A/N: I was working on Lights, Camera, Action and saw yet another Target meme and decided to do this.
Disclaimer: I don't own Chuck
His phone rang interrupting his popcorn eating. He sat down the box, fished his phone out of his pocket, saw who was calling, grinned, and answered the phone. "Hey, Ellie, do you need something from Target?"
"You're not really there are you?" Ellie asked.
"Yep," Chuck chirped throwing another kernel of popcorn into his mouth.
"Chuuuucckkk," Ellie whined. "I told you I was sorry."
A few nights earlier, Ellie had stopped by Target for one thing and ended up coming home with three bags full. She had just worked her fourth straight twelve hour shift. "I swear, I just wanted one thing," Ellie bemoaned to her laughing brother.
"Well, you seem to have no will power at that store," Chuck quipped, still laughing.
She hated the next words that came out of her mouth. She was tired, it had been a long four days, and she didn't feel like being made fun of. "Well maybe you should go hang out at Target since women are always coming home with stuff from there they don't mean to."
"BURRRNNNNN!" Awesome yelled, laughing. Chuck pressed his lips together and didn't say anything.
"Oh, baby brother," Ellie said, springing up and grabbing him in a hug. "I am so sorry! I was trying to get you to leave me alone. That was mean and I'm sorry."
"It's okay, Ellie," Chuck told her. "It's okay."
The words stayed with him for a few days, and when Morgan called him that morning, Chuck grinned thinking about the slight rib he could get in on his sister. For some reason, Buy More and Target had decided to swap employees as a test run. Morgan tried to explain why, but Chuck was extremely confused. He got what the Buy More got out of this swap….but Target?
The controller Chuck had wanted, the ocean blue clear, had finally arrived. It was a limited release, and Morgan had always taken care of him at the Buy More, but at Target…they had rules. When Morgan called him that morning telling him a truck was coming in that day, Chuck knew he'd have to hang out all day and wait for the truck.
As he left the apartment, he heard Ellie call out, asking him where he was going. He couldn't help but reply, "To Target to see if some woman will take me home."
"Chuck," Ellie said, snapping him out of his thoughts.
"I'm here waiting on a controller, Ellie, it's honestly got nothing to do with you, I'm just messing with you," Chuck assured her.
"Well, I'm still sorry for what I said the other day," she apologized again.
"It's fine, Ellie," Chuck told her. "You know, we should get popcorn here more often. It's as good as the movie theater, but a quarter of the price."
"You're weird," Ellie said. She was silent for a moment. "So, anyone looking to buy you yet?" He heard the giggle on the other end.
"What's that, Ellie, I'm going through a tunnel." He started making a noise that was supposed to sound like static.
"Good-bye you goof," she said, hanging up. Chuck saw a woman about his age walk in with a little girl that looked to be five or six years old. He waved at the little girl that was looking at him, and she waved back. The woman gave him a look, and Chuck realized he probably looked like some kind of weirdo.
"Guess I'll go to electronics and hang with Morgan," Chuck said, losing his appetite for popcorn.

Chuck was playing the demo unit, killing time, waiting for the controller to be checked in so he could buy it. He was playing an animated game with a huge elephant that kept destroying things.
"Can I have a turn when you're done?" he heard behind him. Chuck turned around and saw the little girl from earlier.
"Where's your mom?" Chuck asked.
"At home," the child replied, giving Chuck a strange look.
"She left you here alone?"
"No, she never came with me," the little girl answered. "Can I play?"
"Sure," Chuck told her, moving out of the way. "So who was that woman you were with and does she know you're here?"
"Yep," the little girl chirped. "That's my big sister, Sarah. She told some lady there was a…what did she say…oh yeah, pre-vert."
"Pre-vert?" Chuck asked. "You mean, pervert?"
"That's it!" the little girl yelled. "But the woman she told said that the pre-vert was a nice guy and was a friend of the electric man that worked here and was waiting on a controller."
"I see," Chuck told her.
"I guess Sarah is friends with the woman, because the woman told her I could go wait over here and I would be fine. She said a mister tall, dark, and curly would make sure I'm okay."
"Who is the woman?" Chuck asked, not realizing he had a secret admirer.
"It's probably Stacy, the manager," Morgan said. Chuck nearly jumped. "Sorry, dude, I was working on inventory, and heard the whole thing. Stacey's been asking about you a lot."
"Oh, God, Ellie will never let me hear the end of this," Chuck groused.
"Well, let's get your controller bought and get you out of here," Morgan said with a smile, holding up the controller.
"THAT'S IT!" the little girl shrieked beside him, nearly making Chuck and Morgan lose their hearing. "That's the controller I've been waiting for!"
Chuck gave Morgan a look. "That's the last one, dude," Morgan said softly.
"Is everything okay?" Chuck turned and saw the woman from earlier. He assumed her name was Sarah. "You okay, Molly?"
"Yes!" Molly nearly shrieked. "My controller is here!"
"Uh," Morgan began.
"It's a good thing you got here when you did, Sarah is it?" Sarah nodded. "Those are very rare."
"Chuck," Morgan began.
"My friend Morgan here was holding on to it to find the perfect owner for it, and I think Miss Molly here would be the perfect owner, don't you Morgs?" Morgan gave his friend a look, sighed, and nodded. "Well, lovely to meet you, I have to go." And with that, Chuck turned and left.
"Damn it," Sarah swore. "That was the guy Stacy said I should meet. Supposedly a good guy."
"He did wait here all day for this controller," Morgan told Sarah. Sarah stared at Morgan. "So Stacy was asking about Chuck, for you?" Sarah nodded. "I have an idea."

On Monday, Chuck walked into his office looking at the file he had been handed by Daphne. He didn't even notice the woman sitting in the chair across from his desk eating popcorn. He sat down, looked up, saw Sarah, and went back to the file. His brain processed what he saw and looked back up.
"I need your help," Sarah said, popping a piece of popcorn in her mouth. "I went to Target this weekend with the plan of taking something home but it left before I could get it."
Chuck's eyes bulged out of his head, and Sarah laughed. "Morgan told me to say that," she explained. "Stacy had been telling me about this guy I needed to meet and that we could probably find out about him from his friend if we pressured him a bit."
"If by pressured you mean asking Morgan for my name, address, phone number, and pants size, all you have to is ask, then sure, pressured." Sarah laughed. "Did Molly enjoy her controller?"
"It glows the softest blue when she uses it," Sarah told him. Chuck shook his head, grinning. "That was a very kind thing."
"Well, what can I say, I wouldn't want to be thought of as a pre-vert." Sarah laughed again. "So, Sarah, what can I do for you?"
"How do you feel about Mexican food?"
A/N: I'm pretty sure we ALL know how they both feel about Mexican food. Thanks for reading.
