"Relax Tony" said Rhodey who suppressed the urge to let out a few laughs at what they saw of the counterpart of his best friend, a friend who had sulked in his place, before turning to look at young Parker "Don't worry kid, he'll get over it"

However, the young arachnid was not very reassured, as soon as War Machine turned to see Clint and Natasha, already thinking about asking them to pass him the photo or video they took of Tony.

As soon as the rest had calmed down by the short rest they seemed to have obtained, and yet they were still amused by the last thing they witnessed. Stark, on the other hand, was muttering some things that no one could understand, until the screen came back on

...

When the screen showed the Avengers, along with the others present, the inhabitants of New York, some doubts arose in some due to the image focusing on New Yorkers, especially when it was shown that they all seemed to be looking in the same direction, or the curiosity of the viewers.

The people of New York would stop their actions for a few minutes at the peculiar scene that was taking place in front of them. The shrill sound, belonging to a deep cry that gradually turned into a high-pitched and hoarse amalgam, attracted more than one alien eye that wandered in the daily life of the city. Such was the disturbance that even traffic had slowed down for a few minutes, where drivers leaned out of the windows to admire the strange spectacle in front of them while a sense of déjà vu overwhelmed them.

"Very well, what's going on?" Falcón asked the question that everyone had asked

And they were starting to worry that it was another attack on the city or something like what happened in 2012, especially since they didn't know if they were seeing their own world in their future or another world, as with everything they saw before.

"Is what's happening real?" A hot dog vendor asked his customer, who had been frozen on the spot about to bite into the food.

"I don't know. Was Spider-Man replaced again with a child? Remembering to have seen a spider-like figure in a red and black suit some time ago, the buyer muttered.

"What?" said Peter somewhat confused before turning to see Ant-man sitting next to him, as well as Iron-man who came out of his annoyance mainly out of curiosity and hope to use something for retribution

"Will there be another Spider-boy?" Tony said doubtfully

"Hey," the Parker complained, but brushed it aside when his on-screen counterpart appeared

This hero was currently walking with a determined step through an avenue whose vehicular circulation had stopped. However, while he was in imperturbable silence, the screamer was none other than a male figure wearing a yellow uniform and a dark brown jacket paired with gloves and boots.

"Who's that?" The Winter Soldier asked about the man Spider-Man was following.

"Now everyone wants to attract attention," Flacon commented at the man's peculiar attire

"Haven't you noticed that Spider-man's suit seems to be too big?" Steve pointed out to the others

"I doubt it very much. Something about him tells me it's the real thing." Crossing his arms and then reaching his left hand to his chin, adopting a thoughtful pose, the driver of a nearby taxi joined the previous conversation.

"How can you be so sure?" The passenger in the back seat inquired in the pre-arranged dialogue.

"Because it's almost like looking at a mirror into the past. He has the same bearing and gait as he did more than ten years ago," a woman who was window shopping said, being one of the many people who joined the great wave of spectators.

"Well, if it's our world, then it's in the future," Natasha said at what the woman on the screen said, but she and others wanted to see if there was a screen showing a newsreel with the date or even a newspaper where it was clearly distinguishable

"You know none of that makes sense, don't you?" A friend of the aforementioned woman complemented what she said seconds ago.

Knowing that it was only a hypothesis, the female passerby shrugged her shoulders when she saw that more than one expected an answer from her, which caused everyone to let out a sigh of annoyance as they had returned to the starting point regarding the mystery that surrounded the masked young vigilante who walked after a frightened villain.

"Does anyone else wonder why they're so interested?" Peter asked the others about the way New Yorkers were behaving because of his counterpart.

"That's the way people are, unless there's something dangerous that makes them get out of there, they'd rather see what happens, even then there are those who ignore common sense," Hill replied to the boy, with others agreeing

Speaking of this hero, he continued with his determined walk while clenching his fists tightly and a gnashing of teeth was heard very clearly in the silent city, where even the office workers of adjoining buildings crowded in the windows to see what was happening in the street.

"How did the colonizer do that?" said Shuri, surprised by the fact that the actions of Spider-man's body could be clearly heard in such a densely populated city, even if the gossiping people made less noise

"Shuri," her brother complained about the way she expressed herself

The fearful villain, between agitated screams and slight stumbles from nerves, cursed from the rooftops that he had been stripped of his vibrational gauntlets.

Tony wasn't the only one to raise an eyebrow at the aforementioned gauntlets, wondering about them, in addition to not overlooking the fact that he was classified as a villain.

For seconds he tried to see over his right shoulder how far away his nemesis was, only to sob in the most masculine way possible as he prayed to any deity who walked among them that the arachnid's justified anger would diminish at least one iota.

"All right kid, what the hell did you do to him to act like that?" a very confused Lang asked Peter

"I don't know, it's the future or another world," Parker defended himself, "I haven't even met that man."

Well, of course, he was going to pay dearly for what had happened just a few minutes before.

"I said I'm sorry, I didn't know!" Resigned, the villain exclaimed as he continued to run in a straight line, as if his brain had erased the option to turn sideways.

"Tell someone who believes it, Herman..." without bothering to raise his voice too much, and taking advantage of the silence that surrounded him, Spider-Man replied.

Hill wrote down the name mentioned, while Vision also made a section in his data memory for the information that continues to appear about that man

"Seriously, spider, I didn't know Toomes' gun would do what it did! It was supposed to work the other way around!" Consumed by the terror of a wall-crawler who wouldn't joke and chased him like the Terminator for a mile, Shocker screamed.

"Then you admit that they planned to make me a helpless old man, don't you?" even if he had the mask on, everyone present knew that Spider-Man had cracked a mischievous smile at the same time that he spoke calmly.

"They created a weapon that could alter someone's age," exclaimed an astonished T'Challa, with his sister being just as amazed

The others were just as astonished at that possibility, though those like Natasha, Hill, and Fury were considering the problems that could occur with technology like that.

Then, reflexively, the villain stopped abruptly in his place to think about the last thing he had just said, gradually opening his eyes under the yellow mask to the point of losing the color in his skin. In the end, when he realized his failure and wanted to run again, he knew that all was lost, because a characteristic sound that he managed to hate with all his soul after years and years of frustration echoed in the silent American city.

'THWIP!'

"Son of a... AHHHHH! Schultz could only manage to utter the beginning of a rude curse before shrieking as he was pulled hard from behind.

"What a shame, the Captain was robbed of the opportunity to criticize his language" Stark joked, causing Rogers to roll his eyes in exasperation

The people, stunned and amazed by the lack of eloquence of the current situation, did not hesitate for a second to pull out their mobile phones, activate the cameras, and start taking pictures or recording videos of everything that was happening. Mainly after hearing what the villain had said regarding the famous New York spider menace.

Definitely, knowing that Spider-Man had undergone a rejuvenation process would create a shock in several people in high places, starting and ending with a certain editor of the Daily Bugle.

"Daily Bugle, sound familiar?" Ant-man asked the others, focusing first on Peter who shook his head, before looking at the others

"Vis, could you make a note about looking into it later?" Tony said to the android, curious as to why the narrative focused on that for a brief moment, and the android that took a second to respond to carry it out

"I already did, Mr. Stark."

"Hey..." Pulling down his cell phone, a pedestrian waiting on the corner of a street muttered audibly.

-What? – Distracted by the interruption, the cyclist who was mere meters away stopped watching the spectacle to ask his simple question.

"Spiderman..." pointing to the aforementioned hero who was dragging a tied Shocker along the same path they came from, the passerby in smart suits said.

"What is it that worries him?" Natasha blurted out when she saw the change in body, face and attitude that the man got

Of the other viewers, some also noticed it, such as Clint, Fury, Bucky and Hill, which generated the same doubt

"What's wrong with it?" An old woman, adjusting her thick glasses over the bridge of her nose to keep them from slipping, joined the conversation with yet another question.

"He's young..." still, in a state that was gradually becoming catatonic, the worker in office clothes mentioned.

"Yes, I noticed. And?" Again, replied the cyclist, still watching the wall-crawler walk up to what appeared to be a decrepit old man wearing a green jumpsuit and lying on the ground next to a bizarre futuristic rifle split in two.

"Spiderman... He's young... Again" he imperatively enumerated the most important data that passed in living time in front of all of them.

"Why are they focusing on that?" asked Falcon, finding the reaction of the people strange

"Considering that the idea of living forever or being young again would be tempting to many, it's clear that we should be concerned about how people would react," Natasha replied

"I don't think that's why," Bucky added, "just look at them." By saying the last thing, I point out the reactions that the adults on the screen got, especially the older ones

Which earned him several muffled cries of dread from those who were already of age, totally baffling his teenage counterparts. Blank stares began to abound, added to small tremors that made more than one spill their coffee, or even people who hyperventilated to the point of frightening the youngest.

"What's going on? Why does everyone get like this when they find out that Spider-Man is young again?" questioned a high school student who stopped seeing how the arachnid forced Herman to take the aging Vulture in his arms and then instructed him to walk the same path he previously used to escape.

"What the fuck did the boy's other self do to make them react like that?" Falcon blurted out, dumbfounded by the reaction of the civilians

He wasn't the only one wondering that, the others were the same, especially Parker himself, who was also a little afraid to know the answer.

"I think I'd better keep an eye on the brat," Tony thought, not knowing what to make of the reaction of New Yorkers, and to lighten the mood a little Stark said, "Steve tell him something, he said a bad word"

The Captain, on the other hand, only sighed

"It's not fear because he could be dangerous, it's something else." Natasha said, being almost completely sure of her assertion

Several eyes crossed the pedestrians and adult drivers, reaching even those on the other side of the street, as they seemed to have reached the same conclusion mentioned above. A tacit reminder of a past that they had decided to hide in the recesses of their minds in order to move on.

For this very reason, and for the benefit of their tormented psyches, adult passers-by ignored the young man's question. They ignored the demands for answers that followed once they turned around and began to walk towards their destinations, leaving every curious teenager with the doubt that would inevitably lead to endless vocal and virtual discussions for the next few hours.

Or rather, days.

And maybe weeks.

"What?" the young arachnid asked nervously and fearfully to the other spectators, who because they turned to look at the Parker and stared at him because of the reactions and actions that the older New Yorkers took to the rejuvenated state of their other self.

However, the individual who was unknowingly becoming the focus of attention continued with his own dilemma. Walking to the side of the villainous duo to make sure they didn't escape, or rather that Shocker didn't flee after dropping a ruined Vulture, the web head tried to hide as best he could his nerves to see that the weapon responsible for his condition was broken beyond repair.

"Rather steal someone's age, give it to someone else and rejuvenate them, while the other gets old," Shuri said, giving a theory when the screen changed to show the so-called Vulture, a man who seemed to be about to kick the bucket, as well as the weapon used, as well as wondering how they could create something like that.

She wasn't the only one, the others wondered the same thing, along with worrying that if something like that got into certain hands, returning some individuals to their prime would only create problems again.

He could swear that pieces were missing, destroyed by the fall from the top of Central Park Tower, thanks to the feat that Toomes tried to do and failed miserably after activating the artifact while it was wrapped in cobwebs that restricted all kinds of fine motor skills.

"Of all the idiocies they could have done, this one holds a special place in my top three." Defeated in his task of finding some solution with the destroyed weapon, Spider-Man said to the pair of disguised evildoers walking beside him.

"All right, now I want to know what the other two are," Clint said, not the only one curious about it, but the one who said it out loud

Meanwhile, Parker didn't know whether to be curious too or worried

"Did we beat Kraven?" looking for the bright side of the situation so as not to remember that he was up to his neck in trouble, Schultz asked optimistically.

"Not even in your dreams. He buried me and made me dig my way to the surface after a week" as if it were something normal, Spidey claimed as he created a makeshift knapsack of cobwebs to better carry the remains of the rifle.

"WHAT?!" was the cry given by several, but Peter's being the loudest

"Hill!"

"It's done, sir," replied the aforementioned when she finished typing the name "Kraven" on her tablet

"I've already recorded it, gentlemen," Vision said when several of the avengers turned to look at him

"Calm down boy, breathe," Lang said to Peter, who was having a panic attack at what his other self said

-...- the collapsed figure of Adrian Toomes murmured, barely moving his lips.

"What did he say?" Confused, asked the villain, capable of producing vibrational shocks through gloves, climbing the stairs that led to the doors of the police department.

"That I give him back his 'youth''" with a wooden face under his mask and making a few filler words with his hands to emphasize the last word, the arachnid hero mocked as he saw his enemies voluntarily surrender to the officers.

The detectives watched the verbal exchange calmly, managing to suppress several mocking grimaces at the last comment, because although they remembered that Vulture was an aging man, it now seemed that at any moment he would close his eyes and force them to call a hearse to take him to the morgue.

"So I was right" Shuri said upon hearing that her theory was correct, but she still had the question of how they managed to create such technology, her brother was thinking the same as her, besides the fact that like the others present, he was thinking about researching the people they were seeing and will see, by the time he returns to Wakanda

"Alright, can someone explain to me what's going on here?!" Making her way through the crowd of officers in the department, the weary but determined figure of Yuriko Watanabe cried out after hearing the bustle in the street.

Only to widen his eyes when he saw the pair of villains, favored to the gallery that Spider-Man had, surrendering without any resistance, while a spider-man of slimmer and shorter physiognomy swung between the buildings to quickly lose himself in the city.

"Something tells me that our lives will be very lively from today on..." without needing to know what was circulating on the computer networks, the captain of the NYPD declared something that everyone endorsed.

"Something tells me that's an understatement," Falcon said.

With several of the others agreeing with him.
