Chapter 4: An Inspector meets a Tyrant
Carmelita wakes up. Her leg still hurts. She looks around and sees that she is in what looks like a huge cell in the main room of a giant, darkly lit lair. Her cell is surrounded by several giant robots like the one that kidnapped her. Most prominently, A Gray one with a cannon on his arm and what looked like a type of bucket on his head. Despite this, he looked very menacing.
Carm: Que Carajo!?
The menacing bot notices his prisoner is awake and approaches her cell.
Carm: (backs away) What are you?! Who are you!? What do you want with me!?
Megatron: It seems our guest has awakened. Allow me to introduce myself. I am Megatron, Leader of the Decepticons.
Carm: Decepticons?
Megatron: My minion, Barricade was supposed to catch the raccoon, but being the idiot he is, he took you instead. I gave him quite the discipline.
Carm: Alright, you took me by mistake, now let me go! And what do you want with Sly Cooper?
Megatron: Us Decepticons are currently looking for things called Allspark fragments, which give things life. We know Cooper has information. We have researched him. Studied him. And from what we can tell, you two chase each other and then on rare occasions get a room to do "Organic mating", though it is odd you've done it so much, yet have never spawned organic young. At least that's how I thought it went.
Carm: (enraged) SHUT THE HELL UP! I CHASE HIM BECAUSE HE IS A CRIMINAL! THERE IS NO LOVE BETWEEN US AT ALL!
Megatron kneels down and sees eye to eye with Carmelita menacingly. This makes her a bit scared inside.
Megatron: Impressive that you have the nerve to speak to an absolute tyrant like me.
Carm: Wh- why are you keeping me here?
Megatron: Two reasons. One, it lures the Cooper boy to us if we can find him. Two, you work for the organization known as Interpol am I right?
Carm: Y…yes.
Megatron: We know that they know the location of a certain something that we also desire.
Carm:... And that is?
Megatron: The broken up pieces of the ancient mechanical thief known as "Clockwerk".
Carm: What do you want with them?
Aggravated by all the questioning, Megatron opens the door to Carmelita's cell, aims his fusion arm cannon at her, starting to charge it up as if he's ready to shoot her.
Megatron: (Yelling) HOW ABOUT YOU ANSWER A QUESTION FOR ONCE OR BE DECIMATED?! WHERE ARE THE PIECES TO CLOCKWERK!?
Terrified for her life, the Interpol officer blurts out the right answer.
Carm: UTAH! THE PIECES ARE IN A MILITARY BASE LOCATED IN UTAH!
Megatron powers down and lowers his arm cannon and locks Carmelita's cell door. He turns his back on her and starts walking out of the room.
Carm: The Military will probably stop your men!
Megatron: Oh Fox. You are unaware. A portion of their vehicles are my minions in disguise. In a way, we are the Military. (laughs) Soundwave! Look up all the data you can for the Utah bases and…. keep an eye on Ms. Fox over there.
Soundwave: As you command, Lord Megatron.
Megatron walks out of the room before the emotionless looking Soundwave gives Carmelita a blank, but cold stare and then walks over to a computer system to look up the base info. Carm knows they took her shock pistol, but realizes her phone is still in her pocket and with surprisingly good service for an unknown place. Seeing Soundwave distracted, she attempts to call her force, quietly, but as much as they could possibly hear.
Carm: Hello! Hello! Hola! This Inspector Carmelita Montoya Fox! I know this sounds crazy and insane….. But I have been kidnapped by these… giant robots….. And I know that you know I'm not crazy! Officers and other people were clearly there when I was taken by the Police Car bot. Other people saw it, It has at least HAD to have been on the news by now! The local Force attempted to chase him, but to no avail.
She hears slow but quiet footsteps coming from behind her. They start to get louder.
Carm: (Speaking a bit louder) I DON'T KNOW WHERE I AM! I DON'T WHO THESE ROBOTS ARE! THEIR LEADER CALLS HIMSELF MEGATRON! THEY SPEAK ENGLISH, BUT I SUSPECT THEY WERE BUILT FROM SOMEWHERE LIKE RUSSIA OR NORTH KOREA! THEY PLAN TO ATTACK A UTAH MILITARY BASE! GET WORD TO THEM ABOUT IT IMMEDIATELY AND DO WHATEVER YOU CAN TO FIND AND SAVE ME!
She hears her cell door open and turns around to see Soundwave giving her yet another cold stare with his prominent red eyes…. Then…
Soundwave: Rumble, eject.
He pushes a button on his shoulder. His chest opens and out pops what looks like a big blue-purplish rectangle, which then transforms into a smaller robot seemingly the same size and height as Carmelita.
Rumble: Hey babe! You a Beauty? Because I'm quite the Beast if I do say so myself.
Carm: (Backing away) Get away from me tu pervertido de metal!
Rumble attempts to get Carmelita's phone, but she holds it back from him. The two start to wrestle. Eventually, Rumble gets ahold of the phone and crushes it with his hand.
Carm: No!
Rumble: Would love to stay and mess more with you cutie, but I have plans.
He is obviously lying.
Soundwave: Excellent, Rumble.
Rumble gets out of the cell. Soundwave again closes and locks the door and goes back to the computer. Throughout the night, Carmelita observes the different Decepticons walking through the room, then she falls asleep on the hard floor, wondering and dreaming if she'll ever be saved, specifically and possibly by a certain ringtail thief who stole her heart despite their differences in dealing with justice.
