AN: Oh yeah you all thought the thieves would be the same? Nope, Raynare takes the place of Gouki since she wasn't the one to kill Issei. Why did she help? Well, she's lazy and when she heard of the Orb of Baast she figured that would help her get what she wanted faster. Overall I was inspired to do this because of Bleach Rebirth of the Guardian, sure it's got some faults but so do other fics. I choose Issei as the main character as the poor boy needs a break every now and then. Yes, he's a pervert but he also has a good heart. The computer gave me a heart attack earlier, I had to turn it off to clean it and it wouldn't start but after checking everything and making sure nothing was fried it powered back on.

Chapter 6

Raynare scoffed as she watched that wretched demon play with his new toy. She had only agreed to assist them so she could get the Orb to speed up her mission. The sooner she was away from these pitiful humans the better. It also didn't help that the devils had laid a claim to this town so she had to pretend to be a weak useless human when not in that abandoned church. But once she had that nun's Sacred Gear no one will be able to stop her. Hiei finished his stupid routine by turning a tree into a lesser demon which quickly turned back to wood.

"Once I get out of this town I'm going to head to the nearest city and create a large demon army to wreak havoc." He smirked holding the blade up.

"Just one more day for me and once I have what I want you can take this stupid 'treasure' since I won't need it," Raynare said seductively trying to throw to boy off his high horse.

"Whatever Fallen, and once the full moon rises we can use Kurama's mirror and gain even more power." Hiei wasn't fazed by her attempt and looked at their other member. Now even Raynare had to admit that had she not been so busy she might very well take Kurama for a ride even if he was a halfbreed. The boy was easy on the eye and she'd love to see how far she could push him till he gave in, maybe make him her personal plaything. Just thinking about it made her want to pounce and take him right there.

"Sorry to disappoint you but I am leaving this alliance." Kurama stepped out of the shadows. Hiei looked absolutely livid and Raynare licked her lips perhaps she could proposition the boy into joining her now.

"Do not tell me you're really dropping out after we've gotten so far?" Hiei spat the question out.

"Indeed I am." Kurama was unfazed by the short demon's glare.

"You're weak and cowardly just like these pathetic humans!" Hiei accused, his hand resting on his sword hoping Kurama would attack.

"Well, well it would be such a shame if that mirror wasn't used." Raynare swayed towards him.

"I have need of it myself." Kurama kept Hiei in his line of sight as he saw Raynare approach. She got right up next to him.

"~You know there's always room with me if you need it~" She whispered in his ear.

"Well, well I came here looking for some magic toys and here I find a dominatrix soliciting two…" Issei looked around. "young men."

"Who the hell are you?!" Hiei drew his blade.

"Well, I'm glad you asked. I'm a few things but all you need to know is I'm the guy who's going to arrest you. Issei Hyoudou Spirit detective at your service." Issei looked at all three. One was obviously a fallen if he had to guess, the angry guy was probably a demon, but the third one wore a Kouh uniform but Issei couldn't put a name to his face.

"He's just one of Koenma's fools, he must have been the only human available his spirit energy is pathetic." Hiei scoffed. Raynare however narrowed her eyes this boy was human, but he stank like a devil skank. She wouldn't put it past one of those bats to bed a filthy human.

"Well thank you but I must be going. I can't be caught yet." Kurama turned and walked off, Hiei spat out a curse and went after him. Raynare walked around the boy looking him up and down. He wasn't bad on the eyes, for a human anyway but he couldn't compare to Kurama.

"Don't you worry I'll play with you for a bit if you want?" Raynare said seductively pushing her chest out. That would surely throw this pervert off she could feel his eyes running up and down her form. As if she'd ever solicit someone like Hiei.

"Well, my mom did say to always treat ladies with respect." Issei shrugged. "Now how about you hand over whatever item you have and turn yourself in."

"Where's the fun in that?" Raynare smirked. She reached for her chest and pulled out the Orb of Baast. "You see I need this for a little nun I know. However, if you want it. You'll have to come and get it. Though allow me to test something first." She moved her fingers to the orb and pulled out a wiggling soul.

"That's the kid from earlier!" Issei exclaimed.

"Did your mother not tell you women find stalkers gross boy." Raynare placed the orb away and grabbed the other side of the soul. "You see humans are so weak…" She started pulling at the soul from both ends. "Just a little force and they break so easily…" She couldn't finish her sentence as Issei slammed a right hook into her face, she stumbled letting go of the soul.

"Don't you dare look down on humans like that!" Issei growled as he landed a knee in her stomach while she was disoriented. Raynare glared daggers at the boy. How dare he strike her face.

Raynare's expression twisted with fury as she clutched her aching stomach. "You... You'll regret that, human!" She spread her wings, summoning a light spear to her hand. Issei took a step back, his mind racing. He remembered Koenma's words: "Imagine a trigger and pull tight." He focused on the energy in his hand, forming a small orb of light at his fingertip.

"You think you can match a fallen angel?" Raynare sneered, preparing to strike.

"Only one way to find out!" Issei retorted, aiming his finger at her. He concentrated, feeling the energy build up until it was almost too much to contain. Then, he released it.

A beam of light shot from Issei's finger, aimed directly at Raynare. She dodged, but the attack grazed her arm, causing her to hiss in pain. "You little brat!" she snarled, clutching her wounded arm. "You'll pay for that!"

Raynare launched her spear, and Issei barely had time to react, diving to the side as the spear embedded itself into the ground where he had just stood. Unfortunately, while he was able to do that another spear was thrown and it tore into his leg. He quickly got back to his feet, adrenaline keeping the pain away. His footing was wobbly at best and the pain was growing. 'This is bad... I only had one shot today,' he thought, remembering Koenma's warning.

"You're out of tricks now," Raynare taunted, advancing on him. "I'll enjoy breaking you."

"I'm going to leave you so full of holes they'll need a medium to identify your remains!" She was about to fire them but heard footsteps.

"It's right over this way Lord Lucifer!" A male voice shouted.

"We found this nice clearing and we wanted your opinion before we tell anyone else." A female voice chimed in.

"There's no way…" Raynare stepped back in fear. "He's too busy to be here."

"If it's for my precious sister then I want to see with my own eyes." Issei through his pain recognized the voice.

"You got lucky you brat!" Raynare lifted up in the air. "Just give up and don't come looking for me!" She flew off as fast as she could.

"He's hurt call Buchou." Issei's vision faded but he made out three shapes before fully passing out.

Issei awoke with a groan, his body aching from the brief but intense encounter with Raynare. He blinked, his vision slowly clearing, and found himself lying on a couch in what appeared to be a luxurious room, filled with rich furnishings and an air of sophistication. He tried to sit up, but a sharp pain in his side made him wince and lie back down.

"Take it easy, Issei," a calm, familiar voice said. Issei turned his head and saw Rias Gremory standing nearby, her expression a mix of concern and relief. "You're safe now."

Issei managed a weak smile. "Rias... what happened? Where am I?"

Rias sighed, sitting down in a chair next to him. "You're in the Occult Research Club room. We found you unconscious after your encounter with Raynare. Thankfully, your injury wasn't serious enough to warrant more than a healing spell and a good night's sleep. Kiba thought it best to bring you here to avoid any questions from your mother, but you're still in no condition to be up and about."

"Raynare... she got away," Issei muttered, frustration evident in his voice. "I couldn't stop her."

"You did well, considering the circumstances," Rias said, her tone reassuring. "Raynare is a dangerous opponent, even for seasoned devils. You showed remarkable courage and resourcefulness."

Issei frowned, recalling the fight. "I barely managed to scratch her and I used up my one shot of spirit energy. I need to get faster and stronger."

"You will," Rias assured him. "But you need to be patient and learn to harness your abilities properly. That's why I think you should seriously consider my offer to join my Peerage. With proper training and guidance, you can become much stronger."

Issei hesitated, remembering his earlier resolve to rely on his own strength. But the reality of his situation was beginning to sink in. He was dealing with forces far beyond ordinary human capabilities, and if he wanted to protect himself and others, he might need to accept some help.

"Maybe you're right," he admitted, feeling a mix of uncertainty and determination. "But I need more time to think about it." There was still a large part of him yelling to turn the deal down.

"Of course," Rias said, smiling warmly. "Take all the time you need. Just know that the offer stands, and we'd be glad to have you."

In the middle of the city, a young blonde girl is dropped off and her luggage is unloaded. She looked around but the person she knew she was meeting wasn't there. "Maybe I got the wrong street? Well, I should be able to find the church easily enough. Oh lord please guide me to my destination without fail."

On the other side of the road, a young girl with drill-like curls in her hair watched as the blonde nun started down the street.

AN: Raynare has her eyes set on a certain fox boy sure but she won't compromise her mission to get some action. We'll be finishing Raynare next chapter, don't worry certain dragons are about to be awakened as well.
