UA (Day)
Dominic's second day of school started with an English class taught by Midnight, a woman who reminded him a lot of another exhibitionist hero he met in the past. Considering English was the language most used by the boy, the class wasn't too difficult for him. Afterwards, the students all went to the cafeteria. Much like the one at Beacon, everyone from all classes was there. As such, the room itself was gigantic. What's more, the students can get gourmet food for the price of a Hammer thanks to the head chef's Quirk. According to Midoriya, Lunch Rush could simply manifest any kind of food he's seen before. When you take into account all the toxic foods out there, like pufferfish, it's a scary ability. But even though he could choose from literally anything, Dominic wanted something simple.
And when I say 'simple', I mean 'simple according to him'.
"What the heck is that supposed to be?" Jiro asked, mortified by Dominic's lunch choice.
"This happens to be one of my greatest inventions. Behold!" the blonde said, proud of what he created. "It's a Peanut Butter Cup Dorito Sausage Panini with a Cadbury Egg on it."
"Why?" Jiro asked, watching in horror as her friend took a bite out of the Garbage Burger.
"Well, my...Quirk uses a ton of power whenever I activate it. And this is the only thing that can supply my body with the energy it needs." Dominic explained, taking another bite.
"I actually wanted to talk to you about that. What is your Quirk exactly?" Jiro asked.
"Oh, it's called Volcano." the boy said, lying through his teeth. "I have enhanced strength and durability, can shoot fire from any part of my body, and I can control minerals."
"Jeez. I knew you were strong, but..." Jiro said, thinking about what kind of limits Volcano had.
"Yeah, but it does come with drawbacks. For one, I can't swim or come into direct contact with water in any form." Dominic explained. "If I do, my body will instantly begin to crumble. It's painful too."
"How do you drink?" Jiro asked, genuinely curious.
"Oh, my body doesn't require food or water." Dominic clarified. "My inner body is chemically identical to an active volcano, so very little is needed to maintain it. The only reason I eat at all is simply because food tastes good to me." As he said this, he took another bite of his sandwich. "And I mean REALLY good."
UA (Day)
"I am here! Coming through the door like a hero!" All Might declared, moving through the doorway in a single, yet somehow ridiculous, motion.
'Well, Spyro sure liked coming through the door like that, so I can't say he's wrong.' Dominic deadpanned to himself, still curious about the man's power. He knew that All Might lived up to his name, being undefeated no matter what Villain he fought. However, the boy couldn't help but feel that his Aura was...incomplete. Looking around, the other students seemed absolutely starstruck. Not surprising, given his fame.
"I teach Hero Basic Training. It's a subject where you train in different ways to learn the basics of becoming a hero. You'll take the most units of this subject!" the Number One Hero said, smiling. "Let's get right into it! This is what we'll do today: Combat Training!"
'Oh, I've already won this.' Dominic thought to himself, wondering what kind of training he'd be doing.
"And to go with that are these!" the hero said, pointing to the wall as several numbered compartments slid out from it. "Costumes made based on your Quirk registrations and requests you sent in before school started. "After you change, gather in Ground Beta."
Testing Ground B (Day)
'I can't believe they actually signed off on this!' Dominic thought to himself with a wide grin. He was currently wearing a suit of golden armor. Flowing from his back was a cape made of fire, and in his hand was a sword made of red crystal.
This special armor was something the boy possessed for several years, designed to augment his powers and bolster his defenses. But, because of UA's rules, he couldn't choose a pre-made costume without sending in a ton of paperwork. Miraculously however, the school allowed him to keep his armor and weapon.
"They say clothes make the man, young men and ladies. Be fully aware, from now on, you are heroes!" All Might said as the rest of the students came in from behind Dominic. "That's great everyone! You all look so cool! Now, are you ready, you bunch of zygotes?"
"Woah! Is that a sword!?" Kirishima asked, surprised.
"Oh yeah! Carved it myself out of a cluster of Traptanium." Dominic said, looking down at his weapon as it glistened in the sunlight.
"Traptanium?" the boy asked, confused.
"Oh, you'll see." Dominic said, laughing like a madman as Kirishima walked away.
"Now, it's time for combat training!" All Might exclaimed, drawing everyone's attention to him.
"Sir!" Iida said, raising his hand. "This is a Battle Center from the Entrance Exam. Are we to be conducting urban battles again?"
"No, we're going to move ahead two steps!" All Might replied. "Most of the time, fighting with Villains takes place outside. But if you look at the total numbers, atrocious Villains appear indoors at a higher rate. Imprisonment, house arrest, backroom deals. In this society filled with heroes, truly intelligent villains hide in the shadows."
'Don't need to tell me that.' Dominic said to himself, remembering Cinder and how he wasn't able to tell what she was doing until it was too late. His eye faintly glowed red when he recalled his first fight with her, and more importantly, what he had to do to assure his victory.
"For this class, you'll be split into villains and heroes and fight in 2-on-2 indoor matches." All Might explained.
"Without basic training?" Asui asked.
"This is a battle meant to teach you those basics!" All Might answered. "However, the key this time is that there's no robot to beat up."
"How exactly does each team win?" Dominic asked, hoping to show off his swordsmanship. Unfortunately, his question was overshadowed by everyone else's.
"How much can we hurt the other team?" "Will we have to worry about being expelled like last time?" "How will we be split up?" "Isn't this cape fabulous?"
And it looked like the constant noise was getting to their teacher. "I'll answer all your questions!" he yelled, getting out a small handbook.
'Dummie's Guide to Teaching. Wow, and I thought Port was incompetent.' Dominic said to himself, sighing.
"Now, listen here. The situation is that the villains have hidden a nuclear weapon somewhere in their hideout." All Might said, reading from his pamphlet. "The heroes are trying to dispose of it. The heroes need to catch the villains or get the weapon back in the allotted time. The villain's job is to either protect the weapon or capture the heroes. Teams and opponents will be decided by drawing ballots!"
"They're being decided so haphazardly?" Iida asked, confused.
"Think about it. Pros often have to create makeshift teams with other agencies, so maybe that's why." Midoriya said, providing an explanation.
"I see, the discernment to look ahead." Iida said, satisfied. "Please excuse my rudeness!"
"It's fine. Let's do this quickly!" All Might said, letting the students pick the lots. Dominic ended up getting teamed up with a boy with a Quirk that gave him a muscular, prehensile tail. "The first teams to fight will be: Team A as the Heroes and Team D as the Villains! Everyone else, head to the monitor room."
'Well, this won't end well.' Dominic silently imagined, knowing the intense rivalry Midoriya and Bakugo had. Giving one last glance at the two, he followed All Might to the monitor room.
Monitoring Room (Day)
The room was dark, with the only source of light being the various monitors that gave the chamber its name. "Okay everyone, you all should think as well." All Might said as he put an earpiece on, likely to communicate with the teams in battle.
Dominic knew better than most in the room what lows villains will go to in order to win. Hell, his own birth was evidence of that. But he also knew the strategic advantages those dirty tricks gave them. If his team was chosen as the villains, he'd need to set traps so the heroes would inevitably get stuck. And if he was supposed to be a hero, he'd simply burn through any obstacle in his way.
On the screen, he saw Midoriya and Uraraka snuck in through the second-floor window. Smart, since it would allow them to bypass any potential traps Bakugo or Iida could've set. The duo navigated the maze of walls for what seemed like hours, making sure each hall was safe to move through. Right as they were about to turn a corner, Bakugo ambushed them with an explosion. Midoriya managed to roll out of the way, taking his teammate with him. However, half of his mask was incinerated.
"A surprise attack from the start? Bakugo, you cheater!" Kirishima said, outraged. "A surprise attack isn't manly at all!"
"Actually, it was perfect. At least, for most opponents." Dominic said, getting the redhead's attention. "When you're fighting under the side of evil, the rules don't apply. If it will let your team succeed, then it's the right choice. Heroes try their best to refrain from killing the villains they fight, but the villains don't operate under those guidelines. They'll kill you without breaking a sweat."
"Young Xiao-Long is right! Besides, he's playing the part of a villain!" All Might said, agreeing with the boy.
Looking back at the screen, Dominic watched Bakugo lunge at Midoriya. Unexpectedly, the greenette rushed at the pyromanic and grabbed his right arm before slamming him into the floor. After getting his bearings back, Bakugo started talking.
"Hey, who's he talking to?" Kirishima asked. "Can't tell with just the cameras in a fixed position with no sound."
"He's talking to his partner over this small wireless radio." All Might said, pointing to his earpiece. "You can bring that plus the building's floor plan and this capture tape." The blonde hero reached onto the control panel and got a small strip of white tape. "Once you wrap this around your opponent, it shows that you've captured them."
"The time limit is 15 minutes, and the heroes don't know where the nuclear weapon is located, right?" Ashido asked, to which All Might nodded. "Then the heroes are at a huge disadvantage here!"
"Heroes should be able to turn the tables on whatever predicament they're in." All Might explained.
Turning his attention back to the monitor, Dominic saw that Uraraka had split up with Midoriya, leaving the boy to fight Bakugo alone. Actually, Bakugo never intended to attack the girl in the first place, so her leaving to find Iida and the weapon was the only reasonable strategy. Bakugo jumped into the air and launched a kick at Midoriya, but the greenette took the chance to wrap the capture tape around his ankle. It was futile, though, as he simply blasted Midoriya again, forcing him to let go of the tape and dodge.
After the dust from the explosion settled, Bakugo put both of his arms behind him, likely trying to propel himself toward Midoriya. But he never got the chance to, as his opponent ran away, trying to use the confusing layout of the floor to lose him.
"Wow. Someone's got anger issues." Kaminari said as Bakugo started yelling. "It's kinda scary."
'True. Bakugo's winning, and yet he's acting like someone just sheeped in his drink. There's gotta be more I'm not seeing.' Dominic thought to himself as he turned to the monitor with Iida. Uraraka mistakenly gave up her location by laughing out loud, most likely because of something the bluenette said. 'Huh, looks like the villains talk to themselves here too.'
Back with Midoriya, it looked like Bakugo finally caught up with him. Bakugo put his finger into the pin of his gauntlet, giving the Trainer a bad feeling. All Might seemed to share this feeling. "Young Bakugo, stop! You'll kill him!" the hero pleaded, pressing his earpiece. Once the pin left the gauntlet, a massive explosion rocketed out of Bakugo's palm, causing the entire building to rattle.
"This is supposed to be a class!" Kirishima yelled, worried.
"Young Midoriya!" All Might said, his smile faltering.
'That attack was almost as strong, if not stronger, than my Atonement Blast. I'll need to be more careful around him, especially when he's angry.' Dominic told himself, failing to notice that All Might only called out one student.
Dominic's Golden Armor
A special set of armor originally made 10,000 years ago by the Arkeyans. It was supposed to protect the wearer from intense heat, but instead melted those who put it on. Because of this failure, it was locked away and forgotten by those who created it.
