"Well it seems like a little more discussion may be necessary. Ether way, it won't be done tonight. I'm going to go check on Tsukune and Ginei before bed. Knowledge of his Tengu connection is widely spread now." Rubi departed from the younger girls without further discussion.
"She has a fair point. Students aren't the only ones to worry about now." Yukari looked specifically at the snow woman. "As we all know the school faculty has a varied history of their own agendas."
Moka put her two cents into the conversation. "Don't forget the parents as well. Who knows what adult Yokai might do knowing monster kinds ancient enemy is here."
"On that note, I can say for certain my village is firmly in my lovers corner. We are among the most skilled spies in the monster world. What about you Kurumu?" Mizore shifted her ice pop as she spoke.
"Well Succubi tend to be isolated from each other. So I don't know about others of my kind." She blushed before her next words. "However, mom has gotten into her head that Tsukune might be perfect for her. Among our kind, she is willing to protect that potential fiercly." Suddenly, a wolf's alarming howl prevented further discussion as the teenager's all headed outside towards the sound.
School infirmary...
"What is that approaching?" It looked vaguely humanoid, but moved strangely. Like something mimicking the shape yet not understanding the form. At this point he had fully embraced his werewolf nature. The creature blended in well with the night and seemed near perfectly silent. If not for his improved senses right now it might have escaped his notice. In a flash of movement he was outside.
Suddenly, the creature began moving faster. As it came closer it appeared to be made of a grayish clay. Disturbingly, it had no facial features except for a mouth that was frozen in a tortured scream. Solid hands of hardened material struck out at the transformed student. The attack was simply not quick enough and caught only air.
"Whoever you are, your going to have to do better than that." In retaliation Gin ripped a horizontal gash in the torso of his opponent. No blood spilled, but after a few moments he now had two enemies that were slightly shorter than the previous one. "Oh damn, this is going to be annoying!" Surprisingly, the two enemies had become faster and tougher. This became worse as each time he did real damage it doubled again.
Meanwhile inside the building...
"S class brats are always so arrogant." A beautiful woman in her late twenties smiled confidently. She wore an overcoat stained with paint as she admired her handiwork thru the window. "My clay doll may not be as powerful as you, but it makes a fine distraction." She turned and looked at the average young man as her braided hair whipped around. "What do you think Tengu scum, nothing to say?" She laughed quietly as she prepared to crush his throat. An invisible force pushed her back causing her to break the window she had been looking out earlier.
"What do you think you're doing Miss Ishigami?" Rubi knew the question was pointless, but couldn't help asking. The art teacher had been under investigation for some time. In her career at Yokai Academy several students in her class had gone missing after private tutoring. As the witch prepared to fire a more dangerous spell the elder woman responded.
"Oh you know Miss Tojo, cleaning up someone's mess. Tell me, do you know what I am?" Hitomi smiled again as she waited for a response.
"No, the Headmaster is very serious about maintaining his staffs' right to privacy." She wondered, what sort of game the older woman was playing?
"Really, I wonder little witch. Aren't you curious what happened to the guard?" To further distract her she grinned and looked out the window. That was all she needed. As her target broke eye contact she attacked. She dropped all pretense knocking the wand from her enemies hand as she took her true form. One bite was all it took.
"Oh dear spirits, your a Gorgon." Rubi already felt her body seizing up. She only had one option with her last few breaths. "Gine it's a ruse, save Tsukune!" She became stone with a look of terror on her face.
"Ah, such an expression on a beauty of her caliber! Your definitely going in the collection." Unfortunately, she had no time to lose. "I'll see you later Tengu scum!" She left the room carrying her newest statue. Soon enough, she heard the pure emotional howl of sadness. "Chaos is true beauty."
Gine clutched Rubi's discarded wand to his chest. She was his number one model. He would never forget the night time photo shoots she agreed to. Unlike any other girl he asked. He never realized how much those times meant to him. Then he stood tall keeping his sadness inside. The newspaper club had an important mission, to find Rubi Tojo.
"Gine what happened?" Yukari felt magic in the air as her and the other girls arrived.
After some explanation. The new club activity was laid out to his junior members. "Moka, you need to give Tsukune some of your blood. Just to stabilize him, alright?"
"Okay Gine, no problem." It was difficult in her sealed state, but Inner explained the process. The results were a little slow. However, his steady breathing was a good sign. Knowing that the club had some investigation ahead. Moka made a decision Tsukune would be a burden as he is. "Listen everybody I'm going to take him to my father. That way you won't have to worry about him while you find Rubi. He is one of the three Dark Lords after all."
Begrudgingly, her rivals gave in one by one to her logic. She wasn't sure what type of test her father might set before them. However, one thing is certain. He never gave his aid without some form of cost. 'Maybe, she should ask Kokoa to come with them?'
