Confused he continues to hold up his hands while asking, "huh?"

Before she can reply, he hears footsteps running towards them while a guy shouts, "Tohka?! Stop running!"

She looks back while shouting with glee, "Shido!!! I caught the person that was watching us!!!"

The boy responds, "wait? Someone was watching? Hang on I'll be right there!"

Realizing that he will soon be outnumbered and was most likely going to be in trouble, he uses her being turned away from him as an opportunity, he rolls to his side away from the sword then gets to his feet and frantically runs in the opposite direction as fast as humanly possible. He hears the girl shouting, "Hey! He's getting away!!!"

Burchard then hears the sound of trees crashing to the ground while the girl screams, "GET BACK HERE!!!"

Without looking at his pursuer he screams back, "ARE YOU CRAZY!?!? YOU'LL KILL ME IF I DO!!!"

He dips, dives and dodges the assortment of trees and vegetation in his path while from the sound of it his pursuer is simply bulldozing through everything in their path. Ahead he sees glimpses of light seeping through the trees and thinking it was his salvation, he sprints with all his might until finally breaking through the trees…. And comes to the sudden realization that the ground dips substantially at the tree line. He also comes to the sudden realization that with his current moment he was now airborne but also that the ground was coming at him with increasing speed.

THUD!!!

Burchard lays face down in the sand while muttering to himself in a muffled voice, "that hurt."

With what little energy he had left, he rolls onto his back and gasps for air while thinking out loud, "well at least I lost…."

His thought was interrupted by the sight of the same girl from before, sword and all, leaping out of the forest and into the air above him with sword held height while screaming, "HAHA!!! YOU CANT GET AWAY FROM ME!!!!"

Unable to move he frantically raises his arms to protect himself while squealing with his eyes closed, "DON'T HURT ME!!!"

"TOHKA STOP!!!!"

Burchard lies there frozen in place and waiting for his end to come… but after a few moments realizes that nothings happening. He slowly opens his eyes and sees the same sword from before a mere inch from his nose with the owner of said sword standing over top of him while sporting an annoyed expression. She looks back at the forest and in an a strangely disappointed tone whines, "Shido! Why do I have to stop?"

Burchard looks past her and sees a boy with short blue hair and brown eyes wearing shorts and a tee shirt with his hands on his knees, out of breath and standing in front of a conveniently carved out path in the forest. He stands up right while still trying to catch his breath but is able to blurt out, "because you can't just kill him!!!"

Burchard looks at this boy as if he where a heavenly angel sent forth to save him in his time of need as the girl says back with a confused tone, "I wasn't going to kill him?"

Both Burchard and the boy look at her with equal amounts of confusion which causes the boy to ask, "then why are you using your sword?"

Without thinking Burchard also asks, "yeah! Why are you using a sword?"

While still pointing the sword in his face, she ignores Burchard and replies to they boy, "because it made getting through the woods so much easier!"

The boy looks back at the path she effortlessly cut while scratching his head then looks back and says, "you have a point."

Burchard looks at the boy and asks in a whimper, "uh? Can you tell her to put the sword away?"

Before the boy can say anything the girl says with haste, "but If I don't do this then he'll get away!"

Burchard thinks to himself, "I mean she technically has a point..… wait a minute."

Coming to a sudden realization, Burchard looks up at her and in an annoyed tone says, "wait a minute! Why are you doing this!?"

She glares back at him while snapping, " because you where watching me from the forest you pervert!!!"

The baseless accusation is enough of an insult to cause Burchard to forget that a sword was still pointed in his face because he snaps back at her, "watching you? Listen lady I've been lost in that damn forest the whole day and I was still lost when you started chasing after me so how the hell could I have been watching you!!!"

She continues to point her sword at him but he is able to see the look of conflict across her face though it didn't so much look like she was unsure if she would believe him but more like she was desperately trying to find any proof to prove him wrong. While this was happening the boy walked down the embankment and over to them while Burchard asks him, "hey. Can you tell your girlfriend to put the sword away?"

The boy scratches his head trying to think of what to say but Burchard becomes distracted by the sight of the sword still in his face shaking uncontrollably close to his nose. He looks up and is surprised to see the girl still looking back at him but now sports a bright red almost shining complexion. Now surprisingly concerned he asks, "you okay?"

She looks back at him with wide open eyes while mumbling, uh-uh girlfriend?"

He looks back at her with a raised eyebrow while thinking, "is she embarrassed?"

His thought is interrupted by the boy asking, "hey. If she lets you up. Promise you won't run away?"

Burchard thinks to himself, "like hell I won't!!!"

He looks over at the boy with an innocent smile while replying, "sure!"

The boy looks over at the girl while saying, "you hear that Tohka? You can let him up now."

She looks back at him with an unsure look while asking, "but Shido?"

Burchard looks up at the girl while extending a hand up to her with a pinky extended and saying, "I pinky swear I won't?"

She looks down at his pinky finger while a drop of sweat runs down his brow but to Burchard's surprise she pulls back her sword while gleefully taking his pinky with hers and says with glee, "okay!"

She steps back while the boy walks up to and extends a hand to Burchard. Seeing as he seems to be down to earth he gladly excepts the hand and is helped to his feet. While brushing off sand, Burchard starts casually walking away while saying, "well I got somewhere to be so see yah."

Caught off guard the boy says, "hang on. You promised you wouldn't leave?"

Unfazed Burchard continues walking while saying, "there was a sword in my face. What did you expect me to say?"

"But you pinky promised?"

This comment causes him to stop in his tracks, not so much because of the words itself but the disheartened whimper that went along with it. He slowly turns around and looks back only to see the girl standing there with the most depressed puppy dog look he had ever seen though seeing her red bow looking equally as depressed simply confused him. He attempts to turn away but still feels her depressed eyes locked on him which causes a feeling of sadness to grow with in him until his shoulders finally drops in defeat while he sighs disheartedly then looks back while saying, "fine."

Hearing this causes her expression to do a complete 180 while she hops with glee while saying, "yay!!!"

He looks at her with confusion while trying to figure out if she just tricked him or if that was just her weird personality but as he is thinking about it the boy and girl walk over to him while the boy extends a hand to him while saying, "I'm Shido by the way."

Deciding that his current thought wasn't important, he reaches out and shakes his hand while responding, "nice to meet you Shido, you can call me Burchard."

Shido points over at the girl while saying, "and this is…."

He gets cut off by her saying with glee, "and I'm Tohka!"

No longer surprised by the girls unique personality he simply smiles while saying, "nice to meet you Tohka."

The sky above starts turning a dark grey and the wind starts to pick up but due to the already weird weather he has experienced today he doesn't think anything of it as Burchard asks, "so what are you guys doing out here?"

Shido chuckles with a bit of an embarrassed expression while replying, "well we were with our school group at a museum."

He points to Tohka while continuing, "that is until Tohka here thought someone was watching her and decided to chase after them, next thing we ended up here."

Surprised by the response, Burchard hones in one one specific detail while asking, "hotel? So there is actual civilization here."

Confused Shido asks , "what do you mean by…."

He suddenly remembers the explanation Burchard gave at sword point then asks, "you said you got lost in the woods right? did you get separated from your school group?"

Burchard looks at him with confusion while saying, "no. I basically woke up this morning washed up on a beach."

Surprised by the response, Shido responds, "where here on a school trip so I'm guessing you must be a tourist then."

Thinking about what he just said a thought comes to his mind while saying, "the last thing I remember was falling off a ferry so me being a tourist is possible."

Shido then asks, "if you just washed up here I'm guessing you don't have anywhere to go?"

Burchard shakes his head then responds, "no. I mean I was walking in the direction of an airplane when I met you guys but I wasn't even sure if there was an airport here."

Shido nods his head with a smile while saying, "fortunately enough there is."

Tohka, who was quietly listening to the conversation has an idea causing her to say with glee, "I know!!! Why don't we bring him back with us!"

Shido nods his head while responding, "that's what I was thinking."

He look back at Burchard while asking, "that good with you."

Burchard thinks for a moment while holding his chin then replies, "I mean that does sound a lot better then walking aimlessly through the woods."

Hearing this causes Tohka lighten right up while her red bow somehow jumps with joy! Though at this point Burchard just chalks it up to being apart of her very strange but bubbly personality. Though what she says next does catch him off guard She says while grabbing Shido's arm, "that means you get to make a friend that isn't a girl for once! That means I won't have as much competition!"

Burchard look at him with a raised eyebrow while shido looks back at him with a guilty smile and says to Tohka, "uh it just sounds bad when you says it like that. He's going to get the wrong opinion."

While he says this, Burchard thinks to himself, "why do I smell a harem situation now radiating off this guy?"

Though while he thinks this Tohka looks back at with confusion while asking, "what do you mean?"

He replies, "well he'll think I have multiple girls I'm trying to get with?"

Not exactly sure what he meant by 'get with', she responds, "buts it's true. You have me, Yoshino, that annoying girl origami and even your little sister!"

Hearing this causes Burchard to look at a now mortified Shido with a mix of judgement and suspicion while thinking, "definitely a harem situation. An at least partly incestuous harem situation."

Seeing his reputation practically disintegrating in front of him shido blurts out with his hand raised in a panic, "wait! It's not what it sounds like! She's my step sister!"

This explanation doesn't exactly help his case as Burchard look at him with a raised eyebrow while saying, "wait? That actually happens? I thought it was just a porn thing like how plumbers actually show up on time."

His eyebrow drops as he starts stare at him suspiciously while continuing, "and that doesn't help your case?"

Seeing Shido starting to panic, Tohka decides to step him and save him saying, "it's not a bad thing! He's saving us!"

Confused by the statement, Burchard asks, "huh? What do you mean by save?"

Not thinking anything of it she replies, "well he's the only one that can…."

She gets cut off by shido frantically covering her mouth while haphazardly blurting out, "she means I'm the only one that has enough love for all of them!"

He then whispers in a confused Tohka's ear so Burchard can't hear them.

Nodding to what he said, shido looks back at Burchard while thinking, "I hope he buys that excuse."

Meanwhile Burchard thinks, "man this guy has an ego. Thinking he is special enough to date that many women?"

Seeing as they were his only ticket back to civilization Burchard decides to ignore this fact while saying, "yeah sure. Sounds responsible."

Shido sighs in relief but it is cut short by the worsening weather as they all notice the winds starting to pick up causing shido to say, "looks like a storms coming , we should get back to the hotel!"

Nodding in agreement, Burchard follows the pair along the beach but no matter how fast they move, the wind moves faster to the point that loose pieces of the forest starts being thrown around.

They finally make it to a path with shido in front followed by Tohka and Burchard. Shido looks back to make sure everyone was still there while shouting, "where almost there! Just a little…"

He gets cut off by the sound of metal hitting the ground in front of them but when he looks back he's shocked to see a metal trash bin bouncing across the path directly at them. He instinctively hits the deck while screaming, "GET DOWN!!!"

Not being able to see past Tohka but still hearing him causes Burchard to dive for cover while Tohka, who's hair was being blown in her face asks, "what?"

WHAM!!!

Hearing what sounded like a drum symbol causes Burchard to look up only to see Tohka standing there motionlessly…. With a trash can planted firmly against her face. He gets to his knees while asking, "uh Tohka? You okay?"

There's no response, "instead the trash can slowly peels off her face and falls to the ground alerting Shido to the situation while she starts to teeter back and forth until finally falling backwards like a rag doll while Burchard instinctively steps forward and reaches out with shouting, "I got yah."

She falls into his arms and after a brief struggle he is able to pick her up like a princess while a concerned shido asks, "what happened?"

Burchard looks down at an unconscious Tohka while replying, "she took that trash can to the face! She's out cold."

He looks up and sees a panicking shido which causes him to say, "I got her! You need to lead us out of here!"

Snapping back to reality, shido nods his head and wears a look of determination while responding, "right!"

He proceeds to lead the way but as they continue running, Burchard sees something in the corner of his eye which causes him to look over and sees two objects moving around through the twirling clouds with great speed. Becoming worried he looks back at Shido and shouts , "what the hell is in the sky?"

Hearing his question, "shido looks over but for some reason whatever he sees causes him to slowly come to a halt. Burchard comes to a stop next to him and looks at the back of his head with confusion while shouting, "why are we stopping ?"

Shido doesn't respond but instead continues to look at the object which appear to crash into each other causing the winds around them to grow in intensity each time they hit which intern causes the boys to brace themselves from the almost unbearable winds.

Getting to a knee and using his body to protect Tohka from the flying debris, Burchard continues looking at the two almost fighting objects which seem to use the winds to fight each other while shouting, "there's no way that's natural!"

Shido shouts back, "it's not!!!"

The objects get pushed a distance away from each other but stop in the air. After a pause they launch at each other with a greater speed then what either of them had seen before but as soon as they smash into each other, they both get sent flying…. Directly at the boys!

Seeing this causes Burchard to turn away to put himself between Tohka and whatever the hell was flying towards them while closing his eyes and screaming, "SHIT!!!"

CRASH!!!!

The wind slowly dies down while Burchard feels the gentle breeze lightly brush against his exposed neck which was a welcome feeling compared to getting hit by whatever the hell was flying at him. He feels someone grab his shoulder while shido asks, "you okay?

Slowly opening his eyes, Burchard is not exactly surprised by the sight of grey sky's overhead. He slowly gets to his feet with Tohka still in his arms then sees Shido standing next to him and asks, "what the he'll just happened?"

He looks back at him with an unsure expression, as if he knew what happened but didn't know how to tell him but is able to say, "uh… it's kinda hard to explain."

Confused by the statement, Burchard is about to ask what he meant when he hears an unfamiliar girls voice cackling in an over emphasized tone, "keh-keh-keh-keh-keh!"

Wondering why the wicked witch of the west decided to stop by, Burchard looks past shido only to see a girl with long tied back orange hair and mercury eyes walking towards them though the most striking thing about her is that her outfit seemed to be a random assortment of buckles along with a pair of purple short shorts but what somehow caught his eye above all else was what appeared to be a hand cuff on her right wrist. She walks up to they boys with a bold smiles causing a confused Burchard to ask, "uh? Hi?"

Her smile in response turns to a sneer which sends a chill down his spine but before he can respond, she shouts in an almost overly theatric tone, "congratulations on what you have accomplished on this day though I shouldn't expect anything less from my other half! I'm impressed that you could even score 25 wins, 25 losses and 49 draws! But you must be aware that I'll be seizing this day!"

Confused by what she was saying to him, he looks at her with his head tilted to the side while asking, "huh?"

Before he can get a response to his inquiry, he hears another voice, though this one more on the monotone side of things say, "objection: it is foolish of you to believe that anyone other than Yuzuru will be the victor."

Turning around, Burchard is greeted by another girl who mirrors the first in almost every way though this one trades in the short shorts for a bluish purple mini skirt and has the handcuff on her left hand though the most striking thing about her is that unlike the first girl who had an energetic smile, she instead sported an almost unnatural expressionless look along with half closed eyes. The first girl proceeds to walk by the boys as if not seeing them while saying, "ha! It seems you took a hit to the head in our last bought seeing as you have become quite delusional since you still do not accept me as the true Yamai!"

The second girl walks up to her while responding, "rebuttal: it is you who are delusional if you think that anyone other that Yuzuru will be Yamai."

Shocked by the response the first girl let's out a triumphant laugh while saying, "ha!!! No matter what you say, we both know that my all seeing eye has already foreseen my sturm Lanze piercing your heart!"

Unfazed the second girl responds, "argument: I do not recall a single time your all seeing eye was correct."

Annoyed by the reply, the first girl tries to think of an example when the second girl says, "continuation: and don't bring up the weather. That being the only example you ever use is cause for laughter."

The second girl lets out what appears to be a slightly different breath which causes Burchard to lean over and whisper to Shido, "was that supposed to be a laugh?"

Shido simply shrugs his shoulders in response along with an unsure look while the first girl looks back at the second girl while dropping her dramatic act and snapping, "shut up!!! I don't need you telling me what does and doesn't work and if you keep doing it I'll get really angry and use my sturm lanze to shut you up!!!"

While this argument slowly divulges into insults, Burchard notices shido touching her ear while asking, "raine?"

Confused Burchard asks, "who's raine?"

Realizing Burchard hears him, shido quickly looks back at him while saying, "uh no one important."

Before he can press further, the two girls jump awake from each other while summoning their respective weapons and take fighting stances while the first girl snaps, "that's it! You will taste the wrath of my sturm lance which no being in the universe has the ability to understand but me!"

Unfazed but with a chain at the ready the second girl responds, "rebuttal: you do not know what it is therefore you make excuses as to why no one else can understand it."

Irritated and with her dramatic act once more she blurts out, "shut up!!!"

The second girl asks, "inquiry: why must Yuzuru be quiet?"

Instead of replying the first girl simply shouts, "just shut up already!!!!"

The winds start to pick up around them as they prepare to give it there all in what will most likely be the most epic and climatic battle to ever be seen!!!!

"Uh excuse me? Can you please stop fighting?"

The winds die down as they both look and see the two boys standing there along with a girl in one of their arms. Shido doesn't seem to notice this new development due to being preoccupied with whoever he was trying to secretly talk to through what Burchard assumes is an ear piece.

For some reason their surprised to see them standing there which causes the first girl to ask, "huh? How did you gain access to our sacred arena?"

Before he can respond the second girl adds, "admiration: no living thing should have survived our duel."

Burchard then is able to reply, "uh. We were just walking by. Nothing to praise worthy about it?"

Noticing what was happening, shido looks back at Burchard with a shocked look in his eyes while asking, "what are you doing?"

Confused Burchard replies, "what? They looked like they were going to start fighting again so asked them to stop?"

Before shido could respond, the first girl snaps, "and who told you it was okay to stop our sacred duel?!"

They both look back and some how experience simultaneous shivers run down their spines from the glares that the two girls were giving them. The first girl points her bow at them while declaring, "foolish boys! As punishment for your horrendous crimes I shall strike you down with my Shaman lanze!!!"

The second girl looks at her while saying, "inquiry: your using a different name from before?"

Annoyed along with embarrassed the first girl snaps back, "nu-no I didn't!"

She puffs her chest out while declaring triumphantly, "it has always been called Shaman lanze!!!"

Burchard for some reason feels the need to chime in, "no no. She's right, you were calling it sturm lanze."

Hearing this causes shido to snap at him, "what are you doing? Your going to get all of us killed!"

Before Burchard can respond, the second girl chimes in, "agreement: see, even he agrees with Yuzuru."

With an embarrassed look taking over the first girl shouts, "what is this!!! I understand Yuzuru being rude but I don't even know you!!! Why are being mean to me?"

Now feeling bad about what he said, Burchard looks back at her with an innocent smile while responding, "sorry!"

The first girl crosses her arms and looks away with a big humph then says, "sorry isn't good enough jerk!"

Seeing an opportunity the second girl adds, "confirmation: it is unsurprising to see you act like a child."

The first girls head snaps over to her while shouting, "didn't I tell you to shut up?!"

Realizing hostility where starting again Burchard looks over at the first girl while saying, "sorry for what I said, but I do have to admit that sturm lanze is a pretty cool name."

A look of unimpressment crosses Shido's face as he whispers, "seriously? How do you think that would work?"

Before Burchard can say anything, he finds his personal space suddenly occupied by the first girl who stands there looking at him with starry eyes and an overall glowing expression as she says with glee, "really! You think so?"

Leaning back in an attempt to subtly put some distance between them, Burchard sheepishly replies, "uh yah."

Hearing this causes her to spin around and skipping with joy back to the second girl while Burchard looks back at shido with a satisfied grin which causes Shido to sigh disheartedly saying, "yeah yeah I get it. You were right."

Meanwhile the first girl stops in front of the second girl while saying with glee, "yah hear that Yuzuru!"

She crosses her arms and with a smug look continues, "he thinks it's a cool name!"

The second girl looks back at her while responding: rebuttal: it is clear that he is simply being nice."

Unfazed and still looking smug the first girl responds, "hah, sounds like you're making up excuses."

Shido again appearing to talk to someone then looks up at the girls while asking, "what are you doing here?"

The second girl looks over while saying, "reply: we are here to have our final battle."

The first girl adds in, "yes! Until we were so rudely interrupted by you!!"

To the confusion of both of them, she points at shido who asks while pointing at Burchard, "what are you talking about? He was the one that interrupted you?"

She scoffs back at him then proclaims with her fists dug into her sides, "he has shown to have too good of character to have possibly interrupted us!!!"

The second girl adds: explanation: it's because he complimented her weapons name."

The first's girl head immediately snaps towards the second while shouting with hints of embarrassment in her voice, "you didn't need to tell him that!!!"

Realizing what was said before hand, Shido asks with a feeling of unease, "wait. What did you mean final battle?"

They both look back at him and with a surprisingly serious look and tone, the first girl replies, "this is the final battle to do determine our fate though..."

She looks over at the second girl while continuing, "we have run into a problem."

The second girl adds in, "continuation: we have run out of potential battles."

Suddenly the first girls eyes go wide as she stares at the two boys as if she just had an idea then looks back at the second girl with a mischievous grin, "say Yuzuru I have had a splendid idea!"

The second girl replies, "inquiry: what might your idea be?"
