Shepard decided that the crew and ship could stay on the Citadel for their shore leave; there wasn't much point in returning to Omega. It was a waste of fuel and time, Thane had left her early that morning, kissing her goodbye and the promise he'd be back soon. He had some business with Mordin he wished to seek out.

"Ah, Thane. Good," Mordin greets in his usual witty self, he moves away from his workbench and waves the Drell inside. "I received your message. Happy to help with a possible treatment. Keprel Syndrome... Problematic," he says with a hand to his flat chin.

Thane finally got to speak and he stood by the door, his hands behind his back. "Yes, I have been offered many possible treatments, but since I have put them off for too long, none are viable to me anymore."

"Not fully correct. Could try a new form of bacteria-killing medication... no wait, will kill you., tailored to Turians only." He paused to think. "Laser treatment? No, silly thought."

Thane waved his hand to slow the professor down, he needed a minute to process all Mordin was throwing at him. "I just want more time with Shepard," he simply says, not needing to see the reason behind lying to the doctor.

"Ah, yes. You and Shepard, good match. Knew for some time." Thane raised his brow ridge in question, Mordin waved him off. "Shepard gave off strong pheromones, you also do now." Thane felt his neck ridges go darker in embarrassment, it seemed the whole none human crew members could just smell what he and Shepard felt for each other.

"Well, I need something that can give me more time with her. I accepted my death long before meeting her." Mordin waves him in, deciding the best place to first start would be with some scans just to see how far the damage had gone.

Shepard woke up to an empty bed, first panicking and then remembering Thane telling her he would be back soon. She stretched her body out, it had been the first night since her resurrection she hadn't had a nightmare, it was blissful.

The skylight above her showed her the Citadel docking bay, the ship currently sat in. Most of the crew would have gone out for the day, others probably felt better staying on the ship. They weren't exactly welcomed with a massive Krogan, Drell Assassin, Justicar and massive ship flying Cerberus colours.

"Shepard, Garrus would like to come in," Edi announces. Shepard jumps out of bed and pulls her clothes that were scattered on the floor from the night before.

"Let him in," she calls as she grabs some water from her coffee table. Her Turian best friend walks in, he instantly smells the night of fun and the state of the pulled back duvets was a dead giveaway for him.

"Well, no wonder why you weren't answering my calls," he slyly says with loose mandibles. Shepard snorts on her drink, forgetting to fix the bed. It would need changing anyway but it looked as if she'd fought with someone on it.

"Shut it, Vakarian," she warns with a pointing finger. Garrus snickered as he joined her on her couch. "What can I do for you?"

"I thought we could hit the bars?" Shepard smiled at that idea, she would love to cause some trouble on the Citadel. Nodding, she got up and headed to her wardrobe to find her favourite dress that Kasumi gifted her when she helped her retrieve her deceased partner's grey box. Though to get it back, they had to kill one of the richest men in the galaxy, Donavon Hock.

"Let me just change and we can head out, did you have a specific bar in mind?" she asks as she goes to the bathroom to change. Garrus followed but stopped by her fish tank to look at the odd creatures.

"No," he calls back. There were hundreds of bars on the Citadel, it wouldn't take them long to find one. "Let's just go out and find a place."

"No idea." She emerged a few minutes later, letting her hair fall back as she brushed it behind her ears. Garrus mandibles went loose, he quickly cleared his throat and looked at the ground. "Jesus, Vakarian. We need to get you laid," Shepard joked as she slapped his arm.

"I don't want to get laid as much as you do with Krios," he shot back. Shepard glared at him as she went bright red. He laughed as they both left to head out to the bars.

Thane expected Shepard to still be on the ship when he finished with Mordin. The Salarian was confident he could help Thane with his symptoms, but a cure was quite far fetched even with today's technology.

"Edi, where is Shepard?" he asks as he comes to a stop in the middle of her room. He knew Garrus had been there, he could smell the Turian. Edi's hologram popped up in the corner of the room.

"The Commander left with Mr Vakarian and other crew members to quote 'hit the town'," the AI replies. Thane smirked, he knew it was too much to think Shepard wouldn't go drinking the second she got the chance.

"And where have they gone to do this?" Edi paused for a moment to get their location.

"A bar called The Dark Star." Thane knew the place, it was where they found Mouse when they were trying to find his son. That place was a shithole and Thane hated it, but he decided to have some fun and find his Siha.

Shepard knew she couldn't get drunk, but bringing Grunt was a bad idea. The Krogan was causing so much trouble and havoc that they were lucky to not have been kicked out already. Tali had drunk herself into the table an hour ago and was fast asleep. Garrus and Jack were having a drinking competition, Kasumi disappeared hours ago and Zaeed was playing Poker in the far corner with some random people.

"Sheparddddddddd," Grunt roars as she falls into her, Ryncol spilling everywhere. "Drink this," he says as he waves it in her face. The smell is nearly enough to make her lurch forward in sickness. But being nearly drunk and having a good time was enough for her to grab the bottle and down nearly the lot.

"Shepard," Garrus slurred. "That will kill... you," he hiccuped. Shepard threw the bottle over her shoulder and danced off her worries, knowing the drink wouldn't kill her. Grunt tried to dance, but he fell into a booth and refused to get up after that.

Shepard was shaking her hips and throwing her arms around until an arm went around her waist. Thinking it was Thane she turned to greet him, only it was some drunk Turian. "You can move," he drunkenly says to her.

"Fuck off," she says pushing him away. The Turian wasn't phased, he moved closer to her.

"You got a mouth on you, why don't you use it on me?" Shepard was ready to beat the living hell out of the drunk buffoon but Thane already beat her to it. He wrapped his arm around the Turians neck and flipped him over his shoulder.

"The fuck!" The Turian shouts as he gets back up. "The hell is your problem Drell?" Thane hisses at the drunkard, it seems to work as he backs away and quickly scurries away.

"Are you okay, Siha?" She stares at him before throwing her arms around his shoulders and pressing her arm lips into his. Thane moans in her mouth as he tastes the unreal amount of alcohol she had drunk.

"Commander Shepard?" Yet another person called from behind them, Thane pulls back but keeps his tight hold of her waist as he looks at a woman in a dress run over with a VI recorder floating beside her.

"Shit," Shepard moans, knowing who it was.

"Commander. Khalisah Bint Sinan al-Jilani. Who is this, Commander? Are you in a relationship with this Drell?" Thane instantly stiffened when the VI recorder moved closer to the two and took several pictures.

"Fuck off, Khalsiah. That is none of your business." She pulls Thane with her as she barges past the woman and they head back to the crew.

"You are sleeping with another species? Is that how you want the world to see the first human Specter?" Shepard froze, dropped her hand from Thane's and turned to glare at the woman.

"I don't get a shit what the world thinks. Yeah, I'm fucking a Drell, he's better than any human. Now fuck off before I punch you again!" she warns as they leave. Shepard didn't even tell anyone as she dragged Thane away and back to the ship.

"Shepard, slow down," Thane says as he is dragged back to their room. Shepard finally dropped his hand and started to shake. "Siha?" Thane mutters as he wraps his arms around her.

"I fucked up, I shouldn't have said that. The Alliance will be pissed and the Council. Fuck, what have I done?" she cries into his shoulder. Thane leads her to the bed as he lays her down on his chest.

"I am sure they will not react as bad as you may think. You were defending yourself, nothing more." Shepard shook her head, she knew he was wrong.

Though did Shepard know just how much trouble she was now in?"

A/N: Hey guys, I'm back. I've missed this book, been nice having a break but Thane and Shepard are screaming for more attention. Now let's see how the universe will react to the famous Commander Shepard dating a Drell. Until next time.
