Kaigan Yo-Kai! Chapter 2: Rebirth of the Ghost!, a Kamen Rider + Yo-Kai Watch Crossover fanfic

Nate's Dream

Nate found himself in the middle of a forest and it was the middle of the day. He looked around until his eyes laid upon a strange and shocking sight. Two people, a bald man, and a woman, standing over a body he recognized as Takeru's! Even more surprising is that in front of them are two strange monsters that the other two don't seem to notice for some reason.

Before Nate could react the sky turned dark and it looked like night had come in an instant. A bright light shined down on Takeru's body and Takeru's body began to glow a blinding light. When it died down Takeru's body was gone but standing where it once was is Takeru but looking transparent and with a strange belt around his waist. The human pair doesn't see the transparent Takeru and runs around looking for him while Takeru tries to get their attention. the humans run off to find their friend.

"You again?" one of the monsters questioned. Takeru then faces them with a determined look. "I'm...not gonna have any more regrets!" Takeru picks up what looks like the handguard for a katana. "I will protect everyone's lives" he puts the handguard in his robe and places his hand on the belt for a second before gaining a look of confusion "Uhh how do I do this?" just then a small orange and white creature with one eye appeared."Push the Eyecon's switch, put it into the belt, and then transform!" Takeru looked at it and questioned "Eyecon?" before taking out a small circular object that looks similar to an eye. "This?" Takeru pushes the button on the side of the Eyecon and the G appears on it. he opens the belt and puts it inside before closing it

~EYE~

~BACCHIRI MINAA~

A black and orange hood with eyes then emerges from the belt and starts floating in the air surprising Takeru. Pull the trigger and then push it in!" explained the little creature and Takeru did as explained.

~KAIGAN!ORE!~

Takeru's body starts to flow and he gains a black armor with orange glowing markings. "Eh?Eh? I'm glowing!" the monsters are confused "What are you trying to do?" one demands. "I don't know either! " the hood then gets the monsters to step back and then heads for Takeru. Takeru not sure what to do tries to dodge before falling to the ground. "Woah, woah! Stay away! Back!" The hood puts itself on Takeru and he gets enveloped in an orange light.

~LET'S GO!~

~KAKUGO!~

~GO GO GO! GHOST!~

~GO! GO! GO! GO!~

The sun shines again and the day is back Nate can tell Takeru looks different but before he can see.

Adam's House

Nate wakes up in his room. He looks around his room and then at his clock which reads 10:18. "what was with that dream? I haven't seen Mr.Tenkuji in 7 years. Why would I be thinking about it now?" Nate then looks at the watch on his wrist. "Is it because of all the adventures I've had with the Yo-kai Watch?" You may be wondering what is the Yo-Kai Watch. To most of the people of Springdale Nate Adams is an incredibly average boy with an incredibly average life but little do they know that is the furthest thing from the truth

It all started when Nate and his two friends, Bear Bernstein and Eddie Archer, were catching bugs together. Nate got made fun of for only catching a stag beetle and it didn't help when Katie Forester, Nate's other friend/secret crush, called him average. Frustrated Nate went into the woods to find a rare bug and when he found one it led him to a mysterious capsule machine. Nate heard a voice telling him to put a quarter in the machine which he did out of fright. when Nate opened the capsule that came from the machine his life changed forever

A Yo-kai named Whisper emerged from the capsule and explained how he was sealed in that capsule for 190 years and became Nate's self-proclaimed butler as thanks for freeing him.

Whisper explained that Yo-kai are spiritual beings who tend to cause trouble for people in the human world. They are invisible to the naked eye but thanks to the Yo-Kai Watch given to him by Whisper, Nate can see as well as summon Yo-kai, and using it he has made some very interesting Yo-kai friends. Two of said friends are living with him as well. They are Nate's first yo-kai friend Jibanyan, a cat Yo-kai who loves choco bars, and Hidabat, a shy and slightly timid bat Yo-kai who lives in Nate's closet. Since getting the Yo-kai watch Nate's life has never been the same, for better or for worse, though he would mostly, say for the better.

Nate gets out of bed, walks to his desk, and opens one of the drawers to find the object given to him by Takeru 7 years ago. He takes a closer look at it wondering what it is exactly. It's kinda oddly predictable when Nate thinks about it. His dream was to be a ghost hunter who would help people and make friends with the friendly ghost and years later that's exactly what he does practically every day, though the friendly ghost part can vary. He was promptly interrupted from his thoughts by a voice "Nate." "AH!" Nate jumps in surprise and quickly turns to face his know-nothing butler Whisper. "Whisper don't sneak up on me like that! Nearly had a heart attack jeez." Whisper gives a curt nod "Apologies but Nate didn't you say you were going to hot springs with Bear and Eddie soon? Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't you say that you were going to head there at 11?" It was at that time it dawned on Nate that he had less than an hour to get ready cause he overslept. "GAH! I'm gonna be late if I don't hurry! Whisper why didn't you wake me up sooner!?" Nate quickly pocketed the item in his hand and dashed around his room to get ready. "Well for one thing I did in fact try to wake you up but you my head in your sleep as if I was a big alarm clock. Furthermore, even if I didn't you should learn to be responsible and punctual on your own Nate." the butler yo-kai explained as his master rushed to get ready for a day at the Springdale Hot Springs. Little did Nate know that today his life would become so much stranger than it was before.

Springdale Indoor Hot Springs

Nate, Bear, and Eddie were currently soaking in the hot springs"Sweet this is the hugest bathtub I've ever been in."Bear said happily"It's not a bathtub it's a hot spring" Eddie corrected his friend"Is it me or is the water a bit too hot" were the words Nate spoke before he noticed bubbles in the water and Whisper then revealed himself in the water surprising Nate"Whisper what are you doing in here" "It's my duty to properly teach you how to soak in a hot spring. Now sink down and count 1..2.." as Nate sinks in the water and he and Whisper begin to count the water starts to feel so hot that Nate's face starts going red "..3..I'm..boil..ing!"Nate quickly gave up as the water was just too hot! "I'm unimpressed!" Whisper is shocked and mildly disappointed that Nate quit so fast. However, he wasn't the only one, a couple of seconds later Bear and Eddie exited the hot spring. "I'm feeling woozy." said a slightly dizzy Bear "Soaking in hot water can be dangerous, I'm out of here." said Eddie being just as dizzy.

Having just about enough Nate rushes out of the water. "I've had enough too!" as he gets out he sees that many others are also getting lightheaded and leaving the pool too. "Isn't it weird that everyone is getting nauseous? There's gotta be a yo-kai around here messing with us!" Nate then holds the button on the side of the Yo-Kai Watch as the watch emits a light to find the hidden yo-kai. Whisper however doubts he'll find one "Balderdash I've never heard of a yo-kai who makes people dizzy bathing." He is however shocked when Nate finds one "There!" Whisper turns around and the watch reveals a large pig-rabbit Yo-kai with a round belly and a puckered belly button, with a single horn, thick purple lips, and drooping ears, and his green tongue is always hanging out. He wears a yellow swimming mask, a light blue towel tied around his shoulder, and two wrist bands, as well as white boxers and a blue loin cloth with a hot spring symbol on it. He carries a bath bucket in each hand.

"Whisper, what the heck is that" Whisper looks at the yo-kai with an annoyed look"Oh him that's..." he suddenly goes underwater and looks at his yo-kai pad for information" Well, that's...Sproink!" he says gurgly from underneath the water before resurfacing "He's responsible for making people get lightheaded in the bath from all the heat and steam!"

"You guys are wimps a bath isn't hot enough unless you feel like passing out. HOTTER!" Sproink claps the two bath buckets in his hand together making the water even hotter. "I'm going to be sick!" Unfortunately, Whisper was still in the water and the heat made him so nauseous he nearly passed out before floating out. "I suppose it's better to have Sproink in a public pool, who just makes the water hotter. Trust me Nate this situation could be a whole lot worse just imagine if Fidgephant were here" Remembering said Yo-kai Nate could see how that would be worse"I see your point" Sproink gives a content sigh "This bath is so nice and roomy. I think I'll relax and hang out here for a while." Nate gets upset at that"Hey that's not fair we want to take a dip without boiling ourselves alive." Sproink however doesn't seem to care "If you want me to get out of this pool, you're gonna have to make me get out of this pool." Whisper and Nate look at one another "No offense but I'm betting on him" Nate gives him a nod before raising the Yo-Kai Watch " Hm but Sproink doesn't know about this." Whisper is once again shocked and mildly disappointed "Wait you're not going to compete yourself?"

"Come on out my friend!"

"Calling...Blazion!"

"Yo-Kai Medal do your thing!"

SUMMONING BRAVE!

"Blazion!"

Blazion is a lion Yo-kai that has a white scar on his forehead. His mane and eyebrows are burning flame and his fur is orange. He has large hands and forearms with red spirals on them. He wears a grey-black martial artist robe.

"Blazion should be able to handle it dudes literally on fire!" Blazion gives a couple of growls as a response before jumping into the water. A few seconds passed and Nate and Whisper wondered what was happening before Blazion burst from the pool gushing water from his mouth into the pool "I Don't get it"Nate stared at Blazion confused at what was going on "I think he's gushing water like one of those fancy hotel faucets." That did not solve Nate's confusion if anything it made him even more confused "Dude why?"Whisper gains a sympathetic look on his face"Maybe Blazion is sad because he never had the chance to luxuriate in a nice bath" Nate stares at Whisper wryly "I didn't think lions liked to take bathes." Blazion then uses his flames to make the water hotter and Sproink gives a relaxed groan "Aaahh..that's the stuff blazingly hot." It seems like all it did was make Sproink enjoy the pool more "This smells like defeat. The waters getting even hotter which is making Sproink giddy. Nate, it's time to call in the next Yo-kai."

"Come on out my friend!"

"Calling...Roughraff!"

"Yo-Kai Medal do your thing!"

SUMMONING TOUGH

GRUFF STUFF!

RUFF BLUFF!

RED BAND, JACKET STAND, BLING BLANG, TOUGH!

"Roughraff!"

Roughraff's a green-skinned saurian Yo-kai with a short tail, large orange claws on his feet, a fairly muscular build, a pointed, curved mouth, a long red tongue, and orange markings surrounding his eyes and inner ears. He has a large orange pompadour and wears purple pants and white gauze around his waist.

"Roughraff is a rebel without a cause so he won't mind getting himself into some hot water" Nate feels confident that a tough-as-nails delinquent like Roughraff can take care of Sproink "Uh...sure daddyo" Roughraff however has a nervous look on his face. Nate looks off and sees Roughraff shower himself at the stalls "The rules say that you're supposed to shower off before getting in the pool." he then dumps the water on himself"Since when did you start following the rules Roughraff?"Nate is confused as this was out of character for the Yo-kai "Oh gotta get limber first!"Roughraff then begins to stretch his legs "Stretches?"Nate is even more confused now"Heh I'm all about mindfulness these days" Roughraff then sits crisis cross and gives himself a thoughtful look"If I didn't know better I'd say Roughraff is afraid of getting wet." That was something that surprised Nate as he didn't think that Roughraff would be afraid of water "Hey don't flip your wig! Just gimme some space will ya!" Roughraff did not take the accusation well even if it was the truth. He goes to the edge of the pool and gets in a position to dive in however he is shaking like a leaf "It's ok Roughraff you don't have to do it."Whoever said I couldn't do it is a stinking liar. You're breaking my concentration here! Quit eyeballing me!" Roughraff sits down looking as if he is trying to concentrate"What concentration? You're not doing anything." Nate however did not fall for the ruse "Don't push me, kid! I'm getting ready to rumble with this porker!" while Roughraff leans over the edge he starts to shake even more "Less talking more rumbling " Whisper then promptly pushes him into the water"Hey!" "Whisper!" are the cries Whisper gets from Roughraff and Nate for his action. After a second Roughraff bursts out of the pool "Too hot!" Nate is slightly surprised at how fast he got out before facing Whisper "Whisper what did you do that for?!" Whisper gives Nate a nonchalant shrug "When someone says don't push me what they actually mean is: Please push me. It's common knowledge." Roughraff was less than pleased"I outa give you a knuckle sandwich for a stunt like that!" all the noise ended up angering Sproink as he stood up "Grrr! keep it down, you cretins! I'm trying to enjoy a nice soak!" Sproink then proceeded to hit Whisper and Roughraff over the head hard knocking Roughraff out and leaving Whisper with a very large bump "I gotta say, I don't see you moving me any time soon."

Flashback

"That's right I've met lots of people through the years and have read of people from the past as well and the one thing I've learned is that human potential is infinite. You can do anything you can do anything you set your mind to as long as you believe in yourself."

Flashback End

'That's right...all this time I've been holding myself because over the years the more as time went by I started to believe in myself less and less. Well, no more!' Nate faces Sproink with a determined look "Hey Sproink you better get out now and leave before I make you pig face!" Whisper is shocked by this but Sproink is enraged "What did you call me don't get cocky kid your just a puny little human!" Sproink stands and faces Nate towering over him even in the pool. Nate however does not falter he takes out the item given to him by Takeru "I'm not gonna put myself down anymore! I'll believe in myself and fight with my friends!" he turns the dial and presses the button

"GHOST"

The Item glows before transforming into a belt and an orb that looks similar to an eye...the exact same ones Takeru used in his dream

"These are?"Nate immediately recognizes them. "Nate, what just happened!? What are you holding!? What's going on?!" Whisper screamed as he was shocked at what was happening. "I don't know myself but what I do know is that I will defeat Sproink!" Nate put the driver on his waist and a belt wrapped around him. He pressed the button on the side of the Eyecon then opened the driver and placed it inside before closing the Driver. Just like in his dream a black and orange hood with eyes emerged and floated around Nate.

~EYE~

~BACCHIRI MINAA~

Nate put his hand on the handle and pulled it after shouting

"HENSHIN!"

~KAIGAN!ORE!~

Nate is then covered in the same black armor as Takeru in the dream before the hood puts itself on Nate and lets it do so.

~LET'S GO!~

~KAKUGO!~

~GO GO GO! GHOST!~

~GO! GO! GO! GO!~

Nate then pulled back the hood he was wearing and showed he was wearing a mysterious black and orange armor that wore a hood with the same colors. the helmet was also orange with black eyes and had a silver horn on the forehead.

Sproink and Whisper are both confused and in shock that Nate has somehow transformed into this strange armor. "Hey, what's going on here?! Humans can't do that! Just who the hell Are you ?!" At his question, Nate felt a name burning in his soul and so with great confidence he said

"The names Ghost, Kamen Rider Ghost!!!"

(Play Warera Omou, Yue Ni Warera Ari)

Having just about enough Sproink tries to swipe at Ghost with one of his bath buckets but Ghost quickly dodges he goes for another but Ghost jumps over the swipe and begins to slightly float through the air. Ghost then goes on the offense and strikes Sproink tight in the gut causing Sproink to stagger but Ghost doesn't let up as he gives Sproink a knee kick to the chin causing Sproink to fall on his back. After Sproink quickly recovers his skin starts turning red with rage and charges at Ghost and wildly swings his bath buckets in a fit of rage. Ghost swiftly dodges all of his attacks enraging Sproink even further. "That's it you little pest say your prayers! SQUELING BOIL!!" Sproink then sucks in all the hot steam in the air through his nose before unleashing a torrent of flames at Ghost. However, instead of running away Ghost runs toward the Flames and jumps over before delivering a powerful kick to Sproink's face stopping his attack and completely disorientating him. "I may be human but my life is burning bright!" Ghost pulls the handle and Ghost does a couple of hand signs as a glowing orange symbol appears behind him. He pushes the handle back in and the Eyecon displays the image of a kick.

~DAI KAIGAN~

~ORE OMEGA DRIVE!~

Ghost jumps and then performs his Rider Kick on Sproink! The attack Is too powerful as disappears, defeated. Ghost had won knowing that Ghost canceled the transformation. Whisper rushes up to Nate with a look of pure awe and astonishment. "Amazing Nate! How on earth were you even able to do all that!" Nate gives Whisper a smirk "By believing in myself and a gift from an old friend." was Nate's cryptic answer. "Well, either way now you can enjoy the hot-HOLY GUACAMOLY!!" Whisper interrupts himself as he sees the water has been turned to lava. when they look to see the cause they see an old man by the faucet. "Hey isn't it too hot in there!" Nate screamed to the old man who gave Nate a confused look "Too hot? Pshaw, it's only just starting to get mildly heated." Whisper looks at Nate "Still want to try?" Nate looks back at the pool of lava. "Naw I'll just try the sauna." He and whisper then make their way to the sauna room. Despite not being able to soak in the hot spring Nate still felt great because while he may not know the full capabilities of the Ghost Driver and the Eyecons, he'll use them to protect his friends, human or Yo-kai, and stop any bad guy that comes his way with his Yo-kai friends by his side. One thing is for Sure, Nate's Adventure as Ghost has only just begun...

Meanwhile, elsewhere a young girl was riding her bike before noticing a cat snuggling with it's owner. the girl looks on in sadness before riding away while muttering

"A couple years later and I still miss you...Rudy."

AN: Hello everyone Dragon here, sorry it took me so long to get this posted I've had a lot of stuff to do at home. School, Chores, and the nearby arrival of my new baby cousin! So yeah a lot but I hope you guys enjoy this Chapter and I can't wait to post more. I've decided to only work on the three I have currently published before moving to others so you guys can get updates on stories quicker, therefore, I will only be working on "The Demon Realm's Final Hope", "A Beastman's Desire", and of course "Kaigan!Yo-Kai".
