Chapter 7: Declaration of War
The rookies and the Guy team were moving through the snow at high speeds, the traces of a battle could be seen and felt in the distance, and a strange deja vu passed by the participants of that rescue mission of a certain Uchiha some years ago.
Team Eight confirmed that a battle was being fought outside the complex where the Kage summit was being held. Two people were the protagonists, one of them is Naruto, the other is Sasuke.
The skies were getting darker and darker, the clouds were swirling around the place of the battle, and the storm seemed to roar with fury, Hinata with his Byakugan managed to see the large amounts of chakra that were ready to launch at full speed on someone, on the second fighter, on his Hokage, on Naruto.
"The amount of chakra of both jutsus is impressive, and to think that two young people can do such acts"
He mentioned the Raikage with awe in his voice.
"The years pass and Naruto never ceases to amaze me, such conviction and determination continue to mark his ninja path now like the shadow of fire"
Said the young Kazekage.
"Yes, I must agree that he is strong, but carrying so much chakra in a jutsu can be very risky for him"
The thoughtful Tsuchikage intervened.
"We'll have to see about that, Hokage-dono has surprised us enough already, he can keep keeping tricks up his sleeve"
The beautiful Mizukage spoke.
Time seemed to stop, the dragon slowly lowered, and the spinning orb seemed to go calmly, the jutsus launched, but at that instant cold, red eyes full of pain and revenge, met blue eyes, bright, sad, but with determination, Uchiha and Uzumaki stared at each other, as friends, as brothers, as teammates, as comrades, as rivals, and as mortal enemies.
The noise was shocking, the spectators had to close their eyes before the show in front of them, the two jutsus collided with anger and conviction, the gigantic chakra orb that Naruto launched shot out at high speed and the wind blades were spinning violently when they met Sasuke's Kirin.
The techniques collided for what seemed like too much, but actually they were second, they seemed to have the same power, but it wasn't like that. The wind began to cut the lightning, and in an instant it cut the dragon in half, and to Sasuke's horror, it was heading towards his Susanoo with no apparent sign of stopping.
Nothing.
Darkness.
Silence.
That's what Sasuke had in his mind, he was floating, there was a sepulchral silence, until a weak whistle started calling him, and it got louder and louder, more unbearable, more painful.
Then he opened his eyes and an unimaginable pain invaded him, there was a whitish light surrounding his Susanoo, and it was fading fast, and Sasuke understood it, it was not light, it was chakra, small wind needles to be specific, and he felt afraid, he knew that his technique would not hold, and the needles that reached him were causing him an agony that he had never experienced before.
In just a few seconds the giant fell, and the Uchiha along with him, Naruto only heard a thud, the whole landscape of big trees and snow had been replaced by a clear plain with uprooted trees, only one in the middle of the destruction, in front of where the Avenger's body lay.
Naruto started to get closer step by step, his sage mode had disappeared by using his best technique, he decided that it was not necessary to spend a clone to enter this mode again, after all he had already won.
Every step sounded louder, like a melody, one of death, one that claimed him, but he couldn't do anything, he was lying on the floor, defeated by someone he had always underestimated, and he was about to die at the hands of this one, he felt for the first time in many years, what that night where his clan was massacred, fear.
He tried to get up and every fiber of his body was telling him not to do it, blood was pouring out everywhere, he turned around to see who would take his life, and when he did, even more fear invaded him, and he began to crawl with all his strength, but his body did not respond anymore, and the familiar noise of chakra rotating froze his blood, he turned around and saw it, it was his death, he closed his eyes, he felt strange, he hit the cold floor and stopped feeling.
When Naruto saw that his jutsu pierced the dragon, he knew that he won, his friend's body fell, and he started to move to reach the Uchiha, he saw who he considered his best friend crawling in fear in search of a way out, and a sadness invaded his heart, but as soon as he arrived, he was replaced by a Rasengan on his right palm, when he was in front of Sasuke he took a breath and threw his hand towards the skull of the last of his clan, but it never connected.
In a second, a vortex swallowed Sasuke, Naruto undid his Rasengan, took a backward leap, a clone of faded, and entered into wise sage mode again, the other Kages were made next to him, and he managed to feel his other companions of the blade approaching, but more importantly, Madara was here.
The Kages were stunned before what they saw, that someone threw such an amount of chakra was unthinkable and too surprising, they could not digest this surprise when something swallowed the Uchiha before the final blow of the Hokage, and in an instant they were next to the blond Kage to back him up in front of the figure that appeared between the lonely tree.
"What the hell just happened Hokage-dono?"
The voice of the Raikage echoed in the field, but before Naruto could respond, the masked newcomer spoke.
"Wow, it looks like you really killed Pain, but you're stronger than I expected Hokage"
Naruto frowned and replied.
"What are you doing here, and what did you do with Sasuke?"
"Don't worry about him, it's irrelevant to what I have to tell them"
A became enraged and screamed.
"DON'T IGNORE ME YOU SCUM!"
A turned on his lightning armor and prepared to strike the masked man, but a hand was placed in front of him, and he saw that it was the Hokage, but before asking, the masked man spoke again.
"It seems that you have quite a desire to die Raikage, but don't worry, I will grant that wish very soon"
The Raikage became enraged again, but this time Onoki interrupted him.
"Who are you? and why are you interrupting this meeting?"
"You haven't grown up at all Onoki, it saddens me that you don't remember me, I am Uchiha Madara after all"
The surprise of it all became visible, along with confusion on their faces, but the one most affected by the news was the Tsuchikage, who involuntarily recoiled, and fear began to come out of him before he spoke once more.
"IMPOSSIBLE!"
"Hashirama is supposed to have murdered you"
"Haha, well I don't look as dead as they think"
Naruto decided to intervene to understand the situation and know the purpose of this guy.
"If what Nagato told me is any indication, I guess you are the real leader of Akatsuki"
The so-called Madara turned to Naruto and answered.
"Yeah, I guess Nagato told you some private things"
"What are you doing here?"
"You are straight forward Hokage, you impress me for your age"
"Just answer my question at once"
"I intend to kick off the Tsuki no Me plan"
Everyone frowned and Onoki asked.
"What is this about?"
"Well dear Kages, let me explain, I want you all to be one with me"
Surprise invaded the face of everyone present, and Madara took her time to see them before continuing.
"The Uchihas have a table that can be read as the eyes evolve, in it it tells about the Sage of the six paths, and a monster that he defeated, in fact, Naruto has a part of this monster, since this is the combination of all the bijuus, the Juubi or ten tails"
Naruto narrowed his eyes and spoke.
"So your plan is to gather the tailed beasts and bring the Juubi back, but for what purpose?"
"You see Hokage, the Sage created a genjutsu, called Mugen Tsukuyomi, and I plan to use it to use it to control humans and unite the whole world"
The observers were completely silent, they were stunned by this plan and a possible world control at the hands of such an infamous man.
"It seems that what you want is to control the world on your own"
Said an annoyed Tsuchikage.
"No matter what you think, give me the Hachibi and the Kyuubi."
He demanded Madara from the Kages.
"That will never happen"
Said the red-haired Kazekage in an authoritative voice.
"Okay, then I declare the start of the Fourth Great Ninja War"
With that said, the apparent Madara disappeared in a vortex, and those present fell silent.
"Well, having this new information, I think we should continue with our meeting and prepare for this war"
With a nod almost in unison, all the Kages and bodyguards prepared to return to the meeting.
"Neji, I want you to please take care that our comrades do not interrupt the meeting"
"As you order Hokage-sama"
Having said that, Neji bowed and went out in search of his companions.
Naruto gave a tired sigh. He still couldn't get used to being called that, let alone one of his friends.
"Let's go back inside Hokage-sama, the meeting is about to start"
Yamato said in his soldier's voice.
"Are you Taicho too?"
With this brief exchange of words, Naruto and Yamato headed to the hall to continue with the summit.
The conversations of the Kages had progressed without any inconvenience, everyone agreed to make an alliance and fighting Akatsuki and Madara's plan, they had agreed on dates, the amount of shinobi available, and the use of resources for this war.
"Having discussed about these issues, we should talk about who will be the leader of this alliance"
The Raikage said in a loud voice, to which the other Kages nodded.
"I agree, and being the moderator of this meeting I would like to share my personal opinion"
Mifune said, and seeing no protest he decided to continue.
"The Mizukage is ruled out, its people are the possible origin of the organization, which does not leave them in a favorable position; the Tsuchikage also seems to me an unsuitable option, after all it was the nation that most used the services of the criminal organization; the Raikage as far as we could see is quite impulsive, which makes it unfit to command the largest army ever seen; finally we have the two best options, Kazekage-dono and Hokage-dono, but my balance is leaning more towards the Hokage"
The room had mixed reactions, Mei and Gaara were quite calm, Onoki was visibly upset, A was very angry, and Naruto had a surprised face directed towards Mifune, and before he could refuse, the latter spoke.
"Before you ask, I will tell you my reasons, although he is very young and recently took office, his village and himself have faced all the Akatsuki members, and even Hokage-dono defeated the one who seemed to be Madara's second-in-command, we have also witnessed a show of strength by this one, so for me it is the best option."
The room was completely silent, the Kages were thoughtful, while the blond Hokage was completely oblivious to the world around him, his head was spinning, he had recently been named Hokage, and now they wanted to appoint him to be the supreme commander of the shinobi alliance, there were a lot of things in a very short time, I didn't know if he was ready, or if it was really the best option. Naruto was pulled out of his thoughts when he heard the voice of his red-haired friend.
"I agree, Naruto is the ideal person for this, and I will trust my life and the life of my village to him"
Naruto was surprised, but he smiled at his friend, and that determination so characteristic of him returned, if the others accepted him, he was willing to lead the alliance, he would not give up at this point.
"It seems to me that we need to make a vote, so if you agree that Hokage-dono should be the supreme commander of the alliance please raise a hand"
After these words of Mifune, almost immediately Gaara raised his hand, followed closely by the Mizukage, a few seconds later they were joined by the Raikage, and after an uncomfortable silence, the Tsuchikage raised his hand.
"Alright, since we all agree on that, I appoint the Sixth Hokage, Uzumaki Naruto, as the supreme commander of the ninja alliance"
