Intermission One, Experiments
Disclaimer; This Chapter is meant to show what is going on outside the PAW Patrol and will mainly follow Hunter, as such, this chapter is a lot more mature than most chapters, this chapter involves blood, bad language, and death, you have been advised.
Hunter stood in a brightly lit room, looking at his helmet on its rack. He picked it up and stared into its reflective visor, he couldn't help but smile, 'Today was the day' he told himself and flipped his helmet around and put it on his head.
His armor was still reflective because of how unused it was, but that was bound to change. He had his two Katanas and his Odachi on his left side. The Odachi stood out as it was a lot longer than the Katanas. He had a black belt holding all his gear around his waist, other than the swords, he had a small pack of medical supplies, a grappling hook, and his lightsaber Fritz gave him. His helmet was made to look like a dragon and the bright yellow made him stand out.
He left the room to find Spyro waiting for him with a smile, "Looking good, yellow really is your color," he complimented.
Spyro didn't have the same armor as everyone else, he wore a leather tunic with metal armor pieces over his shoulders, chest, legs, and arms. He had no helmet and had two swords on his side, one was the Odachi that Hunter got him a while ago but on his other side, he had a long sword, but he also had a Five-Seven pistol on his belt. His outfit was dyed purple and black. He also had a cloak that would normally go with it but didn't have it on.
Hunter stretched his arms out. The armor was made of metal and fiber to keep mobility and flexibility while keeping the wearer protected. "Yeah, this armor is amazing," Hunter tells him with a smile while also making sure he has peek mobility via stretching.
"Today is your first mission, you excited?" Spyro asked him with a smile.
"Yeah, it is exciting to be back out in the field," Hunter says through his helmet.
Noticing his muffled voice, he took off his helmet and wore a goofy grin. Spyro couldn't help but snicker at his smile, "Yeah, it has been a while, here, I thought this item might fit your style."
Spyro handed Hunter a black box, on the front it was labeled, "R.P.D" and "S.T.A.R.S" under that. Hunter unlatched the metal clips and opened the box. Inside was a small combat knife and a leather holster. Hunter picked up the knife, the knife was sharp on the front and had ridges on the back.
"Special Tactics and Rescue Service, I thought it would be perfect for you," Spyro tells me.
Hunter smiles, takes it, and puts it on the back of his belt, "This should come in handy."
"Now come on, best not to waste time," Spyro tells me and we walk down the hallway, "So, do you know what this mission is about?"
"Nope, all I know is that is my first mission," Hunter tells him with a shrug.
"Well, this one is gonna be an important one, we are investigating Crimson Star, you remember them?" Spyro asked him.
"Yeah, they have been looking and attacking Gabriel, and you speculate that they might be after Marshall too," Hunter said the last part with spite.
"Yeah, so you understand the importance of this mission, we got word from an unknown contact that they have a small camp near here so we are gonna go investigate," Spyro relays the information.
"So what's our plan of action?" Hunter asked him.
"We are gonna try to sneak our way in and gather as much information as possible, we know very little about them so we need to find out who works for them, what their next move is, and find out who they are after," Spyro tells him.
"Sounds like a plan," Hunter says with a smile.
They arrive at the parking lot inside the building to find Kade, Bolt, and Raven loading stuff into a truck. The truck was black and was high power, it had some bars on the side of the second door so more people could hang on. The back of the truck was open and they were loading things into it.
Raven was the first to notice us, all our armor was relatively similar except for the color and the helmet. Raven's armor was Cyan with black fibers for flexibility, she had her helmet in the truck, and the helmet was cyan and little rainbow wings on the side of the helmet, she had a black belt that held her gear, she had her short sword and her collapsible spear, a unique revolver, it was designed to her needs and a pouch for ammo, and lastly was a grappling hook, "We are just finishing up loading things up you brief him on the plan?" Raven asked with a grin.
"I gave him the details, just not the full plan," Spyro tells her.
"Got it, then here's the plan, ther–" Raven tried to tell Hunter but Spyro's phone started to ring
Spyro looked at the contact and noticed it was from Ryder, he accepted the call and saw Gabriel, Margareth, and Ryder on the other side, "Hey PAW Patrol, need something?" Spyro asked with a smile.
"I need a favor from you Spyro, I am sure you heard me and Margareth got engaged," Gabriel tells him.
Spyro and Hunter were well aware of the marriage between the two. They were both excited about the marriage when they first heard about it, "Yeah, I did, good for you two, must be exciting," Spyro told him with a smile.
"You don't know the half of it," Margareth said lovingly.
Hunter couldn't help but smile at Margareths responses. He was always fond of Margaeth, everyone knew he favored Marshall but he liked all of the Blaze pups. Margareth was and still is the protective older sister. Before he left the two, he constantly watched over Marshall, Austin, Mariana, and Margareth.
He loved all the time he spent with them, and he missed it, but he can't change the past, all he can do is focus on the future, a future that is being threatened. He knew that he needed to dismantle Crimson Star before they went too far.
"Anyway, since you know my dad's brother I thought you might know how to find my parents," Gabriel says hopefully.
Spyro sighed, "I am gonna be honest Gabriel, it is not the best time, Hunter is gonna be on his first mission today."
"He must be excited," Margareth says.
Hunter couldn't help but smile when Margareth asked that, just being thought of by her made him happy.
"He is, anyway I don't think this is the best tim–" Raven cut off Spyro, "I got this Spyro, you go find his parents, besides we have been through this a thousand times," Raven tells him and leans off the call.
"If you think you can handle this go right ahead, I am not gonna stop you," Spyro says showing his confidence in her.
"Then it is settled, you go find his parents, I got Hunter," Raven said confidently.
"Okay kid, I will find your parents, what time do you want to see them by?" Spyro asked him.
"Probably around 4 or 5," Gabriel tells him.
"Then I will go track them down for you, tell me if anything changes, and I will keep you guys posted," Spyro tells him with a smile.
"Thanks, Spyro, Gabriel says before hanging up.
Spyro sighed as the call ended, "Well, today is not my day, I am off to find Samuel, and I hope he gives a shit," Spyro said the last part aggressively.
"Have fun," Raven said with a laugh as he left.
Hunter was confused, "What was that about?"
"Spyro hates bad fathers, which comes from him being abandoned by his real father, and Samuel abandoned Gabriel, he may know the reason behind it but that doesn't mean he has to like it," Bolt tells him.
Bolt's armor was very similar to Hunter's, the same color, the only noticeable difference was the helmet, which had some large spikes forming in the back of it. On his belt was a unique-looking sword that had no scabbard, he also had a semi-automatic pistol with a few mags on the side and a pouch for ammo.
"Spyro is still mad at Samuel for abandoning Gabriel, and I don't see that changing anytime soon," Bolt sighed.
"What about Antonio, isn't he is Samuel's brother and Spyro's father?" Hunter asked curiously
"Antonio has his own set of problems but yes, he is Spyro's adopted father and Samuel's brother," Bolt answered him.
"What about you rookie? I don't think you have ever talked about your parents," Kade asked nosily.
His gear was green and blue, his helmet was red on top and green on the bottom and he had a horn on top, on his belt were his collapsing blades and had two Glocks on each side with a few mags on the side too with an ammo pouch on the back, he also had a grappling hook.
That question only brought back sorrow, "My parents and sister died in a car accident when I was 16, I was the only survivor."
No one dared to say anything after that response except Raven, "Life can be like that sometimes, shit happens, best not to dwell on the past, let's focus on making sure those pups are safe."
"Yeah, so what's the plan?" Hunter says with a grin.
"Heres the plan, we are gonna sneak in, we don't have much information besides the location, You and Kade will sneak into the building and look for any and all information you can find, Bolt will be watching over you from the truck, and will help you with the security, I will be the backup and lookout, any questions?" Raven tells them all.
"Yes, I don't think my suit was designed for stealth, I kind of stick out like a sore thumb, and most of my weaponry isn't designed for non–lethal takedowns," Hunter explained.
"I got that covered," a new voice said.
I looked over to find Fritz and Moby walking over, With Caramel on Fritz's back, Fritz was holding two different gloves and a steel suitcase, "I have a few gifts made for you that might help," Fritz said with a smile.
Fritz handed him the gloves, "Use these instead, those grapple gloves won't help you here,"
Hunter takes off his gloves with a click as they slide off, he puts the new ones on and they tighten around his hand, he looks at his right glove, this one had a wire poking out at the bottom while his wrist the top had a slot with a lot of needles on it, "That is a stun glock, mainly used my Bolt, it has two main functions, first, the top can shoot out darts that can knock people out electricity, the bottom is more for close quarters combat as it is a thick wire that shocks whoever touches it," Fritz proudly explains.
I look at my left one, it had some bulk to it and had a weird device on top of it, like a pad, there were four thick rods around the glove, "Now that was made specifically for you, it is a stasis and anti-gravity glove, it took me and Moby a lot of time to figure it out fully but it is amazing!" Fritz exclaims.
Hunter couldn't help but grin ear to ear, "Really?!"
"Yeah, it can, watch this," Fritz said and hit a button on the side as the rods popped out, the rods came out about a foot in length, "Now, try this," he said and hit the pad to anti-gravity button.
The rods glowed a slight shade of blue, "there are few buttons on your wrist, those are how you control it," Fritz said as Hunter clicked the one on his index finger that started the blue ray of light that grabbed Hunter's helmet. He was able to swiftly able to lift and move his helmet.
Hunter tapped his index finger again as the helmet fell back down, "This is amazing, you two must work well together," Hunter complimented.
Fritz shrugged, "Never really had much help when it came to inventing, Moby is a nice change," he said and scratched his ear, "Now that feels good," Moby sighed happily.
Moby was still new to being a land pup, as such, he was unused to most normal things, getting attention from humans, he was still getting used to being pet by us and he was liking it, "I still can't believe you are heading out on your first mission, I wish I could go too," Moby whined.
Hunter giggled a bit, "I have been training for about a year, you have only been training for about six months, your time to shine will come," Hunter said and leaned down to him with a smile. "Just keep training, you will get there," he scratched his ear as Moby smiled.
"Thanks," Moby tells him shyly.
"Anytime kid," he said, patting him on the head and looking at Fritz, "Looks like you have more to say."
"What? A gravity glove not good enough," Fritz playfully teased before putting the case on a table before opening it.
Inside the case were different pieces for a type of gun, Hunter grabbed the grip part of the gun, the grip was red while the metal parts were gunmetal grey, this part had the trigger and, trigger guard but no hammer or receiver. Inside the box were different receivers, three in all. They were all a revolver model but they were all different. The first one was a medium-sized barrel, it looked like it took 9mm ammo. The Second one had a slightly bigger barrel but the cylinder wasn't like the others, it had a small glass window on both sides showing the inside of it. The third one had the smallest barrel. Hunter grabbed the one that looked like it took 9mm and put it on the grip, it had a nice feel to it as he slid out the cylinder and spun it.
"This is a specialized revolver to take different types of receivers, these three are only the start, each receivers have two different firing modes, the one you put in is for 9mm and can fire like normal but if you hold down the trigger you can use a three round burst," Fritz explained.
"But the other two are where it gets good, the second one is a stun blaster, which shoots blue balls of energy to knock out foes, perfect for this mission, and its secondary fire, charges it for more effective shots, it uses a kind of liquid for ammunition" Fritz explained.
"And lastly, is a blaster receiver, it uses a type of gas for ammunition, its main fire mode is semi-automatic and fired a red blaster bolt, its secondary fire mode is an explosive shot," Frit finished his rant.
"Wow, just amazing," Hunter said with a big grin.
"Here, you gonna need these," Fritz said, handing me an ammo pouch and a strap for his revolver and receivers. Hunter happily accepts with a smile and puts it all on his belt.
"And you are gonna need your little friend here, I modded her so she could open automatic doors and security systems, she is connected to your helmet so you should be able to figure it out pretty quickly," Fritz said as Caromel jumped on Hunter and got settled on his back.
"You all done with your gear or do you need to look at it more?" Raven teased.
"Yeah, this should be good," Hunter tells her with a grin.
"Then are you ready for your first mission?" she asked him with a smile.
"Yeah, I'm all fired up now!" He said confidently as he put on his helmet.
Raven couldn't help but giggle, "You really got to get your own catchphrase Dragneel," she told him with a smile, "Now hop in, we don't have time to waste," she said as we all hopped in the truck.
Inside the truck was a computer in the back, a few other pieces of gear like a specialized sniper rifle, an automatic rifle, and a large gun of some sort, that looked like it was an RPG or something, Hunter and Bolt were in the back, Kade was in the front, and Raven was driving.
Bolt quickly strapped himself in and got to work on the computer, "Make sure to hack into any computers you guys find, we are after information, we are not looking for a fight."
"Understood," Hunter said and buckled himself with Caromel on his shoulder.
"Then let's do this," Raven said and put the truck in drive as they left.
It took about 30 minutes to find the place but just like the contact said. The building was pretty big, about the size of a school for comparison, the front was well guarded, with two towers in the front with people watching. The front door was guarded by two men, also many people were walking around the place. This place wasn't gonna be easy to sneak into. We were parked off to the side, enough to be able to scout and for them not to get suspicious.
"So, how are we getting in there?" Hunter asked Raven.
"The front entrance is a no-go, as expected, but we can make an entrance with your lightsaber, we just need to find the right place," Raven tells him.
Bolt was hard at work on his computer, "Their security is no joke, I am decoding their systems now but this is gonna take a while, but it looks like your best bet is climbing to the top is your best bet," Bolt informs us while decoding everything.
"Well let's get going, this information isn't gonna find itself," Kade said with a grin.
Hunter and Kade both exited the vehicle with confidence. Raven grabbed her rifle before following suit, "I will spot for you two, keep low and only move when told to," Raven warned us and we nodded.
We move closer to the building with caution, Raven taking up a spot on a hill with her rifle, "Code names from here on out guys," we heard her say through our helmets, we also had a comlink on our belts if needed.
We come across a fence with three guards past it, "I can get one, you two get the other two," Raven tells us as we hop the fence.
"I got the one on the left," Kade tells us before cloaking himself. His suit really was amazing, being able to go transparent and disappear was a great ability to have.
Hunter pulled out his new gun, put on the stun blaster receiver on, and aimed at the the middle guy.
"On three, one, two, three," she said as she and Hunter fired their shots. Raven sniper fired a dart of some kind that quickie immobilized the guy, Hunter charged his blaster shoot as he fired a blue ball of energy thaat rendered the guy unconscious. Kade quickly grabbed the last guy and promptly knocked him by hitting him in the neck. "We need to get rid of these bodies," Kade tells me and I nod, "How about that dumpster," I pointed out.
"Yeah, that's good," Kade said and we piled them into it and closed it.
"You guys have about an hour before they wake up, get in and out," Raven tells us.
"Got it Rainbow, and up we go," Kade says before he uses his gloves to start climbing the wall.
The grapple glove didn't just have a grabbling hook but also magnetic gloves used for climbing metal walls, which just happened to be what it was made out of.
"I will find a grapple point for you to grab once I am at the top, Ezra," Kade told him as he climbed the wall with ease.
He looked around before finding something Hunter could attach to, he saw one of the many fans and thought that could work, "Launch it up, and I'll attach it, Ezra," he said through his com.
Hunter pulled out his grappling hook and launched it up and Kade caught it and gave Hunter a thumbs up. Hunter started to ascend to the top with ease. Hunter climbed the last bit and reached the roof, "Now where to go?" I asked Kade.
"Well let's see, turn your heat sensor on to see if anyone is around," Kade told him and hit a button on the side of his helmet.
Hunter followed suit and hit the button to see people's body heat, they both looked for the perfect spot to break into before Hunter pulled out his lightsaber and started to saw his way through the floor. It didn't take long to cut fully through. Hunter broke through and jumped down.
Kade followed his lead, the room they were in must have been a closet of some kind since it held a bunch of random things. We both kept our heat sensors on to keep tabs on who was nearby.
"This is where we split up, keep on your toes," Kade tells me before cloaking and leaving the room.
Now, I have to keep myself hidden, with all these people it will be hard to keep a low profile, "Try using Caromel, Ezra, she should be able to scan the area for the best route," Raven called to him.
"Think you can do that buddy," Hunter asked his robotic friend on his back as she got up and scanned the area.
He scans all around the small room before pulling up a holographic map of the place. It showed how many people were around the building, it showed that there were around 150 men in the building right now, but it also showed places of interest in the building, most importantly he saw a room that said research,
'That place must have information but what kind of research would they have?' Hunter thought before finding the best route. 'It looked like this is the best route, a small stairwell that few people use to get to the bottom.
Hunter scanned the area for heat signatures and slowly approached the stairwell.
Meanwhile, Bolt was hard at work at the decoding, "This place security is no joke," Bolt said to no particular. "It looks like they are constantly changing the codes, it is almost like they know I am here," Bolt told to himself.
"How sure are you?" Raven asked him sliding into the truck.
"Not sure yet but I can say it is a big possibility, we don't know who this contact is so can't say this isn't suspicious," Bolt explained.
"Yeah, I can't say I don't have my own suspicion but this guy somehow knew what Spyro's number was," Raven tells him.
"Keep watch on those two, we need to make sure everything goes smoothly," Raven orders him.
"Roger that," Bolt tells her as he starts to monitor them both.
Meanwhile, Kade was running around cloaked, he was looking for any kind of information. He was able to effortlessly run past enemy without them even batting an eye. He rounded a corner and saw something that piqued his interest.
He looked at the room labeled Records, he looked at the door and saw it was locked by a keycard, Kade looked around before using his coms, "Any way you can help with this Jolteon?"
"Just steal a card, This security system is tough," Bolt responds to him.
Kade sighs, "Got it," Kade said before looking for his next target.
There were a lot of people walking, but most of them were soldiers, not likely to hold the key card he needed. Then he spotted a man who could hold a card he needed, the man wore a white lab coat, strange for a place meant for soldiers.
He quickly sneaked behind him and swiped his keycard. 'Now to get inside,' Kade thought to himself as he unlocked the door.
Inside was a computer and a few servers to keep all the information in. Kade pulled out a thumb drive into the computer, "I would assume you can at least hack that?" Kade asked with a smile.
"Gladly," Bolt replied happily.
Kade started to smile before he heard an alarm go off as the door to the room locked. "Bolt, what's going on?" Kade asked frantically.
The only response was static, "Damnit!" Kade yelled before looking for a way out.
Meanwhile, Hunter made his way down the stairwell, he came to the door and opened the door. He looked at all the heat signatures before carefully making his way to the research room, he had a few close calls but made it to the room without being seen.
He looked at the door and found it locked via a keycard lock, "Anything you can do about that buddy?" Hunter asked his robot friend on his back.
Caramel nodded and shot out an electric charge out of the side of his head and into the keycard reader. It quickly made the door open. Hunter walked in to find three men inside. "Who are you?!" one yelled before Hunter drew his gun.
He shot the first without hesitation and the man fell to the ground, the other two tried to draw there side arms but Hunter shot them with his stun blaster and knocked them out. He fired a few more shots at them for good measure.
He finally had a second to look at the room. Inside was an array of different computers, tools, and a few tanks, like the ones at the base. To Hunter, this place looked like a research lab for Dragon?
Inside the tank was anthro reptile inside the tanks, two of them. He ran over to the computer and looked at what was on, thankfully the computer was unlocked by the other men. Hunter saw something that piqued his interest.
"From N.P. Here is a sample of our newest bioweapon, made with some of Spyo's DNA, this creature is labeled Dragon version 1, this version is commendable and will only respond to members with a specific device made to command them." Hunter saw it on the computer.
But he saw something else, "From N.P. We need you to work on a better way to command these weapons, they have no mind and only respond to those devices, they will attack almost anything, we need a better version made by November and able to be produced by March."
Hunter remembered the date, August, that date is only in three months, he looked at the time this was sent, only a month ago. He quickly put in a thumb drive to get all this down. Then Hunter saw another email labeled "November plan" he clicked and tried to read it but the alarm went off and the computer shut down, "Damit!" Hunter yelled angrily.
He wasn't able to have a long look at it but he could have sworn he saw Marshall and Gabriel in there, "So I guess it is true, they are after Marshall," Hunter told himself.
Hunter had a weird feeling and looked at the ceiling, there was a camera, watching him, 'that wasn't like that when I came in' Hunter thought to himself.
He knew someone was watching him now, which meant he needed to get out before there before reinforcements arrived. He looked at his options, two doors, one led to an open hallway right into the soldiers, or the one closer to the stairwell.
He didn't have time to decide as the glass to the tanks burst opened as the dragon weapons came free, Hunter looked at the camera and noticed it was looking at the Dragons, 'Looks like he is the one that caused the dragons to break free.'
Hunter drew his two katana as the dragons drew closer, 'These things only know violence, there is no reasoning with them, luckily for me, I know their weak points,' Hunter thought to himself.
The two dragon creatures drew closer as Hunter held up his swords. He held one sword before him and the other horizontally to the first. The first one lunged at him before Hunter dogged him within seconds of the attack and countered with a slash to the neck.
Breaking through the scales of a dragon is hard, not impossible but difficult but there are a few spots on a dragon where the scales are weaker. The neck was one of those weak points, Spyro taunted him many things, but a dragon's weak points were high on his list.
Hunter never understood why he taught him all this, was it because he knew we would have to face a dragon like him, or was it because they needed a way to stop him? Nevertheless, the blow landed without question and the dragon started to leak crimson red from his neck.
It would take way too long for him to bleed out for that blow to end him but it would probably slow him down. But the other one wasn't as slow as he lept towards Hunter. Noticing it, Hunter blocks with his second sword.
The strong grip of the dragon was strong as it quickly shattered the sword in its jaw. Instead of running away, he dropped the sword and drew the knife that Spyro had given him earlier, lunged it deep into his neck.
It struggled under the pressure of the knife as Hunter forcefully slit his throat. It screamed from the pain as Hunter jumped back. It would only take a few minutes before it choked on its own blood.
The other creature, with still dripping blood, grabbed Hunter and threw him to the ground. Hunter groaned as he tried to get up before the dragons latched its maw onto his neck. The teeth of the creature were sharp, he could feel the creature's teeth rip through the suit as his blood started to drain.
"WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON!" Raven yelled from the truck.
She and Bolt had watched as the coms disconnected and all they could find was static. "I don't know," Bolt tells her, "But if I had to guess, they found one of them."
"What about the coms, this has never happened before," Raven tells him and grabs her rifle.
"I guess we are doing this the messy way," Bolt said and grabbed his weapon.
"You bet we are, I am not losing anyone today," Raven said while loading her rifle, slinging it on her back, and pulling out her spear.
"Then let's not keep them waiting," Bolt says while doing the same with his rifle and pulling out his sword.
Kade busted through the locked door with a bang as the door fell into two halves. He was met with a few soldiers raising their rifles to him, "And here I thought this would be harder," he said before taking out his two collapsible swords and extending them.
They started to fire but Kade was prepared for that as he swiftly moved his body as he grew closer and sliced the first guy. Kade's movement flowed like water as he struck down everyone in his path. It took little effort to strike them down as he moved on, leaving them groaning.
With this lockdown, he needed to get out as fast as possible but he couldn't leave without Hunter. He needed to figure out where he was, he cloaked before moving as he didn't need to attract any more unneeded attention.
"Rainbow, Jolteon, come in," Kade tried to contact the others with little luck as the only response was static.
Kade pulled out his phone and went on his tracker app, their suit has many functions but having a tracker in the suit, was something Spyro was insistent on, and every member had an app to track the trackers inside them. Very similar to how the pup tags on the PAW Patrol had trackers.
He saw where Hunter was last seen and bolted to that location. He found the door locked down with three men trying to unlock the door. Kade quickly stabbed the first neck through the neck before pulling it out and slicking the other two throats.
He let them fall as they all struggled to breathe, it was pointless as the blood started to leak relentlessly. Kade grabbed one of the cards on the man before swiping it on the card reader. The door opens to find a dragon-like creature on top of Hunter's chopping down on his neck.
Kade was quick to react and shoved both his swords into it's neck and slit it. The creature responded by opening its jaw and Kade swung him into an adjacent wall. Kade could see the blood leaking through his suit, "You, Okay?" Kade asked with a hand out to him.
"That is gonna hurt in the morning," Hunter joked as he took his hand and groaned, "But we have bigger problems, those things are made from Spyro's DNA and I doubt he gave it to them."
"You're right, but now is not the time or place to figure things out, we need to get out now," Kade tells him, "Can you walk?"
"I have been told I am very stubborn but this should help, Stim Caromel," Hunter says and a small vile is launched from the droid. Hunter grabs it and injects it into his arm, "Now that will do."
They both heard a barrage of gunshots, "Looks like the others are starting our extraction, let's not keep them waiting," Kade grinned.
"Yeah, let's go," Hunter said as Kade led him towards the shots.
Most of the halls were enemies but they didn't hesitate to take down the few stranglers. It took them a few minutes to find the other but they ran into them. There were at least a dozen fallen soldiers, either dead or knocked out.
Bolt held out his sword as sparks of electricity shot out, shocking his opponents. Raven quickly multitasked with her two-sided spear taking on multiple enemies at a time.
Kade stabbed a few stragglers stopping their path before meeting up with them, "What took you guys, you had us worried," Raven demanded.
"Long story, best to get out of here first," Hunter tells her.
"Yeah, good idea," Raven said not pressing as she saw him bleeding.
"Over here!" they all heard a soldier yell as more came into battle.
"I am getting tired of fighting these idiots," Raven complained as she pulled out her rifle and aimed it at them.
Hunter saw something of interest in one of the fallen men, he hit the trigger on his glove and the prongs protruded out as he grabbed a belt of grenades with his gravity glove, "How about this, Rainbow, " Hunter said using his glove to made it levitate towards the ceiling.
"Good idea," Raven said and shot one of them and went off, making the ceiling collapse.
"Now, let's get out of here," Raven said, leading them toward the exit.
The front exit was now unguarded as Raven and Bolt took them out so leaving wasn't that much of a hassle. They all jumped into the truck as Raven started it.
"Let's get out of here," Raven said and they were out.
Hunter took off his helmet and removed the left half of his shoulder from the suit. Hunter pulled out his med kit.
"Hold on kid, let me help you," Kade interjected and grabbed the pack.
"What in the hell caused that?" Bolt asked him.
There was a huge jaw mark, two big holes, and a few other small ones in his shoulder and neck Kade made sure he wasn't bleeding internally before cleaning his wound and patching it up.
"Not fully sure if I am honest, but that thing is a bioweapon, one made with Spyro's DNA, I don't know what they were using this place for, maybe for security or a little bit of testing but this place wasn't a lab, they are trying to mass produce these things," Hunter relays all his information he knew with the gasps of the others.
"And now, I know they are after both Gabriel and Marshall, I saw their names in a plan called the November plan, if I had to guess, that is when they will go full out on the attack," Hunter tells them with obvious anger.
"Well, shit, this is not the news I wanted to hear," Raven sighed.
"This is gonna be one hell of a time," Raven said before pulling out her phone and calling Spyro, "You are not gonna like this news…"
Somewhere unknown. A girl was walking through a hallway full of bodies. She walked up to a locked door before pulling out a weird device and pressing it against the keycard reader. The door opened with a click.
She walked into the room to find two soldiers pointing their guns at her, "D-don't come any closer," he struggled to say before the woman round-house kicked the man in the jaw pulled out two daggers, and launched one into the neck of the other.
The second fell to the ground while holding his throat as it bled. She walked over to the first and jabbed it into the man's heart, "You should never get in the way of a mercenary," she told him with a passive aggressive look and a smile.
She moved on to the computer she saw, she opened it with ease with the device she used earlier. She found an email of interest and copied it onto a hard drive. She saw a camera move from the corner of her eye and threw her dagger into it, shutting it down.
"No witnesses," she said as she left with a smile.
