Kaon lunged at Knock Out who quickly dodged out of the way and darted around the DJD member and out the exit of the cave and was about to transform and floor it out of there when Kaon tackled him to the ground.

The two mechs struggled and poor Knock Out was losing, Kaon just continued to beat the scrap out of him, until the red medic managed to get his energon prob and Kaon backed off a bit.

"Back off or get zap!" Knock Out threatened as he held his weapon, He was so weak from their struggle that he could barely stand and energon was leaking from the side of his mouth.

"Hahaha!" Kaon laughed in a way that made Knock Out uncomfortable. "Do it."

"Shock and drop!" Knock Out quipped to try to act less scared then he felt, But Kaon could tell the Aston Martin was trembling.

And to Knock Out's horror his energon prob had no effect on this mech as Kaon actually seemed like he was enjoying it when he used it on him.

The he grabbed the other end of Knock Out's weapon and ripped it out of his servos in a way that made Knock Out fall to the ground then broke the energon prob in half and tossed the pieces aside.

Then approached the downed red spots car and stood over him.

"Normally I would wait for the rest of the DJD and then we would take turns torturing you to make an example of you as we do with anyone who switches sides or betrays the Decepticon cause" Kaon said mockingly.

"But I don't think the others would mind if I indulge myself seeing how they're still on Cybertron right now,"

"I read your file Knock Out you we're a great medic, scientist and weapons designer for the Decepticons, And now you're nothing more then a disgrace, You let down your faction just like you let down your partner because let's face it if you had gone with Dreadwing and Breakdown on that mission to terminate Airachnid Breakdown might still be alive." Kaon mocked.

"AHH!" Knock Out let out a scream that come out more like a roar as he tried to attack Kaon to spite how weak he was and how much pain he was currently in.

"Ah I guess there is a little fight left in you, Now I'll show you what a real shock feels like." Kaon hissed in Knock Out's audio receptor then started using the coils on his back to generate electricity that he used to shock the red medic.

Knock Out let out several cries of agony as he received one shock after another.

"Ok I think that's enough shock therapy Doctor time to move on the the lobotomy." Kaon said darkly as he grabbed Knock Out and dragged him by the faceplates and slammed him hard into a rock formation rendering the red medic unconscious.

Then he propped Knock Out up in a setting position and started to touch the back of his helm.

"Don't worry it'll all be over in a moment." Kaon said to the unconscious mech.

Just then a missile shot one of Kaon's coils right off his back making him hiss in pain.

"Get away from him!" He heard Starscream's voice yell.

"Starscream your on our list too, And I see your living up to your reputation as a cowered not even showing yourself." Kaon mocked the seeker seeing that there were rock formation all over the place that Starscream could be hiding behind.

Deciding Knock Out could wait since he was badly injured and not going anywhere Kaon decided to look for the former Decepticon Air Commander.

But he kept getting missiles shot at him and not finding Starscream anywhere he thought he would be until the seeker's alt mode suddenly slammed into him, Then the seeker quickly transformed and hid again.

And kept using hit and run tactics on the DJD member, And Kaon was becoming more and more fed up with it.

But suddenly Kaon smirked.

"Since it's harder to hit a moving target I think I'll aim for one that can't." Kaon said darkly.

And Starscream's optics widened in horror as he realized he was talking about Knock Out.

Then Kaon aimed a blast of electricity at the already badly damaged medic and just as he expected he would Starscream jumped in front of his friend to shield him.

Upon being shocked the seeker let out a cry of pain and Kaon continued to zap him.

But suddenly a ground bridge opened and Megatron and Soundwave came out and see that he was out numbered Kaon fled.

Megatron started to go after him but heard Starscream cry out.

"Knock Out needs help!" Starscream pointed out as he was also struggling to stand.

So Megatron had Soundwave open a ground bridge back to base.

Upon returning to base Megatron wasn't no time calling Ratchet who rushed there from a space bridge, And started to go to Starscream since Megatron forgot to mention who the patient was and had only said someone was hurt.

"Knock Out first!" Starscream practically shouted.

Then Ratchet saw the red medic and what shape he was in and wasted no time tending to his injuries.

Then Starscream collapsed and Megatron could see sparks coming off the seeker's frame.

"Starscream needs help too!" Gage who had been standing in the human area with Shayna when they came back to the base pointed out.

"I have my hands full!" Ratchet said before calling First Aid who rushed through the space bridge and started treating Starscream.

Starscream woke up a few hours later and First Aid reported he was going to be fine, Some of his circuits had been fried when Kaon zapped him but they were easy to fix.

"What about Knock Out?" Was the first sentence that came out of the seeker's mouth.

"I just finished treating his injuries he's stable but unresponsive." Ratchet explained sadly. "He was dealt a lot of damage."

"Can I see him?" Starscream asked.

"Sure." Ratchet replied and lead Starscream to the part of the medbay where Knock Out was knowing that the seeker was worried about his best friend.

Megatron watched them go back just then a space bridge opened and Smokescreen and Windblade came out and explained that they wanted to help out anyway they could after hearing about what happened to Knock Out and Starscream.

And Megatron agreed that they could both stay at the base hoping the two Autobots could help since things hadn't been going very well so far since it was the first day and a member of the team was already in critical condition.

Later that night Megatron noticed Starscream was still in the medbay and went back to see what was going on and why the seeker hadn't come out.

And when he entered he found Starscream setting next to the berth Knock Out was in with his wings down not noticing the former warlord standing in the doorway.

"I'm so sorry Knock Out, If I hadn't taken off you wouldn't have been out there looking for me and you wouldn't have run into Kaon, and you wouldn't have gotten hurt, This is all my fault Megatron was right all I do is mess up, You would all be better off without me." Starscream apologized to his best friend blaming himself for everything.

"That's not true." Said Gage who entered from the other door to the medbay that had been made just for the humans to use. "Soundwave told me that when he and Megatron got there they saw you using your body to shield him from being zapped and you saved his life."

"But he wouldn't have been in that situation if it wasn't for me." Starscream pointed out.

"No that was my fault you flew off because you were upset I'm sorry for rejecting you as my guardian early but it had nothing to do with you, You see when I was six my parents went on a business trip and the plane they were on crashed and there were no survivors so my Uncle raised me and my brother,"

"Then when me and my older brother Levi grew up he became a fighter pilot and then one day I received news that his jet was shot down and he didn't survive they said they got him out of the wreckage and rushed him to the hospital but he was already dead on arrival." Gage explained.

"No wonder you don't want anything to do with planes or jets." Starscream said feeling bad for him. "I'm sorry for your loss."

"It's not your fault." Gage told the seeker. "Your better then you think you are and if Knock Out was awake he'd tell you that too."

"Thanks." Starscream said feeling better but still worried about Knock Out.

Then Gage left the medbay only to be greeted by Shayna who apologized for over hearing what he told Starscream having come to check on the seeker and Knock Out and also feeling bad for Gage after learning what he'd been through and wanting to comfort him which he appreciated.

Megatron left the doorway before Starscream or the humans saw him not knowing what to say to the seeker after overhearing him and realizing how much he had hurt Starscream during the war.

Then Windblade went into the medbay to check on Knock Out and make sure Starscream was ok knowing the seeker had blamed himself.

"I was flying back when I heard him screaming and when I got there Kaon was getting ready to open the back of Knock Out's helm to get to his processor." Starscream explained.

"Why was he about to do that?" Windblade asked.

"I heard about what Kaon has been known to do to his victims, He was going to take out Knock Out's brain modules and put it in his mouth that's how all of Kaon's victims have been found." Starscream told her very disturbed by what he was saying.

"That's sick and gross." Windblade commented.

"Kaon is a sick and messed up bot all of the DJD are." Starscream replied. "And if I had gotten their just a few minutes later he would've done it to Knock Out."

Starscream let his wings drop trying to shake off the mental image of what would've happened to his best friend if he hadn't gotten to him in time.

"Well thanks to you he didn't and Knock Out is tougher then he looks or let's on, I'm sure he'll pull through." Windblade reassured Starscream.

Neither of them noticed a pair of ruby colored optics come online.

"I'm gonna go after Kaon later and make him pay for what he did." Starscream told Windblade.

"No don't do that I don't want him to kill you." Windblade said to the seeker.

"And I'm in no shape to go after you this time." Knock Out's voice cut in.

"Give us a minute Knock Out, Windblade I have to avenge Knock Out." Starscream said then it dawned on him who he'd just spoke too. "Knock Out your awake!"

"Yeah it takes more then a beat down and a few shocks to offline me." Knock Out smiled until he noticed the damage to his paint job then he almost cried.

Then Starscream and Windblade both promised to help him fix it when he recovered.

And Windblade went and got the other and everyone was glad when they saw that Knock Out was awake and Ratchet ran a quick scan on him and then reported that he was going to be fine after a few days of bed rest.

Then Knock Out teased Starscream and Windblade about liking each other and with they were human they both would've been blushing.

"I totally ship it." They overheard him tell Shayna at one point.

And Knock Out thanked Starscream for saving him, Then Gage and Shayna spoke to them and Gage agreed for Starscream to be his guardian but both humans would ride in Knock Out's alt mode which Starscream was ok with.

And everyone was glad that everything had worked out but would all make a point to be more careful now knowing that the DJD was after them.
