The Heartache of the Night Before

Amanda and Lee had been quiet all evening. Dotty had roasted a chicken for dinner with string beans and mashed potatoes, normally a favorite. Both she and Lee pushed food around their plates but did not eat much. Dotty could see Amanda was clearly upset and could see that Lee apparently knew why, but neither was saying anything. Had they quarreled?

"I'm just really tired, Mother." Amanda said. "I've been really uncomfortable so I've had trouble sleeping."

"Well," Dotty said. "You know that usually happens during the third trimester. Fortunately, you only have a few more weeks until we see this little cherub."

"You mean until we start hearing crying all night." Phillip said.

"Phillip, be grateful for what you've been given." Amanda said tersely. "You are getting a baby sister. She's going to need you growing up." Lee reached over and touched her arm.

"Hey guys, would you mind helping your grandmother clean up tonight? I'm going to take your mom upstairs, okay?." The boys nodded, knowing their mother was visibly upset about something. Amanda stood up and took Lee's hand.

"Thanks, Fellas." Amanda said, walking with Lee up the stairs and into their bedroom. As soon as the door closed, Amanda collapsed in his arms, sobbing uncontrollably.

"I love you," she cried. "I need you here with me. I can't raise this baby without you."

"Amanda," Lee said, " you know I'm trained for this. I'm going to be alright. We've got backup from our teams and the CIA. We will get him tomorrow. I have way too much to live for, it took me this long to finally find peace in my life. There is no way I'm giving that up."

"Lee, make love to me tonight. I need to feel you with me. I know I'm the size of a house and not very sexy, but please." Amanda pleaded.

"Are you kidding?" Lee said, "you have life growing inside you. Nothing is more feminine and sensual than that." Lee moved in and pressed his lips to hers in a deep, passionate kiss. His tongue parted her lips and she accepted it conveying her need for him by softly moaning. When they were out of breath, they parted. "Let me lock the door." Lee said, stepping over, locking the door and crossing the room back to her. He took her face in his hands and kissed her deeply once again, pouring out all the love he had for her. He then lifted and removed her blouse and unhooked her bra to release her now much more ample bosom. He lightly caressed her breasts while looking into her eyes. "Never has anyone been so beautiful. I could get lost in those brown eyes." he whispered. They kissed again as Lee pushed off his shoes and parted with her long enough to pull off his shirt, tossing it on the floor.

Amanda pulled back a bit, as if self-conscious about her body. Lee let his hands travel down from her breasts over her belly and into the waistband of her pants, slowly pushing them down, with her underwear so she stood complete bare in front of him. Amanda unhooked his belt, pulling it free and dropping it with his shirt. She hesitated slightly with his pants, worried that the state of her body would not have excited him. He turned her to face the full length mirror on the wall, he stood behind her and she could feel his hardness in her back.

"Look how beautiful you are. He gently ran his hand over her belly. "Look what you're doing, you're giving out daughter life." He kissed her neck and gently caressed her, moving his hand downward, reaching down to her center. He lightly stroked her as she leaned back into him breathing heavily. "You have no idea the power you have over me. You always have, from the moment I met you I felt a shift in my world." Amanda took his hand and turned in his arms to remove his pants and boxers revealing his full erection.

"Make me yours," she said pulling him toward the bed. She directed him down on his back and climbed on the bed to straddle him. "I love you," Amanda said as she lowered herself on him, feeling him enter her with the fear she would never feel this again. Knowing that Brody would never stop hunting him, there was no other choice but for him to confront Brody. She rolled her hips feeling him deep inside her. "Amanda," he said, seeing tears streaming down her face. Being inside her brought him to new heights he never thought possible, but also safety, warmth and protection.
