Yami was shaken awake the next morning and sleepily rolled onto Seto's back after being dressed in heavy layers by magic.

Then he put his head down onto a flat spot behind Seto's neck and promptly fell asleep again, because Seto had brought his pillow and wedged it behind two sharp scales on the spiny protrusions along his back.

The wind was icy cold, but a soft barrier cast by Seto's magic stilled the environment around them as they flew through the misty clouds.

Yami struggled to wake up, but every time he looked down and saw fields covered in ice, he closed his eyes again to sleep.

He woke up again when he heard a loud shout from below, "DRAGON!" and now he was really awake.

Seto soared over the rooftops of the crowded city and wondered where he could land without catching attention, and Yami gave him a helpful pointer.

"Alleyway behind the pub with a green roof," Yami pointed a finger that quickly turned to ice when it was exposed to a gust of wind, so he shoved his hand back into his pocket. "It's close enough to my home. You can change into a human form there without anyone seeing. This street doesn't open until night."

Seto nodded and dove down into the narrow alleyway, already changing as he went.

Yami bit back a gasp when they dipped down fast, and his pillow floated in the air briefly when his ass also hovered off Seto's back, but only for a split second before strong arms caught him underneath his body and he was gently lowered down onto the ground to his feet, still clutching his pillow to his chest.

"Good morning," Seto said with a handsome smirk, grabbing the pillow and tossing it into a portal to put it back on their bed, and Yami's face burned.

He lowered his chin to his chest, still remembering vivid scenes of last night–a few hours ago–and his ass thrummed happily.

Seto was reaching his arm into another portal to steal clothes, and after a moment, he was dressed in a long trench coat with a thick, beige scarf, complete with sharp dress shoes.

No wings, tail or horns anywhere to be seen."Morning. My home is this way," Yami whispered, and he grabbed Seto by the arm, his heart thundering at the lovely image of Seto as a human.
He was so handsome!
But he secretly preferred the threatening wings and horns.

Their footsteps were muffled by the fresh layer of snow, and Yami noted nothing had changed about his street at all in the months he'd been away.

He stopped at a small wooden door with the 'closed' sign at the window, and knocked.

"Yugi?" Yami dared to call as loud as he could, not wanting to wake the late. Someone from the upper floors was peeking out.

Seto glanced up and noticed a human snooping, so he rested his hand on the doorknob, casting at the same time he twisted the lock open, and pushed the door aside for Yami to go in.

Last thing he wanted was someone reporting him to the Demon Lord for lurking around the towns for 'no reason'.

Yami stood inside the dusty shop and heard Yugi's footsteps pattering down the stairway, and he saw the end of an iron fire poker first, before he saw Yugi in his plain blue pajamas, shouting at him, "INTRUDER! …Grandpa, don't come down–" Yugi hiccupped and dropped the iron stick with a clang on the ground, making a giant dent in the wood floors.

Yami winced. Their floor!

His face was smothered by spiky hair as Yugi wrapped him in a hug so tight, his vision turned green, and Seto had to step back to give them some space.

Yami had a brother who looked exactly like him!

What was this human phenomenon called?

Doubles…?

…..Twin!

Seto held his hand out wearily to fix the big crack in the ground with magic and tried not to be affected by all the blubbering happening.

"Y-You're alive! …Is this Brickberry?!" Yugi fixated on the designer pattern on the inside lining of the coat, and Yami was instantly being hugged again. "Are you okay? Oh you smell good! What's this perfume?!" Yugi leaned in to sniff Yami's chest intrusively, then leaned away to beam into his face before finally acknowledging there was a handsome stranger towering behind him.

W-Whoa.

"Yugi, this is–"

"Demon Lord's errand boy," Seto interrupted, not wanting any humans to know he was a dragon walking around trying to fix a stupid mistake that might cause a war. "Yami. I'll be back to collect you in three days, hopefully less." Otherwise he was fucked.

"Hopefully less," Yami said seriously, and Yugi gasped, shaking his head and looking between the handsome stranger and his twin. WHY LESS?! MORE!
A week or more?! Wait, how did Yami get out?!
Was this some kind of…special visitation rights?!

Seto nodded, and Yami stopped him with a brief request, "could you please leave us some money for food? I want to treat Yugi to amazing meals while we have the time together."

Nodding again, Seto reached his arm into a portal and stole from Joey's treasury, handing over two stacks of 10. That should be enough?

"Come find me at the gates if it's not enough," Seto said, seeing Yami's twin fall to the floor on both knees with a thunk, probably shocked at the outward magic casting from a 'human'.

He shut the door behind him and heard Yugi's shrill voice echoing through it, "HOW DO YOU HAVE SO MUCH MONEY?! ….Is this what it's like living in a dragon's lair?!"

"It is incredible," Yami chuckled, handing Yugi both stacks of money. "I'll have my dragon open portals to send you money, clothes, and food whenever you want, okay? Right now, there's an…ah, top secret mission going on for the Demon Lord, so I'm able to visit you for some time."

Yugi gaped and nodded tearfully.
W-Whatever! He was grateful Yami was alive, looking healthy, slightly muscular, and extremely well-dressed! Would it be rude if he asked to have the same coat in the same color?

Yami heard slow footsteps padding down the stairs and he gave his grandfather a warm smile, "Hello Grandpa. I'm home for a bit and I come bearing gifts."

The old man sat down on the lowest step with a slow squat and gave his grandson a calm, loving nod. As expected. Yami managed to tame a dragon and come back alive…with gifts!

Judging by that giant pile of gold and the smart coat his boy was wearing, they were going to be moving up very soon.
