Chapter 7 - Interrogation
Lilo held Stitch in her arms still scorched and unconscious after the battle. She held him close and hugged him as her and Jumba made their way towards her home with the other experiments following behind them.
Jumba: Not to be worrying Lilo, Stitch has been through much worse. He was made to be indestructible.
Lilo remained silent, the other experiments also looked worried now knowing what they're up against. Jumba felt guilty for all that has happened, but he believed in what he was doing by keeping 628's true identity a secret a little while longer. They made it to Lilo's house and she asks the experiments to wait for her where the tryout were being held.
Once inside Lilo takes Stitch to Jumba's room and finds the old fusion chamber Jumba made for Stitch when his molecules became unstable and started to deplete. She gently places him inside and turns the machine on, a prompt on the chamber showed Stitch's molecular charge is stable. Jumba enters the room and sees Lilo with her hand on the fusion chamber hoping Stitch is okay.
Lilo: He's not indestructible, remember?
Jumba looks at the chamber and has a flashback of Lilo pulling his hand towards the chamber where Stitch laid lifeless after his molecular charge was fully depleted.
Lilo: Whenever I see him hurt this badly, I can't help but remember when I almost lost him.
Jumba closed his eyes and let out a sigh knowing anything he said would only make things worse.
Lilo: I'm scared to lose him again.
Lilo said as she wiped tears from her eyes. She made her way out of Jumba's room and stood at the open door.
Lilo: Let's go, we've got some cousins waiting on us.
He followed her outside but she stopped at the elevator, he assumed she meant the experiments waiting outside for them but he remembers Nosey and Fibber are waiting for them in Lilo's old room. She pushes the button for the elevator and the two make their way up.
Meanwhile back on the B.R.B 9000, 628 gently places Angel onto one of the beds in the ship's many rooms for her to rest.
628: I'm sorry, Angel. I didn't mean for things to happen this way, I hope when you wake up you can forgive us.
628 steps out along with two Leroy clones and sees Reuben waiting outside the door.
Reuben: Hey cuz, mind if I watch over her? I'll see if I can help calm her down when she wakes up and let her know what's going on.
628: Well, I'll have these two on guard in case things get ugly. From what I've heard, she's a feisty one.
Reuben: Heh, yeah she is. You should see what she did to Bonnie's arm. It's a good thing Stitch is indestructible, he needs to be to handle her when she's angry.
628 looks down at his palms seeing the suit Hamsterviel made for him, knowing he's not as durable as he was once told.
628: Where is Bonnie?
Reuben: Her arm is being looked at by some of the Leroys at the lab.
628: What about the other one?
Reuben: Sparky? Leroy needed his help down in his workshop.
628: I'll head over, we need to undo Angel's song and convince them of our cause.
Reuben: Sounds good, you gotta play her song backwards and they'll be as good as new. Just don't forget to remove the helmet.
628 forgot he put the prototype helmet Hamsterviel made for the suit before they landed on Earth. He removed it and made his way to the lab which is on the way towards Leroy's workshop. When he arrives he sees Bonnie and the two Leroy clones who got hurt in battle having their wounds examined by some more clones.
628: What happened to her arm?
Leroy Clone: Angel broke it during their match at the tryouts.
Bonnie: It's healin' quick though since we's experiments and all.
628 went up to the computer and looked for the file with the recording of Angel's singing. He hits play and Angel singing Aloha Oi begins to play but he quickly pauses as the Leroy watching Bonnie twitches.
628: Soka (my bad). Hmm...
628 thought to himself and noticed the fusion chamber that was in Jumba's lab was fixed. He turned up the dial on his suit a bit to help him think. He pondered for a bit then opened the chamber and asked the Leroy clone to step inside. Once inside he closed it and analyzed the clones DNA on the computer spotting the fail safe Jumba had put in.
628: There it is. We're gonna need the original Leroy to make modifications to this DNA.
628 opened the chamber and the clone stepped out. He then lowered the charge back on his suit.
628: So long as you are all weak to this song we cannot go back to Earth. Now then...
628 went back to the computer and found the part of the recording with Angel's singing. He begins to play it in reverse and Bonnie shakes her head as she is woken up from the trance.
Bonnie: What? Where am I? What's the deal blue boy and where did you get the new suit?
628: Meega is not the same Stitch you know on Earth.
Bonnie sees the Leroy clone and begins to panic.
Bonnie: Whoa? Wait a minute, this is the ship that was attacking us isn't it? Agh...
Bonnie felt pain in her broken arm noticing it has been mended and is in a makeshift cast.
Bonnie: Wait, yous helping me?
628: Ih, we are not your enemies. My goal is to set all our cousins free from Jumba and the Galactic Federation.
Bonnie: Well I've been in prison but that's cuz I couldn't help myself from takin' a few valuables from the humans on Earth. I managed to beat Angel which was my ticket to freedom.
628: And how long until you ended up back in prison cousin? You were programmed by Jumba to steal, I can remove that programming and set you free.
Bonnie: So, if I wanna take something for myself it'll be my choice? Because I love stealin'.
628: Ih, and if you get caught you've got us on your side and we'll break you out of the Galactic Federal prison like we did for Leroy and Reuben. So, do you want to join our ohana?
Bonnie: Well I'd be stupid to pass up an offer like that. Count me in cuz.
Bonnie said as she stuck out her other hand. 628 shakes it and heads to Leroy's lab.
Back on Earth, Jumba is sitting down in Lilo's room as she starts asking him some questions.
Lilo: Did you make a new experiment?
Jumba: No, Jumba has not made new experiments since 629.
Lilo looks over at Fibber who does not buzz.
Lilo: Hmm, did you have any unfinished experiments in your lab when Hamsterviel went there to hide?
Jumba: Every experiment Jumba had planned to create was made to completion.
Fibber: BUZZ!
Jumba: Well, except for 626. Jumba was not able to charge him fully during his creation so technically he is unfinished.
Lilo: And there's no other experiment aside from Stitch that you haven't finished?
Jumba: Correct
Lilo looks over at Fibber again and he does not buzz. Lilo lets out a slight sigh of relief.
Lilo: Well, at least we can be sure it's not a new cousin. So why were you going to your lab so often?
Jumba: As Jumba said before, I do not wish to spoil the surprise.
Lilo: You said it was something you were working on since I was little. I don't think anything from back then could come back to haunt us now, could it?
Just then, Lilo receives a call from the Grand Councilwoman on the command center's main computer.
Grand Councilwoman: I have just been informed that the B.R.B 9000 has been spotted. It is going to pass near a planet that is within Galactic Federation jurisdiction. I've ordered nearby troops to ready an ambush, I suggest you get your team of experiments and head there immediately.
Lilo: We'll be on our way.
Grand Councilwoman: I have also been informed that Dr. Hamsterviel has made a recovery, but we'll have to deal with him after we intercept the B.R.B 9000.
The Grand Councilwoman sends the coordinates and signs off. Lilo is now worried if she'll be able to gather a team of experiments in time.
Jumba: We still have this...
Jumba said as he showed Lilo his list of experiments he made for the team. Lilo looks at it and some of the experiments who have been winning the tryouts are listed on it, so she trusts that it's good enough.
Lilo: Nosey and Fibber, you guys stay here. We'll need you for when we're going to question Hamsterviel.
Nosey: We'll be here. Sorry I wasn't much help to you Lilo but I've already told you most of Jumba's secrets over the past few years. Though I did notice something interesting. If Leroy is experiment 629 and 627 is on planet Turo, who is experiment 628?
Jumba: T-that will have to wait for another time, we must hurry if we are to intercept Leroy and 625 on the Big Red Battleship.
Stitch: Ih
Said Stitch as he arrived on the elevator still somewhat scorched from the plasma and electricity and wearing his signature red jumpsuit.
Lilo: Stitch! Are you feeling better?
Stitch: Ih, meega is ready to save boojiboo.
Lilo: Alright let's go. And Jumba, I want to know more about this 628th experiment on our way to the coordinates the Grand Councilwoman sent.
Jumba: Very well, let us be going.
Lilo, Jumba, and Stitch head out back to gather the experiments on Jumba's list. Once done they quickly board Jumba's ship and head towards where the B.R.B 9000 as spotted.
Meanwhile on the B.R.B, 628 enters Leroy's workshop where he sees Leroy using one of Sparky's antennas as an arc welder.
628: How's the work going cuz?
Leroy lifts up his welding goggles and turns around to face 628.
Leroy: Just putting the finishing touches on my first custom weapon. What do you think?
Leroy said as he showed 628 a very large plasma blaster sitting on his work bench.
628: Egalagoo, it looks like one of the blasters the UGF troopers had but bigger.
Leroy: Yeah I used two of those and the blaster from one of the police cruisers I scrapped back when we were salvaging Jumba's lab. This gun will be mine, naturally I get the biggest one but I've already got plans for all of our cousins. Sparky here has been helping me save on gas by using his electricity.
Sparky: Hehaha, Kanjijibe, ziz-ziz
628: Speaking of which, I'd like for both of you to come to the lab. I found a way to remove that fail-safe from your DNA, and we need to undo Angel's song from Sparky.
Leroy: Yeah I already did that
628: Huh? Really?
Leroy: Of course, this guy's been sitting alone in a lighthouse for nearly a decade. He's just happy to be involved, but don't worry, I already told him all about us.
Just then Reuben comes rushing over to Leroy's lab and catches his breath.
Reuben: *pant*Hey, guys *pant*, I wanted to surprise Angel with some sandwiches for when she woke up but I forgot we never got bread when we landed on Earth. The other Leroy's say we're about to pass an earthlike planet, can we go and get some?
628: Ih, we need to refuel anyway. We can land and figure out a plan to get the rest of our cousins.
Reuben: Sweet, I'm gonna hop onto one of the cruisers and find a store. Wanna come with me Lee?
Leroy: Eh, sure. Besides it's just about time for my clones to rotate turns flying the cruisers. Let's take the one without the blaster, it'll give me more of a reason to take my new weapon.
Leroy calls the police cruiser and opens the B.R.B's door.
Leroy: Alright boys, we'll take it from here. You guys rest.
The Leroy clones from the cruiser hop out and enter the ship looking tired as Leroy and Reuben enter the cruiser, Leroy hops in with his new weapon and the two make their way towards the planet.
Just behind the planet's moon, there are several UGF trooper ships waiting.
Trooper: We've spotted one of the stolen police cruisers from the prison heading this way. Everyone get into your positions and wait for the signal...
Back on the cruiser, Leroy is piloting the ship while Reuben sits in the passenger seat.
Leroy: So have you thought about what kind of gun you want me to make ya?
Reuben: Uhh... well I'm not much of a gun person to be honest.
Leroy: Come on, there's gotta be something you could use?
Reuben: Well, what about something to capture experiments? Like the one Gantu had when me and him were working for Hamsterviel.
Leroy: Those net launcher ones? I'll see what I can do. I was thinking more along the lines of a flamethrower.
As the two approach the planet, a large group of federation ships come out from behind the planet's moon and begin firing.
Reuben: Watch Out!
Leroy: Choota, it's an ambush! Hold on!
Leroy takes evasive maneuvers and dodges the blasts, one of them managing to hit the underside of the cruiser.
Leroy: Those trogs are gonna pay.
Reuben: I'll call 628 for help.
Reuben opened the ships communicator and calls the B.R.B which is trailing behind them.
Reuben: Hey cuz, we need help!
628: Fly towards us, I'll ready the ship's weapon.
Leroy: No! Reuben, take the wheel. I got this. I hope you're watching cuz, it's time to put this bad boy to the test.
Reuben: Are you serious?! Have you even tested it yet?
Leroy: No, but now seems like a good time.
Leroy jumps to the back of the cruiser and Reuben takes control of the ship. Leroy extends his extra arms and picks up the weapon.
Reuben: I hope you know what you're doing Lee...
Leroy opens the ship's roof and climbs on top carrying the large plasma rifle with all four of his arms. He turns on the weapon's laser sights and points it towards one of the ships and pulls the trigger. Immediately a barrage of plasma blasts shoot out of one of the four barrels on the gun and Leroy fires it from the hip due to its size, he hit a few of the ships that were close and the rest make evasive maneuvers to avoid the blasts.
Leroy: I didn't even bother to put regular sights on this bad boy.
Reuben: Are you sure it's working?
Leroy: Don't underestimate my expertise cuz, I hit a few of them.
Reuben: Yeah but only one of the barrels is shooting.
Leroy: Oh, that. Heh, you'll see.
Trooper: Leroy is on top of their ship firing it at us, send the back up!
Just then even more ships reveal themselves behind the planet's moon and begin firing at the police cruiser. Reuben attempts to dodge them but the amount of blasters aiming at them is becoming overwhelming.
Reuben: I can't keep this up much longer Lee!
Leroy: Alright here goes...
Leroy flips a switch on the blaster and changes his grip, much like that of a mini-gun.
Leroy: Nala Kweesta!
He pulls the trigger and the four barrels on the weapon begin spinning, firing plasma blasts at an incredible rate hitting several ships. As he's holding down the trigger the fire rate of his weapon continues to increase and the barrels spin faster and faster. The troopers attempt to dodge but one by one they are being taken out and crash land onto the moon and some crash towards the planet.
Leroy laughs manically, as his weapon continues to fire faster and faster, the barrels beginning to turn red at the tip glowing more and more intense as large bluish green flames begin to emit from the barrels due to the heat. His eyes flash green for a second and his laugh grew a bit distorted. Reuben assumed 628 had caught up but the B.R.B was still slowly approaching behind them. He looked over at Leroy and saw his eyes flashing green
Troopers: Mission failed! Retreat!
Leroy: AHAHAHAHA! Detaka!
Reuben: Leroy stop, we won.
Leroy then snapped out of his frenzied state, and noticed the rest of the ships flying away. Reuben stops the ship and the B.R.B catches up.
628: Very bootifa Leroy
Said 628 over the communicator. Leroy looked over at the B.R.B and sees 628 in the cockpit window as well as Leroy clones cheering.
Reuben: Come on get back in
Leroy caught his breath in the excitement and noticed the barrels of his gun were still red hot and had small plasma flames on the tip of the barrels.
Leroy: It's okay, I gotta wait for this to cool off.
Reuben: Alright, hang on tight. I'm going down for a landing...
Reuben: ((What in the world was that? He had the same eyes as 628 when he powers up))
628 also noticed Leroy's eyes turning green and hearing his voice through the communications. He looks down at the node on his palm, wondering if this has anything to do with what happened back during their prison escape. He looks over at the moon and sees numerous ships crash landed on it.
628: You guys go on ahead, I'm gonna take the rest of the Leroys over to the moon real quick.
628 lands the B.R.B on the planet's moon and opens the ship's door. He steps out along with 20 or so Leroy Clones. They see federation troopers crawling out of the crashed ships who turn over at the experiments and put their hands up in surrender.
628: Nice ships. Alright boys, you know what to do.
The Leroy clones begin scraping and repairing the fallen ships.
Meanwhile back on Jumba's ship, Lilo and Stitch are seen handing out jumpsuits to the rest of the experiments. Experiments such as Splodyhead, Slushy, Thresher, Ace, Yaarp, Snafu, Houdini, Spike and more.
Jumba ponders as he pilots the ship awaiting his talk with Lilo. He looks out of the window and begins thinking about the past, when Lilo and everyone else was happy to see Stitch alive after his molecules had depleted and he made a miraculous recovery. While everyone was happy and overjoyed, Jumba also smiled but when no one was around he became distressed over the situation.
The night of the day Stitch was okay, when everyone was asleep, Jumba sneaked into Lilo's room and picked Stitch up from his bed. He felt slightly cold in Jumba's arms and his breathing was very slow. Jumba looked over at Lilo and headed out into his ship. He placed Stitch into the fusion chamber of his ship, the same one 627 was created in and hit a button turning Stitch into a pod showing the number 626.
Jumba picked it up and opened his drawer finding some white out and a brush, he then took the pod and painted over the 2nd number six on it and placed the pod into a secret compartment in his ship. The pod now reading, 628.
