I do not own Naruto or One Piece. Seriously I cannot tell you how much I want it. At least Gin would have had more screen time or God forbid join the Straw Hats so he could keep being awesome.

"Talk" Talking

'Think' Thinking

Now you will not believe this, hell I don't believe it myself. But I was adopted by the Royal Family. Yes, yes, you read that right. But just in case you don't believe it, are illiterate, or just plain stupid I will spell it out with big bold letters. I WAS ADOPTED BY THE ROYAL FAMILY.

Words cannot describe how happy I was. For such a gutter brat that went from a pitfigther/drug mule, to an errand boy to adopted son of King Neptune and Queen Otohime. Now before you think "Oh, he's in line for the throne." well I'll tell you something buddy, I was not. Prince Fukaboshi, Ryuboshi, and Manboshi were respectively the first ones in line for the throne, and if they somehow weren't fit or died before it happened than Princess Shirahoshi would be the Queen. But if, and I strongly say IF something happened to her then maybe I would have taken up the throne.

But being royalty was the last thing on my mind, and even further than being King. Truth be told I always wanted to be a fisherman like my mom and dad before me, and maybe a fighter, nothing major but just enough to defend myself and a family that I might have in the future. But I guess that doesn't matter now does it?

Now I will only admit this on paper, but when I learned I was being adopted, I cried like a baby, and the portrait that was painted that day showed it no matter how I tried to cover it up. Seriously, dammit Montague why did you have to be such a master painter? But anyways, those were the happiest months of my life. I had a family that loved me, that's all I ever wanted.

But then tragedy struck yet again. Queen Otohime was assassinated by a human. The human was killed by Hody Jones. The rest of the day...I just don't remember it, but I remember what came after it. King Neptune locked himself in the Hard-Shell Tower to calm his rage, Shirahoshi was targeted by a madman named Vander Decken IX, first it was love letters at first, but for your sake it escalated quickly and he tried killing her because "If he couldn't have her, no one would" those were his words in a letter, not mine, and then the asshole started throwing axes that somehow always found her no matter where she hid. She had to be kept in the Hard-Shell Tower, and still is to this very day. Then the funeral...I remember it quite well. Fukaboshi gave a grand speech that he would carry on Queen Otohime's will, to bring our species to live in harmony with the humans.

I personally did not give a shit! Peace with humanity was the last thing on my mind. I promised Otohime before she died that I would protect Shirahoshi and that was what I was going to do come hell or high water. When the funeral ended I met with Jinbe and asked him to take me on as an apprentice.

He said yes. I began training the very next day in the art of Fishman Karate.

Both Naruto and Namur looked at each other for several long seconds after bowing towards each other. Both fighters looked at each other, trying to exploit any openings. There were none, or if there were any they were good at hiding it. Their knuckles popped as they clenched their fists, sand shifted below their feet, their eyes never blinking.

Then without warning they both took off like cannon balls firing from the cannons themselves. Naruto raised his right fist, Namur raised his left. The both of them threw their punches. Both collided, and a shock wave of pressure erupted around them, sending a heavy gust of sand around them like a tornado.

Naruto punched out with his left fist, only to have Namur intercept it with a flat handed block. The blonde struck with his left knee, only for his opponent to block with his right knee. Each strike made great wafts of sand fly into the air, obscuring them from the onlookers from the ships who were by now a little irritated from their lack of sight.

The two continued their exchange, fists flying, eyes blazing. Fists slapped together, knees banged harshly. The two fishmen glared at each other throughout the exchange until finally the two of them managed to strike each other in the chest, sending them skidding twenty feet away from each other.

"Not bad, shit, you are a hard hitter." Naruto complimented Namur, shaking his right hand gingerly.

"I will have to agree, no wonder Arlong and his pirates fell to you." Namur replied, shaking his own hand.

"About that, how the hell do you know any of that?" Naruto demanded, still mildly surprised considering he never talked about it. Information regarding what he did could not have spread that fast could it?

"Word travels fast." Namur replied with a light shrug of his massive shoulders. "Again, I personally applaud you for killing him, he did nothing but make our kind look bad."

"Do you even know what he did?" The blonde asked.

"Enslaved an island, killed several of its inhabitants that couldn't pay and made the Marines look like a bunch of asses." Namur lightly chuckled at the last part. "I also heard about Nezumi and Stark as well. You've been busy."

"They pissed me off and got in my way. Now are we going to fight or talk like old women?" Naruto growled out.

"We fight of course!" Spreading his arms to his side, Namur brought fourth water from the sea, surrounding his arms with sharp spiraling blades. "Water Saw Spirals!"(1)

"Fucking right." Water soon surged around Naruto as well, engulfing his hands to create two Megladon-sized heads. "Devouring Twin Shark Fist!"

The two fishmen sprang at each other, throwing both their fists and colliding. Their attacks struggled for dominance, the teeth of Naruto's Megalodon heads chomping away, and Namur's water saws sawing away. The two techniques hit their breaking point, causing sharp shards of water to fly in every direction, soaking the entire beach front.

"Water Shot!" Forming throws a single drop of water in the palms of his hands, Naruto fired them at his opponent.

"Water Slicer!" Flicking his wrists, Namur created two thin blades from the sharp water spiraling around his arms and flung them towards the water bullets. The sharp blades split them in half an they flung harmlessly into the tropical fortress, downing several trees while the water blades left scars in the sand.

Clenching his bandaged right fist Naruto charged forward, throwing back his arm. "Thousand Tile Shatter Fist!"

"Thousand Tile Punch!" Namur shouted, throwing back his left fist.

The two collided, and the kinetic force generated behind their punches erupted outwards tearing the a great hole in the sandy beach and uprooting the palm trees. Naruto tried putting more power into his attack, but Namur put just as much into his own attack.

A rumbling noise caused the both of them to break off their respective attacks and run towards the forest. The area they were on broke away from the rest of the deserted island and literally capsized and disappearing into the sea.

Naruto lightly rubbed his right hand. God that actually hurt, Namur was certainly not pulling his punches, especially when he thought he far surpassed the Thousand Tile Punch since he put more 'oomph' into his technique. That just meant he needed to improve even further. Good.

"Ahhh! My blood is pumping!" Naruto exclaimed giving Namur his infamous shark-like grin.

"Be careful not to spill it." Namur chided him, showing the water blades swirling around his arms. "These babies can cut through anything."

"Odd, I can say the same thing about this particular technique. Piercing Water Spear!" Using his powerful legs Naruto jumped upwards. Opening his mouth he let loose a stream of water, surrounding his entire body with it. He then began rotating his body like a drill, creating a sharp spiraling whirlpool of water around himself, and then descending down upon Namur.

Namur opened his own sharp mouth, expelling a great amount of water to surround himself in a coat of sharp, fast moving water blades. He met the attack head on, and the sound of metal screeching echoed throughout the island. To the surprise of both Naruto and the people on his ship, he was repelled back, sent flying.

The surprise soon turned to anger as the blonde fishman began spinning forwards, building up extreme speed and momentum. He tucked his legs in, spinning faster until he was barely a foot above Namur. He extended both his legs out, his sandaled heels slamming into his opponent's wicked shield. "Double Spiral Axe Kick!"

Namur let out a surprised shout when Naruto's feet shattered through his technique. He raised his arms just in time for his forearms to take the brunt of the attack. He let out a pained cry, his bones, by Neptune's orange beard it felt like they were shattering! Opening his mouth he expelled a torrent of water that struck Naruto right in the chest, causing him to fly away, and go crashing through the forest.

"Ow!" The Eighth Division Commander rubbed his arms feeling his skin. Wait skin? He moved his forearms in front of his eyes and saw that the impact areas were as purple as plums, and the sleeves of his shirt were torn from Naruto's attack.

That was not good.

"Fucking ow! Dammit Namur!" Naruto bellowed. He came thrashing out of the palm forest, the front of his vest was soaked, but the visible area under it was quite bruised. "That stung!"

"Your kick was no better Naruto!" Cracking his knuckles, Namur held back a wince and readied himself. "I'm not going to fall for that again."

"Well you sure as hell aren't going to see this coming! Land Shark!" Giving his opponent his signature grin, Naruto jumped as high as he could, and dived into the ground.

"Oh not this again." Namur said to himself. He began to look around, trying to sense where his opponent was. He found nothing, he didn't sense anything. Impossible! "How in the world is he hiding from me?"

As a shark fishman Namur had a superior sense of sight, smell, hearing, electroreception, and the lateral line. But he couldn't hear, see or smell anything. He didn't feel any vibrations underground, or anything from the electromagnetic field surrounding the area. Naruto just...disappeared.

( The Nautilus )

"Holy crap, are you guys seeing this?" Kotetsu asked the others on the ship, he could barely keep the telescope in his hands steady from the waves crashing against the Nautilus.

"I see it, but I scarcely believe it." Igaram replied, trembling from the spectacle before him. Already a quarter of the island had disappeared, collapsing into the ocean. A good chunk of the palm forest was cut down, he was even pelted by stray grains of sand from that very island by the shock waves.

"I believe it." Carmen replied, the raw dinosaur steak still pressed against the left side of her face. She then turned to Bashura, her obscured eyebrow raised. "Is this what you remember?"

"Not at all. This is something different." Bashura replied, he felt goosebumps running along his muscled, tattooed arms. His fingers gripped the wooden rails, harshly digging into it.

"You're terrified, aren't you?" She asked.

"Apprehensive." He answered. "This is unnatural. Never have I felt anything like this in my life."

"I think Kotetsu is scarier." Igaram piped up.

"Gee thanks a lot Igaram." The swordsman laminated.

"Sharp-teeth is planning something." Miss Goldenweek suddenly announced, literally popping next to Kotetsu, causing him to comically reel back in surprise.

"Where the heak did you come from!?" Kotetsu demanded.

"Crows nest." She simply answered.

Bashura noticed his crew mate questionably staring at him, he could only shrug in reply. He didn't sense her up there, he was too focused on the fight.

"How do you know he's planning something?" Igaram demanded.

"Don't you feel the water rising?"

( Vista's Ship at the same time )

"Unreal." Shizune whispered between her fight fingers that were covering her mouth.

"Haha. I know right. Those two are something else." Vista's large mass loomed over her, strong arms crossed across his barrel chest, and his loud laughter booming like thunder.

"Are all fishmen that strong?" She asked.

"They are physically ten times as strong as normal humans from birth, and can only get stronger if they train themselves in Fishman Karate or Fishman Jujutsu." He would know from experience, serving with Namur from the Grand Line to the New World, facing untold obstacles. They both became much stronger for it.

"But they sunk a quarter of an island!"

"Puffing Tom once lifted a Man o' War battleship with one arm. This is nothing." Vista then noticed a shifting below the water. "And this is something you might want to keep your eyes open for."

A sudden rumbling alerted Shizune and the rest of the crew upon Vista's ship to look at the sea. And even Izo's geisha crew who were at least a mile out felt the sudden shifting of the water.

"Why...what's going on?" Shizune asked in a hitched voice.

"My dear, you are about to see a prodigy at work." Vista replied, feeling only a little bit of sweat upon his brow.

When Naruto used his Land Shark technique, he dove as deep as he could, turned to the left and dug until he hit water. When he was completely enveloped in the cool water, soothing his sore chest and washing off all the dirt from his digging. From there he swam until he he reached the ships, dived until he hit the bottom of the shore, and closed his eyes.

The calm water soon began to move around him, mentally he formed and manipulated it. It twisted and formed, he envisioned one of his most devastating attacks. Snapping his eyes open, he surged upwards, wrapping his body in the water that he had known as a child and burst out of the sea.

He focused his gaze upon Namur, and thrust his arms outwards manipulating the sea around him. "Water Fang Bullet!" Dozens upon dozens of water tendrils formed out of the sea, turning into them into constantly spinning, compactly pressured water spears and sent them towards the island.

"Oh my..." Namur counted at least five dozen spinning water spears coming right at him. Far too many for him to take out by himself. So he covered his body in his Water Saw Spirals technique, and ran for the palm forest.

The compressed water spears crashed into the island, drilling through the ground, smashing through trees and striking at Namur's shield. For five minutes Naruto pummeled the island without mercy. Holes were made in the ground, the entire forest was devastated and Naruto was running low on energy. Before he face planted into the sea, he surged towards the devastated island and not so lightly landed on the ground. He crumpled to his knees, harshly panting from exertion. "Damn I used a little too much energy than I wanted." Naruto panted out tiredly.

Slowly standing up from his kneeling position, the blonde looked at the devastation. He really hoped he didn't accidentally kill Namur, that was the last thing he wanted to do. He wanted to win, sure, but he did not want to kill the man to do it. Whitebeard would have been so pissed at him. But as he looked through the wreckage he didn't find Namur, not his body, nothing.

"Oh shit." He realized that Namur pulled the same thing he did. He more than likely ran to the other side of the island and dived into the sea. That left Naruto in quite the predicament, no cover if Namur did something like him no more than a few minutes ago.

Naruto then felt a rumble under his feet, the entire island began to shift and jostle like the island was experiencing a earthquake.

"This is not good." Naruto said to himself.

( Vista's Ship )

"This is not good." Vista said out loud. He turned around and began barking out orders. "Everyone raise the sails! Wade contact Izo's men, contact Namur's as well and somehow get word to Naruto's people we got to get out of here!"

"Vista? What's going on!?" Shizune demanded.

"Namur's pulling out his trump card. Torrential Torrent, a devastating technique that's capable to sinking the greatest of ships, and is even capable of sinking islands." He heard the men raise the sails, and the ship caught wind. The swordsman ushered the helmsman to make his way over towards Naruto's ship.

"Kotstsu! Can you hear me!?" Vista yelled over to the ship as they neared it.

"Yea. What the heak is going on?" His fellow swordsman called back.

"Something bad, I want you to follow us!"

"For real? Vista what can be so bad that we have to leave?"

"Do you want to be driven to the depths of the ocean!?"

The older swordsman did not need to hear an answer. He shouted at the others to get their asses moving, and Bashura, who acted more cat than human at times went haywire and scrambled up the mast of the ship.

It would be thanks to Vista, all four ships reached safety. The island however was not so fortunate.

In the ocean Namur was quite livid. Blood leaked from the scratches on his cheeks, his Criminal brand shirt was torn off leaving his entire right side bare, his grayish skin was covered in angry red welts, odd pieces of wood was sticking out of him, cuts littered his body from the close calls from Naruto's technique.

The kid wasn't playing around, that attack was meant to devastate the island, to potentially kill him even. He admired Naruto for it, that's what most of their techniques were for, to incapacitate or kill their enemies. Now he was going to show him the same respect.

After escaping his opponent's barrage Namur dived right into the sea and waited for the attack to die down. And when he was sure everything ended and Naruto was on ground, he began circling the entire island. He picked up speed with each lap, the current helping him go faster, and faster, and even more faster.

From his point of view, the island began shaking, coming loose of its foundations, and soon enough it began spinning. That was the effect of his Torrential Torrent technique, to destroy the foundations of a island and sink it into the sea, or sink an entire ship. None who got caught up in it survived, and may Poseidon help Naruto.

On the island itself Naruto was becoming extremely dizzy. He had to hold onto the trunk of a fallen tree, screaming for his life. There was a sudden lurch to his left and the entire island became all vertical and he had to actually cling onto the trunk to prevent himself from falling into the sea.

"God dammit! A fucking whirlpool?!" Naruto shouted to himself. Looking down there was nothing but blackness and blue water with angry frothing white bubbles. "Dammit Namur I am in awe and very pissed off!" The debris from his earlier attack slid off the island, trees, sand and all.

The island soon reached the middle of the whirlpool and Naruto couldn't hold on any longer. He lost his grip just as the entire island folded in half and fell into the raging waters. Naruto got a sudden case of whiplash as he was swept to the right side, and was barraged by the trunks of the broken trees.

It wasn't just the debris in the waters that was knocking him senseless, but it was the speed that screwed with him. He was used to high water pressures, he was born and lived in them after all, but this was something that he never experienced before. His head was going light, he couldn't breathe. His gills and lungs were confused whether to take in the water or the oxygen.

Naruto then felt an impact in his side, and was sent spinning in the water, striking against the trunk of a tree, nearly getting impaled by the broken wood. He then felt an impact to the right side of his jaw, and felt teeth go flying into the whirlpool. Then he felt another strike to his face thirty seconds later, that time he identified it being a fist.

Namur was punching him while he was getting thrashed in the water. "That brilliant son of a bitch! Ow!" What little air was left in his lungs was forced out when Namur punched him with in his back. He tried to manipulate the water around him, but nothing came of it, his vision was beginning to go blurry, black was at the edges of his eyes.

'No! Dammit I cannot lose.' Naruto mentally raged to himself, but it was a losing effort. His body went limp, him mind becoming fuzzy. He closed his eyes, trying to focus himself, for something, anything...

Naruto's eyes snapped open, the iris red as freshly split blood. "That's more like it!" He exclaimed, feeling the rush of adrenaline pumping through his body. Throwing his arms out, and spreading his fingers like claws Naruto gripped the water around him and began swimming to the left.

Diving towards the bottom, the blonde became free of any and all debris. The sensible part of him figured that since Namur was moving to the right then he had to move to the left, if he went fast enough he could destroy the technique.

He moved slowly at first. The technique was already at full power, and it was tough going due to his battered state. But he began to pick up speed as he circled up the raging whirlpool. A downed palm tree got in his way, Naruto opened his jaws open as wide as he could, and then used his Wrath of Jaws technique to bite through the entire thing.

The two halves flying behind him he then saw Namur flying past him. Naruto glided to where he last saw him, raising his right fist and manipulated the water around it like a mini tornado. Seeing his opponent in his sights he punched out. The Whitebeard pirate saw the attack coming and barely managed to duck under the punch, the mini tornado flying harmlessly into the ocean.

Naruto's curse was garbled, but he was not deterred, he pushed himself to the brink his body could take, going faster than before, cutting through the water like a hot knife through butter.

On Namur's side, his eyes widened in horror. His ultimate technique was dying down, it wasn't slow, it was rapid. The broken palm trees were no longer deadly wooden spears, they were beginning to float to the surface, the water that took down the island was becoming clam again.

The Eighth Division Commander of the Whitebeard Pirates was running out of steam. All that he had in his tank was one last attack, he had to make it count! Sensing where Naruto was with his electroreception he threw back his left fist. "Thousand Water Saws Punch!" He hollered, bubbles escaping from his mouth as sharp blades swirled around his arm.

Naruto met him head on, throwing back his right arm and punching out with his full power. The mini tornado circling around his arm. "Whirlpool Breakthrough Fist!"

When their attacks collided, the entire sea blew up.

( The Nautilus )

"Holy shit!" Kotetsu shouted after they got to a safe distance.

"I...I agree." Igaram barely coughed out, his voice drier than the desert of Alabasta. "They...destroyed an entire island."

"I got nothing." Carmen whispered, her remaining eyes open to bug-like proportions.

"I captured it!" Miss Goldenweek exclaimed. Somehow she managed to produce an art easel, canvas and her signature brush and pallet. She painted the complete devastation of the island, a true, horrifying masterpiece.

"Oh Cap'n..." Bashura let out a surprised gasp. He had full faith in his Captain at the start of the fight, never wavering that he could win. But after such devastation, even he wasn't so sure anymore.

But then, the raging whirlpool erupted outwards, exploding like a gigantic mushroom cloud that reached a hundred feet into the sky! Sea water descended upon the four ships, soaking them all until they were soaked through to the bone and ruining Goldenweek's painting much to her dismay.

Igaram looked up, covering his eyes with his right arm to protect it from the stinging salt water. He saw a big rain drop, and stepped away to avoid being hit. Thankfully for the curly-haired man, he backed away just in time to avoid a body that would have crashed on top of him.

Bashura was the first to look at the body since he was the tallest. It was Namur, lying prone, his left arm all cut up and completely unconscious.

"Holy shit!" Kotetsu swore again, he couldn't believe his eyes. "Uzumaki won!"

"The Cap'n won!" Bashura reared back his head, letting out a loud victory cry that was heard around the area.

"Damn right I did." A very familiar voice alerted them, and they were greeted by Naruto gripping the rails of their beat up ship and slowly pulling himself onto the deck. Comically he flopped like a fish onto it before slowly, shakily standing to his own two feet. "Wait...did I win?"

"Yes...yes you did." Carmen replied, lightly patting a severely depressed Goldenweek.

"Good." The tiger shark fishman said, swaying to the right. "I'm just gonna...go to sleep." Without another word, he collapsed onto the deck of his ship, completely and utterly spent.

(One day later)

The next day Naruto awoke in an unfamiliar bed, exhausted and sore. Throwing off the covers he discovered he was stripped from the waist up, his torso and arms covered in gauze wrappings. Well at least he wasn't naked, that would have been embarrassing.

"You're finally awake, huh?" Turning his head Naruto was greeted by Namur sitting in his own bed, his rotund body covered in the same gauze wrappings. "You look like hell warmed over."

"I can say the same about you." The blonde replied, wincing as he clutched his ribs. "Damn, I can't believe that I won. It certainly doesn't feel like it."

"Believe it, you won. Barely." (2)

"Barely?"

"The doctor said your right hand is cracked in three places, it'll heal in a few days, nothing too serious. But your ribs, seems like I re-broke three of them, several lacerations along your body. She also pulled a few splinters from your back, and you kinda got..." Namur pointed to the right side of his mouth, or more accurately his teeth.

"Oh dammit." Using his tongue Naruto felt the right side of his face, and sure enough there were nine teeth missing. He regrew a new set a second later, the old falling out, and newer, sharper ones taking their place.

"It's wonderful being a shark fishman isn't it?" Namur asked.

"I won't have to worry about the dentist at least." Naruto replied. "Now what about your injuries?"

"My left hand is cracked in three places." Namur replied, showing off his bandaged arms. "Ribs are battered, I got at least ten heavy cracks in my forearms from that kick of yours, and my chest is going to need a few months before I can move it without wincing." He let out a loud yawn, rubbing his eyes tiredly. "And maybe a few days of rest. You exhausted me."

"I can tell, that was a dastardly technique. You sank an entire island like it was nothing." Even now Naruto was impressed, it almost killed him, but he just couldn't stay mad at such a technique that dwarfed his by a long shot.

"You're the only one to survive it." The older fishman pointed out.

"And I hope I never go through it ever again."

"Good, because that was my ace in the hole. It requires a great amount of concentration, energy, mental and physical stamina. If I lapsed in either of those four the technique would have failed if I was lucky, the worst..."

"You could have been torn to shreds like the island." Naruto completed for him. "That's a dangerous technique."

"It's usually my last resort. But if it wasn't for me using that attack, I would have definitely won." From the tone of his voice, Naruto knew that Namur wasn't lying. He was getting his ass beat in the whirlpool, and if it wasn't for him tapping into Sea King Mode and moving in the opposite direction to try and destroy the technique, he would have lost. Big time.

"I won by the skin of my broken teeth." Naruto lowly breathed out.

"Only by the skin, and this is a loss I won't take lightly." Namur slowly got to his feet and peered over at his fellow fishman. "Because the next time we meet, I will be a lot stronger. And should we ever fight again, I will not fall so easily."

Naruto only smirked in reply and brought his own bandaged right hand out. "I will promise you the same thing I promised Ace. I won't lose until then, you better get strong or that fight will be much shorter than this one."

"I look forward that that." Namur clasped his left hand with Naruto's right, firmly shaking it.

"Now you promised me that doctor-lady, what is her story?" Naruto asked.

"Well it's kind of complicated and you're not going to like it." Namur said, repressing a sigh.

"I won her, so tell me."

( The Nautilus - Thirty or so minutes later )

"Everyone. Gather around, yes you too Bashura, come on knock it off with the catnap." Naruto announced, clapping his hands as he arrived onto his ship thanks to the gangplank that temporarily connected his and Vista's ship together.

"Seems you're back to your usual self." Kotetsu lightly commented as he jumped from the crows nest and landed onto the deck with a light thud.

"Glad you're back Cap'n." Bashura greeted the fishman, uncurling himself from the warm, sunny deck and standing to his full height.

"Same here, now I know how many plates to put on the table." Carmen greeted him, clad in a frilly apron with a bit of flour on her left cheek that went back to normal after a night of icing it.

"I for one wasn't worried." Igaram proclaimed, putting up a good front with his chest puffed out and stood in a strong stance.

"Liar." Miss Goldenweek echoed next to him. She was still down in the dumps for her paining getting destroyed. Huh, and Naruto thought she couldn't display emotion.

"Good, now that I got your attention I want to reintroduce the First Mate of the ship." Bringing his right arm out, two members of Whitebeard's crew walked up the gangplank carrying a unconscious Gin in a gurney. "He's still resting, and I hope awakens soon so I can actually rest."

He only got several scoffs and rolls of eyes for his efforts.

"And second..." He gestured towards the gangplank. "I introduce you all to our new doctor, Shizune!"

The five were greeted with the sight of a fair-skinned woman of average height and slender build with black eyes and shoulder-length black hair with bangs that covered her ears and framed her face. She was wearing a long bluish-black kimono with white trimmings, held closed by a white obi, and open-toed sandals with low heels. Clasped in her manicured hands was a large suitcase and a white medical bag with a big red cross on the front of it along with several others resting by her feet.

"Um, hello." Shizune greeted them with a nervous smile, bowing towards them. "I am Shizune, please take care of me."

"Shizune is on loan to us." Naruto continued, gesturing to their fine doctor. "She'll treat our injuries ranging from lacerations, stab wounds, broken bones, the common cold, poison and everything under the hot sun. However, this is just temporary. I promised her that we would make our way over to Whitebeard when we get the chance."

He then reached into his pouch, producing two personalized den den mushi's. The first one had a curly black mustache and a dark blue top hat. The second was more shark-like with three sharp teeth sticking out of his lower jaw with a number eight tattooed on its body.

"Den den mushi's? Cap'n when did you get those?" Bashura asked.

"Only a few minutes ago. Both Vista and Namur gave these to me to keep in contact, and we created a den den mushi in my likeness so they can receive calls from me, and that was quite the sight let me tell you. But like it or not, we're allies with the Whitebeard Pirates."

"Seriously? I thought your fight was to not join their crew!" Igaram said, grabbing his hair in dismay.

"Allies. Allies Igaram." Naruto raised his hands to reason with the man. "Listen, we're out on our own and have no idea what the hell we're doing half the time. We need allies, veterans of the seas that actually know what they're doing. Plus, nothing scares the hell out people than the name Whitebeard."

"You know, that's actually smart of you." Kotetsu commented. "Maybe that fight didn't kill all your brain cells."

"Har, har, har. Go back up to the crows nest, we set sail in ten minutes. Bashura!" He handed their savage-looking navigator the den den mushi's. "Take those to the communication room, or whatever we have that resembles one."

"Aye, aye Cap'n." The Zoan-user nodded before retreating into the bowels of the ship.

"All right and Carmen, mind showing Shizune around? I feel the need to pass out in my room."

"Of course, I'm just glad I'm not around a ship full of men with testosterone." Carmen gave Naruto a light smile and grabbed one of Shizune's bags to help ease the burden. "Follow me, I believe I can find a room with your name on it."

"Um, yes. Thank you." Shizune stopped a few feet away before turning towards Naruto. "Get some rest Naruto, I'm going to want to give you and everyone else an examination tomorrow. It looks like you all are overdue for one."

"You sure you're up to that?" The blonde fishman asked.

"I am a doctor Naruto. The physiology of humans, long arms, long legs and fishmen are not unknown to me. I think I can handle myself."

"All right then, and you two." Naruto pointed at Igaram and Miss Goldenweek. He trailed off on what to do with them since they weren't exactly a part of his crew. One was just a passenger and the other was a...hostage? Stowaway? A tea-loving lazy painter? Yes sure lets go with that. "Prep the ship to sail. I want us to be the hell out of here in ten minutes."

Not staying around to hear their answers, Naruto opened the doors and descended into the ship. It didn't take him too long to reach his room, walking past the space that used to have a door. He stumbled halfway there, and threw himself onto the late Captain Kuro's bed.

He was asleep before he even hit the mattress.

The very next day Shizune kept her promise. At eight in the morning their new doctor roused the sleeping crew, Bashura, Carmen, and Igaram were woken up on the first try. Naruto, Kotetsu, and Goldenweek no so much. That morning they earned the ire of her hands gripping their mattresses or hammocks and flipping them onto the cold hard floor.

"I assume you all know what today is?" Shizune demanded once the tired crew was roused from their beds.

"Uh, Tuesday?" Kotetsu, garbed in a pair of light blue jeans with his swords strapped to his waist as always, lightly scratched his stitches on his torso.

Shizune immediately slapped his hand away from his chest. Causing the young man to cry out in surprise. "Today all of you are getting a check up."

"Aw, is this really necessary?" Miss Goldenweek, dressed in her usual clothes lowly whined.

"Yes, because I am concerned for your health. All of you have either been fighting, or not taking are of yourselves properly. I want to see how bad you are so I can reverse the damage."

"Well it was only a matter of time." Carmen lightly yawned. "Do we need to change for this?" She asked, indicating her pink, but modest nightgown.

"I will be taking you all on one at a time, so you'll have time to change into whatever you're comfortable with. Now my first patient will be..." Their new doctor lightly moved her fingers between the six of them before landing it on the biggest of them, wearing nothing but a pair of red pants. "You."

"Me?" Bashura pointed at himself in confusion.

"Yes. You come with me." Without waiting for an answer she turned on her heel and made her way to the infirmary. Their giant navigator followed soon after, not exactly knowing what to do. He couldn't very well say no.

Once they arrived in the infirmary Bashura settled on the examination table. Despite being greatly taller, and outweighing her by maybe a hundred pounds, Bashura was quite nervous. Truth be told, he never was examined by a doctor before, at least not in the traditional means.

"Relax, I need to ask a few questions first." Shizune said in a calm voice. In her hands were a clipboard and pencil, nothing scary so far. "First I need you to tell me your name, age, island, any devil fruit along with its classification that you may have eaten, position on the ship, and I got instruments to determine your height and weight."

"Um, yes. My name is Bashura no surname. I'm nineteen..."

"Nineteen?" Shizune looked up from her charts, her eyes wide and disbelieving. "You're kidding me."

"I am not, I am from Rai Island, and I ate the Cat-Cat Fruit: Model Black Panther of the Zoan class. I am also the navigator of The Nautilus." He continued.

"And your tattoo's and piercings...scars?" She asked looking at his exposed torso with a keen eye.

"Got my tattoo's and piercings on my island. The Shaman of my village granted them to me throughout my life before I departed on my journey." Bashura explained to her. "I have no scars, got cut deep a few times but they never left a mark."

"Mhmm I see. Now I need you to stand to your full height."

When Bashura stood onto his two feet, Shizune pulled out a measuring tape. "Now as I measure you mind if I ask a few questions? This will be off the record."

"Go ahead and ask."

"Was there a doctor before I came along? You friend Gin there." Shizune gestured to the sleeping First Mate in a bed several feet away from them. "Was in bad shape, I saw a bunch of marks where leeches were attached to him, and found several herbs to cleanse the body. Can you tell me who he or she was?"

"You're looking at him." Bashura proudly admitted.

"I'm a little surprised. You're more complex than I originally thought. Um, in a good way." She corrected herself so she didn't accidentally offend him. "Where did you learn it? I know you needed to mix the herbs correctly or else it wouldn't work."

"My mother was a healer. At a young age she taught me how to make salves, tonics, and how to set bone. I learned the basics just in case something were to happen to me."

"She must have been very proud."

"Yes. Yes she was." Bashura went quiet for a while, letting Shizune measure him fully. "What about you? What is your training?"

"Me? Oh I am the niece of a man named Kanto Dan, he was..." She trailed off, feeling a bit embarrassed to admit this. "He was the lover of my sensei. And when he died, she took me in and trained me in all the medical arts."

"I assume she was good?"

"The best. Shes one of the top five doctors in the world. She taught me how to fix bones, take care of lacerations, cure poisons and other sicknesses." She would have rambled on if it weren't for the fact that she got his entire height. "Eight foot even, you're a big one."

"I'm all right." He admitted before he was gestured to stand on the scale. Thank God it was intended to handle severe pressure or it would have broke. "Three-hundred and ten? Is that normal?"

"Normal enough for a person your size." Shizune replied before writing down the results and pulled a pair of rubber gloves on. "Now I'm going to need you to say ahhh."

It took another ten minutes for their new doctor to finish up Bashura's examination. From testing his reflexes, to checking his eyes, ears, mouth, blood pressure and taking a blood sample.

"Well other than waiting a day for your blood results to be done, I have to say you are so far the most sturdy of the crew. A clean bill of health, just make sure to move around during the day. Just because you ate a cat related devil fruit does not mean you can be lazy like one."

"I think I can do that." Bashura thanked her.

"Good, now please bring Igaram in when you leave okay?"

"Of course Miss Shizune."

Several minutes later Igaram arrived in the infirmary. "I suppose I'm next?" He asked.

"Yes, please take a seat. I will make this quick and painless."

"Just for the record I am not part of this crew."

"I know, but as long as you're on this ship, you are still under my care. Come on, sit." Shizune lightly tapped her pencil on her clipboard, a fresh medical sheet clipped onto it. "Now I need you to tell me your name, age, island, any devil fruit along with its classification that you may have eaten, and I think you know where this is heading."

"Yes of course." Igaram lightly cleared his throat. "My name is Igaram no surname. I am forty-four, I hail from Alabasta, and have eaten no devil fruit."

"Position on ship?" She asked.

"Various. It's the least I could do for your Captain taking me all the way to Alabasta."

Shizune lowly hummed in response, scratching down his answers. "I assume you're married."

"Most certainly. I'm probably the only one who's got a spouse on this ship." He proudly answered.

"I figured as much. Not many pirates have married, it's a hard, dangerous life." She scratched down several more things before setting it down and pulling on a new pair of rubber gloves. "Now I'm going to need you to drop your pants."

"What?" Igaram squeaked out.

"AHHHH!"

"Oh God, what is she doing to him?" Naruto recoiled from the cry of agony several rooms below them.

"I assume it is needed, and he is overreacting." Carmen replied as she poured herself a glass of milk for herself. "I assume you're nervous?"

"Kind of." He admitted.

"Don't worry yourself Cap'n. She was gentle as a lamb with me, the worst she did for me was take some blood. And she assured me it won't be used for dark magics." Bashura said.

"Dark magics. Really?" Kotetsu asked with a sweat-drop.

"You don't mess with that stuff. Blood is used in them, and it brings bad tidings." Their resident catman said in a serious voice.

"Does your island do that sort of stuff?" Naruto dared to ask.

Bashura didn't answer for a while, at least until Carmen poured him a giant glass of milk that he guzzled greedily. "Some rival tribes do it. Some as a last resort, others use them as often as the air we breathe."

"Is there a lot of infighting? Does that include your tattoos?" Carmen asked pouring another glass for herself.

"Not really. The island is big and holds about six large tribes, and we are mostly isolated from each other. There are a few skirmishes, but we have not had an all out war in nearly fifty years." The giant man replied before finishing off his milk. "As for my tattoo's, they are part of my culture. For deeds, accomplishments, or even certain kills. I received my first one when I was born and got more when I got older."

"Seems like you're out of room for anymore big guy." Kotetsu lightly remarked.

"I got room for a few more." Bashura cryptically replied.

A second after he said that, Igaram joined them. His face was paler than usual, and he was walking funny. Without a word he slowly made his way over to the table and gingerly sat down onto a empty chair. "Miss Goldenweek, the doctor wishes to see you now." He said in a soft, funny voice.

"Aww, I don't wanna." The youngest stowaway complained bordly.

"I would think it be wise that you don't keep her waiting." The older man said.

"Nope." Miss Goldenweek crossed her arms in defiance.

"All right that's enough of that." Kotetsu said grabbing the younger woman by the back of her cloud-patterned shirt. "I'll go with you, it'll probably save her time and effort in tracking me down as well. Later guys."

"Kotetsu let me down." Miss Goldenweek lowly moaned out without a trace of energy in her voice.

"Nope. You aren't getting off that easy." Kotetsu replied as they left the kitchen.

Once they left Naruto turned towards Igaram, a blonde eyebrow raised. "So, what happened to you?"

"I don't want to talk about it." Igaram planted his face onto the table in shame.

"I asked for the small one." Shizune said after Kotetsu arrived with Miss Goldenweek not really trying to escaped from his grasp.

"She didn't want to come, so I volunteered to bring her." Kotetsu said bringing the smaller woman over to the examination table, and plopped her onto it. "I also thought I could save you the trouble in tracking me down."

"Guess I cannot say no to that." Shizune turned to Miss Goldenweek and gave her a light smile. "Okay, I'll make this quick and easy for you. I need you to tell me your name, age, island, any devil fruit along with its classification that you may have eaten, and your position on the ship. I'll handle your height and weight."

She got nothing in response.

"Sorry Shizune, I don't know if you were told but Miss Goldenweek here is, at least I think still is a part of an organization called the Baroque Works. I don't think she will tell you much." Kotetsu piped up.

"That's going to make things complicated." The new doctor frowned, tapping her clipboard lightly. "So Goldenweek is her name?"

"Miss Goldenweek." The swordsman corrected her. "I don't know much about her but I do know that she paints and loves tea parties."

"Tea parties? That will not do." Shizune said scribbling down on her medical chart. "I'm going to have to lower her sugar intake."

Miss Goldenweek's eyes widened and jumped to her feet.

"I think you got a reaction out of her." Kotetsu lightly remarked. "I haven't seen that since Igaram got her hopped up on sugar...don't get her hopped up on sugar. You saw the deck of the ship, we're still trying to scrub all that stuff off."

"Noted, thank you for the warning Kotetsu." Shizune thanked him, she scratched down 'Do not feed sugar' in big bold letters and underlined it three times. "Miss Goldenweek, if that is that your real name. I am not going to interrogate you, I just want a few things answered."

Letting out a sigh, Goldenweek answered her questions. "My real name is of no importance, just call me Miss Goldenweek. I am fifteen years old, I rather not speak of my home, and I have not eaten a devil fruit or have a position on the ship."

Shizune wasn't exactly satisfied with her answers, but wrote down what she learned. And did the measurements, weighing, and drew some blood. It was quite simple, and Goldenweek never complained, or moved, or even blinked for that matter while the tests went on.

"All right, that should do it. Just take it easy on the sugar, okay?"

Miss Goldenweek nodded and left without a word. (3)

"You'll get used to it, or not. She mostly stays in one spot and is extremely lazy." Kotetsu shrugged and took his shirt off. He wanted his stitches looked at, better safe than sorry after all. "I know the routine be now. My name is Kotetsu no surname, I'm eighteen. Sorry I rather not discuss where I'm from, I ate the Quick-Quick Fruit; it's the Paramecia class by the way, and I'm the swordsman on this ship."

"Good you saved me a few minutes at least." Shizune jotted down his information. On the human drawing part of the medical chart she drew two lines on his torso going from shoulder to hip. "How are your cuts?"

"Itchy." He replied.

"Well don't pick at it or I will have to put dog cones on you hands. Now how are you mentally?"

"Uh, what? I don't understand."

Lightly swallowing a lump in her throat, Shizune clarified what she meant. "During the fight with Vista you changed."

"Magara, he doesn't like being ignored." Kotetsu lowly said.

"Right, this 'Magara'." Shizune wrote down the name with suspicion. "What can you tell me about him."

"He's a fucking psycho." Kotetsu replied, not at all beating around the bush. "He kills and enjoys it. He goes after vital organs, major blood vessels. He loves to make his opponents bleed just as much as he loved killing them. He's not picky either, men, women, I suspect children if he ever had his chance. It doesn't matter, a victim is a victim, but he does love picking off Marines."

Shizune felt a shiver run up her spine as she jotted the information down. "And when did this start?"

The swordsman had to hold back a yawn. "When my best friend got his brains blasted over my face by Morgan "Moonscar" McCrite. He showed out of the blue and killed the man...or I did, I-I can't remember too well."

"Relax this is a safe place." She said in a calming voice. "What triggers it?"

"He gets triggered by blood. If over half my face gets covered in blood he comes out to play, or if I undergo a lot of stress he comes out to play." He lightly shivered, feeling a disturbance in his mind.

"Kotetsu, you have multiple personality disorder." Shizune bluntly said jotting down his disorder. "I had a feeling you had that when you started cursing like a sailor. Did you know about this?"

"No, not at all. I was depressed for a while, but I was cleared for active service a few months later by a therapist." He replied with surprise in his voice before lightly rubbing his tired eyes.

"You don't sleep well either."

"No, I keep seeing the victims. The people of Iron Island, the Marines, my friend. All of them."

"You also have insomnia." Shizune jotted that down as well. "Now this might be difficult, but is there a chance I can talk to this Magara."

"I rather you not. He does not talk."

"Just try. I have a sedative ready just in case. Plus you're not as scary with your swords." She pointed at the swords dangling at his waist. "Mind removing them for now?"

"I'll..." Before Kotetsu could do it he went limp, eyes unfocused before snapping into a upright position , his pupils constricted. "How about you go fuck yourself you scrawny cow!"

"So I assume you're Magara." Shizune said, keeping her calm, even though she was shaking like a leaf.

"No shit, who else would I be? The Fleet Admiral? The fuck do you want?"

"I want to know-"

"I already fucking know, I can see what this dipshit sees, and hear what he hears." Magara spat, clutching the hilts of his swords as he rose to his feet. "Nice plan with the sedatives, but they won't work when I cut your fucking arms off!"

Slowly Shizune backed away until she bumped into the counter containing the cotton balls, tongue depressors and everything she needed medical-wise. "Stay back or I will hurt you." She said between her teeth. "I'm not some girl you can pick on."

"I can see otherwise. Come on I can take all of you-"

BONK!

Magara's eyes crossed, let out a goofy noise and crumpled to the floor. And sanding behind him was a very satisfied Carmen with a cast iron frying pan in her right hand.

"Carmen?" Shizune breathlessly asked placing her hand over her beating heart. "Oh thank God you came just in time."

"You can thank Naruto, he felt the bloodlust spike a few seconds ago." She lightly waved her frying pan that had a bit of a dent in it. "He told me to take the frying pan and whack the offender over the head with it. I say it worked brilliantly."

"I guess it's due to his species. Sharks can sense blood in the water, and I'm guessing your Captain can detect bloodlust as well."

"Possibly, now you going to do something or are you going to leave him on the floor?" Carmen asked pointing to the crew's unconscious swordsman.

"I took the Hippocratic Oath, even if this one will be a handful. Mind giving me a hand putting him in a bed?" Shizune asked.

It took less than a minute for both women to pick up the sandy-haired teen and deposited him onto one of ten beds in the infirmary. Shizune checked the back of his head, and made sure he didn't have a concussion before giving him a powerful sedative that put Kotetsu in a deep sleep so she could complete her exam at a later date where he would hopefully not kill her.

"You going to be okay?" Carmen asked.

"It will take a lot more than that to scare me into submission." Shizune replied. Taking the medical sheet off her clip board and putting a new one on, and along with tossing Kotetsu's shirt onto an empty chair, she was ready to do her next exam. "Okay Carmen. I'm going to make this easy for you. I need your name, age, island, any devil fruit along with its classification that you may have eaten, and position on the ship."

"You already know my name." Carmen replied as she sat on the examination table. "I have no surname."

"I have been getting that a lot today." Shizune commented as she jotted down the answer.

"I know right? It seems that few people have last names nowadays." Carmen replied replied with a small smile. "I am twenty-four years old, I was not born on an island instead I was raised on a ship called The Gourmet. And I have not eaten any devil fruits." (4)

"Good, good. I can see this ship isn't filled to the brim with devil fruit-users. And I can see you're diverse enough with various backgrounds." Shizune said writing down on her medical chart.

"Five men and three women. Or more specifically four men and three women once Igaram departs from our company." The Chef replied. "And I suspect you will get more people as time goes on. There are plenty of positions left that need to be filled. Shipwright for instance, maybe an inventor or smith to maintain the weapons." Carmen lightly shrugged before stretching her arms out. "I would also like some music as well, it gets so boring with the creaking of the ship and sounds of the gulls."

"Maybe one day. But for now I need you to say ahh."

Like the rest of her patients, Shizune took some blood, got her height and weight, and even checked her breasts for lumps to be on the safe side. It was standard procedure, quick and painless. Carmen was impressed by the amount of professionalism Shizune exhibited, and she did it by the books and little to no pain when it came to drawing blood.

"Well you seem to be in good health." Shizune proclaimed after she was finished. "No lumps, no scars, you're quite healthy." (5)

"Being a Chef has it's advantages. I know what I eat, and I'm hoping to do that for everyone else." Carmen smiled before sliding off the examination table.

"I got one question, and this is between the two of us. I hope you don't mind."

"Go right ahead."

"Why are you here? I can understand why Kotetsu, Bashura, and Gin are following Naruto because of their...situations. But why are you with them?" Shizune asked.

"I got on the wrong ship. They didn't throw me into the sea, and promised to take me to Cook Island so my poor worried assistants can see me again." Carmen replied with a light shrug of her shoulders. "The most I can do is make sure they don't starve. Trust me, while those guys are strong they are idiots when it comes to feeding themselves."

"Plus you love cooking." Shizune replied.

"Of course I do. I'm a Chef after all, it's what I do for a living." Carmen smiled in reply. "Now, I assume you need me to get Naruto?"

"Please do. And if he refuses, instruct everyone to bring him in by force if need be."

"I don't think that will be necessary. But will do, thanks doctor."

Five minutes later Naruto arrived in the infirmary, the first thing he noticed was an unconscious Kotetsu resting in one of the beds, his belt and swords resting next to him. "So I was right, I guess the small dent in the frying pan wasn't from her dropping it."

"Unfortunately not. He will be fine after a few hours of sleep, but he will have a slight headache." Shizune coolly replied.

"I figured as much." Naruto replied before sitting down on the examination table. "All right, ask me what you want."

"Just like the others, I need your name, age, island, any devil fruit along with its classification that you may have eaten, position on the ship. And because of your species I'll have a few extra questions if you don't mind." She said prepping her last medical sheet.

"My full name is Uzumaki Naruto, I'm seventeen and come from Fishman Island. I have not, nor will ever eat a devil fruit, and I am the reluctant Captain of this ship." Naruto said, moving his neck until the bones in his neck popped.

"I see you don't like devil fruit-users despite you having two of your own. Is there a reason why?" Shizune asked as she wrote on the medical chart.

"It's because the weakest person in the world can eat a piece of fruit and suddenly you can shoot smoke out your ass, or fly, or turn into an animal. Now I trained myself, spend years shedding countless blood, sweat and tears to get to where I am. And then some asshole eats a piece of fruit and becomes super powerful, it's cheating." Naruto replied.

"And yet you seem to tolerate both Kotetsu and Bashura."

"Fuck if I know. I got used to them I guess." The tiger shark fishman shrugged in reply. He personally didn't know the answer himself, but that was that answer he gave.

"Now I got a two questions regarding your views on humanity, how do you feel about us?" Shizune asked.

"I abstain from that question." Naruto said with narrow eyes.

"Okay, okay sorry to pry." Shizune raised her free hand to gesture that she was letting go of the subject for now. "Now the second might be me being ignorant, but I have never seen a fishman like you before. Would you mind telling what type of shark you are, and why you're more human-like."

That was not something Naruto expected to hear from her. He was slightly baffled and took a few minutes to answer her. The first thing he did was point at the black tiger stripes along his arms. "I am a tiger shark fishman, and I believe one of my parents had a tiger shark ancestor. Whose I honestly can't tell you. But for me being human-like, I think I got that from my mother."

"Your mother?" Shizune asked with a raised eyebrow before scribbling on her chart. "Mind explaining that to me?"

"Well there are four types of fish people, fishmen, mermen, mermaids, and most recently to my memory fishwomen." Naruto began to explain to her. "Now it's not unheard of for any of those four to hook up and start families. I mean my father was a fishman and my mother a mermaid." He paused after that, going quiet for a little bit leaving Shizune to silently jot down something she suspected, but would not voice it until Naruto was ready. (6)

"When I was growing up I noticed that I was different. As you know, fishmen take on the qualities of their species. The greatest example I can think of is that asshole Arlong being looking more sawshark than anything else. You know, pointed jagged nose, webbed hands and feet. But me, I got no webbed hands, feet or anything." He showed her his hands, and toes, free of any webbing. "So that's why I guess I took after my mother."

"So what you're saying is that you took your more human-like appearance from your mother who was a mermaid." Shizune replied, nodding to herself. It made sense, mermaids were often mistaken as humans especially when they hit the age of thirty.

"Yes. And for the record you might want to put on that human sketch thingy some of the scars I got, more specifically this." Naruto unwrapped his right fist; keeping his forearm covered, and unbuckled his vest to show the teeth marks on his right side. "These are the only scars I got so far. Is that all you need?"

"Almost..." Shizune quickly sketched out his scars on the chart before setting it down and pulling on her last pair of latex gloves. She then pulled out a syringe that had a sterilized needle on it like the rest for her procedures. "Now you're going to feel a slight pinch."

Naruto backed up in the examination table, his eyes wide as dinner plates. "What are you going to do with that?"

"It's all in the procedure. Trust me I'm a doctor." It could have been the lighting of the room, but Naruto swore that her eyes gleamed dangerously.

"NOOOO!"

Naruto's cry alerted the four remaining individuals within the kitchen. Bashura's ears twitched before looking towards the infirmary, Miss Goldenweek raised an eyebrow, Igaram shivered, and Carmen only paused for a second before opening the fridge to retrieve some eggs and chives.

"Oh the Cap'n's getting it now." Bashura said in a sing-song-voice.

"I think he's just overreacting." Carmen lightly replied as she turned on the stove.

"I hope it's not what she did to me." Igaram morosely said, his right hand rubbing his rump tenderly. "That woman is not gentle at all."

"I think she only did that because you're old." Miss Goldenweek bordly replied.

"I am not old. I'm forty-four!" The well dressed man protested.

"You're old." The three younger members said in union.

"Your Captain is rubbing off on you, disrespecting your elders. What is the world coming to?" Igaram wagged his finger at them.

"He's not that bad. Better than Kuro or Krieg." Bashura replied knowing from first hand experience how those two men treated their crew.

"I have to agree." Carmen seconded as she cracked a few eggs into a separate frying pan. One that did not have a dent in it. "He hasn't forced us to do anything we didn't want to do, he has never laid a hand on us. Or thrown us overboard. Now, how do you like your eggs?"

"Scrambled." Miss Goldenweek piped up.

"Sunny side up." Igaram said.

"Got any of that dinosaur steak left?" Bashura asked.

"Now that wasn't so bad was it?" Shizune asked after putting a bandage on his right arm.

"I hate needles." Naruto sourly replied.

"Everyone does Naruto." Shizune said before taking the syringe of blood to the other side of the room. Taking up a small vial she inserted the needle into the rubber stopper and squirted his blood into it and tossed it into the hazardous waste bin before placing it with the others.

"What exactly are you going to do with our blood?"

"I'm going to run them through some tests."

"What kind of tests?" He asked with a raised brow.

"To determine your blood type for one. I also want to see how much antibodies, nutrients, oxygen, and hemoglobins you all have." She replied, listing off things that made absolutely no sense to the blonde. "I also want to test to see if any of you have contracted something. It's just a precaution of course."

Naruto lightly squinted his eyes in response. "All right, have it your way."

Shizune lightly smiled in response. "Don't worry yourself. Too much stress isn't good for your blood pressure, which is quite high mind you."

"Yea well..." Naruto reached into his pouch to pull out a cigar, and watched as it got snagged away and embedded into the wall by a needle?

"There is no smoking in the infirmary, and it isn't good for you." Their new doctor said in a threatening voice. "I would advise you to not do so in the future."

"Uh...yes ma'am." The blonde slowly replied, huge beads of sweat pouring down his face in nervousness. He looked at his pinned cigar, the needle firmly pinning it in place. "What exactly was that?"

"My fighting style." Shizune simply replied. "Unlike my teacher I fight using weapons coated in poison. I have types that can incapacitate, make someone sick, or outright kill them."

"That is not terrifying at all. Oh no not at all." Naruto said in the deadest voice imaginable. Of freaking course that was terrifying, even he was having second thoughts of eating anything around her ever again.

"But for every poison there is an antidote. Thanks to my lessons I can create an antidote for nearly every poison on the Grand Line." Shizune continued, turning her attention to the bedridden Gin. She then turned back towards Naruto, speaking in the most serious voice imaginable."I rather save lives than take them, that's why I became a doctor in the first place."

"And the world rejoices for it." An exhausted, but strong voice said after she finished speaking.

Both Naruto and Shizune turned their heads in surprise. Four pairs of eyes settled onto two that had not been open in quite sometime. Gin gave them an exhausted look before speaking again. "So, what did I miss?"

8-16-15:

Armageddon: Hey my favorite reviewers, you know who you are. I'm still alive, and here is a new chapter. Sorry about the lack of my Army's shenanigans but I have run out of juice for them now. But anyways fights over, Shizune is their medic, all of them are healthy minus some scars, and Gin is FINALLY awake. Wooo! I am excited! And exhausted, I had to pull in some major creative overtime for this so I hope you all enjoy it. And seriously folks, leave a review not "Awesome Chapter", that's all I ask. I can't improve otherwise.

1. All right I am going to be frank. I have looked up Namur as much as I could, and he has literally nothing in his background other than he was born on Fishman Island (supposedly), joined the Whitebeard Pirates, is their Eighth Division Commander and only non-humanoid on the crew, that his jaws are powerful enough to bite through an axe and potentially knows Fishman Karate. So I am not ashamed to admit I made up all his abilities, and they are saw-related because that's all I could think of at the time.

2. Yes Naruto won, barely. Trust me I struggled with this fight making Naruto literally fight to win. He won, of course but I just want you all to know that it was supposed to be a struggle. If it wasn't...well then I don't know what to say, I'll try better next time should there ever be a rematch.

3. Miss Goldenweek, yea I know jack about her as well. So I made everything as vague as possible, I think it was suiting.

4. Am I the only one that realizes this? I mean this series has been going for nearly seventeen years, tops. And there have been thousands of characters and I can think of only twenty, tops that have full last and first names.

5. The same with Goldenweek I only have guesswork with her. So...yea enjoy my made up stuff.

6. It occurs to me that there are also Fishwomen. I got this from several reviewers and I thank you all for that. Now the only one in the series so far to my knowledge is Octopako. I rather not bother explaining who she is. But this was an oversight on my part, my bad. So I had Naruto say it came to recent memory because...well he just remembered, I'm not saying it's a good excuse, but it's all I got.
