A/N

Hi all and welcome back to another chapter of Heir of Hyoudou, I can't believe that we've made it to chapter 40. In the grand scheme of things when this first started I didn't believe that it would be a hit or believe that anyone would actually show any interest in this story I was trying to tell.

Adapting it from its original format has been quite challenging, as I know that we hold it dear to our hearts, however, I believed that I had an opportunity to add something special to the fandom.

I'd like to thank everyone once again for being patient with me as I have been very busy since the last chapter I have moved house as well as had Christmas in between.

I would like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and I hope they enjoy their new year hopefully 2024 will be a very important and strong year for this story going forward and we'll see where it ends up.

Without further ado let's begin Chapter 40

"Are you sure it is the right time to go on an official visit, my dear" A lady said as she looked towards the elderly man in front of her.

It wasn't strange that her husband went on business trips or even personal trips from time to time, whether that was to the human world, the underworld or even the other realms that were under his jurisdiction, it wasn't uncommon for him to be away from home leaving the day to day, (in his eyes the more boring aspects of his job) to either his sons or his wife.

It's never bothered her his constant travels especially those to the human world. One region in particular, Germany was the region that he had had tended to often visit, this was the land where the descendants of their religion recited most. Unlike other gods, the Norse didn't see the decline of their religion as a direct threat.

It was over 1000 human years ago now, something so insignificant in the eyes of the gods, why should it affect them? The introduction of Christianity within northern Europe was perhaps the precursor to this alliance that was beginning to form.

Looking in front of her she could see that the man's long grey beard was elegantly brushed and washed, their many servants who were under the control of his regal outfit had dressed him quite plain in the grand scheme of things. He had been travelling into the human world quite often recently his godly attire was replaced with one that was slightly more attuned to the current world consisting of a three-piece suit with a white undershirt accompanied by a red tie.

Over the eons that she had known him, he had allowed his godly nature to allow him to age into what appeared to be an old man. However, one with the vigour and sexual appetite of a man millennia younger than himself.

Her on the other hand like many of the other goddesses of chief deities Frigg had tried to keep her somewhat youthful appearance as close to that of their younger self, with the slightly beneficial aspects of ageing to appear like on mother rather than a young heroine that was right for any hero.

If you had to look at her you would say that she appeared to be in her mid to late 40s. Atop her head sat dirty blonde hair that seemed to have allowed a mixture of brown and grey hairs to begin to see their way through her luscious blonde locks that she kept at shoulder length.

Framing her face neatly Friggs's hair was something that she took great pride in. Although she too had gone through many styles throughout the years she had still, kept it formal enough to attend gatherings with other gods and goddesses within her religion while also being presentable enough to meet other mythological beings as well.

Her wish-washed blonde hair was linked perfectly with her emerald, green eyes that portrayed something of a motherly feel to them and one that her son Baldar often seeks comfort in in times of great stress and need.

Like many of her avid worshippers, Frigg's outfit was one of a dark blue underdress that was accompanied by a white apron that protected the front of her body, unlike her body armour that she wore into battle. Frigg's more casual clothing was something like what women in mediaeval Europe especially Germany would constantly wear as it was more practical.

The blue underdress was built or rather made for practicality while subconsciously adding to her beauty, while not as voluptuous or sexually alluring as other goddesses such as Aphrodite or ISIS, Frigg's figure was more similarly attuned to the human female for the ample breasts and a firm buttock.

Placing her hand upon her husband's left shoulder the wife of the chief deity of the northern pantheon gave him the typical look that she often did before he went away on visits of great importance. While this look wasn't one of distrust or disloyalty as she knew his nature it was on more that was unspoken between the two more like that one would tell any other to be careful on their travels.

"Mother, father will be fine on his travels as he often is, and the people of the three factions have agreed to assign him a high-ranking member as a bodyguard," the young man said walking down the stairs towards his parents smiling.

"Hello, my dear, what brings you out," Frigg said as she looked towards her son.

Looking towards the man who was walking down the stairs she could see a young man who appeared to be in his early 30s. Arbun brown hair sat atop his head, that was accompanied by a long brown bead. Looking closely at her son Frigg could see that he had put the effort in this morning to plat his beard instead of keeping it shaggy and unkempt.

His clothing consisted of a typical Viking outfit for the late 9th CE accompanied by a shield that he wore on his back and a sword at his hip.

He was a muscular man not to the point of his older brother Thor or other Gods such as Aries however he was not as skinny either as Loki, sitting somewhere perfectly in the middle.

Say goodbye to my father" Baldar said towards his mother as his father chuckled at their interaction.

As the three continued to discuss what items business was going to be within the human world and the land of the Shinto gods, a commotion began to appear at the top of the stairs the Baldar himself had not walked down.

Looking back towards his wife Odin knew confidently what was causing that ruckus at the top of the stairs.

Coming down the main palace steps with a crash and a bang followed by the wincing of the pain of a feminine voice that caused the three to turn around to look at what had caused the commotion.

Unsurprised and what they saw the three gods saw are familiar silver head Valkyrie lying on the ground with the suitcase of her luggage open sprawling her clothes across the floor. Walking up to her the Norse God of light Baldar picked up a pink bra that was strewn across the floor amongst other things.

Looking and noticing that the son of the old father had one of her bras in his hand, Rosswise couldn't help but snatch her hand as she rapidly started shoving all her clothes back into her suitcase before slamming it shut.

Looking up with a massive blush evident across her face Rosswise noticed that an equally large blush was evident across the Norse God of light face as well.

Noticing the altercation going on in front of them the two elder gods couldn't help but chuckle at the sheer embarrassment that their son was going through while also here one of the clumist Valkyries ever had caused this type of reaction out of their son.

Watching as their son stood up Odin jammed his elbow into his son's side causing the younger god to look at his father and a somewhat shocked expression written across his face. Looking down at his father and noticing a deceitful smile beginning to appear on it, the younger of the two girls blushed deeper with embarrassment at being seen out by his parents at the sheer blush of the saying a woman's bra.

Turning his attention off his son and looking towards the Valkyries lying on the ground still sitting on top of her suitcase.

"In all the nine realms, why are you the clumsiest Valkyrie that I've ever met, no wonder you don't have a boyfriend yet. If you weren't so good at your job " Odin said scolding her cold in tears to well up in her eyes.

"Don't be so rough on her father just because she's never had a boyfriend doesn't mean she's useless" Baldar said as his mother chuckled at her son

"Ah, good morning, everyone sorry I'm a bit late" Rosewisse said as she looked towards the three standing in front of her family politely.

"Oh rose, you have always been a cluts" Frigga said as he looked towards the Valkrye as she continued to dust herself off therefore standing at attention and looking towards the All father.

Scene break

Sitting there swinging on the company-given rollie chairs that were placed in many of the conductors' officers on the train station platform, Yumi the young 35-year-old male train conductor began spinning on the chair while also throwing up his flags waiting for the arrival of the next train to reach the station.

While he was only 35 years old, Yumi was currently a father to 1 with another on the way with his wife, an English expat living in Japan named Elizabeth, who was currently five months pregnant with their second child.

Although he was entirely thankful for his first child. A daughter 3-year-old who was the light of his and Elizabeth's life Yumi hoped that this child would be a boy and one that would enjoy baseball as much as he did.

Continuing to spin around on the chair and throwing the flags up higher and higher to the point without almost touching the roof.

Suddenly a bright glow emanated from the room.

Looking over Yumi was surprised when a large blue glow began to appear behind him causing the young man's concentration to falter allowing for his two sticks to bounce on the ground. Yumi couldn't help but turn around to wonder what it was.

"The next train should be here for another two minutes, and why is it coming from the wrong direction" He thought to himself as he began to wonder as the glow continued to grow brighter and brighter.

Spinning his chair around to see what the current problem was he was shocked when he noticed what appeared to be a doorway made of in his own opinion, some sort of wireless electrical current that ebbed and flowed with the breeze from the Fan that sat on the roof.

Watching as the light began to die down before completely dissipating, Yumi was all struck to the point where he fell off the chair at what had currently appeared in front of him.

Looking up he noticed two figures standing there in front of him someone hardly paid him enough for this shit, looking in front of him he noticed a being that appeared to be close to the age of 90 with the other being a young woman in her late 20s next to him almost as if she was his secretary or granddaughter.

"I told you, Lord Odin, we shouldn't have appeared in such a way, what would happen if your human was in here" Rose said as she looked towards the old man who only chuckled at her Nieve comments.

"Oh, don't worry about that humans are easy creatures to convince" Odin said as he looked over the way the noise had come from as I teleported into the room.

Looking over and noticed what appeared to be a young man any his 30s laying there on the ground somewhat shocked and almost terrified at what or how the two individuals in front of him had appeared.

Looking over at him Odin couldn't help but chuckle at the site of the man lying on the ground somewhat terrified of him. Smiling as he noticed that his Valkyrie had noticed that they weren't entirely alone, laughing as he noticed the shocked look beginning to develop on her face at the realisation of what was happening.

"Lord Odin look a human has seen us" Rose said as she pointed towards the man who flinched in fear in his eyes being yelled at for something that he shouldn't have seen.

"Oh yes that does appear so, so ever will we do" Odin said jokingly as he began to stroke his beard in pondering though,

"If I must remove his head, to keep the secret of the mythological world a secret" Rose said as she began to form a magic circle in her hand.

"What I'm going to die," Yumi said as he grabbed one of his flags and pointed towards the silver-haired woman in a feeble attempt to save his own life.

"Stand down Valkyrie don't be so stupid; you don't have to kill him "Odin said as he pulled out a gold coin from his pocket before throwing it towards the man with a flick of his fingers.

Flipping and turning as the coin flew towards Yumi who still sat on the ground frightened with fear watched as the coin gradually got closer and closer towards him. Instinctively stretching out his hand to grab the coin as it neared his hand. Yumi soon felt the cool temperature of the golden coin that now sat in his left hand.

"I think that makes us even, make sure you don't tell anyone about this meeting, "Odin said as he reached towards the door handle before turning it revealing a bustling train platform.

"Yu huh" Yumi said as he saw the man exit the room.

"Come on Rose," the older man said she two left the room.

Looking closer and closer to the actual coin it was something of a mystery to him almost as if the shock and confusion of the event made the coin stranger and stranger as he continued to look at it.

Closely examining it he noticed that it appeared to have some foreign writing written around the edges with what appeared to be the old man's face imprinted on both sides.

Unsure of what country this currency was Yumi soon went to his computer and began to research what or where these coins were from.

Scene break

Do you think that was wise Lord Odin" Rosewise said as the two began to walk along the platform while countless humans went by their day without a care in the world not knowing that they were in the presence of a God and Chief God at that.

"What… do you have a problem with how I acted" Odin said as he looked towards young Aid in the hope that she would have some supporting evidence to back up her claims that she was lying at his feet".

"Oh no not really but don't you think that human will tell someone about what he is witnessing here today," Rose said she looked towards all her father who only chuckled at her nativity.

"Well, my dear one thing that you're going to have to realise about humans, is it quite easily brought" Odin said as you noticed a familiar dark-headed man sitting on a bench in front of him waiting patiently as he watched the trains go by.

"Lord Odinit is a pleasure to see you again, Lady Valkryie" The man continued as he looked towards the female that stood next to the elderly man who nodded back acknowledging the other man's comments towards her.

"Hello Baraqiel it appears that you have not grown any prettier since the last time that I saw you" Odin remarked as a fallen Angel gruffed in amusement at his comments towards him.

"Yes, sorry to not meet your standards my Lord" Baraqiel replied as three began walking towards the exit of the train station that sat neatly at the top of the staircase.

Kuoh like many modern stations was situated underground in a subway lock station connecting to other major cities around the nation including Kyoto, Tokyo, and other metropolises around the country.

As the three continued to walk throughout the train station and up onto the straight itself, the confined space of the train station was soon replaced by the surface presume replaced with the hustle and the bustle of mid-afternoon activities in the human world.

Looking around the young Valkryie was highly surprised at the simplicity of human clothing, all her life she had believed they still dressed the same way for millennia.

From slacks to straight skirts to even what appeared to be a mixture of a suit jacket which was paired with a straight skirt that was worn by some of the females, Rosewise was pleasantly surprised with how adaptable humans were.

Looking up she noticed that she had begun to fall behind the two men who continued to walk further and further in front of her causing her to jog slightly to catch up to them.

Upon arrival behind the two men, Rosewise could hear the current conversation the two men were having a conversation regarding Baraqiel's second daughter. And his attempt at a re-introduction to her family's life.

Continuing to eavesdrop further she was surprised to hear that the fallen Angel man was not in contact with his youngest child yet, as he was trying to take, his time with it rather than pushing the point and potentially pushing her away forever.

Agreeing with the younger man's comments the old man nodded as he stroked his beard in contempt, trying to think back on all these years of life, even one of the wisest beings in existence was unaware of how to proceed with the advice that he was giving the young man in front of him.

Choosing to keep his mouth shut and not make his opinion known on the matter, the two continued to walk down a crowded Japanese Street with many onlookers looking at the three.

Chuckling to himself as he noticed the whispers to occur amongst the group and continued to walk, Odin chose to ignore the many whispers as I prepared two begin to think about the many events that would surely be their future.

Rearing the corner as the group began to leave the heart of town behind them, shops soon turned into suburban houses, passed by them quickly as they began quickening their pace noticing a lot of modern Japanese architecture was that of a somewhat distorted reflection of western architectural ideas, with some traditional aspects added in amongst them Rossewise couldn't help but smile as he rounded the corner to notice a massive hill with an even more larger house upon it.

Thanks, guys and girls for reading this chapter sorry for the long wait between this one and the last one I've just been extremely busy with moving house the festive season and just a few other things that have been going on in my personal life, I would like to thank everyone once again for reading and please feel free to leave review below.
