"Diego, do you want to talk about it?" Klaus hesitantly asked, looking at the haunted look in his brothers eyes. It couldn't be easy, having seen him kill their mother, but he knew Diego needed the support, even if he himself hadn't done it yet.

"What can I even say, Klaus?" Diego snarled at him, fury raging within him, at what he had witnessed, what he had done. It didn't matter that this hadn't happened yet, he saw himself do it and he knew, he would make the same call again if it came to it, and for that, he despised himself.

"You could start by not blaming yourself for something that hasn't happened yet." Klaus said to him. "I know what you're thinking, I can see it in your eyes, you know?" Klaus said to him. "You need to not blame yourself for it, that you did what was right, and this you will make sure Mom never even needs to be shut down." Klaus reassured him, as Diego focused on his brother and what he was saying.

"R-Really?"

"Yeah." Klaus told him with a smile. "Now, let's try talking to the big idiot about his issues, huh?"

"Luther?" Allison asked, trying to help their other brother, Vanya standing nearby for support as well as Luther stared at the screen in shock and horror.

'Why would it show them that, let them see me as the monster I am now?' Luther asked.

"Luther, I know what you're thinking, it was obvious on your face on the tv and it's obvious now, we don't think any different of you, you know? You're still our brother." Vanya told him with a small smile. These last few episodes had helped her a fair bit with bonding finally with her siblings and getting over her past issues with them.

"You don't get it, I am one." Luther said.

"No, you're not." Allison said firmly, taking over from Vanya. "Now, let's just finish this, can we?"

The episode opened with Luther lying on his bed, before starting his day, looking like his old self. He checked in on all the other rooms, seeing them deserted, as he lived alone in the manor, with just his Father, Mother and Pogo for company.

"Damn, that's kinda sad." Klaus remarked as Luther glared at him. "Hey, I'm feeling sorry for you, big guy, don't worry." Klaus smiled at him.

"Attention Master Luthor! Mission Alert!" Came Pogo's voice over the tannoy, before Luther stood before Reginald in his costume, Reginald giving him his briefing.

"You don't have to call me by my number anymore."

"Why not?"

"Because I'm the only one left." Luther told him, before Reginald dismissed him.

"Why did you stay, Number One?" Diego asked. "We all left, we all chose to become our own people, free of all of this, why couldn't you give up being Number One?"

"Because it was what we were born to do, Diego." Luther said. "Even if the rest of you wanted to turn your backs on it, I couldn't."

The screen faded to dark before gunshots could be heard, then Luther was seen on a stretcher, Grace and Reginald rushing him into the Academy medical wing, Luther struggling to breathe.

"Luther!" Allison screamed, looking at the screen.

"Number Three!" Reginald snapped. "Number One is still here, kindly cease your emotional outbursts."

"Are you ok, Luther?" Five of all people asked, a soft look on his face as Luther looked at him, before nodding. He very nearly wasn't and he would never blame his father for the decision he made to save his life.

Trying but failing to restart his heart, Reginald called for the serum from Pogo, who looked shocked before handing it over, Reginald injecting Luther, and then all of them leaving Luther alone. Luther awoke much later, to find his entire body covered in hair, and himself much taller, letting out a scream.

"I imagine it was a shock." Klaus joked, seeing Luther give a small smile, as Ben gave Klaus a thumbs up for the attempt.

Luther awoke to find Allison holding his arm, turning to face away from her, she told him to come with her, finding Grace dead in the hallway, her circuits still exposed. Luther and Allison expressed their regret about what they wanted to do, and their sorrow for what Diego would feel once he knew. The two of them talked some more on their own personal history, with Luther explaining what had happened to make him look that way, before he told her to leave him alone.

"I'm sorry, Allison." Luther said, looking at her.

"I get it, Luther." Allison reassured him. "You're under a lot of stress."

The scene changed (I hate repeating this constantly, apologies for it always cropping up) to show Vanya awakening on a sofa, with Leonard in the next room, pouring her some coffee and reminding her about her rehearsal. Vanya stressed about missing her meds, with Leonard reassuring her that a single day would be fine.

"See! He's not so bad, is he?" Vanya asked, as Allison, Klaus and Diego especially still looked uneasy. They didn't want to bring it up again though without rock solid proof, otherwise Vanya wouldn't listen, so they absently nodded.

"Hey, let's make a deal, around me you don't have to apologise just for existing." He said, before saying he would walk her, even if it was out of his way. As they walked, they talked about his past and the orchestra, with Leonard joking that he could try unseat Helen as first chair. Leonard invited her for dinner again, before leaving her to the concert.

"Well I did owe him that date from the day before." Vanya said. "Since you interrupted it with the family meeting, Allison."

"I guess so." Allison admitted.

The screen showed Cha-Cha throttling Klaus, before realising that all it was doing was making Klaus erect, dropping the method as Klaus joked about it.

"Eww!"

"Gross!"

"Klaus!"

Various people exclaimed as Klaus grinned at the screen. "That'll show those two."

"You do know you're disgusting, right?" Ben asked as Klaus hissed at him.

"Does Ben agree with us?" Five asked, noticing how Klaus was acting.

"I wonder why everyone is against me with this." Klaus mused aloud.

"I'm the one person in that house that nobody will notice is gone." Klaus laughed at them, before they tried to waterboard him, that also failing miserably.

"Klaus..." Vanya said sadly, seeing the hurt on his face.

"Master Klaus, you know that's not true, we all care about you, right?" Pogo questioned him, a sad look on his face. How had he failed these children so badly?

"I know." Klaus lied.

Hazel and Cha-Cha talked about how Klaus was insane, before Hazel made it about management at the Commission screwing them over, Cha-Cha eventually managing to get Hazel back aboard for the torture.

"Oh, fuck you two." Ben growled, Klaus beaming at him as he did.

The scene changed to show Diego lying outside a house, before Patch left, noticing him there, and talking to him about the case, Diego realising it was Five the assassins were after, he told her how his mother had died the night before, with her noting how close they were. Diego told her that one of the masked attackers was a woman, and that they had come to Diego, he hadn't sought them out. He asked Patch to try things his way, she refused, and he noted it was no wonder they didn't last.

"What did happen between the two of you?" Klaus asked with a wink.

"A story for another time." Diego chuckled.

Allison entered a dingy apartment, noting it was Vanya's, as she saw a man stalking through the kitchen, attacking him as he passed her, she noted it was Leonard.

"See what we meant!" Allison said. "That's creepy, Vanya, what was he doing in your apartment without you being there?"

"I don't know." Vanya admitted. "I'm sure he has an explanation though, Allison."

She asked why Leonard was there, before he turned and asked about her being there, noting that she had argued with Vanya the day before, when he decided to quickly leave.

"Wow, he's a real sleazeball." Five noted as Vanya frowned at him as well.

Lance from Meritech was walking his dog when Five put a knife to his throat, demanding to know the truth about the eyeball, Lance admitted he committed fraud, and the eyeball may already exist off the books, with Five demanding Lance take him to the lab to get the list of buyers.

"So, he's a criminal then." Diego cracked his knuckles.

"I need him, so let's leave any violence for now, shall we, Diego?" Five said to him.

Luther searched Five's room to try find out where Five was, only to be disturbed by Diego, Luther asking if Diego knew about Grace, before Diego shot back that Luther got what he wanted. Diego told Luther that what he does is save the day, heading to find Five, Luther saying that last he checked, Diego was a janitor. Diego belittled him for living on the Moon for four years, the two of them riling each other up, with Diego asking if nature shows turned Luther on and Luther asking if Diego thought Pogo was just an animal until Pogo put a stop to it, shaming both of them.

"You two need to work out that sexual tension." Klaus said, wiggling his eyebrows as Luther and Diego both glared at him.

"That is just wrong, Klaus." Diego said, shaking his head.

The scene changed to Hazel and Cha-Cha arguing, before Ben spoke to Klaus, noting withdrawals were starting, asking about the dead Russian lady in the corner. Hazel and Cha-Cha deciding to find out about Klaus, crushing all of his drugs in an effort to torture him, before eating his chocolate they found.

"You gonna tell them that it's special chocolate?" Ben asked.

"Not until they're high as kites." Klaus remarked.

"That's...pretty smart, actually." Five grudgingly admitted.

"I do have my moments." Klaus grinned.

Klaus broke at that, telling Hazel and Cha-Cha that although he didn't know where Five was, he knew Five was rambling about stopping the apocalypse ever since he had returned from the Commission.

"I take it back, you can't let them know what I'm trying to do, I need to keep the Commission as far off of my back as I can." Five said.

The scene changed to Hazel and Cha-Cha, clearly high, at Meritech, dancing and looking at all the eyeballs before changing to Luther and Diego trying to get into Five's van, before it went back to the assassins, setting fire to the building and leaving as Luther and Diego poured over Five's notes. As Five and Lance reached Meritech, they found the building ablaze, the explosion blasting Five backwards and costing him his only lead to find the owner of the eyeball.

"NO! What did I tell you, DO. NOT. TELL. THEM," Five said. "I need to find out what is on Lance's list before they can try do it this time around." Five muttered, mostly to himself, ignoring the looks that his siblings were giving him.

Allison waited for Vanya, opening a magazine that had an interview with Patrick in, before telling Vanya that Grace was dead, before trying to apologise for what she had said the night before, returning Vanya her keys and offering to get a drink with her.

"I'm sorry, Allison." Vanya said to her. "It can't be easy, with what's happened. Maybe we can all talk to Patrick, help you with it?"

"Maybe." Allison said, still pretty sure that this would make it far worse than any better.

Hazel and Cha-Cha talked about the world ending, and realising why they had been sent after Five. Cha-Cha seemingly fine with ending the world, Hazel looking doubtful.

"At least Hazel has some morals, buried deep down." Diego said.

"Cha-Cha was always the most ruthless of the two." Five noted. "Hazel is pretty good, from what I've heard."

The scene changed to a flashback with Klaus in the Mausoleum, before Ben pulled him out of it, talking Klaus through his withdrawals, as a cleaning lady missed Klaus entirely and finished cleaning the room, leaving a screw on the table that had fallen from a vent. Ben then shamed Klaus, for taking for granted what he had lost with life.

"Number Six is correct, Number Four. You will do better in future, learn to harness and control your powers." Reginald said as Ben mimed retching behind him.

"I take it back, anything that makes him happy is clearly wrong." Ben told Klaus.

Patch was investigating at Meritech when she noticed that a van had an address with the phrase "Your brother says Hi" on it, as Diego and Luther went to a public library to try and find Five, discussing why Diego left the Academy, and how the rest of them chose to move on with their lives, whilst Luther couldn't, eventually finding Five drunk on the top floor, holding Dolores in his hands.

Vanya and Allison sat at a bar, Allison telling Vanya how weird Leonard was being, and that sometimes men are just bad, with Vanya saying she likes Leonard. Allison admits that she liked Luther, with Vanya stating how at least she knew, and likely everyone did, the two of them deciding to agree on "Yay sisters" in the end.

Klaus was dragged out by Hazel and Cha-Cha, begging them to let him go, they stated how they wanted his brother, and was he there. Klaus looked at Ben, who winked, stating they would need to be more specific.

As Hazel and Cha-Cha got into position to ambush Five, Klaus had another flashback to his training with Reginald and the horrors he experienced.

"That's what Dad did to you?" Luther asked, horrified as Allison looked like she would be sick and Vanya just stared at the screen in horror, not realising how horrible it must have been for Klaus.

"I did what I had to do to make you all strong enough for your destiny." Reginald weakly argued as the siblings all shot hateful glares at him, even Luther did.

"I have just two words to say to you, and I'm sure I speak for us all." Five told him. "Fuck you."

Patch then came into the hotel, demanding to search it, the motel owner telling her to return with a warrant, and leaving her to the front desk, where she phoned the gym, asking for Diego, telling Al to get him to meet her at the motel, that she was going to do it his way. Diego and Luther walked with Five, with Five drunkenly rambled about going through puberty and how he was the four horsemen of the apocalypse.

Klaus and Ben discussed the Russian, and how she was a victim of the assassins, that they could use her against them. Learning that her name was Zoya Popova, Klaus called her that, confusing the two assassins.

"That's a pretty good plan, always knew Ben at least had brains." Five admitted once more.

.

Allison and Vanya headed back to Vanya's, Vanya finding a bouquet of flowers left for her by Leonard, saying "I like you and I'm not sorry". Vanya called Leonard to thank him for the flowers, with Leonard saying how he was awkward with Allison before. Discussing having breakfast together, the screen showed Leonard pouring some pills down the drain, proscribed to Vanya Hargreeves.

"How….why..." Vanya said, confused at what she was seeing.

"I'm sorry, Vanya, but you can't deny, that's not right." Diego told her, as she nodded. Leonard had definitely crossed a line here.

Different ghosts spoke to Klaus, telling him what they had done to them, giving Klaus ammunition to use against Hazel and Cha-Cha. Hazel and Cha-Cha meanwhile were freaking out about what he knew about them, before Klaus said how Herr Muller was grateful that Hazel had spared his wife, before Cha-Cha dragged Hazel off to ask about that case, with Ben complimenting Klaus on his manipulation.

Cha-Cha asked Hazel about a few times they escaped, Hazel admitting he let them go, which angered Cha-Cha, before the scene changed to show Patch, still waiting for Diego at the motel, deciding to head in. Klaus then shimmied to the door whilst Hazel and Cha-Cha argued again, banging his head on the table to get Patch's attention as she passed the room.

"Are you Diego's brother?" She asked, introducing herself as Klaus nodded. As Patch helped him up, she fired as one of the assassins fired at her from the bathroom, dropping the gun and walking out of the room, Hazel raised his hands and got to his knees, as Patch came closer, Cha-Cha appeared behind her, firing several shots into her chest, dropping her. The two of them then went after Klaus, who they saw had fled into the vents. Then they realised, Klaus had their briefcase.

"PATCH!" Diego screamed as he saw her drop, the tears rolling down his face as the camera panned away from her, following the assassins.

"She'll be ok, Master Diego." Pogo assured him, hoping he was right, hoping that his young charge wouldn't lose yet another loved one like this.

Getting onto a bus, Klaus opened the briefcase, hoping for jewels or money, only to vanish in a flash of blue light.

"What happened to me?" Klaus asked, panicked.

"It's how the Commission time travels, with the briefcases," Five explained, as the others looked at him, knowing he would be the best to ask about what had just happened. "I'm not sure where it will have sent you though."

Luther put Five to bed as Diego got the message to go meet Eudora, heading to the motel, he found her dead on the floor, grabbing onto her and crying as police lights and sirens showed up in the distance, leaving her so he wouldn't be blamed, taking the receipt Hazel had left for Griddy's as the screen turned to black once more.

"Patch…." Diego cried, the tears streaming, as he stared at the screen, at the woman he loved, gone. Diego felt anger, he felt rage, he felt loss and sorrow, and then, as his siblings surrounded him, talking, their words just meaningless noise to him, Diego felt nothing.
