I already explained a lot about this review via our PM Conversations, So I'll keep it short for this one:

As mentioned before, Thanks for the Critisims and Feedback about this Story! ;)

I'll keep them in mind as much as Possible so don't worry about it, I'll try to tone down the ANs and Not Spoil scenes in the Fics as well

But I'm glad to hear that I was able to handle the Cast well (Save for Geeta due to her Adaptional Villainy) as well as the fact you consider my Character interactions are the best part of this fic so far as well.

Carmine especially Since I was worried for how the Alterations made to her would turn people off (Since her Tsundere Personality is a Façade in this Fic) but what you said make sense and Glad to hear I did Her and Nemona's Battle in the last two chapters well enough at least.

Welcome back to another Mermaid Legends of Paldea Chapter! ;)

Before we start the Chapter, I Should share my thoughts on the Start of the Terastal Arc in Pokemon Horizons at least (But I'll keep it brief to not keep you folks waiting on the Story at least):

Yeah, I Say it's safe to assume that the Staff on Horizons have officially learnt their lesson form the Fiasco that was Galar being Neglected in Journeys (OK, Granted, That Season was meant to be Ash's Swan Song before his Departure (So the Lack of Galar Focus can be slightly understandable) but it really does stink that Galar didn't get the Same Redemption that Kalos gotten via XYZ as well, Seriously, They Can at least allow Bede, Marnie and Hop to shine and actually make Rose a Decent Character since Diantha and Team Flare got saved by the Anime as well) Since even if The Terastal Training Saga won't be leading to a League like Ash's OS to XY Days, It's clear we're at least going to see ALL of the Paldea Gym Leaders and their Elite Four in some way in Horizons at least.

Now all we need is Arven, Sada, Turo, the rest of the School Staff and Penny's Friends in Team Star (AKA Giacomo, Mela, Atticus, Ortega and Eri) and we're good at least for the Base Game Characters (Plus, Who Knows, Maybe Geeta would get to shine like Diantha did in the XY Anime)

Speaking of Penny, There's seems to an Implication that Horizons takes place after Scarlet and Violet if she's with the Elite 4 right now (This can be good or bad given how Lusamine turned out in the Anime as well as the Anime never actually directly adapting the games most of the time but I suppose Horizons being a Post Scarlet and Violet Story is better for Horizons than a rushed/Watered down Adaptation like with the Darkest Day Episode was for Journeys (Which makes the Galar Focus even worse since we didn't even see the DLC Cast since getting the SwSh Endgame out would logically mean the DLC cast could have a better chance to appear) With Arven and the Paldea Protagnist appearing later down the line as well)

Me Personally, I Hope we do see some elements of Scarlet and Violet's Story get adapted at least with at least Nemona, Arven and Penny as a Group in some fashion despite the Rakura/Terapagos stuff (Heck, Maybe Area Zero IS Rakura or at least tied to it as well)

Chapter 5: A Sign of things to come

World of Pokemon, Land of Kitakami, Mossui Town, Community Center, In the Bedrooms:

"Ok, So I take that things are going well with you and the others you guys?" Questioned Penny as she was currently talking with her Friends in Team Star via her Rotom Phone with her Veevees by her side as well, The Six of them currently snuggling together on her Lap as she was currently on one of the beds of Community Centre's Bedrooms (The Four Students sleep in One Room while Jacq and Raifort

"Yup! All good Cas-I mean Penny!" Said Giacomo as he, Atticus and Eri are currently talking to her via the Former's Rotom Phone as well with the Star Bosses are Currently at the Academy with the Three of them currently wearing not their Team Star Uniforms but the New Narjanja Academy uniforms (That are more Orange coloured then the Plain White ones with Orange Ties) recently made and released sometime before the Academy Ace Tournament has started (Which were made after some Criticisms by the Public about how Bland the Current School Uniforms are for them and pushed into Production A Few Months before she was allowed to return to the Academy)

"Well, save for some of the Occasional wariness caused by Brandy and his gang and those still thinking we should be expelled… It's actually wasn't so bad then we thought… Even Mela's used to compared to our Previous Art Teacher…. And if Mela's being mostly fine with the New Teachers right now, I guess Director Clavell did good at least…" He continued as he quickly banished the Apathetic Staff that once ran the Narjanja Academy, No doubt a major factor to why they're forced to take action into forming Team Star and going so far to make Vehicles with modified Revarooms just to force their bullies to step down (That backfired horribly however and being considered the Villains over an attempt to tell their aggressors to stop tormenting them)

"I Suppose I can understand what you mean Momo…" Penny admitted as she knew even if the Bullies that tormented are gone, The Rumors that her Main Bully Brandy spread before he and his gang fled form the Academy managed to last longer then she thought as well as the Former Academy Staff removing any reports about the Team Star incident just to save face about it.

(Likewise, Deep down, Penny knew This was why Nemona doesn't have much actual Friends initially despite being the New Student Council President as well as becoming a Champion Ranked Trainer in Just a Year due to many people unsure of whether she's like Brandy or not just because of being just as, if not richer then he was and those)

"So where's Mela and Ortega?" Penny questioned her three friends as no doubt Mela and Ortega should be here right now with them, "I thought they'll be here n-"

"We're here now!" Said Ortega as he and Mela soon entered the Picture shown on Penny's Rotom Phone.

To Penny's Surprise, while Ortega was also wearing one of the New School Uniforms as well, Mela was still in her Team Star Uniform and her Hair also still as messy and not up to code as well (Not that she's one to talk since she's still not wearing a School Uniform as well even before she met Juliana at the Steps leading up)

"Mela, I take that you're still not comfortable with the School Uniforms right?" The Galarian Girl admitted to her friend whom let a frustration sound of annoyance when she heard the S word form her friend.

"Right about that one Penny, I just don't want to be near any of those school uniforms ok," Vented Mela in a moody tone as Charlos patted her on the back while on the Former's Armoruge

"New or not, I Don't want to be reminded of the Old Me whom got picked on by Brandy and his gang… I don't want to be reminded of the Hell that bastard put me and the others through…" She continued with her bitter tone towards her past hanging on like an Areodactyl carrying it's prey with Sky Drop,

"Well, I get what you mean Mela…" Said Penny as she looked back to her Red Hair Friend as she let out a sigh, no doubt even if her Abusive Mother's currently in Jail for the Abuse she did as well as other things she has done.

She's not exactly comfortable around her Aunt, Uncle or Cousin either even when they're a lot nicer then her Mom (And also actually giving a Damn about her compared to her Obvious father whom turned a deaf ear to his wife's abuse on their only child, Only interested in whatever was on the TV as well, even not reacting much when Peony decides to take custody of Penny after the Child Protection Services agreed he'll be a better guardian for her after her Mother's abuse was exposed and arrested)

"Well Penny, if it makes you feel better, Director Clavell is actually willing to let Mela wear her uniform… That and some time with Nurse Miriam as well" Said Eri to Penny with a smile. "It's surprising to hear that Miriam once worked as a Therapist before becoming a Nurse as well…"

"I Guess she's fine at least…" Mela signed with some mixed emotions in her tone when thinking about the New Nurse/Future Health Teacher, She may be willing to admit Hassel isn't so bad so far but she's keeping her guard up to not risk another incident like the past again.

"So Lady Penny, How's Kitakami so far for you?" Said Atticus as he looked back to Penny, his eyes already showing some degree of infatuation (With a Blush also present on his checks as well)

"Well, it's fine so far at least, Plus Juliana, Arven and Nemona are also Great as well…" Penny answered back, A Slight hue of Pink flustering on her Checks as she smiled back the compliment she has gotten, her mind feeling a sense of surprise as Giacomo shot a Small smirk at Atticus, no doubt the Ninja Posion Type Boss of Team Star has a Crush on his Leader, Though in a way no one would take notice as well.

"Well, I'll have to go now… I'll call you guys again when I get the Chance… Hasta la Vistar!" She said as she did her Team's Pose as best as she could on her bed.

"Hasta la Vistar to you too Penny!" Said the Five Star Bosses as they too did their trademark pose which they soon ended the Call on their side afterwards as well.

'Thank the Heroes that Atticus and the others are doing well…" Penny thought to herself, her heartbeat pumping higher then usual when she thought about Atticus, no doubt already feeling a Shouju style Situation already in the works with the two of them,

Ever since she saw him without his Mask/hood for the Frist time while spying with Juliana to make sure he and the Others are doing ok without, Penny felt a sense of infatuation with the Posion type Ninja and sometime has passed where she now knows the Feeling is Mutal as well with him as well.

But sometimes, She's not sure what to do, since one wrong move could make things awkward between them (and she seen enough bad romance media (Especially that Rather Kalosian TV Show Miraculous Ledian where besides opening some old wounds of her time getting bullied was considered by many the worst Superhero/Magical Girl Romance Story ever) to know all the Dos and Don'ts of Romance as well)

Her Train of Thought was soon broken when her Slyveon Usagi notices Juliana approaching her.

"Oh Hey Penny, How's things with Eri and the Rest of Team Star?" Juliana questioned (With Quaval, Tastu and Pala by her side with the Latter being held by the former and Tastu being on Juliana's Shoulder)

"Doing Well, All of them are getting back to School after all of the Rumors and tensions as well as their own trust issues about the School" Penny answered back with a slight smile with Usagi and Kirkito by her side. "Even if Mela's not exactly comfortable with wearing a School Uniform…"

"But I can understand how she feels though, Mela got the Worst form the Bullies that tormented us before we formed Team Star." Penny continued as she cringed at the Memories of being bullied was hard for she and her Friends (Especially with when she heard other students dismissing them as 'Overactive babies whom can't handle teasing (Which was far from the truth)', Which was another major reason for not wanting her Friends to be expelled and making Operation Starfall) as she banished them to the back of her mind for the time being.

"I see…" Said Juliana as she felt Penny's concern when she mentioned about Mela's (and to some extent the Galarian Girl's own) issues, Her Palafin Nature sensing the stressful emotions Penny is undergoing right now as well.

"But things are fine so far at least, They should be ok for now." Penny answered back with a small smile.

"So how are you right now Juliana? Same with Arven and Nemona, Things aren't going south with you three so far?"

"Well, I just called my own Parents about this and they're also doing great" Juliana admitted as she let out a Palafin Click form her mouth, No doubt her parents despite being away form each due to the whole Primal Groudon/Primal Kyogre Crisis, They're doing their best to stay together as much as possible and raise their daughter as best as possible with Juliana calling her father as much as possible during she and her Mother's time in Paldea.

"Nemona's currently having some time with her Team outside the Community Centre right now" Juliana continued as she remained slient "And for Arven, Well, He's washing up right now, but been deep in thought over Mrs. Briar's words and the Scarlet Book as well…But he's fine at least"

During this, Penny noticed Juliana's tone being more empathized on Arven (Fortunately not in a Yandere/stalker like way at least) especially her body language of shaking with increased blushing

"Still thinking about your Crush with Arven aren't you Juliana?" Penny admitted to Juliana as the Mermaid nodded back,

"You can say that Penny…." The Latter admitted with a Palafin click form her mouth.

"Relax, I'm not going to tease you about your Feelings for Arven nor act pushy about it, but at the very least Juliana, you need to be ready to confess it on it, Don't dillydally over it like how it was done in crappy romance shows… You're just going to make things awkward between you and Arven if you decide to delay it more and more." Penny said back to her friend in a firm tone, No doubt deciding to not tease her newest friend about her feelings for Arven given how she's also having a crush herself right now as well.

"Thanks Penny…." Said Juliana as she smiled back to her Friend, As Their Pokemon smiled back at this (Quaval, Pala, Tastu especially for Juliana with Usagi and Kirito (Penny's Umbreon) for Penny)

"So, shall we talk about the Bathing Schedule at least for Tommorow?" Penny questioned back to her Mermaid Friend, "The Sooner we can discuss it, The better…"

"Sure, I'm up for it…" Juliana answered back as the two of them noticed Arven and Nemona returning as the four friends began to discuss plans for tomorrow, like how they'll handle bathing without risking Juliana's Mermaid Nature being exposed as well.

The Next Day, In the Community Center's Washrooms:

"Ah, This is the life…." Said Juliana as the Palafin Mermaid felt a sense of Relief bathing in the Community Centre's Bathtub in her True form as her fins and scales shine brightly in the water while she felt her Dorsal fin on her back as well and scales covering her Chest as well with her Gills on her neck opening and closing form this as well.

After not being able to bath yesterday, Juliana was quite happy to be her true mermaid self after quite a long plane ride from Paldea to Kitakami, which she did some laps in the Bath with Quaval, Pala and Tastu by her side as well.

With the Group deciding Juliana should bath first before Jacq, Raifort and Briar wakes up, Juliana decides to make the most of her current time in the water at least.

"(Feels good to be a Mermaid right now eh Sis?)" Quaval questioned as the Quaquaval was currently in the Community Centre's Washing Station/Bath with her Trainer with a Good Chunk of her Team as they too are swimming in the Bath (With Goo, Clod and Peli being outside the Bath however due to not wanting to damage the Bath as well.)

"Sure is Quaval!" Said Juliana as she let out a Palafin and let a smile shine on her face to her Quaquaval Sister/Starter as well as her siblings/team, the Mermaid's scarlet scales shinning in the

With Juliana's Mermaid Nature, She and her Friends agreed to have her be the First to Bath to avoid (Not helped with the 15 Minute Time Limit that merfolk have to go through whenever they're out of a body of Water/the Rain)

"(Well Juli, Are you excited to see what's in store in Kitakami?)" Questioned Peli as he looked back to her Trainer.

"Sure am you guys!" Said Juliana to her Team/siblings as she let out some Palafin Squeaks as well. "You guys are also excited as well?"

"(Sure Am!)/(I'm up for it!)/Goo!/Clod!" Said Quaval, Pala, Goo and Clod as the Four

"(Eh… I Guess….)" Tastu squeaked nervously as the Shiny Tastugiri was no doubt in a New Land so he's was naturally nervous about this as well.

"Don't worry Tastu, It'll be fine…" Said Juliana to her Shiny Pokemon sibling as he smiled back at this.

"(And besides, I doubt that Titan Tastugiri whom bullied you before won't be here so there's that…)" Said Quaval as she smiled back to her teammate, no doubt knowing the Tastugiri's Shyness is due to being bullied by the Final Titan Juliana fought (As well as when she revealed to Arven she's a Mermaid as well), Which the Shiny Sushi-like Pokemon

"(Thanks guys…)" Said Tastu as the Shiny Curly Tastugiri smiled back at this, Juliana smiling back to this, no doubt her newest Pokemon was getting better at not being nervous with some encouragement from her and the others.

The Rest of the Bath continues as normal with Juliana eventually being carried out by Quaval whom she and the rest of her siblings/team carried their Mermaid Sister/Trainer out before any of the adults could wake up as Nemona gave a thumbs up to her battle besties as she began to bath next, With Arven helping watch Juliana as well while they wait for the 15 Minutes out of the water to end so Juliana can return back to Human form as well.

Eventually, Outside the Community Centre:

After everyone else has Washed off (And Juliana back in her Human Form before Jacq and the other Adults woke up as well) and readied themselves for the Day, The Four Narjanja Academy Students (With Tastu, Quaval, Mabostiff, Pawmot, Skelidrege, Meowscarda and Usagi out of their pokeballs and nearby Juliana, Arven, Nemona and Penny Respectively) gathered with Carmine, Kieran and their Teachers as the Nine of them are with the Caretaker.

It was revealed for their assignment in Kitakami would be to take Three Selfies of the Three Signposts that documents Kitakami's Local Legends.

"That's sounds good…" Said Juliana as the Mermaid admitted it's a self learning tour given she's not exactly the best with School work back in the Academy (Even if it's not so bad with Nemona extending a Helping hand as she wants to help her as much as possible as well)

"Indeed," Said the Caretaker with a smile. "I figured it'll be better to experience Kitakami on your own and take this learning experience with at your own pace…"

"He got a point there Julie…" Said Arven as Juliana smiled back to him, no doubt Arven wasn't in School much because of Mabostiff's injuries making him skip lessons as well, So School Work wasn't as easy for him as well, So this is more of his style as well.

"True about that…" Said Juliana with a smile to her Friend/Crush, Whom smiled back to her.

"We already picked whom you'll be in four this, So until you completed the assigement, These would be your Groups" Said Jacq as Ms, Briar as she took out her Rotom Phone and shown the Six Students divided into two groups on it.

"Group one would be Juliana, Penny and Kieran while Group two would be Nemona, Arven and Carmine…" Said Briar as the six students look at each other.

Nemona felt a sense of excitement as regardless of what group she's with, As There's always a chance to catch and battle some Pokemon for her Team while Juliana and Arven both a felt a sense of disappointment of not being together for this (Abit with the fact it's just for this group exercise so it's not so bad at least)

One the other hand, both Kieran and Penny remain netural as the Latter knew she can observe the former's behaviour if the irregular behaviour he and his sister display is just a coincidence or not while the Former admits to himself it'll at least make some progress on the task Geeta gives him and his sister to do.

'Ok Kieran, just remember, Don't do anything to get Penny to suspect you and then you and Carmine would be closer to get your hands on Juliana for mother…' he thought to himself as he was relief Juliana wasn't focused on him now given the Empathic Nature of Palafin Mermaids making things complicated as well.

But for Carmine, she was ready to explode out of anger as she's barely keeping it together for being stuck with Nemona again, Almost like Fate is treating her like it's own personal punching bag.

'Oh for the Love of the Loyal Three, why does Arceus hate me right now!' Carmine mentally cursed herself as it was bad enough to be beaten by the Girl that 'stole' her Mother's attention from her yesterday but being stuck with her right now?

It was almost like Arceus was cursing her for being born as a Cecaelia as well by humiliating her at every single moment right now.

"Well, But before you all leave, We should be giving you all these." Said Jacq as he then took out several incubators for the students.

"Wait are those?" Juliana questioned as She felt a sense of Nostalgia entering her mind when she saw the Incubators as they're found memories of what she had with Goo.

"Yes indeed Juliana, those are Pokemon Eggs…" Said Jacq as the Professor of Biology in the Narjanja Academy took out the Final two eggs of the Six he has.

"These Eggs Are Starter Pokémon Eggs that are form the Blueberry Academy, And Meant to help bridge together the Narjanja and Blueberry Academies and promote friendships between the two schools as well…" Jacq added on with a smile as Nemona and Arven took their Eggs with Penny, Carmine and Kieran doing the same as well (Reluctantly for the Galarian Girl whom was already thinking if she can give the Egg back to the Academy once it's hatched given her closeness to her Veevees and not wanting to abandon one for this new Starter as well.)

"So we figured you should hatch these Starter Eggs as part of an Extra Assignment as well."

"If only the same can be said for Historical Sites and Legends…." Grumbled Raifort to herself as she looked back to the students as no doubt History wasn't given as much respect as she wished it could.

"Well then, you students be careful and safe!" Said the Caretaker as the Students nodded in agreement.

"Well then, Arven, Carmine, Valmos" Said Nemona as she rushed up to the Paradise Barrens much to Arven and Carmine's fustrations.

"Nemona, Come on! Slow down!" Said Arven as Carmine let out a Couple of Grumbles before she followed the two students to their destination.

"So, Which one shall we go first?" Said Penny as the Remaining Three Students looked.

"I Say the one in Loyalty Plaza is the nearest, So there's that..." Kieran admitted as he looked back to Juliana and Penny.

"Sounds good..." Said Juliana with a smile on her face.

"But first, Let's stock up on Supplies first at least..." Said Penny decides to head to the Local General Store to purchase some Healing Items and Food for the Trip while Kieran just looked at Juliana as best as he could to make sure she's not out of his sight.

For Juliana, She was carrying her new Egg in her Arms as the Palafin Mermaid felt a sense of Maternal instincts for her possible new daughter like Goo as well.

But she then shot one look at the General as a wave of mixed emotions entered her mind, when she saw a Strange object at the Community Centre in the Shop doesn't feel right no matter how much she looked at it (If it's even an object since right now, She's sensing as if she's sensing another Pokemon due to her Palafin nature as well)

'What's that?' Juliana thought to herself as the object doesn't feel right at all. It is even an Object if she's sensing it like it's a living being?

"Hey Juliana! Are you coming?" Said Penny as she looked back to her Friend as Juliana decided to not dwell on it for now.

"Ok! Coming!" Said the Mermaid to her friend as Juliana with Penny and Kieran are soon rushing off with The Trio's (With their Pokemon)'s next location being Loyalty Plaza for their first Signpost.

As soon as the Students have left and both Jacq and Briar aren't looking, Raifort decides to do her own goals as she smirked to herself.

'Well, While they're distracted, I suppose I can try to nab that Crystal Orb for Volo…' Raifort thought to herself as she held the two Hisuian-Era pokeballs Volo gave her as well, No doubt his something to help her while he help retrieve the Treasure of Ruins for their Big Plan to get the Devine Tempest (and Juliana due to the Palafin Mermaid being key to get the Ancient Trident in the First Place)

'And once that fool's back's turned, I'll dispose of him be finally getting the respect that should have been mine!' She maliciously thought to herself as she smirked to herself, no doubt she'll show Volo whom's getting the Devine Tempest in the end.

Sometime later, Near Loyalty Plaza:

With Penny's Map on her phone and Kieran's Guidance, The Trio of Students are able to get to the First of the Signs that tell the story of Kitakami's Legends as the Trio arrived at the Loyalty Plaza via Koraidon.

"Thanks Koraidon!" Said Juliana as she smiled back to the Legendary Paradox Pokemon of Cyclizar as he smiled back at her, Licking her in the Process.

"Hahaha! That tickles!" Juliana admitted form this, Penny remaining Silent, Half relief she's not getting licked by the Prehistoric Cyclizar right now but also half wondering how Juliana was so used to being affection compared to her (Even if it's likely because Juliana was half Pokemon and not growing up in an abusive household like she was)

'Wait, Is this really a Legendary?' Kieran thought to himself as he looked back at the Prehistoric Cyclizar-like Pokemon, No doubt it's not a Force of Nature nor a Powerful Beast like the Orge but acting rather friendly like most trained Pokemon are.

He and Carmine heard about Koraidon form their Mother before whenever she's not punishing them for failing her but this was the first time they saw it before in the flesh.

But if it was a Legendary, It's not exactly what he think it was like…. Especially compared to the Orge he looks up to a lot.

"You're really getting attached to that Egg Really quickly aren't you Juliana…" Said Penny as she smiled back to Juliana whom has her Quaquaval, Goodra, Tastugiri and Palafin out of their Pokeballs right now with Koraidon.

"Well Goo did hatch form an Egg after all… Some I'm sure she'll be used to a New Sibling as well." Juliana answered back to her new egg, No doubt already showing some Motherly affections as well given the Merfolk's more Parental side as well.

"Goo!" Said the Goodra as she snuggled to her mama as despite what some may think, The Goodra was already imaging her little sister and playing with her as well.

"Well here it is..." Said Kieran as he pointed towards the Shrine that was made for the Loyal Three:

It was a Traditional Kantonian/Johtonian like Shrine with a Triangular Roof with three Statues of a Dog, Monkey and Pheasant that have a Purple Apron, Hat and Scarf attached to them, Which would look normally fine for the most part…

If not for how barren the Surrounding Area of the Shrine was, Dying Vegetation and Grey soil marking it less of a Heroic Memorable and more of an eerie grave of sorts.

Which Rubs Juliana off in the wrong way as more of an Eeerie feeling was present for her, Which feels poisonous to be near for her as well.

"(Sis, Is something wrong?)" Said Quaval as she noticed Juliana's look of Discomfort on her Mermaid Sister's Face which Pala, Tastu and Goo did the same as well.

"Juliana, Are you ok?" Penny questioned in conern for her Friend as Kieran looked back with a neutral look on his face as well.

"Oh eh, It's nothing severe at least Penny…" Juliana admitted with a tone of half-hearted concern (Which Pala quickly as well noticed as well with the rest of her Pokemon Following suit as well),

"It's just, That Shrine, just gives me an uncomfortable feeling when I look at it…" She continued as looking at the Loyal Three's Shrine/Grave gives off an eerie feeling of discomfort for her (Especially due to her being a Palafin Mermaid means she can sense other living creatures as well)

It was also similar to the feeling she felt form the Strange Object she saw at the General Store as well with no doubt her hoping it's just a Coincidence at least.

Penny then remain slient at this, no doubt she's also being suspicious about something as well too with how eerie the place looks (For a Supposed Shrine made as a Memorable for a Group of Heroes, it's more like approaching the Pokemon Tower in Kanto or even being in Mount Prye in Hoenn instead)

"Well, We'll think about it later…" Penny admitted with a sigh. "Let's get this over with…"

"So before that Penny, You think Nemona and Arven are doing well with Carmine? Same with you Kieran, Would your Sister be fine with Nemona despite what happened the other day?" Juliana questioned back to her Friends, The two of them simply shrugging at this.

"Well, Nemona's a Champion Ranked Trainer and Arven's pretty tough himself so far at least, so they should be fine… But I'm more worried how they'll be dealing Carmine at least, Especially if she's still souring over she and Nemona's Fight recently…" Penny admitted with her arms and hands still locked into a Shrug.

"Knowing Sis, I say I'll be more surprised she hasn't blown a fuse over what happened with Nemona over what happened yesterday at least…" Kieran admitted, Careful not to mentioned how the reasoning for Carmine's Dislike of Nemona nor how he and the former are Geeta's Children as well.

And being stuck with Nemona is the last thing Carmine would want to do anyway as well.

Meanwhile with Nemona, Arven and Carmine, Paradise Barrens:

'Oh for the love of Arceus Nemona! Slow down!" Arven shouted as he and Carmine are trying to catch up to Nemona (Whom was checking out as much as she could so she can make a note to catch whatever new Pokemon she finds in Kitakami) with the Paldean Champion Ranked Trainer already battling against a Probopass with her Paldean Tauros,

"Sorry Arven, but I better keep the Rest of my Team in Active Shape so no one gets left behind training wise as well! And Besides, There could be a Pokemon I could interested in training as well!" Said Nemona as she looked back to her Friend as she then resumed her battle with her new foe, Issuing a Command to her Pokemon as the Paldean Tauros whom slammed into it with a Raging Bull attack.

Arven just simply let out a sigh as Mabostiff licked his trainer to calm him down,

"Thanks Bud…" Said Arven to his Starter as he barked back as well form it.

All while Carmine scrowled to herself as she clenched her fists at Nemona, still both infuriated by her lose to her the other day as well as her hatred for her being treated nicely by her mother when all she and Kiki get are abuse on a regular basis as well.

Back to Juliana, Penny and Kieran:

"Well, that aside, shall we check out the Signpost?" Questioned Juliana as the Palafin let out a small click that Pala followed up on as well to hide her Mermaid Nature form Kieran (Unaware the Male Cecaelia also knows her true nature as well)

"Well, Might as well get this over and done with…" Penny added on as she, Juliana and Kieran proceed to read the story on the Signpost as well:

Long, long ago, there was a Fearsome Orge in the Land of Kitakami,

The Orge made it's home in the moutains behind the Village, frightening all who ventured there.

One Day, The Orge came down the Mountain in a Terrible Rage, Causing Great Rage in the Village.

By Some stroke of Luck, Okidogi, Munkidori and Fezandipiti all happened to be there as well.

The Three Pokemon laid down their lives to fend off the ogre and send it back to the mountain.

In admiration, the people of the village bestowed upon the brave trio the title of 'The Loyal Three'.

Their remains were given a proper burial and Statues of the three were erected above the site.

While Kieran felt a sense of awe form the Legend and the Orge he respected a lot (A Moment of hope for the abuse he and his sister suffered under Geeta's watch), Juliana and Penny both felt mixed about the Legend mentioned here.

Especially with the Former whom's still bothered by the Irregular feeling she's having about the General Store and right now, The Loyal Three's Shrine but the latter was also feeling a sense of Deja-vu over this.

Which they soon took a Selfie afterwards form it, Marking 1/3 of their assignment completed for their Kitakami Trip.

"Well, Ready to head to the Next Signpost?" Said Juliana as she looked back to her Group, Which Penny was about to agree before Kieran interrupted her to it.

"Eh, Hey Juliana, Penny… Can we have a battle right now First?" the Timid Cecealia mentioned as Juliana and Penny looked back In surprise as well.

"Sure, How about a Quick two on two Battle?" Juliana answered back to him as Penny simply just shrugged at this as the Palafin Mermaid smiled back to Kieran. "Me and Penny against you?"

"Alright let's do this…" Said Kieran as the Three Trainers took their spots with Juliana and Penny on one side and Kieran on the Other as they sent out their Pokemon:

"Let's Go Peli!"

"Ready to go Asuka!"

"D-dipplin, Zwelious! Let's do this!"

The Three Trainers sent out their Pokemon with Juliana sending out her Peliper named Peli while Penny decided to use her Flareon nicknamed Asuka and finally, Kieran sent out both a Dipplin and Zwelious, Which was surprising for the Two Narjanja Academy Students

'Well That's new…' Juliana thought to herself as she looked back to this new Evolution of Applin which according to her Pokedex is called a Dipplin as Penny felt a sense of similar surprise as she wasn't aware applin could evolve into a third Pokemon unlike the Flapples and Appletuns first discovered in her Home of Galar.

Dipplin may look odd compared to Flapple and Appletun by proxy of how it doesn't change much form them (With the Apple being Candy Coated as well as what appears to be TWO Applins inside the Apple as well), But no doubt looks can be deceiving as many would say.

'Ok, It may be two on one, but we better be careful…' Juliana admitted to herself as she knew while Kieran may not be using a Mega Evolution like his Sister, Dipplin could be a new one for her and Penny however.

"You're good to go Juliana?" Said Penny as Juliana smiled back to her.

"All good for me and Peli!" She said as Penny smiled back to her before the Galarian Girl turned to her Flareon and asked:

"Alright, Ready Asuka?"

"Flare!" Said the Flareon whom nodded in agreement.

"Ready Peli?" Juliana questioned to her Water/Flying Type as the Peliper nodded back

"(Ready when you are Juliana!)" He said back to her with a nod.

"Alright let's do this!" Kieran shouted as he looked towards his Pokemon.

"Zwelious! Use Dragon Pulse onto Peliper! Dipplin! Use Syrup Bomb on Flareon!"

The Two Pokemon then fired their attacks with a Blast of Draconic Energy for Zwelious and a Blast of Syrup form Dipplin.

"Dodge you guys!" Said Juliana and Penny to their pokemon as they nodded back in agreement.

"But for some reason, The Two Pokemon aren't able to move as fast they normally could which causes them to be blasted by the Attacks.

"Asuka!" Shouted Penny as the Flareon was now Drenched in Syrup as the Flareon felt her Speed being slowed down in the Process, More and more as time passed on, As Peli tries to get back up form the attack.

'Prefect, Supersweet syrup not only makes it harder for Pokemon to Dodge but Syrup Bomb should keep Flareon busy while I Deal with Peliper!' Kieran thought to herself as he then issued his next command:

'Zwelious! Dipplin, Use a double Dragon Pulse onto Peliper!" He shouted as the Two Pokemon then attacked with more draconic Energy.

"Peli! Use Protect!" Said Juliana as her Peliper nodded back in agreement, The Pelican Pokemon quickly summoning a Blue Barrier around himself as the Two Blasts were blocked by it.

'That was close…' Juliana thought to herself, Especially since Peli's not as fast means Protect has to be used more instead.

"Alright use Flame Charge onto Dipplin Asuka!" Said Penny as the Flareon nodded back as she coated herself in Flames and rushed towards the Candy Coated Applin Evolution

"Oh no you don't!" Zwelious use Dragon Rush!" Kieran shouted as his Zwelious charged towards her Foe with a Draconic Aura.

"Peli! Save Asuka by intercepting Dragon Rush with an Air Slash!" Said Juliana as her Peliper nodded back in agreement

"(Here goes!)" He shouted as he fired a barrage of Air Blades which halted Zwelious's approach as the Two headed Dragon was knocked aside with Penny's Flareon rushing towards her Foe Dipplin and knocking it down as her Speed rose slightly form the leftover energy of Flame Charge.

"Ok Dipplin, Counter back with a Gyroball and Close Range Dragon Pulse onto Peli! Zwelious use Dark Pulse onto Flareon while you're at it!"

The Two Pokemon then tried to attack their foes but unlike before, Juliana and Penny quickly made their counter attack.

"Peli! Use a Spining Icy Wind mixed with Air Slash!" Juliana shouted with Penny issuing her attack next:

"Asuka, Flame Charge with Trailblaze now!"

Peli then spun around, Blasting Dipplin with a Barrage of Air slashes and a Close Range Icy Wind, Causing the apple pokemon to be knocked back down while Flareon's increased speed makes it cause Zwelious to be attacked before she can use her attacks.

'Tch, Not good!' Kieran thought to himself as he knew the Speed Decreases are slowly wearing off and Asuka is slowly returning back to normal speed as well.

'Now use Snarl and Energyball onto Peliper and Flareon now!" Kieran shouted in panic as his Pokemon issued his Commands as well.

"Counter with Air Slash/Dodge and use Flamethrower!" Said Juliana and Penny as their Pokemon nodded back in agreement.

"(Heads up!)" Said Peli as the Peliper blasted Kieran's Energyball and fired the Air Slash onto the Dipplin, Knocking it back as well, While Flareon lept into the Air before the Snarl Shockwave can get to her before unleashing a Blast of Flames onto Zwelious which while not effective damage wise, Managed to leave her with a burn and weakening her as well.

'Oh no….' Kieran thought to himself in horror as he realized he's on his last legs with this fight and no doubt one more move and both Dipplin and Zwelious are done for, The Former low on health and the Latter also being burnt as well.

"Alright Penny, Let's do this!" Said Juliana as her Friend nodded back in agreement.

"Alright here goes!" Said Penny also agreeing with her friend right now.

"Peli use Hurricane on Dipplin/Asuka use Superpower on Zwelious!" Said Juliana and Penny respectively as Peli summoned a Huge Storm form his wings and Asuka rushed towards her Foe with an Orange Aura, slamming into her two headed foe while Dipplin was whisked into the Air by the Powerful storm.

Causing a Dust cloud to form the attacks.

Soon afterwards, The Dust Clears as both Dipplin and Zwelious are knocked out in the Process, Swirls present on their eyes and , Which Kieran remained slient at as while it wasn't Nemona he lost to, Juliana was able turn the battle around with Penny also showing some potential as well.

'O-ok, K-Keep it together Kieran, This isn't the actual Battle yet, You can still win this down the line…' He thought to himself as the Cecaelia looked at

"You did it Clod!" Said Juliana as she hugged her Peli in joy, Letting out a small Palafin click in joy,, as the rest of the Team that's currently out of their Pokeballs.

"(Aw shucks, Thanks Juliana!)" Said the Peliper whom smiled back to his trainer as Asuka was doing the same with Penny as well, The Flareon licking her Trainer whom compared to with Koraidon doesn't mind as much.

"Wowzers…. That was something…" Said Kieran as he felt a sense of shock form this as he returned his two Pokemon back to their Pokeballs (But not before giving them Revives to heal as well), now more aware of Juliana's Strength as well, Now having a proper way to judge her before he and Carmine can capture her for Geeta.

"Hey you're not so bad Kieran…" Said Juliana with a smile as she looked back to him. While she gave Peli some Sitrus Berries to recover from the battle with Penny doing the same with Asuka "You surprised us with Dipplin that's for sure."

"T-thanks…" The Cecaelia muttered to the Mermaid as Penny then looked back to the Group.

"Well, Shall we get going?" She questioned as she looked back to them.

"Sure let's go!" Said Juliana as she and Penny withdraw most of their Pokemon (Save for Tastu and Asuka) and their new Pokemon Eggs in their bags as they and Kieran hopped onto Koraidon as the Paradox Cyclizar soon rushed towards the Next Signpost with Penny's Phone map and Kieran's Directions.

Located at Kitakami hall to be exact.

Meanwhile, In the Timeless Woods:

"Well, I have to admit, I never expected to see Hisuian/White Striped Basculins are present in Kitakami as well…." Said Diantha as she and Cynthia are currently investigating the timeless woods in the hopes of finding ties to the Merfolk to Kitakami or even a mysterious Pokemon called the Bloodmoon Beast (Which became a hot topic for quite a while when a Photographer named Perrin tried to take a picture of one and only able to get a blurry shot of the beast) that is rumoured to be one of the likely last remaining members of the recently rediscovered evolution of Ursaring named Ursaluna. "I thought they're only recently rediscovered in the Deepest areas of Mt Coronet as well) with Diantha currently in her Mermaid Form and in a large lake/pound with the two champions checking out the White Striped Basulins in the area.

"Well, it appears with how Isolated Kitakami is and it being a Decent distance form Sinnoh, so some Basculegions were able to find their way here and able to allow a decent population as well." Cynthia admitted as after Dawn returned from Hisui to the Present time, Many Hisuian Variants and Forms have been reappearing in certain areas of Hisui (As well as combined with the Blueberry Academy being able to allow the conditions for Kleavor and the Hisuian Qwilfish line to thrive in it's Teranium has kickstarted a whole swarm of Research Attempts to hopefully bring Hisuian Pokemon back in the Modern era.

"Still, The White Stripe Variants seemed a lot less aggressive then their Unovan Counterparts to say the least…" Said Diantha as the Milotic mermaid let out a Palafin click at this.

"(Can't argue with that Sis)" Said Meera as she was currently talking with some of the Unique Basculins while Auroua and Garchomp are nearby near the Lake, The Gardevior talking with the Alpha Sized Garchomp about their trainers just as Cynthia's Lucario arrived back (Whom the Aura Pokemon went out on his own to find possible clues for the Bloodmoon Beast)

"(No Signs present of Merfolk or the Bloodmoon Beast right now, My Queen….)" Cynthia's Lucario said back to his Trainer as she smiled smiled back to him.

"Lucario Relax, No need to be so formal right now…" Said Cynthia as Diantha smiled back to her Friend.

"Well he got a point Cynthia, We should come back here tonight and try again…" She said with a smile. "We'll have better luck finding it if tonight IS a Foggy night…"

Before any of them can continue their conversation, A Sudden Pink Breeze (that felt like for Diantha and the Pokemon currently out of their Pokeballs the energy/mana of Fairy type moves like Fairy Wind and Moonblast) was felt by the two Champions as Cynthia and Diantha looked around the Area, Their Pokemon showing concern for their trainer as they did.

"(Are you ok Diantha?)" Said Aurora as the Gardevior looked in concern around her surroundings for a possible attacker on her Mermaid Sister while Meera did the same with Garchomp and Lucario remaining Vigilant as they're ready to defend their Partner/Queen.

"It's likely nothing Aurora…" Said Diantha as the Mermaid looked back to her Two Starters/Siblings as she turned to Cynthia, Still thinking about both the Breeze and the strange shadow she briefly saw the previous day.

"Shall we continue our search?" She questioned to her friend, Whom decided to put the mysterious Breeze and shadow aside for now.

"Sure, Let's investigate the Oni Mountains at least." Cynthia answered back as Auroua used her Psychic Powers to levitate Diantha out of the Lake as the Two of them and Meera got onto Cynthia's Garchomp as the Sinnoh Champion and her Lucario jumped onwards as well, the Group soon leaving the woods afterwards,

However, The Pink Breeze was also watching them, Keeping an eye on Cynthia before flying towards another part of the Woods,

Well, The Sighboard stuff, Nothing Much to say here… (Other then Penny admitting how Fishy the whole ordeal about the Loyal Three are as well as Juliana adding her own Two Cents about it and comparing how Rayquaza was worshipped in Hoenn as well)

But Yeah, Penny's going to be getting quite the Focus in the Teal Mask Arc since let's face it, Orgepon's Story would be a good way to truly make amends with her past since she's helping someone whom's

As for Kieran's Fight here with both Juliana and Penny, Hope I did it well here like the one his Sister had with Nemona (Also, I wanted to use the lesser used Members of Juliana's Team so far (If you seen the other Mermaid Legends-Verse Fics), Hence Peli being used here.)

Kieran's Team went through a lot of Alterations in Canon (And even using some of his Old Pokemon in the Epilogue as well), So I figured I'll do similar here as well.

So for Mermaid Legends, I plan to Alter his Final Team to better fit his Cecaelia Nature in this Story as well (Let's just say that I have big plans for his Zweilous (Which Replaces Dragonite on his Final Team) at least)

And Once again, To Explain some more stuff:

-The Scene with Penny and Team Star on the Phone: Yeah, I had to bring Team Star up at least (Even if they're not main Characters, I had to at least acknowledge Penny's Ties with them at least, That and to slip in some Atticus/Penny Shipping for this Story as well)

Now as for the Whole Deal of Team Star having Trust Issues, It's my personal headcanon that besides possible Rumors spread about them, Team Star doesn't exactly trust anyone form the Academy out of their own beef with the Former Academy Staff and not wanting to take their chances with the New Staff as well.

(Likewise, it's also my Headcanon that the Drama between Team Star and their Bullies is why Nemona was in a way Outcasted as well as most the Students are likely wary of her if she's going to be another Bully or not, especially since Brandy (The Leader of the Bullies that tormented Penny and her Friends in this Story) is Rich like Nemona was)

Also, Mela's the Only One still in her Team Star Uniform is my headcanon is that she's the least willing to go back to wearing a School Uniform due to the Bad Memories of being Bullied and wanting to not be associated with them as well. (This is also the Same with Penny given her Family Situation in this Story since Peony's her Uncle via his Wife being the Sister of her birth Mother in this Story and as Penny's Mother is abusive towards her, You can guess why Penny's not comfortable talking about her family in this Story at least),

-The Starter Eggs form Jacq: Yeah, this is basically adapting the Free Sinnoh Starter Egg you get in the Teal Mask form Jacq, But expanded to included the Other Starters of other regions

It's actually Inspired by SEGAsister's Hidden Treasures of Area Zero Fanfic (Basically another Fic where the Paldea Gang are involved in the Whole DLC Storyline ait with the Blueberry Academy being just Juliana going there.) where the Paldea Gang in that Fic also got Starter Pokemon Eggs form Jacq (Which I actually got Permission to use the idea for my own fic as well BTW)

Diantha and Cynthia in the Timeless Woods: Yeah, It's another scene with the Two Champions (And also to showcase the Timeless Woods as well and sneak a Perrin mention as well since I have different plans on handling the Paradox Beasts of Walking Wake, Raging Bolt and Gourging Fire for Mermaid Legends as well)

Also, The Bloodmoon Ursaluna Stuff would be up in the Air for now since I'm trying to not drag this fic too long at least, So Consider this my way of alluding to it if I choose not to adapt it for this story… (I Don't want to drag Mermaid Legends out too long like I did with my First Fic Dragon Wings of Fate)

The Pink Breeze that both Champions Felt? Don't worry about it, It's probably nothing like the Shadowy figure form Chapter 3 at least…
