I regret setting this before the show now, because Klaus doesn't get the full feels having not met Dave yet. I want you, my readers, to help decide the direction for season 2. Which of these should I do:
1.) Set season 2 as if they lived through season 1, making these 10 episodes pointless
2.) Have them just watch season 2, but with no connections, same as these 10, not fully invested as they haven't lived them.
3.) Same as 2, but they get the memories of their season 1 selves, so they do at least have the emotional connection
Option 1 will probably be a new fic, and I'll write an epilogue showing the changes they made from seeing these. Option 2 or 3 will just continue this fic to 20 odd chapters.
Reginald motioned for Pogo to whisper to him as the fallout still remained from the last episode, as the others discussed what they had seen, Reginald checked in with Pogo.
"What can we do to keep this a secret? They don't know yet, but who knows when they'll find out, it seems clear they will."
"We have two options, Sir. We feign ignorance, or we admit to it now. If we admit to it now, we risk anger earlier, but maybe able to regain their trust, we deny it or ignore it, when it does come out, still the same anger, if not more, and high risk of losing their trust forever, this has proven we need the children, Sir, perhaps it is time to admit to what we did to Miss Vanya?"
"Thank you for the advice, my friend." Reginald said with a dismissive smile, Pogo simply nodding after staring agape for a moment.
'I'll get them under control when it comes out, but for now, why risk further division?' Reginald thought to himself.
The scene opened up to show a group of men smoking outside of a tent, before "A Shau Valley, Vietnam. 1968" appeared on the screen.
"I guess we're finally going to see where you disappeared too with the briefcase." Ben said as Klaus stared at him.
"I want to know what happened to me there to seemingly devastate me so much, and I really want to know who this Dave is and why I apparently will love him so much."
Suddenly a flash of blue lit up the tent, and Klaus was on the floor, to see Dave staring at him from his bed. Suddenly alarms and explosions ran out, as the C.O demanded Klaus get ready. Telling Dave to get Klaus equipment as they shipped out.
"Damn, he is hot." Klaus admitted, seeing Dave's half naked body as the other Klaus looked confused, with people throwing equipment to him.
Sitting on a bus, Dave asked if Klaus had just gotten there before introducing himself as Dave. The scene changed to a disco in Saigon, and Klaus and Dave dancing and drinking, before they began kissing behind a curtain, when Klaus was dragged out of his daydreams as he flushed his pills away.
"I'm glad to see you're trying to get yourself sober once again, Number Four." Reginald said approvingly. He needed to get leverage once again on his children, and maybe making inroads with those most unruly of them would help him.
Luther opened the door and told Klaus to come down for a family meeting, Klaus claiming he was busy, Luther telling him the world would end in three days. The scene moved to Allison asking again if it was three days, with Klaus remarking Five had mentioned an apocalypse was on its way, with Allison questioning Five's sanity.
"Thanks, Allison." Five glared at her.
"I'm sorry, Five, but if we hadn't seen all of this, I'm sure we would all think the same now." Allison told him.
"Fair point, it is a lot to take in." Five accepted.
Luther explained that Hazel and Cha-Cha were trying to stop him from preventing the apocalypse, Diego's eyebrow arching at this as he clarified that it was because of all of this that they were there. Allison asked what Five saw, with Luther explaining they they all fought against whoever was responsible, before attempting to move them on to a plan of action, with the others returning to what had happened, before Luther, sheepishly, admitted that they had all died trying to prevent the apocalypse the first time.
"Ah yes, nothing says inspiration like telling us we all tried before and died." Klaus remarked as Diego grinned.
"Our brave Number One, leading us boldly." He replied as Luther flushed.
The scene changed to show Hazel and Cha-Cha entering a new motel room, before a report came in from the Commission, telling them that the contract to kill Five was cancelled and to await further instructions. Hazel remarked how Five must have made amends with the Commission.
"I guess I'm just that good." Five said.
"What will they do now?" Vanya asked.
"Probably be given a new assignment and sent a new briefcase once the Commission realises they don't have one." Five explained. "After a harsh chastising, naturally, for losing the first case."
Hazel and Cha-Cha began to argue about their priorities before Hazel stormed out of the room, Cha-Cha was distracted by another message from the Commission, promising her an extraction back to HQ once she killed Hazel.
"Wow, that is cold, I guess the Commission do know about the briefcase and are pissed that he left it lying around?" Luther asked Five, who looked introspective at it all.
Five knew that wasn't quite the style the Commission used, if he had to hazard a guess, he'd say he sent the message, but why would he need too?
Five and The Handler walked towards a scenic townhouse, with the words "1955" displayed on the screen as The Handler told him she had never met anyone quite like Five in her time, remarking how he reminded her of herself, and that he would make a fine successor to herself one day.
"Is that meant to be a compliment, or an insult?" Klaus asked.
"A backhanded compliment, as well as a threat." Five said. "The woman is the epitome of a viper, anything she says, she has at least three hidden meanings before you get to what she actually means."
Five asked about his siblings and his new body, with her telling him to be patient, that they had all the time in the world to do that, going to explain more about the inner workings of the Commission and his new role within it.
"So, yeah, I was right in my thoughts, she's lying, she has no intention of saving any of you, probably won't give me a new body, either." Five told the others.
"What makes you so sure?" Vanya asked.
"Insisting on patience. She would be doing it now if she was going to go through with it. She wants you all to die in it, I just need to work out why." Five said.
"Well I'm sure you'll figure it, Master Five." Pogo reassured him.
"Thanks, Pogo." Five shot him a small smile. "She's a very crafty opponent though."
The Handler introduced him to other case managers, before giving him the case of the Hindenburg and how to cause the disaster before leaving him to it.
"So, you get to figure out how to ensure the Hindenburg blows up? Can't you stop it?" Allison asked.
"We know it happens, and I need to get their trust, so, sadly not. I'll probably work out a way to blow it up." Five said.
The scene changed to show Vanya and Leonard sneaking into the Academy via the back, with Leonard encouraging her to go tell her siblings about getting first chair, and inviting them to go watch her, as she went first, he smirked behind her back.
"Ok, he definitely deserves a slap." Allison told her. "Though I'm proud you managed to get first chair, sis. Hopefully this time, you can just unseat Helen, with that creep locked up, and then we can come all watch you perform?" Allison asked, as Vanya gave a small smile, still disturbed to find out that Helen, even if the two of them didn't interact at all, would be killed by a creep trying to get in her good graces.
"Yeah, we'll all put on our finery for the event." Klaus beamed, as Diego, Luther and even Five nodded.
As they walked through the halls, he asked why Vanya wasn't in any portraits, staying behind to look at figurines of the Academy, before Vanya dragged him on, interrupting their family meeting.
"Why is he so interested in the figurines of us all?" Diego remarked, thinking.
"Probably wants a keepsake from the time he got into the Academy." Allison frowned.
Allison said she would fill Vanya in later as it was for family only, angering Vanya, who said she was always being left out of everything and that of course they couldn't have her there if it was some important matter for the family. Leonard following behind her, before telling her he would catch upto her as he left his jacket. Allison headed after her, but Luther stopped her, saying they needed to find out how to stop the apocalypse, informing the others that it may be something to do with the Moon.
"I'm sorry, Vanya!" Allison said, as Vanya waved her away.
"We've been over this, Allison, it's ok, I agree you should have explained better, but I had just met him, I shouldn't be trying to force you all to let him into family discussions." Vanya told her. "Did anyone see him put his coat down anywhere though in that video?"
"I didn't see him with it when he came down, he must have left it by the figurines, probably as an excuse to go steal them." Luther growled.
"I doubt it's to do with the Moon though, is the apocalypse." Diego said.
"It might be, I mean, why else would Dad have sent me there?" Luther asked. "Tell them, Dad."
"Number Two, I sent Number One to the Moon for important research, whether that is to do with the apocalypse or not, you do not need to be privy to such information." Reginald explained, Diego frowning at him, Luther and Pogo both looked uncertain to be keeping Diego out of the loop, but for very different reasons.
Luther went on to say that this time they would win as they had Five as well, with Allison asking where he was, whilst above them, Leonard grabbed his jacket and opened the glass cabinet with the figurines, taking the figurine of Reginald with him as Diego headed off to go find Hazel and Cha-Cha and avenge Patch.
"Hey!" Allison said, seeing Leonard taking the figurine of Reginald.
"What does he want with that?" Diego mused.
"Forget him for now, he's just some creep." Five stated. "Diego, please tell me if these events play out roughly the same, you will not go after those two? They will kill you."
"I can take care of myself, Five." Diego shot back. If they did hurt Patch again, there wouldn't be a place nor a time they could hide from him, especially with Five's powers, he knew that he could get Five to help him, if it came down to it. He would make them pay dearly if they harmed her this time.
Ben spoke to Klaus, telling him he didn't have to go through withdrawals alone if he wanted to see Dave again, before Klaus headed off after Diego, saying he was giving up as well. Allison telling Luther she was heading back to LA, she had to see her daughter again if the world was ending, "custody be damned."
"At least Ben is looking out for you." Allison said.
"I'm disappointed, you're all abandoning your duties to your fellow man and to the world itself in favour of your own petty desires." Reginald spat at them. "At least Number One and Number Five have their priorities, even if they're somewhat skewed."
"If the world does look set to be doomed, and we can't stop it, you can bet I'll be getting to my daughter." Allison spat at him.
"You can bet we will all go with her too." Klaus said as the others nodded, even if Five looked a bit uneasy.
"Let's try save it first though, rather than just giving up entirely." Five insisted.
Vanya and Leonard walked through the streets, Vanya complaining about her family as screeching could be heard behind them, Leonard getting her to look to see all the lampposts they had passed were bent inwards, and that as she calmed down, the rain stopped. Vanya remarked it couldn't be her, as Leonard said they would head back to his.
"Wait..." Vanya said, looking shocked.
"You do have powers!" Klaus remarked, as everyone's jaws hung open.
"Wow, you're pretty powerful, Vanya." Five said.
"Why weren't you there helping us to try stop the apocalypse the first time?" Luther wondered.
"Hang on...you stopped taking your anxiety meds and you felt better, then suddenly this happened?" Diego asked, turning a suspicious gaze onto Reginald, who simply stared back. The others caught onto this line of questioning and looked at Reginald as well, mostly in shock, but Vanya's gaze held a hint of anger in it.
"You knew?" Vanya asked, her soft voice cutting through the air like a knife, as she stared at Reginald, eyes burning with white hot anger as she could feel tears welling up in the corner of her eyes. He knew, he knew she was special all along, and he had taken this from her?
"Number Seven..." Reginald started, in a softer tone than any of them had ever heard him speak in.
"YOU KNEW!" Vanya screamed at him.
"Miss Vanya, please, your father only did what he felt was right." Pogo tried to placate her, as she turned her anger onto him.
"You knew as well?" She asked, her voice dripping with fury. "Did anyone else?"
"No, Miss Vanya." Pogo admitted, lowering his head in shame. "Grace knew, but the knowledge was removed from her, and your siblings had no idea, as you can see."
"You're lucky I don't have my powers right now." Vanya said softly. "I'm that angry, I don't know what I'd do if I did."
"Vanya!" Allison exclaimed, shocked at what she was saying.
"Please, Miss Vanya, if you must be angry at anyone, please let it be at me. We only did this to help you, to try protect you." Pogo insisted. "But I bear the responsibility, I could have told you at any time what has happened, I didn't." Pogo said, ashamed.
"What about you, Dad? Vanya asked. "Got anything to say in your own defence?"
"This is why I did it. You would be a threat to yourself and others, if I let you go around with your powers, as untrained as they were. I tried to train you, Number Seven, you were too powerful. Your medication suppressed these powers, allowing you to live a much happier and safer life." Reginald argued in his defence.
"What do you mean, I'd remember having these powers if we trained them..." Vanya said, her anger subsiding as confusion overtook it.
Allison gasped as a memory returned to her, Luther and Klaus looking over at her with worry.
"Allison, are you alright?" Luther asked.
"Oh God." Allison replied. "When we were about three or four, remember Vanya was ill for a few weeks?"
"Yeah, vaguely." Klaus interjected, wondering why this was relevant at all.
"Dad called me down to a room I'd never seen before or since, with Mom telling me I was needed to help Vanya, he...he got me to rumour her." Allison admitted, the memory and her guilt hitting her, just as Vanya turned to her, having heard the last part.
"What did you rumour her about?" Five asked, looking shocked and sickened by the idea as he and Diego also focused on what Allison was saying.
"That she thought she was ordinary..." Allison admitted, dropping her gaze to her lap.
"You knew?" Vanya asked, her voice turning soft again, and Allison could tell she was glaring at her.
"I can't excuse it, I was just a kid, that's all I can say, I didn't know what I was doing fully, and I'll hate myself for it forever now I remember it, but no, I can't excuse it. I knew, I didn't remember, but I knew." Allison admitted.
There was silence for a few moments, and Allison chanced looking up to see Vanya staring at her, with tears in her eyes, and Allison realised she also was crying. Then, Vanya spoke.
"I forgive you, Allison."
Then she was shocked to find Vanya moving towards her, her sisters arms wrapping around her, and her arms around Vanya in return. As they broke apart, Vanya smiled at her, before glaring at Pogo and Reginald.
"I doubt I'll forgive either of you for lying to me for my entire life." Vanya simply said, focusing back on the screen. Her siblings looked at one another, before all moving slightly closer to Vanya, moving away from Reginald and Pogo, silently offering her their support.
The scene showed Klaus visit Diego, and ask Diego to tie him up, that he needed someone to make him sober by preventing him from getting to any drugs, Diego agreeing to do so in the end.
"Thank you, Diego." Klaus said earnestly to his brother, as Diego just nodded, the two of them still pretty shocked by the revelation that their father had lied about their sister for nearly thirty years.
It changed to show Five working at the Commission, with the other case managers trying to be friendly, Five demanding silence and ignoring them, before heading off to post his plan to cause the Hindenburg disaster, heading to the tube rooms to send it to a field agent, the Handler interrupted him, telling him it was procedure to give it to Gloria, who would use the tubes to send the dispatches.
"That's interesting." Five noted with a slight twitch. Maybe he would have a plan after all for sowing chaos and leaving the Commission playing catchup again.
Once Five explained his plan for the Hindenburg, Gloria and the Handler laughed, before the Handler took him back to the other managers, praising his work in front of them. As they all departed for lunch, Five headed over to Dot's desk and swiped the file on the apocalypse. Heading to the toilet to read it, the Handler walked in, talking to him as they sat there, with her giving him a vague threat.
"Was that a threat?" Klaus laughed. "I've heard scarier threats from Ben."
"She may look like a pencil pusher but believe me, she's far more dangerous than Hazel and Cha-Cha." Five assured them. "She can't be underestimated."
The scene moved to Hazel and Cha-Cha exploring the woods, with Cha-Cha saying the briefcase was in the woods and that they had to search, discussing what would happen if they didn't find the briefcase, Hazel saying he was tired of working for the Commission, that the two of them should just stay in 2019, maybe help the Academy to stop the apocalypse. As Hazel turned around, Cha-Cha aimed her gun at him, saying they had no choice but to see it through. A gunshot was heard and Cha-Cha was seen driving back to the motel, putting her head on the steering wheel.
"HOLY, SHE KILLED HIM?!" Klaus remarked, stunned.
"No, surely she wouldn't be that devoted to the job?" Luther questioned.
"She was pretty fanatical, from what I heard." Five explained. "I'm sure she would have killed him, but no, she was wavering in her belief in the Commission, I don't think she did kill him."
With Hazel sat in the seat next to her. As they got out, Hazel said he was going to get food whilst she could go relax, as he headed off, she stared after him.
"See, I told you." Five stated.
"At least there isn't yet another death to worry about." Vanya said.
Luther meanwhile was searching his fathers things, as Pogo asked what he was looking for, when Luther explained he was looking for the moon research, Pogo pretended he had no idea where they were, before Luther yelled that Pogo would know, with a sigh, Pogo pointed towards the floor, Luther lifting the carpet to find a trapdoor, opening it he found all of the Moon research, unopened.
"What's happening?" Luther asked, seeing his other self confused. "Why is all the research buried under there?"
"Master Luther..." Pogo began gently, seeing Luther begin to freak out like his on screen self.
"No, Pogo, is this true? Why would you not open any of it, Dad?" Luther asked Reginald, who closed his eyes, shocking Luther, he knew this was an admission of guilt.
"Why not...WHY NOT?!" Luther asked, as Pogo explained this was the only way Reginald felt he could give Luther's life purpose, Luther broke down, asking couldn't he cut it, was he a failure, Pogo trying to reassure him that it wasn't the case, before Luther demanded Pogo leave him alone.
"No!" Reginald barked. "You are not a failure, Number One. You truly had a purpose up there."
"Then what was it? It looks to me like you just decided you couldn't be bothered to keep me around, that you shoved me somewhere so you wouldn't have to look at the monster you created!" Luther protested.
"I did it to protect you, to keep you safe. I had almost lost you once, the world would one day need you. I needed to ensure you couldn't be lost, like Number Six was!"
Allison looked at a locket she had saying "A+L" and remembering a time when they were children, when Allison and Luther snuck off onto the roof together for a picnic and a date, exchanging gifts, but before they could dance with one another, Reginald discovered them, being shocked at what he saw and forbidding them from doing this ever again.
"We never did finish that feast." Allison said, remembering it, as Luther gave her a shaky smile.
"Maybe we can one day."
As the scene changed, Klaus had Diego tie him up, saying he would be out if he saw a boner. Klaus admitted he wanted to get high, as Diego expected he would, but he needed to do something, and he needed to be sober to do so, when Diego asked what was her name, Klaus said that his name was Dave, and he was kind and strong and vulnerable and beautiful.
"I'm sorry, Klaus." Diego told him.
"The me on the screen needs to do this, he needs to see him." Klaus told him.
Ben looked on sadly, as Klaus explained how he fought, Diego said he may as well have some brother time, as everyone he likes is already dead, Klaus asking if he meant the cop, Diego saying it was Grace as well.
"Diego..." Vanya said, stretching out a hand to him, as he took her hand in his and held it.
"Thanks, Vanya." Diego said to her with a smile.
Vanya and Leonard watched the news report of her street destruction, as he tried to keep her calm, discussing her powers with her, as Vanya continued to deny it was her and saying she was sorry to disappoint him, Leonard saying that she couldn't if she tried. Vanya stated how she was sorry he was with the ordinary one, Leonard saying he wouldn't describe her as ordinary, and that he would help her figure whatever this was out, as a team, saying that he liked weird when she called herself weird.
"Why is he being so creepily nice?" Allison asked, her skin crawling at the sight of Leonard and his clearly do gooder act.
"Sure, he's a creep, but maybe he is also a sorta nice guy?" Vanya asked, not believing that this could all be an act by Leonard. "Perhaps he genuinely does care for that me?"
"I'd say he did, but it's been a handful of days since you first met, the covetous looks he keeps giving you, the fact he stole the old man's figurine, I'd say he is trying to get an in with the Academy, using you. Maybe a super fan?" Diego said, glaring at the screen.
"Personally I want to know why he's in these so much?" Klaus asked.
Five and the Handler discussed his new body and the sweets the Commission made, as well as explaining her collection of weapons from her travels, explaining that they weren't supposed to take such souvenirs but it wasn't like Hitler would need the gun he used to kill himself with. Five then explained some ways to improve the Commission, with the Handler shooting them down, in a sugar coated way, before Dot interrupted, with the Handler dismissing Five. They looked over the apocalypse case file together as he left.
"I think they may be onto you, Five." Luther told him.
"I've got a plan, I'm sure of it." Five reassured him. "Those weapons especially could come in useful for me."
"The gun that killed Hitler? I know if I touched it, I'd probably end up summoning him." Klaus joked.
"Well let's make sure that doesn't happen." Diego told him.
As the scene moved on, Allison told Luther she was going to the airport, before Luther explained that Reginald had wasted four years of Luther's life, that he never cared about what was going on with the Moon, it was just to get Luther away. Luther told Allison he couldn't stop the apocalypse and he was done, with Allison asking to show him something, following her, she took him back to their old hideout in the attic, remarking it was still there.
"It's still there?" The two of them asked, surprised that Reginald hadn't taken it down.
"I didn't see the point for taking it down, you two had left it alone, you knew not to return, it served no purpose for anybody to waste their time with it." Reginald said dismissively.
Deciding to finish the feast, the two of them remarked that two decade old drink tasted bad, as Luther destroyed the tent with his sheer bulk, Allison saying how this could be the last time they ever do anything like this. Luther noticed she was wearing the locket he gave her, noting how she had once promised to never take it off.
"Aww, sweet!" Klaus crowed as Luther and Allison blushed, Ben shaking his head at him.
Allison said that now Reginald was gone, they could go anywhere they wanted in the house or courtyard, before Luther said the real world, with her agreeing. They decided to leave the Academy together.
"Yay, fuck Dad!" Klaus clapped, Diego and Vanya nodding. Seriously, fuck Reginald. Reginald decided to wisely stay quiet from this particular outburst.
Cha-Cha waited at the motel for Hazel, thinking back on letting him live and the words he said about leaving the Commission, deciding to trust her partner, she burnt the note the Commission sent her, heading to Griddy's to get some donuts to surprise him, she went around the back to see him with Agnes, angered, she watched him drive away.
"Damn, it looked like the two of them would give it up, now she's going to go ahead and try kill him, isn't she?" Diego asked.
"Hazel can take care of himself, it would probably help us a lot if he killed her, or they killed each other and stayed out of our way." Five remarked. "Sadly, fate doesn't like us that much."
Diego tied Klaus back up as he tried to get out of being forced to sobriety, even with one arm, Diego forced Klaus to stay still, with Klaus telling Diego he would conjure Patch if he let him go, Diego telling Klaus he didn't want to see her until he could tell her he killed Hazel and Cha-Cha. As Diego left, Klaus recalled the final day in 1968, avoiding a shot from the Vietcong forces, and finding Dave hit by a bullet, calling for a medic, holding onto Dave as he died in his arms.
"I wouldn't want to see her, not until I've got Cha-Cha at least in the ground." Diego told everyone as they watched. "I would want to be able to tell Patch that I avenged her, that the bad guys couldn't hurt anyone else."
"But would Patch want you to kill, especially in her name?" Vanya asked him softly, and Diego sagged, knowing she was right.
"Oh God, I'm so sorry, Klaus." Allison said, putting a hand on his shoulder as she saw the other Klaus holding Dave as he died.
"I know I haven't lived this, I don't know this Dave, but I feel sad, is that normal?" Klaus asked, his eyes stinging as he watched the man he would apparently love, dying in his arms, seeing his other self rocking him, screaming his name, crying for a medic, to do the impossible and save one who was already dead.
"It's more normal than anything else we do." Allison assured him quietly. "You may not have met Dave, at least not yet, because seeing this, we'll have to make sure you do meet him, but that's real love, it's clear to see just from these few snapshots of the two of you together."
"Thanks, Ally." Klaus smiled, wiping his eyes before any tears could come out.
Diego headed towards the Academy doors before noticing Grace was cleaning, stunned to see she was alive again, he asked how she was walking, with Grace joking with him. Grace informed Diego of what she remembered, with him asking what she knew, before she could say anything, she saw Pogo watching her and claimed she remembered nothing.
"Mom..." Diego breathed. Sure, he knew she had been repaired, and she hadn't died in their timeline, but seeing her walking about, interacting with him again, it made his heart soar.
She wondered about heading to the park, with Diego telling her that she could do whatever she wanted, and deciding to go to the park with her.
"Last days on Earth and you choose to go to the park with Mom?" Luther asked him.
"Yeah, so?" Diego challenged him.
"I'm glad someone is looking out for her." Luther told him with a smile, as Diego nodded. "I'd hate for either her or you to be alone at the end, even if she is a robot."
"She cares, Luther, she feels. She may have started out as a robot, but all that love we got from her, like I said to Allison in these videos, that was her, not Dad."
Luther and Allison sat on a bench, eating junk food and joking with each other, Luther saying part of him could tell everyone that they were about to die, Allison saying part of her wished she didn't know, asking what life would be like if she didn't leave the Academy, Luther asking what it would be like if he had.
"You mean that?" Allison asked him.
"I know I would." Luther said. "I can't believe I was stupid enough to stick around for so long. The world needs us, sure, but it needs our powers, not to be at Dad's whims." Luther explained.
"Maybe it would have been better had we stayed?" Allison asked as Luther gave her a look.
"Do you really think we could have changed Dad had you all stayed?"
"No." Allison admitted.
Allison stating she was grateful to Reginald as without him, she never would have met Luther, checking the time, she noted she had to leave, kissing Luther on the cheek, before Luther chased after her, stopping her, and asking her to dance with him. As they stared into each others eyes, they saw lights around them, as Luther looked to himself as his old self again, the two of them dressed up to party as they danced.
"Wow, looking sharp there big boy." Diego teased as Luther flushed.
"Well I think it looks handsome, such graceful dancing." Allison told Luther, gazing at him as he stared back at her.
As they finished their dance, gazing into each other's eyes, the two of them kissed.
"Woooo!" Klaus called out as they saw it, looking at each other, and the screen, Luther and Allison moved towards one another in the room, lifting her into the air, Luther held Allison, as their lips met. As they broke apart, they saw Klaus, Diego, Pogo, Five and Vanya smiling at them, unseen, Ben was also grinning at their happiness.
(I'm mixed on Luther/Allison but there's no reason they wouldn't go for it really at this point in their lives)
As they finished their kiss, Allison said how she compared every man she ever met to Luther and they all fell short, Luther saying he was an idiot to let her go, and Allison saying if they left now, they could make the plane, as the two of them headed off for their happy but short future.
"Like that, you two are done trying?" Five asked, exasperated. This future could definitely not happen, not if they were all giving up on saving the world in it, he needed them all if they were to stop whoever or whatever caused it, the six of them, since Vanya had powers, he'd need to find a way to train her up in them quickly to help.
"Well, we aren't. But I'm not surprised those versions of us are." Luther said, still holding onto Allison's waist.
The scene changed back to the Commission, Five spying on Gloria as Dot informed her of a new message for Hazel and Cha-Cha from the Handler, saying that the Handler knew Five was up to something. As Gloria headed off, Five knocked her out and stole the tube, seeing the message reading "REASSIGNMENT: PROTECT HAROLD JENKINS. writing his own messages to them.
"This is it." Five breathed. "Harold Jenkins causes the apocalypse. Now all we need to do is find them and stop them."
"How will we find who they are? There must be hundreds if not thousands of Harold Jenkins in the city." Diego said.
"I'm sure we will think of something, this will show us no doubt, and then we can stop them when we leave." Vanya told him.
As Cha-Cha entered the motel room, gun drawn, and shot into the bathroom, where the shower was running, she pulled back the curtain, to see Hazel wasn't there, on the wall was a message to Hazel from the Commission, offering him immediate extraction if he killed Cha-Cha. Realising her mistake too late, Hazel hit her in the back of the head with his gun, knocking her out.
"Yeah I thought so, I've sent the messages, getting them to turn on each other." Five said as the others looked at him.
"Nicely done." Diego nodded.
As Five sent the messages, he was visited by the Handler, who asked what he was doing and where Gloria was, seeing her stir, the Handler remarked on what a disappointment to her Five was.
"I'm sure he isn't too hurt by that." Klaus laughed.
The Handler told Five that he was a pragmatist, and that he had to shed this notion of stopping the apocalypse, Five stated that she made him a killer, she said that she merely pointed him in a direction, firing at Five as he jumped.
"Be careful!" Vanya called out.
"I'm sure I'll be fine." Five reassured her. "I can dodge her attacks with my jumping."
"Until you run out of energy." Diego noted worriedly.
In the park, Grace admitted that she and Pogo had been lying to the children and she needed to tell the truth.
"What are you lying about?" Diego turned to Pogo.
"I imagine it's the same thing as the last episode, I don't know, Master Diego." Pogo lied again.
As The Handler continued to fire at Five, the rest of the Commission panicked at the gunshots.
"Good, let them run." Five grinned.
Vanya found Reginald's book under Leonard's bed and began to flick through it, realising the truth about herself and that Reginald and Leonard had lied to her and had manipulated her.
"Finally! Your other self sees the truth!" Allison cried happily.
"I wonder what I'll do with him." Vanya said.
"I'm sure it'll be deserved." Allison told her.
As The Handler and Five fought, Klaus began to conjure a spirit, seeing Dave smiling at him, crying in joy at his face.
"Aww." Ben grinned at Klaus. "You deserve this, bro."
The Handler asked Five if this is how he wanted his report to end, Five saying if he was done, he was done, The Handler said Five owed her a debt, as her gun refused to fire, out of bullets. Five stated he did owe a debt, but not to her, pulling out the pins on her grenades and rolling it to her, blowing her and the tube room up.
"YAY FIVE!" Klaus yelled as they saw the room explode.
"Let's just hope that keeps her down." Five said.
"I mean, she took a grenade to the face, why would she survive it?" Diego asked.
"I'm sure she hasn't, I just don't want to celebrate too early." Five replied.
Heading to the briefcase room, he blew that up too to disorient the Commission before using a case to head back to the beginning of the day, the clock rewinding as the day became the day that wasn't.
"Wait, you reset it, we all didn't live through it then?" They all asked as Five nodded.
"At least Luther and Allison figured it out this time." Five said as they both blushed.
"Wait, we won't see Leonard get his comeuppance." Klaus pouted.
"I'm sure you'll figure it out again." Five told Vanya. "Still get some justice I'm sure in these videos."
As Five dropped in one the family meeting from the morning, he remarked they had three days and who cares how Reginald messed them up. He told them he knew how to stop the apocalypse, they had to find Harold Jenkins.
"Well now all we have to do is find this guy." Klaus said. "Not too hard in a city with millions and no idea what he looks like."
"Who the hell is Harold Jenkins?" Diego asked as they all looked at Five.
