(Violet's Pov)
Today was thanksgiving and I was currently helping Clementine with the food. I had set out the cold finger foods for everyone to pick at while we wait for the main dinner. Louis and the others were able to make it this year, but they said they wouldn't be able to make it for Christmas, which was fine Clementine had planned to head out of the state anyway much to her mother's digression and my own mother too.
"I still don't see why you'll be out of the states for Christmas, no family to spend it with." My own mother says as I set out the carrots and celery sticks.
"We aren't going out of the states mother, we're heading to Alaska." I say to her and pat Kat on the head.
"Well, it's close to being out of the states." She says and I chuckled.
"We want to see the northern lights on Christmas; besides it would be good for us, we haven't had time to ourselves I mean we spent our honeymoon here because I couldn't see." I stated as Clementine came in and kissed my cheek, I smiled and kissed Clem on her cheek and went back in the kitchen.
"Don't those happen all the time there though?" She asked.
"It would be nice to see them on Christmas, don't you think that to be romantic?" I asked her.
"I still think you should spend it here with family." She says and I come back with some ranch and I hugged my mom.
"Hey if you're worried, don't be we have a cabin rented out there, and it's very beautiful, we'll send photos as well." I say.
"You got a camera?" She asked and I nodded.
"Yes, it was cheap." I tell her.
"Cheap? The film must cost a fortune alone." Carley says and I roll my eyes.
"It's fine, it's not like we will be taking photos of everything." Clem says and we finished with the small stuff.
"This will be good for us." I tell them and they chatted more. Louis came over to try and take a cherry for the dessert and Clem smacked his hand.
"Hey I just wanted one." He says.
"I did the same thing to Violet this morning." She says and I look to him as he looked to me and I nod.
"Yeah, she did, except she had a spoon." I warn him and he lifts his hands in surrender.
"Fair enough." He says and I nod.
"So, when are you two going to expect the baby?" Louis asked and I quickly look to Clementine as she stopped working on the dessert. She looked over to me and then set the baking kit down and heads out of the house.
"What?" Louis asked.
"Just… not now." I say and I follow Clementine as she goes outside.
"Clem." I say and she heads over to one of the trees and takes a seat. I go over to her and lean on the tree a bit as I looked down to her. She was looking at the pond and I rubbed the back of my neck a bit and I sighed. I then take a seat next to her and she looks to me and I opened my arms for her and she comes close to me and I gently rubbed her back.
"It's ok Clem." I say and kissed her head gently.
"I… I know I just… I forgot we didn't tell them." She says quietly and I nod.
"We were a little busy." I say to her quietly and she sighed.
"Sorry I shouldn't be mad or anything, I shouldn't be sad after so many times." She says to me and I moved to look at her.
"Hey it's ok to be sad, it's a sad thing, I know they told us to not get our hopes up but we couldn't help it, I mean us having a kid? It… it's a new person we are going to meet, it's all new to us and we want it just like anyone else." I say and she nods a bit and lays her head on my chest and I rubbed her back.
"What if we try it with… you know." She says and I nod.
"We can… I swear if it works then that's fucked up." I say and she laughed.
"Think of it as Gods gift." She says and I laughed at this too.
"Yeah? Throw me in a shit life but let me have this one thing?" I asked and she nods.
"Why not?" She asked and I laughed.
"Well, we can wait a bit on this, we can try after our trip… unless you want to try before?" I asked and she shrugged.
"I don't know… we can try before… but if it doesn't work, we can still adopt." She says and I nod at this. When she was calmed down a bit and I helped her inside the house. She goes and tell Louis she was sorry but that it was a touchy subject for her at the moment. He understood and said he was sorry too and that he shouldn't have asked. When it was time for dinner, we all went to the table, I had gone and bough a bigger table for this but we still had the small table to the side for the younger kids to eat at.
It was a nice dinner, I was happy we did this if I have to be honest, it just felt nice. I held Clementines hand under the table our rings matching up with each other and I look to her as she was talking to her dad. They were talking about what we will be doing while in Alaska and I look to my mom who was talking to Carley.
"So, this will be your honey moon?" I hear and look to Louis and I nod.
"Yep, I mean honestly I'm mostly there to see if-." I stopped a bit and rubbed the back of my head.
"If?" Brody asked and I clear my throat.
"Well with the new job and all they might transfer me there for a while." I tell them.
"Wait they might?" Louis asked.
"Either here or Hawaii, hell they even said L.A. was a possibility." I tell them.
"Wait so you two will be moving?" I hear Lee asked and I look to him.
"Maybe… I mean I can find a place to rent while I'm there if Clementine doesn't want to… but we are going to Alaska for a make up of our honeymoon, so don't worry." I tell them.
"And you're ok with this?" Carley asked Clementine.
"If I'm ok with moving?" Clem asked and she nods.
"Yes, I'm ok with it if we have to… it's not a bad thing." She says.
"But you like it here, right?" AJ asked as we looked to him.
"Yes, I do like it here, I'm not leaving for good." She says and I held her hand a little tighter. When we all finished dinner Clementine and I grabbed the desserts and brought them to the table. I didn't have anything since I was full from the dinner. But that didn't stop me from having a few drinks.
"The fact that you ate as much as you did is amazing." Louis says.
"You should see her at the shop, she keeps taking the miniature samples." Clem says.
"But they are so good, I love my wife's cooking." I say and lean my head on her shoulder.
"You've been spoiled." My mom says.
"I have not." I mutter.
"Oh yes she is spoiled." Clementine says.
"I am not." I say to her.
"She asks for so many cuddles it's unbelievable." Clem tells them.
"Ok so I like to hold my wife nothing wrong with that." I say as I grabbed Clementine by her waist. Our friends started to laugh at this as I pulled her closer to me.
"You are so damn spoiled." Louis says.
"I am not, I am just showing my girl all the love and appreciation she deserves." I stated.
"By demanding cuddles." Clementine says.
"I like to cuddle so what? Louis use to cuddle Marlon." I say.
"ONE TIME!" He says and we all laughed.
"He thought Marlon was a giant teddy bear." Ruby says.
"SHUT UP!" Louis yelled but then he started to laugh as did we. I move from Clementine a bit and grabbed the bottle of beer and took a drink and I offered her some, which she took and I go back to holding her.
"Oh when she first got drunk we were going back to our hotel and she sees this cat." Clementine explained.
"It was a magic kitty by the way." I tell them.
"A magic kitty?" Louis asked.
"Dude I turn away just a second and then it was gone. Poof magic." I say and he laughed at this.
"Dude it just walked away." He tells me.
"No don't say that it was a magic cat." I say and I feel Clementine rub my head.
"Yes of course it was magic." She says and I chuckled. Lee, Carley and AJ had gone to their house and My mother and Kat left to the hotel even though we said they could take mine and Clem's room but they declined saying something about needing to spend some time with our friends and that we might be too loud.
"Hahah to loud, Nah we ain't loud." I say as I grabbed another beer.
"Yooo, I got some cards let's play a game." Louis says.
"Fuck yes." I say and head back to the couch.
"What is the game my good sir?" I asked in a fake British accent.
"Ohoho well my good madam we are playing the card game of all card games." He says also with a fake accent.
"Strip poker?" I asked and he laughed as did the others.
"Nah, besides I don't think Clementine would like to know how bad you are at poker." He says and I wave him off.
"No, we are playing war, but with a twist." He says.
"Shit we played this back at the school." Mitch says.
"Wait, how can war have a twist?" Clemetine asked.
"Means we get to ask questions to the lowest card… well the highest card gets to." I tried to explain.
"Oh, got it, let's play." She says and I nod as we all went to the table and we played the game a bit. Louis ends up with the high card and Clementine ends up with the low card this round.
"Alright Clementine, we aren't playing a clean version of this game, soooo… who is the one on top?" Louis asked and I sputter my drink.
"Why would you ask that?" I laughed as I shoved him.
"Hey just a curious man I am, besides need to know who to get good sex advice from." He says and I shoved him again.
"Well Vinny tops." Clementine says and they look to her a bit confused.
"Wait, I was talking about you and Violet though." He says and I laughed at this.
"I'm… I'm Vinny." I laughed.
"Wait… is this a kink?" Brody asked and I shake my head a bit.
"Nah just… some things going on and well… yeah just stuff." I say and take a drink.
"Wait what kind of stuff?" Ruby asked.
"Just stuff." I say and lean my head onto Clementine.
"Yes, but what kind of stuff? You got to help us understand." Brody says and I take a breath and look to Clementine a bit. I then look to the others.
"It's… something my therapist has talked to me about… how I like to be the provider and stuff just stupid stuff." I wave off and I feel Clementine rub my back.
"Wait so you think you're a guy?" Mitch asked.
"No… it's a little more complex than that." I tell them.
"Got it… so should we start calling you Vinny?" Louis asked.
"Nah it's fine if you call me Violet, but if out in public, then yes please try and call me Vinny." I tell them and they nod at this.
"Got it… Vinny though?" Louis asked and I chuckled.
"It was a nickname my grandpa gave me when I joked saying I wanted to be a boy." I tell him. He nods and we play the game more. it was getting late and so everyone was leaving and Clem and I was left alone. Even in my state I helped her clean up and I hold her from behind as I put my head next to her neck.
"How are you feeling?" She asked.
"I'm ok, and what about you?" I asked and kissed her neck a bit.
"I'm feeling good." She tells me and placed her hands on top of mine. I stopped kissing her neck and she turned her head a bit to look at me and I smiled at her.
"You… are a wonderful woman." I say to her.
"Oh? Why do you say that?" She asked and I look to her.
"Because you are." I tell her.
"Hmm, sure." She says in that heartbroken voice and I held her a little tighter.
"You are." I tell her. I knew what was bothering her. I feel her rub my hand gently and I kissed her cheek gently.
"You are a wonderful woman Clem… what can I do to show you?" I asked her but she said nothing. I know it was a hard question to answer so I think.
"Let me… let me reword that." I say as I think and she giggles.
"I know what you are saying it's ok… it's just… I know you think I'm wonderful and it does make me feel good just… I don't know how I can put it in words for myself without sounding… self-absorbed I believe is the correct way to say it." She tells me.
"Hey nothing wrong with that, at least in my opinion." I tell her and she nods a bit.
"Regardless, I know because you have shown me." She tells me and I nod and she kissed my cheek. I gently let her go and she turns to face me and then she hugged me.
"Now, I don't know about you but I think we should take the time to relax before you head into work." She says and I groaned a bit.
"Ugh fuck work I want to spend more time with you." I say as I hugged her. She laughed lightly and I hold her closer to me.
"I know, but I have to open up the shop tomorrow too." She says and I sighed.
"Alright… alright, let's relax… kinda want some of that pumpkin pie your grandma made." I say and she giggles.
"Get the plates and I will get the pie." She tells me and I nod as I go and get the plates and she gets the pie. She put the slices on the plates and I take them to the living room. We take a seat and the television was on and it was the weather for the next few days.
"Hope you all are ready for a big snow storm on Saturday, the weather is supposed to drop down into the negatives." The news reporter says and I take a bite of my pie.
"Hmm, I'll get some salt for the sidewalk to the shop." Clem says.
"I'll lay it for ya." I tell her and take another bite of the pie.
"I got it." She says and I look to her.
"Well, I will be coming in for some warm hot chocolate." I say and she laughed.
"Oh really? You aren't going to secretly lay the salt?" She asked.
"Damn, my plans are foiled, but I still will get a hot chocolate." I tell her. She laughed again and kissed my cheek gently.
"You're to kind." She says and I chuckled. We hear the weather report for a while and once we were done, I get up and take the plates and forks to the sink and clean them. When done Clementine turned the television off and we went to our room to go to sleep.
The next week was a little hectic for the both of us. I was currently in my office looking over the paperwork for a shipment that needed to be made but the product was not yet ready and it needed to be in the states by Saturday since we were required to have Sunday off. I was rubbing my head as I was also on call with the owner of the factory we were working with.
"Look I don't give a damn who you are but we have other orders to fulfill." The man says pissed and I rubbed my face a bit.
"I'm just trying to see how the product we ordered months in advance isn't ready yet, and when we expect the order to be finished?" I asked as calmly as I could.
"I don't know another six months." They say and I sputter a bit.
"Six… six months what the fuck?" I asked myself quietly and I take a breath.
"Ok so that's going to be an issue, we need it by Saturday-."
"You don't understand shit-."
"Sir we put the order in advance because we knew it would take time, your company said it would be fulfilled by this Saturday date, trust me I would have understood if there was an issue at the factory and was told in advance, we could have had at least half the order made by another company and the rest from you." I say calmly.
"Hey fuck you-."
"Alright I'll tell the boss that you were unable to fulfill the order and we would like our money back, that's all I can say, you can deal with him, thank you." I say and hang up. I sighed as I rubbed my temples a bit and then I hear my office door open and I see one of the secretaries.
"Everything ok Mr. Everette?" She asked and I nod.
"Yes, I just have to tell the boss the factory was unable to fulfil the order… probably gonna get yelled at for it." I mutter as I make a note and get up.
"I'm going out for lunch, you want anything?" I asked as I grabbed my jacket.
"Depends on where you're going." She says.
"Heading to my wife's shop, but I can go to the sandwich shop next door." I tell her and she nods as she tells me what she would like and I nod as I head out. Once I get to Clem's I see that it was getting busy so I walked in to see a lot of people.
"Oh, Hey Vinny, hold on." She says as she hands a box to a customer and the next person come up. I look in the back to see Omar and I look to Clementine and she nods and motions for me to go back there if I want so I do.
"Hey Omar, been a long time." I say as I see him.
"Vinny, sorry Louis told me, how are you?" He asked as he wiped the flour on his apron.
"It's fine, and I'm ok… need some help? Seems like it's really busy out there." I say and he nods. I go and take my jacket off and grabbed a spare apron and hurried to help them out. I would bring the baked goods to Clementine as she would get the orders and I would take the orders and pack what we had as Omar baked the treats. We had finished up in record time and Clementine comes in the back and sighed as she takes a seat.
"Thanks for the help, Omar." She says and he nods.
"Anytime Clem." He says.
"So why are you here? Not that I'm complaining." I say as I get Clementine a water which she thanks me for.
"Oh, I tried to get a job at the restaurant a few blocks down, then I saw Clementine here and it was packed so I decided to help." He says and I nod.
"How was the interview?" I asked.
"I didn't get the job." He says.
"You can work here if you want… Vinny use to help before he got the contracting job." Clem offered.
"That would be great actually." He says and I nod. At least I know she would have some help here.
"Great, you're hired." She says and I take the apron off.
"Shit, I actually wanted to get something real quick, I have to head back to work in a few minutes." I tell her and she nods as she gets me some extra treats and I kissed her head as I and her some money which she tried to deny and I roll my eyes.
"Take it." I say and she sighed as she does. I smiled and she kissed my cheek before I left and went to the sandwich shop and got the sandwich. I finally get back just in time for the secretary to take her break and I hand her the food along with a few cookies.
"My wife gave me extras." I tell her and she laughed.
"Bet she's trying to fatten you up." She jokes and I chuckled a little.
"Maybe… anyway have a good lunch break." I say and she nods as she leaves and I go back into the office and I take a seat in my chair and tried to look for another company that would be willing to take the offer of making our order in a short amount of time.
"I understand and I am sorry, I can talk to my boss and see if he's willing to pay double for the product." I tried to explain.
"Alright, if that is possible, we can see, I would suggest getting another company to fulfil half the order as well, I know another company and I can give you, their number." The woman says and I sighed.
"Thank you so damn much." I say as I hear her giggle a bit and I get the number. I was able to get ahold of the order and they said they could fulfill half the order and I was glad that I was able to get them to do this. I informed the boss and I was glad he was understanding.
"Alright, as long as you can get the order in by Saturday that's all that matters, we will not do business with the other company and I will inform them personally, is there anything else?" He asked.
"Not that I know of." I tell him.
"Alright, call those two companies back and inform them they will each be paid double the amount so it's them being paid if they did a full order each… I'll see what I can do with budgeting later." He tells me and I nod.
"Got it." I tell him and we hung up. I called up both the companies and explained their pay and they agreed and said they would get started on the order today. I'm tired by the end of the day and I look to my watch and see that I should be clocking out soon but I still had to stay over time in order to inform the warehouse of who will be coming to deliver the order. I grabbed my jacket and head over to the warehouse and told the boss there about the situation and understood that there would be two different trucks coming in for the order.
When all was said and done, I head back to my office and I go take a seat in the lounge area and I rubbed my head a bit at all of this. It was a huge headache to say and I hear someone come up next to me. I opened my eyes and look to see the secretary with a water and some pills and I take them.
"Thanks." I say as I took the water then the pills.
"Hard day hu?" She asked and I nodded.
"The one factory said thy would have the order done this Saturday, then tell me it would take six additional months, but… I was able to get other companies to do half the orders each, which was great but the boss now has to budget since he's paying double." I mutter and rubbed my face with my free hand.
"I'm surprised you haven't got a whole liquor cabinet in your office with all this stress." She tells me and I nod.
"I should invest in that." I mutter and finished my water and I get up.
"Well, I'm about to head out." She says.
"Let me walk you to your car at least." I say as I get up.
"Oh, my such a gentleman." She says and I just nod as I take her to her car. Once the car is gone, I head back in my office and I get ready to leave for the night. I grabbed some papers that I could look over while at home and I head back over to Clementine's shop just in time to see her locking up the shop.
"Hey." I say and she turned to see me and I smile at her.
"Hey… you look tired." She says as she comes up to me.
"I am… but today was just a bad day." I tell her.
"Well, when we get home, we can just relax." She says and I nod as we head on home. We enter the house and I take my jacket off and go take a seat on the couch. We had gotten food at one of the restaurants that was still open since both of us were too tired to cook tonight. We sat on the couch and the radio was playing some music and I take a breath as we finished half the food. I set my plate on the coffee table and I grabbed a cigarette and offered one to Clementine who took one and I lite them both up.
"Just one more week and we're on our vacation." She says and I chuckled.
"Yeah." I say quietly and then feel her move closer to me and I kissed her and she kissed me back. We chatted for a bit and finished our dinner, when done we went to bed so we were ready for tomorrow.
"I was talking to the doctor the other day." She says and I look down to her as she had her head on my chest.
"Oh?" I asked gently and rubbed her back.
"Just… one more try." She says quietly and I nod as I kept rubbing her back.
"Ok… one more try." I say quietly and she nods. The week passed by and it was great that the order was able to be completed with just an hour delay but it was fine at least we had it done. I was with Clementine as we had our bags packed and Lee said he would drive us to the airport. When we got there it was an hour before the flight so we did what we needed to do and took a seat by the flight. I looked over to see a bar and I look to Clementine as she was reading one of those magazines.
"Hey wanna get a drink?" I asked and she looked to me then to the bar.
"Sure." She says and I nod as we get up and go to the bar. We got a few drinks, not a lot to get drunk on but just enough that we were ok. I hear as they call our flight and I grabbed her bag and mine as we went to get on the flight. We take our seats after I put our bags in the overhead and I take a seat next to her and held her hand. I still wasn't a fan of flying but it was getting a little better. We were a good six hours into the flight when there was a jostle to the plane and I was woken up and looked around.
"We're fine." Clem tells me and I nod and lay my head back in the seat.
"I got you a sandwich, didn't know if you wanted anything else." She tells me and I nod as I take the sandwich from her.
"Honestly don't think I could stomach anything else." I tell her and I take a bite.
"We have about an hour twenty minutes till we land." She tells me and I nod and she holds my hand gently.
"I must have been tired." I say and she nods.
"Same, I woke up an hour ago though." She says and I nod. I look to the window and saw the clouds and smiled.
"Flying ain't that bad." I mutter and she giggles. The flight attendance came by and asked if we would like something to read and I nod as I get a paper and Clem got a book. I read the paper a bit and by the time we were going to land I fold up the paper and then we land. When we exit the airport, I made sure to grab our coats so we wouldn't be frozen. We were able to get a ride to our cabin and it was beautiful. We go inside after I pay the cab fare. Once inside we set our bags to the side and I go start up a fire to get the place warmed up.
"Oh, look a little card." Clem says as she comes over to me to show me the card and I read it.
"Welcome Mr. and Mrs. Everette, we hope that you have a wonderful stay here at the cabins, and have a wonderful honeymoon." I read.
"That's so sweet." She says and I smile and nod as I hand her the card.
"They also have a snowmobile for us to use." She says to me and I looked to the window a bit and saw a barn.
"Want to check it out?" I asked.
"Sounds like fun." She says and I laughed as we go outside and head to the barn. I opened the door and we go inside and I see the snowmobile.
"Looks like a car on skis." I laughed as we looked to it and she nods.
"Hey better than freezing." She says and I nod. There was even a map in the barn and I look to it.
"Was nice of them to have this set up." I say as I looked to see we were a good hour away from the main town area. They also have times and where we could go hunting if we want, and were to get a hunting license.
"Oh, that sounds fun… I heard elk tastes good." I say and she comes over and looks.
"You want to try that?" She asked and I shrugged.
"I don't mind just going into town… which we actually should do." I say and stretch a bit.
"How about we relax a bit before we head out." She suggests and I nod. We go back into the cabin and I make sure to keep the fire going. I looked to see that there was a paper here as well and I read it a bit.
"Hey they have those dog races next month." I say as I show her the paper.
"Oh, too bad we'll be gone." She says and I nod sadly.
"Wouldn't mind coming to see them one day." She says and I nod and keep reading the paper as I take a seat in the recliner.
"They're holding a Christmas event in town, want to go to that?" I asked.
"On Christmas?" She asked.
"Well Christmas Eve is when it's going to start, but that's so the kids go to bed I suppose." I say to her.
"Sure, we can go, it sounds like it's going to be a fun trip." She says and I nod. Once the house is warmed enough, I made sure to cover the fire so it could stay warm in here while we went out, and to make sure the cabin didn't burn down. We head into town and we head to the market.
"Hey you two must be new here." We hear and nod as we talked to the locals. We explained we were here for our honeymoon and they said that the best place to see the norther nights was, and I saw Clementine head over to the meat section. When we were done, we went to the cabin and cooked our dinner. It was nice it was calming and we heard a few wolves howling. We laid on the couch and listened to the fire as it crackled and we had the radio on as well. It was a great honeymoon, we got to see the norther lights, we got to do many things we planned and it was just nice.
"Lee and Carley called to ask how we are." Clem says as we worked on dinner.
"Oh, what else?" I asked.
"Well AJ was wondering when we will be back, Louis called too asking if we need to extend the trip." She laughed and I roll my eyes.
"Of course, he would ask that." I say as we started dinner. The radio was playing some music when there was a broadcast announcement.
"Carver has said to have been spotted in the state of Tennessee, though many people said they have seen him keep an eye out." They say and I look to the radio.
"I'm surprised they don't have the national guard looking for him." I mutter.
"It would cause a bit of panic." Clem tells me and I nod knowing that she is right. We finished up dinner and we had our bags by the door so we were ready to leave tomorrow.
"This was a fun vacation." She says as she lays on me and I chuckled and nod.
"Yeah, once you get use to the cold." I laughed as did she.
"We should do this again… in a few years of course." She says and I nod. We had gotten back home by the time new years was around and we were currently over at Clem's grandparents' house. We were going to head into the town for the fireworks and Clementine made sure to get me some ear plugs which I was thankful for. As we walked around the town a bit there were some stalls set up with some fireworks for the families to purchase for the kids and I got some for AJ which he was happy about.
The celebration was nice, and I was glad for the ear plugs because of how loud Clementine said it was possible that I would have had a panic attack. A few more months would pass and Clementine and I had gone to the doctors for her. We just said one more time, just one more time and if it didn't work, we would just start adopting. I was currently at work the day she was supposed to find out and I felt bad I wasn't there.
"Oh, don't feel bad you said she was showing signs, right?" The secretary asked as I sat at my desk eating my lunch.
"Yeah, but it's happened before and it was just those… phantom symptoms." I say quietly.
"Well, you two did say you would adopt, it's a good thing to do, my sister fosters kids and adopts as well, her and her husband are happy they could give children a home." She tells me and I nod.
"I know but… it would be nice to have at least one kid of our own… but I'd be glad to help any children." I say and she nods.
"I understand." She tells me and I nod. The work day felt longer than usual, I guess I was just nervous, Clementine didn't call so maybe it didn't work this time. I sighed as I finally get home and I look to see Lee and Carley with Clementine as they sat over by the couch. They get up and leave the house and I go over to Clementine and take a seat next to her. She was looking to the ground a bit and I place my hand on her back and she looked to me a bit. she then got up and I watched her and I rubbed my face a bit.
"Clem it's ok." I tell her as I get up.
"I know." She says and I go over to her. She then hands me the envelope and I honestly didn't want to read it.
"I… Hmm." I sighed as I opened the envelope and read the paper a bit and then I look to her quickly then to the paper then back to her.
"You're… we're going to." I tried to say and she nods and I set the paper on the table and pick her up.
"WE'RE HAVING A BABY?!" I yelled in excitement and she laughed and hugged me.
"Yes." She tells me and I kissed the side of her head.
"Boy or girl? Wait its way to early to know just… holy fuck we're going to be parents." I say excited and she kisses me.
"It's ok to be excited." She tells me.
"Ok, we need to get those um… baby books, yes lots of baby books, and toys more toys." I laughed and so did she.
"Well let's hold off on all that." She tells me and I set her down gently.
"I… I need to call mom, tell her the news, Louis and them too." I say as I was about to go to the phone but was stopped.
"I was wanting to wait till the summer to tell them, that way I'll be showing a bit more… I don't want to jinx all this." She says and I nod in understanding.
"Ok, ok… shit I'm just… we're having a kid?" I asked and she nods and kisses me on the cheek and I smiled at her.
"Yes dear, we are." She tells me and I nod again.
"I love you, Clementine." I tell her as I hugged her.
"I love you too Violet… now come on I have dinner ready." She tells me and we go have our dinner and we were writing down baby names as we ate.
