So, last time, Bobby and Lori have dreamt about living happily ever after in a fantasy world. But at the end, their dream had taken a dark turn, and Lori is now worried. Elsewhere, Alex has his agenda set on raising hell for the Loud Family. How does he plan to do so? You'll just have to wait and find out.
Also, this chapter might be shorter than the last one. But trust me, the next one's going to be longer.
I want to thank DukeyDukeyDoo and Mike The Red Engine for helping me proofread, as usual.
And now, on with the story.
Chapter 35: The Morning After
The next morning in Apartment B3. 6:29 AM...
[The alarm went off as soon as the clock reached 6:30 AM. Lori stirred for a bit before her hand managed to find the clock and her index finger pushed the off switch. Afterward, the blonde let out a yawn before she groggily opened her eyes. She looked over and noticed that her boyfriend was still asleep. It had been a pretty rough night last night and Bobby had to spend some of it calming Lori down.]
[In any case, Lori got out of bed and wobbled into the bathroom to get herself freshened up. As soon as she shut the door, it was Bobby's turn to open his eyes. With a yawn, the Latino sat up and stared at the bathroom door for a moment. Bobby then got out of bed and walked over to the bathroom door. He knocked on the door a few times before allowing himself in. As soon as he walked in, the first thing he saw was the shower running. Of course, he didn't have to guess who was in there due to the familiar shadow behind the curtain.]
Lori: "Good morning, Bobby."
Bobby: "Buenos dias, Babe. How are you feeling?"
[Bobby then started to brush his teeth as Lori replied.]
Lori: "I'm fine. Thanks for asking."
[Once Bobby had finished, he took a swig of water and spat it into the sink before leaving the bathroom. After a few more minutes, Lori turned the shower off and grabbed a towel to dry herself off. As soon as she got out of the shower, she walked over to the mirror before checking herself over.]
Lori: Okay... Only 15 more days and the wait will finally be over. I really hope nothing else unfortunate happens until then.
[It was around 7:00, and Jill had made them a frittata for breakfast along with some coffee for the man of the house. Lori was also wearing her locket around her neck as a symbol of the life she and Bobby were going to have in a matter of days or weeks. But as Bobby was halfway done with his meal, he noticed the look of uncertainty on his girlfriend's face as she looked down at her frittata piece.]
Bobby: "You feeling okay, Babe? You've hardly touched your food."
[Lori snapped out of her thoughts as she heard Bobby speak.]
Lori: "Oh... I said I'm fine, Bobby."
[Bobby stared at his girlfriend, not feeling the least bit convinced by her little white lie. He took his girlfriend's hand and looked her in the eyes.]
Bobby: "Lori, I've known you since middle school, and I can tell when you don't sound too fine. Just tell me what's on your mind. I'm wide open for you."
[Lori let out a sigh before looking at her boyfriend.]
Lori: "Okay... I still can't stop thinking about that dream we had. It was scary enough being trapped in that cage, but what I think scared me the most was the ending."
Bobby: "I kind of figured... To be honest, I'm just as worried as you are. I mean, that dream was pretty nice for the most part. Too bad it got really graphic at the end. I know I said this before, but for all that Rivers had done in the past, maybe she was onto something about those visions."
Lori: "But, how can we know for sure if any of this will happen?"
[Lori groaned before she continued.]
Lori: "I swear, if there was another fortune teller in this town, we would literally have a second opinion about all this right now!"
[Hearing Lori's plea, Bobby pondered about this matter a bit more until that thought from last night came back to his mind.]
Bobby: "What about Lucy? I mean, doesn't she practice fortune-telling in her spare time?"
[Upon hearing what Bobby had just said, a lightbulb appeared in Lori's head.]
Lori: "Bobby, that's it! I can't believe I forgot about Lucy!"
[Lori smacked herself on the forehead as she continued to speak.]
Lori: "We'll just ask her about these future events and see if they're wrong? Besides, I think we need to pay a little visit to my family anyway."
[Bobby couldn't help but nod in agreement. This idea might have seemed strange to Bobby, but if it'll get his baby mama to calm down, then he just had to play ball.]
Bobby: "I guess it's settled then, Babe. We're going back to Casa Loud!"
[Once breakfast was over, Bobby got up, helped Lori out of her chair, and guided her to the front door. Just as they reached the door, Lori turned her head to look at the robot.]
Lori: "Take care of the place while we're gone, Jill."
Jill: Affirmative...auntie... You and Bobby...take care...
[Lori smiled as she and Bobby headed out the door. The couple then started heading down the stairs as Bobby made sure she didn't fall.]
Bobby: "How come she doesn't call me uncle?"
Lori: "Well, we're not exactly husband and wife yet...are we?"
Bobby: "Fair point."
[Upon reaching the bottom of the steps and exiting the building, Bobby guided Lori to Cathy. Bobby took the wheel while Lori sat beside him and the two drove off towards the Loud House.]
[As soon as they left, a certain ex-detective got out of his truck and walked up to the front door of the building.]
[Koch looked behind him to see the SUV leave the scene before looking over to his truck and giving the thumbs up. He then opened the door and walked into the building just as a woman's high heel boot emerged from the truck.]
Later...
[The drive was quiet for a while. As they were halfway to the Loud House, Lori was staring out the window watching everything pass by. Bobby finally decided to break the silence.]
Bobby: "So, how are you holding up?"
[Lori snapped out of her thoughts before looking at her boyfriend.]
Lori: "A little better...but, I don't know. I can't really get those images out of my head. And that horrible ending to our dreams literally doesn't help either."
[Bobby could see the uncertainty in his girlfriend's eyes and put his hand on her shoulder for reassurance.]
Bobby: "Don't you worry about it, Lori. I know it was really scary, but I can't have you in fear all the time. That's why we're doing this together."
[Lori flashed a smile at her boyfriend and nodded. She then put her hand on Bobby's cheek only to turn his head to face the road, snapping the Latino back to reality.]
Bobby: "Sorry. Got lost in the moment."
[Lori could only roll her eyes in a playful manner.]
Lori: "So, once we get to my family's house, how are we going about this? And please keep your eyes on the road when you answer this time."
Bobby: "Right."
[Bobby cleared his throat as he kept his eyes focused on the road ahead.]
Bobby: "The way I see it: When we find the right place and time, say...Royal Woods Elementary during recess, we'll go ask Lucy if these visions will come true or not. I mean, who knows? Maybe what Lucy sees will be different from what Rivers predicted? But for now, we have to be patient. Okay?"
[Lori smiled and nodded in response.]
Lori: "I hope you're right, Boo-Boo Bear. If anybody can see our futures, it's Lucy."
Bobby: "Well, there's only one way to find out. We'll just have to wait until the right moment."
Meanwhile, at the Loud House...
[The Louds and Ronnie Anne had just gotten themselves dressed and were having breakfast in the dining room, as per usual. It was just another typical start to another school day in the Loud House, so there was nothing too out of the ordinary so far...apart from the absence of Leni, which was noticed by the family patriarch. Ronnie Anne also looked like she just got out of bed, which was kind of concerning to Lincoln.]
Lynn Sr.: "Now, where is Leni?"
[Lynn Sr. turned his attention towards his kids.]
Lynn Sr.: "Has anyone seen Leni?"
Luna: "No dice, pops."
Lana: "Haven't seen her at all today."
Lisa: "Can't say that I have seen her, since she hasn't come home last night... I assume..."
Lynn Sr.: "Well, that is just bizarre. It's not like her to be out of the house all night."
[Lincoln and Ronnie Anne simply looked at each other, as if they knew something about it. The rest of Lincoln's sisters noticed this and eyed their brother and honorary sister suspiciously.]
Lola: "Lincoln, Ronnie Anne, is there something you need to tell us?"
[Before either of them could answer, the doorbell rang.]
Lynn Sr.: "I got it."
[Lynn Sr. got up from his chair and walked over to the front door. The father of eleven then opened it to see Lori and Bobby standing there.]
Lori: "Hi, Mom and Dad."
[Lori then gave her father a hug as the man of the house returned that embrace.]
Lynn Sr.: "Hey, sweetheart."
[As soon as Lynn Sr. was finished, Rita walked in and noticed the locket around her eldest daughter's neck before taking it in her hand.]
Rita: "Why that's a beautiful locket you have. Did Bobby give it to you?"
[Bobby gave off a playful smirk.]
Bobby: "Well, who else would she be seeing?"
[Lori gave her boyfriend a playful bump on the shoulder for that joke.]
Lori: "Boo-Boo Bear!"
Bobby: "Just kidding. I know you wouldn't leave me hanging."
[Lori rolled her eyes in a playful manner.]
Lynn Sr.: "So, what brings you two here?"
Lori: "Not much, really. Bobby and I needed a little break from the apartment, so we thought we'd stop by and pay you guys a visit."
[Lynn Sr. nodded and allowed his pregnant daughter and her boyfriend into the house. Once inside, all of Lori's siblings came out of the dining room and ran up to her...with the exception of Leni, who was nowhere to be seen. Lori was a little concerned.]
Lori: "Does anyone know where Leni is?"
Lucy: "We're not entirely sure. But it seems that Lincoln and Ronnie Anne know something that we don't...right?"
[Lucy and her sisters turned their gazes towards Lincoln and Ronnie Anne. The two 12-year-olds knew they had to come clean about it.]
Lincoln: "Okay... The last time we saw her, if I remember correctly, she was in the carriage with Chaz."
Lori: "Wait, what?"
Ronnie Anne: "He just said Leni and Chaz were in the carriage when we left. But, what happened after that, I don't really know."
[Ronnie Anne leaned towards Lynn and whispered in her ear.]
Ronnie Anne: "Not that I even WANT to know since cheesy romance ain't exactly my strong suit."
Lynn: "That goes double points for me."
[With that, Lynn and Ronnie Anne bumped each other's fists. Bobby and Lori both looked at one another before the pregnant blonde squealed in delight.]
Lori: "Leni! She must've spent the night with Chaz!"
Bobby: "Heh! I kinda figured he'd go through with it! Score one for Chaz!"
[Lincoln, Lynn, and Ronnie Anne simply groaned in disgust.]
Lynn: "Okay, that does it! I'm gonna go wait outside."
[With that, Lynn was out the front door in two seconds flat.]
Ronnie Anne: "Right behind you, L.J.!"
[Ronnie Anne followed Lynn outside before shutting the door.]
Lynn Sr.: "Well, I hope Leni comes back home soon. I dread to think what she might've been through."
Rita: "Oh, you worry too much, dear. I'm sure they were being careful. Besides, she's probably already on her way to school by now."
Lori: "I hope so. Speaking of school, do you guys mind if Bobby and I take everyone to school today? You both could use a day off from shuttling them."
[Lori's parents both looked at each other before her mother gave her response.]
Rita: "I don't see why not."
Lynn Sr.: "Sure thing, sweetie. Just be careful, okay?"
Lori: "Thanks, Mom and Dad."
Bobby: "Yeah! Gracias."
[With that, Bobby and Lori headed outside with most of the Loud siblings. Lynn Sr. then yelled out to his eldest daughter.]
Lynn Sr.: "And if you come across Leni, please bring her home!"
Lori: "Shouldn't be a problem."
[Lori told everyone to get into Vanzilla in a single file while she showed them which seats to take. The Loud kids also had their usual gear for the day. Luna had her guitar, Lynn had her sporting gear, Ronnie Anne had her skateboard, etc..]
[While this was going on, Bobby received a text on his cell phone. Curiously, he looked at the text to see that it was from Nate. It read:]
Bobby, please come back to the apartment. There's something very urgent that I need to tell you and Lori about.
[Bobby frowned before leaving a reply.]
Can't we do this later? Lori and I are taking her siblings to school today.
[Almost immediately afterward, the 18-year-old Latino got another text.]
No, Bobby. This is serious, and I mean VERY serious! You and Lori must come back home immediately. It's an emergency. Whatever plans you've got have to be put on hold.
[Bobby cursed under his breath in Spanish before walking over to his girlfriend who had just gotten into the driver's seat of her old family van.]
Bobby: "Babe?"
[Lori looked at her boyfriend who took a deep breath.]
Bobby: "I don't think I can come with you right now. I just got a text from Nate telling us to meet him at the apartment. He said it was an emergency. I'm sorry."
[Bobby then showed Lori the texts on his phone. The eldest Loud sibling sighed in disappointment, knowing that Bobby was going to miss out on the chance to know his future.]
Lori: "Damn it."
[Bobby leaned his arms on the van's window before taking Lori's hand. The woman looked over at her boyfriend as he continued to speak.]
Bobby: "I know you're disappointed with me right now, but, I'll meet up with you at Lucy's school during recess...if I can make it by then. And if I don't, I'll take you wherever you want to go when I get back. I swear."
[Lori rolled her eyes and blushed. Bobby sounded sincere in his words.]
Lori: "Promise me that you won't take too long, okay?"
Bobby: "Don't worry about me, babe. I'll be fine. Just make sure to tell Lucy what we've seen in our dreams and what Rivers predicted last night. And if I don't make it in time, just tell me everything she sees...okay?"
[Lori nodded.]
Lori: "I will. Just meet me back here when you're done. I should be dropping everyone home at around 4:00 or so. And please text me if anything goes wrong."
Bobby: "I will, babe. Love you."
[Bobby gave his girlfriend a kiss on her forehead before getting into Cathy and driving back to Carlisle Park.]
Lori: "I am literally missing him already."
[Lori started Vanzilla's engine and drove off to her siblings' selective schools.]
[Back in the house, Rita went upstairs with Lily while her husband sat on the couch to watch The Dream Boat while sipping on a cup of juice. As soon as he turned on the set, however, a news report came on with Katherine Mulligan standing in front of a crime scene near a river as a body bag was being loaded onto a coroner's van.]
Katherine: "And now, some new development in the hunt for the St. Valentine's Day Breakout fugitives. The first convict, Lamont Miles was recently found dead in a river shortly after escaping from the bus that crashed en route to death row. Further examination of the body reveals that Miles was found with a fatal stab wound in his chest, making it unclear if this was suicide or an act of murder. However, the police are still on the hunt for the second inmate from the crash, as well as one of the instigators in the November Fernville Shootout, Alex Santiago."
[Lynn Sr. was sipping on his juice and spit it out when he heard the part about Alex escaping.]
Lynn Sr.: "Say what now?!"
Katherine: "According to an anonymous phone call, Santiago was last seen hitching a ride on a motorcycle owned by what appeared to be a member of the Brotherhood of Exemption Motorcycle Club from Downtown Detroit. The caller also reported that Miles joined Alex in his escape and the two convicts apparently went their separate ways after hiding out in the woods outside of Detroit. Alex Santiago remains at large and is believed to be hiding somewhere in the Oakland County area. If you spot this man in your area, don't hesitate to call 911, for he is considered to be armed and dangerous. We'll keep you posted on these events when we have more information on the matter. Until then, this is Katherine Mulligan, Channel 3 News."
[Lynn Sr. remained where he was in shock while the glass slipped from his fingers and fell to the carpet with a thud, juice spilling out and staining the carpet. The very fact that Alex was on the loose sent chills down his spine. Not helping was the fact that the rest of his children were out in the open.]
Lynn Sr.: Oh no! Nonononono! This cannot be happening right now!
[Lynn Sr. snapped out of his thoughts when he heard footsteps coming down the stairs. Using the remote, the patriarch of the Louds quickly paused the program and turned off the TV just as his wife came into the room. Of course, Rita could tell that something was wrong as evidenced by the look of dread on her husband's sweating face.]
Rita: "Honey, is something wrong? You're looking kind of pale."
[Lynn Sr. knew he couldn't keep this a secret for long. So, he took a deep breath, stood before his wife, and looked her in the eyes as he put his hands on her shoulders.]
Lynn Sr.: "Rita... Don't panic, but...there's something you need to know."
[Of course, this doesn't seem to do much help as he was still shaking like a leaf.]
Rita: "Lynn? What's going on? You're starting to scare me."
[Lynn Sr. said nothing as he turned the TV back on, rewound the news report, and played the whole thing for Rita. When she saw and heard every detail, she covered her mouth in shock and fear as the very thought of Alex on the loose was something she never wanted to hear in her life.]
Rita: "Oh...my...God..."
Lynn Sr.: "What do we do, honey?"
Rita: "Just call Lori and Bobby! Send them some texts or something! We need to get the kids back here before they're in harm's way!"
Lynn Sr.: "Right, right! I knew that."
[After slapping himself on the noggin a few times, Lynn Sr. took out his cell phone and started to send a text message to Bobby. Then he proceeded to send a second message to Lori in the hopes that she would answer it.]
Meanwhile...
[Lori was just about halfway to Royal Woods High School to drop off Luna, Luan, and Lynn. During the drive, Lori couldn't stop talking about the locket that she wore around her neck and how thoughtful Bobby was. Of course, she was able to focus on the road while doing so.]
Lola: "Not gonna lie, that is a pretty locket. How much is it worth?"
[Lola grinned as she said that last bit.]
Lynn: "If you love Bobby so much, why don't you marry him?"
[Lori simply gave her athletic sister a brief smirk through the mirror.]
Lori: "That would literally be up to Bobby, not me."
[All Lynn could do was roll her eyes.]
[Just then, Lori's phone started ringing. She wanted to answer, but she didn't want to take her eyes off the road, especially not while she was still pregnant. So, she ignored the call, hoping to answer it later on. Shortly after the phone stopped ringing, it then vibrated, indicating a text.]
Lori: "So, Ronnie Anne, how are you today?"
Ronnie Anne: "I'm doing okay...sort of."
Lori: "What do you mean sort of?"
Ronnie Anne: "Well, I'm not really sure, but I've been having these nightmares recently."
Lori: "Really? What about?"
Ronnie Anne: "I'd rather not say right now."
[Upon hearing that, Lori was reminded of what she needed to say to Lucy.]
Lori: "Lucy? You think you can help me with something later this afternoon?"
Lucy: "Maybe during recess. So what is it, Lori?"
Lori: "Okay... Bobby and I need some...second opinions about our something. Last night, we went to a fortune teller and she gave us some troubling visions about our future."
Lincoln: "What do you mean? What happens in the future?"
Lisa: "Probably just an illusion, as logic would denote."
Lori: "Well, I thought so at first, but... I don't know. Last night, we had a nightmare about...something, and you were all in it."
Luan: "Did something happen to you and Bobby?"
Lucy: "What exactly did you see, Lori? We are gravely curious."
[Lori did her best to speak as she kept her eyes focused on the road. Vanzilla was very old, so it had no cruise control mode. In any case, she started to tell Lucy everything she heard from Rivers to last night's dream.]
Lori: "So, to put it simply, from what Rivers told us, and from that nightmare we had... I'm afraid that we're literally going to be in danger...and Alex might come back to get us all..."
[When everyone heard that last bit, most of them started to worry for themselves. But a few of them denied what was going on while the rest were undecided.]
Lisa: "And you and Roberto believed in all that hogwash?"
Luna: "Little Lisa's got a point, sis. I mean, whatever predictions Rivers pulled out of her bum, all of it's just wack."
Luan: "Yeah! And for a fortune teller, she really isn't all that opti-mystic."
[Luan laughed whilst everyone else groaned.]
Luan: "Get it?"
Lynn: "Well, corny puns aside, Principal Oliver has been making some improvements ever since Rivers got the boot."
Ronnie Anne: "I'm with Lynn on this one. I'm not sure what that fortune teller or principal or whoever she was saw in that fake ball of hers, but she was clearly being delirious."
Lola: "But, what if she's right? What if Alex does get out? And what if he comes after all of us?"
Ronnie Anne: "Ok, now you're just being paranoid, Lola. I already told you, Alex is right behind bars with no way to get out. Lincoln and I just want to have a decent day at school without any mention of that guy. And before you get any ideas: No! It will NOT be a date!"
Lana: "But what if your dad is out there? Hiding in the bushes? Planning something big? Just waiting for the right moment, and then BOOM!"
[Ronnie Anne winced when Lana said that last word out loud.]
Lana: "He strikes us all in one spot?"
Lucy: "Both of your predictions sound rather interesting, but I'm not quite sure yet."
Lisa: "I already told you what I think about those predictions and I have already debunked them. So, if Rivers couldn't predict Alejandro's return, neither can you, Lucy."
[And with that, the younger sisters started arguing, much to Ronnie Anne's annoyance. Finally, she snapped.]
Ronnie Anne: "Will all of you just... SHUT UP?!"
[Everyone silenced before turning their attention towards the seething Ronnie Anne while Lori kept her eyes focused on the road ahead.]
Ronnie Anne: "I don't want to hear another word about Alex Santiago, okay?! He is done! Finished! Finito! He deserves to rot for all that he has done to us!"
[Ronnie Anne grabbed her head and took deep breaths, much to the concern of her honorary siblings, especially Lincoln.]
Lincoln: "Uh... Are you feeling okay, Ronnie Anne?"
Lynn: "Do you need to go see Clydesdale's therapist?"
Luna: "Yeah, even I can tell when something's eating you, R.A.."
Ronnie Anne: "I'm sorry, okay? Just... Sorry..."
[After a few seconds of silence, a concerned Lori spoke up.]
Lori: "Ronnie Anne, are you sure-"
Ronnie Anne: "It's nothing, Lori. Let's just drop it."
[And Lori did just that. Not only was she still fearing for her own future, but she was also concerned about her boyfriend's sister as well after seeing her lose her cool like that. Whatever it was that set her off didn't sound like nothing.]
[Finally, Lori had arrived at Royal Woods High. Once Lori pulled up to the front, Luna, Luan, and Lynn got out of the van with their supplies and made their way to the building. Lori then waved goodbye to the three teens before driving away.]
Lori: "Bye, guys! I'll be back at around 2:30!"
[Once the three teens made their way into the school, they found Leni standing by her locker feeling cheerful as a hummingbird.]
Leni: "Hiya, girls! Isn't this, like, a lovely day at school today?"
[Leni held the books to her chest and smiled as she did a little twirl. The other teen Louds looked at one another, not knowing what to say until Luna broke the silence.]
Luna: "Leni... What exactly did you and Chaz do after the prom last night?"
Leni: "O-M-Gosh, did I have, like, a wonderful night with Chazzy Bear! We went to his house to watch a movie, right? And then we both started getting tired in the middle of the film so he took me to bed. And when we laid there, he was like a big, handsome, and cuddly teddy bear."
[Leni let out a romantic sigh. Lynn put her hand over her face and groaned before mumbling to herself.]
Lynn: "Oh, God. Here we go with the boyfriend bear names again."
Luna: "Please tell me you used protection, Lens. We're not ready for another one."
Luan: "That's right! We don't want a repeat of the last SEX-capade."
[Luan laughed whilst Luna and Lynn groaned.]
Luan: "Get it? But seriously, did you use protection or not?"
[Leni scoffed.]
Leni: "Of course we did! Like, what do you think I am?"
Luna: "I hope you didn't take this as wearing a helmet?"
Leni: "No, but it did involve something rubbery on his-"
[Lynn then interrupted by imitating a buzzer and signaled her hands like an umpire.]
Lynn: "Time out!"
Leni: "Why? What did I do for time out?"
Lynn: "I mean stop. None of us need to hear any more details. We already get enough of that from Lori and Bobby."
Leni: "Okay! Jeez... If you didn't want to hear it, you could've just said so."
Luna: "I mean, don't get any of us wrong. It's nice that you and the Chaz-man are finally getting serious here, but maybe it's best that we get through this day without the need to lose our appetites. So, please don't tell us any more about how you lost your V-Card... Please?"
Luan: "Yeah! We don't have to hear about last night's mis-sex-venture!"
[Luan laughed while Luna and Lynn groaned.]
Luan: "Get it?"
Lynn: "Luan, has it ever occurred to you that no one gives a-"
[Lynn's rant was interrupted as the first bell rang, prompting the teen Louds to head for their first class of the day. Just as they approached the first classroom, Leni saw Chaz at his locker. The stout teen noticed Leni and gave her a wave as the dumb blonde blushed and waved back at him.]
Luna: "Come on, Lens!"
[With that, Leni snapped back to reality and like a ballerina, she tip-toed into the classroom.]
Meanwhile, outside of Carlisle Park Apartments...
[Bobby was almost at his apartment when he heard his cell phone ringing on the charging station. He wanted to answer, but given the fact that he was driving, he could not risk a crash. So he had no choice but to ignore it and keep going.]
Bobby: I'll call back when I get home.
[As he kept driving, he was still worried that Lori might not forgive him for letting her know her fortune alone. Nate never really told Bobby what was going on, but if he said that it was an emergency, he just had to know what was going on.]
[Finally, Bobby saw Carlisle Park Apartments in the distance. After pulling into his parking spot, Bobby took his fully charged phone and got out of the SUV before walking towards the front door. As he got there, he came across a sexy, yet tough-looking woman dressed in biker's get-up who was just leaning her back against the wall by the door and smoking a cigarette. The woman saw Bobby and spoke to him in a seductive American accent.]
Woman: "Well, hello there, handsome. You looking for a good time?"
[The woman then reached over at Bobby and pinched his cheek. The Latino took a few steps back and rubbed his cheek as he stared at the woman in defense.]
Bobby: "Sorry, ma'am...but I already have someone. She's also carrying my child, by the way."
Woman: "A young father-in-waiting, I see?"
[The woman blew another puff of smoke at Bobby before she continued. Bobby coughed and waved his hand to fan away the smoke.]
Woman: "You know, I sometimes wish my ex thought the same way that you do."
Bobby: "Well, I feel sorry for you. Now if you don't mind, I would like to get back to my place."
[And with that, Bobby grabbed the knob and opened the door before walking into the building. The woman watched him go before speaking softly.]
Woman: "Not as sorry as you're going to be...adiot."
[The woman smirked as she said that last word with a Russian accent. She then reached into her pocket and pulled out a cell phone before placing it to her ear.]
[As soon as Bobby reached the second floor, he approached the entrance to Apartment B3. But as he got there, he noticed that the door was slightly ajar while the striker plate was broken off.]
Bobby: "What the hell?"
[Out of morbid curiosity, Bobby slowly pushed the door open and walked inside. His eyes widened with shock when he found the living room a complete mess like it was vandalized and ransacked. Almost everything that Bobby and Lori owned was broken and destroyed. His guitar was broken in half, there was graffiti on the walls that read "Up with El Jefe, Down with the Louds", "Roberto = Deadbeat prick", "Long Live, El Jefe", "Lori Loud = Man-skankin' whore", or "El Jefe for Presidente", others reading "El Jefe for President" most of the wallpaper was ripped up or stained, pictures were broken, the TV screen was smashed, the whole place looked like a crackhouse.]
Bobby: Ay Dios Mio! Was there a break-in?!
[Before Bobby could process this any further, the door to the nursery slowly opened and two tough-looking and masked biker guys walked out of the room. One was of medium build and wore a baby face mask as he held a sawed-off shotgun in his hands. The other one had an ogre mask and a stout appearance as he held a crowbar in his hands, which he presumably used to break the front door open. The fat biker then spoke to Bobby in a redneck accent.]
Biker 1: "Surprise, surprise, birthday boy."
[Bobby took a few steps back as he stared at the intruders.]
Bobby: "Who are you guys? And what the hell were you doing in that room?!"
Biker 2: "That's none of your goddamn business, baby daddy."
Biker 1: "But El Jefe would be happy to know that you're here. He's been expectin' ya to waltz right in."
[Bobby reached into his pocket and pulled out his phone before attempting to call the police. It was then that Bobby saw a text message from Lynn Sr. and began to read to himself while the two masked men watched the whole thing as if they were biding their time.]
[The text said:]
Bobby, you and Lori are in great danger! Your father is on the loose and there's no telling where he is right now! You both need to get everyone back to our house before he finds you and quick!
[Bobby's eyes widened with fear as he saw the message, so much so that his legs turned to jelly. But before the Latino could call 9-1-1, he heard the front door slam behind him and quickly turned around, only to be immediately pinned to the floor before a big hand covered his mouth. When Bobby got knocked down, his phone slid across the floor and stopped in front of the ogre biker. The biker with the baby face ran over to the door and blocked it so nobody would try to come in or see what was going on. As Bobby struggled to get loose, he heard a familiar gravelly voice whisper into his ear.]
"Hola, mijo."
[Bobby's eyes widened when he heard that voice. He managed to look at the man's face only to see him wearing a red luchador mask to hide his appearance. Of course, it wasn't very hard for Bobby to guess this man's identity by the sound of his voice. The man slowly moved his hand off of Bobby's face, giving the young adult the chance to speak again.]
Bobby: "No...it can't be..."
[The man then leaned forward and whispered into his son's ear.]
Alex: "Oh, but it is, Junior... Papi's home... Now, why don't you be a good boy for once and tell me where she issssssss?"
[Bobby breathed heavily when he heard his father's menacing voice putting the emphasis on that last word hissing like a snake.]
Bobby: "What?"
[Alex grabbed his son by the collar of his shirt and banged his head against the floor before staring directly into his eyes.]
Alex: "Don't play dumbass with me again, you little fuck! That fuckin' temptress you call a girlfriend isn't here with you! NOW WHERE THE FUCK IS SHE?! TELL ME, OR I WILL FUCKING END YOUR PATHETIC LIFE RIGHT FUCKIN' THERE AND FUCKIN' NOW!"
[Bobby's expression turned to anger as he looked at the luchador man.]
Bobby: "Like I'm telling you shit! Yellowjacket! Yellowjacket!"
[As soon as Bobby yelled out those last two words, Jill rushed into the room armed with laser weapons. Yellowjacket was a code phrase to send Jill into protective mode in case things got too out of hand.]
Jill: INTRUDER ALERT! INTRUDER ALERT! YOU HAVE TEN SECONDS TO COMPLY!
[The two bikers turned and saw Jill counting down the seconds.]
Biker 2: "What the hell is this thing?"
Biker 1: "Look like one of them cartoon Robot Maids."
Biker 2: "I know what it is, dumbass! I thought you disabled it!"
Jill: TIMES UP!
[Jill fired one of her stun beams at both of the bikers. The first biker managed to get out of the way in time, but one of the beams hit the second biker's hand, causing him to drop his shotgun next to Alex. The baby-faced biker screamed and fell backward to the floor as he held his stunned hand.]
[Alex immediately picked up the shotgun in his free hand. Without hesitation, he fired two shells at the robot's chest, frying its circuits beyond repair.]
Bobby: "JILL!"
[The redneck biker got up and ran over to his comrade.]
Biker: "You okay there, Darrell?!"
Darrell: "No, I'm not fuckin' okay, Bearl! That robo-fuck zapped my hand!"
Bearl: "El Jefe, catch!"
[Bearl took another shotgun shell from Darrell before throwing it at Alex. The former motorcycle salesman caught the shell before loading it into the gun. And as the robot housekeeper drew her last beeps, she made one last command as she struggled to maintain her power.]
Jill: Must...send out...distress signal...to Mother... Warning...Familyyy...iiiiin...grrrrrreat...daaaaaaaaan...geeeeeeeer...
[Showing no mercy, Alex fired the last shell into Jill's head, knocking her back to the floor. And with that, all power faded as the light in the robot's computer went out.]
Bobby: "NO!"
Alex: "Goddamn piece of fuckin' scrap!"
[Bobby's ears were ringing from those gunshots, he continued to stare at Jill's deactivated body in shock. The deactivated robot was the last thing Bobby saw before he felt a hard punch to the face, knocking him out. And once everything went to black, all that Bobby heard before silence kicked in was his father's distorted, echoing, warping voice saying:]
Alex: "One down, over a dozen more to go."
Well, it looks like things aren't looking good so for Bobby right now. And God only knows what plans Alex has in store for the Loud Family.
Also, a little explanation: I know that in the canon timeline, Royal Woods is located somewhere south of Saginaw Bay, but in this headcanon, it's located near Detroit like its real-life counterpart. I mean, lets be honest, the timeline of the show is very inconsistent, but not this one.
So anyway, there's going to be at least one more side chapter coming up soon. It's going to explain how Alex got out of his cage. So until then, stay tuned.
Geo Soul: Indeed.
Gamelover41592: Thank you.
Mike The Red Engine: Hold on to your hat (if you have one), because things are about to get interesting from here.
Master Fan Reader: We'll see. Also, Alex seems to be pretty tough for his age.
DarthWill3: We'll just see. Also, not a spoiler, just a little reminder.
MoreABoutThomas: We'll see.
Tristen: No promises.
wollyworld: Wait and see.
Jacksonangelo105: Thank you.
Ellis97: Sure looks like it.
mollyflower299: Maybe they'll tell them in the future, but only when the time is right.
joelcampos1: Clyde has already appeared in the story. As for Sid, the chances of her appearing in the story are highly unlikely since the Casagrandes don't apply here.
