Film opens his eyes to the night sky outside his window. The stares shimmering at him as the horizon line starts to light up a light purple. He slowly sits up and looks over at Bold sleeping soundly next to him in bed. Bold snoring a bit as he cuddles the pillow he lays on. A bit of drool slipping out of his mouth and pooling up onto his pillow. Film smiles before leaning over and gently placing a kiss on Bold's forehead.
"Sleep tight my big boy," Film whispers before quietly slipping out of bed. He covers Bold back up before making his way past his fish tank, where his one goldfish swims up to the glass as it watches Film walk out of the bedroom.
Film walks down the hallway and into the living room before making his way into the kitchen. He slowly walks over to the fridge before opening it up and pulling out a jug of milk. He closes the fridge and opens a cabinet and grabs out a box of cereal. He places it next to the milk before closing the cabinet and moving over to the other one and opening it up to a row of dishes. He grabs a bowl out of the stack before closing the door.
Film places the bowl down and grabs the cereal box. He slowly pours the cereal in as the sun slowly starts to rise over the horizon line. The light pours into the apartment as the night sky starts to disappear. Film places the box back down before grabbing the jug of milk and pouring milk into the bowl. He places it back down and puts the lid back on before opening the fridge and placing it back inside before closing it again. He opens the cabinet and puts the cereal box back before closing it for the last time.
He smiles down at the cereal bowl as he grabs it. He slides open the drawer and grabs a spoon with his mouth before plopping it into the bowl as he closes the drawer back up. With a little pep in his step, he walks out of the room and into the living room. Where he heads to the couch before sitting down on it and placing the bowl between his legs.
Film grabs the spoon with his hoof and starts taking bites out of his cereal. He looks over at the balcony and watches the sunrises over the horizon. Mist fills the air and causes water to stick on to the grass, trees, and buildings of Canterlot. Film takes a bite of cereal as a confused and groggy Bold walks into the living room.
"What are you doing up so early?" Bold asks, scratching his eyes as he looks over at Film happily chewing away at his bowl of cereal.
"I'm getting ready for the Great Cross Equestrian Race," Film responds with a smile.
"Right," Bold responds, turning around as he slowly knods. "I forgot you signed up for that,"
"The race starts at nine, so that's why I'm up so early. And it was your idea in the first place!" Film says as Bold lumbers into the kitchen. "Sorry if I woke ya!" Film yells as Bold disappears into the kitchen.
"You took my warmth away!" Bold replies in a sarcastic child pout. Film lets out a little laugh as he slowly shakes his head. "You are surprisingly warm for a little fella," Bold responds as he walks out with his own bowl of cereal.
"Did you put the box away?" Film asks as Bold walks over to him.
"Yes I did," Bold responds, sitting down on the couch next to Film.
"Good," Film responds, nodding his head as he watches Bold take his first bite out of his cereal.
"So how long was the race again?" Bold asks, chewing his food while he speaks.
"First, don't talk with your mouth full," Film replies, pointing his spoon at him. "And two, it's a week long race around the contry that hits mager cities," Film explains before taking another bite of cereal.
"You're leaving me home alone for two weeks?" Bold responds.
"You're the one that wanted me to do it," Film responded.
"I know," Bold responds, nudging Film with his elbo. "I was just being dramatic,"
"When aren't you?" Film responds rolling his eyes before taking a spoon full of cereal and eating it.
"Far point," Bold responds before taking the entier bowl of cereal and placing it to his mouth. He tilts his head back and slurps up the cereal like a drink. Film shakes his head as Bold chews and swallows the cereal before getting up. "Just don't hook up with a random mare or stallion while away," Bold casually and sarcastly says before walking towards the kitchen.
"I was about to tell you the same thing big boy," Film responds back.
"Look whos calling me a big boy," Bold responds, looking over his shoulder with a cheeky smile and half lided eyes. "That's not what I said in bed," Bold says, turning around and walking into the kitchen. Film pouts as his face turns bright red. A small smile creeps onto his face before he finishes his cereal.

Set up outside the doors to Canterlot Castle is a starting line with a banner saying start in big bold leaters. Along the start path line up ponies ready to wach the racers fly off. Some ponies wear shirts, other hats, some are holding little flags with the name of one of the racers on it. Standing behind the starting line are the group of racing pegisi getting ready for the race as the sun begins to rise up over the day.
"I'm glad you could make it," Rainbow Dash says as Film walks up to her as she stretches her wings. Film clips the racer number around his neck and securing it under his arms.
"I wouldn't miss it for the world," Film replies back with a snarky smile.
"Good," Dash replies, pushing her uper body up and lowering her lower body down in a cobra like pose. "Then I can see your face when I win," Dash responds with a cocky grin.
"You think that now, but you just wach me," Film responds as he unfurls his wings. "You can go fast short term, but I can play the long game," Film says as he flexes and stretches out his larger then normal wings.
"We'll see who's talking when the final day comes," Dash responds as she straitnes back up.
"Having a little banter I see," Soarin says, walking up to the two with a smile.
"I see you've joined in on the race," Film responds as he sees the runer number around his neck.
"Dashie dragged me into it," Soarin says, pointing a hoof at Dash.
"I recommended it," Dash corrects.
"She nagged you and gilt tripped you into doing it didn't she?" Film asks, raising an eyebrow at Soarin.
"Yep," Soarin replies with a small smile as Film folds his wings back into his body.
"I did not," Dash responds, more then a bit irritated.
"How did you know?" Soarin asks, tilting his head a bit as he completely ignores Dash.
"My husband did the same thing," Film responds back. Dash clears her thoat a bit louder then a normal pony would as she looks over at Film. "And Dash nagged me to race her," Dash smiles at the remark and nods.
"What," Soarin says, turning to face Dash. "Am I not enough of a challenge?"
"I know I can beat you," Rainbow replies back, leaning against Soarin's body while looking up at him playfully. "That last time I raced you was…" Dash replies, pointing at Film before scratching her chin.
"Highschool P.E flight class," Film responds with a smile. "I beet her and the rest of the class by a full two seconds,"
"He really shocked us all with that one," Dash confirms.
"How long was the race?" Soarin asks, looking over at Film.
"Half a hoof dive and then another half a hoof race up to the finish line in a spiral shape," Film explains.
"I can't beilive you remember that," Dash replies as Soarin wissels in awe.
"It was the one time I got the smug smile off your face," Film replies with a small smile.
"And this time I'll whip your's off," Dash responds back as the horn sounds off.
"Good luck everyone," Soarin says before turning and making his way to the starting line. Dash and Film fallow before splitting up and taking their place amongst the croud of pegasus.
"Go Uncle Film!" Midnight yells out, standing on Moon's back with a little flag in her hoof. Acid, a very tired Moon, and Dox stands along with the other on lookers. Film smiles before getting down and ready to fly. The pegisi extend out their wings and ready to fly as a unicorn raises up a fire work into the air with her magic.
"Get set!" The mare yells out before lighting the rockets. "Go!" She yells as the rocket shoots into the air. The pegisi fly off down the designated track before flying up into the air.
"Go little bro!" Acid yells out as Film flies past the group. The wind created by the pegisi blowing the on lookers manes around. The fire work explodes into a sparkle of lights as the pegisi head out of Canterlot and to their first resting point.
Film and Dash stay relatively close to eachother as they pull ahead of a lot of pegisi. Flying just behind them is Soarin and another male Wonderbolt. In front of them leading the pack is Spitfire. The pack of pegisi slowly seperat as some pull away and others fall behind.

Rainbow Dash, Film, Soarin, and Spitfire fly in a little group a head of almost all of the other ponies. Only a few others a head of them as the flock of Pegisi start to thin out.
"How is your brother doing?" Spitfire asks, looking back at Film.
"He's doing great," Film responds back with a small smile.
"That's good to hear," Spitfire responds, turning back around before asking. "Are those new wings?"
"Yep," Film knods.
"They've been all over TWIS for the past few weeks,"
"TWIS?" Film responds, tilting his head to the side.
"It's a weekly science news paper," Soarin explains, looking over at Film.
"That makes sense," Film responds with another little nod.
"I'm honestly surprised Acid's not in a higher position," Spitfire says, turning to look back at Film.
"What do you mean?" Film asks.
"Like…" Spitfire thinks for a second. "He's not the royal advisor of mechanical science or something like that," Spitfire says as she waves her hoof dismissively.
"He would probably refuse the position," Film replies with a little lagh. "But thinking about, it is a bit weird he isn't at a higher position,"
"Your brother's dense if he would refuse a promotion," Dash reopnds.
"He's done it before," Film replies back. Film starting to loss speed and falling behind the others. Dash slows down to keep with him as they keep talking. "So how has the Wonderbolts been?"
"It's been good," Dash replies, waving her hoof dismisavly. "It's fun, but it's been a bit slow recently,"
"You two all right back there!?" Soarin asks, turning around to look back at the two slowly drifting away.
"Ya!" Film yells back.
"I'll stick with Film to make sure he doesn't end up dead!" Dash yells back, causing Film to roll his eyes.
"All right, see you at the first stop!" Soarin replies back before turning back to Spitfire.
"Write any good movies?" Dash asks, turning to Film.
"I've hit a dry spell of ideas," Film responds with a light sigh. He flinches a bit as Dash wraps an arm around his neck.
"Don't worry, you'll get those ideas flowing out in no time," Dash smiles as she lightly punches his shoulder with her other hoof. "This race is exactly what you need," Dash says, separating before doing a barral roll away from Film.
"Probably," Film responds back.
(Time Skip)
"Do you know any good hotels?" Film asks as Cloudsdale appears over the horizon. The racing pegisi have thined out so much that it leaves Film and Dash flying by them selves over the forest and plains below them.
"I know one down town that the Wonderbolts rent out," Dash replies. Film lets out a big yawn as the two approach the city. "Tired already?" Dash asks, raising an eyebrow as they fly through the skyline of the city.
"It's almost sun set," Film points at the sun getting lower in the sky. "So ya,"
"Good point," Dash responds before spotting the hotel. "There it is," Dash says, pointing over at the skyscraper. "I bet Soarin and Spitfire are already there,"
"I wouldn't be surprised," Film responds as the two dive down before gently landing on the ground right in front of the entrance to the building. "I'll pay," Film says as they walk into the hotel lobby.
"I can't really argue with that," Dash responds, nudging Film as they walk up to the reception desk.
