Chapter 11
"What are you so worried about?" Plagg asked as he looked down at the black slime lump on the ground. He poked it as it flashed a sharp mouth of teeth that would put a shark to shame.
"I'll eat you if you if you poke me again," venom was about the same size as Plagg and so the deep voice didn't seem to have its intended effect.
"Try it I have no problems destroying you," Plagg grinned as his paw glowed a bit with green energy.
"Teach," Nino looked at him as he put together a sound amp ready to blast the pain in the neck if needed.
"Try it puffball, you wouldn't be my first god," Venom hissed back. Plagg pushed back as the two were now eye to eye only for Peter to scoop the symbiote up in a Jar.
"Haha some god fighter contained in a glass jar," Plagg mocked as he floated next to it making all kinds of childish faces.
"I can get out whenever I want," Venom growled as the two pressed up against the glass to glare at each other.
"You will unless you want to deal with this," Peter sat down the sonic blaster next to the glass as he refocused on the computer. "What are you doing here?" Peter glanced only for Venom to pancake itself remaining silent. "Whatever," Peter ignored the creature.
"So, this is probably not a fun question but what is that?" Nino locked eyes on the puddle.
"That would be Venom, an Alien life form called a symbiote though Parasite might be more accurate," he answered with a bit of venom of his own.
"I want to be a symbiote," Venom muttered as he slumped even more in his jar. An alert popped up as Peter looked into it.
"I think I found, Ladybug," Peter frowned when a portal suddenly cut into the room.
"I think this is the wrong universe," Wong said as two heads popped in.
"No, but you're on the right track I take it you got a lost bug in your universe," Peter stood up as the two wizards looked at him.
"Yeah, she is staying with a hero from our world," he explained as they all touched base.
"Well let's go," Nino stood up ready to go.
"She might not be in costume stay here I'll be right back. Don't touch anything and don't let him out of his jar, it won't kill him but trust me you don't want him making you his new host." He headed into the portal.
POV shift
The fake thief gave a wink at them as he ran across the hallway.
"Damn flirt," they both muttered as they both readied to move.
"Still he feels familiar," Marinette admitted, as Penny was already on her way to the edge of the skyscraper.
"He's a thrill seeker and intentionally drew my attention away from more important things." Penny dismissed.
"I have a cat in my universe he's my partner, he's probably worried about me, protecting Paris all by himself," that realization hit hard.
"Well Um, you might be okay time works differently in different universes a few days here could be a few seconds." Penny tried to help.
"Or months," Marinette realized as her city could be destroyed who knows how many times over.
However, before anything more could be said a massive explosion went off. "What in the world?" They both jumped up,
"I knew my night was going too well," Penny leaped off the building as Marinette followed. As they moved a massive lightning bolt cracked the sky. As the screams of New Yorkers erupted.
"Can Orb Weaver come out to play!" Shouted a gravely voice. Marinette frowned as five villains stood down the road. The first was a rock monster with a sharp rock sticking out of his head. He knocked a car out of the road.
Smoke drifted around them as a series of Claws dug into the ground as a man in black armor put himself forward. A woman in a green dress with lighting on it floated a bit above and behind him. The last one shifted between animals before turning human with a lion's mane vest and skin-tight pants.
"There should be one more," Penny spoke up.
"What," Marinette frowned five fully powered villains would a big enough issue.
"Mystery master, the guy with the black and white scheme he don't talk accident when he worked in Hollywood. Don't trust your senses he's a master of special effects and is rather well-trained in weapons. Kraven the preserver can transform into any animal even dead ones he likes to collect animals and unique individuals. Stonehead is a thug he's strong and durable not that bright. Weather Bolt is a failed weather woman she has control of the weather but her preferred attack is lightning. The last one I see is Dark Claw he's a failed mayor candidate and an accident fused his extra arms to his back he's a master swordsman and is usually the leader of the sinister six or five in this case."
"I take it they are full-time villains then and not under mind control or something?" Marinette asked,
"Well they could be mind controlled but no they just go to jail after I deal with them," Penny admitted as Marinette nodded and swallowed this felt different considering most people she fought were innocent people and they looked a little familiar.
"I'll follow your lead." She offered, as they both dropped down.
"An extra one it seems tried of swinging solo arachnid," Dark Claw dropped himself to his feet as the claws retraced and readied themselves.
"Well you know such a people person," Penny shrugged as Marinette watched a banner go by complaining about her being a menace
"Right," Marinette reminded herself that her double was not exact.
"Enough talk I want my impairment. Marinette didn't give him the time as she lassoed his legs and he quickly skidded to a halt.
Suddenly a mad cackling hit their ears. "No," Penny took a step back. As Marinette could see what looked like a moth glider?
Marinette just avoided a blast of lightning. Claws drew to a point as what looked like an army of ninjas suddenly appeared on the roofs and streetlights around her. "I could really use some backup right now," she swallowed as she fell back on Peter's training to keep moving. She kept on her feet deflecting blows and ignoring the cackling woman called Weather Bolt as she rained down lighting.
"Hardly a match for the spider but I have to admit you scurry around a lot little bug!" She taunted her as she raised up a hand.
"Be careful this little bug bites back," Marinette dodged one ninja, jumped over another and tripped up the third. she avoided the claws as they tried to pin her down as she studied the lightning thrower she quickly spotted the tell as white ball-like explosions peppered the roof as she spotted Penny being attacked by someone flying around above her.
"I didn't come here to fight a knockoff," Kraven frowned as he cracked his neck bone.
"Stick to the plan you fool," Dark Claw hissed however that moment of distraction was all she needed as he took the full blast of the lighting as his armor and arms fried.
"Ha serves you right as Marinette decided to bring out one of her new toys, she pulled off a shell-like object from her own utility belt and kicked Kraven into a street light before tossing it. the object grew eight limbs and clamped around him and the street light. Peter really had a mind for the themed gadget as she the villain tried to transform only for the legs to adjust to keep him pinned
"Do I have to do everything!" Storm Bolt complained as she refocused on her.
"Like this will hold me!" Kraven shouted as he shifted between some smaller animals before throwing caution to the wind and going full t-rex and breaking free. One of the Ninja phased through her as she started to understand the Mystery guy's stick. As she strung up about a dozen of them that were in fact real. "Lucky charm!" she called out as a pair of rubber gloves fell down. Stone head tried to grab her but the three villains still on their feet all blinked in confusion she slipped them on and flinched when a bolt of lightning hit her only to feel nothing as it dissipated thanks to the gloves. Stormy was out after the first punch, she strung her up with her yo-yo before dropping her on the ground. stone head charged her only for her to kick up the manhole at the last second and him to get stuck. she moved back as he struggled to grab her. Kraven stopped as he turned into his human form.
"Well?" she asked as she ignored the beeping in her ears.
"I really don't feel like going to jail, good luck guy," he turned into a bird and flew off as Stone head shook his fist and cursed him. Not sure if she should chase him down but how to contain him was an issue and her time was running low. Penny slammed into a nearby car caving it in as the final member of the group lowered to the ground. He had a dark purple cape and hood with a white mask on. He clapped slowly as Penny got up.
"I did warn you what would happen if you didn't take my offer," he chuckled,
"Yeah not interested in joining you," Penny's mask seemed to glare at the guy.
"Are you like really powerful cause unless you're the strongest hero there seems to be plenty of other heroes to get in the way," the white masked man glared at her his eyes shone with insanity as he clearly didn't appreciate her logic. He sent out a bunch of shark butterflies as the two heroines avoided the metal weapons.
"I need to recharge, I'll be back," Marinette told her as Penny glassed around,
"I think that's fa-air!" she webbed up the glider and was pulled off into the air. She watched as Penny ran diagonally up the building.
"Tikki spots off," she said when she was in the clear. "Tikki this is so weird not fighting an Akuma," she handed her a macaroon.
"Agreed but your holding your own very well, this universe gives me a weird itch thought," she admitted before digging in.
"Oh, your costume is different," the thief said as he dropped down. Tiiki hid behind her,
"What are you doing? Here to cause more trouble?" she glanced at him.
"No it's just well I have always been a bit of a fan," he admitted as she glanced away.
"You know she could probably use the help," Marinette pointed out,
"I get the feeling she doesn't like me, not many people do," He admitted quietly but she still caught it.
"Your annoying, but my partner back home is as well but without him my work would be a lot harder," she told him when suddenly something white shot into the building the building shattered on impact but the white building seemed to vanish. "Tikki spots on," she spotted the thief first as the rubble fell around them she lassoed him and realized he was out cold and his hair was a wig. She pulled it on properly and quickly realized he wasn't the only one falling. Time slowed as she tried to find the best way to deal with the issue.
POV shift
"My ears!" Nino cursed as he tried to figure out exactly what was going on
"Press that button, no that one," Plagg tried to help,
"Don't hit that, wrong one, this isn't a toy," Venom warned as quickly as each time Nino and Plagg tried to figure out what was wrong.
Alert: Time-space breach failed timeline entity known as Chat Black as shot through multiple alternate universe collisions with universe 2099
"Oh no, come on it's just a giant computer." Nino told himself "wait system bring up universe 2098," he ordered as a screen popped up.
"That looks like Peter's costume," he was being chased by a female Hawkmoth.
"Universe 2098..." the computer rattled off as The spider man was grabbed his mask torn as he kicked free.
"Adrian!" He shouted as Plagg zipped around as Venom perked up a bit.
"Who is Adrian?" He asked
"My friend!" Nino answered as he went to the portal
"He seems to be doing okay," Venom pointed out as Nino's shout vanished in his throat.
"Yeah but Chat Blanc!" He freaked out,
"Who?" Plagg asked as he looked at Nino.
POV shift
"I have no idea who you are," Hawkmoth frowned, "but you remind me," the villain squinted as the mask reformed around his face and the female Hawkmoth squinted at him.
"What did you expect some great revelation?" Adrian mocked as he shot a blast of webbing into the face. "Okay what is next I can't just hide in a crowd now."
"You could hide with the holo technology." Scarlet reminded, "However hiding to well could be an issue." she counter pointed herself.
Adrian got around only to run into "Le Chat Noir!" he realized as he shook his head.
"Who's side are you what is going on?" She blurted out, only for Scarab to tackle Miracle queen to the ground as he found himself back at the beginning
"Hello handsome," she grinned at him as the two tangled.
"I am just helping this is damaged and needs to be repaired she saw my face so regardless I kinda need your help." He quickly explained as he flipped over the cane.
"Okay," she launched herself forward as Adrian quickly got everything as he intentionally did everything to avoid looking at her.
"Here!" Hidetoshi tossed him his belt as he strapped it over his shoulder.
"got it here!" He tossed the peacock at Scarab only for something white to hit him and the universe seemed to shatter around him. The shocked expressions
seemed to splinter and Multiply as if reality itself had suddenly taken a hit and was now breaking around him.
POV shift
"What do you mean he moved him? Quick open a portal something, Adrian!" He screamed at the computer, "Peter where are you?!" Nino grabbed his head as he tried to figure out what to do as his friend more and more lost in the multiverse.
POV shift
"Peter we don't have time for this," Peter glanced over at the Parker house as a familiar old lady cleaned up the kitchen.
"I know," he took a deep breath and got moving. An explosion went off,
"Ten bucks says the kids are getting into trouble," Fu brought up,
"I would bet money on it," Peter shot off towards the city it looked different but he still knew it like he never left. A glider and a figure were exploding above the buildings. Pushing back his own memories as he readied for a fight with him if possible.
He knew himself well enough to," his eyes focused on something that his well-trained eye would always focus on. An old man was already moving a building really exploded something white but that wasn't important. "Captain Stacy," he remembered the old cop had died saving a child. "Never again," he blitzed the ruble he was there at the child before the old man was and the man was shocked when he was grabbed. His sense was screaming to move but he could tell he was out of time.
"Not on my watch," Ladybug shouted as the shattered building was further reduced.
"How?" He thought as the yo-yo had made a massive tangle that damn thing had to be telepathic to a level like strange's cape to pull this stuff.
A spider smashed into the ground as the cop escorted the kid away.
"Even with the extra help you're still little more than an insect," the purple-cloaked figure mocked over the whine of his glider.
"Arachnid," both Peter and the costumed figure said at the same time. The figure jumped off the car her costume only had cosmetic damage for all the blister this totem wasn't a slouch in durability.
"And who are you?" The figure asked,
"If you knew who you would make yourself scarce," Peter threatened
"Oh please, I am not as ignorant as I seem," suddenly a shot sounded. "You see the problem is you never know when some maniac might know exactly who he is dealing with."
The bullet dropped only for it to ring out as everyone realized they couldn't move fast enough.
POV shift
Marinette could already see the suit finished forming however it was quickly deteriorating even before both she and Penny tackled the man of the glider. This man was even more insane than Hawkmoth.
"Where is Fu?" She glanced around only to see the man frozen in some shell-like orb object creating something to hold him.
"In a city infested with heroes did you really think I didn't have something ready for some medaling magician, Haha!" He laughed even as Penny punched him in the jaw.
The three tangled as everyone fell to a rooftop as she dropped back as used her yo-yo to intercept the thrown weapons.
"You are annoying me, plus one," he shouted as he tore his arm free of the webbing and grabbed Marinette by her arm tossing her off. She lassoed the glider and ran across the building as he went even higher pulling her along.
POV shift
"I need to help!" Nino moved only for an alarm to pop off.
"Peter Parker of universe 194 critical injury," the computer warned
"You can't help both send me to one kid," venom brought up as he banged against his jar.
"I can help Adrian go help the old man." Plagg insisted,
"How?" Adrian asked only Venom for Venom to cut the idea off.
"You're a creature that embodies a concept you can't have two in one universe house in an object would give you some leeway but going in might just erase you from existence. Send me it wouldn't be the first blonde I helped." He insisted as he fought against the jar.
"But Peter,"
"Won't trust me to save him we don't mix well," he admitted as he slowed his escape. "Take your time I am sure they have plenty," he reminded.
"That makes you sound real trustworthy you know that!" Nino shouted as he was even more worried.
POV shift
Adrian was getting all kinds of eyefuls, he saw universes and crashed into colors he had never seen before he hit a floor, and kicked the thing that had hit him only for it to retaliate in kind as he was smashed into a desk he was slid across it only to not hit the wall and keep going into another universe. He pulled himself free and tackled the person in white as he suddenly crashed into a road he saw what looked like himself and a light blue Olympic roller skater. He took a punch to the gut that doubled him up as he hit bricks the time changed as he hit the ground he saw a blonde Scarlet Scarab but this time he wasn't distracted the white Cat came at him with glowing Claws and he quickly landed a punch to the liver breaking the consideration and stopping the energy from flowing. An explosion went off only to realize the white cat was the one who had gotten tagged by something he tackled the guy only to just phase through him. The road gave out as the two crashed into a classroom with a lot of familiar faces. He noticed Blanc seemed even more unstable as he seemed to change everything and even looked like a dark-haired female instead of himself.
"Cousin Felix?" said this reality's Adrian Agrest,
"Oh no you don't," Adrian shoulder-checked the confusing ghost just it focused on Marinette as the two shattered the school window and fell out. He just kept falling as he grappled the figure. He crashed into a plane as Adrian dropped down as a group of about eight or so adults all seemed to stop to look at him "Rough day," he said
"On your left!" shouted Wednesday as he shot a web blindly blinding the cat as he collided with each other he planted both feet and kicked the copy off he shot across the airfield he quickly tossed spare rocks dissipating any balls He was thrown for another loop as one costume looked very familiar costume. "Mr. Parker?" he got out only for Wednesday to take over the suit and pulled him out of a swipe to his face.
"Focus Agreste," Blurry scolded as Adrian was suddenly grabbed by some red-skinned guy in a gold cap.
"Vision the white is corrupted destruction he can kill with a touch!" Wednesday shouted in English as Vision recalled from grabbing the other Vision released Adrian as he dove at the white version of himself but rather than hitting the ground he off into the sky he was no idea where he was at this point as a man in a red and blue suit with an S on it blinked in confusion as the vanished into another reality.
"Give me your miraculous," a white blue-eyed version of himself glared at him. But even worse was the Paris around him looked trampled as three massive spiked creatures ran around with weird powers.
"I don't think I have the one you're looking for," Adrian pointed out as he tried to fight off the dizzy spell that hit him during the last fall, only for the white Cat to run past headings for what looked like a tower and a group standing on it maybe he didn't have a good view.
He shot the webs out and both shots hit as he pulled him back. "Back off whoever you are," Adrian glared as he pushed his concerns to the back of his head. Bright light Blue balls of destruction flew at him. "Can I do that?" He marveled as he quickly leaped and spun out of the way as he aimed his hand and swung off.
"Get back here Agreste!" The phantom Chat raged at him.
The building was hit as the web went slack he crashed into the ground as his suit took the damage. He deflated a punch to the head that all but caved in a car door. He flipped as the door was ripped off its hinges and he only had a second to twist out of the way of it being thrown at him and then bend out of the way of the staff.
"What is going on here?" Asked a guy in a turtle costume leaped down near him.
"Multiverse trust me this, isn't, the weirdest thing too, happen today!" He explained between dodged attacks before he grabbed the pole and disconcerted the side that didn't change length. He deflected a few orbs thankful the staff held up only for the bastard to aim at the turtle guy. He intercepted deflecting the balls only to get hit with one of the small balls.
"Oh no!" They both said only for the suit to dislodge itself talking the hit however it exposed his clothes underneath.
"Adrian?" He recognized as he deflect three more balls back at the attacker.
"Chat Blanc?" Ladybug recognized the attacker.
"Give me your miraculous!" Chat Blanc shouted as his hand glowed.
"No!" Adrian the only one not shocked by all the reveals shoulder checked her out of the way and took the hit. The costume fell apart revealing himself to everyone.
"Cataclysm," Blanc touched him as he just managed to get to his feet.
"Adrian?" Ladybug looked horrified her wide eyes tearing up however he didn't feel any pain.
"Don't worry not your Adrian," he smiled as his hand slowly cracked and blackened. Chat Blanc seemed shocked to see what was happening as he seemed to flicker as if suddenly fazing out of existence.
"Miraculous!" Blanc refocused only to get an elbow to the face he may have been falling apart but he wasn't going to stop now.
"Well, I got nothing to lose at this point as he didn't bother dodging taking a few more hits as the fight turned into a slugfest as his suit and body crumbled as he tried to understand how and why he was still even alive at this point.
"Adrian!" Someone shouted but he ignored it.
"Multiverse!" He shouted back at her as everyone else tried to jump in only for everyone to get blasted back by an explosion of force from Chat Blanc. "Why am I holding up so well?" He wondered for a second.
"It's his bell!" Ladybug shouted only for a giant foot to intercept and just miss her. and Blanc charged.
His foot connected with his head only to get the second ball of energy losing his leg as he fell to the ground he shot a web blast connecting with his eyes blinding him. "I'll be fine save Paris!" He shouted tears in her eyes as she looked at him and then left him on the road.
"Well not how I expected this to end," he thought you know he figured he would be more upset at all this, as his hand crumbled only to get hit by something soft. "What?" He was confused as to what had hit his head.
"This is bad you should have used me," Blurry floated above him as he tossed the two miraculous to the side.
"I am not risking you like that," he could see the fight was still going as Chat Blanc moved to the defensive. Ladybug was clearly upset if her screaming was anything to go by.
A guy in a dog suit knelt down next to him. "That was stupid," he frowned he looked familiar.
"You me from this universe?" Adrian asked not sure as he made sure he didn't notice the miraculous just in case.
"Stop talking so much," said a voice as he felt a weird phantom sensation.
"You say something?" he asked
"No, and yeah I think so," he looked down at him however something felt off in that answer like dog boy was lying.
"Any regrets?" Dog boy asked as he stood over him
"Yeah should have texted cousin Felix, No should have just left to go to my uncle's funeral, spent more time with friends, and maybe reconnect with my dad but that's more a wish." He felt his hand which was weird that should be gone.
"Hm," he grunted as the figure seemed unwilling to look him in the eye.
"multiverse and all but your not me." He realized the lack of response sealed the deal on that.
"Hmm," the dog boy grunted again and just left him on the street as one of the giants stomped around. Then he was suddenly dragged off by someone.
"You okay Adrian?" Said a voice with nobody however he could still hear the tell tail signs of movement.
"Could be worse," he responded which got a small laugh.
"This is bad Ladybug is freaking out," she paused properly to see her friend.
"Sorry about him I was just finishing up a fight when he suddenly hit me, we actually bounced around a few universes before we stopped here."
"Really?" The female-sounding voice sounded very interested, "Just like a comic book?" he nodded as he let out a brief cough.
"Yeah I was a girl and I think Marinette was a guy and Gay, that was weird." He got dropped after that. "Owe," he touched his head. "Hey I got my arm back," he realized as a black second skin had crawled over most of his body.
"What in the world?" asked the voice who was now leaning over his shoulder now that he sat up.
"That would be me," a bump appeared on his shoulder with white eyes. "I am Venom Nino sent me since you were dying, you're as bad as Parker." Adrian stood up as the invisible helper vanished, even more so.
He was stunned when he still had web shooters. Memories flashed as Peter was just as surprised however the perspective was weird. It was like he was Mr. Parker. He webbed up the ring and belt for the suit to stick itself and pull them on. He even felt the ring slide onto his finger.
He launched himself forward decking Chat Blanc who was cornering this universe's Ladybug. "I'll handle him deal with the big guys," he spared her a glance as he felt a mask cover his face.
Chat Blanc blasted away at him but everything looked slower and a familiar stronger sensation spiked as the balls got closer.
"That's weird, you have the, never mind," Venom dismissed. He twisted to avoid a punch from the spiky thing.
"How?" Chat Noir looked at him not sure who he was talking to.
"This is so weird," Adrian thought as he avoided the punches aimed at the back of his head.
"Agreed," Chat Noir said to Adrian who was now worried this universe had telepaths.
"Fine," Chat Blanc created a massive ball of destructive blue energy. "If you're getting in my way!"
"That's not good," they both said at the same time. Adrian grabbed the staff graced it with his palm and shot it at the bell. Blanc defected it a flash of concern on his face. Adrian ignored the look of surprise at the move. Everyone was shocked as he closed in Blanc deflected the blows as His hand moved around up and down it was almost something out of a martial arts movie. The two locked hands as Blanc smirked only to get a knee to the gut and a head butt to put him on the ground.
"No," he raised his hands but his foot went right through him the bell intact.
"You got to be kidding me is it a ghost?" Chair Noir asked.
"Yeah like a ghost of Christmas future or something," Adrian joked as he flipped away from the sweep from Blanc who seemed to be solid again.
"Don't be still keep moving!" Adrian shouted at two heroes kneeling in the middle of the road. The two Chats hit staff to staff as he webbed up the legs of one of the giants.
"Don't!" Ladybug shouted as he pulled back however nothing changed. The two looked confused. "Never mind web the thing up!" She encouraged.
"I miss my staff," he thought to himself as he shot a web at Chat Blanc who was seeing red or something cause he was now hell-bent on getting him. "This is bad," he spotted a familiar figure leaping towards them.
"I hate you, Adrian," his blue eyes flickered red as his body seemed to be fading even more and faster.
"This is way too much" Adrian was suddenly shocked as Venom kept off part of his arm and grabbed onto Chat Blanc he heard the crack of the bell breaking. A bit of relief finally as he grabbed his double
"Give him the belt quickly cover his face but let him breathe." Venom spoke up as the black mass quickly covered up the figure one transformation shattered and the second started to fade.
"Repeat after me Blurry eyes open!" He ordered as he wrapped the belt around him. At the last second, the costume formed and Chat was now "did I ever name this identity?" He wondered,
"What is going on?" Said the former Chat Blanc as he held his head and gently set the guy down.
"She was right," Chat Noir realized his expression was hard to read.
"She may have adventures you don't see, I just got tossed around a few realities and I am not home yet." He let the mask fall a bit to let Chat Noir and Adrian be seen together. He shot a glare at Hawkmoth or whatever he was called here he looked weird in this universe The guy probably moved into the area to see what was going on with Chat Blanc.
"Yeah you look like a dad for a second," said the one who faded a bit.
"Okay, you need a name 'cause that's a Miraculous I am not familiar with that." Chat Noir.
"Call me Twin, I guess I don't I wait yeah Twin works with this." He held his head.
"We should probably help with that," Adrian glanced at the giants running around,
"The Portal shouldn't remain open and neither of you has a device to activate one," Venom popped out of his shoulder as the other two stepped back.
"There is a portal, well good luck I guess." Adrian didn't like the idea of Hawkmoth being able to hop around. "Here, it's USB with hero tips, me and Twin here should probably go," Adrian let the mask slip over his head.
"Right thanks," he forced a smile only to get pulled into a hug.
"Good luck," he rejoined his team. The two hesitated but didn't want to be trapped and Adrian wasn't sure how the portal would handle mixing with the swarm. So when they got back he quickly shut it off just before the waves touched. He sighed as he realized he was in his normal clothes.
"Adrian!" Plagg cried out as he got a very big hug from a very small cat. "I was so worried, I am so sorry this is all my fault," and his words just kind of vomited out as he realized he didn't have his case of cheese only for Twin to pull out his own. Twin was very quiet Adrian turned to look at him as Plagg looked between them only distracted from his cheese for a second.
"So what got you Akumatized," he asked his Twin as that was one thing he wanted to avoid however suddenly the fading that had happened took a leg as Twin fell to the floor and even Blurry's costume started to faze.
Pov Shift
"Mend!" Nino shouted as the wounds slowly sealed up Peter who took a deep breath.
"I am going to kill him I am so many levels of done," Peter raged as he stood up.
"Adrian is in trouble the Venom he told me he could help I am so sorry, I didn't know what the right decision was," NIno forced his eyes to shoot as he waited for the inevitable stripping of his miraculous.
"Help Ladybug then," he sprinted off as Nino marveled he couldn't believe how fast the teacher was as he was just short of a blur of speed.
"Right," he watched as the purple-cloaked figure got tossed off his glider and onto the ground. "I feel really helpful," he thought to himself." Only for the sound of electricity to be his only warning.
"Another one I hate Spiders!" The woman raged at him.
"Well I wanted to help," he remind himself as he dodged the bolts of lightning the lightning might but she was telegraphing her attacks so well that he had more than enough time.
He leaped over Avoiding a blast mid-strike as he turned to aim at her feet only to see the spider girl and Ladybug drop down.
"Curse you, Orb Weaver!" Cried out the glider guy as it smoked away.
"Uh," the lighting lady turned to look at all three of them. "I would like to go to jail now," she smiled nervously.
"Someone get some butter!" Said a guy struggling to get out of the sewer.
"Adrian," he remembered as he took off as Ladybug made a small cry.
"It's so weird are you sure are shouldn't chase him down?" Ladybug frowned,
"No it's a waste of time, I'll get him next time. You were incredible by the way both of you," Nino felt a faint smile pull
"I really didn't do much," Nino rubbed the back of his neck Ladybug did most of the work.
"However even if it was a good idea it would be best to get you both home. "Thank you Orb weaver for helping with all this." A rather short man said.
"No problem follow him he'll get you home." She said she swung off rather abruptly.
"Adrian, come on we need to move," Nino brought up as Ladybug seemed to realize there was trouble just from his panic.
He booked it sure Mr. Parker would be able to more than anyone but still he berated himself for forgetting as a portal shot up in front of both of them and they both fell into a room Adrian's smile treated them only to look down at someone using Blurry laying on the floor slowly fading from sight.
"This isn't something I can really do much about," Peter frowned as he glanced at Adrian who looked devastated at the idea
"Beep" when his glasses as he reverts to his normal appearance.
"Nino?" Ladybug blinked at him as Silkk breathed in as Nino realized he didn't put his backup mask on he had it on to start but when he rushed off to help Peter he didn't put it back on.
"I couldn't hold it any, longer," she apologized, as Nino smiled at Ladybug as he held up a cherry drop.
"Hi," he greeted,
"Why him?" Ladybug looked at Peter,
"Ask Chat, I just live here," He shrugged at the question.
"Very helpful," Adrian glared at him,
"Wait how is blurry here?" Nino asked as he re-transformed.
"I was," Adrian emphasized "being trained to help," he looked at Nino as Nino realized he was really bad at the secret part of the secret identity.
"Sorry I was distracted," Peter grabbed the device clearly playing dumb.
"Mend," Nino ordered as he couldn't look Peter in the eye.
"Well he's stable," Peter pulled out a device and looked over the figure before he picked up the limp body.
"I'm, he was from a fading universe should we have let him, fade?" Nino winced a bit as he didn't want to look at the teacher.
"Never regret saving a life I'll handle him, for now, we need to go home." the portal opened up as he wondered,
"Where is?" Nino felt a handdom his shoulder,
"It's all good, let's go," Nino was shoved forward. "What about Venom?" he looked at Adrian that stopped everything dead.
"Right," Peter slowly turned as Ladybug jumped in front of Adrian clearly picking up on the temperature drop.
"I think my clothes might be torn up," Adrian pointed out.
"Right, just like with Eddie when he had cancer," Peter growled.
"What?" Ladybug blurted out as Nino,
"What did I just unleash on my best friend?"
"I don't, oh you were telling the truth, okay,"
"You both need to go,"
"But," Ladybug protested only for her and Adrian to get picked up.
"Portal now!" he ordered as Nino stepped out only for the school room to have an orange glow around the classroom.
"He helped me without him Blanc would have killed me." Peter pulled in the extra they brought home.
"Ladybug, hold still," Peter sat Blanc down in the chair as he pulled out a wand. He slowly waved the device over everyone.
"Um," Nino asked as static came from the wand. It illuminated blue as it covered you.
"Clean, go get him some new clothes the sooner the better." he hesitated as he took a step to leave.
"What is Venom?" he asked as he looked at Adrian's outfit seem to shiver a bit.
"I'll explain later, now is not the time, as a teacher and a mentor I need you to move," he put his foot down as Ladybug moved to take off she hesitated "Of now," Peter ordered as Venom did so leaving Adrian in very little as Peter took off his shirt tossed it over him.
"I didn't do anything I just wanted to help," Venom defended as it sat on the desk.
"I'll get Adrian his clothes," Ladybug brought up before she took off, Peter took Off his shirt and pulled it over Adrian as he held out a hand and the little blob pulled off of Adrian and pooled in his hand.
Nino has torn Peter was more short and angry but the creature saved his friend he broke so many things and he was confident that he had burned out all the trust he had. He took off the glasses as he looked at them a lump formed in his throat.
"Scarlet playback at three times speed," he glanced up to see a weird video feed with horrible angles kept getting swung around.
"You were recording me?" Adrian asked as he looked at the screen dropped in the shirt.
"She is a computer, she only retains so much, and she only saves data when you activate the suit think of it like a black box.
"Not sure how feel about that," Nino spoke up
"Well, you can give it back, ask her to delete it or destroy the device if you are that worried." Peter glanced up for a second. "Nino," he looked him in the eye.
"Yes Sir," he was already handing over the glasses only for Peter to push them back.
"You made the best move you could have. As much as I don't trust venom. You made the right move," he sounded like the administration itself hurt. Peter stood up to scan both of them. Then the room,
"Silkk webs out, so what are you looking for?" he asked as Adrian stood around with the oversized button-up shirt.
"Anything, an old enemy of mine once took over a friend's body using technology so I am making sure there were no body-swapping shenanigans you don't know real helplessness until you are trapped in your own body," he explained as he did a system check on his computer.
Nino shared a look with Adrian who looked equally scared. "So can you guys not tell Chat?" he asked as Peter paused
"Sure," Peter returned to his work however Peter gave him a look.
"I am back," Ladybug announced as she tripped over something. "Hi, Adrian, um, here you look good, cold," she handed over his clothes.
Pov slight shift
"Don't look Marinette," she repeated to herself as her eyes kept glancing. "Dang it," she closed her eyes.
Pov shift back
"Thanks," he walked away as Peter pointed at the door.
"Ladybug," Peter pointed at the door again. As she lurched for the door.
Adrian tossed over a rag only for Nino to realize it was part of a shirt the upper third of a shirt. Adrian walked in as both he and Peter seemed to share a thought. "Just how close to death is he just smiling off."
"What have you done!" came a shout at first Nino thought only to see a man in blue with a red cape erupt into the room.
"I got everyone back alive," Peter stood up.
"The move you made just ripped a part of a reality that was in the process of ceasing to exist and then had it mended. The amount of damage you could have done if so much as a thread was out of place!"
"I knew what I was doing," Peter spoke up as Nino noticed the man tense up.
"Peter when I opened this door for you I had hoped you would be smarter." he continued, he glanced at Ladybug and Adrian however while Adrian was unusually quiet.
"All part of the process I should have kept a better look on things I am sorry Doctor Strange. I was unsure of the ramifications I just," he glanced at the Chat on the chair.
"I," Strange seemed to burn out as he spotted the kid as well.
"I can't be mad at you for being you, just don't pull a stunt like this again." he frowned, "you have no idea the danger that was nearly unleashed." he sighed as they both noticed something.
A portal opened up and the man walked away. They didn't have a second when a horn honked and nearly everyone jumped. "That's probably my ride, but what's going to happen to Venom?"
"No idea, talk to me later for now I need to figure out a few things. All of you need some time to relax and try to come to terms with everything you know where I am if you need to talk." he took a deep breath as he put his shirt back on.
Adrian spared them a glance before he took off. "That was insane, I hope never leave my reality ever again." Nino sighed as slumped into a chair.
"I think I need to talk to Chat about him he might get confused with a double running around." Ladybug brought up, he still felt his chest curl up inside as he wondered if it had been the best move to do what he did.
"I'll handle it but if you must let him know in person and give him a heads up that it's crazy." Peter sighed and with that Nino took off into the night.
Pov shift
Peter watched Nino and Marinette vanish as he turned around he grabbed the time-displaced boy and swatted away the gliff as the suit vanished leaving Adrian behind.
"That was unpleasant I almost recalled to my belt." BLurry frowned.
"Ah!" TD(1) Adrian sat up as he felt his body and looked around. "Who are, what's going on where am I?"
"How much do you remember?" Peter sat down cross-legged as he poured all his sympathy into his voice.
"I remember a splitting headache," TD Adrian blinked in confusion as Peter watched him try to think.
"Do you remember me?" Plagg asked as Peter watched as the ring around his finger cracked into dust.
"Kinda? I know I lost something, everything is faded and fuzzy. I almost killed myself?" he frowned as he seemed to struggle with recent events
"Messing with time while in a stable mindset is difficult. However, Nino and I couldn't just let you fade into nothing. However, that creates an issue as there already is an Adrian Agrete."
"Ah," TD answered as Peter couldn't read him. "So what does that mean for me?" he asked,
"Well, you can stay with me, for now,"
"Right that happened to you it feels like my life but not?" TD was struggling to find words. "Can I say goodbye to everyone?"
"The best way to do that is to make some changes," Peter grabbed a cap and placed it on his head.
"What about me," Venom and Plagg spoke up.
"You need to go, he doesn't have a ring as for you so best head home as for you, I am giving you a chance," he offered a hand he felt more energetic. Venom rested on his hand as he offered it to TD Adrian.
He didn't hesitate the next second it was like looking into the past in more ways than one. Peter grabbed a broom and collected the dust from the shattered wring TD gave him a weird look as Peter collected the dust in a bag/
"so now what?" TD spoke up.
"We go shopping," he smiled the night was. Peter took the time to probe questions it seemed his memories lined up he remembered all the way until the portal then he woke up being escorted away from a battle with three giant creatures. Between these two things he had a vague sense of time and emotions they headed around the block to the Faleica mansion, he seemed to shiver at the sight of his old phone.
A bit long he was thankful that Felicia had a back for going crazy with her furnishing since he wouldn't be up into the night getting a mattress and spare bedding.
"It's weird, seeing it like this." TD was brought up as they entered the Cat's mansion.
"Imagine not having any help working up and seeing someone living your life, you have a support system of people who know and can help," Peter said as he thought of his clone building a life with nothing would be a herculean effort.
"Hair dye?" he pulled out,
"I couldn't pick a color for you it would help to remember Nino knows there is a second Cat running around."
"Fair it's weird with that being me." Adrian looked at his hand as Venom dropped onto the counter.
"I got more than one of me running around as it is," Peter nodded as Adrian glanced at him in confusion.
He stepped out chose a brown color and even got his eyebrows. "This feels so weird my dad would have killed me," TD Adrian glared hard before shaking his head.
"Well, you're going to need a new name I recommend maiden names something that will mean something.
"Can I think about it," he asked,
"Okay, you got a week normally I would advise against it but if you don't have a direction by then I am just going to adopt you, and you're stuck with me as your dad for about three years at least."
"You'd do that?" Adrian asked as he looked at him wide-eyed Peter felt a bit insulted he was already responsible for this situation what did the kid think he was going to do?
"Well, you don't really have a lot of options but I don't like the idea of removing your choice in the matter so if you have a preference." Peter knew well Adrian didn't have much choice
TD nodded as he walked off Peter glanced at Blurry. "Keep an eye on him I don't know if what happened to him has fully set in." Peter picked up his phone.
"Something up your calling really late." Felicia answered, "what's up Spider,"
"Well, how would you feel if we had a kid?" he might be a bit mean with that phrasing.
"I am not sure I am qualified considering but go on," she sounded way too okay with this situation.
"You might want to sit down for this one," he took a deep breath and quickly gave her the cliff notes.
"Peter how do you continue getting into these problems?" she asked one explanation later "I am on my way."
"You have the time it's not time sensative, I didn't even finish." Peter realized.
"Way ahead of you," she sighed as she hung up on the phone.
Peter held the phone as he looked at the screen. He use to have a photo of his family. He put it to a landscape but he could still see the smiling faces they felt accusing. Part of him a larger part of him was happy to be a parent again. "You wanted this you should know better." the guilt growled at him. He put his phone away he needed some sleep.
"Professor!" Adrian all but shouted at him as he nearly spilled his coffee. He looked at the blonde.
"Yes?" he glanced at him.
"What's up with my twin?" he asked
"He's fine he remembers everything up to the portal. He is a complete copy. I am going to talk to Felicia and give him some time to craft his own identity.
"But Nino, he looks like me." Adrian remained only for Peter to pull out his phone. Brown hair, Blue eyes, white shirt, brown jacket, and Blue jeans and sneakers. Adrian looked at him.
"Nothing too crazy but I don't think anyone would look twice at him."
"You work fast," Adrian marveled, as he put the phone away.
"I had one heck of a saga with copies trust me, I am responsible for this mess it would be poor form not to help. Anyway, class is getting ready." He nodded to the door as Adrian headed to class.
POV shift
"Ahhhhhhhhhh!" Gabriel tossed the things of his desk. He had seethed all night. "He's toying with me." He clenched his fists as he rested them on the empty desk. "He could end this whenever he wants, he's toying with using me to build up those brats. He trained them to the point that I couldn't even run the clock out on them. New toys and gear it would take me years, and worse my campaign to Akumatize him has done nothing thousands wasted." He hit his desk and now in pain, he needed a solution.
"Maybe something different," he smiled, "yes that's it I know exactly what to do. I just need the right feeling." He smiled. He made sure the pesky teacher was out of sight and found a new location. He could feel the emotions around him,
"Mommy I had a nightmare," said a small terrified voice.
"Perfect," he smiled, Now let's see what terrifies the old guard." He chuckled to himself. Even before he could enact his plan he could almost hear a fain evil laugh.
Tails of the multiverse
Adrian Arc Osborn son of the CEO of oscorp. He found himself back at school. He would rather be back out in the city doing his thing. Breaking in and being paid for it was so much fun and a nice little thing he could tease his grandpa about who thankfully was going to be hanging out with him.
He was currently looking around his high school. "Looking for something?" Said a cool voice. He glanced over to see Penny. He never thought much of her a mousy girl with no confidence and a head for science someone his dad would love to have work for him.
"Marinette," he answered "Flash was giving her trouble,"
"Oh, you finally decided to play the hero or something?" She sniffed,
"I don't help people that don't stand up for themselves. She did, and just because I don't like to play the hero doesn't mean I can't." He put his hand on the wall and leaned over her.
"Just because I put with flash doesn't mean I can't stand up for myself." She raised herself on her toes. "If I fight back would probably hurt him." She dropped back down.
"Right." He didn't believe her but there was something about her fierceness that reminded him of someone.
"There you are," said a familiar old voice.
"Grampa Stacy!" He was so excited he forgot where was.
"You're not teasing the poor girl are you?" The old man chuckled a bit as he felt his face flush as Penny gave a slight smirk.
"I am Penny Parker pleased to meet you he was just worried about a distant relative who visited." She shook his hand.
"That's my grandson in spite of it all he's a good kid. Even if he doesn't like to advertise it." He got his hair ruffled as Penny's eyes twinkled but she seemed more playful.
His father beat it into him that because of who he was everyone was after something. His money, his name, or his connections he had always done a good job he was everything his father wanted however he never seemed to have time.
"Grandpa," he put up a complaint however Penny just smiled now as if she was seeing something he didn't.
"Well now that we are done teasing him, come on son," Grandpa Stacy pushed him along. He glanced back and he couldn't stop himself.
"Here," he pulled out a clean tissue as Penny realized she had been crying.
"Thanks," she took it"your still a jerk," she looked at him.
"Yeah," then it clicked, he looked at his Grampa and silently ask for his help. He nodded as Adrian turned back around.
"You want to come we are going out for burgers," he offered, "as friends?"
"Sure," she agreed as his Grampa started talking
"You wouldn't believe what happened yesterday. I was out on patrol, and there was a fight, you know that girl you have as your phone background. She was fighting that Goblin guy," he went on but Adrian quickly went red again as Penny raised an eyebrow at him.
"You're a fan huh?" She had this gremlin look to her now and he had a feeling he was going to be dealing with it a lot.
"Your one to talk to Grandpa you used to complain about her," he had needle the old man back at this point.
"I'll admit when I am wrong I don't appreciate vigilantism but I don't know what the old girl would do without her."
"He calls the city the old girl he thinks he's in a noir flick just play along, he's a retired detective." He whispered to Penny.
"What an odd combination of a cop and a CEO." Penny looked at him.
"I wonder that myself Miss Parker, I was a captain thank you," Grandpa reminded him. "You also might want to tell your folks what's going on."
"I usually do photography for the daily bugle, so my Aunt won't mind."
"Wait you take the pictures of Orb weaver?" Adrian asked as his
"Your in trouble now girl," Grandpa laughed as Adrian sulked back into his seat.
"You want a few pictures,"
"You might want to sell to someone else though I don't appreciate that man's smear campaign."
"They are the only ones willing to pay me," she admitted, "trust me I have complained."
"Well he must be blind she's the best superhero in New York." Adrian sniffed as he almost missed the fond expression on Penny's face.
"Really, that's a bold statement to make considering," his Grandpa chuckled. "Okay, I know an un-winnable battle when I see it."
POV shift
It was like seeing a completely different person the cold rich loner was now alive and cheerful. She would have webbed up and laughed at anyone who said Adrian Osborn was anything like this. It felt weird being dragged along and everything but a chance at a free burger was not one she could pass up and watching every wall Adrian had put up being completely shattered was interesting. She had always looked up to his father but after meeting the son she kinda wondered about that, "we'll never meet your heroes," she thought to herself.
"It was one of my proudest moments when she got that black belt I just really wish she could have been there." Mr. Stacy finished up as she sucked down a strawberry shake.
The day was thankfully calm perhaps after the attack of the sinister six the city felt a day of calm was in order. It wasn't long before she was on the front steps of her home.
"Another friend?" Aunt May asked who of course noticed her ride home.
"I guess," she glanced away as she quickly ran away from the look her Aunt was giving her. However, before she could relax her radio went off.
"No rest for the wicked," as she suited up, pulling on her full mask. She leaped out and swung into action. She caught up to the chase.
"Shit it's the spider girl!" Cried out a thief as she landed
"Ugh I called myself Orb weaver for a reason, but honestly I know girls like fast cars but it's hard to impress behind bars," she banged as she avoided a few shots. "Or hanging upside down as she slowly picked the small team apart before being the car to a stop. "And I still don't have a license," she shook her head as she exited the now stopped car as the crooks hung from the lamp post.
She launched up to the rooftops only for someone clapping as she turned around. "Sup Spider, as impressive as ever." The thief from before made his presence known.
"You again? And I was having such a good day," she said hotly.
"Look like this Rose has thorns so cruel? Where is your new partner?"
"It was a one-time thing I work alone." She dismissed him.
"Oh well, here I was hoping to join your little team,"
"I thought you already had your own gig? White-hatting and all that."
"Then I found something else that caught my interest." His green-lensed eye twinkled a bit.
"Oh no I am not interested in a team," she noticed he got closer.
"A partner to watch your back, the thing is I really admire you and I want to help." He was now really close but her Spider-sense wasn't going off.
"Fine, I guess but if this becomes a problem then you go got it?" She looked away only to give a slight glance.
"But of course, I am at your disposal Madam Web," he bowed, then Introduced himself "Call me Black Cat."
Au notes:
Well, I guess this could be a season one finale or a 1.5 I really wanted to go wilder on the multiverse but I decided to keep it as is. I am fond of the Amalgam universe I may touch on others but I have no long-term story plans so will play out isn't set in stone. While in comics I hated the grey goblin story and am happy to mold the idea into crafting a fusion of Gwen and Harry. We have an Extra Adrian running around as well as Venom plus hehe the story I have been waiting on is the nightmare episode, this is going to be fun sometimes it's best not to tease your villains too much, or else they may turn into someone they don't quite understand. I loved adding in the MCU I wanted to do more with it but the chapter was getting long as it was and I couldn't help but slip in a Superman Cameo he will not be relevant so don't worry if he's not your idea of fun.
