A/N: Fluffy? Fluffy
Disclaimer: I don't own Chuck
"You need to smolder more," the little girl in the Pascal costume said. Chuck used every skill he had learned at the Buy More Nerd Herd desk to not roll his eyes or kill Morgan's niece. Morgan had begged him to help him out by taking Bailey trick or treating. What Chuck didn't know was Bailey wanted him to be in character…some guy named Flynn Ryder.
"I don't know what the he….ck a smolder is," Chuck groused, catching himself before he said something inappropriate in front of Bailey.
"When we come to the next house, make sure and smolder at the girl, so I get more candy," Bailey ordered. "We have a quota to achieve."
"A quota?" Chuck asked. The little girl glared at him and Chuck gulped. "A quota," he said, nodding.
Bailey rang the doorbell and it opened. Chuck stood there, forcing himself not to let his jaw drop at the beautiful woman in front of him. "Trick or treat!" Bailey sang out. "Oh, you're beautiful, you look just like Rapunzel!"
"Thank you," the woman said, smiling at the little girl, and then looking up at Chuck. "And look at you, getting your dad to dress up as Flynn Ryder. He even kinda looks like him."
"I really don't see it," Chuck muttered.
"He's not my dad," Bailey emphasized, making the woman snort. She looked up at Chuck who had his lips pressed together and his eyes widened and she snorted again. "This is my uncle's friend, Chucky."
"It's Chuck," he corrected. "I was doing my friend a favor," Chuck said, glancing down at Bailey, and then back to Sarah. "He needed to work tonight."
"What about her parents?" Sarah asked.
"They hate Halloween," Bailey told them. Chuck looked down at her, concerned. "The only times I get to go trick or treating is when Morgan takes me. He's the best."
"He is a good guy," Chuck agreed. "Well, we've taken up enough of…this nice lady's time."
"Sarah," she said. Chuck looked at her. "Sarah Walker."
"Sarah, could I ask you a favor?" Bailey asked. Sarah glanced at Chuck, who looked lost. "Can you come trick or treating with us? It makes no sense for Pascal to be with Flynn, but if Flynn were with Pascal and Rapunzel…"
"Bailey, wait, you can't just ask someone to go trick or treating with you," Chuck said.
"She's not a psycho," Bailey replied, making Chuck blink.
"How do you know I'm not a psycho?" Sarah asked, amused by the little girl.
"You're too pretty, plus, he has a good judge of character," Bailey said, thrusting her thumb toward Chuck. "And he's crazy about you."
"Whaaaaaaatttt?" Chuck asked, turning red. Sarah twisted her lips, and looked away.
"Please, Sarah?" Bailey asked. Sarah looked at the poor guy in over his head and stuck her head back in the door.
"Mom, Dad, I'm going out, would one of you get the candy?" Sarah asked. Chuck stood there, wide eyed. "It is okay, right?"
"How do you know I'm not a psycho?" Chuck asked.
"You might be," Sarah admitted. "You're the one trick or treating with someone else's kid."
"Point," Chuck admitted.

"You two are screwing everything up," Bailey said a few houses later.
"I am a psycho," Chuck muttered, making Sarah snort.
"You two are supposed to be in love," Bailey continued.
"Well, we just met, and that takes a while," Chuck told the little girl.
"Does it?" Sarah asked, making Chuck turn to her. "I mean, you don't think you can just meet someone and know they're special?"
"I mean, sure, you can, but…but…how do you know it's not just…" he glanced down at the little girl and then back at Sarah. He widened his eyes, making her laugh.
"But when you meet people, sometimes…you just know who's a good one and who's not," Sarah replied.
"True," Chuck said.
"So you're not in love with me?" Sarah asked.
"At this very moment…no," Chuck admitted. "I mean it would take a few dates I would think, at the minimum."
"Can you two fake it until then?" An irate Bailey asked. "We need candy here people!"
"How would you like us to fake it?" Sarah asked.
"Hold his hand," Bailey said. Sarah held out her hand and Chuck looked at her. "Hold it!"
"Hey, you don't just take someone's hand," Chuck said. He looked at Sarah, who was fighting a grin. "Do you mind if I hold your hand."
"I think I could suffer through it," Sarah told him.
"My palms sweat when I get nervous," Chuck admitted.
"Do I make you nervous…Chuck?" she asked emphasizing the "k".
"In all sorts of way," Chuck replied, his eyes widening as he realized what he just said.
"Come on Flynn and Rapunzel, we've got candy to get!" Bailey said, marching off on a mission.

"Thanks for inviting me to the after-party," Sarah said, leaning against the same table Chuck was.
"I figured it was the least I could do after you had to go through that special slice of hell," Chuck told her.
"What was so bad about it?" Sarah asked. "I got to watch a little girl have fun, hang out with a nice guy, and he didn't even sweat on me half as much as I was expecting."
"You must have been prepared to drown," Chuck muttered. Sarah chuckled. "So…about what you were saying earlier?"
"What about?" Sarah asked, keeping her face straight, but knowing as she took a sip of her drink.
"You know who the good ones are," Chuck began.
"Yeah, what about it?" Sarah asked, sucking an ice cube out of her cup.
"You're gonna make me do this, aren't you?" Chuck asked. He saw the twinkle in her eye. "Fine." He took a deep breath. "Am I a good one?"
She sucked on the ice cube for a second. "Yep," she said, grinning at him.
"Jesus, you don't make this easy," Chuck said, shaking his head at her, returning the grin.
"Nothing worthwhile is easy," she replied.
He was silent a second. "I think it has to be the fourth date before I touch that line," he muttered.
"Four more after this one, or does this count as one of the four?" she asked.
"This is a date?" Chuck asked.
"Do you want it to be?" Sarah countered.
"I wouldn't hate it if it was," Chuck admitted.
"Lame," Bailey said, walking up to the two of them.
"I thought you were with Devon," Chuck said, getting worried.
"I was, but I thought I'd come over here and see if you two had figured things out," Bailey told him. "Rapunzel, you're going to have to kiss him, he just doesn't get it."
"No wait-" Chuck began, but that's as far as he got because Sarah turned his lips to hers and pulled him into a kiss. After a minute she pulled away.
"Well?" Bailey asked.
"Not lame," Sarah told her with a smirk.
"Night Rapunzel!" Bailey yelled, skipping back to the apartment.
"Night Pascal!" Sarah called after her. She turned to Chuck who was standing there looking stunned. "So are you gonna give me your phone number or do I have to go into your pants pocket to get your phone?" Chuck blinked but didn't speak. "Well?"
"Trying to figure out the best answer to that question," Chuck admitted, making her laugh.

Sarah walked into the Buy More the next day, and saw him. She smiled, walked over to the short man with a beard and gave him a high five. "You were right."
"I mean, I know my Chuck," Morgan said with a shrug. "He just needed a little prodding. You will be gentle, won't you."
Sarah just smiled and headed back toward the door. "SARAH!" Morgan called after her, grinning.
A/N: Was that fluffy enough? Be well my friends.
