That night, Draco walked back to the Slytherin common room, and when he walked in, he stopped dead. There sitting on one of the couches next to Theo, was Granger. He slowly walked in. "Get lost Granger?"

Theo flipped him off without turning around, but Granger swung her head around, her long hair whipping behind her. "Theo invited me down."

Draco took a seat in one of the armchairs opposite from the twins. "I don't think we've ever had a Gryffindor down here Granger. At least willingly."

Hermione laughed. "That you know of."

Draco narrowed his eyes. "And what does that mean?"

Theo snorted. "Potter and Weasley came down here in second year."

Draco's mouth dropped. "When?"

"Christmas." Hermione shrugged, flipping a page in her textbook, her attention split. "We thought you might be the heir of Slytherin."

Draco leaned back in the armchair and shook his head. "No way Granger. I would have noticed your idiot friends breaking in."

Hermione glanced up. "Not if they took Polyjuice and disguised themselves as Crabbe and Goyle." Her eyes flicked back down.

"And where would Saint Potter and Weaselbee have gotten Polyjuice…" Draco trailed off. "You brewed Polyjuice potion in second year?" He asked, awe and respect seeping into his voice.

Theo smiled smugly. "Miles ahead of us in school. She's the cleverest witch of her age Draco. Remember?"

Hermione shut her book, saving her place with a finger, and looked at Theo accusingly. "You said that I could study down here in peace without everyone staring at me, or a bunch of people making excessive noise. He is making excessive noise."

"I could cast a silencing charm on him." Theo offered grinning.

Hermione laughed. "I somehow doubt that would work on him."

Draco watched the two argue. "Hang on, Potter and Weaslebee are ten times smarter than Crabbe and Goyle-"

"That's not saying much." Hermione muttered under her breath interrupting him.

Draco scowled at her. "They would have given themselves away on that pretense alone."

Hermione shrugged. "They almost did. You caught Harry wearing his glasses, and he lied and said that he used them to read, and you said that you didn't know that Crabbe could read."

Draco's eyes widened, as he thought back on his Christmas second year. "You have got to be fucking kidding me. And who were you disguised as."

Theo's eyes narrowed at that question, and Draco had a feeling this might have been one of those stories that Theo had said upset him that morning. "It doesn't matter, she was nowhere near here."

Hermione opened her book back up, and looked around. "It is rather peaceful down here. Not nearly the way Harry and Ron described it."

Draco snorted. "Like they would know something nice if they saw it. Is Gryffindor tower not as nice as this?" He asked, his arms sweeping around, gesturing at the room they were seated in.

Hermione cocked her head to the side, and shut her book, set it down, and pulled her legs up to her chest, and wrapped her arms around them. It was the first time that Draco took in her state of dress. Instead of the school robes she normally wore religiously, she wore an oversized sweater with Aberdeen emblazoned on the front, tight black leggings that she had tucked into thick woolen socks. "It's hard to compare the two. We always have a fire going, which is lovely in Winter, but it gets bloody sweltering in the spring. And it's loud. The only time it's ever quiet in there is when everyone is asleep or its during final exams. Although, Fred did yell at everyone once during fifth year to shut up and keep quiet because I'd fallen asleep in the common room." She smiled at the memory.

Theo put his arm around her, and pulled her in. "It seems like you were really close to him."

Hermione smiled sadly. "I had a small crush on him that year, and we even briefly toyed with the idea of going out, but then he decided to leave school early, and we both got way too busy with other things. But he was always really nice to me, and made me feel good about myself."

Draco swallowed. For some odd reason, he didn't like that Granger had been romantically involved with more than one Weasley. "So one of the twins, and Weaselbee Granger?" He asked with a slight edge in his voice. "Any other Weasley's you've had romantic relationships with I should be worried about before we get hitched?"

Hermione's eyes narrowed. "I hardly think you're in any position to judge my romantic history Malfoy. From what I've heard, only one of us has a reputation in this school as a sex god."

Theo grinned at Draco ferally.

"I don't care if you fucked all of them. I just want to know how many death threats from your exes I should expect."

Hermione rolled her eyes. "I only ever had a thing with Fred. Ron and I shared one kiss during the battle, but we both agreed that it felt too weird. As for my dating history, I'm afraid its rather bland compared to yours. I dated Viktor in fourth year, had a fling with a boy I went to primary school with summer between fifth and sixth year, and then one disastrous date with Mclaggen in sixth year. Now shall we go over your, I'll call it dating to be polite, history, or should I plan a long weekend for that?"

Theo laughed loudly. "She's got you there mate."

Draco glared at the pair. "I think I miss you not speaking to me."

Theo ran his free hand through his hair. "I can always start ignoring you again."

Draco looked at Theo, an odd look in his eye, and Theo sighed. "I'm not going to start ignoring you again. I just needed some time."

Draco nodded, an lump in his throat. Hermione looked between the two boys.

"Why weren't you talking to him?" She asked, confused.

"Because he was pissed about what happened to you, and I was the only one there he could be mad at in that moment." Draco said quietly. "Who he could be rightfully mad at."

Hermione looked at Theo, then in a flash was on her knees whacking Theo. "You didn't talk to your best friend for a week? I already said he couldn't do anything!" She said forcefully.

The had thrown his arms up in defense! "Stop hitting me Hermione! I was angry, and I needed to deal with it."

Hermione leaned back on her haunches, and crossed her arms over her chest. "Have you apologized yet?"

"He doesn't have to apologize Granger." Draco said quietly, slightly stunned by the scene in front of him.

Hermione pointed her finger at him, without actually looking at him. "Shut up. And you," she said glaring at Theo. "Apologize."

Theo looked at her stunned. When Hermione kept glaring at him, Theo swallowed, and then said "Sorry Draco."

Hermione narrowed her eyes, at him, then gave a brisk nod. She kicked her feet off the sofa, and started gathering up her belongings. "I have to get going. I have to make sure Ginny gets out of the castle without getting caught tonight, and I don't trust her and Parkinson to not get caught." She said.

She stood up, picked up her bag, and then leaned over to give her brother a hug goodbye. "Bye Draco." She said waving menacingly at him.

The two boys waited until the common room door had shut behind her. "Your sister is scary." Draco said.

Theo grinned sappily. "You know who she reminded me of just then?"

Draco looked at Theo confused. "Who?"

Theo leaned forward and clasped his hands together. "Mum." He said, his eyes wet.

Draco couldn't think of anything to say, so he just let the silence fall, enveloping the two of them.
