Hey Guys, MegaSalamence64 Here, Welcome back to another Mermaid Legends of Paldea Chapter,
Sorry if This Chapter came later then Usual (Been Busy with other stuff, That's why… My Bad…)
But Hey, At least this Chapter is still a thing at least….
Also, Pokemon Horizons is going to feature More of Paldea with it's Next Arc, Thank Arceus for that at least (Given how Galar was basically Shafted in the Long Run in Journeys and Yeah, Galar has some curse it can't get a good story in the Long Run since the Anime and Manga of SwSh Sucked as well like Game!SwSh)
With Both Penny and Nemona in the Anime (Since none of the Galar Rivals didn't appear by this Point (Episode 45) in the Anime), We just need Arven (And Kieran/Carmine) and we're good.
Cause if Paldea at least gets a Good Anime Adaptation, It'll be at least truly better then Galar since the Latter really got screwed over big time by Journeys as well.

Chapter 4: A First Encounter Part 2

World of Pokemon, Land of Kitakami, Mossui Town, Earlier During the Fight with Nemona and Carmine:
"Use Flamethrower Ninetails!" Yelled Carmine as her Fire Fox fired a Stream of flames at her foe, Which Nemona smirked back at this, No doubt having a Plan in mind
"Dodge with Dig Pawmot!" Nemona said to her Pokemon as her Pawmot gave a Thumbs up before he dug underground to strike at her foe, Which he did quickly before Carmine can issue another command to prevent the Possible Dodge form it.
"H-How, That's not suppose to happen!" Scrowled Carmine after Pawmot delivered a Knuckle Sandwich to her Nine Tailed Fox Pokemon as Nemona smirked back to her Foe with Pawmot doing the same. "You can't just Dig out this Quickly!"
"Well, Pawmot's just faster when it comes to attacking, That's all…" Said Nemona as she smiled back to her foe with a smile on her face. "Besides, Battles aren't turned based in real life after all…."
"But that's the Fun of Battles for me, They're always keeping even the best trainers under their toes and keeps them exciting as well"
When Nemona said those words however, Carmine scrowled at what may to Nemona just be an Innocent comment, was in her mind, The Girl her Mother prefers and makes often calls 'the daughter she never has' (Just to keep her Position of Power in Paldea intact)
'Ok she's good, but I'll show her whom deserves Mother attention more!' Said Carmine to herself as no doubt Nemona may have been considered La Prima's 'Daughter' to the public, She'll prove to her that she's her Mother's Child…..
"Pawmot! Use Thunderbolt!" Said Nemona as Pawmot smirked back at this as electric sparks emerge form both his paws as the command was issued,
But for Carmine, The Moment she heard and saw and heard Nemona's Attack, She and Kieran instantly froze, Truma flooding into her mind as she saw Pawmot's sparks, Similar to the electric sparks that often coated her Mother's Tentacles whenever they fail her.
The torture Geeta often puts them through left them traumatized of failure as well as the Pain form being electrocuted entered her mind as she mentally cringed at the malicious and some of the Words:
Carmine knew this battle was important but her fear of the electric shocks was holding her back, which she can only do one thing that isn't panicking in front of her current target of anger right now:
"U-use Heatwave to block it!" Carmine frantically shouted as her Pokemon quickly fired the thunderbolt which Ninetails countered back with a Gust of Hot Air, The two attacks being neutralized
Nemona then noticed the Odd behavior as she and Pawmot looked puzzled at Carmine's Fearful look at the latter with his paws still sparkling with electric energy.
'Ok, That's odd….' Nemona thought to herself as she looked back to Carmine whom was still hesitating at this, 'Maybe it's better to not use electric type moves for now…'
"N-Ninetails! U-use Shadow ball now!" Said Carmine as she issued her command to her Ninetails which she was about to do so… until:
"Alright Pawmot! Intercept with a Mach Punch!" Said Nemona as Pawmot quickly rushed towards Carmine's Pokemon and gave it a Swift Punch to his foe before the Shadow ball can be done
"Now do a Close Combat before she can counter!"
Pawmot then readied his paws as he then delivered a barrage of punches towards his foe, Quickly damaging Ninetails hard, Before doing an Uppercut Punch that Sent Ninetails flying before she was soon crash down afterwards.
Which she has several swirls in her eyes shortly afterwards, Confirming her to be knocked out as well.
'Arceus dammit!' Carmine cursed to herself as she quickly returned her Pokemon back to it's ball with Kieran looking in Fear at Nemona's Pawmot, Whom may not be using any electric moves, Still frightens him as much as she does whenever Geeta would be ready to punsish them.
"Grrrr….." Carmine said to herself in bitterness as she saw Nemona returned Pawmot back to his Pokeball.
"Well, It's been a while Tinkaton but I choose you!" Nemona shouted as she sent out her Pink Hammer Wielding Gremlin of a Pokemon that was part of her Original Champion Team during her First Treasure Hunt.
As soon as Tinkaton was sent out, Carmine's fearfulness was quickly replaced with her Tsundere façade as she scrowled back to Nemona (As no doubt it was bad enough one of the two Girls that her Mother treats better then she and Kieran was in her home Village right now, but she's also wielding the same Pokemon that was considered the Ace of the Other Girl that's somehow on the Elite 4 despite her young age.), Ready to prove to herself she's stronger then the Champion Ranked Trainer that 'stole' her mother's love away form.
"Ok, You got lucky so far Nemona…. But don't think you can win round two!" She snarled as she send out her Starter Pokemon, The Grass and Ghost Type Convergent Species to the Galarian teatime Ghost Poltchagiest named Sinistcha.
"Sinistcha! Attack!"

Present Time:
Juliana felt a Sense of awe looking at the Newly Mega Evolved Mightyena that Nemona was fighting with her Original Starter Meowscarda.
Sure she has seen Mega Evolution before via her Mother's Miltoic Sister (And her Aunt by Extension because of their Mermaid Natures) Athena but she can't forget what happened during that fateful day, When Primal Groudon and Primal Kyogre awoken, And nearly caused the end of the Hoenn Region had not been for a Legend that stopped them before and it's Mega Evolution:
Rayquaza.
She cannot forget when she saw it as despite the crisis of the Two Super Ancient Pokemon of Hoenn that made it hard to focus on it, But The Memory of Rayquaza baring the Symbol of the Delta in it's Mega Evolved State would remain in her mind when she saw it when and her Tribe were evacuating to safety form the Intense storms caused by Primal Kyogre.
It was hard to describe the Feeling but seeing the Sky High Pokemon was like one seeing Arceus himself in the Flesh, A Sense of Regalness exerted by the Legendaries no doubt.
"Juliana, Juliana! Are you there?" Arven questioned back to her in Concern as Juliana looked back to her Crush.
"Oh eh, Sorry Arven, It's nothing, It's just seeing Mega Evolution brings some memories back at least…" The Mermaid answered back to Arven as her body shock a little form her crush as she let out a Palafin Squeak form her mouth.
"Well that's nice to hear…I admit, I never really dwelled on Mega Evolution much, But I'm glad you're ok at least…" Arven said back to Juliana with a Smile.
"Still, I suppose this is a first, Nemona facing a Mega Pokemon… Let's she's if she's can back her bite compared to Geeta at least…" Said Penny to her Friends as no doubt Geeta's Questionable Team enters her mind, Which the Mention of the Top Champion of Paldea went unheard by the Kitakami Siblings (Which Penny also caught a Brief change of emotions as it did)
"Behold Nemona, Meet Mega Mightyena," Sneered Carmine as she glared back to her Foe.
"Prepare to taste defeat here in Kitakami! Mightyena! Use Hyper Voice!"
Carmine's Mega Evolved Dark Type Hyena Pokemon soon fired a Barrage of Sound Waves form her Mouth, Which were emitted with a Dark Purple Hue, Which Meowscarda quickly covered her Ears to block it, Which still stuns her for a while however.
"Now Double Edge!" Yelled Carmine as her Mega Mightyena then Slammed into Meowscarda with a Shadowy Aura whom was knocked back form not being able to move as quickly nor hear Nemona's command to dodge.
"Meowscarda! Are you ok?" Questioned Nemona as her Pokemon answered back with a "Nya!" and a look to assure her trainer.
'So I guess Mega Mightyena has an Ability similar to Pixilate then, Interesting…" Nemona thought to herself as she looked at the Hyper Voice and Double Edge as no doubt it's likely Mega Mightyena likely has a Ghost Type Version of it if the Soundwaves caused by Hyper Voice are Ghost Type as well.
"Chilling Water now!" Said Nemona as her Starter then threw her Flower Bomb, Which instead of Exploding with Grass Type Energy, A Gush of Water dousing her Foe and lowering her attack in the Process.
"Grrr…. Use Posion Fang Now!" Carmine yelled to her Mega Evolved Pokemon which it glared back to her foe which she lunged with Posion Coated Fangs.
"Dodge and use Double Team!" Nemona shouted as Meowscarda dodged the attack and proceed to split into Several copies, Which only Serves to Infuriate Carmine some more.
"Now use Shadow Ball on the Copies!" She shouted as her Mightyena then uses her Three Heads to fire a Barrage of Shadow Balls at Meowscarda's Copies.
The Copies were soon destroyed one after another… but it was part of Nemona's Plan as she smirked at this before saying her new line of attack on her foe:
"Flower Trick now!"
Meowscarde then Snapped her Fingers which a Spotlight soon appeared suddenly under Mega Mightyena as one of the Magician Cat Pokemon's Flower Bombs suddenly dropped onto her, Dealing massive damage in the Process.
'Why, Why, Why! Why Is Nemona this Strong!' Carmine scrowled in anger, No doubt the desire to beat the Girl her Mother favours more (Just to keep her Power as Paldea's Top Champion) is starting to get worse as Kieran looked back in fear at Nemona's strength in comparison to his own Sister as even with Mega Evolution, Mightyena is clearly on the loosing side.
"Well Carmine, I Suppose it's not much but it's time to finish this!" Said Nemona as she smirked back this as Meowscarda did the same as well.
Nemona then took a Tera Orb as Carmine smirked to herself, No doubt believing that the Former is ready to throw in the towel now…
'Tch, Prefect, Nemona, You just set yourself up for Failure, Since Terastalization can only make Pokemon Pure Types and since you lose your Dark type if you do this, I say it's game over for you soon…"
"Alright Meowscarda, Time to Terastalized!" Shouted Nemona as she held her Tera Orb as it absorbed the Energy before she tossed the Orb towards her Original Starter, Covering in a Cluster of Crystals, Which the Kitakami Siblings held a rare moment of happiness as they knew Nemona's Terastalization was about to be her own downfall for this fight….
But to Carmine and Kieran's Surprise, Nemona's Meowscarda was not a Tera Grass Type but a Tera Fairy Type as in place of the Flower shaped Crystals for a Tera Grass Type was a Pink Heart Crystal surrounded by Angelic Wing Crystals.
'Tch, So she's actually clever enough to change her Tera Type to a Type that would make most of her weakness not as effective!' Carmine scrowled to herself as she knew she celebrated Victory too soon.
"Well, you think you're so tough because you Terastalized into a different type that isn't Grass, Cause I'll counter back with Posion Fang!" Said a Frantic Carmine as her Mightyena rushed towards her Foe with the Fangs of her Three Heads coated with Posion once more.
"Leap in the Air and Counter with Triple Axel now!" Shouted Nemona as her Terastalized Starter nodded back in agreeement
Meowscarda then leaped up, Moments before Mightyena could sink her Teeth into her Foe's Body as well, With the Grass Cat Performing three Consecutive Kicks coated with Ice Type Energy to knock Mightyean Down.
"NO!" Yelled Carmine as she and Kieran looked in worry at their foe whom was still kicking despite not being Mega Evolved like Mightyena was as Nemona smirked back at this.
"Alright Carmine, it's check mate!" The Champion Ranked Student council President said as she smiled at this turn of events
"Meowscarda! Use Play Rough with Night Slash now!" Issued Nemona as her Starter meowed out in agreement at this.
"Nya Meow!"
Nemona's Meowscarda then rushed towards her Foe with her Claws covered with Dark Type Energy as her body radiated a Pink Aura, Dashing directly to her foe.
Causing a Large Cartoony like Smoke in the Process, Which everyone present not able to tell what happened under the chaos of the attack.
As soon as the Smoke faded away, The Victor was revealed:
Nemona's Meowscarda with Carmine's Mightyena down for the Count as Swirls were present in her eyes form this and her Spectral Heads are nowhere to be seen.
"So I guess Meowscarda's the winner then…" Said Penny as Carmine's Mightyena reverted back to Normal due to fainting.
"I Suppose…" Said Juliana as she and Arven looked back in Shock at this, Tastu and Goo looking in awe at the Power Nemona's Original Starter had as well.
"You did it Meowscarda!" Said Nemona as her Original Starter smiled back to her Trainer as the Terastalization faded away.
"Meows, Nya Nya!" Said the Magician Cat Pokemon as she hugged her Trainer in joy at this, No doubt happy to win the battle for her.
"Sis…." Kieran admitted in concern while shotting a glance at Juliana as Carmine can only glare back in anger at Nemona as she looked to her foe while she recalled Mightyena back to her Pokeball.
"Y-you just got lucky! That battle doesn't C-"
"On the Contrary Carmine, I think it does…" Said Mrs. Briar as she, Jacq and Raifort soon arrived on the Scene
"M-Miss Briar! I didn't expect you to be here so soon!" Said Carmine in shock as she and her Brother looked back to their teacher and the Woman their Mother wants them to spy on to ensure she doesn't interfere with her plans.
'Well Carmine, I Suppose you have quite the way to introduce yourself to our Friends form the Narjanja Academy…" Said Ms. Briar as she turned to her students. "I'll have to talk to you later after this…"
"But Ms. Briar! I just had to B-" Carmine protested before she was interrupted.
"And as usual Carmine, You have quite the Temper as always…" Said an elderly Man as he approached the Blueberry Academy Students.
"W-what, Mr, Caretaker! I didn't see you here!" Said Carmine as she and Kieran looked back in worry.
"I'll let it slide for now you two but as much as you have issues with Foreigners Carmine, We have to treat them with Respect….Consider this strike one for now…" Said the Caretaker with a Firm tone as Carmine back away sliently form this.
"Wait, Carmine and Kieran are form here?" Juliana questioned to Ms. Briar whom nodded back.
"Well, Carmine and Kieran here form Kitakami, But they're quite scrective to say the least… They're not exactly our most social students as well…" She answered back to them, Which interested Penny when she said it.
'Not being social… That's interesting…' Penny thought to herself (No doubt remembering her own behavior as well as Carmine and Kieran's Odd Reaction to hearing Geeta's name as well since she was similar in a way because of the abuse she suffered form both her Mother's Abuse and the Bullys tormenting her and her friends in Team Star which is why she wasn't social outside of Online as well) as the Caretaker looked back to the Group.
"I see you four are the Students form Narjanja Academy with the two Adults behind Mrs. Briar are two of your Teachers right?" He questioned as Juliana nodded back.
"Yup we are!" Said Nemona as Arven and Penny did the same as Juliana and responded with a nod as Jacq and Raifort did the same as well.
"Well then, Since Carmine and Kieran are form Kitakami, This Community Center will be where you four and your teachers would be staying for the night, Follow me…" He said as he entered the Community Centre.
'Well that's Arceus Level of Convenient….' Said Arven to himself as he looked back to the Siblings whom are still feeling some fustrations over the battle, No doubt best to leave them alone for the time being.
But it appears they're also eyeing on Juliana to some extent as well during the battle, in an odd fashion like it was almost like they have plans for her as well, And while it's best not to act so irrationally for now, Arven doesn't trust the way Carmine was eying his First Friend/Little Buddy/Crush as well.
"Arven, Are you ok?" Juliana questioned with concern to her Palafin Nature reacting to her Crush's Concern look.
"It's nothing Julie, Don't worry about it…" Arven answered back as he Decide to not dwell on it for now and wait for tomorrow on the matter with Carmine and Kieran and their behavior on Juliana.
Soon, Juliana, Arven, Nemona and Penny followed the Caretaker into the Community Centre to get rested for their Frist night in Kitakami.

Some time Later, Community Center, Dinning Room:
"Well, I have to admit, The Food is good at least." Said Arven as the Group (And some of their Pokemon) are currently eating some traditional Kitakami Food for Dinner after they washed up with Mabostiff by his side.
It's been an Hour or so and the Group are currently sitting on the Table of the Community Centre's dinning room with some chit-chat being currently held by them (Jacq and Raifort are eating by another table)
"I Suppose, It's still hard to use Chopsticks as someone form Galar…." Said Penny as she struggled to lift her Noodles with her Chopsticks before she looked back to Nemona whom she, Her Skelidrege, Meowscarda and Pawmot are eating their meal quite nicely (At least her and the Latter two Pokemon, Skelidrege is quite the big eater to say the least) as well.
"And I'm still surprised how well you're doing Nemona, you're pretty used to this to say the least…."
"Well, I been to business Parties with my Parent's Company, So It's stuff I eaten whenever I'm in Places like Sinnoh and Hoenn…" Nemona answered back with a shrug, No doubt this is part of her pre school life when her parents took her to any Business Event or Rich People Party (Especially those in the Kanto, Johto, Hoenn and Sinnoh Regions) as Juliana has just finished her side of grilled basculin and Rice (Carefully to not eat like a Pokemon and expose her Mermaid nature as well).
"So Juliana, I take you liked the Food here?" Nemona questioned back to her Battle Bestie as the Mermaid smiled back to her with her fangs.
"I suppose…" Said Juliana as she let out a small Palafin Click (To not alert Raifort or Jacq about it) as she took out her bag.
Juliana then took out a Small Bag of Pokemon Food (For Water Type Pokemon to be exact), Which she then opened up as she took out some pellets for herself and her Pokemon currently Out (Tastu, Pala and Quaval) which they soon munched onto the Pokemon Kibble afterwards.
"You eating Pokemon Food would never stop shocking me Juliana…." Said Penny as she locked back to her Mermaid Friend, Still not used to how the Hoennian Girl was an Actual in the Flesh Mermaid.
"Well, I'm part Pokemon in a way, But I suppose the Food is decent at least… I just prefer my Family and Arven's Cooking…" She answered back with a Small Palafin Chuckle as well.
"Aw thanks Juliana!" Said Arven as he smiled back at the Praise he has gotten, The two Students felt a sense of blushing and increased heartbeat form their crushes effecting this turn of events.
"No Problem Arven!" Said Juliana as she still felt her crush's Praise still effecting her before turning to her first Paldean Friend "So Nemona, I'm surprised you can terastalized your Meowscarda here, I thought Terastalization is something that occurs only in Paldea…"
"Well Juliana, I once heard about a Professor named Friede did Terastalized his Charizard in the Galar Region once, Plus I don't think like Dynamaxing, Terastalization is only something that is purely in Paldea because of this news, But I suppose it's not something to worry about for now at least."
"Well that's interesting… But I suppose you can't use Terastalization now since I don't think you can charge your Tera Orb here without any of the Equipment for Tera Orbs like in Paldea…" Penny added on as her Veevees are currently out of their Pokeballs as well.
"Well, The Funny thing is, After I went to heal my Pokemon with the Nurse Joy outside the Community Centre, My Tera Orb was also charged as well here…
"Interesting…" Said Arven as he recalled the Topic of Terapagos entered his mind as while he doesn't trust Briar for how similar she's being like his Mother, This is no doubt interesting him at least. "Tell me more you guys…"
Soon the Conversation continued as the Four Friends talked about the Terastalization that Nemona did before they moved onto talking about Carmine and her Mega Mightyena, No doubt the Siblings they fought would be something they're going to be dealing with for their time in Kitakami as well.

Meanwhile, Outside the Community Center:
"Well, that stinks…" Kieran sighed in a defeatist tone as he and his Sister are heading back home. "We got humiliated by Nemona and made us look bad in front of those Narjanja Students…"
"And to think we'll half Paldean because of Mother as well, We'll never get Juliana now at this rate…" He continued as the Cecaelia was about to expect his Sister to lash out at him as usual, But instead:
"…You know what Kiki, We'll try to get Juliana tomorrow…." Said Carmine with a scrowl and hissing noise, Her snake tongue appearing briefly as well form her mouth. "We MUST GET HER for Mother's plans to succeeded as well…."
The two Cecaelia siblings soon returned back home, with not much talking but a sense of dread knowing if they fail to get Juliana,
They'll be massive consequences form their Mother about this.

Author's Note:
Well, This Chapter is mostly wrapping up the Carmine/Nemona Fight as well as give Nemona a First Exposure to Mega Evolution (Given how she's used to Terastalization)
Hope I did a Decent Job with the Mega Mightyena stuff, It's not much but I do hope you enjoyed it at least.
And Yeah, Nemona's Fighting Style in my Story takes Cues form Ash's Style so do expect Nemona to pull out some of Ash's Battling Style for her Battles as well.
And Since I'm doing the Anime Battling Style with elements of the Games being more present, This would mean expect
(Also, Nemona's Meowscarda's Tera Type is Fairy to differentiate her form Skelidrege given what I planned for this Fic, It's to show her being Nemona's OG Starter in this Story as well.)
That said, Don't worry, I'll try to avoid some of the More WTF Moments of the Anime for my Pokemon Battles in this Fic, So no Thunder Armor at least, But Stuff like how the Anime Potrays Double Team would be in this fic for sure however

Once again, to explain some Stuff in this Chapter:
-Juliana's Seeing Mega Rayquaza before she moved to Paldea: You may have noticed in Mermaid Legends of Paldea, Juliana being form Hoenn (As mentioned in the Prologue), So I figured I should include some Nods and Details to the Events of Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire as well at least.
Yeah, Juliana has some exposure to Mega Evolution (Via her Mother's Milotic Sister/Aunt (This is due to the Merfolk being similar to the Diamond/Pearl Clans where Pokemon are like Family to them if you're wondering) but Seeing Mega Rayquaza was basically a bit of a Moment of awe for her in a way….
So Mermaid Legends of Paldea follows a Different timeline in terms of what Mainline Games occurred at this point but the Events of the Games still occurred the same as well (Though Hoenn occurs at the Same time as the Events of B2W2!Unova however)
So while events of Most Games remain the same, When they occurred however occurred differently (But in General, Johto still occurred after Kanto and the Events of B2W2 are after the events of BW like in Canon at least)
But I'll do my best to not overcomplicate things about this at least (Especially given how Kingdom Hearts turned out at least), So don't worry on it,
Though the Events of XY, ORAS, SwSh, Legends Arceus, Platinum, Black 2 and Obviously Scarlet would be plot points here, So expect those to be a thing here.
(Also, On a Side note, I still find it amusing I have two Families form Hoenn in my Stories that are Main Characters (The Pikachu Family in my Smash Bros World of Light Deluxe-Verse Stories and Juliana's Family in this Fic/Mermaid Legends-Verse)
Just a Funny Coincidence but those little details can be amusing in the long haul at least.
-Carmine's Behavior around Electric Type Moves: Ok, This would count as an OOC Alert thing for Carmine, But yes, This is the First signs I'm including about Geeta's Parenting in this Fic (And this is why I warned you guys about my Take on Geeta, I'll let you be the judge when the moment I mentioned eventually happens…)
And Let's just say Mermaid Legends of Paldea, Carmine and Kieran's Characters were sort of Planned out before their Canon Personalities are revealed to us, So this is moreso like I mentioned of Carmine's Canon Tsundere Personality being a Façade to hide the Abuse Geeta does on her and Carmine.
But back on topic, Carmine and Kieran's Fear of Electric Shocks is one of the Side Effects of Geeta's 'Parenting' (Where she often electrocute them whenever they fail her), So the siblings freeze up whenever they see electric type moves as well…
But for Carmine's Morpeko, It does exist in this Fic and I do have an Idea to explore it however.
-Similarly, Carmine and Geeta's Abuse on her and Kieran as mentioned in the Flashback: And Related to the Above, Yeah, This is what I meant by how you're going to hate Geeta, Cause I'm making her one of those Classic Villains whom aren't redeemable and very power hungry.
Now I Suppose Geeta's Potrayal here is basically if I can at least a Better Villain then Both Chairman Rose and Gabriel Agreste while also Improving Geeta's Character in a sort of, Villainous Way (Also, Indigo Disk did Buff Geeta's Team as well, So there's that for Team building but the DLC theory of Geeta being a Villain oddly works quite well if you ask me, But I can understand why they didn't do it especially after how Badly Handled Rose was in SwSh and Likely why Team Skull was made due to the Backlash to Team Flare at the Time as well.)
Similarly, Geeta's not above threats and blackmail to keep her power intact, So that's why Carmine and Kieran's Abuse was kept a Secret (And their relationship with her) with both Hideko and Yukito being blackmailed by Geeta as well (Geeta threating to kill both her Kids to her Parents in Law should they try to expose her Abuse/Corruption is one of things she does to say the least)
But for those whom are wondering, Rest assured I won't be puling any of Astruc's infamous moves (Especially regarding Chloe and how badly handled her Character is beyond the Failed Redemption (And Astruc's Pig-headed behavior when his online as well) while also having the WTF idea to Redeem Gabriel whom has done nothing to prove he's redeemable despite what Astruc's narrative says), So rest assured while Geeta's not going to be Redeemed in this Story, She's not going to be a Joke like Chloe nor a Karma Houndini like Gabriel at least.
Plus, I plan to make her Villainy more like both Ursula form the Little Mermaid and Mother Gothel form Tangled at least, So there's that if you're wondering about Geeta's Villain Style (Volo's style is basically him in Canon Mixed with Elements of the Joker on that side note)
And also, Carmine and Kieran are Half Paldean because of Geeta being their Mother in this Fic (Their Father and by extension Geeta's Husband is form Kitakami however)
-Juliana Eating Pokemon Food (And her Liking Arven's Cooking): Yeah, Juliana eating Pokemon Food is one of her Merfolk's Traits,
And If you're wondering, The Whole Deal about Merfolk, Is that they're Pokemon/Human Hybrids (Same with Cecaelia) in this Story, With Merfolk not only having Taste Buds more inline with Pokemon but also preferring to eat Pokemon Food as well compared to Human Food… (They Prefer Pokefood and Berries compared to say Human Cooked Meals for example)
HOWEVER! There is ONE Exception to this, Merfolk then to like the Cooking of those they are in love/a Relationship With (Like with Arven for Juliana), But it's just one of their Quirks though, So don't worry about it.
(As for the Cecaelia, They lean towards the Human Side of things however, But as for their Opinion on Pokemon Food, You'll have to wait and see for that…)
The Mentioning of Friede: Yeah, The Rising Volt tacklers like the Paldean Winds Trio exist in the Mermaid Legends-Verse as well… (Basically it's a Shout out to the Scene in Horizons where Friede Trestalized his Charizard in Galar in Episode 25, Hence why Nemona was willing to risk it)
But their inclusion is mostly for lore reasons surrounding Terastalization since like Horizons, I'm going with how it can work outside of Paldea/Kitakami/Bluerberry Academy but to keep it balance:
You need to Recharge your Tera Orbs in either of the Three Locations above, So if you used Terastalization in Alola, You need to Recharge your Tera Orb in Paldea/Kitakami/Blueberry Academy at least afterwards.
