At the New Black Knight's Base…

It finally took some time, but Lelouch was finally healed, though feeling a tad off.

Not odd in a way that was bad, but he felt different than he was before. Hmm… maybe it was the joy of being released after recuperating from the SAZ massacre, it was such a long wait and he feared much since his time out of commission. There was a war waged between Japan and Britannia and he was needed to map out the best way to be the victor of this violent war. With Euphemia, the former princess turned into a wanted felon by the Crown showing her support for Japan's freedom and her desire for peace, it strengthened their resolve and caused hesitation with their enemies.

"It seemed that Euphie was still having quite the effect on the emperor's pawns. This could be beneficial." Lelouch hummed as he was typing on the computer while Suzaku kissed his cheek.

"She does have that effect on people and with those radicals under his thumb, it will be proven difficult to be a part of his madness." Suzaku answered then provided tea for his love, "Still, we're limited on resources, so we might need to start planning on how we go about that."

"We don't have to worry about that in a moment, I still have some cards in my hands. Right now, we need to focus on here and here. Once we secure those areas, we can go on more of the-urk." Lelouch began but then felt bile rising from his thin throat.

He hated feeling this way but tried to keep it down. He often failed but managed to pass it off to the others as a side effect of his pain medication.

"Lelouch? Feeling sick again?" Suzaku wondered as he grabbed the bucket, since Lelouch had been feeling unwell.

"I-I'm fine, just still a little bit off by the-mmph! Pills…" Lelouch shrugged off while clenching his stomach, "I think they're still trying to worm their way out of my system still."

Suzaku knew that was a lie since Lelouch stopped taking those pills a while ago, but he knew she didn't want to be stuck in bed again.

"Look why not have Sayako or Rakshata look over you." Suzaku offered as he knew his love would not go for it.

He adored his Night Angel Among Sunflowers, but her stubbornness would be the death of her one of these days. He needed someone to take care of her since she couldn't for herself, and it would kill her if she didn't.

"I'm fine. Just a brief moment, nothing to worry about." Lelouch gurgled but then threw up into the bucket.

"Lelouch, you've been throwing up for days now and it's not just your illness. You've also been short-tempered and sleeping more than you usually do. I think something happened." Suzaku advised as Nunnally wheeled in, hearing her brother retching.

"Niisan, are you okay? You don't sound so well." The little sister in the wheelchair voiced as she startled the pair.

Even with her eyes remaining blind, nothing escapes her notice.

"I'm okay, Nunna, just feeling a tad unwell." Lelouch breathed as his sister approached him, holding his hands.

"Big brother, maybe you should be examined by Miss Sayako or Ms. Crawla. It might be something much more serious." Nunnally advised the hero to Japan.

Lelouch was about to try to convince her otherwise when Suzaku took the opportunity.

"I'll go get them right now." Suzaku whistled as he was already at the door.

"Suza-."

"Too late! Already out, love you!" Suzaku shouted goofily as Lelouch growled.

Nunnally giggled then held her brother's hands.

?

"He is doing this because he loves you so much." Nunnally reminded him.

"I know." Lelouch breathed but then noticed Nunnally's puzzled expression, "Are you okay?"

"I'm fine, but you feel somewhat… different somehow. Like something has changed. I don't know how to explain it." Nunnally tried to answer.

"Don't worry, Nunna. I'm sure it's nothing."

At the Lab…

Kallen watched as her Knightmare was being repaired after that dogfight with the emperor's men, is radical thugs, and those traitors.

Well, it wasn't really a challenge, more like a game. Though she, Oghi, and Todou took a few hits out there, it wasn't anything they couldn't handle. Things seemed to be going upward for their organization and if things go to Zero's plan, which seemed to be working more organized than a pocket watch. Yet, none of them seem to be a match for her. Nope, they were easy to take down and easier to beat. The last time she found a worthy opponent was-.

"Kallen, Sensei, Mr. Ohgi, how goes the frontlines?"

Speak of the Devil…

"Though we took some hits, I saw it's going in our favor. It will be only a matter of him before we get the upper hand. Euphemia hopes that she can reach her elder sister and see if she is willing to join us." Kaname reported to the young knight.

It's strange now…

Seeing once enemies become allies against tyranny and even more, so that the once hated enemy of Zero would now be lying in bed with them. Everything seems so topsy-turvy nowadays.

"Good, then we are already on our way to ending this madness. Lulu will be happy." Suzaku smiled while Tamaki was buffing his own Knightmare.

"You know Kururugi, things will be going a lot quicker if you were on the frontlines too," Tamaki commented while pointing the Lancelot.

"I am a knight, I'm needed here with Euphie, Lulu, and Nunnally. I need to keep them safe." Suzaku answered, "And speaking of which, Sayako, Crawla, do you mind checking up on Lulu?"

"He's throwing up again?" Rakshata wondered, already knowing the answer, "Finally got him to concede?"

"Kind of. Nunnally did."

"The mistress does have that power over him. She and Euphie really do care." The nurse answered as the broadcast, Euphie speaking towards the Japanese to take courage and rise with the Black Knights to take back their country from her evil father.

"She and Zero really do know how to work the crowd, must be genetic… Don't worry, Kururugi. We'll check her out and see if everything's in order." The doctor answered while working on the side project for the sister of Zero, "Though her symptoms do make me wonder… hmm, probably nothing."

"Good, thank you. I'll check up on Euphie and see how she's holding up. I know it's not easy for her to stand against her family." The knight answered.

"She did have great inspiration. I think her courage stems from her own admiration of her older sibling. Zero can be quite the role model." Todou answered while Takashi and Kallen blushed a bit.

"Yeah, Zero is really something," Tamaki muttered while Kallen coughed.

"Right, I need to be somewhere too. I'll check with you in a few hours." Oghi answered then abruptly left the group.
