A/N: You know me, I'm gonna OTP

Disclaimer: I don't own Chuck

He placed the file in the cabinet, shut the drawer, and saw the two blue eyes peering at him. "No," he said before she could say a word. He turned and knew she was behind him, matching him stride for stride.

"I haven't even said anything," she protested. Chuck sat down at his desk, as she placed two hands on his desk, and leaned close…too close. "I haven't even made an offer yet."

"Carina, you know I love you, and you're one of my best friends, but if you think I'm taking one of your offers…" he trailed off and gave her a look. She smirked proudly.

"Probably best," Carina said. "I'd probably break you and have to have pity sex with you all the time because you'd just curl up on my doorstep."

"I think you're projecting what you'd do," Chuck said, turning back to his screen.

"The cub has grown claws," Carina said. "Rawwr," she said, making a clawing motion at him. Chuck rolled his eyes, and tried to go back to work, but Carina was having none of it. She pushed his chair back, and in a smooth motion, sat down on his lap, wrapping her arms around him, crossing her legs, and batting her eyes at him. "Chuck, please."

"No," Chuck replied. "Do I need to call HR?"

"Pbbbth," Carina replied. "Wait, no, you don't."

"What did you do?"

"Well, Bob isn't really happy with me," Carina admitted.

"You went out with him?" Chuck asked.

"No, and that's why he's unhappy with me," Carina replied. "If he'd of gone out with me, he would be very happy."

"I need you to get off my lap so I can get to work," Chuck told her.

"You know, your lap is quite comfortable," Carina said, ignoring Chuck. "I have a few phone calls to make today. Maybe I could just have them transfered down here." She wiggled her ass against him. "Too far."

"We were too far about three miles back," Chuck grumbled. He reached around her and began to try and type. Carina just sat there.

"Good god, you're like a dog with a bone," Carina muttered. "Maybe I should give you a whirl curls. You seem like a pleaser."

Chuck leaned back and sighed. "If I listen to your question, will you leave me alone?"

"I will get off your lap," Carina countered.

"Fine," Chuck relented. Carina stood up, and turned around to face him. "Let's hear it."

"You sure you don't want me on your lap while I ask you?" Carina asked, grinning.

"I'm sure," Chuck told her. Carina leaned in close, their noses inches away, and she gave him a peck on the cheek. "What was that, that was almost…kind."

"What can I say, you affect me, Curls," Carina said, pulling away, winking at him. "So, you know my friend, Sarah-"

"I am not going to ask her out because you want me to," Chuck cut in, turning back to his computer. Suddenly he was turned back to face Carina. He looked at her arm on the chair that had turned him. "Sorry, continue your question."

"She has had a series of awful dates, and thinks there are no good men out there," Carina continued.

"I mean, she's probably not wrong," Chuck told Carina.

"Seriously, zip it till I'm done, okay," Carina told him.

"Aw, do you tell all your dates that?" Chuck asked, grinning.

She leaned in, her eyes flashing dangerously. "Keep it up, and I'll really turn up the flirting." Chuck gulped. "Good," she chirped. She pulled back, but not far. "I've made a bet with her, that there are good guys out there, that do want to go on dates, to get to know people, that let things happen naturally, that aren't just looking to hook up."

"Let me guess, I'm your ringer," Chuck said, frowning.

"I mean, you are all of what I described," Carina told him.

"Yeah, but-"

"Chuck, I'm asking you to take Sarah out, and do something…well…like you would do. Just be you. That's all I'm asking. Actually be a little more you than normal," Carina said. "And-and, anything you need to make this happen, I will pay for."

"Anything?" Chuck asked.

"And I'll owe you a favor," she added, bouncing her eyebrows.

"Please, no," Chuck begged. "Please don't owe me any favors."

"Fine," she whined. "No sexual favors."

Chuck was silent for a moment, thinking. "Do you own a trampoline?"

"Jesus, Chuck, I said one of your dates, not one of mine."

"Probably gonna need it washed and sanitize," Chuck admitted.

"Or I could just buy a new one," Sarah offered.

"Probably the best idea yet," Chuck agreed.

"You know, I never thought I'd be on a trampoline with a guy on the first date," Sarah said.

"I know, I'm a wild guy," Chuck said. "Ooo, ooo, look!" They had gone to a movie earlier, an old black and white movie, known as The Thin Man. Afterwards he told her he had a surprise for her. He had told her tonight was a meteor shower and he had the perfect place to watch it. That's how Sarah found herself on a trampoline, with her own pillow and blanket, watching a meteor shower.

"When I was a kid, Dad always did this with me," Chuck said softly.

"Maybe you should call him, and see if he's watching," Sarah said.

"I have no idea where he is, so that would be a little hard," Chuck admitted.

"I'm so sorry," Sarah said. Sarah wasn't sure what to do, she was so far out of her wheelhouse. He had taken her to dinner, they had talked and had a lovely time. He had taken her to the movies, and now she was watching what felt like her own personal meteor shower.

"I appreciate it, but I'm pretty sure you didn't make him leave," Chuck said with a shrug. "OOO! Look at that one," he said pointing.

Sarah smiled, watching the night sky. "Does…does this make you miss him?"

"No, not anymore than any other time, if that's what you mean," Chuck answered. He was silent for a moment. "I mean, you are the first person I've watched a meteor shower with since."

"Thank you for the honor," Sarah said.

"Thank you," Chuck replied.

Two years later.

"And just think, if it wasn't for me, you wouldn't have met and be engaged today," Carina said, proudly. She took a bite of her meal and nearly groaned.

"I have never been so comfortable on a date that I just laid on a trampoline, watching the meteor show, and then the stars, talking, and just feel asleep," Sarah admitted.

"Aren't you glad you lost that bet with Carina?" Chuck asked.

Sarah snorted. "Don't you mean aren't you glad you lost that bet?" She replied. Chuck turned to look at her. "Carina said that you bet her that there weren't any women out there that wanted to be romanced any more."

"No, Carina told me…." Chuck trailed off as the two turned to Carina.

"Carina," they both said at the same time.

"Check please," Carina said, looking around for the waiter.
