I'm back!
I hope everyone enjoys!
Lacy walked into the mall alone, her long hair in pigtails and wearing a simple tank top and skinny jeans with flats. Lost in her own world you can imagine her surprise when she came across a confused Kyoya in regular clothes, his usually well kept hair a bit of a mess, by himself.
"Kyoya? What are you doing here?"
She asked innocently as he looked up at her in shock for a moment before composing himself.
"Lacy, how much money do you have with you?"
Lacy giggled and grabbed his arm, his fathers words faint in her mind.
"Something tells me you're hungry. This was Tamaki's idea wasn't it?"
Kyoya sighed as the pair walked to the food court and Lacy picked out a burger joint before waiting in line.
"Are you sure this is alright Kyoya? I know normal food isn't exactly your cup of tea."
Lacy winked as Kyoya almost buzzed with annoyance.
"Please remember to collect the receipt. I will make Tamaki pay ten times the price."
Lacy giggled despite Kyoya's grumpy mood.
"Lacy, how do I place my order?"
Quickly Lacy walked up to the blushing cashier, telling her their order as she tried to sweetly flirt with Kyoya.
"We have desserts today. Wanna try them?"
Kyoya coldly denied.
"No, thanks. I don't like desserts."
The girl continued to smile.
"We also have a new shake."
"I said. I'm not interested."
Lacy blinked at the icy tone and shook her head before calmly telling Kyoya to find them a seat before grabbing their food and walking over to him and placing the tray down.
"Kyoya. You shouldn't be that rude because of your mood. She was doing her job, granted she could have toned down the flirting a little bit."
Lacy mumbled the last part to herself as she took a seat and handed Kyoya his burger.
"What's wrong? Being overly enthusiastic doesn't necessarily equate to good."
Lacy nodded in agreement while eating her burger and watching Kyoya eat for a moment.
"What's the matter?"
Lacy shrugged for a moment.
"Nothing. I'm just surprised to see you eat in such a manner. I expected you to be more refined. Besides, I thought you hated fast food?"
Kyoya smirked at her.
"Indeed, the food here isn't my cup of tea. Are you saying that I'd be so crass as to complain about a meal someone's treating me to? Especially my girlfriend?"
Lacy smiled at that, hiding her anxiety about the conversation she had with his father only a couple days prior.
"Of course not."
"Besides, fast food was meant to be convenient to eat. Hence, I should consume the food the way it's meant to be consumed. Besides, No one here will trouble over how I choose to consume my food. Hence, there's no point in acting in a refined manner here."
Lacy sighed and was about to mention her inner turmoil when a group of girls interrupted her trying to flirt with Kyoya and take one of the empty chairs at the table. Shaking her head she gathered their trash and tossed it in the trashcan before grabbing his arm and walking towards the expo that was in the mall.
"There's something on my mind Kyoya."
He glanced down at her sad tone, making him stop and look down at her.
"What is it, Lacy?"
"I had a conversation with someone, and it made me wonder about something."
Gently he grabbed her hand.
"What are you worried about Lacy?"
She sighed.
"If our differences in our social standings are going to keep us from being together? I mean look at me."
She gestured to her outfit.
"I'm not exactly some refined aristocrat, I wasn't raised to be the perfect lady. I know how to act the part, but I'm far from perfect."
Kyoya placed his hand on the side of her face and lightly traced her scar.
"You most certainly are not refined. However, that is what I'm starting to love about you."
He gently kissed her before smiling down at her as she led the way into the expo. Stopping at a table, Lacy admired some black pearl earrings.
"These are beautiful."
"These are the Black Pearls from Ishigaki Island. This is high quality."
Lacy smiled.
"Incredible. You've heard of them?"
Kyoya gave a little nod.
"I have been taught about such matters ever since I was a child."
Lacy smiled and leaned against him as they walked to another booth.
"You have two older brothers, right? What are they like?"
The pair stopped to try a sample of pickles as Kyoya calmly answered her question.
"Nothing special. Just your stereotypical elites. They never fail to meet my father's expectations. Hence, my father expects me to surpass both of them."
Lacy looked in thought as she purchased some of the pickles.
"Looks like things are hard on you."
Kyoya smirked at her.
"Really? I feel that there is no better game than this challenge."
Lacy smiled and moved to the next vendor only for Kyoya to gently grab her hand and move to another booth.
"Lacy, did you know about this? I had no idea that honeymelons are so popular within the food processing industry!"
Kyoya picked up one of the bags as Lacy started to giggle.
"I've never heard of this. Using honeymelons for chocolates is fine, but for crisps? Don't tell me this is because common folks cannot afford honeymelons."
Lacy couldn't hold back her giggles and let out a laugh.
"What's so funny?"
Lacy shook with laughter.
"Nothing. I just happened to remember you saying that you weren't like Tamaki. But you said something only Tamaki would say."
Kyoya looked at the bag thoughtfully for a moment.
"That's true, such things interest Tamaki and the Twins. I may as well buy some. Lacy, wallet, please. I will make Tamaki pay twice the price for them."
Lacy giggled and paid the merchant before linking arms with Kyoya and walking over to a booth with beautiful vases.
"Hey, this vase. Wow, it's so expensive."
Kyoya gave her an inquiring look.
"You know about this vase?"
Lacy shook her head and continued to point at the vase.
"Not really, it just happens that there is one similar at my uncle's workplace."
"Hey! Don't Touch My Vases!"
Lacy yanked her hand back at the sudden yell of the vendor.
"Poor punks like you don't have the right to touch such treasures. Really, it's so irritating to have customers who don't know their value."
Lacy glared and mumbled a sorry and looked up at Kyoya to see he was just as annoyed before the voice of an excited old woman caught their attention.
"Hey, isn't this the masterpiece of the famous potter, Omatsu? I can't believe I'm seeing it here!"
The vendor pipped up in a good mood.
"You have excellent taste, madam! Indeed, such rarities don't usually appear in such places. This is the reputed heirloom of the Omatsu Family!"
Kyoya walked up and quickly intervened.
"Madam, that is but a fake."
The vendor was not happy.
"How dare you say that!"
Kyoya simply continued with his explanation.
"The shade of blue in this forgery is indeed very similar to that of Omatsu's Hairloom, however, the shade of blue is darker at the bottom of the bowl, and the colouring looks more elegant."
Kyoya picked up the vase and turned it upside down.
"Ah, as expected, the seal on the base of the bowl is different. Besides, the bowl comes with a license…Mister, could I have a look at it?"
The vendor looked nervous.
"I…I forgot to bring it in the shop today."
Kyoya smirked.
"Oh really? Since I'm rather well acquainted with the Omatsu Family, shall I call them up for confirmation? In fact, why don't I call them now? What do you think?"
The vendor got into an argument with a man that appeared to be with the older woman, who bowed gratefully to Kyoya, before he turned back to an amazed Lacy.
"Didn't you say that you will never be involved in anything that doesn't benefit you?"
Lacy teased lightly.
"Hum? Oh, no wonder you didn't notice. The Madam is the wife of the owner of a reputed electronics company. Although, I don't know her personally, her kimono and ring told me that she was no ordinary person. I didn't expect to have guessed correctly. It's a good thing that things turned out this way."
Lacy smiled and followed after him.
"Kyoya, what's your definition of benefit? Is it money or fame? But from our position then, there's no way we could see that madam's ring or kimono! Were you trying to stand up for me when you saw the shopkeeper being rude to me? Regardless of Kyoya, Tamaki, or the others, the definition of benefit can't be as shallow as money and fame."
Just as Kyoya was about to answer, an announcement was made.
"WE ARE LOOKING FOR A LOST CHILD! OTORI KYOYA FROM TOKYO! LOST BOY OTORI KYOYA! YOUR GUARDIAN, MR. TAMAKI, IS CURRENTLY LOOKING FOR YOU AT THE INFORMATION CENTER ON THE SECOND LEVEL! LITTLE KYOYA IS 1.81M TALL, AND WEARS SPECTACLES. HE WAS LAST SEEN WEARING A SHIRT WITH FLORAL PRINT AND A PAIR OF JEANS. HE'S CURRENTLY PENNILESS, SO HIS GUARDIAN IS VERY WORRIED. IF ANYONE SEES HIM, PLEASE."
Kyoya flushed with anger as the crowd around them started to whisper.
"Guess we should go find them."
Lacy suggested softly while grabbing his hand only to quickly drop it as Tamaki ran up with the rest of the Host Club.
"Kyoya! It's great to see you!"
Before Tamaki could hug Kyoya, Kyoya had the club members tied up and was walking back to Lacy, who giggled.
"Would you like a ride, Lacy?"
She smiled and nodded.
"I would love a ride."
What do we think?
See you next time!
