Hey! Welcome back to Isle of Despair! I'm very excited for this chapter, this is probably the chapter I have the most planned out so far. But! Who will face certain death? Who will live to see another day? I present to thee… for completely free… Chapter three…
Chris appeared on the docks with his psychopathic gaze straight at the camera.
"Last time on Total! Drama! Island!" The camera flashed to the thousand-foot cliff from the previous episode with the campers on top.
"After being introduced to twenty-two of our poor victims, they settled down their belongings and jumped off a thousand-foot cliff like the sick daredevils they are! Well, except for a few chickens. Haha!" The camera flashed to Tyler landing next to the buoy then DJ running down the hill with a chicken hat.
"Afterwards, the teams had to haul their asses to the main camp, where they built a hot tub!" The camera flashed once more to show Geoff and DJ relaxing in the hot tub.
"Unfortunately, for Big-O, he decided to cannonball into the hot tub, causing it to collapse, leading to the lovable beast's untimely death!" The camera flashed a haunting image of Owen's corpse. His lifeless eyes looked straight into the soul of the camera at the audience.
"But! What will happen today? Who's next on the literal chopping block? And is it just me or am I getting tired? Find out now on Total! Drama! Island!"
Theme Song
The camera flashed to the mess hall where the members of the Killer Bass were seen eating their slop.
"This shit is disgusting! It's our final days and the least they can do is a half-good meal!" Sadie looked at Bridgette, whose food jumped off her fork and slithered away on the floor.
DJ had one hand holding his chin while he stirred the slop on his plate with his fork as he sighed. "Dude, you're acting like a real bummer! You haven't done much but cry since yesterday!" Geoff looked at the brickhouse who looked back into the party animal's eyes, pausing himself from stirring his food.
DJ looked back down at his food before responding. "Yeah, it just sucks that I couldn't say goodbye to my mama before I left… her…" DJ had no tears left after bawling out what seemed to be his entire water supply the day before.
Eva looked back at the brickhouse with slight agitation on her face. "You need to toughen up! You're one of the strongest on our team physically, but if your crybaby attitude holds us down more… you're toast!" Eva returned to her mostly eaten food, she had declared that 'the only taste that matters is the taste of victory' and that 'food is energy and seeing it as any other way is pathetic.'
Ezekiel frowned at the strong woman. He had barely touched his slop. "Why don't you lay off the guy, eh? It's potentially his final days here! If he misses his mother, he shouldn't forget her, eh? After all, we won yesterday!" DJ smiled at the prairie boy who smiled back.
Eva began snarling at the farmer. Is this little redneck twerp talking back to me? Courtney, trying to change the conversation, intervened before Eva either went berserk or lashed out a harsh response. "Ezekiel, it's true that we won yesterday, but we shouldn't keep our guard down if we want to keep our winning streak."
"So! Ever so the optimist, eh, princess!" Duncan smirked down at the CIT who broke her gaze from the farmboy to the delinquent.
"Why shouldn't I be?" Courtney stated proudly, crossing her arms while looking confidently at the delinquent. "I have strong leadership skills! I am a CIT! Plus, we have some of the strongest members like Eva, DJ, and even you to some extent." The last part was half true, while, yes, the Killer Bass had some strong members in Courtney's eyes, it was compensated by numerous weak competitors such as Harold, Sadie, and Ezekiel.
The mohawked delinquent looked flattered as he smirked at the girl. "I never knew you viewed me on such a high pedestal, princess!"
Courtney had a look of anger on her face as she tried to change the topic. "I say with extent because I haven't seen you do much besides make snarky comments all day!"
Duncan shrugged at the CIT. "Whatever. It's survival of the fittest so I don't have to worry about you folks targeting one of your strongest players. Especially with weaker members on the team."
Few of the bass looked offended as they looked up from their radiating glop and looked at the delinquent, except for Izzy who simply chuckled and nodded her head in agreement.
Sadie looked at Duncan in anger. "How could you say that? It's so rude!"
"Well, as much as I hate to break it to you, it's true." Duncan rolled his eyes as he looked back at the large BFFFL. "As She-Hulk said over here, you guys have to pull your weight hard if you don't want to be six feet under."
Izzy giggled louder at Duncan as she jumped up to stand on her stool. "Speaking of six feet under! Who do you think got axed yesterday!" Many of the Bass members looked at the orange-haired girl in disgust or confusion. "Izzy bets it was that blonde bimbo! Oooh! Or that metal mouth farm girl! Oh, or maybe it was that short tan twin!" Izzy jumped up in down in excitement, much to the dismay of her teammates.
"No! Not Katie!" Sadie looked at Izzy who looked at Sadie, enjoying her stress increasing.
"You need to settle down, GOSH!" Harold shared a disapproving look as Izzy sat down with a gleeful smile on her face.
"You're almost as sick as Chris, you know that?" Bridgette shared what was probably her first emotion other than sadness since she stepped on the island.
As in queue, the Screaming Gophers entered the mess hall, looking tired and disgusted from Owen's execution the day before.
Much to Izzy's surprise, Lindsay, Beth, and Katie all walked through the entrance, only for a large part of the Gophers to be seen missing.
Eva stared at the ten Gophers. "So! I see you've ousted your chubby buddy."
"Aww! Sick! Izzy wishes Izzy could've seen him die! Izzy bets he was screaming and crying his eyes out before he died!" Izzy jumped up from her seat again as the Bass ignored her and the Gophers looked at her with fear in their eyes.
Trent sighed as he sat down between Gwen and Heather with his sloppy food in his hands. "Yeah, he didn't do good… on the challenge…" Trent looked down at his shoes with guilt in his mind.
"How… How was it?" Bridgette stuttered as her mind wandered to images of the fat blonde, images of his mood constantly switching from cheery to sorrowful.
Beth looked down at her food in a similar fashion to Trent. "It was awful! I was the last one to be safe, but I feel so guilty for Owen!"
Gwen nodded as she reluctantly ate her food. "It's just so… …disgusting! How can they do this to us? Why are they doing this to us?"
Justin ate around the moldier parts of his food cautiously. "Who knows? And to know that most of our fates will…it just disgusts me! Almost as much as this shitty food which is so not gonna be good for my future modeling career!"
Heather quipped at her teammates. "Well, we better get used to it or work harder next time. We can't expect to win every time. Especially with some of us delaying us behind." Heather narrowed her eyes at Beth who looked down at her food in shame.
"Chris said we all had to stay and watch." Katie shivered at the memory. "It's just so… awful… And I can't believe it will just keep spiraling down from here." The rest of the Gophers turned into silence as they chowed down on their disgusting food.
Chris entered the mess hall through the kitchen door, with Chef right behind him, holding his iconic cleaver.
"Campers! I see you've all noticed a huge part of you missing!" The campers glared at Chris, except for Izzy who chuckled out loud again.
"Yeah! So sad for Big-O! Izzy just wishes Izzy could've seen him sobbing himself to death!" Izzy smiled at the similarly sadistic host who was shocked to see Izzy so gleeful at his death.
"Well, you're in luck today Izzy because I present to you…" Chris pulled out a remote and pressed a few buttons as the pictures, which surrounded the mess halls lit up. The campers turned to view the posters, mostly at themselves, turning to Owen's as it switched to static.
The static on Owen's poster turned to a picture of poor Owen's corpse, with the gunshot through the back of his skull. He was lying down with his back to the sky, with a red puddle of blood flowing out from where his face looked down.
Many of the campers recoiled in disgust and looked away, especially the Bass who hadn't seen his execution yet.
Sadie threw up back in her plate, while Courtney held her breakfast in.
Bridgette turned away from the poster and hid her face in Geoff's arms, who gave her a reassuring hug.
Izzy chuckled at the same time as Chris, who looked over to his right where Izzy stared at the poster with her mouth wide open in awe and a gleam in her eyes.
"Woahaho! Sick!" Izzy smiled, never taking her eyes off the appalling poster.
(Confessional: Izzy)
Izzy smiled at the camera gleefully shaking her hands and smiling excessively at the camera.
"Izzy can't wait to see more people die! This is so exciting! If we lose, Izzy bets either the big fatass twin or the blonde bimbo crybaby will die!"
Izzy made a slashing noise as she dragged her finger across her neck and the camera cut to static
(End Confessional: Izzy)
Cody looked at the orange-haired psychopath before turning to look at the host. "Is that what you meant by 'these posters serve as memorials'"
Chris smiled and looked at the tech geek. "Righto! Cody-o! Each time one of you kisses your final goodbyes, the aftermath of you will be shown, just to really hammer in the guilt of your fellow fallen!"
"Anyways! It's now time for the second challenge of Total! Drama! Island!" Chris held his hands up higher and higher with each word.
"Are you gonna do that every time you say the name of the show?" Katie looked at the host who held a Y-pose towards the camera.
"Yup! That's branding for you! Neat isn't it? Well, who's ready to go on a run? A twenty-kilometer run around the island that is? And don't worry, we will have some good food for when you come back." Eva cheered at the news of a run, Tyler groaned at the news of a run- knowing his clumsiness, and most campers cheered at the news of eating good food, especially Justin who thought the poor nutrition would ruin his good looks.
(Confessional: Justin)
Justin sat on the toilet, swatting away the flies before they would bite on his glamorous skin.
"Okay, the food here? This is going to ruin my future modeling career big time! Then again, so will death. I am going to have to start using my brain if I'm going to make it out of this alive which I plan on doing."
Justin starts tapping his brain which gave out a hollow noise before the camera cuts to static.
(End Confessional: Justin)
The camera cuts to the campers running along the sandy beach.
Eva was far in the front of the pack, she was followed by DJ, Duncan, and Justin.
Behind them was the main group, where most of the campers were running.
Right behind them was Geoff and Bridgette, the former had decided to lay a little behind to talk to the blonde surfer chick, who was glad to see such a friendly face in such a dire place.
Behind Geoff and Bridgette, Sadie and Katie were blabbering to each other, but rather than talking about boys or fashion as they normally do, they were talking about strategy and sharing how their teams felt.
Noah was running right behind the two besties, looking exhausted from running, yet keeping a keen ear on
In the very back were Harold, Ezekiel, and Tyler. Harold and Ezekiel both were naturally slow while Tyler stayed with the two boys in the back, being cautious and watching where he was stepping, avoiding sharp rocks and twigs along the shoreline.
Cut to two and half hours later, where all the competitors sans the 'three stooges' as Eva dubbed them in the previous episode waited at the mess hall.
Noah collapsed onto the table from exhaustion while Justin smirked at the bookworm and Trent looked at him with concern.
Trent turned to look at Cody, who also looked at the exhausted scrawny Indian.
"I don't suppose you're gonna give him mouth-to-mouth? After all, it seems like it's all that you want to do here?" Trent quipped at the tech-geek who glared back up at the black-haired musician.
"Shut up, dude." Was all Cody muttered before Ezekiel, Tyler, and Harold barged through the entrance, much to Eva's annoyance.
"WHERE THE FUCK WERE YOU THREE RETARDS! WE LOST!" Eva raised her fists only for DJ and Geoff to restrain her as Harold and Tyler held up their hands in protection.
"GOSH! It's called a medical condition! Look into it!" Harold crossed his arms rolling his eyes.
Eva snarled at the nerd. "You're gonna get a medical condition called DEATH soon, you little twerp!"
Chris smiled at the rageaholic before Noah sat up from the table, drenched in sweat and panting. "Wait… …does this mean we win?" Noah panted as the rest of the Gophers jumped and cheered while the Three Stooges gulped.
Chris laughed before turning to the bookworm. "Nope! I just wanted to make you all run around the island for no reason! Hilarious!" The campers turned to glare at the host.
"What, so does that mean you lied about the food too?" Gwen's look of anger turned to disappointment.
Much to the contestants' surprise Chef and some interns came up holding a table with a blanket covering something that spread across the table.
Chef unveiled the blanket to reveal glistering food across the table. Fried Chicken, Steak, Sushi, Pizza, whatever you could think of it was there.
The campers eyed the food pausing themselves before they looked at Chris. "Don't worry! The food isn't poisoned or anything like that! They even don't have any life-threatening allergies for the two nerds over here! I still have standards, you know?" Chris pointed at Harold and Noah as most of the campers began digging in.
"This food rocks!" Trent said before he took a bite out of the fried chicken.
"Scrumptious, dudes!" Geoff nodded in agreement as he took a slice of cake and a can of soda.
"Be thankful Owen isn't here! The dude would've eaten everything before you all took a step forward!" Chris taunted the campers who were either too occupied with eating food or heard the host and felt guilt in their stomachs along with the scrumptious meal.
(Confessional: DJ)
DJ sat down while holding a kebab before gobbling it down.
"This stuff is the bomb! I haven't had good food since I was back home with my mama!"
DJ frowned before remembering memories of him cooking with his beloved mama, thinking of the past as Ezekiel recommended. DJ's frown turned into a smile before he spoke back to the camera.
"Mama's cooking still tops this food by tenfold. I miss you so much, ma."
(End Confessional: DJ)
Fast forward to the table cleared of food and all the campers looked exhausted after devouring the meal.
Chef belched loudly. He had insisted to Chris that he'd 'get some compensation after slaving over a hot stove for days' which Chris reluctantly agreed too.
Chris smiled at the camera as cleared his throat to announce to the campers. "Well! Is everybody done eating?"
The campers nodded with satisfied smiles on their faces, they let themselves get lost in the meal and nearly forgot about the competition.
"Good! Because I think we are ready for our next challenge! An Awakeathon!"
"A marathon? I thought we already ran around the island." Lindsay asked the host in severe confusion.
"Nope! An Awakeathon! Where the last player awake wins it for their team!" Chris smiled at the dumb blonde.
"So you made us run around the island and eat a lot of food to tire us out?" Duncan looked at the host who nodded back at the delinquent with a cocky smile.
"Yup! Otherwise this challenge would take a long time. Too long to keep on schedule. People have stayed awake for 11 days straight you know!" Chris began walking before stopping right at the exit of the mess hall while he pointed his right arm out the door
"I'm going to be nice for once and give you around fifteen minutes to gather whatever you need- books, board games, comics, whatever- and come meet me by the campfire! Arrive there late and you know what happens!"
Chris unholstered his shiny pistol to show off to the campers who began scurrying towards their cabins to gather their entertaining belongings.
The camera flashed to Bridgette and Geoff walking towards the elimination area, where the rest of the campers were waiting.
LeShawna turned to talk to Gwen. "So, how long do you think before we all hit the sack?"
"I'm guessing half a day or so considering how tired everyone is from running around the island and eating so much," Gwen responded to the large girl.
"You're telling me, girl. I feel as if I'm gonna fall over and snooze any second now."
Chris arrived on the scene crossing his arms in happiness. "Welcome to the Awakeathon! Here are the rules! If you close your eyes for more than ten seconds, you'll be counted as falling asleep. Every two hours or so, there will be a bathroom break where an intern will guide you to the bathroom to make sure you won't fall asleep on the can." He chuckled.
The campers looked around the campsite and put down most of their belongings. The black-haired host turned around and walked off-screen to leave the campers alone.
Eight hours had passed and nobody had fallen asleep yet.
Many campers were doing activities to pass the time and keep themselves awake.
Cody was playing video games on his DS.
Noah was rererereading the books he had brought.
Courtney had spent her time walking in circles trying to keep herself awake.
Trent was playing around with his guitar.
Katie and Sadie had spent their time talking and blabbering to each other keeping themselves and many campers around them awake.
Izzy spent her time doing parkour, jumping from tree to vine to branch.
Geoff and Bridgette were talking to each other under the shade of a tree.
"So. Uh… Bridgette, I see that you, uh… …you like to surf?" Geoff spoke awkwardly to Bridgette, not knowing what to say to such a pretty girl.
"Um… yeah… not so much here though, you know? The beaches here aren't good and they smelt extremely bad last night.
"Um, chyeah." Geoff turned back to look at his feet. He had no idea how to talk to such a pretty girl and how she was feeling at the moment. He wasn't the brightest of souls.
"I guess you miss your mom and dad, huh? Your friends too?" Geoff looked back at the pacifist who nodded.
"Yeah, I really miss my mom… She was the best. I miss my friends a lot too… they're probably all wondering where I am right now." Bridgette looked up into the sky. The sun was beginning to set and the sky was painted with tinges of orange, pink, and purple.
Geoff nodded in agreement. "Yeah, I miss my bros back at home too. 'Specially Brody and Evan those dudes rocked real hard."
Geoff turned back to look at his feet. "I remember Zeke saying something about looking back at your past and finding peace and stuff. How 'bout you tell me some of your favorite memories with your friends."
"Um, okay," Bridgette said, looking back on her memories of her with her friends. "I remember surfing on the beach with them a lot in the summer." She thought some more. "And I remember my mom gifting me my favorite surfboard on my fourteenth birthday."
Geoff smiled at the blonde surfer who's mood started to lighten up. "Righteous, dudette! I remember back at my bro Jake's place when we crashed his mom's sedan into the neighbor's lawn! They were so furious dude, it was so AWESOME!"
(Confessional: Geoff)
Geoff sat down and laid back on the toilet with his hands behind his head.
"Bridge is, like, the prettiest girl I've ever met. It's a real downer that she's bummed out from all the stress. I'm not really sure if I'm doing a good job of cheering her up or not. I hope I am!"
The camera cuts to static.
(End Confessional: Geoff)
Bridgette looked at the party animal who was smiling at his memory with his bros. She wondered how could he be so optimistic in a place like this. And how could be so friendly here too?
Their memory sharing was rudely interrupted by Izzy who fell from the branch above with a thud yelling a loud "BOO!" which startled the two blondes back.
Izzy stood up and brushed herself before looking at Geoff and Bridgette sitting against the tree.
"Aww! Look at the lovey-dovey couple! You know, couples are always the first ones to get slaughtered in horror movies!" Izzy began to talk in a more sinister creepy voice. "They'll have their limbs taken off, one by one, while they scream in agony! Then, the killer will rip out one of their spines and feed it to the other! It's awesome, right?"
Izzy looked down at the shaking surfer who inched closer to Geoff, while the party animal glared back at the crazy girl.
"Just get the hell out of here, dudette! You're not making any of us feel better, you know?"
Izzy chuckled. "Tsh, I know silly! That's the point! I want you two to heed my warnings!" Izzy chuckled as she skipped away while humming a tune to herself.
Courtney and Duncan both walked up to the blondes watching Izzy as she went to torment Eva and DJ who were talking to each other.
"What the hell is wrong with that girl?" Courtney asked as she approached the blondes with Duncan.
"I don't know, but if she's willing to make herself the first target, I'm all for it." The delinquent looked at Izzy as she made bear noises, scaring DJ away.
"I'm not a fan of killing people despite what my criminalistic looks may make you think, but it's better her than us."
Duncan turned to Courtney. "So why did you call me over here, Princess? You seen these two lovebirds and got inspired to be with me?" He winked at the mocha-skinned girl.
Courtney elbowed Duncan in the stomach who yelped in pain. "No, you orge. I simply want to bring the four of us together into an alliance."
Bridgette looked at Courtney with confusion in her eyes. "An alliance, you say? So we vote together who we want off?"
Courtney nodded her head. "Yup. I chose you three because DJ is a crybaby, Izzy is crazy, Eva has anger issues, Sadie's pretty useless, and the three stooges are butting heads with one another over there."
Courtney pointed to Harold, Tyler, and Ezekiel who were playing a card game amongst themselves.
"Plus, you three seem strong enough. So, what do you say? Alliance?" Courtney looked at the three bass members.
Bridgette and Geoff nodded their heads in agreement and Duncan shrugged.
"Sure, whatever, it's a benefit for all of us. Besides, you three seem pretty chill compared to the rest of our team. I'm all for it."
Meanwhile, across the firepit, DJ and Eva were talking. Eva was doing push-ups while DJ sat down to talk to her.
"Look, DJ," Eva said as she finished doing her push-ups.
"You're a good person, but that will get you jack-shit here, for our team." Eva looked coldly at the brick house who sighed as he crossed his arms.
"You got to stop crying and toughen up. Life here will be rough, but you can't let that slow you down." Eva said.
DJ looked at the strong woman. "I know, I just keep remembering my mama. She wouldn't want me to be so ruthless."
Eva looked annoyed at the brickhouse and stood up. "FORGET your MAMA! If you really want to see her ever again you have to start playing hard."
DJ sighed once more at Eva. "I guess, it's just not what my mama taught me how to be."
"Do you know what your mama would really want right now?" Eva asked DJ, who shrugged. "For you to not be…"
Eva turned to her left and saw the three stooges snoozing over their card game.
"...weak."
Twelve hours passed as Lindsay was sound asleep with Cody sleeping right next to her.
Izzy was asleep as well, snoozing from the treetops after swinging around and terrorizing her teammates.
Sadie continued chattering with Katie, the larger bestie seemed to look more tired.
Gwen finished writing in her diary and closed it, walking to LeShawna and Beth who were conversing with one another.
Gwen sat down and leaned up next to a large rock as LeShawna and Beth took notice of her.
"Hey, girl. How are you holding up?" The three girls had started getting bags under their eyes, as had many of the other campers who hadn't fallen asleep.
Gwen rested her chin on her hand, staring at the dirt below. "I've said it before and I'll say it again. This situation sucks."
LeShawna looked at Beth before looking back at the goth. "I meant how tired are you, hon."
Gwen looked up from the ground and at LeShawn and Beth to her right. "I guess I'm doing pretty well, I've dealt with all-nighters before."
"You don't have to always be so negative, Gwen. The least you can do is make some friends here." Beth said to the goth, both with tired eyes.
"What's the point." Gwen crossed her arms. "We're all going to be dead like Owen in a couple of weeks. After all," Gwen looks to her direct right towards Leshawna.
"Didn't you say that you were 'all for socializing but you were still planning on winning this?' The only reason someone would even try to make 'friends' here is so that they can be stabbed in the back later by the other."
"Girl, I know what I said, but it still wouldn't hurt to socialize with the people here. And I would never stab a sister in the back like that." LeShawna put her hands on her hips as Beth yawned next to her.
Gwen stayed silent with skepticism as LeShawna clapped her hands, alerting Beth from dozing off.
"You know, out of all the people on our team, you two seem the most real. I was thinking we could join together in an alliance, I've seen some other folks staying together and talking about how they'd stay together." LeShawna put her hand on Gwen, who looked back at her with less skepticism.
"Sure, whatever." Gwen looked back up and saw Heather walking towards her.
"Awww, weird Goth girl is making friends with ghetto girl and pig girl! How cute." Heather smirked and looked at the goth girl.
"Save it, Heather. This place sucks enough without girls like you." Gwen and LeShawna both glared at Heather while their short brunette wannabe friend fell asleep next to them.
"I know it sucks for you two considering I'm getting out of this alive. Even more so knowing I won't make a memorial for you three after I get out of here, not much will be missed." Heather looked down at the two with a confident smile on her face, wanting to taunt her teammates before she inevitably wins.
LeShawna jumped up with anger in her eyes. "Can it, Prom Queen wannabe. I'm the one getting out of here alive, you're all talk but I bet you can't hold up a fight 'specially since I haven't seen you making cahoots with anybody round here."
Heather rolled her eyes at the large girl. How dare this giant trash compactor talk back to her, the glorious, almighty, beautiful Heather. "Well! You obviously know a lot about round here. It's-"
LeShawna stood up quickly with a snarl on her face, baring her teeth. The loud girl lunged at the raven-haired bringing her down to the ground. Heather fell back in shock, unable to move at the heavy girl weighing on top of her. LeShawna raised her right hand while holding the mean girl down with her left before bringing her hand down to slap her face multiple times, stinging it. Over, and over.
"Don't you EVER talk to me like that you fucking bitch! Next time we lose you're dead!" Trent and Justin sprinted over to hold back the quick-tempered ghetto girl, despite her complaints.
"Let me at her! Let that bitch get what she deserves!" LeShanwa struggled while in Trent's and Justin's grasps.
Heather laid on the ground, wide-eyed, with her face stinging from LeShawna's heavy slaps, pain that she had never felt before by anybody. She put her right hand to her cheeks, trembling, as her face stung like hell.
Trent tried calming down LeShawna while Noah watched the action from a distance with a smirk on his face.
(Confessional: LeShawna)
LeShawna sat down with her legs and arms crossed, staring at the camera.
"So I lost my cool a bit. Who cares! I'm already on edge and I don't need no white rich-girl bitch talking smack at me."
(End Confessional: LeShawna)
(Confessional: Heather)
Heather held an ice pack against her red cheeks with a look of fury in her eyes.
"She. Is. So. Dead."
Heather banged the side of the confessional with each word, causing a crack to form in the side of the wall.
(End Confessional: Heather)
(Confessional: Gwen)
Gwen held a small smile on her face.
"As much as this situation sucks, I suddenly have high respect for LeShawna, maybe not everybody here is bad as I thought. Except Heather and Cody for sure."
(End Confessional: Gwen)
The camera cuts to the two BFFFLs blabbering to one another on top of a log, both had dark bags starting to form under their eyes
"OMG, Katie, I am getting so tired! Can you believe how many people are still awake?" Sadie said to Katie.
"I know I'm getting tired… Can you believe how disgusting it is for us to be here?" Katie looked at her BFFFL, who was able to maintain a smile on her face.
"I know! I don't want you to die, Katie! And I don't me to die either!" Sadie gave Katie a hug who hugged her back.
"Sadie, I was thinking maybe we should both make alliances. But ones on each of our teams." Katie looked at her bestie who held a confused look on her face.
"But we're already in an alliance together! With each other!
"I know, Sadie, but if we want to both get out of here alive, we should try to make alliances with different people since we are on different teams." Katie let go of Sadie's hug.
"I don't need to be in any alliance besides one with you, Katie! I think my team likes me!" Sadie smiled obliviously at Katie.
(Confessional: Katie)
Katie sat down in the confessional with a worried look in her eyes.
"I love Sadie. She's been my best friend ever since she moved to be my neighbor when I was four years old. But sometimes, she can be really oblivious."
Katie sighed in thought. "There are only two life idols and Chris said that they'll be hidden around halfway through the competition, and they're gonna be hard to find. If I'm being honest, I know for a fact that our chances of making the final two are slim. I'll have to work hard for both of us to get out of here alive… I just hope Sadie understands…"
(End Confessional: Katie)
(Confessional: Sadie)
Sadie sat down in the confessional with a worried smile on her face.
"I think Katie might be worrying too much. She's underestimating us! We can't both die, we're only sixteen! And we still have so much left to do… I know we aren't gonna die! After all my team likes me! Right?"
Sadie grew her worried smile wider before the camera cut to static.
(End Confessional: Sadie)
Sadie yawned before leaning up against the wooden log, looking at her teammates who had passed out.
Trent on the Gopher's side had fallen asleep as had DJ, much to Eva's annoyance.
Geoff and Bridgette had fallen asleep snuggling with each other.
Sadie yawned again and looked at her best friend. "Come on, Katie, let's get some rest. I know for a fact that we won't get eliminated today, much less in the whole competition! Let's get some rest."
Sadie fell asleep against the log while Katie frowned with worry in her eyes. Why is Sadie acting so confident? Is she in denial?
Katie walked away from her sleeping bestie, with determination to stay awake.
Ten hours later, Noah looked up from his book, The Great Gatsby, he had reread it almost five times since he had arrived on the island. He, and the rest of the campers, had only ten minutes to pack everything they valued the most when those mysterious men showed up at his house and said he had been 'selected to participate.'
Noah observed the still-awake members.
LeShawna and Gwen were conversing with one another, keeping each other awake and well.
Justin and Katie were both chattering about something Noah couldn't make out.
Heather's face was less red from when LeShawna had slapped her earlier, Chef was only permitted to give her one ice pack, declaring the host was 'nice enough' to stop LeShawna from pummeling the mean girl.
Noah turned over to the bass, where he saw Courtney walking in circles, trying to keep herself from falling asleep.
Duncan was lying against a rock, playing with a short twig, supposedly as a substitute for his switchblade that he was forced to give to Chris.
Eva lastly sat still firmly, listening to music on her MP3 player, she didn't want to tire herself anymore by exercising.
Chris had appeared four hours earlier to clear out all the campers
(Confessional: Noah)
Noah used his book to swat away the flies buzzing around the lightbulb in the center of the outhouse. A slight agitation could be seen on his face.
"As I said yesterday, I have a plan. I always do. You see, there are two moral struggles people will deal with here. One, fighting against people who are up against you. And two, making friends here that you ultimately get upset about when they get chopped into millions of bits. I've decided to kill two birds with one stone by allying myself with potential threats- people I'm not the biggest fan of- and be the mastermind behind our operations."
(End Confessional: Noah)
The camera cuts to Noah walking in a straight line towards a rock, dropping two notes by Justin and Heather who both saw the note dropped and read it.
'Meet me in the shade of the trees. Please be discreet.'
The camera cuts again to Justin, Heather, and Noah in the shade of the trees. The darkness of the night helped to shroud the three Gophers' conversation.
Justin looked at the scrawny bookworm as he entered beneath the leaves. "So, what gives? Why do you want us to be here?"
Noah looked at the sexy model. "I know the point of this challenge. Give us time to bond and form alliances, so I suggest that we join together and get into cahoots."
Heather scoffed. "Um, why would we ally ourselves with you, you dork? We. Don't. Like. You."
Justin nodded in agreement, "Yeah, man, I can bring any girl to my side with my looks alone, I don't need you, especially since you've been insulting us ever since you've gotten here."
Noah scoffed back at the two. "Bingo. We don't like each other. I find that useful, the less we get emotional about each other, the more of a purely strategical alliance is formed rather than some made by a friendship, besides."
The bookworm turned to the Asian girl. "I've seen loud and proud lunge out at you earlier today, who says that she and her little buddies won't try to target you?"
Heather scratch the back of her neck in thought, as much as she hated it the twerp was right about LeShawna allying with the people she hated most.
The Indian then turned to the Hawaiian model. "And you, pretty boy. How long will it take until these girls start getting used to your looks and begin valuing their lives above your good looks?"
Justin looked surprised and looked at Heather, trying to flex his muscles and show off his chiseled chin.
Much to the model's surprise Heather didn't blush at all but simply shrugged. He had a disdain for the bookworm as well, but he did begin to worry if his looks would wear off to a point where he couldn't sway the votes of any girls.
Noah smirked at the two good-looking teens. "So, have I swayed your minds to join our alliance?" Heather and Justin looked at each other.
(Confessional: Heather)
Heather crossed her arms at the camera.
"That short twerp surely knows how to convince us, maybe he's craftier than I originally thought… …oh well. Because I joined his little alliance, I can finally take down that worthless cunt ghetto girl."
(End Confessional: Heather)
(Confessional: Justin)
Justin smiled shinily at the camera.
"Turns out, that ugly short kid has a lot more to him than I first thought. While I don't like his attitude, the fact I joined him meant I wouldn't have to rely on my brain."
Justin pointed up at the side of his skull and began tapping his head, giving off a hollow sound.
"You hear that brain? I'm talking to you! You're getting replaced! Thinking too hard does cause wrinkles after all, and I can't have that in my future modeling career."
(End Confessional: Justin)
Heather and Justin both nodded and agreed with the scrawny bookworm.
"I'll join you, but that doesn't mean I'll like you." Heather glared at the scrawny bookworm, reluctantly shaking his hand.
Noah smirked back. "That's the intention honey, now I wanted to ask either Trent or Cody to join…"
"No!" Heather screamed at the Indian. "I am not letting that disgusting perverted dweeb into our alliance, especially since he is such a target."
Noah nodded his head. "Exactly, that damned idiot had made himself too big of a target, as much as I hate thinking about it, he's absolutely dying within the next few days. And from what I have observed, Trent seems more likely to align with Gwen and LeShawna. So that leaves either the dumb blonde, who we know is gonna get herself stupidly killed within the next few days, or the Malaysian twin, who I don't know how will even respond to our alliance."
Justin looked confused at the bookworm. "What's Malaysian?"
Noah quipped back at the Hawaiian loudly. "I'm talking about Katie, you imbecile!"
Out of seemingly nowhere, Katie stepped into the shadows where the three scheming gophers looked back at the tan bestie.
"I heard my name. Who's calling me an imbecile?" Katie looked at the bookworm, she recognized his soft snarky voice.
Noah looked at the skinny girl. "Justin is an imbecile, and from what I've seen from surveying our team, in the event we lose, you are second on the chopping block after the horndog." Noah crossed his arms at the bestie who stepped back with caution.
Perfect he thought.
"Umm… …what are you doing here?" Justin asked the Malaysian girl who blushed back for a second at Justin.
"I sort of overheard you guys talking while I was walking around the area. Are you guys forming an alliance or something?" Katie said.
"NO!" Heather stated rather loudly, thankfully not alerting any of the other campers who were too tired and focused on keeping themselves awake to notice the four gophers missing and conversing in the shade. "We were just uh…" Heather tried brainstorming excuses much to no avail.
"Shut it, slap magnet. We were forming cahoots with each other and I think that you should join us, it's a mutual benefit for us all." Noah offered his hand to the skinny short girl, who put her finger to her lips in thought.
Katie had one thing to say if she were to accept joining the Three Gophers alliance, she had wanted to join one to increase her chances of living by joining one, "What about…"
"Sadie?" Noah interrupted. "Don't worry I know for a fact that at Chris's beloved 'halfway point' he will dissolve the teams instead of having one of the teams dissolve by being beaten over and over until all the members are gone. Once the teams dissolve we can let her into our alliance."
Heather started to speak up before Noah interrupted her with his hand back at her. "Do we have a deal?" He asked.
Katie thought for a few seconds before shaking his hand. "Sure! Why not."
Noah turned to the other two gophers who had a look of skepticism on their face. "Oh and one more thing, I want to keep this alliance a secret, do not let anybody under any circumstances find out, so when we exit here look all pouty and shit, okay?"
(Confessional: Noah)
Noah smiled with a satisfied look in the confessional before speaking to the camera.
"Truth be told, I know that Trent probably would've joined our alliance, or even Cody or Lindsay for that matter. But out of everybody here on the island, Katie is the only one physically weaker than me, and I know that she'd become a mess if Sadie gets killed."
Noah frowned at the camera.
"I know I sound cold, but that's what this island brings to you, the most dire of circumstances. You must be cold-hearted to leave the island alive. As a changed person."
(End Confessional: Noah)
(Confessional: Katie)
Katie smiled gleefully at the camera. "Okay… I joined an alliance, but I'm not supposed to talk about it. I spoke with Noah after the challenge and he said that I could tell Sadie after I begged him as long as I made sure that she would promise not to tell a single soul! This is exciting! I''m making progress!"
(End Confessional: Katie)
The clock fast-forwarded nine hours to show Noah and Katie both snoozing deep in slumber on the ground. Two interns came up to both of them and woke them up to tell them they should leave to go to their cabins.
Chris entered the area after remaining absent for a long while.
"Okay! I see this is taking really long! I see three fishies still swimming and four rodents still digging!" Chris held up a red book while Chef came in view of the camera, wearing a sheep's costume, and holding a small baggie.
"I've got some stuff to put all of you to sleep quickly, this challenge is kinda boring and is taking way too long."
Chris opened the book to reveal a cartoonish beaver popping out of the book as he began to speak in a monotonous voice.
"The history of Canada. Chapter One. The beaver, Canada's national animal." Chris read in a soothing voice that instantly put Justin to sleep.
Chef began leaping across the scene giving the awake some of the campers hallucinations of jumping sheep after not sleeping for so long.
Chef threw some sparkling glitter with soothing effects that made Courtney and Eva fall asleep.
While Gwen tried to hold on to consciousness, she heard a loud thud next to her, boosting what little insomnia she held.
LeShawna collapsed onto the ground with quiet snores coming from the ghetto girl's mouth.
"No… LeShawna… Don't leave me…" Gwen squeaked with her exhausted voice."
Fast forward by an hour where Chris looked at the three last-standing competitors before turning to the camera.
"Well, it's a race to see who has the strongest wits as three of our…"
THUD
"-two of our competitors see who will fall asleep first and either win or lose it for their team."
Heather had fallen on the ground with huge dark bags on her eyes.
Gwen and Duncan were the last two duking it out to see who would fall first. They both were the final ones standing, keeping their teams from losing.
Gwen held a look of determination while Duncan held a look of confidence.
Chris smiled at the two contestants.
"Bathroom break anyone?" Chris gestured to the washrooms with two cameramen just in case they both decided to go to relieve themselves.
"I can hold it for a while," Duncan stated confidently.
"Can you hold it for another ten chapters?" Gwen snarkily replied leaving Duncan to his thoughts for a few seconds before deciding "Meh. Sure, I'll go, but don't you dare try to film me on the can, got it?"
Duncan pointed at one of the cameramen directly who shrugged, the delinquent couldn't follow up on any threats he made, especially when they were armed and he wasn't.
Duncan and the cameraman walked towards the communal bathrooms while Gwen was lost in her own thoughts.
I have to keep going…
I won't go down that easily…
I will survive. I'm going to come out of here unscathed…
I'm going back home to see my family again…
I am… not… tired… not yet…
Gwen finally gave in and collapsed to the ground snoring.

Gwen woke up to see herself lying on the grass as Chris poked her with a handgun.
Dammit! I lost! And I was so close too! She thought.
Chris looked down at the goth girl, who was too tired to snarl or show her anger at the host.
"Gwen…
…congrats on winning the Awakeathon for the Screaming Gophers!" Chris congratulated Gwen with a glamorous smile.
Great! I won! I did it! Gwen smiled for the first time on the island before she fell back asleep, happy for her and her team.
(Confessional: Duncan)
The delinquent carved at the side of the confessional with a sharp stick, where Heather had left a crack on the side of the wall. He was snarling in anger.
"Dammit! I lost it for my team! And I was just there too! I fell asleep on the can and Pasty fell a minute after I did! Unbelievable! I guess we'll have to vote someone off our team now… wow… it feels disgusting knowing we'll have to…"
Duncan yawned as he looked down at the confessional floorboards with a slight frown on his face.
(End Confessional: Duncan)
The camera flashed to the elimination ceremony, where the Killer Bass sat on the stumps beside the campfire.
Many of the Killer Bass had faces of worry, some more than others.
Izzy had a look of excitement, she had yelled at everyone to 'choose Bridgette for the next slaughter' as she had been sobbing for her entire time on the island, confident she would be next.
Bridgette had the highest look of anxiety on her face, not only was she disgusted morally by having to choose to nominate one of her fellow teenagers to death, but she was worried especially from Izzy calling her out and telling the others to vote for her.
Chris appeared at the right of the screen, a tray of marshmallows held in his hand. Chef appeared behind him with his iconic sharp cleaver.
"Campers, welcome to the elimination ceremony! Here's the deal, this is where you will all vote for your fellow campers and choose one of them to be slaughtered by yours truly! If one of you decides not to vote, I will personally deal with a random stubborn one of you."
Chris puts down the tray on the oil drum and pulls out his pistol.
The handgun gleams brightly from the shining blazes emitted from the fires.
The campers stood up with a sorrowful, tired look on their face and headed towards the confessional.
The camera flashed forward after each of the campers had voiced who they decided to be executed. Chris smiled, holding up the marshmallows in his tray.
"Campers, after three long days of trying to stay awake, you fumbled it. One of you will not receive a marshmallow, the coveted symbol of safety, and die today."
Chris picked up the marshmallow. "However, one of you who is receiving a marshmallow is today's longest-standing member, Duncan!"
The delinquent remained silent as Chris tossed the marshmallow to Duncan. He simply ignored the marshmallow, letting it drop to the ground, and walked to a small clearing behind Chris.
"Also living today is Sadie!"
Sadie smiled as Chris threw her a marshmallow, she gobbled it up quickly before walking up and stood next to Duncan.
"Tyler!" The jock cheered as a marshmallow was lobbed in his direction. He tried grabbing it multiple times mid-air as the marshmallow flailed around before landing on the ground.
"Ezekiel!" The homeschooler smiled, showing off his teeth as he grabbed his marshmallow out of the air and ate it.
"Eva!" The female brute grabbed the marshmallow out of the air before grinding it in her hands, leaving nothing but the dust of the treat as she walked with a blank expression.
"DJ!" The brick house chattered his teeth, shaking, before realizing his name was called, and walked up to stand by his teammates.
"Harold! The lanky nerd cheered 'Wicked!' before catching the treat in his mouth and walked next to Tyler and Zeke, the former giving him a fist bump.

"Geoff!" The party dude held a smile and picked up a marshmallow, his face turning into a frown as he realized that there was one marshmallow left with Bridgette and Izzy at the stumps.
"Campers, this is the last marshmallow of this evening, the symbol of safety on this island."
Izzy held a look of excitement and shook her hands, eyeing the marshmallow. She did not doubt that the surfer chick was doomed.
Bridgette had barely kept herself from sobbing on the spot. She looked at the marshmallow. Then Geoff. Then Izzy. She began to hyperventilate as thoughts of doubt crossed her mind.
"The camper who will not be executed this evening is…

…Bridgette." Bridgette leaped up with joy as Izzy took in a second to realize that she was chosen for death instead, her face quickly turning to shock.
"Oh! Oh, God! Thank you so much!"
"Wait, wait, what the fuck!"
Bridgette ran up to Geoff, who returned to her a strong hug. After coming to her senses she realized that she was about to see a death first hand.
"What the hell you assholes! I'm stronger! I'm not a crybaby! Why did you choose me?" Izzy looked back at her teammates, with a few of them looked at her with guilt.
"It's because you're a psychopath," Eva responded, giving a blank stare at the orange-haired girl.
"This… this isn't right! You'll.. you'll never take me alive!" Izzy lunged forward at the grinning host, Chris stepped back unholstering his weapon, ready to fire at the girl as Chef leaped in the protection of the mighty host, tackling Izzy before she made contact with the dazzling Chris.
Izzy was about to scream in absolute fear as Chef picked her up by the neck.
SNAP
A lifeless breath came out of Izzy's mouth as Chef's hands twisted the psycho hose beast's neck abnormally.
Bridgette looked away at the girl, tucking her face into Geoff's chest.
Sadie and Courtney both cried out loud, holding themselves back from crying.
DJ cried out to his mama as he heard Izzy's neck break.
Ezekiel flinched and covered his eyes, not wanting to see the dead girl's corpse. He squeezed his cross necklace as she died.
Eva stood there motionless, almost as if nothing happened.
Duncan stood there the same, attempting to be motionless but on the inside… on the inside… he was scared shitless.
Chris smiled as Chef returned to his side. For a second, he was worried that Izzy would've gotten his hands on him before he could unholster his shiny weapon.
The dead girl's back laid to the sky as did the front of her face, which held an expression of shock and confusion.
"Poor Iz! Huh?" Chris smiled at the camera which turned away from the corpse into Chris's grin. "That's the second camper we've watched die so far. What alliance will make it to the top? What alliance will crumble beneath the pressure? Find out next time on Total! Drama! Island!"
The camera fades to black and turns to static. The episode ends.
Voting Confessionals:
Bridgette: "This… This is disgusting… I can't believe I'm doing this… I vote for Izzy… I hope nobody decides to vote with her… I'm hoping my alliance will keep their words…"
Tyler: "Izzy's way out of control! She's gonna end up killing us all, she's completely crazy! I vote for Izzy."
Harold: "Izzy has no honor at all! One may never welcome death in such a disrespectful manner, GOSH! Has she never heard of such honorful ways?"
Courtney: "This is a terrible thing to do, but, alas I spoke with my alliance and we've decided to set on Izzy. It seems as if many of the other teammates also want her gone. *yawn*"
Izzy: "Buh-bye, surfer girl! It's been fun while it's lasted for you, but you've been crying way too much! Izzy's gonna take down her dumbass boyfriend next! I'm so excited! Woohoo!"
Duncan: "Man- I- *yawn* I blew it today. I was so close to beating Pasty! If only I kept myself awake for another minute… …I guess I vote Izzy… …That's what the four of us agreed upon…"
DJ: "I'm sorry! I'm so sorry! I don't want to do this! I… I vote Izzy!"
Eva: "Izzy. She is psychotic."
Ezekiel: "One who wishes death upon others is not welcome here, this place is miserable as is. I vote for Izzy."
Sadie: "Izzy scares me too much! She keeps blabbering about how she's gonna kill everyone! I vote for Izzy! I'm sorry!
Geoff: "Man, this situation sucks dude, I don't wanna vote for anybody, it's a real bummer. Bridgette seems to be taking it hard since Izzy hollered at everyone to vote for Bridgette. I vote Izzy though, nobody should torment Bridge like that!"

Final Words: "This… this isn't right! You'll.. you'll never take me alive!"
Alrighty! I had the most fun writing this chapter so far. Izzy goes freakin' berserk! Even though this challenge is a simple concept, it's easily one of my favorite challenges due to the countless possible character interactions. This episode mostly just establishes alliances, which I'm really excited to develop more in future chapters! Which alliance is your favorite? And which do you think will fall first? Read and Review!
