"I want to make one thing clear Faker this is for Aono-senpai not you!" Kokoa hoped she was effectively hiding her concern. Her father was the most terrifying being she had ever met.
Outer Moka smiled openly in her way. Knowing how Inner often was. She could never doubt the little orange head was her sister. "It's as you say of course Kokoa."
The pair stood before the nearest castle to Yokai Academy their father owned. The sisters hadn't been to this one themselves since it was the newest. However, in their fathers advanced age he tended to build them all the same. So the layout was pretty easy to figure out.
"Seriously, the old man must be going senile! Not one guard at all!" The younger vampire looked about nervously. She shifted her unconscious male senior to one shoulder. Having one hand free in case of unexpected attack made her feel better.
"Under the circumstances. I would think my daughters might appreciate the courtesy. You didn't even contact me ahead of time, by the ancestors." A finely dressed middle aged man with short silver hair said.
Moka bowed respectfully to the adult. "Of course father, we know seeing us can be difficult."
"That's more like it child. Especially, if you dared to bring an outsider here." His eyes glowed with unrestrained power. The siblings felt the immense wave of monster energy. Lesser monsters wouldn't have been able to stand. Though in her sealed state. The pink incarnation was almost kneeling from the pressure alone.
"Alright dad, knock it off you know she's a wimp right now." This was exactly why she was the one holding the human in their midst. The adult couldn't help flexing his strength to make a point as they suspected.
Immediately, the thicker atmosphere lightened as he smiled. "So long as you both understand your position." He waved his hand. Then a section of the stone floor rose up forming a raised platform. "I assume this is the Tengu's chosen representative, correct? Place him on the table so I may examine him closer."
As his youngest complied with his command. He approached the pedestal. The smell of the boy was quite intoxicating. No wonder his daughters were drawn to him. It was in their nature after all. On closer inspection he could sense power from two sources. His fangs lengthened as one of the abilities enraged him. "Moka, did you dare share your precious blood with this boy?"
The older girl immediately blushed embarrassingly. "Yes father, I had little choice. Tsukune was on the verge of death."
"Do you not remember the danger? A potential Ghoul represents to our kind! Other members of our society would slaughter him on sight!" Though something was different.
Inside Tsukune's unconscious mind...
"Where am I? What happened to me?" His body seemed to be covered in a red sticky substance. If he didn't know better he would think it was blood. There was the faintest odor, that challenged his belief otherwise. His heart was racing as his body began having unpredictable pulses. Suddenly, the dark area brightened as a humanoid figure appeared in front of his eyes. It was a athletic looking older man with shoulder length white hair. He was wearing a white kimono with black mountains panted in a old style. The most striking and familiar aspect of him was the red Tengu mask he wore.
"Well well my boy. Looks like I showed up in time after all. That elder vampire is seriously considering killing you at the moment. Even after all these years Issei is still an impetuous youth. Looks like we're going to have to rush this meeting a bit." The older humanoids mask shifted into a grin.
"Who on Earth are you, um sir? You don't sound like Kyuu and his face covering couldn't move." Tsukune felt like he was somehow standing on the precipice of a mountain. One wrong move could send him to his death.
"Seems the youth hasn't told you everything. I have had many names over the centuries. My subordinates usually just call me boss. Though in your case call me Bonn." The leader of the Tengu laughed in spite of himself.
"So the two Tengu I have met call themselves Bonn and Kyuu. Bonn you have an uh, unique sense of humor." The teenager blushed deeply as the joke clicked in his mind. "Anyway, what are you here for?"
"Salvation of course my boy. Well, if you want it anyway. Your becoming something unique. I have the power to guide the change if you will. A merging of spiritual and material monster energy. So what do you say Tsukune?" The old man was growing concerned. The manifestation of the vampire blood had already consumed forty-five percent of the kids body. Thank goodness his people had left their mark on him. It was fighting for control giving him a once in a lifetime opportunity. If they didn't hurry however, his psyche could tear itself apart.
"Can you save Kyuu if I agree? He often said you could perform great feats?" He didn't care anymore about himself as long as his oldest monster friend could survive. His body felt like it was being torn apart by a deep hunger for blood. Not just anyone would do. It had to be Moka or to lesser extent other vampires. He didn't understand this dark need, but he would rather die than hurt his friends.
"Yes I can, if you agree. All I need is a portion of your human genes. Then the first mortal Crow Tengu shall be born. He would then share your blood and thus be reborn as a true brother to you." Tears of sadness unashamedly flowed down his face. "It pains me to take his endless life. However, forever as a prisoner is not living at all."
"Fine then, do as you will Bonn-sama." Then the once human boy screamed in agony as his mind and body exploded in a red mist of blood.
Yokai Shuzen castle real world...
Issei sensed it more that saw it. He jumped back and lifted his arms incasing the platform in a wall of stone. Was he too late had the Ghoul already emerged. A very human scream echoed in the room as the constructed tomb shattered like glass. "By the ancestors, what has he become?"
"Woh Aono-senpai, what happened you look so different?" Due to her proximity to the blast radius she saw his blood red eyes first. Frankly the deep pain in them caused her to reflexively step back. His black feathered wings had become stained a dark red as a fine mist the same color encircled them. The white armor he once wore had become a dull silver. A strong wind surrounded his unmasked body as he hovered ten feet up. His hair was now brown just like his human form.
He screamed again more desperately as the wind kicked up blowing all three vampires off their feet. Moka stood and rushed towards him. "Tsukune calm down, your alive no one is here to hurt you!"
Her heart felt plea seemed to reach him and he listened. He landed on his knees breathing heavily. The transformed guy looked at the carnage he caused for a moment. "What am I now?"
Newspaper club room...
"Excuse me, is this where the Yokai Gazette is made?" The words came from a black haired boy that looked about fourteen. He was wearing an academy uniform.
Ginei, Kurumu, Mizore and Yukari all stared in shock for a moment. They couldn't believe it. He looked like a younger Tsukune. Operation save Rubi was in full swing when he entered. They all wondered if some kind of curse had been at work. However, his voice was completely different yet vaguely familiar.
One among them did truly recognize the voice. Yukari Sendo first class genius. "Kyuu is that you?" The boy smiled in a way that made her heart race. She turned red as she saw it.
