Cup of Violet Tea: Thank you for noticing how Alice was so indecisive with picking out her outfit! Oh, really? Hmm, I'm going to guess that perhaps you had the either the roasted pig, salmon with rice and asparagus, and or oysters for your New Year's dinner? Ah, I forgot to mention! Klaus and Julie's fathers are both in the same occupation and got to know each other, hence why they are good friends. And haha, yep! You get to spill all of the tea when it's time for desserts! And yep, we all love a true Shun smile. (ಥ﹏ಥ)

cherry-tree-of-life: Haha, I'll try my best to make the Mylene-Julie interaction as well-written as possible! Because Klaus and Julie are friends with each other for a long time and Mylene is the von Hertzon housekeeper, she is well aware of the social status between her and Julie! And, ahh, I didn't expect a lot of people to closely read my ending notes so thank you for noticing that! And haha, yep! When it comes to guys, NOTHING will stop Julie, LOL. Well, Klaus can't be oblivious forever, but we'll see his realization in the future! (^o^)v

Innocent-Diamond: Yep! I'm pretty sure they both wore green at some point. Alice had a green top, I think for Season 1 and Shun just wore basically green from Season 2 and onwards, LOL. Shun wore a tuxedo?! Man, do I feel old...I don't even remember him wearing a tuxedo! If you don't mind me asking, what episode(s) was that? Oh, haha. For the food, I kind of threw everything I knew that the wealthy ate in the Elizabethan era all in one,so there wasn't an overall cuisine, if you will. Ooh, Lunar New Year dinner! Considering that this is updated WAY after Lunar New Year, I'm going to guess that you were probably considering either the roasted pig, salmon with rice and asparagus, or oysters? And you'll find out if Shun 'visited' Alice or not in this chapter so stay tuned~! ٩(^ᴗ^)۶

Guest: I got it from fanpop! More specifically, it came from a user named alicexshun4ever and it's called 'shunXalice_forever_and_always'! Hope that helps! ´・ᴗ・`

Guest: Yep! My poll is always going to be on-going! I do believe that you need an account to participate in it though... (・∀・)

MagicxMusicxMelody: I feel like blue is a good color on everybody or at least I feel that blue looks the best on me. Anyways! Yep! Klaus is still trying to wrap his head around who Shun is whilst Alice just wants the whole thing to end, LOL. LOL, it's very clear that Shun isn't interested with even meeting Julie but I'm pretty sure Julie isn't going to take 'no' for an answer. Let's see if they meet in any future chapters~! (・∀・`;)

pretty-on-point: Congratulations on your account~! I think Julie probably thought that Runo was her rival when it came to Dan, hence why the competitiveness. It's honestly odd that she would drag Alice into it, even though Alice has nothing to do with it! Thank goodness Billy came along, LOL. LOL, you gotta love an over-dramatic Klaus though! Tiny spoiler alert: A storm is coming in this chapter and if it's out of nowhere is kinda debatable! I feel as if Alice was already in a terrible position ever since the first chapter, with Shun coming back into her life and whatnot! (=`ω´=)

Chapter 5

"That went well, don't you think so, Alice?" Alice was startled out of her thoughts as she looked up from her book to her husband. He was leaning against the wall, head turned, looking out the window. "However, I find it odd that Mr. Kazami is still in love with a married woman. I thought that someone like him would find someone else by now..." Alice swallowed thickly at Klaus's musings.

"It really isn't any of our business to pry about Mr. Kazami's personal life, Klaus." She replied, gently, hoping that her husband would just drop the topic. After the...incident, Alice had never been more grateful for Klaus' obliviousness to the more than obvious tension that was going on between her and Shun, for Klaus had simply offered his condolences and tried once more to get the raven-haired male to at least meet Julie. And once again, Shun refused. Dinner ended approximately fifteen minutes after that, with promises of seeing each more often, much to Alice's horror and what she could only assume, to Shun's amusement.

"I am aware of that, Alice, but...don't you just find it peculiar? Mr. Kazami knows that the woman he loves is already married and yet, he hasn't made any efforts to move on. Why, he rejected my offer of setting him up with Julie twice!" The silver-haired male ran a hand through his hair. "I wonder who that woman is. Surely she must know that he loves her very much and yet, she chose to marry another man."

At those words, Alice found herself jumping out of her seat, the book that was on her lap clattered to the floor unceremoniously. "I think that's enough, Klaus." As those words escaped her lips, the young female found herself surprised at her own tone. Never before had she snapped at anyone, let alone Klaus. She silently prayed that he wouldn't detect it.

She was very wrong, as Klaus was next to her in an instant, looking at her worriedly. "Are you feeling all right, Alice? Are you sick? Do you need to lie down?" He asked in a rush.

While she wasn't sick in the traditional sense of needing medicine and bed rest - she could argue that she was sick of all of this talk of her childhood lover coming back to haunt her - she did want a way out of the conversation. "I'm sorry about that, Klaus. I've got a bit of a headache is all." She smiled apologetically and again, while she didn't have a headache yet, she was slowly becoming convinced that if things were going to go the way they had been going so far, she would surely get a migraine soon enough.

"It's nothing, dear. You ought to get some rest now. I'll see you in the morning." Her husband smiled warmly as he bent down to pick up her fallen book, waving her to go back to her room. She flashed back an uneasy smile as she made her way from the sitting room to her bedroom, dreading the possibility of a restless night.

...

Alice sighed as she set her hairbrush back onto her vanity, rubbing her temples in an attempt to calm herself down. She had had a rough night, what with the tension she felt during dinner and her less than appropriate behavior towards Klaus in the sitting room area. As she stood up from her vanity chair, an all too familiar melody rang in her ears, this time, it sounded a lot closer than what she had remembered. She made her way to her balcony where a full moon illuminated enough light to see in the darkness and to her surprise, there stood Shun Kazami, a leaf in his hand.

"S-Shun?!" The redhead female wanted to scream but opted for a harsh, hushed whisper.

"Hello, Alice." He smirked smugly, as if he knew the effect he had on her.

"W-What are you doing here?" Alice asked defensively as the male in question circled around her, making her feel cornered.

"I came to visit you. After all, I did promise to visit more often." His smirk was still playing on his lips. "Why, Alice, you don't seem very happy with that information."

"W-Why are you doing this to me?" At that moment, she broke down. Her legs gave way and she was kneeling on the floor, her hands covering her face as she let out waves of heart-wrenching sobs, one after another. "I-I k-know what I said...in the...in the past...but i-it's d-different now. P-Please j-just leave me alone." Her last words barely escaped her lips before she was enveloped in a tight hug. Looking up slightly, she was able to find that Shun was kneeling on the floor as well, his arm on either side of her in a strong, protective grip. Initially, Alice had tried resisting his hug, only to find him clinging onto her tighter than before. After some time, she gave up fighting; she had missed his touch so much that it just felt like home being in his arms once more.

"Don't say that. Ever." Shun whispered back, fiercely. "I left you once and look at where that left us. I'm not leaving. Not now, not ever."

"I...you-you can't say that, Shun. I-I'm ma-married to K-Klaus. Y-You shouldn't...you shouldn't love me. Not...not after everything." She managed to choke out in-between her hiccuping tears. At that, fresh tears began to form in her eyes as she had never managed to say aloud what she knew was the truth. And just saying it aloud made her feel as if a dam of her pent-up emotions was freed and she was drowning in a flood of her own emotions.

"I don't care that you are married to Klaus. Alice, listen to me." At that, the raven-haired male pulled away slightly, just enough that he was able to cup her face in his hands and their eyes were able to meet in the pale moonlight. "Nothing is going to stop me from loving you. Not your marriage, not the ridiculous ninja training regime that kept us apart, nothing. I love you, Alice." He reached upwards, wiping away the tears on her right eye before doing the same on the left. Speechless, Alice nestled herself back into his arms and was silently thrilled when his arms immediately wrapped around her waist protectively. They stayed in that position for some time, neither one of them speaking, just basking in the moonlight and each other's presence before Shun broke the silence with a single question.

"Do you still love me, Alice?"

End of Chapter 5.

Note: DUN DUN DUN! Back at it again with the cliff-hangers! I apologize for two back-to-back cliff-hangers but talk about real tension this time! And talk about emotional roller coasters! I think I need some tissues and time alone to process everything. Anyways, since I am officially on summer break now, I will have more time to write and update so hopefully I'll have more than one chapter up this time, LOL. Please let me know what you thought about this chapter and I will see you next time! Bye~! {・ω-*}
