Chapter 52
"Meeting Scully and Mulder"
In Moscow, Stewart Swinton had been interrogated by having his head dunked into a toilet. But, if he thought that his interrogation was over, it was not. Since his arrest, he had been subjected to humiliation unbefitting of a Team Rocket agent and it was only about to get worse as early Christmas morning dawned on Russia.
"In here," he heard a Russian sounding voice, much to his annoyance. "Down on the right."
"It better not be fat boy again," he muttered and instead he was greeted by a man and woman, the man wearing a gray overcoat over a brown business suit and the woman wearing a dark blue overcoat over a blue business suit consisting of a jacket and skirt. "Well, isn't this my lucky day. Fat boy didn't show up."
"No, Fat Boy didn't show up but we did," said the man, taking out his badge and with his partner. "Agents Mulder and Scully, FBI."
"Doesn't matter to me, what do you want?"
"We want to talk," said Scully. "About your actions related to the Pan Am 103 bombing."
Stewart couldn't believe that he was going through the whole song and dance again of being questioned about the bombing. He thought that the answers he gave in his previous interrogation was enough, but it wasn't.
"I thought I told you clowns that Jimmy Evans was one of the leaders of the Pan Am plot," he protested as Scully and Mulder stepped into the cell, keeping their guns hidden unless they would be needed.
"Yes, but we need associates of yours," said Mulder. "The entire group within the Neuss Cell that had been tasked with attacking a Pan Am flight out of Frankfurt. Give us all of them and we'll leave."
"Screw you," Stewart hissed, causing Mulder to grab Stewart by the crotch and knock him to the floor of his cell, twisting his private areas. "Hey, get off of me!"
"Scully!"
Heeding her partner's call, Scully walked over and used the spike of her left high heel stiletto on Stewart's right hand, causing him to yell in pain.
"Ow! Stop it!" Stewart winced as Mulder towered himself over the downed agent. "Stop!"
"Give us names and we will stop this and let you get on with your Christmas morning," Mulder said. "Who else in the Neuss Cell was assigned to Pan Am 103?"
When Stewart refused to answer, Mulder had Scully press her heel deeper into his hand.
"You are now on level 2," warned Mulder in a quiet voice. "If I have my partner go to level 3, you are going to be shitting yourself. Now, give us all the names in the plot!"
Gulping, Stewart knew that he was left with no other alternatives. He couldn't get himself out of this situation.
"Philip Ross," Stewart gasped, wincing in pain. "Richard Ellard…Sean Ferguson…Justin Decker…"
Mulder then looked up to Scully and then proceeded to place her left high heel stiletto on Stewart's left hand.
"Keep it coming!" Mulder cried to his partner. "Who else?"
"Jordan."
"Jordan who?"
"Steven Jordan…his brother was on the plane. That's all I know, That's all I know, stop! Please!"
But Scully didn't move and it wasn't until blood started coming out of Stewart's hands did Mulder feel that the interrogation had gone on long enough.
"Scully, that's enough!"
Getting to his feet, Mulder and Scully watched as Stewart got to his feet, moaning and groaning in pain, both his hands bleeding from Scully's high heels.
"I'm going to sue…the hell out of you!" cried Stewart. "ALL OF YOU! Especially you two!"
Neither agent were unfazed by Stewart's threats.
"It's too late for that," Mulder said, bending down to look down at Stewart. "So, you might as well save it for the judge. Now, where are they hiding? Are they hiding in Tehran?"
"Likely," Stewart gasped.
But there was still one more question that needed to be asked.
"What about Maria Sakami? Where is Madam Boss?"
The tension continued to build as Stewart felt all the energy leave his body, unable to fight back against his captors.
He was left with no choice, he had to reveal Team Rocket's secrets in order to save his own life.
