Peter glanced down at himself and snickered, seeing that Bella was right. He was filthy, caked in dirt and dust, and his clothing was torn in several spots. He lifted his head and, seeing Char, he grinned. "Come on, Char, you know I think Bella hurt my shoulder during that last fight. I really think it would be best if you joined me in the shower and rubbed it while I get clean."
Char huffed, but a smile played on her lips as she winked at Bella while clasping Peter's hand. They quickly headed off to their room. She couldn't help but smile as she led Peter into their bathroom and began helping him out of his dirty clothes. She needed to attend to that shoulder. Time was of the essence!
Chapter 32: Alice and The Major
Peter moaned, his eyes locked on the sight of his wife's mouth expertly working over his cock. For the past ten minutes, Char had been dedicated, her lips and tongue moving with a fervor that made it hard for him to focus on anything else, even the pretense of washing up. Her relentless pace sent waves of pleasure coursing through him, and when she started doing that thing with her tongue that drove him wild, he couldn't hold back any longer. He climaxed hard, his body shuddering as she eagerly swallowed every drop.
Char's eyes sparkled with mischief and satisfaction as she continued to drain Peter's magnificent long snake, milking every last bit she could out of him to add to her pleasure. Once she had finished, she slowly pulled back, letting his still hard member slip from her mouth with a pop. She looked up at him, her eyes filled with playful desire, her customary smirk firmly in place. The passion between them was electric, and the humid air of their enclosed shower was thick with their shared need.
"I hope that shoulder of yours is feeling better now, Peter." Char teased, grinning. "From that goofy smile on your face, I'm assuming it's good as new, right?" That last battle between her hubby and Bella had been a real doozy, and she always got aroused whenever she saw Peter fighting like that. God, she wanted him. Staring at his large cock right in front of her face, it was really making it hard for her to think straight.
She couldn't help but smile as she wrapped her hand around it, her small hand barely encompassing his girth. She slowly stroked it back and forth, feeling the heat of his arousal against her palm. The fire building within her was intense, a flame that only Peter could extinguish. She just wished they had more time.
Looking up at Peter's face, she could tell he was thinking the exact same thing. His eyes were dark with desire, his breath coming in short, ragged gasps. The need between them was palpable, a magnetic force pulling them closer together.
"You're a miracle worker as always, honey," Peter responded, finishing up his shower and shutting off the water. His eyes roamed over Char's naked body kneeling before him. The sight of her large breasts and hard nipples... God, he just wanted to suck on them and never stop. If only they had time for a good, hard fucking… He felt his cock getting harder as she continued to stroke him. The strain was almost painful, and he cursed the Major for calling so close to their arrival.
Peter reached down, cupping her face tenderly before leaning in to kiss her deeply. The kiss was hungry, desperate, a reflection of their mutual longing. Char moaned into his mouth, her hand continuing its slow, deliberate pace. Peter's hands roamed over her body, tracing every curve, every dip, igniting her skin with his touch.
He broke the kiss, his voice husky with need. "God, Char, I wish we had more time."
Char looked up at him, her eyes filled with the same yearning. "Me too, Peter. But we have a little time, don't we?"
Peter grinned, his hands sliding down to grip her hips, lifting her effortlessly bringing her face to his, their lips meeting in a searing kiss. The feel of her breasts pressed against his chest, the heat of her body against his, sent his senses into overdrive.
Peter's hand trailed down her back, tracing the curve of her spine before slipping around and between her legs. He lightly traced her slit, feeling her shiver with anticipation. He inserted his middle finger, moving with expert precision, and Char moaned, her hips moving in sync with his rhythm. He bent his finger just the way she loved, and her moans deepened, becoming more urgent.
Their kiss grew even more fervent, their need for each other overwhelming. Peter felt her warmth, her wetness, her desire matching his own. He could feel her muscles clenching around his finger, her body responding to every movement he made.
Peter added another finger, increasing the pressure and pace. Char's breaths came in short, ragged gasps, her body trembling with each thrust of his hand. He used his thumb to rub her clit, applying just the right amount of pressure to drive her wild. Char's moans turned into cries of pleasure, her hips bucking against his hand.
"Peter," she gasped, her voice a desperate plea. "Don't stop."
He had no intention of stopping. He wanted to push her over the edge, to make her feel as good as she had made him feel. He kissed her fiercely, their tongues dancing as his fingers continued their relentless assault. He could feel her getting closer, her body tensing as she neared her climax.
"Come for me, Char," he whispered against her lips, his voice filled with raw desire.
Char's response was immediate and explosive. She screamed, her entire body shaking as an earth-shattering orgasm ripped through her. Peter held her close, his fingers still working her as she rode out the waves of pleasure. He watched her with a mixture of awe and satisfaction, loving the way she fell apart in his arms.
As her climax subsided, Char slumped against him, her breaths coming in slow, heavy pants. Peter gently withdrew his fingers, wrapping his arms around her in a tender embrace. He leaned in closer, his lips brushing against her ear as he whispered, "Don't think that's the end of this. Later tonight, I'll make you come so many times you won't know what day it is. But for now, let's go and get ready."
Char shivered at his words, a smile playing on her lips as she nuzzled into his neck. The promise of what was to come sent a thrill through her. Peter's hands lingered on her body, reluctant to let go, but they both knew they had to get dressed for their guests.
With a final, lingering kiss, Peter reluctantly released her, their eyes locking in a shared moment of understanding and anticipation. "Tonight," he repeated, his voice low and filled with promise. Char nodded, her smile widening, and together they left the shower to get ready, the anticipation of their next encounter adding a charged energy to their movements.
A few minutes later, Peter and Char, now redressed, sat in the living room, waiting for their oldest friend to arrive. The soft sound of Bella's shower still echoed from down the hall. Peter figured she probably wanted to give Char and him some time to greet their friends before making her entrance.
His thoughts drifted back to his last battle with Bella. She was improving by leaps and bounds in such a short amount of time. He couldn't help but shudder, realizing that if she continued at her current rate, she might even be able to best him soon. The thought was both thrilling and humbling.
Regardless, both he and Char had loved teaching Bella how to fight and everything else she needed to know about being a vampire. It had been incredibly rewarding watching her transform from a clueless newb into a truly deadly fighter. It still amazed him that she had navigated the entire newborn phase and the following four years of her life all by herself.
It was clear to Peter that Bella was keeping certain aspects of her story and herself private, but then again, didn't everyone have their secrets? And if what he suspected about her was true, it would be better for everyone if she never voiced them aloud.
Peter's ruminations ceased as he heard the sound of a car coming up the driveway and stopping in front of the house. Turning to Char, he smiled. It had been several years since they had last seen the Major, and it would be nice to catch up. They stood up, making their way to the door. Opening it, they were greeted by the sight of the Major and Alice coming up the front steps to greet them.
"How they hanging, Major?" Peter called out, unable to resist. The Major was always too serious.
"Same as always, Pete," Jasper replied, a smile gracing his face as he shook Peter's hand. Meanwhile, Char enveloped Alice in a warm hug.
Jasper turned to his wife, a hint of relief in his voice. "See, Alice? I told you they were fine."
This was the second time the Major had hinted that something was amiss. He should have known it had to do with the little fortune cookie. Peter turned to Alice, who seemed genuinely relieved to see him and Char safe and sound. "What's this?" he asked, hoping for some answers.
Alice's smile reflected her relief. "Well, nothing now, I guess. But for the past six months or so, I've been trying to get a vision of you two, but mostly came up empty. I had one brief vision about three months ago, but that was it. I started to worry that something bad was going to happen and that you guys were in trouble."
"Is that why I've been getting those odd texts from you every month or so?" Char asked, smiling at her little friend.
Alice shrugged with a sheepish grin. "Yeah. I hadn't seen anything specifically bad happen to you, so I didn't want to alarm you guys. But I just felt the need to keep checking in to make sure everything was alright. Sorry, I guess I could have come up with better reasons for texting."
Peter considered Alice's troubles with her ability. While unusual, it didn't worry him too much. Her power, like his, operated on its own unpredictable schedule and couldn't be forced to work on command. "Well, we appreciate your concern, but truly, we're fine. We've actually been having a great time these past few months, as we've had a house guest staying with us. I think you two will really enjoy meeting her."
Peter had heard Bella's shower shut off a couple of minutes ago, so he knew she would be joining them soon. Char and Alice were engrossed in their conversation, and while he caught up with the Major, he heard Bella's door close and the sound of footsteps rapidly approaching. Within moments, Bella appeared, looking refreshed and ready to meet their friends.
"Ah, Major, Alice, I'd like to introduce you to our friend Bella Swan," Peter announced, watching as Bella's smile widened. She began walking toward them, ready to greet their friends, but as he observed Alice turn her head toward Bella, she suddenly let out an audible gasp, her eyes widening to the size of saucers. Alice appeared frozen, staring at Bella as silence descended upon the room. Peter saw Bella pause in reaction to Alice, a look of uncertainty crossing her face, clearly wondering if she had done something wrong.
"Alice? Alice, are you okay?" Jasper asked, his voice tinged with concern. He had never seen Alice react this way before. He gently shook her shoulder, certain she wasn't having a vision, but something else had clearly happened.
Peter watched as Alice finally blinked twice, coming out of her stupor. She quickly looked up at the Major to give him a reassuring nod that she was alright. But as she turned back to Bella, a wide smile spread across her face. "It's so nice to meet you, Bella," she said, lifting her hand. As they shook hands, Peter couldn't help but notice that the way Alice was gazing at Bella was almost reverential, as if she had just met the second coming himself.
"It's nice to meet you, Alice. And you too, Jasper. Peter and Char have told me so much about you both," Bella said, smiling warmly as she looked from Alice to Jasper.
Peter could tell that Alice was freaking Bella out a little, as she was still shaking her hand with a goofy look on her face. Knowing that the Major's wife sometimes acted a bit flighty, he figured he better save Bella. "Hey, why don't we all sit down and catch up?" he suggested, hoping to break the awkwardness.
As everyone settled onto the sofas, Peter was about to speak when he noticed a frown on the Major's face, directed inexplicably at Bella. What was with these two? Both were having such unusual reactions to her. "Problem, Major?" he asked, hopeful to diffuse any lingering tension.
Jasper glanced at his friend, his expression quickly relaxing into a smile. "No, nothing." Turning his attention back to Bella, he continued, "So, Bella, it sounds like Pete has already told you a little about us. We'd love to hear a bit about you."
Alice jumped in excitedly, "Yes, it's really nice to meet you, Bella. We don't often get the chance to meet someone new. Please, tell us a bit about yourself."
Bella smiled, a hint of amusement in her eyes. "Sure. Well, from what Peter and Char have told me, my start to vampire life was pretty unusual. I actually woke up completely alone with no idea what I had become. My entire newborn year was spent trying to control my thirst while figuring out what I had turned into." She laughed softly, adding, "I had it on even money that I was either a vampire or some sort of alien-human hybrid."
Bella got the reaction she was hoping for out of Alice, but Jasper seemed more reserved. "Luckily, I settled down pretty quickly according to Peter, and soon started living the life of a nomad. I actually didn't meet any other vampires for five years until I ran into Peter and Char in Houston six months ago. Thankfully, they were very kind and taught me all about vampirism, filling me in on everything I needed to know. They've also been teaching me how to fight."
She looked at Jasper hopefully. "Jasper, if you're up for it, I'd really love to try my hand against you. I'm always looking to improve my skills, and according to Peter, you're the best there is."
Jasper smiled at Bella, though Peter couldn't shake the feeling that his smile seemed a bit forced, and there was a hint of unease in his eyes. "I'd be happy to have some sparring sessions with you," Jasper continued. "I actually don't get the chance to fight much these days."
Alice's grin widened as she spoke. "You know, Bella, we actually have very similar stories. I also woke up as a vampire with no idea what had happened to me, and I had no memories of my human life. Without my visions to guide me, I don't know what I would have done. Unlike you, though, my visions led me to other vampires soon after I awakened."
Bella couldn't help but be intrigued by Alice. Her ability seemed almost mystical compared to her own. "Having visions of the future sounds so unusual, Alice. I hope you won't mind if I ask you some questions about how that all works later. Until I met Peter and Char, I had no idea that vampire abilities were a thing. I thought if I ever met anyone else like me, we would all be the same."
Alice's eyes sparkled as she leaned forward eagerly, nodding happily. "Of course, Bella!" Bella couldn't help but grin back. Alice's smile was truly infectious.
As Peter watched the two ladies talking, he couldn't recall a time when Alice looked as happy as she did right now, and that was really saying something.
Bella was having a great time getting to know Alice and Jasper. They had been in the living room telling stories for hours now, and it was fascinating to hear how other vampires lived. Although Alice seemed a bit weird at first, she had calmed down a lot and turned out to be really nice. Jasper, on the other hand, had stayed pretty quiet, only speaking when spoken to, but maybe he just needed some time to warm up to strangers.
Alice was in the middle of talking about the company she was currently working for, designing clothes, when she was abruptly cut off by Jasper. The sudden interruption made everyone turn their heads to look at him. Alice noticed he looked particularly on edge.
"I'm sorry, Alice, but I just can't take it anymore," Jasper blurted out, his voice strained with frustration. He had been struggling to keep quiet for hours, but his composure was slipping. "Bella, what are you doing to me? Are you some sort of shield?"
Confusion clouded Bella's features as she turned to Jasper. "Ah, I'm not doing anything to you, I promise. And I'm sorry, but I don't know what a shield is. I've never heard that term before." She looked towards Peter for help, hoping he could figure out what his friend was talking about.
Looking at the Major, Peter also wondered what had riled up his friend. Turning to Bella to address her confusion, he explained, "A shield, Bella, is a term for a vampire whose ability is defensive in nature. It protects them in some way, and, even rarer, it might protect others. I've never personally met a vampire with a true shield ability, but I've heard the Volturi have one."
Peter, thinking quickly, suspected the Major might have sensed something with his own power. Neither he nor Char had intended to discuss Bella's ability unless she decided to first, but it seemed like the Major had picked up on something. "Bella, do you mind if I talk about your ability? You can trust the Major and Alice."
Reflecting on Peter's explanation, Bella realized she might need to reveal even more about herself than what Peter and Char knew. She nodded, though. "Yes, that would be fine. I trust your judgment."
It was Char, though, who spoke up excitedly. "Bella can do the most amazing thing. She has the ability to block our sparkles while in the sun. We can go outside among humans and look completely normal. Alice, Bella, and I can actually go to the beach, sunbathing right next to everyone. It's the craziest thing!"
"Really?" Alice grinned, her eyes lighting up with curiosity. "Ooh, that sounds so interesting! I'd love to see that sometime, Bella."
Bella glanced out the window, noting that the sun had set about an hour ago. "Sure, we can all go out tomorrow if you'd like. Maybe while we're in town, you can show me some of the pieces you've designed." Bella got a kick out of seeing Alice beam with joy and wondered if she was always this happy.
The frown on Jasper's face persisted, though. "While that's certainly an interesting ability, Bella, I was referring to something else. Since we met, I haven't felt a single emotion from you. It's like there's a void where you're sitting when I try to sense you. I've even thrown my strongest emotions at you—emotions that would make the strongest vampire fall to the ground screaming—but you haven't felt a thing, have you?"
"Major!" Peter yelled, his voice laced with anger. "You don't attack a guest of mine inside my own house, especially when they've done nothing to warrant it."
Jasper nodded. "You're right, of course, Peter." He turned to Bella, his expression softening. "I'm sorry, Bella. I didn't start out doing that; it just got more and more frustrating the more I tried and failed to detect or affect your emotions."
"Your house?" Char challenged, raising an eyebrow at Peter in consternation.
"Not the time, honey. I'm trying to make a point," Peter replied, though he mouthed the words sorry.
Jasper continued, "But Bella's absence of emotions was only the tip of the iceberg. While we've been talking, sometimes one or two of you suddenly had no emotions at all, and other times, I couldn't sense anything from anyone in the room. I didn't know if Bella was somehow blocking my ability or what was happening." He looked toward Bella, hoping for an explanation, as the complete absence of emotions from everyone around him, including his wife, had been deeply unsettling.
Bella's mind was reeling as she listened to the back and forth about her abilities. She hadn't realized she had been doing anything. Shit! She knew she would have to reveal more about herself now.
"Everyone, please calm down," Bella interjected, her voice steady but earnest. "I'm sorry, Jasper. I didn't realize I was doing anything like that, or that I even could." She turned towards Peter and Char, her expression apologetic. "The truth is, I haven't been completely forthcoming with you about my abilities. After you told me about the Volturi, Peter, and the danger I might be in if they learned what I could do, I thought it was safer for you guys if you didn't know. Plus, you were the first vampires I had ever met, and I really wanted us to be friends. And… well, some of my other abilities are a bit scary. I didn't want you to think of me as some sort of vamp freak or send me packing."
Char stood up and moved to sit down beside Bella, wrapping an arm around her shoulders and giving her a reassuring squeeze. "We wouldn't do that, Bella. If you feel comfortable, tell us only what you'd like to share."
Bella looked at both Char and Peter, nodding appreciatively. She trusted them completely, and if they trusted Alice and Jasper, she would too. She considered what to reveal. Jasper's comments seemed to relate to her bubble ability. She decided to leave out her explosive talent and flying, as they didn't seem relevant to the current discussion and might only complicate things. Taking a deep breath, she began, "Thanks, Char. Well, I had no idea about this shield term you guys are using, but it sounds very much like the bubble I have."
"Bubble?" Peter asked, intrigued.
Bella nodded. "Yeah, most of what I can do comes from manipulating what I call my bubble in different ways. Although now that I hear this shield term, it does sound a lot better than bubble. I'll have to give that some thought." She noticed Alice's grin growing even wider as she spoke.
"Anyway, back to my bubble. It can do so many things, and honestly, I'm still learning and discovering new uses for it. I had no idea it could block Jasper's ability. The main use for it, which I've been working on improving since I first discovered it, is to protect myself. I can envelop myself in it and become invulnerable to pretty much anything. I've also learned that I can weaponize it. It's quite deadly, and I'm fairly certain I could kill anyone with just a glance... including vampires."
Hearing Bella's pronouncement, Peter's eyes widened in astonishment. "Wow, I can see why you never wanted to mention any of that. If that's the case, the Volturi would stop at nothing to get you under their thumb, and if they failed, they'd probably want to destroy you. I have to ask, what makes you think you could kill a vampire? We're pretty much indestructible."
Bella shrugged. "Well, I've never tried it, but I'm pretty sure I could just slice off anyone's head. It wouldn't be difficult at all."
Peter nodded thoughtfully. "Hmm, well, I think I like my noggin right where it is, but I'd like to see this ability in action." He lifted his hand, wiggling his fingers contemplatively before looking back at Bella and shrugging to himself. "Why don't you try it on my arm."
"What?" Bella's eyes widened in shock.
Charlotte's reaction was immediate and vehement. "Peter Whitlock, you are not having your arm chopped off for shits and giggles! What's wrong with you?"
Peter defended himself, "Hey now, I've had my arm ripped off more times than I can count. One more time won't make a lick of difference. Besides, Bella needs to know what she's actually capable of if she ever gets into a real fight. It's no good to rely on a perceived ability only to find out mid-fight that you don't actually have it, 'cause then you're really up shit's creek."
Charlotte shook her head in exasperation and huffed, "Fine, do what you want." Turning to Alice and Bella with a resigned smile, she added, "Men are such idiots, aren't they?"
Bella kind of had to agree with Char and looked at Peter with concern. "Are you sure you want me to do this?"
Peter nodded confidently. "Yeah, right in the middle between my wrist and my elbow. It's only pain. I know you've never lost any of your limbs, but they do reattach. The three of us have, sadly, had it happen more times than we care to remember. Especially the Major and me. Thankfully, Char was spared from having to go through the decades of warfare that we endured."
Bella nodded. She didn't want to hurt Peter, but she couldn't deny his reasoning. Glancing down at the spot he had indicated, she made one swift slice. As expected, his lower arm dropped to the floor with a muted thud.
"Fuck!" Peter yelled, surprise evident on his face. He hadn't expected it to be that fast.
"Was it everything you were hoping for, my foolish husband?" Charlotte said in her sweetest voice, shaking her head in a mix of exasperation and amusement.
Bella stared at the fallen limb with a macabre fascination. Unlike the human limb she had once severed, which simply lay still, Peter's arm was wriggling around, its fingers seemingly moving of their own accord. She had never seen anything like it.
Jasper bent down and picked up the fallen appendage, inspecting the cut end closely. "Wow, that has to be the cleanest cut I've ever seen. I don't even think it will scar when you reattach it." He pulled off the scrap of cloth from around the arm that had once been part of Peter's sleeve and handed the appendage back to Peter's other hand.
Peter inspected his severed arm, feeling the usual odd sensation of holding a detached body part that should be attached to him. He had lost many an arm or leg before and had to reattach them, but it never stopped feeling strange. He often thanked God that he had never lost his head... and especially his dick. "Jesus, Bella. Remind me never to piss you off. You're right; that's some powerful shit you've got hidden in that brain of yours. Don't you worry; we won't breathe a word of it."
Resting the arm on his lap for a moment, he rolled up his sleeve to examine the stump. Carefully aligning the severed arm with the stump, he held them together, waiting for the vampire magic to do its thing and reattach them.
"How long does it take to heal?" Bella asked with concern. "And why was your arm moving around like that? It looked like it had a mind of its own. That was freaky."
"It will reattach quickly, but it takes a good half hour before it will work as it's supposed to. I'll need some blood later to get my full strength back," Peter explained. "Vampire body parts do move around like that when ripped off. But they don't have a brain or anything, so it's not like I could make the hand wiggle somewhere or have it do what I wanted."
Then, a look of realization hit him. "Hang on a second, Bella. This means you could have won all of our fights every time! And yet you let Char and me beat the living shit out of you for the past six months!"
Bella smiled wryly. "Well, the point was to learn how to fight. There are no easy shortcuts."
Bella noticed Jasper nodding approvingly as he studied her. "Well, that bubble of yours certainly explains what I've been feeling—or rather, not feeling. And you say you didn't know you were projecting it? It seems you can block other vampires' abilities. Once you learn to control that at will, it will be a pretty formidable skill. It looks like you're the ultimate weapon with both offensive and defensive abilities. Don't worry, Bella, Alice and I won't say a word about it." He turned to Alice. "This probably explains why you weren't getting any visions of Peter and Char. Bella was likely interfering with how your visions work."
Peter quickly chimed in, "Hey, maybe that's why my knower hasn't been going off much in the last six months. I thought it was strange that I didn't get a heads up about your visit."
Bella had had enough. The past hour felt like a whirlwind, with her deepest secrets being laid bare. "Okay, you guys, let's stop talking about me. I don't particularly like being the center of attention, especially not in a 'vamp freak' sort of way. Let's change the subject, please. Or maybe we can go out with Peter if he needs someone to drink to help with the healing process after I sliced and diced him."
She grinned, wanting to lighten the mood. Thankfully, everyone respected her wishes and smoothly shifted the conversation to other topics. Bella felt a wave of relief as the focus moved away from her and the startling revelations about herself, allowing her to enjoy the rest of the evening.
I hope you enjoyed the chapter as much as Peter and Char enjoyed their shower time... Well, you probably didn't enjoy it that much, as that would be quite a feat to achieve only through the written word.
Bella certainly had another evening of startling revelations. In the next chapter, Bella and Alice will spend some more time together in "The Seer and the Shield."
