Meanwhile in an alley in Chicago a man was being held against the brick wall of a building by two other guys while a third one kept punching him.
"You really thought you could take us on?" The one who kept hitting him mocked.
"Well one at a time and in a fair fight yes." The man groaned. "But I guess you need your friends to hold me back because your scared of getting you butt kicked."
"I'm not afraid of anything we just do things together." The man who had been beating him up hissed in his face. "Usually people are afraid of us."
"I think the only scary thing about you is your breath, do you not know what a mint or tic-tac is?" The man who was being pinned against the wall shot back.
Just as the other man was about to punch him they heard sirens.
"Hands up this is the Police!" A woman shouted as she and her partner and some other cops who had responded to a call from the owner of a restaurant where the men had left to have their fight now prepared to arrest them.
"Hi Captain Fanzone and Officer Malto." The man who had been pinned then dropped when the others had put their hands up greated the two officers as he pulled himself up.
"Hi Gage your gonna have to come down to the station with us your Uncle is on his way there." Officer Dot Malto told him.
"Ok." Gage replied and got in her police car dreading the conversation he was most likely going to have with his uncle when he got there.
Later Gage's Uncle Grant Knight picked him up from the station and the two were driving home, While Gage was hold an ice pack on his cheek where he had been punched.
"Another fight Gage really?" His uncle asked with a hint of disappointment in his voice.
"Those guys were harassing a waitress in the restaurant I couldn't just stand by and do nothing." Gage defended himself.
"Those guys are gang members, Gage I'm proud of you for standing up for others but please don't put yourself at risk what if they had killed you?" Grant asked his nephew.
"Since you brother died you've been acting a lot more reckless and after losing my brother and your Mom and then one of my nephews I couldn't handle it if something happened to you too, your all I have Gage." His uncle finished.
"I promise you won't." Gage assured him while holding his brother's dog tags that he kept as a good luck charm and to remember him.
"I want you to work at the base for awhile at least until we're sure no one from that gang will come looking for you." Grant told him, Gage was aware that his Uncle had worked with a group called United E. And had dealt with some kind of government secret, Then he remembered where it was.
"I'm not getting on a plane!" Gage said a bit harsher then he'd ment too.
"Don't worry you don't have too." His Uncle promised him knowing about his nephew's feelings towards flying and understanding, Then he made a quick call and drove them into an alley where a green portal opened much to Gage's shock and amazement and they drove into it coming out outside the base in Jasper Nevada.
Meanwhile Megatron had just walked through the space bridge with Optimus Prime and Soundwave and was greeted by Starscream and Knock Out and Agent Fowler and another man arguing while a woman stood there awkwardly.
"Why are you letting civilians in on the operation it's bad enough that Agent Knight is bringing his nephew to work here but why is she here?" The other agent asked not sounding a bit happy.
"That was my fault Agent Schloder I was driving through town and thought no one else was there." Knock Out cut in trying to explain and defuse the situation.
(Flash back.)
Having just arrived back on Earth with Starscream Knock Out had decided to go for a drive in his alt mode when he came upon a downed street light and saw no one was there so transformed to fix it.
When he suddenly heard something from the sidewalk behind him and looked to see a human female looking at him wide eyed with her mouth open and the most shocked expression imaginable having dropped her purse on the ground.
"Scrap." Knock Out groaned.
'Knock Out!" "What part of robots in disguise do you not get?!" Shouted Agent Fowler who had just gotten there having stopped and gotten out of his own car.
"You'll have to come with us Miss it's for your own protection." Agent Fowler told the woman.
"Ok." She agreed then Knock Out let her ride inside his alt mode after handing her back her bag that she dropped then brought her to the base where Agent Fowler explained everything to her and introduced her to Knock Out and Starscream and she introduced herself as Shayna Lockhart then Agent Schloder showed up right after Agent Knight called saying his nephew was coming there.
(Flash back ends.)
"Since Shayna saw me the Decepticons might go after her and we're here to help defend Earth and humanity and that includes her." Knock Out finished.
"And if you remember Team Prime did a good job of protecting the humans they were charged with." Agent Fowler added.
"But Team Prime were Autobots these are Decepticons they don't have as good a track record." Agent Schloder pointed out.
"Well I did trapped Agent Fowler in my trunk once." Knock Out replied.
"And I may have tortured him with an energon prob." Starscream added awkwardly.
"Are you really sure about this?" They then both asked at once not even mentioning the time Megatron almost killed Bumblebee's human friend Raf or when they had taken all three of their human friends hostage.
"They've changed and Prime trusts them now and I think having humans around might be good for them." Agent Fowler replied. "And I forgive you both."
"Ok but if anything happens to either of the humans I'm calling General Brice and holding you responsible." Agent Schloder said before leaving.
Just then Gage entered with his uncle and almost fell over when he saw the five giant robots in the room then his Uncle and Optimus Prime explained everything to him and told him and Shayna that they wanted them to help the four former Decepticons by teaching them about Earth. (The same way Jack, Miko and Raf had done for Team Prime.)
And both Gage and Shayna agreed to keep their secret and help any way they could then started making friends with Knock Out, Starscream and Soundwave.
"Now you'll both need guardians Knock Out you'll watch over Shayna while Starscream will be Gage's guardian." Optimus Prime told them.
"Can Knock Out be my guardian instead?" Gage asked.
"What's wrong with Starscream?" Asked Agent Fowler.
"It's just I'd feel safer with Knock Out." Gage replied.
"Is that ok with you two?" Asked Optimus Prime looking at Knock Out and Shayna.
"Yeah if Shayna is ok with it." Knock Out answered.
"I don't mind having Starscream as my guardian we're all going to be friends anyway." Shayna agreed feeling bad for the seeker when she saw his wings drop after being rejected.
Just then Megatron called Optimus aside to talk about something.
"I don't trust Starscream it's a mistake putting him on this team or anywhere near humans." Megatron voiced his concerns.
"Everyone is capable of change Megatron, Please give Starscream a chance." Optimus Prime reasoned with the former warlord.
"I just don't know Starscream has a history of scheming and treachery." Megatron explained.
But neither of them realized a certain seeker could hear them.
Until they heard him transform and fly off feeling like no one wanted him there, Gage had rejected him as a partner, Megatron clearly didn't want him on the team, And he couldn't help noticing that when Agent Schloder mentioned not trusting Decepticons with the humans he was the one he kept looking at.
"Wait Starscream!" Knock Out tried to yell after his friend but the seeker was already gone.
"For the record it was his idea to call you here to be team leader, Now if you'll excuse me I'm gonna go find him and see if I can get him to come back." Knock Out told Megatron not happy with the way he always treated Starscream.
Then the Aston Martin drove off to look for the seeker, And Optimus was called back to Cybertron for something urgent.
"Well this is just great for my first day leading the team." Megatron thought to himself.
"Megatron I feel bad this is my fault for rejecting Starscream as my guardian but it's nothing against him it's just I don't do planes or jets." Gage told him. "I should have explained better as soon as Starscream gets back I'll explain the issue and apologize to him.
"It's my fault too I've always been terrible to him." Megatron admitted.
"Starscream!" Knock Out called for his friend. "There's no telling where he's gotten to by now."
The sports car continued to drive around the desert trying to find the seeker until he spotted a cave and thought Starscream might have decided to go in there.
So he transformed and went to check it out and saw a random chair that had been left near the entrance but the odd thing is it was cybertronian sized.
"Did he literally decide to move in, Where did he even get a chair from Cybertron on Earth?" Knock Out wonder shrugging his shoulders.
Then he noticed the cave didn't go very far and just ended at a dead end, And Starscream wasn't in it, So he started to head back when he heard the familiar transformation sound of a fellow cybertronian.
But when he turned around instead of being met with the seeker he was looking for a bot with an empty looking pair of black optics greeted him it looked like the bot didn't even have optics and it creeped the red medic out, And the chair that was there when he entered was no where to be seen having been the bot who was now standing before him.
Knock Out froze as his spark began to race when he recognized the bot as Kaon who he had heard about as one of the members of the D.J.D. (Decepticon Justice Division.)
"Hello Knock Out fancy finding you here, You happen to be on our list." Kaon said darkly as he blocked the exit of the cave and slowly began to approach the frightened cherry color mech.
