Chapter 2 is out!! I promise the next chapter is going to be more interesting! Bear with me!

Ponyboy walked out and closed the door behind him. I looked around my room, it was a mess. I was not a clean person and I hated to clean my room. I rummaged around my closet until I found an old black hoodie. I had worn sweat pants and an over sized t-shirt to bed. I pulled the hoodie over my head poking my head out the top.

I went to the mirror on my desk and looked at myself. I have long blonde hair, just like my brother Soda. My skin was tan with light freckles over my nose and cheeks. My eyes were blue but not as icy as Darry's eyes. I'm pretty short but I'm only 14 so I'm still growing.

I ran a brush through my hair until it was perfectly straight. I pulled my hoodie up over my head because I was still tired and it provided a sense of comfort. I pushed my hair to the front of my shoulders and looked at myself. I didn't bother to do anything else. I hated makeup, after mom and dad died I didn't have the time or money to worry about something to silly as makeup.

I walked out into the hallway and I could already hear Two-Bits loud voice echoing through the house. Man Ponyboy was right, I thought to myself. They are loud. I peeked inside the kitchen and nobody was there. I fixed myself a plate of chocolate cake and headed for the living room.

I walked around the corner where I saw the entire gang playing cards. Darry looked up when I walked in but to my surprise nobody else noticed I was there. As I walked closer a board under my feet creaked and Two-Bit looked up from his cards. "There she is!" Two-Bit said excitedly.

Everyone looked happy to see me. "Come join our game" Soda said signaling me to come over. I as I walked over to the circle of chairs and couches surrounding our small coffee table. Dally was sprawled out on the sofa so I went up to where his legs where and waved my hand for him to move his feet. He groaned, but he still moved them.

"Well sleeping beauty finally arose from her slumber" Steve snickerd. I turned around to glare at him but he was grinning. I knew he was only messing with me. "Your ass must be really jealous of your mouth with all the shit that comes out of it" I shot back.

The entire gang erupted into laughter at that. I tried not to laugh and act nonchalant as I sat down. "Your lucky your holding that plate of cake or else I would whip you" Steve said mostly joking. I decided to take up on his offer. I set down my cake on the table and pretend like I was going back into the kitchen.

In one swift move I turned and put Steve in a head lock. I knew that if Steve managed to stand up he would have me down in a second, so I applied pressure forcing him down into the chair. Somehow Steve was acutely struggling. He clawed at my arms but I didn't dare let go. "Holler Uncle!!" I said. "No way!" Steve said annoyed. I could hear the gang laughing over Steve's grumbling. He managed to stand up but he is so much taller than me that his back was practically bending in half.

I jumped on his back my arm still around his neck. He stumbled backwards at the sudden change in weight. I prayed that he wouldn't fall on top of me. Thankfully he didnt. After another minute or so of Steve still struggling I was getting nervous that Steve actually couldn't breathe so I loosened my grip on his neck. That was all Steve needed to get me off his back and onto the ground.

I thumped on the hardwood floor and Steve sat ontop of me. I could tell he was careful not to put too much weight on my chest and I was thankful for it. Before he would tighten up on me I managed to wiggle out and sweep is arms out from under him. He fell face first into the wood floor and I got him in his back.

I sat on top of him for a second but I wanted to stop while I was ahead. I hopped off Steve and hoped he take my cue that I was done, but when he got up and started to reach for me again I jumped on him. I had my arms and legs wrapped around his back. And I had my head against his chest and I could hear his heartbeat. I hung on him like a little monkey.

I waited for him to pull me off but instead he stood up and turned to face the gang. They laughed at the sight of Steve, a little girl clinging onto him. "Get off me" he sounded annoyed but when I looked up at him I could see him trying to hide his smile. "No" I said just like a child. The gang laughed at that. Steve walked to the edge of the couch where I had been sitting previously.

He threw me back onto the couch. I looked up at him and pretend to pout. I pursed my lips at him and gave him a sad look. Everyone laughed. Steve just rolled his eyes and gave me a quick smile before he went back to his spot next to Soda. "Go Izzy!!!" Johnny yelled. "Yea good one Izz" Soda chimed in still laughing at his best fiend. Steve looked like he was going to punch Soda but he must not of wanted to start another wrestling match because he only gave Soda a look.

Everyone turned their attention back to the cards. I sat up straight and grabbed my plate of cake. I curled up on the couch and took my first bite. I could feel someone watching me and after a quick assessment of the room I saw Dally sitting right next to me. He was grinning at me but he had a strange look on his face. "What?" I said with my mouth still full of cake. "You sure know how to work a room don't you Princess?" Dally said. Dally was the only person who called me Princess. It was my middle name but he was the only person who called me that.

I only grinned and shrugged my shoulders. "It's one of my many talents" I retorted with a smile. I looked away from Dally and realized everyone was watching me again. "You better keep an eye on this one" Steve chuckled, "She's trouble" I looked at my brothers, they all had a prideful expression on their faces and Darry and Soda shared a knowing look. "Oh we know" Darry said with a wide grin.

I squirmed deeper into the couch and pretend to be oblivious of the conversation going on around me. After a few games of poker I got up to bring my empty plate back into the kitchen. I went to place my plate in the sink just to see it full of dirty dishes. I tried to help out around the house as much as possible because all my brothers worked so hard already to provide money and food for me so it was the least I could do.

I turned on the faucet and began to scrub the smeared chocolate chips off the white plate. "Darry told me you had a dream last night" a voice said from behind me. I didn't need to turn around to know it was Soda. "Yeah" I said like it was no big deal.

Soda obviously didn't think so. "Was it a bad dream?" Soda questioned, his voice was full of concern. I could practically see the look on his face even though I wasn't looking at him. "No" i said quickly still focusing on the plate I was washing.

"Was it good?" Sodas voice was soft. I sighed and put down the plate I was scrubbing. I didn't want to talk about my dream but I knew Soda wouldn't leave me alone until I told him. I went over to the stool next to the one he was sitting on and pulled it out.

I kept my head down and pretend to pick a my nail. "No" I said kind of embarrassed "It wasn't a good dream" Soda simply put his hands on my cheeks and forced me to look at him. I looked into his eyes while he studied my face.

He smiled, "You don't have to be embarrassed" Soda said softly. "I know" I said genuinely. I could tell Soda anything and he always understood. I did tell Sosa just about everything.

I looked into his eyes for the first time and saw how much he cared about me. "Izzy" Darry yelled from the living room, both me and Sodas heads whipped around to face the entrance to the kitchen. "Curlys on the phone"
