Ladies and Gentlemen, here's part five of the new name that Ben will get added to his bounty.

Chapter 26: Ben (Part One of Three)

Ben trudged through the dunes, his eyes locked towards the distance of where the 'strange' energy source was coming from; his hands stuffed into the pockets of his pale green jacket, his fingers wrapped around the gift Paradox gave him just before leaving him to heal and grow... Paradox's words not his own.

Ben sighed images passing him by as his will... his 'Kings' Will as Paradox put it sensed that the fight Ben was heading towards was one... he may not return from... and behind him was the area of another great fight... one that Ben would have to leave up to Luffy and his crew... Ben knew this world, this universe didn't like him being here, he could feel it, his gut told him... not in many words it just felt like something was pulling Ben one way... while the rest of the Strawhats were being pulled the other.

Ben could have called on Paradox; as he thought this thought, he pulled the pocket watch from inside the coat pocket where it rested, Ben could have stopped travelling within this new universe a while ago; just by calling on Paradox by leaving behind this 'gift' but something within told Ben otherwise... So once again into the pocket, the watch returned, and onwards Ben walked... He could have gone through any number of his transformations... but something told Ben to stay Human for now... Something about this energy reminded him so much of Grandpa Max...

As Ben got closer and closer to the port town, the energy seemed to be returned toward the dock... Ben knew he had to kick into a higher gear, his walking becoming a jog and then running once he felt the energy coming to a stop... just at where the Merry was docked!

Ben's footfalls came into contact with cobblestone; as the port town came into view, it wasn't long before Ben was back to where the Journey began in this strange island of Alabasta... then he saw what he feared, Marines all surrounding the Merry, one seemed to be having a conversation with himself about how they'd turn the ship before them intro scrap so that the Strawhat crew's journey stopped before it even had a chance to begin...

Ben's hands tightened into fists as he heard that conversation, but before he could charge in.. the energy came rushing back, all the force of a weathered storm barling down on the unlucky marine, who looked upwards... Ben copied that marine gaze and standing on top the crow's nest was a marine unlike anything Ben had seen before... a tall, tanned, broad-chested, muscular old man. He has a beard and a scar over his left eye. He seemed to be in a staring contest with the unlucky marine, who barrelled over in a faint

"YOU DON'T TOUCH THIS SHIP GOT IT!" the marine said with a yell, his forceful voice seemed to jog an old memory from Ben... from years ago when Grandpa Max had a staredown with Azmuth over the Master control option with the original model of the Omnitrix.

The marine this powerful figure caused to faint seemed to come back from his forceful sleep, only to vanish in a plume of cartoonish-like smoke from how fast he ran.

Ben seemed to get the same feeling as he did then from Grandpa Max, that he does from this marine... power, unbridled power. He watched as this marine lept from the crow's nest to come down with the softest landing Ben had ever seen, not a single spec of sand was shifted from where he landed...

Ben realised right at that moment, that this was someone to respect and also fear; because where this unbridled power landed... was not that far from where Ben had stopped to stare.

"I can feel you kid." the man's gruff voice said, after a few seconds of tense silence, not even the wind made any noise. Ben came from where he was hiding and stood face to face with this man of remarkable power and skill.

"So... You're the one that has the higher-ups in a ruckus... You and my idiotic grandson..." the man says, his gruff voice seeming to take on a sombre tone when talking about his grandson... Who was the grandson in the crew that caused this feeling of somberness from this powerhouse of a man? It couldn't have been Nami, Usopp or Chopper this mand was speaking about... Zoro, Ben wasn't too sure it was him either... or Sanji... that left...

"Luffy..." Ben says as his eyes widen, the man before him nods.

"Yeah, my grandson... Monkey D Luffy..." the man says pulling from inside his coat Luffy's bounty.

Not a single word was said, nothing could have prepared Ben for that bombshell of an update... that made this man standing before him his Captain's grandfather...

'Shit' Ben thought, as he watched Luffy's grandfather put the bounty back into the coat, as it entered another bounty appeared in his other hand... a Bounty that Ben had seen, it was his own... it was unfinished, it only had his name, his bounty... and the picture Paradox took of his worst moment... covered in Vilgax's blood. other than that it was unfinished, it didn't have the stamp of the Marines or the codename that the Marines would give him.

"See kid, I don't know you, the higher-ups wanted this..." Luffy's grandfather says waving the bounty around like a man possessed

"They wanted this to be your future." he adds throwing the bounty to the floor, on the bounty stamped across Ben's face was the word "DANGEROUS" Ben watched Luffy's grandfather stand on the bounty grinding it into the floor under his boot.

Ben watched as Luffy's grandfather seemed to argue within himself; Ben's eyes widened as he dodged a lazily thrown strike; Ben watched Luffy's grandfather weighing the pros and cons inside his head, before leaping back once again and dodging another lazily thrown strike.

"You have it too... the will of the sea?" Luffy's grandfather says placing his hands into his coat, his eyes trailing over Ben, who was calmly waiting for another strike.

"Yeah... what if I do?" Ben says, watching as Luffy's grandfather pulls out a box of crackers from inside the pockets of his coat; Ben then watches as Luffy's grandfather calmly eat from the box of crackers, then lazily throw the empty cracker box behind him.

"Then this will be interesting." Luffy's grandfather says rushing forward with one arm with a clenched fist raised above his head
