Musutafu (Day)
"Oh, that was delicious Mr. Xiao-Long." Eri said, patting her belly as she walked down the sidewalk with Dominic.
"Yeah, McDonald's never fails to please." Dominic said. After convincing the child that he could be trusted, something that took way too long in his opinion, he bought Eri a new set of clothes. Right now, she was wearing a simple red dress and polka-dot shoes. She still didn't tell the boy about why she was in the hospital with parts of her bone marrow missing, but she did once say that she didn't like ravens. Weirdly, this was something they shared.
As the duo walked through the city, they passed by an interesting sight. A Giant Villain was rampaging atop a train station, attracting paparazzi, the police, and a few pro heroes. Based on research he did the prior night, Dominic learned that the world he found himself in was absolutely flooded with superhumans, with normal people being the minority that many looked down on. Thankfully, Dominic was nowhere near powerless.
Smiling, he crouched down to Eri's level. "Hey, kid. You wanna see something cool?" the boy asked. Wondering what he had planned, Eri nodded. "Stay here." In a flash of red light, Dominic vanished into thin air.
Tatooin Station (Day)
Kamui Woods was excited. He'd finally gotten the chance to fight a real villain! A purse snatcher, but still technically a villain. He would show the world the true might of-
Wait, what was that?
As he ran to the crime scene, he was passed by a blur of crimson energy that left a trail of scorched pavement in its wake. An accomplice of the giant villain, perhaps? That theory was quickly proven wrong when the blur leapt off the ground and onto the rail tracks. Once it was still, he was able to identify a human figure. The wooden hero ran closer to the area and managed to make out a few key features. The most pressing of which was the fact that it was a child. However, their face was obscured by smoke. 'A vigilante?' Kamui Woods thought as the boy spoke.
"Well, this is something. I wasn't aware sharks could survive this long on dry land." the blonde taunted with an altered voice, angering the thief. Everyone watching looked on in horror as the giant's fist crashed into the boy, crushing him. "Who taught you to punch? A kickboxer?" the boy said from behind the villain, confusing everyone.
'Must be his Quirk.' Kamui Woods assumed.
The giant looked behind himself and tried to stomp on the teenager, failing miserably. "This is starting to get sad. Why don't we get this farce of a battle over with?" the kid said with a smile, raising his arm. The metal on the train rails melted away, forming needles of sharpened steel that flew towards the Giant Villain. The man swatted the needles away, breaking them apart but also slicing open parts of his arm in the process.
Kamui Woods had seen enough. Powerful Quirk or not, it was far too dangerous to let a child fight a villain. Even if he managed to take him down with no injuries or collateral damage. Using his own Quirk to latch onto the platform and propel himself up, he arrived just in time to see the boy's left eye turn bright red through the smoke.
"And here's the finale!" Dominic shouted as he raised his arm, cloaked in crimson flame. "Atonement Blast!" From his arm, a beam of burning energy was shot at the Giant Villain's face, detonating against his skin with immense force and causing him to shrink down to normal size. While he was laughing at his victory, he finally noticed Kamui Woods behind him. "Oh, you must be the guy who's job I just finished."
"Very funny." the wood man said sarcastically. "But using your Quirk without a license is illegal. You'll have to come with me to the police station."
The boy's visible eye went wide at that. "Well, I guess if there's no othe- BUZZ, LOOK! AN ALIEN!" he yelled, pointing at the sky.
"What!?" Kamui Woods said, looking at where the child was pointing. When he found nothing, he turned back at the boy to find that he was no longer there, and the broken steel needles were all put back onto the rail track and restored to perfect condition. 'I'm in trouble for this, aren't I?' he thought to himself as he wondered what kind of Quirk allowed someone to hold such destructive power.
From what he saw, the boy's Quirk had at least three abilities. He could move as a red blur, control the metal in the train tracks, and then there was the beam he shot from his arm. Even some of the most dangerous Villains he'd seen on the news weren't as powerful as this. And to make the kid even more terrifying, he didn't look or sound tired at all after unleashing that inferno, which looked strong enough to blow a house away.
Little did he know that Dominic Xiao-Long's glorious power, Volcano, was the furthest thing from a Quirk.
Volcano
Allows Dominic to manipulate heat and minerals in any way he can imagine. Its namesake is a touchy subject.
