"So, Number Five." Reginald began, after the two of them had left the others and retreated to a quiet corner.. "I see you made it back, perhaps you aren't the great disappointment I took you to be."
"Gee, such a rousing and heartfelt statement of love." Five remarked scathingly.
"Spare me the theatrics." Reginald told him coldly. "You and I both know that it was your own fault you were stuck in the apocalypse, one that I had warned you for years you and your siblings existed to prevent. I did warn you about descending into the icy waters as an acorn, Number Five."
"Maybe if you weren't such a shit father, I wouldn't have ran away and gotten stuck there. Now, come on, you don't ever do anything without a reason, why do you want to privately speak?"
"To business then. The apocalypse, tell me everything. I need to plan ahead for every eventuality. We also need to discuss your return to training."
"What? What return to training?" Five asked, perplexed.
"You have clearly neglected your powers, and you're clearly underage now. You shall return to my tutelage until you are ready to combat the apocalypse. I'm sure by the end of these videos, your siblings will also agree to resume their training for the greater good."
"You really are delusional." Five muttered, walking away, ignoring the scandalised looks that Reginald gave him as he headed to rejoin the others, waiting to play the second episode.
"What did Dad want?" Vanya asked Five quietly as he perched himself by her.
"Just Dad being his usual charming self." Five said demurely. "Let's just get through this."
"So, why didn't you tell us about Ben?" Allison asked Klaus, who was helping himself to a drink from the bar.
"Oh shut it." Klaus said, looking into the corner. "As for you, Allison, you guys wouldn't believe me, would you?"
"Well it's not that we wouldn't, it's just that your powers don't work when you're high, do they" Luther asked, jumping in to defend Allison.
"Usually, Ben is an annoying exception, you know I love you Benny!" Klaus mocked whined, looking in the corner as he said it.
"So, shall we talk about what we saw at the end, the end of days?" Diego asked.
"No, we need to get through this so I know what to do to stop it, we can talk about it once I've stopped it." Five told him shortly.
"So, we have weeks, if this is only a few weeks from now?" Allison asked.
"Yes, but again, if I find out how it was caused, I can work out a way to stop it." Five explained, as if talking to children. "Now, can we get back on with watching this?"
"Wait, you said some people called the Commission hired those guys at Griddy's? Who are they?" Vanya asked.
"I'll explain if it isn't covered in the episodes." Five growled. "Now let's get back on with this."
"Fine." The others assented, as Five got ready to set the show going again.
The scene opened on Grace preparing for dinner, calling the children and Reginald to the table, them all standing at attention until Reginald sat, before changing to show them all engaging in various activities whilst eating.
"How old are we here?" Klaus asked, wondering.
"Well I'd say it's….around the time Five vanished." Allison said, eyes widening as she realised what this event would be.
Five dug his knife into the table, getting the attention of them all, before stating that he had a question for Reginald.
"Honestly, wish I'd listened to you, old man." Five mumbled under his breath, so Reginald wouldn't hear his confession.
"I want to time travel." Five stated.
"You fool." Five muttered to himself.
The effects it may have on your body, even on your mind, are far too unpredictable." Reginald said before Five raced out of the door and jumped several times to different periods, before ending up in the Apocalypse, rushing back to the Academy, seeing its rubble, screaming out for Ben, Vanya and Reginald in the ashes. "I survived on scraps, anything I could find. You know that rumour that Twinkie's have an endless shelf life? Bullshit." Five told a shocked Vanya.
"You know, I don't blame you for being on edge since this all started, with having lived through all that." Klaus told Five softly, Five turning his gaze on him as the other siblings looked sheepish or nodded at Five.
"Thanks, I guess, it's in the past, or the future, anyway." Five told him. "The important thing is I survived and managed to come back to warn you, whoever causes it, I need to be ready for them." Five said, determined.
"Whoever?" Diego asked. "I thought you said you never found out what caused it?"
"It'll be explained." Five tried to wave it away.
"No, I want to know now, What causes it?" Diego asked.
"Fine, no, I don't know the exact thing that made it happen, I didn't lie about that." Five said. "But, I found a clue, I won't say what as the episodes probably will and that will just waste time, but I found a clue that suggests it was due to something a person did." Five finished, his hand slipping into his pocket and clenching around the prosthetic eye.
Vanya looked at Five as if he had gone mad, asking why he didn't return, as Five explained he wouldn't give up on his family, Vanya accused Five of having lost his mind.
"Wow, so I'd have needed to give you proof?" Five asked Vanya softly, trying not to let the sting of this betrayal show. He thought he and Vanya had been the closest they could be to one another before all of this.
"No, Five, I mean, come on, I've seen what you've been through, other me, she clearly doesn't understand." Vanya tried explaining.
"Understand? Do you think, do any of you think, that you understand what I went through, what I had to do, what I had to see, to get back to you, to get here, now? You don't understand, none of you do." Five said.
"Then help us to understand, Master Five." Pogo said sadly. "What can we do to help?"
"None of you can help me." Five stated shortly.
"I know that's not true." Luther spoke up. "We're the Umbrella Academy. We save the world, and we will this time as well."
"There's no such thing as the Umbrella Academy, it was just the dream of a monster, a dream that failed." Diego spat at Luther, why was he still trying to please their father, couldn't Luther see how the old man had ruined all of their lives?
"Enough!" Five shouted, stopping the argument before it could escalate. "We need to get on with this."
The scene changed to show Vanya taking a pill before Five pulled out an eyeball from a cloth, turning it over to read Meritech then leaving Vanya's apartment.
"You still need those pills?" Klaus asked Vanya, who nodded.
"They help with my anxiety."
"If you ever want to share, I could do with some." Klaus told her, as Reginald frowned.
"Those are designed specifically for Number Seven, Number Four. You require merely to accept your powers and get over your fears and your issues will cease." He told Klaus condescendingly.
"So, why do you have an eyeball?" Allison asked Five.
"Wait, Meritech, that's in town, why did you go there?" Diego asked as well.
"You can see the eyeball, right?" Five asked him, as if talking to a child. "Well it's from there. I need to know who it belongs too."
"Why?" Luther interjected.
"I told you already, I found something that proved that a person had something to do with the apocalypse, that was it. I found this eye, I need to know who it belongs too."
"Then what, once you know?" Allison asked.
"I kill them." Five stated simply. "Kill them and save the world."
"We don't kill people, Five!" Luther growled.
"Well we have plenty of times before, Luther, this is one life, and a guilty one at that, against the entire world. One life isn't worth everyone else's."
The scene showed two people climb out of a cab and head to a Motel desk, stating "Reservation for Hazel and Cha-Cha."
"They sent them after me? I'm almost flattered." Five mused aloud.
"Who are they?" Vanya asked.
"Assassins, they work for the Commission, they're the second best in the business, nobody who they want dead stays alive for more than a day." Five told her.
"Wait, second best?" Diego asked.
"Why do they want to kill you so badly?" Luther asked.
"You need to stay at the house so we can all protect you." Allison told him.
"What sort of name is Cha-Cha?" Klaus asked, amused.
"One at a time!" Five protested. "The Commission protects the timeline, any threats to it, they dispatch assassins to remove the problem, I can look after myself, Allison. As for why they're the second best, well top spot was taken by yours truly." Five said. "I can handle these two, I know exactly how they operate."
"You were an assassin? You had rules at least, right?" Vanya asked, quietly, not sure she had heard correctly, Five couldn't be a dangerous killer, could he?
"No, no rules, if there were a threat to the timeline they were killed, man, woman or even child."
"God that's awful!" Allison exclaimed.
"How is it any different to us? We killed threats, and I doubt Five was given a choice by this Commission on his targets, either? Seems fine to me." Klaus of all people spoke up, defending Five.
"Look, we need to keep this going, I need to find out where they will be so I can stop them." Five said. "I'll try capture them, if it'll make you happier, but I need them out of the way." Five said, looking towards Allison and Vanya, who seemed particularly against Five killing anyone.
Hazel and Cha-Cha could be seen taking a box to a motel room, opening it and Cha-Cha unloading the box whilst Hazel grumbled about the hotel room and the cutting costs at the Commission losing their health benefits.
"Do these guys just whine all of the time?" Klaus asked Five with a smirk.
"I've heard about Hazel always been a bit….unhappy about the equipment and procedures." Five stated.
"What are you doing?" "It's not like we're gonna use it when we're doing the job anyway."
"Now that is interesting, I may just have a way to stick it to them and help myself if I need more time when this happens." Five said to himself.
They talked about the team before being murdered as they looked over a photo of old Five, before the scene changed to show the crime scene at Griddys and some detectives inspecting it.
"Wait, is that...Five?" Luther asked, glancing at it and back at Five who nodded, not looking at him.
"Eudora..." Diego said, looking at the female detective on the screen.
"Friend of yours, Master Diego?" Pogo asked with a slight smile at the way Diego's eyes lit up upon seeing her.
"I guess you could say that, Pogo." Diego told him. "I'd like to think so, anyway."
They saw as she questioned Agnes the doughnut lady, who stated that she had already told the other detective everything, leaving the scene, Diego smiled as Eudora walked up to him, before she tasered him and stuck him in a police car, before walking away, stating "Lord, you test me." with a small smile.
"Damn, you've got it bad." Klaus snickered at Diego who blushed.
"S-Shut up." He snarled.
"Why don't you just ask her out?" Allison asked Diego, watching the scene unfold. "She clearly likes you."
"Nah, not like that, not anymore." Diego said sadly.
"I'd say she does." Vanya remarked. "Look at that smile on her face."
"What would you know, Vanya?" Diego snarled at her in his embarrassment, Vanya slinking down in her seat so as not to be seen.
The scene changed to show Luther awaken and go into Allison's room, talking with her about her plans to go see her daughter, and how he doesn't have any idea what he will do with himself now that he isn't on the moon.
"Wow, you need to get laid." Klaus snickered, Ben glaring at him as he said it, with Luther also frowning.
"Will Patrick let you see Claire?" Vanya asked Allison hesitantly, who shrugged.
"I'm not sure, I think I can convince him to let me see her though." Allison smiled at her sister, who flashed a weak smile back.
Allison discussed the two of them going to see Claire together, about how Luther was her own personal superhero in her eyes, before Luther raved about needing to find Reginald's monocle and Allison telling him there was no mystery, just an old man dying of heart failure.
"Ok, so the monocle didn't just vanish, but that doesn't mean there is some deeper meaning to all of this." Allison said, as Luther went to open his mouth. "Heart failure happens, it's a fact of life."
"Well it wouldn't be if you used your powers on Dad for that never to happen." Luther said, Allison glared daggers at him and he wished he could take it back.
"Is that what you see me as, just as my powers, just like dad, Number One?" Allison venomously shot back, causing Luther to flinch.
"Allison, no, come on." Luther protested. "You know I didn't mean it like that!"
"Good going, big boy." Diego smirked as Allison turned away from Luther and back to the screen, determined to block him out.
The scene moved on to show Klaus awaken in a fit, hearing ghosts screaming for him, to show Ben reading a newspaper "You know you talk in your sleep?"
"Ben..." Allison breathed, still drinking in the fact he was there.
He says Allison...in that breathless way you just did it." Klaus snickered, as Allison's cheeks flushed. "Guys, you don't need to do this every time, Ben is here, he can hear you, I'll carry messages I guess when I feel like it." Klaus smirked.
"There's no point, you're out of drugs."
"Shut your pie hole, Ben! Said with love." Klaus said before Pogo accosted him on the missing items, Ben questioning Klaus as well about it, before the scene showed what Klaus did with the items.
"So you threw it all away?" Reginald asked in disbelief. "What were you thinking, Number Four?!"
"I was clearly trying to score some quick cash for drugs." Klaus dryly said. "Why, what's so important about a few papers anyway?"
"That is no concern of any of you. You shall not touch those items, is that understood, any of you?" Reginald barked imperiously, staring with his dead eyes at each of his children in turn. Only Luther and Vanya gave him a nod of assurance, Vanya being much more hesitant. The others electing to not meet his gaze or ignore him entirely.
"Drop dead." "Low blow."
"You seriously told our already dead brother to drop dead?" Diego asked in a stunned voice as Klaus grinned.
"He's a lot more sassy now he's dead." Klaus told him. "As you see, he gives as good as he gets."
They watched as Pogo, unable to prove it was Klaus, gave him an out, offering to let it go if the items were returned.
"Well at least Pogo is looking out for you, Klaus." Ben scolded his brother who hissed at him in response.
Vanya awoke in her apartment to find Five had left during the night, before the scene changed to show Five at Meritech, trying to locate the owner of the eye, before getting into a dispute with Lance, the scientist. Five left as it moved to the police precinct and the investigation into the shooting, noting that there was a match to a cold case from 1938.
"Ah, I remember that job." Five said with an air of mystery. "Not my hardest assignment by any rate."
"Assignment?" Luther asked with a frown.
"I've killed big guy, get used to it." Five said. "I know I have."
Eudora spoke with Diego, telling him how the Umbrella Academy was a fantasy and that he needed to stop coming to her crime scenes, dismissing him.
"Well, I can't blame her on that one, it definitely is a fantasy of a deluded old man." Diego said as Reginald and Luther glowered at him.
"Number Two, this is simply unacceptable behaviour, I have put up with this for long enough, you believe you are a hero? You are not. You are a small man, painfully unaware of his own insignificance and too invested in his hero delusion to realise that without the rest of his team, he is less than nothing." Reginald shot back, seeing Diego flinch and the others eyes widen in shock, even Luther.
"Dad..." Luther started softly.
"No, l-let him finish, N-Number One." Diego said. "W-W-What gives you the right, old man?"
"I am your father and the ma n who has made you the man you are, admittedly, what little of a man you are, today." Reginald said.
Allison and Klaus got to their feet, ready to argue with Reginald, even Ben stood up, unable to be seen but fury across his face. Luther looked shocked and confused, and Vanya, despite still being sat, looked furious at her father. Five stayed where he was, but with a hint of steel in his own gaze if one was looking at his eyes.
"No." A low voice said, as they turned to see Luther speaking. "No, Dad. Even if he did leave the Academy, Diego still does what he can to help people. He is a hero."
Reginald looked dumbstruck at this defiance, whilst the others looked shocked, Diego finding his voice first.
"Well, thanks, big guy."
Luther just tightly smiled at him and nodded, before turning his attention back towards the screen again.
Luther headed into a gym looking for Diego, learning that he worked there and being pointed to the back room, going in and seeing where Diego lived.
"Cute apartment." Allison teased as Diego's eyes clouded.
"Don't go into my room, Luther." He told him, as Luther nodded.
"I'll try not too this time, should hang around the Academy more often then so I can speak to you."
"Maybe in another life." Diego ruefully said, glaring at Reginald. "Maybe once the old man is gone."
Luther just shook his head, knowing it would take a lot to bridge the gap between Reginald and the others, especially Diego.
The scene changed again to show Vanya return to the Academy to find Five and talk with him, explaining why she was dismissive, Five accepting it and telling her he may have been crazy, as she left, he went to the door, and Klaus fell out of his wardrobe, Five telling him to dress properly and to do this job for him before he would be paid. Klaus making up a detailed backstory for their scheme.
"Yeah, I have to agree with future me, a disturbing glimpse into that brain of yours." Five shuddered as Klaus grinned at him.
"Oh come on Five, I'm not that bad, and it really was touching what you said, Vanya, even Ben agrees." Klaus smiled at her, Vanya giving a hesitant smile back to him. Ben nodded to Klaus from the corner.
They watched as a pick up truck pulled into a garage, as the man headed inside, he was attacked by Cha-Cha and Hazel, who tied him up and began electrocuting him, believing him to be Five. The two of them discussed whether Five would be like this guy was, before realising it wasn't him. Once the old guy revealed their was a kid, and revealed where he had sent the kid, the scene changed once again.
"Well, they look like fans of your work, Master Five." Pogo stated, trying to diffuse some of the tension he could see brewing at the treatment of this man and what they had said about Five.
"Well at least if we do it differently this time, we can save this man from being tortured." Luther said.
"And much worse. Kidnapping survival odds go down when you see their face. Hazel and Cha-Cha probably killed him." Vanya said quietly, having been trained by Reginald in how to handle such things, due to her powerlessness.
"Yeah, Hazel and Cha-Cha don't leave anyone alive who gets in the way, they definitely killed the man after." Five said quietly as the show moved on.
Allison was seen talking to Patrick on the phone and arguing that the court would allow that one missed therapy session, Patrick refusing to even let Allison speak to Claire due to it, with Allison hanging up in rage, as Vanya tried to console her, Allison snapped at her. "Did Dad make you write that book about us? You're an adult now, Vanya, you don't get to blame your problems on anyone but yourself."
"Wow, Allison, even I think that's rough." Diego said. "I mean, I get it, I don't blame you at all, Vanya did an unspeakable evil, but damn."
"I've said sorry, alright?" Vanya protested, as Diego waved a hand.
"I don't care. What you did, I'll never forgive it."
Vanya reeled back as if Diego had struck her, but fell silent.
Klaus and Five sat in Meritech, discussing about consent for handing out the name of the owner of the eye, before Klaus spoke up. "What about my consent? Who gave you permission to lay your hands on my son?" Klaus asked, confusing both Lance and Five, before striking Five, followed by smashing a snow globe into his own head, the signs of abuse being used to try and convince the security that Lance had attacked them, resulting in his arrest. "You're gonna do great in prison, trust me." Klaus assured him with a grin, as Lance got to work on locating the eye's owner, before revealing that the eye hadn't been produced yet.
"Jesus, Klaus!" Allison said as they watched it all unfold.
"I do take my craft seriously, perhaps I should have gone into acting as well?" Klaus remarked, as Ben looked at him in bemusement.
"Number Four! You are not to harm yourself or Number Five in such a reckless manner this time around, are we clear?" Reginald barked at him. "The fate of the world can hinge on such things."
Five tells Klaus about the end of the world and Klaus talks about his hunger, angering Five, before Five opened up. "I wasn't alone. Her name was Delores. We were together for over thirty years."
"Tell us about her?" Vanya asked softly, eyes pleading with Five, who sighed and nodded.
"She was my whole world after we met. We did everything together, explored for other survivors, for anything left in the rubble, she told me where I went wrong, made sure I was looking after myself, and in the end, I had to leave her, promising I would change all of this, that this doomed world we had met in would never come to pass if I could do anything about it." Five explained to them all. "She was my other half."
"Wow, I had no idea, Five, I'm so sorry you lost her." Vanya said.
"Well, who knows what the future will hold? It isn't my Delores, but she is out there, somewhere."
The scene shifted to Vanya playing the violin, until a knock at the door distracted her, opening it, she saw a man stood there. "I'm Leonard, I'm your four o clock? I swear, I had nothing to do with Mr Puddles." He joked, as Vanya apologised for having forgotten about her lesson with him.
"He seems nice." Luther remarked.
"Too nice." Diego frowned,
"I want to know more about the escape artist known as Mr Puddles." Klaus said, as Five rolled his eyes at their antics.
"I'm sure he's just being friendly." Vanya shot back at Diego. "Not everyone is a secret threat."
"Hmph." Diego said, focusing back on the screen.
Vanya rambled on about her neighbour before her and Leonard began working on the violin.
"Looks like baby Vanya may have a crush." Klaus teased as Vanya blushed.
"No, he'll just be a student." She protested.
"They haven't shown us any of your younger students, Who wants to bet that by the end of this, these two are dating?" Klaus asked.
"Not going to take that bet, they clearly will be." Allison said as the other siblings all shook their heads. It was obvious, at least to anyone who wasn't Vanya.
Diego came into the gym and headed to his room, noticing he wasn't alone, he threw his knife, nicking Luther, Diego explaining that if he wanted him dead, he would have been dead. Luther noted that Diego couldn't have killed their father, with Diego noting he didn't need to prove his innocence, forcing Luther to leave.
"Really, you genuinely believed one of us would kill him?" Diego asked Luther, the sting of betrayal in his voice. "We all hate him, but we would never kill the old fool."
The others nodded, sure, they all hated their father, but none of them would want to go back just to kill him.
The scene cut to Vanya and Leonard once again practising, with him flirting with her. "You can relax, I've never been a prodigy in anything." "That makes two of us." Vanya told him. Leonard then explained he was learning violin to feel closer to his father, who had a distant relationship with Leonard, ending with Leonard offering Vanya to come see him if she was ever in his part of town.
Vanya blushed watching it whilst the others, particularly Allison and Klaus narrowed their eyes. Seeing this, Vanya turned to them.
"What's wrong with it now?"
"I mean, I can get some flirting, but that's way too quick, some of the things he's doing, as well, its like the looks he is giving you, they're more….like a predator." Allison said.
"I've seen that kind of gaze before, it's never usually a good one." Klaus confirmed. "If you do meet this guy, this time around, be careful." He told Vanya, who scowled at them.
"What do you guys know? None of you know what it's like to interact with those less special than yourselves, you all look down on others who aren't like you, you're judgmental, arrogant, offensive and honestly, I wouldn't care about whatever you all think about Leonard. The guy seems nice, I'm sure he is, you're all just paranoid!" Vanya screamed at them, Reginald and Pogo looked at one another with alarm whilst the rest looked angry with Vanya.
"I'm just warning you." Klaus said, anger in his eyes, before turning back to the screen, refusing to let her see how deep those words had cut. Didn't know? He had suffered a damn sight more than Vanya had, he was sure of that.
The scene changed to show Allison smoking in an attic room and Pogo fetching her, talking to her about her argument with Vanya, before showing her the tapes of them as children and explaining how he would watch these, even years after Reginald had turned off the recordings, just so he could watch the children and feel close to them, even after they had left, hoping it might cheer Allison up. Allison pointed out about Ben, how she missed him, and wondering why they had abandoned Vanya, vowing that Vanya and herself could do better to be actual sisters now. Leaving her, begging her to lock up. "Things have been going missing lately...these are...too important to lose."
"Allison..." Vanya started off saying. "I'm sorry."
"No, I am, that version of me shouldn't have said that stuff to you, and we shouldn't have excluded you so much as kids." Allison told her, Klaus nodding as was Ben.
"Yeah, we really didn't help matters at all, did we?" Klaus asked with a sigh, as Vanya beamed at them.
"I am sorry though, for what I did. I know it helped Five, but I should have asked first, I shouldn't have written all about you guys without asking, I was an idiot and you have every right to hate me for what I did, I hate myself for it sometimes." Vanya admitted softly.
"I don't hate you, Vanya." A quiet voice said, looking up at her. "Was I angry? Yes, I still am, but hate you? Never."
"Thanks, Diego." Vanya told him with a small smile, which he returned.
Allison saw a tape of the night of their fathers death on top of the pile and put it in, turning it on and watching, before exclaiming "Oh God….Dad."
The scene changed to show Five arrive at a department store and locate Delores, saying to her "Delores…It's good to see you. I've missed you, obviously. Well, it's been a rough couple of days." Before Hazel and Cha-Cha appeared behind him, opening fire towards him and Delores, Five grabbing her and jumping away, dodging bullets as the two of them moved on him.
"So, Delores...was a mannequin?" Luther asked, raising an eyebrow as the other siblings hid smirks or giggles behind their hands.
"Shut. Up." Five growled at them all, as Reginald watched the proceedings with boredom, and Pogo silently watched on.
"But...a mannequin?"
"One more word and I will eviscerate all of you." Five warned, as they fell silent, still sliding glances at him.
"Shit, it's them."
Jumping around, Five dodged them both, striking them as much as he could as they attacked, realising he was out of energy to jump, he breathed a sigh of relief as police sirens forced Hazel and Cha-Cha to flee, leaving him to curl up with Delores. Moving to the tow truck shop, Eudora found the guy who Hazel and Cha-Cha tortured, hanging there, dead, before Allison ran to grab Luther and show him what she had found on the security tapes back at the Academy, Luther told Allison he was wrong, there was no conspiracy, before Allison told him that he was right, there was one. Finding Five, they asked what was wrong, before Five replied "There's nothing you can do, nothing any of you can do."
"That poor guy." Vanya said, covering her mouth in shock.
"I didn't expect they'd let him live." Five said, sadly. "Still, he seems like he was a good man, hopefully we can prevent his death this time around."
"What do you mean though, there's nothing any of us can do?" Luther asked Five.
"I said I work alone, that's what I mean, you can't help me achieve my aim." Five told him. "I've seen your attempts and it wasn't pretty."
The scene changed one final time to show Five in the apocalypse, finding the fake eye in Luther's dead hands, and looking around the ruins of the Academy, finding Diego, Allison and Klaus all in the rubble, all dead as the screen turned to black once more.
"Wait, that was all of us..." Diego said, stunned.
"I guess we really weren't enough." Luther exclaimed.
'Pitiful. Work to be done.' Reginald thought to himself.
"So, we don't know who the eye belongs too?" Allison asked.
"Unfortunately not." Five said.
"Wait, where is my body?" Vanya asked, surprised she wasn't there.
"I don't know." Five admitted. "I searched for you, Ben and Dad in the rubble for days. Ben and Dad I found out later, as for you, Vanya, I'm sorry, I never found you. I held out hope, for months, that maybe you were out there in the world, but I never did find you." Five told her, letting silence fall as the screen began the next episode.
