As the years went by, Tramp made himself at home. He was living with his new owners became like family. Each day, Tramp would wake the them up, that way they wouldn't be late for their jobs. After they left, he would go to the backyard to talk to the other neighborhood dogs, Jock and Trusty. They were his closest friends. Tramp knew them since puphood. Of course when Jim and Darling come back from their jobs, Tramp welcomed them back home. He would bark happily as they pet him. Sometimes, when he had time from his busy schedule he would dig holes and bark at birds...life was grand for Tramp!
One day, in the living room, Tramp was with his owners, Jim and Darling. They walkied towards him, bringing over a small present. Jim put it on the floor near him and they both had smiles across their faces. Tramp was confused what they smiling about. He tried to look on what is inside of the present. He slid off the cover of the box to look inside as his ears went up to what he was seeing...it was a collar! He looked up at his owners and looking back down at the collar. That was when Jim walked over to pick up the collar and then had put it over Tramp's head as it had went down on his neck,
"This is for you, Tramp, since you finally come of age.",said Jim.
Tramp started getting excited. He let his tongue out, smiling at both Jim and Darling. Then, he ran through his doggy-door to the backyard while Jim and Darling watched from the inside smiling proudly.
