New Friends
"As I closed my eyes for beddy-bye, I took one last look at the Sun. 'We can play together again when I wake up!' I thought."
"Such a quiet and relaxing place for a nap… If you ever tried sleeping on the Moon, you would know how peaceful it is. Not a single sound which would wake you up. Even with the Sun directly above me, how it mixes with the black starry sky- opposites, like the light and the shadows I saw earlier- gives off a very magical feeling which would only help me dream. If anything, it looked like I was already dreaming before I even closed my eyes. Gosh, I wish I remembered what I dreamed about that day. I would tell you if I did; it was a great dream too but oh well..."
"I woke up next to many of my little doodles of myself in the dust. Some I've accidentally flattened as I've had this habit of rolling around on the ground when I sleep. It's a habit I still do sometimes *giggles*. After a little yawn, I picked myself up and scurried to the edge of the pit to climb out of it. I couldn't wait to explore more of the Moon! Now, you all know how much I struggled climbing out the first time but ever since I've explored the flat sparkly plains outside my hole, I've become much stronger! It only took me about 5 minutes for me to work my way up this time."
"But I was greeted by a shock once I reached the tippy-top. From near and far, I saw that…" I stopped for a bit.
"What is it?" an excited Joe asks. "What did you see?"
"The entire floor was moving!"
"What?"
"Haha, that's very close to my reaction Joe. I was bedazzled! I didn't know how to even think!"
"But then, I noticed the other craters around me. Looking carefully, they all seemed to be moving backward, all at the same speed. Still peeking outside, I started to wonder: where were they going? How could they move? Why were they moving just now?"
"But soon, I realized what was really happening."
"My own crater was the one moving! And it was taking me with it!"
"This made me tumble back down once I realized but strangely, it suddenly stopped… as if it was connected with my actions directly."
"That was strange but as a baby with a short attention span, I decided to just ignore everything that had happened. I've slept enough already; might as well spend the rest of my time playing! And so I boosted myself out. I slithered off to… well nowhere exactly. I was probably just trying to figure out what to do. Maybe I was trying to find another hiding spot from the Sun. I don't remember exactly."
"But then, the crater started to follow me. Like a little puppy- or a BIG puppy!
"It took me a while to notice that something strange was going on behind me. I looked back but the crater froze in place. Feeling suspicious, I made my way to it. I was glaring at it with my tiny eyes, basically touching my face with the tiny slope around while looking at it very carefully. Then I just gave up and slithered back, only for it to follow me again. And so my game of 'Red Light Green Light' went on for a while."
"Finally, I noticed the little shadow of its walls under me. It now was very close to where I was. That's when I knew what was happening. 'Maybe it wants to play with me!' I guessed. I looked at the moving crater one more time. But now, instead of looking away, I covered my face with both of my hands. The crater once again slowly slid its way across to me."
"And all of a sudden, peek-a-boo! I suddenly opened my hands. I remembered the crater actually jumping back in surprise, hee-hee. It then moved back and forth repeatedly, like it was excited. I felt the same way. I have a new playmate!"
"From then on, I have a new buddy that will always follow me, no matter where I went. But not long after that happened, I noticed another crater behind me. It could move too!"
"There were two…"
"Then three…"
"Then four…"
"Then all the other craters were after me!"
"To tease them, I scurried forwards as fast as I could. *Giggles* those craters need to step up their game to catch me! I was basically tailed by a bunch of holes in the ground. I slithered left and right, right and left. The craters would always follow my exact trail."
"Then all of a sudden, I dipped through the ground."
"One of the craters- the closest- caught up with me. It was the winner!"
"To celebrate, I rolled and rolled happily inside. It's my way of hugging it excitedly. And as a reward, I present the pit with my finest creation at the time: a drawing of myself. Then I did another, and another. Until the pit turns to look quite similar to the other one I slept in before."
"Just then, the Sun moved once again to shine its light right on me. Recently, I've gotten quite bored of drawing my face over and over again. Maybe, I can draw the Sun! Since I ran out of room in my current pit, I scurried along to the next one beside me. I looked up and gazed at it directly."
I was giving life to these holes. A personality. A uniqueness to themselves."
"Uh, Moona?" Blue is calling me.
"Yes, Blue?"
"What does u- uu- un… that word you said mean?"
"Uniqueness?" I suggest. "It means that if something is reeeally special! Nothing else in the entire world could match it. Like you Blue! You are a unique puppy!"
"Gosh Moona, how many compliments are you gonna give me tonight?" Blue blushes to me. "You're making me turn as red as a strawberry!"
"Well, you deserve them!" I answer. Then I turn to the rest of my friends. "But even though I praise Blue a lot, all of you are special too! You all have things that make you unique! The drawing of you: nobody could copy it. There's just one in the whole wiiiide world!"

"Wow…" Roary comments as I finish. "That was beautiful!"
"That song sounds… very familiar," says Joe. "But I can't remember exactly."
"Where did you hear this song Moona?" Blue asks me.
"A very dear person sang this to me long ago…" I answer.
"Was it the Sun?" Sprinkles suggests.
"Nope."
"The craters?" Fred follows.
"Uh-uh."
"Well, who is it?" Key asks eagerly.
"You'll just have to wait and see, haha!" I tease. Hehe, even now, I love to tease my friends. But it's because I just love how you guys react. Unlike most people who tease to make others feel bad, I do so to be able to see many of your expressions. By teasing, you make a person express his or her true self without them even realizing it. It's so beautiful to see a person's genuine emotions, whether surprised or excited. I guess when you tease your friends, sometimes it's to show how much you care about them. How you can see their true inner beauty inside them."
Whoops, hee-hee. Sorry for my long ramble. Now back to my story…
