Hello everyone, here is Chapter 18 of the Perfect One. Will's training with his new abilities continue as Coulson and his team arrive in New York with a mission. An Index evaluation for a possible mutant psychic and Will would be normally ok with that except for one thing. She lives near Camp Crystal Lake. Can someone say undead zombie? One Friday the 13th to be remembered but Will's gonna make sure someone gets sent to hell. Enjoy!

The Perfect One: Friday the 13th: Jason Goes to Hell

October 2013: New York City

The cool chill afternoon breeze of autumn swept through Manhattan as a nice reprieve from the intense heat and humidity that summer in the city could bring. The change in season did little to change how busy the city was but it had other affects. The leaves were changing color and the city was getting ready for Halloween and the other fall Holidays before moving into Winter. It was a pleasant time to be in the city and taking advantage of that was Will.

Doing something out of character, he was adorned in his Aegis gear and sitting up on the mooring mast of the Empire State Building. He could see the open decks down below where the tourists could come out, view the city, and take pictures but they had no idea he was right above them. Their view was good, but nothing compared to his. The reason he was active in his suit was twofold. One because he hadn't worn the suit in a while and wanted to make sure it still fit. It did which was a good thing, but the other reason was to assess his powers outside of the safe confines of the Avengers Tower observation room Tony and Bruce put him in. Sure, he was in that room to better test his powers in a controlled environment, so he didn't accidently hurt someone, but he had been doing that for the past two weeks and had gotten a good enough grasp on his new powers that he was ok to go out. Using his powers in the controlled environment of the Avengers Tower observation room was one thing but his powers may operate differently outside. So, in the interest of science he went out into the city to see if his powers reacted differently. And if he so happened to stop criminals and do some good deeds then even better.

With him sitting his butt on a pipe connected to the Mooring Mast of the Empire State Building he was tempted to channel his inner Darth Revan and use his plasma/lightning manipulation and go all Sith Lord in the sky but that may be too much. The last thing he needed was Fury coming after him for using his powers in Manhattan and scaring people. So, he decided to go with the two next best options: wind and water manipulation.

He took several deep breaths as he focused and concentrated. While he had managed to get a handle on his new abilities, it didn't mean it was as easy for him like with his other powers. It had been three years since he had undergone his Primagen Terrigenesis, and his powers had come a long way. He went through three sorts of upgrades since then. The first, when he was on Rook Island and got the Tatau on his left arm. His inhuman blood reacted to the weird Primagen meteor dust ink of the Tatau and granted him super soldier like physiology and a small increase in his mental acuity. The second was when he interfaced with Loki's scepter right before the Battle of New York. Whatever that yellow stone thing was in the scepter (most likely the source of its power) it was powerful and easily overloaded his brain and put him in a mini-coma down memory lane but also expanded his powers allowing him to look into the minds of the other Avengers and even Fury. It's where he learned he could Astral Project and when he woke up his abilities were given a massive power boost. Jarvis and EDI suspected that the power boost made him the Avenger's heaviest hitter alongside Thor and Hulk. They didn't know who would win in a full-on fight between the three of them as they had no measure on Thor's upper limits or the Hulk's, for that matter, and no one in their right mind wanted to see the Hulk let loose. Still, considering he was able to go toe-to-toe with the Juggernaut and live, he was sure that heaviest hitter thing was probably right. Oh, Juggernaut vs Hulk. That'd be a villain/hero fight Will would pay to see.

Back on track, his most recent upgrade came curtsey of when he was made host for the primordial Aether. Like before with the yellow stone, the Aether did something to his power as they got stronger but also more precise. He now had greater control over his brain which opened up a new branch for his telekinesis in the form of molecular manipulation. It was easily his most powerful new ability but that also meant it was his most difficult to use. Bruce already explained the science of his new power which was basically the Aether supercharged the inner parts of his brain which now gave him finer control of his telekinesis then before allowing him to sense and now manipulate molecules of an object. He had experience in the ability before on a broader scale like with manipulating the small vibranium orbs into weapons or using his telekinesis destruction to completely explode an object into dust or particle. Now, Bruce theorized that he could train his telekinesis to such a degree that he could literally rearrange the molecules of an object and turn it into something else. He could literally turn coal into gold which he actually tried but the only thing that happened after three hours of training was the coal exploding into dust and Will getting a serious nosebleed.

Both on paper and in practice, this kind of ability was beyond complicated which made it even more difficult to train. Literally rearranging subatomic molecules of an object into something else entirely wasn't as easy as it sounded at all and it's not like he could just snap his finger and boom a piece of rock would turn into gold or a piece of paper would magically turn into a sandwich. First off, when he did manage to isolate and sense the molecules in an object, he had to know the molecular structure of the thing he wanted to transform it into or else it would literally just explode in his face. And even if he knew what the structure looked like didn't mean it was any easier as if he made a slight error then he risked it exploded which has happened more than once. The second he used his powers on an object's molecules and began rearranging them it grew unstable which usually resulted in the object literally exploding into pieces and turning to dust. It's why his elemental-based molecular manipulation was much easier because it was simpler. Fire was literally just causing the molecules in the air on in an object to vibrate with enough friction to ignite. Halting their motion all together froze the object to absolute zero and manipulating ionized gas molecules in the air let him control plasma and lightning. The element he was currently focusing on now was air.

Using his telekinetic sense Will could see the air molecules all around him, so he focused on a small cluster and concentrated, picking up their speed and movement into a particular area. That area happened to be in the tourist deck below him and the wind picked up suddenly catching the tourists off guard. It even blew away a kid's balloon, but Will felt bad, so he pooled the air around the balloon into a sort of mini-tornado and guided it back down to the kid. Since it was all air and wind the tourists didn't see anything other than the balloon and Will was rotating the air fast enough to make the condensation funnel, you'd normally see with a tornado, but the kid wasn't looking a gift horse in the mouth and grabbed his balloon.

Will couldn't help but smile as he saw the kid was happy getting his balloon back. Simpler times.

"Sorry for the interruption Will but I have the location of a new shipment of drugs that have arrived in New York to be smuggled for countrywide distribution by the Juarez Cartel. They were delivered to a warehouse in Brooklyn underneath the Verrazzano-Narrows Bridge for safe keeping and under guard." EDI informed him.

"Sounds good. I could use the exercise." Will pulled his hood which activated his mask and leaned back, falling off the pole he was sitting on and heading straight to the ground. The sight of a man falling from the Empire State Building would have caused a panic and some did see it but then to their confusion the falling man vanished like he was never there. There was no splat, no screams and no body hit the ground, so people chalked it up to the urban mirage phenomenon or their minds playing tricks on them. It was sort of the latter as Will was flying through the air to his destination while utilizing another new ability based on his Molecular Manipulation enhancement. Invisibility.

With his new precision in his telekinesis, Will figured out he could turn invisible by folding/bending the light waves and particles around his body or an object. Folding the light around his body turned him invisible as the light had nothing to bounce off which in turn made him unseen to the human eye and even cameras. Granted, it also meant that when he turned invisible he couldn't see as he bended the light away from his eyes. No light hitting his eyes, no vision but that wasn't a drawback as he could just use his telekinetic sense to give him complete view of everything in his head. It was different to his telepathic invisibility he has already used like on Coulson or on Skye as that wasn't actual invisibility. That was just him using his telepathy to trick the mind of his target, so they didn't see him. This was actual invisibility and while it was tricky at first to get, he managed to get the hang of it but that didn't mean it was as easy for him as it was to stop bullets in the air or fire a telekinetic energy blast. He still needed plenty of training with it before he got it down and could do it in his sleep.

Brooklyn

The Juarez cartel enforcers charged with guarding the warehouse were on alert after their recent shipment of 3,000 kilos of cocaine arrived. It would be shipped out for countrywide distribution later tonight with some remaining for local selling and then they'd get more cocaine in a few days and repeat. They have paid off dock workers, importers, and local police so they didn't get any unwanted trouble. On paper, the warehouse was just that, a warehouse for housing and distribution for items like they had them all throughout New York City and its five boroughs, but it was a front.

A semitruck pulled up to the warehouse and the guards let it through but shutting, locking, and resuming their positions at the gate so no one else came in and no wandering eyes paid them any attention. The truck backed up to the loading dock of the warehouse where the workers quickly opened up the back and moved in crates of goods like boxes of stuffed animals, toys, hollowed-out propane tanks, tires, and things like that where bricks of cocaine could be stuffed in with none the wiser. And the drug smugglers sprayed down the inside of the truck with bleach and had fertilizer bags to hide the smell if they encountered dogs. It may seem odd, but the trick has worked before. They finished loading the truck, so the driver walked over to the front when he noticed that two of the tires were flat. He cursed his luck and the men quickly got to work on changing the tires as fast as possible.

There was a total of eight guards at the main gate that led to the warehouse, dressed as regular security guards with pistols on their belts but they had Kevlar vests underneath their clothes and the two guard booths that flanked the main gate had assault rifles and shotguns stashed there. Also in the guard booths were grenades and even an RPG so if the police or anyone tried to get in then they'd be done for. Except if that person was an Avenger. The wind suddenly picked up out of nowhere causing the guards to shield their eyes in reflex and then the high-speed wind turned frigid. And not fall night frigid but like artic frigid and before the guards could raise an alarm or talk about what the hell was happening, they were frozen solid in place by ice. The ground around the guards was frozen solid and the air around them was chilled so much that when the surrounding air or wind brushed by it turned into vapor like a human's breath would in very cold weather.

"Not bad…" A voice said as Aegis suddenly appeared around them, ending his invisibility. He looked at the frozen cartel guards in curiosity to check his handywork. Their bodies were completely frozen in solid ice with some of it starting to crack or melt due to the temperature. They were still alive inside but if they remained frozen for about 11 minutes then they'd suffer from hypothermia and die. "Very Mr. Freeze of me. EDI, make note of this and send it to Tony and Bruce."

"Will do."

Aegis snapped his fingers and the ice surrounding the guards shattered allowing their bodies to drop to the floor. They were all unconscious and other then some slight headaches and needing some chicken noodle soup when they wake up, they'd be fine. Ice manipulation had its uses.

The workers at the warehouse finished putting on the new tires to the truck so the driver got in and started it up only to hear the engine sputter. He turned the keys and gave the engine some gas but got the same sputter only this time the engine and dashboard of the vehicle began to spark with blue electricity like the battery exploded. The driver was soon electrocuted and hit with enough electricity to knock him out. Then the whole truck exploded with electricity that shot out and zapped all the nearby cartel guards and workers, knocking them out as well. The guards in the warehouse had no idea what was going on as all they saw was the truck turn into a lightning storm and anyone near it was struck so they all retreated inside and closed the shutter doors just as a huge gust of wind picked up. Another surge of blue lightning appeared and shorted out all the lights in the warehouse, including the emergency ones leaving the cartel guards and workers in darkness. They all pulled out pistols from their belts or retrieved hidden assault rifles and shotguns in nearby boxes or desks and shined their flashlights around to see what was happening. To them, everything that happened so far was odd, but they had no visual confirmation of this being the work of someone. With the way the world was now they couldn't discount this being the work of one of the Avengers or someone new like that guy in the mask beating people with his fists, but he stayed in Hell's Kitchen. It could all be a fluke weird weather situation but the drugs they were protecting for distribution along with the rest in the warehouse was worth millions, so they were paranoid.

That's when two guards noticed two faint blue glows appear on the floor, so they turned around to see two glowing blue eyes which were from the mask belonging to Aegis. The two raised their guns but Aegis charged forward and took them down immediately with their screams of pain echoing throughout the warehouse. All that came from the warehouse after were sporadic bits of gunfire from assault rifles, pistols, and shotguns followed by the loud thwacks of heavy impacts and the grunts, groans, and shouts of people experiencing a painful beatdown. Flashes of light could be seen from the windows, indicative of the muzzle flashes of guns along with the steady streams of light from flashlights and a faint blue glow. Overall, it sounded like the cartel members were fighting against a monster and losing. Badly.

After about a minute, all the sounds coming from inside the warehouse ceased entirely and one of the shutter gates opened. Out walked Will still in his Aegis gear completely unharmed and his gear without so much as a scuff mark minus a 5.56mm bullet casing that was precariously laying on his shoulder.

"Oh." He flicked it off his shoulder like it was a leaf and walked away, leaving behind an absolute slaughterhouse of a massacre behind him. Granted, slaughterhouse may be the wrong description as he didn't kill anyone, more just severe beatings and crippling injuries that would make the rest of their lives a living hell. Whether or not that was better than death was based on personal belief, but Will decided to take the road of least resistance, AKA, what would get him the least in trouble with Fury. Him practicing his new powers with real world applications in New York would be easier for him to stomach if it didn't involve having to deal with the headache of reading about a bloodbath in the paper. Fury couldn't care less about a drug cartel beatdown, and neither could the other higher ups in SHIELD but if it turned into a massacre then it would be a different story. Without the dead bodies, the headline would be giant drug den busted or huge coke bust, something along those lines.

With a quick wave of his hand, he used his telekinesis to fix up the warehouse, namely removing the bodies strung up in the ceiling rafters and had them all grouped together before using some rope to tie them up. "All right, that's done with. EDI, you got anything else for me?" Will asked.

"I've managed to isolate and identify various criminal activities all over the five boroughs of New York City. Would you like to hear them all?" She wondered as Will looked over at the setting sun.

"Sure, why not? I've got the time." He admitted and after getting some information, he began the rest of his night making New York City a little safer.

The next morning…

The blaring of his alarm clock woke up Dr. Banner from his peaceful sleep and pleasant dreams. Him, laying down in a hammock on a beach, drinking a cool refreshing drink out of a coconut with his sweetheart Betty Ross curled up next to him. Just them relaxing and the Hulk was playing in the sand nearby, completely at peace. He and Betty started to kiss but the alarm clock woke him up before the dream turned into a different kind. He went through his morning routine and got ready, exchanging some texts with Betty as she was getting ready for her morning classes. After the incident with Jen and Bruce spending time with her to help her with her Hulk form, he finally contacted Betty after much insisting from both Jen and Will. She was a little hurt he took so long to contact her, especially since he was seen as a hero after the Battle of New York and after a lot of arguing, excuses, begging and pleading from Bruce, followed by some more arguing the two had managed to reconcile. She even came to visit Bruce at the tower. Considering how he got involved in a fight with the military when he was at Culver university it wouldn't be a smart thing to show up.

The two were making it work long distance with Dr. Ross still working at Culver University and Dr. Banner at Avengers towers but their distance wasn't as much of an issue with Tony and full access to a Quinjet for quick travel. Since Bruce was working with Tony at Avengers Tower and given Dr. Ross's expertise in biology and radiation she could help as well but if she wanted to stay a teacher she could attempt to work at universities in the city like NYU or Columbia.

Dr. Banner got dressed after taking a morning shower and walked down the stairs from his floor to head to the kitchen for something to eat but to his surprise he saw Will already there making breakfast. From the smell it involved bacon, eggs and quite possibly toast as well.

"Morning, Dr. Banner. Omelet?" Will called out, not looking away from the stove at all as he tended to his breakfast. He plated a perfectly cooked egg-white omelet filled with onions, bell peppers, tomatoes, jalapenos, spinach, and breakfast sausage. Also on the plate were some hash browns, extra breakfast sausage and bacon with a side of toast. While it sounded like a lot, it was actually more as the quantity was much larger than a normal serving. Given Will's powers and his super soldier like metabolism he ate more than normal.

"Please. That smells delicious." Dr. Banner replied as he walked over and sat down at the counter, gently petting Goose on the belly as the Flerken was sleeping on the crouch sprawled out like he was a human. It was cute, minus the fact that if you woke up a cat it would just scratch you but if you woke up a Flerken it would eat you.

"Coming right up." Will quickly got to work, whipping up some egg whites while using his telekinesis as an extra pair of arms to ready the ingredients he began to cook with while also levitating the coffee pot over and pouring some into two cups. The fridge then opened and out came the cream.

Bruce took his coffee and added in some sugar when he noticed they were one short. "Crystal still not back yet?"

"No, Medusa needs her on Attilan for a while. They have a Terrigenesis ceremony to go through and she needs to be there for that." Will answered. "I did send her back with a supermarket worth of earth food though so that definitely won me some points with her sister and Blackbolt."

"How are things up there?" Bruce wondered.

"Better for sure. Most of the people on Attilan aren't really aware of me and the fact that I've been able to come and go from Earth to Attilan with Crystal and Lockjaw, but they figure something is up. They're a city that's been stuck with a vegetable diet for centuries and now they have fish, chicken, and eggs. And every time Crystal heads back, I send her with enough groceries to fill a small grocery store. They have to assume things are changing but I'm sure they're not looking a gift horse in the mouth." Will answered.

"Where do you buy all that? Better question is how you can afford all that?" Bruce asked.

"Food distribution centers, wholesale price. Plus, I've got a sizeable bank account from my earlier assignments. Gold, jewels, and cash I found on Rook Island, and I've invested that, so it grows, and I don't exactly live the life of a rich guy. Other than the upkeep for my parents' house in Jersey City, food, donations to various charities, and putting aside some for a nice nest egg to retire, I have more then I need. Helps that all my work expenses can be handled by SHIELD or Tony." He pointed out, plating Dr. Banners omelet and placing it down in front of him.

"Amen to that." Bruce clinked his coffee with Will and the two relished in their morning beverage. "So, how did your field testing of your new powers go last night?"

"Very well. Let's just say that some New Yorkers slept soundly last night." Will sipped his coffee and smirked as he remembered his adventures last night.

Flashback…

Queens

A Silver Mercedes SLR pulled into the valet parking lot for a restaurant by the valet. After parked into place, the valet got out and walked back to the restaurant unaware that the second he started walking away a car thief crept out from behind the dumpster. He walked over to the parked SLR and inserted a special electronic key into the driver's side door handle key slot. After a few seconds of matching to the key lock, he managed to unlock the door and after some hotwiring he would be driving away with an expensive car only as soon as he opened the door it closed shut.

The car thief was momentarily confused so he opened the car door only for it to slam shut again. When he reached for the door handle a third time the door opened and slammed into his crotch causing him to double-over in pain. That's when a sudden gust of wind came out of nowhere from the side and caught him off guard. On top of the sudden wind, the ground under his feet had become slick with ice causing him to lose his footing. He flailed around as he tried to catch his balance when another influx of sudden wind hit him from the side, more powerful than before it pushed him along the sheet of ice on the ground. Trying to stay balanced during his unintended ice skating a chunk of the ground came up causing him to trip and fall but when he fell, he went headfirst and knocked himself out.

There wasn't a sound to be heard other than the subtle flittering of the evening breeze when part of the air next to the unconscious car thief shimmered and Aegis appeared. "That worked out well." He remarked, chuckling a bit at the car thief who bonked his head on the ground and knocked himself out.

The valet drove back into the parking lot with a new car and did his job but when he got out that's when he saw a man in black clothing strung up and hanging from a wall with the words, Call police etched next to him. The valet did, thinking the guy was attacked but when the police officers arrived, assessed the scene, and got the man down they found car theft tools along with some photos in his jacket of him stealing cars, so they arrested him. Whoever had incapacitated him had given the police officers an easy collar.

Manhattan

A flatbed truck was driving down the Henry Hudson Parkway along the banks of the Hudson river. It was carrying construction equipment on its truck bed, all of which was secured via chains, rope, and security bands and they were all secured properly but one of the chain anchor point was wobbly and loose after years of wear and tear. It was hanging on by a thread with all the weight it had to keep locked down so one bad hit and it was done for which is unfortunately what happened.

The truck drove over a large pothole on the parkway which normally wouldn't be a problem other than the jolt it gives you which is exactly what happened. The jolt of the truck bed caused the construction equipment to jostle around and their combined weight pulled on the chain was enough to pull the chain anchor point off. With that, some of the construction equipment managed to slip free including heavy crates and some rebar. The truck driver saw what happened via his left rearview mirror and hit the brakes along with the other cars around him. The car behind the truck had spouses driving home from dinner. The husband slammed on the brakes after he saw what happened and to their horror, he and his wife saw pieces of rebar falling off the truck and coming at their windshield. Their lives flashed before their eyes, and they awaited their untimely fate, but nothing came. To their shock it was like time stopped as they saw the rebar freeze in the air just before they broke through the windshield. For a second, they assumed that maybe time had frozen but judging by the rhythmic click of the husband's watch that wasn't the case.

Whatever happened, they were just glad to be alive but that was only the beginning as they saw the rebar pieces float back over to the truck and were placed back onto the flatbed with the other equipment that had come loose. It was like watching something out of Harry Potter as everything was put back to normal onto the truck that almost caused a massive pileup and accident. That's what the husband and wife saw along with the passengers of every car on the parkway, all of which had come to a sudden stop despite the drivers not hitting the brakes. Some drivers even stepped on the accelerator and heard their engines rev up, but they didn't move. Once the truck bed was fixed it was straightened out and the driver, still taken aback at what just happened continued driving along with everyone else. A bad accident had just been averted.

Hovering high in the sky was Aegis, having used his powers to prevent that accident. He froze the rebar before they killed that couple, froze their car along with the truck and every single other vehicle behind them amounting to over a hundred and placed them all back into place to resume their drive in the span of a few minutes.

To him. It was a cakewalk.

The Bronx

A young couple was walking home after some dancing at a club when a man wearing a black hoodie stepped out in front of them. He looked menacing and eyed the couple with dangerous intent. They quickly turned around to leave when an even larger man blocked their path. The guy in front grabbed the woman's purse and when her boyfriend tried to stop him the larger guy grabbed him and pushed him to the ground. He raised his leg to stomp his face in when his crotch suddenly caught on fire.

"AHH!" The guy screamed bloody murder as he freaked out and flailed around, trying to put it out when he was suddenly thrown against a wall very hard. He slumped to the ground as the boyfriend and girlfriend looked at the other guy who suddenly was frozen in place and covered in ice. Aegis then appeared and grabbed the purse the mugger still had in his grasp and held it forward.

"Thank you." The girlfriend took it and Aegis motioned for them to leave so she and her boyfriend did.

Aegis looked at the mugger and punched him in the face, shattering his icy prison and knocking him out along with breaking his nose and a few other bones in his face. He wasn't done with the muggers yet and when a patrol car did come pick the up a few moments later after an anonymous tip was called the officers found the muggers in some bad shape. Serious broken bones that if they healed would make the rest of their lives a lot more difficult to hurt other people.

Brooklyn

A dozen members of a gang had arrived in a warehouse to inspect a recent shipment of guns that had come in. Well, more like one shipment of guns. Actually, more like one crate of guns only they were not just any guns but some high-tech guns curtsey of Hammer Industries. While their CEO was in jail and his company shut down after the fiasco that was his drone showcase at the Stark Expo and the revelation of his involvement with Whiplash, a lot of their tech had managed to go missing before the authorities could secure it all and was in the hands of some exclusive arms dealers. Justin Hammer may have been a douchebag and a wannabe Tony Stark who wasn't nearly as smart, but he did make some decent high-tech weapons.

A gang member pried opened the crate with a crowbar to reveal the 20 high-tech assault rifles and underneath the rifles were 10,000 rounds of ammunition. While the guns didn't look like anything too fancy that would incur exorbitant cost appearances were deceiving. The rifles were untraceable, made of high-tech polymers so they were undetectable by regular means, and their ammunition was specially fragmented so that when it hit a target one bullet would split up into eight different pieces causing much more damage to whatever it hit. Imagine a rifle bullet that hit as hard as a normal one but with the effect a shotgun shell had. And these were some of Hammer's more regular arms.

The gang lieutenant picked up a rifle and loaded a magazine in it. "Yeah, these will do. Johnson, call the boss on Staten Island. Tell him we got the toys and we'll put them to good use."

Johnson nodded and pulled out his cellphone when it was suddenly pulled out of his hand. "How about I do that?"

Aegis appeared from the darkness and held his hand forward, sending all the gang members flying through the warehouse with his telekinesis. The lieutenant took aim and fired the entire magazine at Aegis but even the new bullets were nothing to an Avenger as they all slowed to a dead stop in the air. Once his magazine was empty, Aegis lowered his hand and the bullets harmlessly fell to the floor. The gang member quickly tried to reload his new rifle but with a simple head tilt it was crushed into a ball and slammed into the guy's face. He cradled his nose as Aegis walked over and flicked the guy in the nose, sending him flying across the warehouse until he hit a wall. Holding his hands towards the crate of weapons, he channeled his inner Palpatine and used his plasma manipulation to fire a stream of blue lightning from his hand at the crate, destroying the weapons. Was it a little unnecessary? Yes. Was it cool? Yes.

Seeing everyone incapacitated EDI made an anonymous call to the police while Will checked out the phone he took and quickly figured out where the gang's hideout and boss were. It was time to pay them a visit.

Staten Island

"FUCKING KILL THE BASTARD!"

"PIN HIM DOWN!"

"WHERE THE HELL DID HE COME FROM?!"

"IS THE HULK HERE?!"

"RUN FOR IT!"

"EVERY MAN FOR HIMSELF!"

General chaos and panic were heard along with gunfire in the complex home to a Serbian gang that was headquartered in Staten Island. The place was like a fortress with cameras all over the perimeter and plenty of armed guards and enforcers. Easily a hundred people there at any given time so a police raid would be beyond difficult. Not so much for an Avenger however as they were quickly finding out.

A group of Serbian gangsters were running down a hallway, the panic on their faces couldn't be more evident as they ran for safety. Those lagging behind had stopped behind corners and used their pistols or assault rifles to shoot at their attacker, but it was no good. While their guns would be fine against the cops or a rival gang, they were dealing with an Avenger and not just any Avenger but the one that glowed blue and could make things move just by looking at them. They were beyond screwed which made their choice to fight all the more baffling but in those situations you either fled or fought so they fought. Valiant but pointless.

Some of the Serbian gang were preparing a kill corridor in the next hall, their fingers ready on the triggers of their guns when the power suddenly went out. Without the lights they were blind in the dark. Literally. So, they turned on their flashlights and they pressured one of their own to go investigate, offering him up as bait. With no other choice he went, aiming his phone flashlight around him but seeing nothing. That's when he felt something fall onto his head from above, so he looked up and saw Aegis propped up on the ceiling.

"AHH!"

All the other gangsters saw was his flashlight hit the ground and the small flashes of light from his pistol going off after Aegis took him down. Several heavy footsteps came next followed by more screaming as Aegis took down the gang members with his bare hands. A barrage of bullets from an assault rifle partially illuminated Aegis disarming one gangster and breaking his arm while he kicked another in the leg and then groin. Some more erratic gunfire showed Aegis elbow another gangster in the neck and heave him into the ceiling before suplexing another gangster into the ground. More flashes of light from guns showed Aegis using a gangster as human shield as he pressed forward. Another series of light flashes showed Aegis walking through bullets to get to his two next targets. The gangster could clearly see their bullets hitting him, but they bounced or broke against his outfit, and they were taken out quickly and brutally.

The entire fight lasted about ten minutes and Will had taken precautions to make sure no one could escape. When the police arrived due to a call about shots fired, they found the members of the local Serbian gang all beaten and trussed up for them including their leaders along with all the circumstantial evidence they would need. And once they did a little more digging thanks to exigent circumstances, the DA would have enough to put them all away for a long time.

Will had fun. It had been a while since he fought hand to hand like that, so it was some good exercise. And thanks to his suit being made of Vibranium he didn't have to worry about the bullets and just did what he did best. And he got to channel a little bit of his inner Batman for the fight.

These were just some of the incidents that Will got involved with in New York. With his job he couldn't make patrolling New York a regular thing but every now and then? Sure.

End Flashback…

Line Break xxxxx

Jersey City, New Jersey

Will walked around his parents' house, well his house now, and was doing some general cleaning and upkeep. Mostly cleaning as it had been a while since he had been back, so some dust had piled up which was easy enough to take care of. The only other thing at his house of importance other than a hidden closet full of gun and some personal items like his Chevrolet Chevelle which he kept in the garage under a dust cover since he had his Aston Martin and motorcycle on his quinjet. It wasn't big enough to fit two cars.

Will was using a Swiffer wet jet to clean the floors when he noticed Goose watching him, perched up on the kitchen counter. "You're more than welcome to help out, Goose? I've got a tiny little duster I think you can use." He pointed out only for Goose to ignore him and start licking his paw. "Yeah, I figured."

Will continued cleaning but used his powers to assist him, like using Windex and paper towels to clean the windows or conjuring little tornados to gather all the dust. With his powers the entire house would be clean in a few minutes and after that he'd head back to the city to get his quinjet and go regroup with Coulson. He had been away a lot longer than he originally thought he would and surprisingly he hadn't gotten a call from Fury asking what he was doing or chewing him out. He still kept in touch with Coulson and the team and Skye filled him in on what was going or more accurately, what wasn't going on. The team hadn't really undertaken a new mission since the one with the Berserker Staff. The most they had done was assist other SHIELD teams with logistical or tech support and that was pretty much it. It was surprisingly quiet, and they weren't looking a gift horse in the mouth, and neither was Will.

Coming back to New York and spending time at Avengers tower was nice, being able to take a sort of semi-vacation from SHIELD, but it also meant he was able to be there for his friend, Tabby. Spending the past few weeks in New York to be there for her on her road to recovery after what Kilgrave did to her. She was still seeing a therapist and going to group sessions but was getting better. Will and his other friends being there for her when she needed it really helped and she was slowly regaining her inner-strength, confidence, and security that Kilgrave took. It was still a long road, but she was getting there although some things in her life had changed. For one, she had given up on her dreams of being an actor and after what happened with Kilgrave, she didn't want to be manipulated by men like that again which everyone could understand. Will managed to use his connections with Tony to get her work at Avengers Tower as a clerical worker and while the job wasn't exactly glamorous or exciting (unless you count meeting some of the Avengers from time to time) it was steady, the pay was good, and she was safe. No one would dare mess with Avengers Tower when the Hulk was upstairs in the penthouse. The security of the new job did a lot to help Tabby's mindset but the self-improvement and security didn't stop there as Tabby began taking MMA and self-defense classes. Everyone was caught off guard at first with her decision but given what happened it also made sense. She never wanted to be taken advantage of or feel powerless. She started going to a UFC gym and got a personal trainer to help her stay in shape and teach her to fight but Will recommended a separate Krav Maga trainer to better train her for real-life situations. He and his friends even went with Tabby to a few of the lessons for group synergy and the others knowing some tips for self-defense wasn't a bad idea.

[Phone-ringing]

Will was brought out of his little mental flashback by his phone, so he picked it up to see it was Coulson calling him. "Hey, Coulson. How's it going?"

"Fine. How's your friend doing?"

"She's getting better. She's been through a lot but is managing to find a way back to a sense of normalcy. Just glad that asshole Kilgrave is rotting away in a SHIELD prison cell." Will stated.

"And I can vouch for that. I did some checking after I found out what he was doing and his powers. He's still locked up and his mouth is muzzled so he's not going anywhere."

"Thanks, Coulson. I appreciate that. So, what's up? Has Fury finally called you to wonder why I've been in New York for the past few weeks?" Will wondered.

"No but you ready to get back into the field? We have a new mission."

"I'm in. To be honest I've been kind of weirded out with how quiet it's been." Will remarked. "So, what do we got? Secret infiltration of Latveria? I have had a strange feeling about that country ever since Victor von Doom took over a few months ago. They've been eerily quiet and closed off since."

"No, nothing like that. I think sneaking into Latveria is a little too much even for my team, but I've been told that Fury is looking into the Latveria situation. We've got an Index evaluation and you're gonna like this one. A possible psychic."

"Are you talking actual psychic or like the Chris Angel douchebag/slight of hand psychic for Vegas?" Will asked for clarification.

"Potentially a real psychic. Index target is a girl named Tina Shepard, age 17. In and out of therapy for years. Family life was stable except for an abusive alcoholic father. I've got copies of the police reports. Looks like the police were called a few times after calls of domestic violence but the father had the pull to stay out of jail. Then when Tina was 8 her father drowned in a lake."

"Tragic but seems fairly normal. Where does the psychic part come into this?" Will wondered.

"Well, according to the files her psychiatrist Dr. Crews has on her, she said she killed her father by, and I quote, destroying the dock with her mind." Coulson said and Will was intrigued. "She kept insisting that she had powers but hadn't been able to use them since until a few days ago during another session. She sent all his furniture in his office flying."

"Ok, starting to buy it more and more. I'm guessing SHIELD was called soon after?"

"Yeah, and we're called to do an Index Evaluation. Given you're probably the psychic authority on the planet you can probably help her with her powers if everything proves to be right and contain her should things go wrong."

"I got it. This could be interesting if Tina turns out to not be a mutant. As far as I'm aware, I'm the only non-mutant psychic on the Index because I'm Inhuman. And according to SHIELD they've done exhaustive studies into psychic power and how they're not possible unless someone's a mutant. Speaking of which, what happens if she is one. Most of the team won't have the security clearance to know that." Will pointed out.

"We'll cross that bridge when it comes up, but they'll be sworn to NDA's and secrecy regarding if she's a mutant which we still don't know. If she was, I imagine we would have gotten a call from Professor Xavier."

"Fair point. All right. I'll get to the Quinjet and come meet you guys. What's your location?" Will asked.

"Actually, you can halt the Quinjet transport and drive there. Tina Shepard lives in New Jersey so we're going to land at local airport and drive to meet her. You can meet us there."

"All right. Where am I going?" He asked.

"Cunningham County. A town called Crystal Lake."

A deep sense of foreboding, fear, and trepidation washed over Will, he felt his stomach do flips and tighten up, and his hands got all clammy.

"Will? Will you there?"

"Uh…what was the town called again?" Will asked, hoping that Coulson would be wrong and say a different town.

"Crystal Lake."

But he was wrong. He was going to Crystal Lake.

"OH, HELL NO!"

Line Break xxxxx

Crystal Lake, Cunningham County, New Jersey

Two SHIELD vans drove down the roads and entered the town of Crystal Lake. May and Coulson were in the lead car while Ward drove the second with Fitz-Simmons and Skye and all their gear. They were enjoying the pleasant drive after they got off the highway and began taking the local roads to their destination. The further things got away from the highways and larger towns the more quant and tranquil they got. Trees and forests replaced buildings as they eventually arrived in the town of Crystal Lake, apply named because it had a large lake named Crystal Lake. It was much like any other small town that was sequestered in the deep forests. Small family stores, no buildings bigger than five stories, plenty of houses built on the embankment of the giant lake and a quaint countryside feeling that was a nice reprieve from city life.

The SHIELD cars stopped at the hotel the team would be staying at while in Crystal Lake to set up their makeshift base since going back and forth to the BUS would take too long. Skye and Fitz-Simmons got out of the car and smiled, taking in the fresh, clean forest air and quaint small town feel of the area. "I've never been to New Jersey before, but this place is great." Skye pointed out.

"I know, right? All I know about New Jersey is what I've seen on TV and this place is nothing like Jersey Shore and Real Housewives." Simmons said when she noticed the odd looks Skye, Fitz, and Ward suddenly gave her. "What? I enjoy shutting my brain off every now and then with reality TV."

"No shame in that. I don't mind reality TV every now and then but I'm more for Naked and Afraid and the Great British Bake Off." Skye said.

"Oh, I do enjoy a good cooking show." Fitz agreed as Ward finished getting the last of their bags and crates out of the trunk.

"Not that this conversation about our favorite mind-numbing TV shows isn't a sparkling conversation but now's not the time." Ward told them and they nodded, getting their stuff.

Coulson and May finished checking them in to the four rooms on the first floor they'd be using as their makeshift base and where they'd be staying if their Index Evaluation ended up needing them to stay overnight. They'd split into two for the rooms with a lucky person getting a single and Skye managed to win rock-paper-scissors to get that. Skye opened the door to her room and dropped her bag on the bed when she heard the familiar roar of a car engine. She and the others walked out of their rooms to see a familiar looking Aston Martin pull up to the hotel and park. The car drew some attention from nearby civilians as seeing a fancy car in Crystal Lake was not common. Will got out of the car and quickly went to the trunk as Skye walked over.

"We were able to beat you here despite the fact that Coulson gave you a heads up and you don't live that far. How does that work?" Skye quipped.

"I had to pick up some things." Will opened the trunk and grabbed some bags. Skye looked and saw a myriad of guns and ammo in various bags. Rifles, pistols, shotguns, and she was sure she saw a mini-gun, grenade launcher, and RPG.

"Geez, you have enough guns in there to take over a small country." Skye remarked as Will took out the bags that held his preferred guns but then took out a case holding a Barret .50 caliber sniper rifle. "Don't you think this is all excessive for a single Index evaluation? Just how dangerous do you think this Tina girl is?"

"This isn't for her." Will closed the trunk and locked it before heading to one of the rooms.

"Glad you could join us." Coulson tossed him the key to one of the rooms. "Recover from your little panic attack?"

"It wasn't a panic attack but a momentarily lapse in judgement brought on by a very real probability of maiming, vicious attacks, and horrible death. Which is why I came prepared." Will held up all his bags and walked into the room.

"Clearly. You have enough weapons to for a small army." May pointed out as everyone arrived in the room to see what was going on with Will.

"That's just some of it. He has more in the trunk of his car." Skye stated.

"What's got you so worried, Will? I don't think we've ever seen you this tense. You're usually more easy going." Simmons questioned in wonder at how he different he was today.

"You're not worried about an Index evaluation, are you?" Fitz asked.

"No, I'm not. I've done those before…" Will thought on that statement for a second before pausing. "Actually, this is the first time I've done an Index evaluation but that's not it. Don't you guys know where we are?"

Coulson, May, Fitz-Simmons, Skye, and Ward looked at one another in confusion. "Uh…Crystal Lake?" Ward answered.

"Exactly! Home of Jason Voorhees!" Will stated but they still looked confused.

"Who's Jason Voorhees?" Skye wondered.

"Seriously!?" He questioned incredulously. "How do you guys not know about this given your jobs for dealing with weird stuff?"

"Care to fill us in then." Ward crossed his arms wondering what the big deal was which made Will get a serious look before he began to tell his tale.

"Within the woods of Crystal Lake lurks a killer. Buried but not dead. Doomed to rise from the grave and slaughter those who trespass on his home. This is the curse…of Jason Vorhees." Will said in a spooky, ghost story like voice. "Legend goes that Jason Vorhees was a deformed child, bullied and harassed his whole life and only cared for by his single mother, Pamela but not even she could save him when he tragically drowned at Camp Crystal Lake in the 70s. Or did he?"

"Did he, or didn't he?" Fitz asked.

"Over time, Crystal Lake became wrought with unexplained disappearances and violent deaths including the Camp Counsellors who should have been watching Jason when he drowned all those years ago. Someone…or something…was out for vengeance." Will recounted like he was telling an old urban legend.

"And let me guess. It was Jason Vorhees." Ward answered, finding this whole thing ridiculous."

"No. In 1976, 9 counsellors were tragically killed at Camp Crystal Lake, but these murders came at the hand of none other than Jason's own mother Pamela. Seeking revenge for those who neglected her child and doomed him to his terrible end." Will explained.

"Karmic, I guess? Good for her?" Simmons wasn't sure if that was the right thing to say.

"But her killing spree came to an end when the last camp surviving counsellor, Alice Hardy stopped Pamela Vorhees by cutting her head off with a machete. Yet, with her dead the killings continued for the next decade but how? Jason was alive." Will stated and saw the looks he was getting. It ranged from pure disbelief and humor from Coulson, Ward, and May to genuine intrigue from Skye and Fitz-Simmons.

"Wait, so Jason didn't drown?" Skye asked for clarification.

"No, he didn't but they thought he did. Instead, he survived his near death hiding out in the woods until the next year when his mother's reign of terror began and saw with his own eyes as the last survivor killed his mother by cutting her head off with a machete. That moment then gave birth to a monster and all throughout the 80s, Crystal Lake has been wracked with deaths. The camp may have closed after Pamela Vorhees killing spree, but Jason made Crystal Lake bleed. He's killed well over a hundred people with everything from a machete, spears, to his bare hands." He answered. "So be warned. If you ever see a shadow moving through the darkness and hear a familiar ke-ke-ke ha-ha-ha, then run. Because Jason is out to find you and chances are you will not survive."

That actually sounded terrifying and scary with Will's change in voice to try and sell it. All they needed was to be around a campfire at night with the moon up high and owls hooting in the background for it to really unnerve everyone, but they were in a hotel room so no.

"Wait, if he didn't drown then why didn't Jason just go back to his mother?" Fitz asked. "If he didn't drown, he could have just said that to a camper or counsellor and his mother would know and all of that would have been avoided."

Will opened his mouth to give a retort when he suddenly paused. His brain working to produce a valid explanation only for nothing to come to mind as he was left stumped. "Umm…".

"Fitz is right. If he didn't drown, why would he be waiting out in the woods for a full year until the camp reopened? Why not just go find someone to take him home or go back home to his mother?" Simmons added.

"Uh…well…you see…" Will was trying to figure out the right words, but they were escaping him. "Because…he didn't?"

"Well, that was a great campfire story Will but kind of lacking in the logic department." Coulson told him.

"It's not a campfire story. It's a real one. Jason Voorhees, the hockey mask wearing, machete wielding supernatural killer is real. Every kid in New Jersey grows up hearing that story." Will defended himself.

"Exactly, Will. A story. Just something camp counsellors told their campers to freak them out before bed and it spread like all urban legends do." Ward said.

"Why would Jason wear a hockey mask?" Skye wondered.

"To cover his ugly deformed face and it's not an urban legend. It's real I tell ya, Jason Vorhees terrorized Crystal Lake for years in the 80s until he vanished. You can check newspapers, hell you can even check online. He was real and the bodies he left behind are definitely real and he wasn't normal. He got an axe to the head, bullets to the chest, and even had his head and body hacked to pieces from a machete by Tommy Jarvis and he still came back." Will stated.

"How?" Simmons chuckled, finding that hard to believe.

"I don't know maybe he was a zombie, evil supernatural ghost, possessed by a demon, cursed by magic, no one knows for sure. But he didn't die until 1988 when he was supposedly tied to a boulder and trapped at the bottom of Crystal Lake. The authorities checked yet no body was found so he is still out there waiting for his next victim but I've seen enough teenage slasher and horror movies and I'm not gonna be killed by that psycho." Will declared defensively while holding one gun a bit too eagerly.

"That's what the arsenal of weapons is for?" May asked in disbelief at the reason he brough so much firepower.

"Yeah. See how well Jason Vorhees walks away from a 40mm HE grenade round to the face." He said almost as if he were looking forward to that moment occurring.

"Look Will, as much as those stories probably terrified you as a kid, that's all they were. Just stories." Skye assured him.

"It wasn't too long ago that aliens were thought of as just stories, and we live in a world with them and all manner of crazy things that were once thought to be just stories. And if you want any more bad luck on our part. It's literally, Friday the 13th! In October!" Will showed them the calendar app on his phone and it was in fact Friday the 13th and it was October. "So, you may see my paranoia and over preparedness as ridiculous but mark my words if Jason Vorhees shows up tonight don't come crying to me when he traps you in a sleeping bag and bludgeons you against a tree or puts you over a fire to roast to death or snaps your spin like a twig." He finished with a few deep breaths after his small outburst.

There was a long awkward pause after Will's little hysterical rant and mention of all the various ways the supposed Jason Vorhees would kill them.

"You done?" Coulson wondered and there was a bit of a pause.

Will sagged his shoulders a bit and almost gave a pout. "Yeah, I'm done."

"All right, let's go. We've got a job to do." Coulson said and they left to meet Tina, her mother, and her psychiatrist.

The SHIELD team drove through Crystal Lake until they arrived in a private sort of gated community. It wasn't really gated but more like a private section of houses sequestered on the Lake, with a mix of people who have lived in Crystal Lake for years or rich out of towners who had lake homes. You could likely tell which house belonged to which as some houses were larger and more furbished than others. The two SHIELD SUVS and Will's Aston Martin pulled up to a quaint two-story lake house where they would meet their Index target. The three cars parked at the house and got out where they saw another car parked and waiting outside was Tina's psychiatrist, Dr. Elias Crews.

"Check the perimeter. Make sure it's secure." Coulson told them before going to speak with Dr. Crews. While it wasn't normal Index procedure to have outsiders for an Index evaluation minus immediate family, Dr. Crews was Tina's psychiatrist for years and was there for her supposed telekinetic episode so the insight he had could help them with her.

The others got out of the car, and everyone was on mission. Ward got out and began walking the perimeter, heading west so Will would go east. He looked at the large bag in the passenger seat which had his guns but decided to leave it there for now. May stayed with the cars as Fitz-Simmons and Skye set up their mobile unit in the back of the one of the SUVs. Mobile scanners and a miniature lab that Simmons could use for their Index evaluation. It wasn't as high powered as what they had on the BUS, but it would let them deduce if Tina really did have powers.

Will took a walk around the east side perimeter of the house and there wasn't a lot there. Just the driveway, tool shed, and back porch that led to a small dock to the lake where a small motorboat was tied. He took a look around and saw nothing out of the ordinary. Even his telekinetic sense didn't pick up anything wrong around the house. He took a few steps out onto the dock and looked over at Crystal Lake, the supposed resting place of Jason Voorhees. When he used his telekinetic sense to check the area, he stretched that over the lake and didn't sense anything which was a good thing. It meant that Jason Voorhees wasn't still alive and lurking in the lake to spring up and start killing again but even still, just being here made his skin crawl. He actually got goosebumps which is a feeling he never thought he'd have after the Battle of New York because he thought nothing would ever scare him like that. Either his head was just messing with him or there really was something messed up with Crystal Lake.

"Will?" He actually jumped a bit in fright before he turned and saw it was only Skye. "You ok? You look a little spooked."

"Yeah, I'm fine." He cleared his throat and took a few deep breaths to calm himself down.

"Wow, the Jason Vorhees story really has you freaked, doesn't it?" Skye remarked almost in amusement at seeing the best member of the team looking unnerved. "Hey, it's ok, I get it. I did some digging, and it turns out you were right. He was real and so was his killing spree but there's no confirmation on his death. They never found a body but there were no more deaths or anything, so he's got to be dead, right? Why else would the killings stop unless he's dead?"

"Dead or not, something about this place makes my skin crawl…and after everything I've been through that never happens." Will stated. "Come on, let's get off this dock."

Skye and Will walked back to the house where the rest of the team was. Ward completed his perimeter walk and it was clear. The only thing worthy of note were some college kids next door having a party, likely having come for the weekend. A possible distraction but nothing serious of note and they wouldn't evacuate them unless the situation would require them to. Coulson was still speaking with Dr. Crews, likely trying to get a better understanding of Tina when they saw a small sedan pull up to the house. It was Tina and her mother, Amanda.

Will's first impression of Tina was a girl who had been through a lot and still grappling with the trauma of her past. Nothing new and exactly what he was expecting given her background but then he sensed something odd. At first, he thought it could just be his nerves again given where he was, but it wasn't and in fact it was coming from Tina, so he used his telepathy to do a little digging. Perhaps she was a psychic so he read her mind to see if he could find the source of her power. Perhaps she was a mutant, or she may have increased brain activity like he does but what was the source? He read her mind and began to sort through her memories, seeing her past trauma and the incident with her father. He was a ripe old jackass and alcoholic and Will wasn't going to be losing any sleep or crying tears over his death but the incident behind his death was odd.

Being in her mind and looking through her memories he was able to see the event like it happened when Tina was younger. She was on a small motorboat going out on the lake as her drunk father came out on the dock, berating her and yelling at her to come back. Tina was experiencing a variety of emotions, mainly fear of her father when he got like this but also anger at him for hurting her mother. That was plain to see, and he could sense that but that was really it. There was no intent or thought of killing her father running through her mind and no flare up from her mental state either. She was just scared which was fine but this was supposed to be the moment when her powers manifested for the first time, and she accidently killed her father but he wasn't sensing anything. That's when things got weird, and he got an overwhelming feeling of dread, terror, and pure evil like he had never felt before. He wasn't sure where it came from but one second it wasn't there and the next it was like a volcano erupted. He watched the memory play out and suddenly Tina was flooded with an influx of pure dark power that caused the dock to shake fiercely before collapsing, sending her father to his watery death. She wasn't controlling it or even summoned it. It was like it came out of nowhere and suddenly latched onto Tina's emotions and fed on them like a parasite while also making them stronger. He had no idea where this sudden influx of darkness came from and when he probed her mind for more info he was hit with a wave of pure terror and evil. His view of Tina's memories faded away like smoke and the last thing he saw was a terrifying zombie creature with a deformed face, tattered clothing, a chain wrapped around his neck and was wielding a large, bloody machete before it turned into some nightmarish demon monster. Orange skin, covered in spikes, claws with a giant mouth filled with razor sharp teeth and had the same deformed face as the zombie he just saw. (1)

"AHHH!"

Will grabbed the side of his head as he got a flare up of pain like a quick and sudden headache. Similar to what he experienced when he went telepath to telepath with the Frost triplets and then Emma Frost but this one felt different.

"Will!"

The shout of his name managed to bring him back to reality and he saw he was getting some odd looks from Skye, Coulson, and the others including Tina and her mother.

"Will, you ok?" Skye asked in concern.

"Yeah. Yeah, I'm fine. Just a migraine." Will shook his head and pinched the bridge of his nose before taking a few steps back to take a breather.

"Ms. Shephard why don't you and Tina go inside with Dr. Crews and get settled. Agent Ward, Agent Fitz, Agent Simmons, Skye, go inside and get everything set up." Coulson told them and they nodded. Amanda and her daughter walked into the house with the SHIELD agents. May stayed outside just to keep an eye on the perimeter and she wasn't needed at this point. With everyone else inside, Coulson went over to Will to see how he was doing. He hunched over his Aston Martin and pressed two fingers, his right index and middle finger against his forehead, using his powers to alleviate the headache he got. "So, how powerful is she?"

"I'm not sure it was her." He replied.

"What do you mean?" Coulson asked.

"I read her mind, looked through her memories and found the incident with her father. Something odd happened back then but I don't think Tina was the one responsible. She was there and involved in a way, but she definitely didn't kill him, and I don't think she's a regular psychic." Will answered. "Let me show you."

Will pressed two fingers to Coulson's head and showed him what he saw in Tina's memories, full demon and everything. It took all off two seconds and when it was over Coulson let out a sharp gasp and doubled over, feeling the rush and a headache. "Geez, that's a different experience."

"Yeah, you get used to it." Will touched his head again and used his powers to alleviate that pain. "But now you see what I meant by something odd."

"Yeah, I do." Coulson rubbed his eyes and tried to think of what he just saw. This was clearly not a normal Index Evaluation anymore.

"What the hell was that thing, Coulson? It infected Tina like a virus, feeding on all her raw negative emotions. It caused that dock to collapse and killed her father, but I have never seen that kind of thing before and I'm the guy who was recently the host to a primordial red glob of dark matter." Will pointed out. "If I didn't know any better, I'd say that thing looked like a demon. And when I say demon, I mean demon like demon from hell…or from Doom."

"The video game?" Coulson was confused.

"You've got a better example?" Will pointed out and Coulson relented. "What exactly are we dealing with here?"

"I honestly don't know but I agree with your assessment. Tina isn't doing this of her own volition, but she's connected to his somehow. I say we conduct the Index evaluation per protocol and keep a closer eye on Tina. See what happens and act accordingly. Perhaps whatever this thing is, this demon as you so put it, does something and we can stop it." Coulson suggested. "Do you think you could stop it?"

"How am I supposed to answer that when I've never faced a demon before?" Will stated and Coulson shrugged. "If that thing does attack…I'll do everything in my power to stop it."

"Knowing you that all the assurance I need." Coulson said before he and Will walked into the house when they stopped. "Why don't you use your powers from out here and observe? Maybe you can see something we can't."

Will nodded and went to his Aston Martin, getting into the driver's seat to act like he was going to rest his head while Coulson went inside. He even pressed a few buttons to tint the windows so no one could see in. Tony's modification to the car which Will was sure he meant for other discreet means, but it worked in this case. Will would be able to use his powers in his car and no one would see him do anything. The second he got comfortable he astral projected and moved into the house where he saw Tina, her mother, Dr. Crews, and the team.

"Do we really have to do this now and like this?" Tina asked. Her face had several nodes attached to it and a special cuff wrapped around her wrist all of which were tracking her vitals and relaying important data to the laptops and tablets Fitz-Simmons were monitoring. Tina seethed a bit as Simmons had taken a small blood sample and was using her mobile field kit to do some analysis.

"Sorry, Tina but it'll help us get a better understanding of what's going on." Agent Coulson told her. "How is it?"

"All sensors are coming in clean. We're ready to go." Fitz answered, pressing record on a camera they had set up in the room. They wanted Dr. Crews to begin his session with Tina like usual so they could hopefully pick up some things and since the two had a pre-existing relationship it might give them the best data.

"Why am I seeing things?" Tina asked.

"I don't know, Tina. Why do you think you're seeing things?" Dr. Crews asked her, but she just shrugged. "What exactly are you seeing?"

"The accident." Tina answered.

"And you're remembering everything from that night?" Dr. Crews questioned.

"Not exactly something you forget." Tina pointed out.

"What exactly do you see?" Coulson asked her.

"The accident. My dad's…" Tina muttered, finding that reliving the experience was hard for her. Fitz-Simmons watched the monitors as they relayed the information the nodes got from Tina. They picked up heightened brainwave activity which given the subject of the current conversation made sense.

"The first time you used your so-called powers. You haven't had any incidents like that until recently, correct?" Coulson asked and Tina nodded.

"That's when Dr. Crews called SHIELD." Tina's mother said.

"I'm still trying to figure out the cause of her powers and getting her to channel them with zero success." Dr. Crews explained.

"Thank you for your work, Dr. Crews but let us handle it from here." Coulson told him and the doctor was a little pissed about being kicked out of his experiment with his patient, but he couldn't do anything. Coulson, being Coulson, was a people person and his empathy was one of his best qualities. He was still apprehensive of Tina given what Will had told him, but he could also see she was a teenage girl going through a lot, so she needed help first and foremost. "Tina, I know that this is a lot to take in, but I promise that we are here to help you. What's happening to you right now, believe me, I have some experience with."

"I highly doubt that." Tina muttered.

"You sometimes feel like a stranger in your own body. When you think back on the memory your hands get clammy, your breath gets caught in your throat and your heart feels like it's gonna leap out of your chest or stop all together?" Coulson listed off and even though she didn't answer he could tell that he got it all in one. "I died during the Battle of New York. I was dead for 8 seconds but…it felt longer. SHIELD fixed me, got me better and I'm here but…I don't feel the same as before. Trauma, no matter what kind, can change you. The point of our scars are to remind us that there is no going back. There's only moving forward. I feel different, you feel different because we are different. But we can help. I promise."

Everyone was a bit stunned with Coulson's emotional heart pour. For Ward, Skye, and Fitz-Simmons, seeing their fearless leader be very vulnerable was rather surprising. He was being genuine and that meant a lot. Will, in his astral form, had made himself invisible to everyone so he could observe Tina. He heard Coulson's confession and he too understood what Coulson was going through. Trauma can change you for the better or for the worse. It just depends on who you have there for you and Coulson was the best person to have on your side. His confession did much to help get Tina to trust them a bit more.

"I was out on the lake on a small motorboat. I just wanted to get away and he came after me. I just wanted him to leave me alone…and the next thing I know the dock collapses and he drowns." Tina recounted. Her mother held her hand and comforted her as Coulson sat down next to her while the team monitored her vitals, and some interesting information came through.

"Tina, you were just a child. None of that was your fault." Coulson assured her. "What about the most recent event? What happened? At your own time."

"It was another session with Dr. Crews. We were doing some hypno-therapy to try and look into my past memories and trauma. He said it would help me." Tina started off.

"Reliving past trauma? No thank you." Skye muttered.

"Well, some psychologists believe that reliving your past trauma from an objective point of view could be a vital step in recovery in psychological harmony and growth." Simmons informed her when she noticed everyone looking at her. "Sorry, please continue."

"But this wasn't that. During the session I didn't think of what happened when I was a kid." Tina told them.

"What did you think of?" Coulson asked her.

"Me." Dr. Crews stated. "She was thinking of me and how much she wasn't liking our therapy session. I believe her psychokinetic ability is a projection of the suppressed guilt feelings that she has about her father's death."

"SHIELD has run a multitude of tests on the possibility of telepathy, telekinesis, and ESP-like abilities and none of them have proven the credibility of those powers being possible." Simmons pointed out. "Minus Aegis of the Avengers of course but in that circumstance another variable is in play that science has yet to quantify and likely won't given that we can't access his records."

"Well, I have an office full of thrown furniture and saw it myself, so it is true. Tina still can't control it though." Dr. Crews told them.

"Then we should start small." Coulson took out a small matchbook and placed it on the table in front of Tina. "Tina, just see if you can make this move."

"Is this really necessary?" She questioned.

"To fully understand what is happening with you, we need to know how your supposed ability works. The more we know the better we can understand it and then have a greater chance of helping you." Coulson explained. Tina wasn't exactly thrilled to be a lab rat but with a reassuring nod from her mother in the corner she tried. At first nothing seemed to happen even with her concentrating with all she had. Nothing psychic happened and Fitz-Simmons weren't picking up any odd signals or readings from Tina. Even Will who was in his invisible astral form observing the whole thing wasn't picking up any kind of telepathic or telekinetic energy from her and none of that demonic energy he felt before either.

A few hours later…

After several hours of tests ranging from simple to elaborate and complicated, they decided to take a break and give Tina a moment to rest. All the scans Fitz-Simmons had collected were inconclusive. They did pick up minor signals of energy but nothing that could be identified which was odd. Fitz-Simmons tried to find a match for the odd signal they recorded from Tina's brain, but they weren't able to say what it was. It's possible its tied to her supposed powers but even after hours of testing Tina never showed any kind of telekinetic abilities. No matter how hard she tried nothing happened. So far, they weren't able to find any kind of evidence that Tina was a psychic, and any other SHIELD team would have left at this moment, thinking that this was just a way for her therapist to gain some attention, but they weren't a regular SHIELD team. Coulson wanted them to do their due diligence and because he knew that Will sensed something, he wanted to find out exactly what. Luckily, they did catch a break as the complete analysis of the blood that Simmons took finally finished. The team were in the living room while Tina and her mother were in the kitchen. Dr. Crews went to take a call and Will had come in along with May to find out what was going on.

Skye got up from her chair and cracked her back, easing her stiff joints having sat for the past few hours. "I know my first Index evaluation wasn't exactly normal given that we were dealing with another possible psychic who just turned out to be a deeply troubled woman with a dimension teleporting stalking lover being the cause. If that was any indicator, then I'm gonna guess that the Tina girl isn't a psychic."

"I'm with Skye on this one, sir. I mean, surely we would have seen a sign of her supposed psychic powers by now or got some kind of reading on if she's really enhanced." Ward added.

"We did pick up some upticks in her brain activity. Specifically, her Delta and Theta waves and they're higher than a normal human." Fitz explained.

"Which is odd considering the Delta and Theta waves are mostly associated with the deep sleep cycle and low brain activity. If Tina was awake like she was and able to speak, move around and go through the tests we just put her through her normal delta and theta waves wouldn't be this high. Instead, her Gamma and Beta waves would be but they're at normal levels." Simmons added.

"But it's possible with certain levels this high that Tina is tapping into the Theta State. Essentially, putting her mind into a state where she can mentally disengage from certain tasks and let her mind enter into her unconscious-self or subconscious which would actually help with her therapy but that doesn't seem to be the case." Fitz finished.

"Could this increase in Theta wave activity be the possible cause for her powers?" May questioned.

"It's possible, but again nothing definitive and we saw nothing happen. It's possible that in this Theta state she has no control of her powers, if she does have them, and instead they act on her subconscious. If Dr. Crews is right that her supposed powers are a projection of her subconscious guilt it's possible that the episode she had, was her subconscious projecting its anger at him but again this is all theoretical. The data doesn't seem to suggest that these uptick in Theta and Delta waves are the cause of her powers if she actually has them." Simmons answered.

"What about her blood? Anything odd there?" Will asked.

"That I can answer but again I'm not sure what to make of it." Simmons brought up Tina's blood analysis which also ran a DNA scan as well. "Everything from Tina's blood appears to be fine. I even checked her DNA on the off chance she may be an alien but no, she's human. Everything appeared to be normal, but the analysis did detect a high concentration of a substance in her blood."

"High white cell count? Advanced nano-tech? Alien blood?" Skye listed off the possibilities.

"No, nothing like that." Simmons then showed them a display of her blood that had a high concentration of yellowish mineral. "It's sulfur."

That reveal caught everyone by surprise.

"Are you sure?" Coulson asked.

"I triple checked the results. She has a high concentration of sulfur in her bloodstream. Luckily, sulfur is low in toxicity to humans minus the respiratory issues one would have with sulfur dioxide or the digestive issues with too much consumption, but Tina has it in her blood. I've honestly never seen this kind of bloodwork before." Simmons said in both scientific astonishment and concern.

"Sir, what's going on?" Ward asked Coulson.

"I'll let you know when I find out." Coulson answered.

Line Break xxxxx

The afternoon turned to evening for the team and they were still in Crystal Lake for their Index evaluation. They were met with more questions and little to no answers for them. Will went out to get everyone dinner and arrived back at the lake house, pulling up in his car. He grabbed the takeout from the back and walked to the house when he saw Tina on the docks by the lake. "Tina, I got takeout. Your Sweet and Sour Pork. You ready to eat?" He asked but she didn't answer or even turn around. She just stared out at the lake, so he walked over. "Tina, you ok?"

He tapped her on the shoulder and turned her around which is when he saw the dead expression on her face as if she had zoned out only worse as her eyes were black. "Tina? Tina!" Will put the food down and tried to snap her out of whatever state she was in. He shook her but she was non-responsive, so he pressed to fingers to her head and tried to use his telepathy to wake her up or something and that's when things took a turn for the worse.

He entered her mind and saw that Tina was reliving the death of her father again and again only this time there was a powerful outpour of sadness, grief, fear and terror that definitely wasn't normal. It was like she was caught in a mind loop and was forced to relive her trauma by something. That's when he felt the pure feeling of terror, dread, and pure evil he felt before only a thousand times stronger. He saw everything turn dark and the demon thing he saw before reappeared only it was bigger and seemed stronger like it had fed on something. Will staggered a bit as the wave of negative emotions and pure evil poured against him like a tidal wave but he then raised a shield around him that blocked it. After what happened last time with the Aether, Will made sure his shield was as strong as possible to prevent something bad from happening but that's when he saw the demon wasn't interesting in him but rather Tina. He saw it was glowing with a dark red/black aura and seemed to be sucking energy from Tina which in turn made it bigger and stronger. Soon enough Tina vanished from the mental field and the demon was now giant. It let out a ferocious roar before exploding in a bright flash that knocked Will out of her mind.

"GAH!"

Will flew back and hit the dock hard as he was knocked back into his body while a dark shadow seeped out of Tina's body like smoke. Its form was gaseous and bellowed in the night air before collecting into the form of the same demon Will saw. As it emerged from Tina's body, she grew pale and when it was finally free, she collapsed to the ground in a near-dead state. The demon's eyes glowed red before flying away in its gaseous state.

Will groaned in pain from the sudden force of getting knocked back along with the headache he had from whatever that demon was and did. Luckily, he didn't feel any different but that was the least of his concerns as he saw Tina collapsed on the dock. He rushed over and saw the state she was in. Pale and looked like she had the life taken from her. He checked her pulse and barely felt one so he used his telekinetic sense and could feel that her body was basically shutting down. Her heart was slowing down as was her brain and Will knew that she was gonna die if he didn't so something, so he did so something. Focusing his molecular manipulation on a very precise level, he used his telekinesis to keep her heart beating and fused the damaged organ tissue together.

This was Will's newfound healing ability which was another benefit of his molecular manipulation boost. With physical trauma or disease, healing involves the repairing of damaged tissue, organs, and the biological system as a whole and resumption of normal functioning to put it scientifically. With Will's new power boost in his molecular manipulation, Bruce theorized he could adjust the molecules in a person and actual heal like them using his powers to physically move the cells of tissue or an organ and help it heal from the damage it suffered. Someone gets stabbed or shot with a bullet, Will could use his powers to move the tissue together and seal up the wound, essentially doing days or weeks of healing in a matter of minutes. Sounds perfect on paper and the ability was beyond useful but it's about as easy as it sounds. To put it into perspective, imagine playing the hardest version of the board game Operation possible, then multiply that by a factor of a hundred. With your dominant hand tied behind your back, tweezers that were cumbersome and too large, and the pegs and holes much smaller and that was the general gist of what it was like for Will to heal. Even the smallest mistake could result in him tearing tissue, so he needed his complete focus.

While he did that, the demon traveled over to the middle of the lake and dove straight down burrowing deep through the muddy bottom until it found what it was looking for which was a giant decayed human wearing the tattered remains of a blue jumpsuit, had a thick steel chain wrapped around its neck tied to a nearby boulder and wore a hockey mask on its face. The demon then possessed the dead body, enveloping it in a dark aura as the decayed body was slowly rejuvenated. Skin began to reform on the skeleton and the tattered remnants of the jumpsuit returned to a solid state. Its form got larger until it resembled a mountain of a man and no longer a decayed skeleton. The demon seeped into the body completely with the power it took from Tina fueling its revival and making it stronger than before. Soon enough the fingers on the figure's hand flexed out and grabbed ahold of the chain around its neck to the boulder and broke it off before erupting from the grave at the bottom of the lake and swimming to freedom. It broke through the surface of the lake with a fervor before it made its way to shore. Slowly rising from the water, the shine of the moon illuminated its visage. Standing at a tall 6ft7 with a large bodybuilder like frame of solid muscle stood the silent killer of Crystal Lake reborn. Jason Vorhees was back.

Long thought dead or the stuff of urban legend, everything Will has said about Jason Vorhees was true including his last known sighting. At first, Vorhees was nothing more than a man. A hulking man who hid his facial deformity with a burlap sack and then hockey mask, the silent killer stalked Crystal Lake looking for his next victims with a total kill count of over a hundred. Whether it was with his trusty machete, an axe, rope, or his bare hands he lived to kill and killed to live. But his death soon came at the hands of Tommy Jarvis, one of the rare survivors of Jason's killing spree at the hand of his own machete. His face repeatedly carved up until it was nothing but a mess and buried in a grave. His tormented soul went to hell but an evil that powerful wouldn't rest for long. The demon that revived Jason Vorhees actually was Jason Vorhees's own soul. He was now a revenant, the tortured soul of a human turned into a demon that was driven by only one thing: to kill. With each kill the revenant got stronger. The revenant brought Jason's original body back to life and he continued his killing until Tommy Jarvis stopped him yet again, sending him to the bottom of Crystal Lake where he was stuck. For years, he withered and decayed without the sweet release of death to keep him strong. He grew weak, but the revenant would not give up. Then its salvation came in the form of Tina Shephard, a trouble young girl whose powerful but tormented emotions had called out to him and so Jason possessed her and murdered her father to further push Tina down a path of torment. Like a parasite, he grew strong as he fed on Tina's emotions and protected her until he was ready. And that day came. The revenant took everything from Tina and returned to its home, reviving Jason back stronger than before.

And now…it was time to kill…kill for mommy.

The crunch of leaves and twigs along with the chittering of the woodland creatures was all that was heard as Jason Vorhees never uttered a word. A silent killer, through and through and he began seeking out his first victim and would soon find it.

Coulson and the team were in the lake house with Tina's mother and Dr. Crews. Their computers were still running some tests on Tina's blood to hopefully find an explanation with them also sending a sample of everything they had to SHIELD headquarters in the hopes that it might speed up the process. "Where's Will with the takeout? I'm starving." Skye remarked.

"He should be back soon. With his car, getting to and from a Chinese Restaurant shouldn't be that hard." Coulson assured him.

"COULSON!"

They heard the shouting, so Coulson, May and Ward were quick to get up and rush outside. "Something tells me this is going to be a long night." Skye muttered.

An hour later…

Will, Coulson and the others had arrived at the local county hospital which was luckily within driving distance of Crystal Lake. The doctors along with Simmons were looking after Tina and doing their best to care for her. Will's shout at the lake house brought Coulson and the others outside where they saw Tina on the ground. He informed them of what he saw, the general parts anyway, of finding Tina out on the docks in a trance before she collapsed. He withheld the mental vision, the demon he saw and him healing Tina as best he could but told Coulson when they had a moment alone. Both were now concerned with what happened. The doctors were quick to get her on IV fluids and began running a series of tests, but Tina seemed to go into a coma-like state. She had a steady pulse and was breathing on her own which was a good sign so the doctors couldn't do much but keep her stable and wait.

The rest of the team were in the waiting area in the ER, munching on the takeout that Will had gotten. They found it near Tina's body and when they went to the hospital, Will ended up bringing it with him not even realizing that he did that, but they couldn't do anything but wait so might as well eat. Will finished his shrimp Lo Mein, Kun Pao chicken and his dumplings despite Skye stealing some of his. He threw everything away in the trash and got some sodas from the vending machine before walking back to the lounge and handing them to Skye, Ward, and Fitz when they heard the clack of shoes and out came Simmons from around the corner. "Tina's awake."

They gathered in her room and was glad that Tina was fine. The doctors informed them that Tina's body has been through a lot. She just needed some rest, and she would be ok. The doctors weren't sure of the cause, but their tests indicated that her body had lost a lot of its energy, however that happened so she just needed to rest to regain her strength. Tina felt better, emotionally, after waking up like a large cloud or weight had been lifted but she didn't remember much. She went outside for some air and walked out onto the dock, remembering what happened to her father and then it all went dark after that, but she could have sworn one of the last things that went through her mind was seeing some man emerge from the lake.

Will and Coulson walked out into the hallway to speak in private because the two needed to speak. "So, you saw the demon again?" Coulson asked.

"Yeah. When Tina was in her trance, I entered her mind and saw her experiencing her father's death repeatedly like she was caught in a loop. I tried to help her, but the demon appeared only this time it was bigger and stronger." Will answered, looking unsettled by what he's seen.

"Like it was feeding on her?" Coulson suggested and got a nod in response. "I managed to do some research and I think I may know what we're dealing with. A revenant, a tortured human soul with only one instinct… to kill. Revenants are capable of leeching off the energy of living people to make their host bodies stronger. Maybe that's what the revenant did to her."

There was a bit of an awkward pause as Coulson noticed the confused look Will on his face. "That…actually makes sense but how do you know that? A revenant? What is there some kind secret demon file SHIELD has that I don't know about?"

"With your clearance level you have access to the files, but you likely haven't spent actual time going through SHIELD expansive database to find it." Coulson pointed out and Will was going to retort but stopped himself. Coulson had a point both on the large expanse of files SHIELD had and in Will's…let's call it impatience with surfing through SHIELD's database. "It's not something we really advertise, and only high-level agents know of it. Aliens, advanced weapons, mutants, enhanced people, superheroes are one thing but the supernatural is another. We've even got our own secret department for that and it's how we deal with these kinds of threats."

"Ok, so how do we kill this supposed revenant? Silver stake? Holy water? A crucifix?" Will asked.

"It varies depending on the strength of the revenant, but Holy Water is a good start." Coulson said as the two saw the sign for the small church located in the hospital.

"That takes care of the holy water now the question is if the revenant is no longer in Tina, where the hell did it go?" Will questioned, making a good point. If everything Will saw was true, then the revenant left Tina's body so where did it go and who did it possess now?

"Incoming! We need a stretcher stat!" They heard from the ER lobby, so they walked over and saw paramedics rush in a critically injured woman. She was bleeding profusely from the stomach and was in bad shape.

"What happened?" An ER doctor rushed over and ran through a quick assessment as the paramedics were busy on stabilizing her.

"Woman, mid-20s suffering severe mid-section trauma and lost a lot of blood. She's been in and out of consciousness the past ten minutes. Found by a disabled car on the road that goes to the Interstate with another victim. Male, mid-20s deceased. Officers are already there securing the scene." The lead paramedic explained.

"All right, this woman has lost a lot of blood and her pulse is getting weak. We need to get her into surgery now!" The doctor, nurses and paramedics rushed her past everyone to an operating room as Will and Coulson watched her pass by.

"I think I have a good idea on where our revenant just went." Will remarked.

"Probably found a new host. Go with May and track it down." Coulson told him. Will went to get May and they left as soon as possible, unaware that their night was going to be bloody. As the patient was wheeled into surgery, she kept repeating two words before she passed out.

"He's back…he's back…"

Line Break xxxxx

Will's Aston Martin drove through Crystal Lake, its headlights lighting up the dark night as it drove down the two-lane asphalt road that leads to the Interstate. The paramedic at the hospital said that's where they found the victim and there was another one there, already deceased. It was a stretch but might be their best lead on the revenant's location so Will and May were sent out to see if they could pick up a trail.

The Aston Martin slowed down to a stop allowing Will and May to get out of the car. Will was wearing his SHIELD tactical gear while May was wearing her usual outfit. He went to the trunk and took out his modified TDI/KRISS Vector-.45ACP submachine gun and hooked the strap over his left shoulder before slinging his modified Remington 879 MSC Master key 12-gauge compact shotgun onto the sling holster on his right shoulder for quick draw and of course he has his HK pistol strapped to his thigh and his spare Glock 17 on his ankle holster. May kept it simple and just had a Glock 17 strapped to her thigh. The reason the two got out of the car was because of the unfortunate scene they came upon. There was a silver Jetta on the side of the road, like it had been parked there after breaking down and next to it was a police car and another paramedic truck. That wasn't the unfortunate part. The unfortunate part was the bodies they saw lying around on the scene. A man smashed through the front windshield of the silver Jetta, one police officer with his head smashed into the road, another officer smashed into the roof of the police cruiser, and two paramedics both of whom were bloody smears on the ground.

Will kept his submachine gun up and moved forward, checking the area and other then the bodies there was no sign of anyone around. May joined him, her pistol out as she checked the officers, but they were all dead. One had his head smashed into goo on the road while another suffered a broken neck and likely broken spine from being smashed into the roof of the police car. Will checked the paramedics. One had a large hole in his chest while the other had been strangled by his radio cable. "Holy hell, what killed these people?" Will muttered.

"Whoever it is, they went that way." May found some large footprints on the side of the road leading right to town. Whatever this thing was must have taken a shortcut through the woods.

"Call Coulson. Have him get Fitz to send up some drones and search the town starting from this point." Will said and May nodded, making a quick call to relay what they found and to get Fitz to send out the drones. With that out of the way they turned on their flashlights and proceeded to follow the tracks into the woods despite every horror movie telling them it was a stupid idea.

It was slow going since they had to follow the tracks and keep an eye out for any clues which they didn't find but they discover another body. Another man, likely out getting firewood as there were a bundle of logs next to him but killed by whatever they were tracking since his manner of death was just as brutal as the others. He had a large hole through his back and his head had been pulled back, nearly ripped off the body with the only thing keeping it attached was a small sliver of skin.

"Egh, I probably shouldn't have eaten all that food." Will muttered, keeping his cool and trying not to throw up. He had seen some terrible things, but this was brutal. He looked over at May and while she kept her usual stoic expression the subtle twitches indicated that she was disturbed by the brutality of the deaths and the sheer strength of whoever was responsible. "You ever see anything like this?"

"Never. Has to be an enhanced but what is it doing out here?" May asked and Will realized that she has similar clearance levels to Coulson so she would know about the supernatural part of the world.

"Coulson thinks that what brought us here, the Index evaluation wasn't a psychic and I'm liable to agree. We think it's a revenant." He told her.

"Great, just what we need. I don't suppose he told you how we fight this thing?" May wondered and she saw him take out a drinking flash.

"Holy water…" Will shook it when he was suddenly hit with a brilliant idea. "Holy water bullets?"

May smirked and the duo took a moment to coat some of their bullets in holy water before continuing.

"AHHHHHHHH!"

The duo rushed further into the woods, following the ear-piercing scream in the distance. They eventually arrived at a lake house and saw the aftermath of a massacre. The side of a wooden shed had a large human sized hole busted through with a college-age girl laying on the ground, a massive gash wound on her stomach made from what looked like a hook. There were two more bodies by the van parked in the driveway similar in age to the girl by the woodshed. The male victim had his head crushed while the female victim had a large branch shoved her through her brain. The trail of bodies led to the house where they saw the open back door and muddy shoe prints. Will reached into his pocket and pressed a button on his smartphone before signaling to May. She nodded and the two stacked up at one of the windows. Will peaked in and saw the aftermath of a party, likely college kids coming for the weekend, but the lights were out and there was no sign of bodies.

"You go through the back. I'll take the front." May told him.

"Wait, maybe we should stick together!" He whispered but May already rushed around the side of the house. "Seriously? You never split up. Has she never seen a horror movie?"

Will shook his head and entered the house through the open back door, turning on the flashlight attached to his submachine gun as he slowly made his way through the kitchen/dining room. He slowly opened the door to the living room and that's where he saw a body sitting on the couch, but the guy's head was on the floor. Will checked the corners and didn't see anyone, grimacing at the sight of the dead kid as he tapped his earcom. "Coulson, you there?"

"Yeah, I'm here. What's the situation?"

"Radio SHIELD about backup and containment. We've got bodies. College kids." Will reported, not exactly happy to be reporting that and judging by the sigh he heard Coulson wasn't happy to hear it.

"Roger that. Fitz has the drones closing in on your location. Any sign of the revenant?"

"No but he's definitely been through here." Will said when he saw the lights flicker on and begin to fritz out. On top of that he got the mother of all danger sense warning go off in his head. As the lights flickered above him, Jason Voorhees appeared behind him and raised his machete up but Will quicky dove to the side and avoided his machete swing. As he slid on the ground Will unloaded the entire magazine of his KRISS Vector submachine gun, riddling his attacker with bullets from the legs up to the stomach and chest. While he did that May kicked in the front door and fired her entire Glock 17 magazine, hitting him in the chest and head. When both their magazines ran dry the attacker slumped back and fell to the ground.

"Clear!" May shouted, walking in and quickly reloaded her pistol as Will stood up and reloaded his submachine.

"Clear." He shouted, walking forward and looking at who attacked him, and he couldn't believe it. "No fucking way…"

"Tell me I'm not seeing that." May remarked as she didn't want to belief who this might be.

"If you're seeing it, I'm seeing it too. Jason fucking Voorhees." Will muttered, seeing the giant hockey mask wearing serial killer right there on the ground. The terror of Crystal Lake right there in front of their eyes. The man who had killed so many was alive and had come back for more but was now dead. Just to make sure, Will fired another magazine of bullets into Jason's body, especially his head and destroyed his hockey mask and face. When he was done it was basically a pile of mush. He reloaded his gun and saw the weird look he got from May. "Just to make sure."

"That's not really him, is it?" May asked in disbelief.

"We're dealing with a revenant so I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that the revenant is Jason Voorhees. Actually, makes a lot of things about him make sense. At least it's over." Will took out his pistol and fired a few more bullets just to be safe before he tapped his earcomm. "Coulson, we got it."

"Thank god. At least this is over."

"Yeah, and you're not gonna believe…" Will trailed off when the lights flickered again followed by the odd chill that suddenly ran down both their spines. Then to his and May's disbelief they saw a black smoke seep out of Jason's body, pushing out all the bullets he was hit with and encasing him like a cocoon before he suddenly vanished. "What the hell?"

"Will? Will, you there?

"Hang on a second, Coulson. We may have a situation." May radioed him as the two held up their weapons.

"May, what's going on?"

[Glass and wood shattering]

Jason broke through the side window from outside and grabbed Will by the back before pulling him out of the house and throwing him outside where he hit the side of the parked van in the driveway. Will groaned in pain as he hit the vehicle hard and saw Jason was back on his feet and completely healed of any damage he had just taken. No bullet wounds, his head wasn't mush and his hockey mask was like brand new. Jason held up Will's submachine gun and broke it into half before tossing it aside and walking forward. Will got up and quickly dodged Jason's punch which tore through the side of the van. He kneed Jason in the groin and then elbowed him in the side of the face before taking the knife from his belt and stabbing him in the neck. Jason just turned his head towards Will and sent him flying with a powerful backhand.

He rolled around on the pebble stone laced driveway before landing on his back where he quickly pulled out his shotgun and fired a 12-gauge slug into Jason's chest. The force caused him to stagger allowing Will to get up and pump the handle, freeing the spent shell and firing another. He fired the four remaining shotgun shells and Jason hunched over before standing straight up to show the same black smoke from before healing his injuries in an instant. He raised his index finger at Will and shook it back and forth tauntingly before walking towards him.

"Hey!"

Jason turned as May charged at him, firing several bullets at Jason which did nothing as they hit his chest. When she got close, he reached out to grab her, but she rolled forward and shot out the back of his knees. He fell forward and May then quickly drove her knife through the top of his head. She kicked his body to the ground and saw a wood chopping axe next to a nearby pile of firewood, so she picked it up and cleaved his head off his body.

May dropped the axe to the side and walked over to Will. Both of them were hopeful it was over but then to their horror they saw Jason's body begin to move. May's usual stoic visage actually broke this time, and she displayed real emotion for once, only in this instance it was astonishment and fear. Jason's hands reached out and grabbed his dismembered head and placed it back onto his neck where the black smoke reconnected the severed part like it never happened. Jason stood up, pulled out the knife from his head and his neck and picked up the fire axe fully intent on using it to carve up his next two victims.

[Roar of a car engine]

"Move!" Will and May jumped to the side as Will's Aston Martin drove straight at Jason. It ran into him and sent him flying into the van. No one drove the car as it had a self-drive function that automatically made it drive to Will's exact location which he activated before he and May entered the house. Will got up and quickly went to the trunk as Jason pulled himself out of the wreckage completely fine. "Eat this, asshole!"

Will held up a Milkor 40mm Grenade Launcher and aimed it at Jason who just tilted his head to the side in confusion. Will fired the first grenade and the moment it hit Jason it exploded, sending his burning carcass into the van. Will then fired another grenade and the van exploded with Jason's body in it. The force of the grenade sent the van crashing into the dock next to a parked boat, but Will didn't stop and fired the remaining four rounds from his grenade launcher until the van, the boat, the dock and pretty much everything in its immediate vicinity was a burning wreck.

Will opened up the grenade launcher and emptied the shells as May walked over to him. Both watched the van/boat wreck burn the dock and sink into the lake, taking a moment to relax a bit. They heard the buzz of rotor wings and saw a SHIELD drone hover down to them.

"I see them, sir. They're all right." Fitz said, coming over the radio.

"Will! May! You two ok?" Coulson radioed.

"Ask me that tomorrow, Coulson." May told him.

"Make that double for me." Will remarked as May looked at the grenade launcher he was holding. "I don't sound as crazy now as I did then, do I?"

"No, you don't." May replied, glad she was proven wrong for once when they both heard the creaking groan of metal being bent. "That's not good."

"Oh, you've got to be shitting me…" Will muttered as they and the drone saw a hand burst through the wreckage.

"What in the hell is that?" Fitz asked.

"Nothing good. Will, May regroup with us at the hospital. We need a new plan." Coulson told him.

"Roger that." Will and May quickly got in his car. His eyes flared blue as he used his powers to rip Jason's body apart with his telekinesis. Given what Jason's been able to live through so far, he didn't think it killed him but it may have bought them some time. Once they were in the car, he drove them the hell out of there.

Black whisps of smoke bellowed out from Jason's various body parts that were scattered and connected them together before pulling close. The limbs were fused back together and soon enough Jason pulled himself out of the burning wreckage and walked back onto the shore. Parts of his body were still mangled from the grenades including one of his arms and both his legs. There was flesh torn from his chest and back, showing his rib cage and spine while his mask had been completely blown off. His deformed face looked around for his attackers only they were gone but he did see tire tracks heading east. The same black smoke from before seeped out of Jason's body and began repairing the extensive damage done to him such as his legs and arms. Jason's healing factor is what made him so deadly as he was able to heal from pretty much any kind of life-threatening wounds made from guns, knives, and such but the source of that was because he was a revenant. The more he killed the stronger he got, and it was with the power of all those deaths that allowed him to be as strong and deadly as he is but also heal his body from any kind of fatal wound like having his head chopped off or being blown to bits. The more grievous the wound he had to heal to keep his physical body whole the more it taxed him. With the four near deaths his body suffered, Jason's revenant had used nearly all the power it had taken from its recent killing spree. He knew those two people were a threat to his return, so they needed to die. Black smoke enveloped his form and his eyes glowed red before he teleported away.

At the hospital…

Will drove like a maniac back to the hospital where they quickly gathered in the parking lot near their SHIELD vans to talk in private. Simmons wanted them to go into the hospital but the most Will and May had were bruises. The bigger issue right now was their Revenant, Jason Voorhees and the fact that he was for all intents and purposes an immortal serial killer. When Will and May told them what they had just been through, what happened plus more importantly, what didn't work on Jason there was a long pause and palpable tension in the air.

"He's got to be some kind of enhanced, right? That's all this is." Fitz postulated.

"Fitz is right. Just someone with a varied list of powers that allowed him to do what you saw. Someone who can control black smoke and has enhanced durability, an accelerated healing factor, super strength, and such. We've seen the Avengers do as much." Simmons added.

"Exactly. Clearly this is just a new enhanced individual that SHIELD has never encountered. Someone incredibly powerful but I'm sure that we can handle this." Fitz said.

"Correct. We collect more data and we handle this scientifically. No reason for us to descend into the dark ages and assume this is the work of the supernatural which is absolutely absurd."

"Completely."

"Totally."

"Categorially."

The doctor/engineer duo ranted on while everyone just looked at them in disbelief. "You really believe that?" Skye asked them as she was already willing to believe Will's claims after seeing May claim the same thing.

"I mean what else could it be? There's no such thing as the supernatural, Skye. Just like with the Asgardians who aren't gods but aliens, this is just something we do not yet understand." Simmons assured her.

Will glanced over at Coulson. "You want to tell them the truth, or can I?"

"Go ahead." Coulson told him.

"Fitz-Simmons, now normally I would let you two live in your bubbles of complete scientific ignorance. However, considering the situation I think just ripping the Band-Aid off is the better idea." Will remarked.

"Oh, please Will. You can't seriously believe in the supernatural. Someone who has seen as many things as you have must understand that there is a scientific explanation to everything. The words like magic and supernatural were just used by people to label things they didn't understand which I can assure you that modern science has been able to debunk nearly all of them. The phenomena of things such as déjà vu, fortune tellers, and supposed hauntings have all been explained as nothing more than old folklore." Simmons pointed out.

"Even vampires have been explained away as people having nothing more than a simple genetic disease that results in unfortunate changes in their body and behavior that people centuries ago labelled under the term of vampire." Fitz added. "This guy just happens to have abilities that make him seem monstrous like they do."

"Wait, vampires are real?" A surprised Skye asked aloud.

"Another time." Coulson told her.

"I hate to tell you both, Fitz-Simmons but the supernatural is in fact real. SHIELD even has an entire department devoted to it." Will remarked and Coulson handed them a data pad that showed them restricted files that SHIELD had on the supernatural. Demons, ghosts, magic, and the like. "Hate to burst your bubble but if it's any consolation Bigfoot is still a hoax and I'm pretty sure the Easter Bunny isn't real. Neither is Santa."

"This…this…this can't be possible." Simmons scrolled through the files on the thing they were now dealing with. A Revenant. Fitz stared at the information in disbelief while Skye and Ward looked at the data and both couldn't believe it. "This Revenant…it's just something that our scientists haven't complete analyzed yet. That's all. Yes, that has to be it."

"She's right. I mean, a Revenant. A tortured human soul? That's preposterous." Fitz scoffed.

"This is…this is the part where you say ha-ha, got you. Practical joke. SHIELD's funnier than I thought, right guys?" Skye chuckled but saw Will, Coulson, and May were as stoic as ever. "Come on, guys you can say it. We get it. Go on, Ward. Tell them."

Ward ignored Skye as he looked away from the new information. "Sir, why weren't we told about this before?"

"The information is need to know and we had no idea we were dealing with a Revenant until Tina collapsed and we brought her to the hospital. With everything we've experienced so far with her behavior, her supposed psychic powers and her sudden collapse, it all began to connect. Tina was never enhanced but the host for the Revenant. Over time it used her body like a parasite, growing stronger and when it was ready it drained her body of nearly everything and went home." Coulson explained.

"Which in this case just happened to be the serial killer of Crystal Lake. What should be a moldy pile of bones at the bottom of the lake is now walking around better than ever with the strength of the Hulk." Will pointed out.

"And considering how he survived everything we threw at him including both decapitation and getting blown to bits I'm willing to believe in the supernatural here." May added.

"This just doesn't make any sense." Simmons stated.

"It makes perfect sense to me." Will said getting both scientists attention. "When you consider it's supernatural origins."

"That isn't helping us accept this." Fitz almost grumbled.

"Not everything can be explained by science you guys. When you run out of all plausible explanations whatever remains, however crazy sounded is the only option. The sooner you learn to accept that the sooner we can focus on how to kill this thing." Will stated.

"Jason Vorhees isn't the first Revenant SHIELD has tackled but he's looking to be the strongest. The other ones SHIELD has dealt with haven't shown the kind of strength and regeneration that Jason does." Coulson added.

"Considering how it took all the bullets we soaked in holy water then we need a new approach—" May stopped mid-sentence as she felt an eerie chill run down her spine. Everyone did and it was like the temperature dropped ten degrees around them. Skye even breathed out and they saw the condensed water vapor form in the air. The parking lot lights and even some in the hospital began to flicker like something was wrong with a circuit.

"Oh, crap." Will muttered, realizing that these signs weren't good.

"That can't be good." Coulson added.

"It's October and the weather gets cold. And some hospitals have bad wiring. That's it…that's all this is. It has to be…" Simmons stated with complete confidence and not at all trying to cover her own fear and possible mental break down with what was happening.

"AAAHHHHHHHH!"

And just like that…they realized just how screwed they were.

"Shit!" Will pushed Fitz, Simmons, and Skye over to the van and opened up the back. "Fitz, Simmons, Skye you three stay here. Skye, hack into the CCTV cameras and bring up the blueprints of the hospital. The second you find his location let us know and if you hear anything that sounds like us getting killed then get the hell out of her and call for backup."

"Wait, what about you guys?!" Skye asked only for Will to shut the van and walk over to his trunk to get guns.

"That's not really him in there, is it?" Ward asked catching the Bernelli M4 Super 90 shotgun and a bandolier of 12-guage shotgun shells.

"We're about to find out." May said, taking the Kel-Tec KSG pump-action shotgun Will handed her and a bandolier of shotgun shells. He then handed Coulson a DP-12 pump-action shotgun and a bandolier of shotgun shells.

"We need to evacuate the building. The people in there are sitting ducks." Coulson stated.

"So, we give him a new target. Get him to chase us." Will put on a bandolier of shotgun shells and slung the wrap of a Franchi SPAS-12 shotgun on his back.

"That's your brilliant plan?" May asked.

"No, that's my dicey as fuck plan but something tells me he'll focus on us more than doctors and nurses. We get him to chase us and get the hell away from civilians." Will told them. "Shotguns are our best bet. Mine staggered him a bit so hit him in the leg, arm or head to keep him back."

"Right." Coulson nodded before turning his head. "May you're with me, we'll clear and secure the lobby. Will and Ward will go find him. The second you see him get him to chase you and come back down through the ER and we'll be waiting. Evacuate any civilians you see on the way."

"Got it. Let's move!" Will shouted and they rushed into the hospital. May and Coulson took control of the lobby, instructing the police officers to call for backup and to get all the nurses and civilians to safety while Will and Ward began making their way to find Jason. Skye finished hacking into the interior hospital cameras and brought up blueprints, so they knew where they were looking and how to direct Will and Ward. Lucky that most hospitals had cameras inside in all the major hallways, so they had eyes inside.

Skye, Fitz, and Simmons were able to see what was going on in the hospital and it was a madhouse on the 5th floor. They could see Jason Voorhees with their own eyes in his massive hulking frame and the hockey mask on his face. He was wielding a machete and currently cutting his way through some doctors and nurses. Two police officers were shooting at him, but their bullets did nothing. Jason tossed aside a doctor's dead body and marched up to the police officers. One kept shooting at him while another reloaded his gun. Jason raised his machete and cut off the arm of one of the officers and then beheaded him. The other officer raised his gun and fired his entire pistol's magazine into his head but Jason just grabbed him by the neck and threw him into the ceiling. When the officer's body fell down Jason held out his machete to impale him.

"Oh, god…" Fitz covered his mouth and gagged, quickly turning his head to keep himself from throwing up.

"He is a monster…" Skye muttered.

"Enhanced. That's all he is, he's enhanced. He's not a demon." Simmons stuttered out, clinging to her scientific belief for as long as possible.

"Cut the chatter unless you have something to say. Skye, where is he?" Will asked.

"5th floor at the Radiology reception area." Skye reported and checked the hospital blueprints against his location and where Will and Ward were. "Take the east stairwell and then it's just two hallways down."

"Roger that." Ward replied as he and Will rushed up the stairs as fast as they could. Skye monitored the camera feed and Jason had dumped the dead officer's body on the floor after pushing it off his machete. Will and Ward were in a rush managing to make it up to the fifth floor fast. They entered the hallway where they saw nurses, doctors, and patients cowered behind doors or corners. They motioned them to stay quiet and take the stairs down to the ground floor which they did. Will and Ward moved together down the hallways, sending everyone they saw away.

"He's down the next hallway…" Skye told them when she saw Jason turn his head around. That's when the camera's started to glitch and fizz out, distorting the image and while it was only temporary, Jason was gone when the imagery cleared. "What the!? He's gone!"

"Skye, talk to me. What's going on?" Ward asked her.

"I don't know what happened. The camera glitched for a moment but he's gone. He's no longer in the Radiology center." Skye told them while checking the other cameras trying to find him.

"Then where the hell did he go?" Will asked, keeping his shotgun up as they turned the corner. They passed a room and a nurse saw them, so she came out of hiding.

"Please help me!"

"Get downstairs! To the stairwell!" Will told her when the lights flickered.

"AHH—GAK!"

The nurse screamed as something grabbed her head from behind before a machete was thrusted through her back. Will and Ward saw Jason suddenly appear behind the nurse and kill her with his machete before throwing her body to the ground. Will and Ward unloaded their shotguns at Jason, shooting out both his legs so he fell to the ground and firing a few more shots into his chest. Jason laid there on the ground as the two reloaded their weapons.

"We get him to follow us to the west stairwell." Will told him when they saw black smoke bellow out of Jason's body where it quickly reattached his legs and healed the wounds the shotgun blasts made.

Jason slowly raised his head and looked at the two with hidden bloodlust. Will and Ward fired a few more shots that caused him to stagger and even shot his legs but unlike before it didn't do as much damage. Jason marched forward and swung his machete forcing Will and Ward to separate. Ward raised his gun to Jason's head, but it was knocked aside. Will raised his but Jason kicked a gurney at him. He rolled over it as Ward took out his pistol, but Jason knocked it out of his hand and then grabbed for him. Ward managed to move to the side and take out his knife, stabbing Jason in the left knee but it did nothing as Jason just looked at him before kneeing him in the face. The force knocked Ward onto his back as Will raised his shotgun and fired all 8 rounds into Jason's back. The impacts jostled him forward a bit but the instant the shells hit him they immediately began to heal. Jason turned around and was immediately hit across the face with the butt of Will's shotgun. Will quickly loaded a shotgun shell and fired a round into Jason's face. The impact blew half his face off and staggered him back a bit giving Will a chance to reload a few more shotgun shells. He looked over at Ward and pointed to one of the hospital room that had a window that overlooked the front of hospital where the parking lot was. He then pointed to a nearby dolly of gas cannisters, and the plan began to click for Ward. Given their current situation getting Jason to follow them down the stairwell would probably get them killed so it was time to try the express way. Ward gave him an affirmative nod and Will took a few steps away from him to lead Jason away.

"Hey, Jason! Is that all you got?!" Will shouted and shot him in the chest to get his attention. "I grew up hearing about what a monster you are but so far, I'm unimpressed! Come on, momma's boy!"

Will fired several more shots as Jason marched forward to slice him in two or wrap his intestines around his neck. Will quickly ducked a machete swing to the head and hit Jason in the stomach with the buttstock before quickly sidestepping a cut. Jason swung down, cleaving his machete into the floor and getting it caught so he tried to pull it free. Will bashed him across the head with the shotgun and dodged his grab before grabbing his free arm. He kicked the machete away and then heaved Jason to the ground with a hip sweep throw. Jason hit the ground like with a loud thud as Will quickly raise his shotgun, but Jason grabbed the barrel and bent it upward. He then yanked it out of Will's hand only for Will to throw a leg kick at Jason's head, but Jason grabbed his leg. He then heaved Will through the air where he crashed through a wall into one of the hospital rooms.

"[Groans] This was a stupid idea…" Will pushed off the plaster and wall debris before taking out both his pistols and unloading everything at Jason. The silent killer just marched forward completely undeterred by the bullets he was being hit with as he marched towards Will, breaking the destroyed wall he tossed him through and ready to tear his head off. The second Will's both pistols were empty he tossed them aside and then rolled to the side to avoid a powerful stomp and kicked out Jason's left leg. Jason stumbled and dropped to a knee so Will threw out another kick, but Jason grabbed his leg and slowly turned his head to look at him. "Oh shit."

Jason then heaved Will up into the ceiling with brute force, destroying some lights and roof tiles. Will hit the ground face first but didn't get a moment of reprieve as Jason grabbed his vest and then slammed him up against a wall where he began to choke the life out of him. Acting quickly, Will's eyes glowed blue and he ripped Jason's arms off him with his telekinesis leaving the killer with bloody stumps and a confused head tilt. Will then quickly got to the side and dropkicked Jason into the path of the window. "WARD!"

Jason turned around and saw Ward by the doorway. He pushed in the dolly holding the gas cannisters and aimed his shotgun at it while Will made a run for it through the hole in the wall. Jason looked at them as Ward shot the gas cannisters, igniting them in bright flash of light and large explosion that completely destroyed the hospital room, blew out the window and sent the masked serial killer flying out the hospital and careening down to the parking lot where he crashed into a parked ambulance.

The nearby civilians who were already running momentarily stopped after what happened, but Coulson and May ushered them away. They raised their shotguns at the crushed ambulance and slowly marched forward, their fingers ready on the triggers but when they got close enough, they didn't see any sign of a body inside.

Skye, whose curiosity got the better of her and thought it was over, got out of the van. "Is he dead?!"

"Skye, get back in the van!" Coulson ordered.

"COULSON BEHIND YOU!" She shouted back.

Coulson turned around but Jason grabbed the front of his shotgun, so he pulled the trigger, blowing off part of his hand but that didn't deter Jason who just grabbed it with his other hand and pulled him close. He headbutted Coulson in the face which meant he got the full brunt of the mask and was thrown across the parking lot until he hit the SHIELD van. "Coulson!" Skye rushed to his side with Fitz-Simmons getting out of the van to help him.

May fired her shotgun as fast as possible but Jason healed as fast as she shot him, so he managed to get close. He ripped the gun from her and raised it up to hit her with it when he was suddenly knocked back by a bullet. May turned and saw Coulson with the Night-Night sniper rifle while Skye had the Night-Night pistol. The two fired everything the guns had at Jason, and they could see him stumble back. Clearly the dendrotoxin was impacting him as he was getting pushed back until Skye and Coulson ran out of ammo. They panicked a bit but then saw Jason slowly tip and fall onto his back. There was a bit of an awkward silence as they weren't sure if he was going to suddenly wake up and charge. Fitz scrambled into the van and retrieved more ammo for the Night-Night guns. Coulson and Skye reloaded as May slowly walked over with her shotgun. When she was close enough, she tapped him with her foot, but he didn't move, and she saw through his mask that his eyes were closed.

They heard some footsteps and saw Will and Ward rush out of the hospital. Will was a little bruised and bloody, but he would live and was carrying Jason's machete, ready to use it if he had to. "What happened?" Ward asked as Will kicked him in the side, but he didn't budge.

"What the hell took him down?" Will wondered.

"Science." Simmons stated, having a huge smile on her face. "Yes! Take that! All your supernatural talk! Science has just saved our lives and stopped the so-called invincible and immortal Jason Voorhees! I knew it! Science trumps the supernatural any day."

"Is he really down?" Fitz asked so Will decided to test that. He managed to recover his pistols when he and Ward rushed down, so he reloaded his HK pistol and fired a few bullets into Jason's chest.

"Looks like it. Skye, toss me the gun." He told her and Skye tossed him the Night-Night pistol. The second he had it he fired the entire magazine into Jason and handed it back when he ran out. "Just in case."

"Good idea." May agreed as Fitz ran back and brought back another magazine for the gun along with some restraints. No one dared to do it so Will volunteered and with May, Coulson, and Skye keeping their guns on Jason he restrained his hands and feet together. Fitz ran to get more so Will managed to restrain Jason's neck to his hands so he couldn't move them and added in some restraints to his legs, essentially making him a mummy.

"You think that will hold him?" Fitz asked.

"If he wakes up, I'm doubtful it'd be for long. If we can keep him sedated, we can at least get him into a proper containment cell." Coulson told her.

"Then what? Do we have a containment cell that can hold him?" Skye pointed out.

"SHIELD designed containment cells to hold the Hulk so I think the same would work." Ward assured her. "We put him in one and he can't get out."

"Not unless he teleports." Will said but raised his hand to stop Fitz-Simmons from saying anything. "I don't care what science says but he's literally disappeared from our sight twice when we were looking straight at him and then reappeared somewhere else entirely. He can teleport. It's the only explanation as to how someone as big and slow as him can get around so fast."

"That would explain what I saw happen on the CCTV cameras." Skye agreed. "So, how do we prevent that from happening?"

"Probably keep him sedated. Keep him pumped filled with the dendrotoxin or maybe submerged in it so he can't wake up." Coulson deduced.

"Only temporarily. I say we keep him sedated then put him on a rocket and send it straight to the sun. Let him burn up into nothing and be done with it." Will suggested. "Or a black hole."

"Sounds good to me." May added as Will looked over at Jason and then at the others.

"So…I think this deserves…the biggest I told you so ever." Will told all of them and had the cockiest smirk on his face.

"Yeah, it does." Coulson admitted.

"All right, let us have it. Go on. You were right about Jason Voorhees." Ward told him.

"I was right, and you were wrong! I was right and you were wrong! I was right and you were wrong! I was right and you were wrong! I was right and you were WRONG! Man, I'm so planning on milking this thing for a long time." Will chuckled as he began dragging Jason's body over to the van.

"We have that to look forward too." Skye muttered.

"Hopefully next time you guys listen to me, and Simmons will be like; Oh Will, you were right. We were so stupid for not listening to you. You are the smartest, bravest, greatest SHIELD agent ever and we will always bow down to your greatness." Will mocked in an English accent that was purposely terrible as he inflated his ego a bit. Which in his opinion was perfectly justified after what's happened.

"I don't sound like that!" Simmons complained.

"Who cares, point is you all were the nonbelievers that just got the truth slapped on your faces." Will continued.

"Yeah, don't push it." May warned him and he thought of something else.

"You know what? I think all of you owing me a solid, no hold bars, unavoidable favor is good enough." Will suggested.

"Fair enough but in my defense scientific equipment is what subdued Jason, not supernatural." Simmons pointed out as Coulson checked his phone.

"Well, backup is nearly here so they can deal with him." Coulson told them.

"Good because we're leaving here and tomorrow, I don't care what SHIELD HQ says, we're going out to eat and you morons are paying. And I'm choosing the fanciest, most expensive steakhouse I know." Will taunted.

"Sounds good to me." Skye added when Will's danger sense went off. He saw Jason's hand start to twitch, and his eyes suddenly opened.

"Oh, crap!" Will didn't get a chance to do anything as Jason knocked him away with a kick to the stomach. Jason immediately stood up and easily ripped himself free of his restraints before ripping off the door to one of the vans and placing it in front of himself like a shield to block the bullets from the Night-Night guns. Skye fired all the bullets, but the door blocked them and when she ran out Jason hurled the door at her. Ward protected her from the brunt of the attack, but both were hit hard. Jason then grabbed the side of the van and pushed it forward, sending it skidding across the parking lot towards the team hitting Coulson and Fitz-Simmons.

Jason picked up his machete and walked over to get himself some new heads when May came from around the van and shot him several times in the chest. The impacts stunned him a bit but didn't do much other than that and May heard the audible click of her shotgun when it ran out of shells. Jason rushed forward and swung his machete at May to cleave her in half but she managed to dodge all of them, hitting him in the side or face with the shotgun before Jason tossed it aside. He brought his machete down with a swing, but she was to avoid it. She then grabbed his machete arm and brought it over her shoulder, managing to grab the blade before spinning around and kicking him back before slashing him across the stomach. She cut him across the chest and brought the machete up for a powerful swing, but Jason caught the blade with one hand. May put all her strength to push the blade at him but Jason had a death grip on it. His fingers bled a black goo as the blade cut into him but nary a flinch or head tilt. Jason then tossed the blade aside and grabbed May by the throat with one hand and pulled her close, holding her body up into the air as he slowly squeezed the life out of her. May couldn't breath and struggled to get free of Jason's death grip as she scrambled for her gun and fired several shots into his right foot. Jason flinched and let her go as May coughed up a lung while catching her breath. She got up and saw Jason looking at her before motioning her to come at him, like he was daring her to keep fighting even though it was futile.

She punched him across the face or well, hockey mask repeatedly, throwing out wild haymakers before kicking him in the groin and then landing a jumping spin kick to his head. Jason staggered a bit so May followed up her kick with several quick jabs to his neck and side before kicking the back of his left leg, side kicking him in the stomach and then hitting Jason with a tornado kick to the face. She groaned in pain as her hands and feet stung. Hitting Jason was like hitting a cement wall. Jason's head tilted to the side, but he slowly brought it back around before throwing a wild haymaker. May managed to dodge it and jabbed him in the back before jumping up onto his shoulders to try and take him to the ground and while she had the leverage Jason was just too heavy. He instead grabbed her by the neck and slammed her into the van, making a large dent and definitely bruising if not fracturing some ribs. May struggled to breath as Jason tightened his fist and was ready to pop her head like a grape when Ward grabbed him from behind and stabbed him in the neck with his knife. Jason let May go to deal with Ward and he just punched him across the face. Ward hit the ground and was bleeding from his mouth, spitting out a tooth as Jason marched up to him. He picked up his machete and held it up when Skye came around the van. She was bleeding from the head a bit but had picked up Coulson's Night-Night rifle and fired a shot into Jason's back. He staggered a bit before slowly turning around and looked at Skye. She panicked and quickly tried to fire another shot, but the hammer bolt was jammed.

"SHIT!" Skye began smacking it to get it to work as Jason walked over to her.

"NOO!" Ward got up and rushed at Jason, tackling him from behind but it did nothing as he basically tackled a stone pillar. Jason knocked him aside and continue marching towards Skye.

"SKYE, GET DOWN!"

She ducked and covered her head as several loud gunshots were heard before Jason's head and upper torso basically exploded. Ward and Skye saw Will had gotten to his car and took out the .50 caliber sniper rifle he brought with him. It was just like everything else they threw at him, but it bought them some time. Will walked over and kicked Jason's body to the side before throwing a magnesium flare causing him to burn and hopefully buying them some more time.

"We got to go, now!" Will shouted helping May and Coulson up on their feet along with Fitz-Simmons.

"Go!" Coulson shouted as Ward, Coulson, Fitz-Simmons, and May got into the van while Will and Skye got in his Aston Martin. The second their cars were started they drove the hell out of there. Jason's body soon reformed, and he looked in the general direction of his fleeing victims.

They needed to die.

Will was in the lead, driving as fast as he could with Ward driving the van right behind them. "Skye, you ok?"

"No, I'm not ok. What the hell do we do now?" She asked him.

"I don't know." He answered when his dashboard beeped with a call from Coulson, so he pressed a button to answer. "Well…that didn't go as planned."

"No, it didn't. Now that Jason's awake, I'm not sure we could put him back under long enough to get him someplace secure." Coulson told him.

"This is not happening. This is not happening." Simmons muttered.

"Will, what do we do?" Ward asked him.

"How the hell should I know?" Will told him.

"You're the Jason expert? Don't you know a secret that can kill him?" Skye pointed out.

"That was before he turned out to be a demonic revenant and shrugged off everything we have. Even with backup the only thing we'll do is serve up more bodies." Will said and Skye leaned back into her seat in defeat. The situation seemed really hopeless. That's when he saw a sign for the old Camp Crystal Lake about a mile away and started to get an idea. "Coulson, check the revenant files. Is there any way to trap one?"

"We already tried that, and it didn't work." Simmons pointed out.

"That was the scientific way. We're sticking with the supernatural lore from here on out." Will stated. "Coulson, give me something."

"Ok, I think I have one way. According to the files, a revenant or any kind of demon can be trapped in a special kind of sigil known as the Key of Solomon. Basically, a devil's trap. If a demon gets trapped in one, then they're powerless to escape." Coulson read out from the file.

"Ok, then that's what we do. Contact the incoming backup and tell them to track our transponder signals. We're gonna trap Jason." Will said in confidence.

"Trap him where and where are we going?" Skye asked.

"Where it all began." Will hit the accelerator and sped them towards Camp Crystal Lake. Seemed like a fitting place to end the nightmare of Friday the 13th.

Line Break xxxxx

Camp Crystal Lake

Will stood in the middle of the abandoned campgrounds under the full moon, wearing his SHIELD tactical gear with his quiver of arrows on his back and his bow in his hand. This was their last-ditch effort to take out Jason and what better place to draw him out and end it then Camp Crystal Lake. The camp had been abandoned ever since Jason's massacre years ago with only stupid teens coming here to get drunk. The town never tore it down, so it's been left alone and rotting away. If they were gonna kill Jason, what better place to do it then where it all began.

"This is officially the craziest idea I've ever heard of."Skye radioed to him.

"Eh, I've had crazier." Will admitted.

"Will, are you even sure this is gonna work?" Simmons asked him.

"No, but any of you got a better idea? Because if so then I'm all ears. Idiot teenagers are what got Jason killed and according to all the reports since then he's taken after his mother. Seems as good a way to lure him out. Fitz, hit it." Will told him before walking over to a firepit he made and lighting a match.

"All right. Here we go." He pressed a button on his tablet and several cameras began projecting images out while Will tossed in the match. The firepit lit up and the cameras ended up projecting holograms of college kids having a raucous 70s/80s style drunken party with loud music, drugs, and sex. The holographic projectors worked best at night as it made them look so life-like and perfect for their trap. Will slipped away out of sight as Safety Dance by Men Without Hats began to play and echo throughout the woods.

"Nice choice on the song, Fitz." Will praised.

"Thanks. I would have gone with a disco song, but I think this one is better." Fitz replied. He, Simmons, and Skye were hidden in the SHIELD van which they hid inside an old barn that used to hold the camps equipment like sports stuff, old canoes for the lake and other things. This kept them out of sight and Fitz had his drones up in the air patrolling the campgrounds.

"Sir, we sure this is the best idea?" Ward asked, perched up in a tree with the .50 caliber sniper rifle. He was looking through the scope at the roaring campfire and hologram teen party they were using to bait Jason. He had the feeling that it wasn't going to work.

"You're more than welcome to go out there and play act as a dumb jock Ward if you think live bait will work better. Or better yet? The dumb cheerleader? Oh, the idiot stoner? That would work." Will remarked, being playful and joking a bit to lighten the mood.

"No live bait. Will knows Jason Voorhees better than we do so if anyone knows what will work its him." Coulson told him. He and May were by the lake, hidden underneath the stacks of canoes by the water.

"Feels like something out of a horror movie." Ward pointed out.

"Then let's hope we live through this one and there isn't a sequel." Will muttered.

Skye and Fitz-Simmons monitored the feed from the drones when camera footage of one of them began to glitch out. "Guys, I think I got something." Skye stated, working on the drone camera.

"Where?" Coulson asked as Skye worked on clearing up the image when the glitching stopped and she saw Jason appear in the woods.

"He's here, north-east sector and he is heading straight for the fire." Skye reported.

"Nobody move a muscle until I say so. I don't care if you think you have a shot, do not do anything until I give the order." Will ordered everyone on the comms.

Jason Voorhees marched through the woods and entered Camp Crystal Lake. He had his machete in his hand as he walked through the camp until he arrived at the large party filled with teenagers. "Whoa, dude. Nice mask." One of the male hologram jocks said. "Want a beer?"

"Or maybe some pot?" Another teen asked, holding up a bong.

"Or how about some private time with us in our tent?" Two teenage girls offered.

"There is no way this is gonna work." Simmons said in disbelief.

"Shut up…" Will muttered as he watched the scene unfold. Jason looked at the teenagers and then swung his machete in a wide lateral cut, but the blade just passed through them since they were holograms. He looked at his machete and then at the teens who all began laughing at him.

"Sorry, man. That's not gonna work and this is the end of the line for you! Yeah!" The jock cheered before the holograms disappeared. Will had an arrow drawn back on his drawstring so he quickly released it. It flew through the air but didn't hit Jason and instead hit a patch of grass to the side before exploding into a bright fireball. The incendiary arrow ignited the grass around it but then soon spread along the grass all over down a set path which had been covered in an accelerant and soon the fire trail had spread out all around Jason. Jason looked around as the fire kept spreading until all the points connected. He didn't know it, but the drones had a bird's eye view, and it showed a large circle surrounding a pentagram with various small sigils in the circle.

"NOW!" Will shouted as flood lights illuminated Jason and SHIELD Agents in tactical gear descended from the trees or around cover. The SHIELD Agents opened fire with everything they had, shooting hundreds of rounds into Jason. Jason staggered and jostled around as he was hit with bullet after bullet, with the bullets seemingly hurting him more than they did before. Ward fired some rounds from the sniper rifle that tore Jason's body apart and while the Devil's trap preventing Jason was from leaving or teleporting away it didn't mean his regeneration was powered down. When Ward shot his arm off it regrew back a few seconds later.

"This is getting us nowhere!" Ward shouted and Will realized he was right when he got an idea. While they were setting up the trap he had read through the file on the revenant and since it was technically a human soul corrupted in hell then he may have an ace up his sleeve.

"Just keep shooting!" Will ordered, ducking back behind an old cabin where he sat down and took a deep breath. "Here goes nothing."

Will astral projected from his body and flew into Jason's body, possessing him.

Will soon found himself in a dark, disgusting mindscape that looked like Camp Crystal Lake only like it had gone through hell. He saw various totem poles of the various victims Jason had killed and a part of him was nervous, but the other part was just ready for this to end. Will was wearing his Aegis gear as his was a projection of his sub-conscious/soul so if he was going to fight Jason here then he wasn't going anymore punches.

"Come on you overgrown Mama's boy! Let's end this now!"

"ke-ke-ke ha-ha-ha"

Will heard and he was suddenly tackled to the ground by the large demon soul he thing he first saw when he read Tina's mind and didn't know it was Jason's Revenant. The demon was the embodiment of his soul now and picked Will up before throwing him into a totem pole of bodies only for Will to stop his body mid-flight and dropped down in a three-point landing

The Revenant roared as dark figures began to shimmer around him and soon copies of Jason began to appear, each of them dressed differently in homage to the various appearances he has had in his killing spree. There was even one where he had a burlap sack on his head and even young Jason in his Crystal Lake camp gear but wielding a machete. The demon roared and charged at Will, ready to tear him apart for invading his home and then let the others have their fun when it crashed into Will's psychic shield.

"No more kid gloves." Will's hood and mask came up as he unleashed all the power he had and emitted it from his body in waves of energy that began to slowly corrode and destroy Jason's soul scape. The Jason bodies burst into clouds of smoke as the revenant cried out in pain, literally being torn apart bit by bit. It shrunk in size and continued to shrink as Will mentally and psychically destroy Jason's soul and the power it had. Soon the entire soul scape was nothing, but darkness and Jason's revenant had revered from a demon into the young Jason Voorhees who drowned all those years ago in camp. "It's time to rest now, Jason…permantely."

Will glowed bright like the sun as his blue aura bathed Jason's soul in its power before he finally faded away like smoke in the wind.

The SHIELD agents continued shooting when Jason's body began to violently shake. "Hold your fire!" Coulson shouted as everyone stopped to see what was going on. Jason's body continued to violently shake like something was wrong with him and the agents didn't know but Will's astral form left Jason's body and returned home.

"Whew, that was a new one." Will got up and quietly joined the others giving him a solid view of black smoke slowly seeping out of Jason's body, but it was unlike the other times. This time it trickled out of Jason's body like he was bleeding and pooled on the ground before dissipating for good. The smoke was the last of Jason's revenant leaving the body and dying out. With no revenant to keep the host body alive, Jason slowly withered away like a mummy until he was nothing but old bones. His skeleton dropped to the ground along with his jumpsuit, machete and mask.

"Is it over?" Skye asked so Will took out an incendiary arrow and shot it at the skeleton, giving it another good burn.

"Now it is." Will declared and everyone breathed a sigh of relief. Jason Voorhees had gone to hell only this time it'll stick. Fitz-Simmons and Skye were finally able to relax with this horrible Friday the 13th finally over. Suffice to say that they'd be having nightmares for a while. Coulson, May and Ward were glad it was over too only the latter two were wondering what happened. Coulson looked over at Will and gave him a grateful nod. Suffice to say now that Will knew he could kill Revenants with his astral form, if he ever came across one again, he'd know what to do.

The SHIELD team began cleaning up the area which meant gathering and disposing of Jason's burn skeleton, likely to be burned to dust or buried somewhere. He had exploded and dead again, but they couldn't take any chances, so they'd handle him like a dangerous O-8-4 and secure him.

Jason's mask was laying there on the ground, covered in dried blood and soot when suddenly a large four-bladed hand sprouted from the ground and grabbed it. A menacing laugh was heard as it began to drag the mask down only for the mask and the arm to explode curtsey of an explosive arrow from Will. The mask was destroyed along with the clawed hand.

"No sequel for him." Will muttered before walking over and crushing the last bits of the mask with his boot. Jason Voorhees was gone for good, and it was gonna stay that way.

Unbeknownst to the Will, Coulson, the others, and the SHIELD team a motorcycle had pulled up just on the outskirts of Camp Crystal Lake. The motorcycle was a 1969 Harley-Davidson chopper and said rider parked on the side of the road. He wore black boots, black pants and black leather riding jacket. The rider opened up the eye cover of his helmet and looked out at the camp.

"Looks like I was late to the party…until next time." The rider closed the cover and drove away into the night. The night was still young, and he went to do what he did best…hunting.

Jason was a very special supernatural threat, but he wasn't the only one. The team dipped their toes into the deep end this night, but it wouldn't be the last time so perhaps they should get some help and real knowledge into the supernatural.

It's time for them to meet the SHIELD sub-group: The BRPD. The Bureau of Paranormal Research and Defense.

Things are going to get interesting.

1). Zombie Jason from Friday the 13th Part 7: the New Blood and the demon is the Hellbaby/heart demon from Jason Goes to Hell. Look online for the deleted scene pictures of the demon and its actually terrifying. Kind of wish we got that in the movie.

End of Chapter 18

Hope you guys liked the chapter. Our first real foray into the supernatural side of marvel and it won't be the last. Obviously, this supernatural encounter is different than the sorcerer and such of the MCU which is on purpose. Show a more horror-focused side of the supernatural which won't be a one-off. There will be more of these kinds of threats to come up. Next time, after Will and the team's first job with the supernatural, it's time for them to learn from the pros and meet a lovable, cigar smoking devil who's just the best supernatural custodian they have. And he's got some interesting friends as well. On top of that, Centipede is back and its time to take the fight to them. Enjoy!

I originally planned to have the Jason Voorhees part be a small part but instead I decided to use it to expand the supernatural part of the MCU world so far which will lead into the next chapter. I didn't want to rush the Hellboy part so that'll be next chapter sorry, but I hoped you guys liked this one. Again, sorry for the delay but personal and work things slowed my writing. I'm not a student as I've already graduated college and I work full-time so I can't dedicate everything to writing and I'll do my best but sometimes things happen. Still, I'll post any and all update notifications on my profile page so look for those towards the end of a month. If something has happened, I'll post it there to let you guys know.

Updates for March: On March 31st will be chapters for the Mandalorian Maverick and The Blue Wolf along with a new chapter for the Crimson Speedster on March 31st. Apologies again for the delay on the Blue Wolf and Mandalorian Maverick.
