Chapter 1598
Your Future Starts Today
The Resistance team successfully breached the building the Gray entered. They took him down.
Bob and Jim moved off to search the rest of the interior of the building. They were aware of the conditions females needed to endure in the future. There may be something similar there.
Kyle moved back to the door to watch Derek as well as the interior.
There was sporadic gunfire twice inside somewhere.
Derek rejoined Kyle.
They were both down on one knee as the gunfire occurred somewhere in the interior of the building.
Derek looked at the phones he collected from the Fanatics and the men in the van.
"It looks like the phones are trashed." Derek said.
Kyle retrieved the phone from the Gray inside. It was damaged as well.
"This one is too." Kyle said. "John Henry can usually still get some information off of them."
Derek checked in with Bob. He wanted to know what else was happening in the interior of the building. The gunfire indicated there were still threats.
Moments ago:
Bob and Jim moved through the building. There were a series of hovels set up inside.
Jim found a nude female in one of them. He quickly checked her. She was deceased.
"She's been terminated." Jim said.
Bob looked off to the left and saw a man emerge with a gun. He shot him. He was displeased because there was a terminated female. There needed to be retribution.
A shot slammed into a support beam for the roof near Jim's head.
Jim fired at the shooter. He went down.
They checked a few more of the shanties there.
Bob found one more female. She was drugged and nude. She appeared to be in bad shape.
"Was she overdosed?" Jim asked.
Bob scanned her.
"Yes." Bob said. "It is doubtful she will survive."
Jim looked over her nude body to determine its condition.
"It appears she was heavily abused." Jim said.
Bob changed his hold on her. She expired as he held her.
"She just terminated." Bob said. "There was nothing I could do about a drug overdose."
Jim was very displeased with it all. Most of the male Terminators found Sheila's actions to be somewhat disturbing as far as Terminators went. It was clear to him now why sometimes 'punishment' needed to be dealt out first before termination. The nature of the infraction is what determined the punishment.
"Let's try to get a live Scavenger." Jim said. "I understand Sheila better now. Termination isn't atonement enough."
Bob nodded.
"Payback time…." Bob said.
Sarah, Summer, and John Henry were in the Command Center.
They watched the body cam and drone footage.
The operation wasn't over.
Sarah looked over at Summer when the first dead female was found. Summer didn't even blink.
"There will be more." Summer said without looking at Sarah.
Sarah was surprised to hear it. Now she wondered if Summer actually spoke out loud. She wasn't sure. She decided not to ask.
Summer was disturbed because a deceased female was found. She understood how Scavengers operated. They were worse than animals. She was even more displeased when the second female died as Bob held her.
She understood Jesse's personal vendetta against future Scavengers. She also looked the other way when Sheila 'acted' on her own. Somehow it was justified, even if it wasn't. Future Scavengers needed to atone for their infractions.
John Henry hoped to get some information off of the phones Derek and Kyle collected. They needed to eradicate any Grays and Fanatics they could locate.
"I think things are just about wrapped up." John Henry said.
Summer looked over at him. She knew it wasn't true. He must have said it to put Sarah at ease. She was clearly upset with the deaths of the two nude females.
Sarah didn't like what she saw. She wondered who the females were and how they ended up there. Even if they were homeless, they didn't deserve to die at the hands of others, or by the actions of others.
Camille-Hanna carried out Claire's wishes. It looked like things went just a little too far.
"Claire." Camille-Hanna said. "Claire!"
There was no response.
Claire was on the 'other side' now.
The localized convolutions slowed and stopped.
Claire was dead.
Camille-Hanna waited for fifteen seconds. She started chest compressions. Claire gasped once and her eyelids fluttered. The right eye opened slightly before the left eye. Claire gasped for air again. Her eyes blinked slowly once and then normally.
Claire looked at Camille-Hanna. She tried to speak. Nothing happened. She couldn't remember how.
"Easy does it." Camille-Hanna said. "You're back. Everything is fine."
Claire never experienced anything like it before. Jesse told her about it. It was as beautiful as she described it. She wanted the experience one more time.
"A – gain!" Claire gasped.
Camille-Hanna scanned Claire. She didn't think it was a good idea. She knew Gail did it for Jesse over and over, until Jesse didn't 'come back'. It took Gail almost two minutes to revive her one time. Jesse was 'gone' for almost four minutes. Gail refused to do it anymore afterwards.
"It's enough for today." Camille-Hanna said. "You need to think of Allison's baby."
Claire could understand Camille-Hanna now. Everything was clearer.
"O-K." Claire said. "I need - to rest."
Camille-Hanna kissed Claire and lay next to her. She continued her scans as Claire slept. She would monitor her until she woke up on her own. She hoped Cameron didn't find out about what she did.
Samantha tilted her head slightly as she carried Allison towards Riley's room. Vanna followed them.
Riley and Gail just finished up.
Gail moved out of the way and Samantha laid Allison next to Riley. It was hard to say which one of them was more worn out.
Samantha turned to go and Gail followed her.
Vanna could see they were going to leave the three of them alone.
"I'll take it from here." Vanna said softly.
Samantha and Gail nodded and left the room.
Vanna looked at Riley and Allison. They both looked so beautiful to her.
Allison looked over and saw Riley next to her, she kissed her.
Riley responded and pulled Allison on top of her. They were face to face as they kissed.
Vanna went straight to work. She sought what she craved the most.
Allison and Riley intensified the kiss.
It was hard to say who was the most excited of the three.
Previously:
Jesse went out into the hall. She wondered where Claire was. She smiled at the thought. She would find her soon enough. She would make sure she was on board for what she was able to get Allison to agree to 'try'.
She headed for where Cam-Holly was.
John felt like he was neglecting his work.
"I need to go check on operations." John said.
Cam-Holly didn't think it was a big deal. Things ran fine without John for a week and a half now. She quickly grabbed her phone.
"I'll check for you." Cam-Holly said.
She saw there was an operation underway right now. She was about to tell John it was no big deal when the door to the room opened.
"It looks like I arrived at the right time." Jesse said.
John saw Jesse was naked and held her robe in her hand. She tossed it in the corner and headed for the bed. He thought he was spent, but his body indicated otherwise. He was ready a little quicker than he anticipated. He wanted some more of 'that'. He wanted more of Jesse.
Jesse reached down and touched him as she kissed him.
"You're almost good to go again." Jesse said. "I like it."
Cam-Holly knew why Jesse was there.
"John can watch us for a few minutes." Cam-Holly said.
Jesse smiled as she kissed Cam-Holly. She moved down lower.
"I'm up, pay attention, love." Jesse said. "This is how we do it Down Under."
John wondered about the play on words. He did watch Jesse. He forgot all about doing his job in the Command Center. He really didn't care right now. Jesse looked like a Metal girl to him almost as she pleasured Cam-Holly. He moved behind her. Her tight trim body excited him. He started right in. He could feel her tense up for a second and gasp once, but she never slowed on Cam-Holly.
Cam-Holly thought Cam's chassis functioned very well currently. This was her best experience so far in it. Jesse could always get the job done very pleasurably.
Everyone was happy right now.
All three of them were on a ride of ecstasy.
The girls were inside of the establishment where they could shoot fully automatic weapons.
Cammy worked with Mary.
Ally worked with Laura.
Holly-Cam and Tricia did precision shooting on some of the other lanes.
The Metal girls worked Mary and Laura through all the weapons Sheila and Leticia used.
It took some time. Two of the Metal girls always did precision shooting which amazed the attendants. They didn't know who these girls were, but they sure could shoot. None of them exhibited the same charisma as the Asian girl from Down Under. She was definitely a class act of her own. All of the females they currently worked with were very beautiful. Some of them were incredibly beautiful.
Leticia was ready for more.
"Can we drive a tank now?" Leticia asked.
Sheila smiled.
"That's just my speed." Sheila said.
Leticia thought about Mary and Laura inside. Since they were all together again, maybe they should stay together.
"What about the others?" Leticia asked.
Sheila checked into it. There was an outdoor range located off in the hills where they could fire heavy weapons, fire a mortar, fire a wheeled cannon, and fire a cannon in a tank. There was also something she wanted to try out. It was a weapon she only heard about. It was around since the Great War in its modern form, and since about the first century in concept. There were other variations dating back centuries, long into the past.
Right now There was a tank they could drive in the parking lot. She thought they could kill a little time and get in some practice with the heavy armor.
"We can wait outside for them." Sheila said.
They went outside.
There was a Chieftain MK8 tank. Hollywood made it to resemble an M1A1 Abrams tank.
They watched as a passenger car was pushed out into the parking lot.
Leticia wondered why they would push a car in the path of the tank.
"Why is a car there now?" Leticia asked. "It's going to be right in front of us."
Leticia didn't want to wait for someone to move it out of their way. She thought it was very inconsiderate and rude of whoever moved it in their path.
Sheila smiled.
"It's there so we can run over it." Sheila said. "It's something else I've never done."
The girls were outfitted with some additional protective headgear. Sheila drove the tank around first.
The attendants were impressed.
"Were you in the military Down Under?" One attendant asked.
Sheila shrugged her shoulders.
"I'm a fast learner." Sheila said. "I do plenty of other things Down Under."
The two attendants looked at each other and then at Leticia and Sheila. They didn't comment further.
Leticia moved into the driver's compartment. She believed Sheila was like a superhero. She looked at the attendants.
"She can do anything." Leticia said.
The attendants heard about her shooting ability inside. Strangely enough, there was more of the same group in there with the same abilities. It looked like there were two sets of twins. One of them was outside now.
Leticia got the hang of how to control and drive the tank.
Young Jesse didn't think Las Vegas was as grand as everyone made it out to be.
Hanna-Camille didn't think Young Jesse was having a good time.
"We can always do something different." Hanna-Camille said.
CamNet was aware there might be a problem. She wanted to offer some more options to Young Jesse. She sent the information to Hanna-Camille.
"How would you like to get some hands on experience?" Hanna-Camille asked.
Young Jesse perked up. She wondered what other options were available in what was basically a gambling town. She still thought anything which wasn't a casino on the Strip, or Downtown, looked like a dump. She did want to know what her options were.
"Like what?" Young Jesse asked.
Hannah-Camille decided to offer her the military options first. It would further her training. The more Young Jesse was trained, the more it would help ensure her survival after J-Day.
"I can think of a few things." Hanna-Camille said. "We can drive a M113 Track or an M60 tank."
It was something they hadn't done Down Under yet.
Young Jesse thought about an M2 .50 caliber machine gun. So far her only exposure to the round was through the Barrett Light Fifty. She used the M82A1 for long range sniping. It sported quite a kick.
"Can I fire a Ma Duce?" Young Jesse asked.
Hanna-Camille smiled. She wanted to point out a few other options besides the military ones. They did a lot of training Down Under.
"You can, as well as a minigun. You can even use the 105MM main gun on the M60 tank." Hanna-Camille said. "We can take a hot air balloon, go on ATVs, operate heavy construction equipment, or drive a race car."
Young Jesse perked up
"What kind of race car?" Young Jesse asked.
Hanna-Camille could see it hit home.
"There are several types." Hanna-Camille said. "It's just outside the city. We might even see a B1 take off."
Young Jesse would like to do several of those things.
Previously:
Cameron and Savannah entered the cabin suite. They moved to the window to look out over the lake. They looked up as a Learjet passed low over the lake.
"Is it one of yours?" Savannah asked.
Cameron looked at the small jet.
"No." Cameron said.
Cameron recognized the jet as one she'd seen at the Lancaster airport before.
Savannah wondered about the pilot.
"It looked like some aggressive flying." Savannah said.
Cameron frowned and then smiled.
"I don't think we're done with 'firsts' today." Cameron said.
Savannah wasn't sure what it meant. She didn't think there were any 'firsts' left between Cameron and her.
"Where did Jameron go?" Savannah asked.
Cameron wasn't sure, but it was most likely related to the Learjet which was back on final approach to the runway. CamNet didn't feed her any new information when she requested it.
"I'm not really sure." Cameron said.
Savannah wanted to thank Jameron for the use of his chassis by Cameron. She touched herself. She was a little sore. She hoped she hadn't got carried away.
"I may have overdone it a little." Savannah said. "I just really wanted to get 'it' out of the way and try it all."
Cameron smiled when she said it. After watching videos, and other people, things played out pretty much as they looked like they would.
"It's like you think it will be, but different too." Cameron said.
Savannah thought of the pleasure Cameron experienced as she used both chassis at the same time. She really thought it was a good way for someone to make a comparison between a male and a female.
"Which chassis do you prefer now?" Savannah asked.
Cameron ran her hands down the front of her sheath.
"I'm able to derive more sustained pleasure from this one." Cameron said. "I would however gladly borrow Jameron's chassis anytime for you. It was a very beautiful experience. I was honored to be your 'first'. Thank you for the privilege."
Savannah wondered how she would explain any of this to John. She knew he wanted her virginity. He took Young Jesse's, it would have to do. Maybe he would have Young Allison 'first' as well.
"I know I've disappointed some people along the way, but I don't regret anything I've done." Savannah said. "I wouldn't change any of it."
Cameron wasn't so sure about it.
"Would you have done what you did today, the same way earlier if you could have?" Cameron asked.
Savannah didn't even need to think about it. She wanted to try it at least once, for a very long time.
"Yes." Savannah said. "I wanted to get 'popped' years ago. I'm really surprised it never happened. John was given a chance more than once."
Cameron was in no hurry now for John to be with Savannah any longer. She wanted Savannah for herself now. She figured John had the opportunity on multiple occasions.
"He always knew where your room was." Cameron said.
Cameron told John many times he knew where each of the girls' rooms were. She told him none of them would turn him away either when he arrived. He went as far as all of their doors at some point, but no further. She figured his loss was her gain.
Savannah nodded.
"He did." Savannah said. "You were still my first, as a male."
Cameron reviewed the security footage over the years. She was aware John actually did go to Savannah's room many times. He even turned the door handle a few times, but he never went in. He always left and hurried back to his room. She figured he pleasured himself instead. He clearly wanted Savannah. He just couldn't 'take' her. Now the honor belonged to her.
Savannah came to her and held her.
"Thank you for everything." Savannah said.
Cameron looked over at the bed. She was ready for Savannah again. It was her new preference. She could spend forever in Savannah's arms.
Savannah could see the far off look in Cameron's eyes. She knew Cameron was lost in her loving, just as she was in Cameron's. There still needed to be some rules going forward.
"We can share and make love anytime from now on, Cameron." Savannah said. "We need to remember our duty and future, all of it."
Cameron thought of the Learjet.
"I will share as part of the 'Natural Order'." Cameron said. "All four of us must."
Savannah wasn't really sure where things were headed. She took Cameron under the shade of the roof overhang and they sat down side by side as they looked over the lake. It was a beautiful view.
"There are many more things to share as well." Savannah said.
She really hoped Cameron could see nature's beauty around her right now. She wanted Cameron to do more than scan the area for threats. There were no threats right now. There was only beauty. It wasn't all limited to the landscape either.
Young Allison's group heard a jet start. They looked down the row of hangers and there was a T-33 which soon started to taxi. She recognized it as the jet Cameron and Savannah were in earlier.
Mel handed Young Allison the keys to the Jeep.
It all made sense to Young Allison with the next transmission from CamNet.
"Your future starts today." CamNet said.
Young Allison was confused and elated. She tried to put all the pieces of the puzzle together. She looked around at everything as she did.
"Are Savannah and Cameron here?" Young Allison asked. "This place is beautiful."
Anna looked around. It looked like all the places with trees and water. It did look grander from the ground than from the air. On the ground they were a part of it. Not passing over it. The 'Savannah' in her could 'see' it.
"Yes." Anna said. "I understand about being on the ground. It's where the true beauty can be seen."
They watched the T-33 taxi past them. The pilot was obscured. It didn't appear to be an accident.
Young Allison gave Mel, Brian, and Randy a hug and thanked them for their assistance. She was glad they were able to 'get away from it all' for a while.
They watched as the male Terminators 'buttoned up' the Learjet and taxi away after the T-33.
Young Allison was sure there was more than met the eye. There needed to be something going on behind the scenes. Everything was a little elusive.
"Do we know what's happening yet?" Young Allison asked.
Anna wasn't updated.
"No." Anna said.
Young Allison wondered about the T-bird.
"Who was in the T-33?" Young Allison asked. "It must have been someone from the Resistance. It must have been a Terminator."
Anna looked at where the two jets went as they taxied away. It sounded like they shut down. She wondered why.
"I really don't know." Anna said. "CamNet hasn't told me yet."
Young Allison wanted a surprise, but not like this. This was all very confusing. Maybe this was why Cameron didn't like surprises.
"What happens next?" Young Allison asked. "Do we head for a casino? I'm ready to break the bank."
Anna tried to find out more. She was provided with directions and nothing more.
"I have an address." Anna said. "We're to drive there."
Young Allison climbed behind the wheel of the fancy Jeep and started it. She was impressed with its looks. It was clear it was very rugged.
"This thing looks like it can go anywhere." Young Allison said. "Are Cameron and Savannah camping at some rural location?"
Young Allison now wondered if this was part of a training exercise. Maybe Anna and her were going to be dumped in the Sierras somewhere and need to hike out on foot. She looked around to see if they were being watched. There were no supplies in the Jeep or additional weapons. All they possessed were what they carried on them and in the backpack.
Anna looked at her phone. The satellite image was blank as to the destination. She knew it wasn't an accident.
"I don't know." Anna said.
Young Allison wanted to check things out. She didn't care for the mystery. She took out her Model 66 and checked the load. She put it back.
"Let's go." Young Allison said.
Anna gave out the directions as CamNet relayed them to her. They passed through some city streets and soon they were on a rural road.
They arrived at a very fancy looking cabin. It was on the edge of the lake. There was a research vessel tied up at a dock. It looked like a fancy house boat.
"This is it." Anna said.
Young Allison hoped this was where Cameron and Savannah were. It looked like a nice location.
They could hear the sound of a jet. It seemed loud. They both looked up and the Learjet streaked out over the lake followed by the T-33. It passed it as they climbed into the sky.
They headed for the front door.
Moments ago:
Cameron was very content to spend time in the company of Savannah as they looked out over the lake. She understood this was what it was like 'to get away from it all'. They didn't need to do anything or worry about anything.
Savannah was very pleased to see Cameron looked at peace for once. It pleased her greatly. She saw Cameron sit up.
Cameron sat up and tilted her head slightly.
"The Jeep is back." Cameron said.
Savannah heard it a few seconds later.
Cameron stood and tilted her head the other way.
"There are two jets at full throttle." Cameron said.
Savannah stood and heard it too. It seemed loud.
They both looked up and the Learjet streaked out over the lake followed by the T-33. It passed it as they climbed into the sky.
"There goes our ride." Savannah said.
Cameron looked towards the front of the cabin.
"We have company." Cameron said.
They headed for the front door.
Young Allison and Anna stood at the front door. There was a keypad on the lock.
"Are we supposed to knock?" Young Allison asked.
Anna looked at the keypad. CamNet updated her.
"Enter a code." Anna said.
Young Allison looked at the keypad. She needed the numbers.
"What's the code?" Young Allison asked.
Anna knew what was about to happen.
"What you desire more than anything." Anna said.
Young Allison looked away from the keypad at Anna. She understood it all now. Goose bumps flooded her body. She reached out and pressed two numbers.
Anna watched as Young Allison pressed 'six' and then 'nine'. The light on the lock turned green.
Young Allison opened the door and entered with Anna. She saw Cameron and Savannah coming down the stairs.
Everyone stopped as the two groups looked at each other.
Cameron placed her mouth against Savannah's ear.
Anna did the same to Young Allison.
"Your future starts today." Cameron and Anna both whispered.
Cameron urged Savannah ahead as Anna did Young Allison.
The girls ran to each other and embraced. When they looked back, Cameron and Anna were gone. They were alone.
Savannah looked at Young Allison as Young Allison looked at her. Their heads moved closer and they kissed. They both looked at each other again and kissed longer and deeper. It wasn't a hungry kiss. It was soft and sweet.
It was the kiss of love.
The future was now.
If the two men didn't reappear in a short time, CamNet's Terminator was ready to move up to their previous position.
The two men hurried into the zigzag after they heard the second loud 'crack' sound. They actually were able to see dust or dirt drifting down after they heard the first one.
"Let's see what's on the other side." The first man said.
The second man seemed a little more concerned than the first one did. He didn't really care for his terminology about 'the other side'. It could be interpreted in several different ways.
"Let's get moving." The second man said. "The sooner we finish here, the quicker we can get out."
The first man really hoped they would have found something. He would have preferred if it would have been the sleeping quarters. It was always nice to find an occupied 'comfort bunk', especially when it was a female.
He moved carefully through the zigzag. He didn't try to project his light too far out in front of him as he did. He tried to keep it on the ground in front of him. He didn't want to advertise their position anymore than they needed to. They needed to be able to see. Without the light, it was total darkness.
He still carried his pistol in his hand after they checked the other room. He wondered if the other room needed a little further observation. All they'd done was look inside of it. Sometimes there was always more to find than met the eye on a visual search.
The first man slowed up as he was about to come around the corner of the zigzag. He hoped he didn't find a pile of rubble in front of him. There was no way to know until he looked. He shined his light around the corner. He lifted it a little higher for a better look. He really would have liked to have had a powerful flashlight. They didn't have one.
The passageway looked clear. There appeared to be even less debris in it than the last one they were in. He really wondered where it went. They' were given instructions to check out the area. Nothing was specific as to what they were supposed to find when they did. They didn't even know if the locations would still be occupied. So far they hadn't found anyone. Well, they hadn't found anyone alive.
It was clear there were other openings along this section.
The second man was a little relieved to see the new section they entered appeared to be less damaged than anything they passed through so far. Maybe the further they got away from the main part of the facility, the better the passageway would be. So far they hadn't heard any rumbling or felt any shaking or vibrations. He hoped it indicated the way they entered was still open. He continued to follow the first man.
CamNet's Terminator waited a short time after the men entered the zigzag. He quickly moved up towards it.
He paused when he reached the room they looked into. He looked into it himself. If he needed to, he could retreat into it if he heard the men on their way back. So far he hadn't. The room appeared to be a storage room to him.
The Terminator moved up to the zigzag and paused. He could hear the men further ahead. He went through the zigzag and peered around the corner.
The female Fanatic and Jill tried to decide what their next move should be. They decided they were going to leave. There was no need sticking around for something worse to happen.
Jill wondered how they would do it.
"Are we going to walk out past the front so they see we're leaving?" Jill asked. "Would it be better to just use the side door by our room? We could just slip out unnoticed."
The female Fanatic thought there might be a better choice available to them.
"We could also go out the rear window and leave it unlocked like we found it." The female Fanatic said.
Jill heard some noise in the hallway. She moved back up to the door. Her hand was close to her Beretta. She carefully opened the door a crack after the noise passed. She could see two other people in the hallway. They appeared to be guests.
"Maybe the window is the better choice." Jill said. "Are we going to take the car we borrowed?"
The female Fanatic was a little concerned about it. With the police at the scene earlier, it's possible someone may have spotted it. There could be someone watching it to see who returned to it.
"I think we should look for a new set of wheels." The female Fanatic said. "We might find one at the diner. If not, there will be others."
She knew there was a better than even chance someone would accost them once they were out on the street. As long as she was armed, she would be able to gather whatever she needed to. Even when she wasn't armed, she didn't have too much trouble getting her hands on what was necessary.
She knew she should check on some of the past Skynet locations she visited. It wasn't what she really felt like doing right now, but it was her duty.
Jill was ready to vacate the premises. The place gave her a bad vibe.
"Let's use the restroom and go." Jill said.
It was what they did. They both put their wigs on for a disguise. They could always be discarded at some future point if they needed to change their appearance quickly.
The female Fanatic moved back to the rear window and looked out. There was no activity in the back. There was no sign of the delivery van.
Jill took one more look out the door of the room. There was no one spotted in the hall. She took one last look around the room and joined Jackie at the rear window.
The female Fanatic went out first. She took one look around as soon as she was out. It was clear. She went to help Jill, but Jill was already on her way out. As soon as Jill was clear, she made sure the window was closed the way they found it when they returned from the diner.
The two females quickly moved away from the rear of the Hotel 6. They were sure it really was the Hotel Hell for some females.
They made it through the back area to the rear of the diner. There was no sign anyone spotted them. There was no sign of the delivery van. There was no sign of the police. Those were all good signs.
They continued through the back areas. They weren't ready to go out to the street yet. It wasn't really an alley, but seemed to serve the same purpose. They soon approached the next side street.
Jill wondered about what would happen next.
"What's your next move?" Jill asked. "I'll go with you on any more of your operations if you want me to."
Jill wasn't really sure exactly what Jackie believed in. It was clear Jackie was dedicated to it. It seemed to her the individuals they dealt with all deserved the fate they received. She felt they did a lot of good together, especially with some of the other things they were involved with.
The female Fanatic thought about the very same thing.
"We can revisit some of the areas I've been to." The female Fanatic said. "It's been a few days for some of them. There are other ones my team visited in the past. There's usually some type of activity at some of them. It's not always related to Skynet either. We might be able to find some stragglers, or another group investigating."
Jill was pretty sure her life was on a time clock. It didn't bother her. She believed her life now had some purpose to it. Since she became associated with Jackie, they were working to stop an evil computer system from taking over the world. She wasn't really sure what SkyMaster was, but she knew Skynet was bad.
The female Fanatic and Jill moved away from the area and left the Hotel 6 behind them. It was time to track down the enemy she was sent back in time to stop.
Lena left Tina to question the man. She approached the building. The rear door was secure. She used a 'snap gun' to open the lock. She wanted to be able to secure the location behind them when they left. Most likely the two men wouldn't be going with them.
She could tell right away the location hadn't been vandalized like the other one was. There was no graffiti on the walls. There was no damage to the interior of the structure. There was no indication anyone lived there. She was a little surprised to see all of the equipment for the bakery was still there. There was none of the food or raw materials necessary for making anything around. Those were probably donated to one of the local food banks when the bakery went out of business.
She could hear Tina carry on the interrogation with the man. She headed back outside to collect everyone.
Tina was dissatisfied with the slow response of the man and his unwillingness to tell her everything the first time she asked a question. She needed to break a few more bones.
She could see Lena was on her way back. She continued to question the man as Lena collected the other man. She carried him inside of the building. She was fairly certain she was going to get no more useful information out of the man she currently questioned. She looked over at the rear of the building and could see there was a dumpster there.
She contacted CamNet and asked to have someone pick up the dumpster at the rear of the building. Since the establishment was out of business, it was surprising there was still a dumpster behind it. She listened to the man whimper about his latest injuries. She reminded him they were all his own fault. All he needed to do was tell the truth. It really didn't seem very complicated to her.
The drone images didn't indicate there was anyone or any activity around them. There were no vehicles or anyone on foot detected. It was time to move things forward.
Tina snapped his neck without any warning. It was his choice to serve the enemy, not hers.
She exited the SUV and brought him with her. She moved him to the dumpster and dumped him in. There was some trash in there which she moved on top of his body.
Tina joined Lena inside the bakery. She already heard the second interrogation start.

Young Allison was fairly certain it depended upon what the definition of 'Fun' was.
Cameron had something specific in mind she wanted to do tomorrow. There were other days it could be done as well. Tomorrow was a good window of opportunity. She wanted it to be a surprise for Young Allison. She would try to see what Young Allison really wanted to do.
"Is there anything you would like to do?" Cameron asked. "We can go anywhere or do anything you want."
Young Allison was sure it was a 'loaded question'. It seemed to her Cameron might have something specific in mind. She still wasn't sure the bank robbery wasn't something known ahead of time. She didn't know if Cameron would cut it so close. Maybe it was all part of the challenge to her. She knew Cameron never backed down from a challenge.
Cameron now traveled northbound on Sepulveda Boulevard. The twist and turns on it seemed very mild after driving Sunset Boulevard.
"We've only been in the past for a few days." Young Allison said. "It seems like we've done quite a few things. It's actually been much busier than I anticipated."
Cameron glanced over.
"We could take it easy for a few days." Cameron said. "We could take a trip up to Tehachapi and look around."
Young Allison heard Cameron mention Tehachapi several times. She flew over it in various types of aircraft in the past. She knew Cameron was involved in a couple of operations around the area as well. One of them was a very traumatic time period for her. She wondered what exactly Cameron had in mind.
"Would we drive there or take the train there?" Young Allison asked. "Would it be a stop on a longer trip?"
For what Cameron wanted to do, it would be better if they had a vehicle. A longer trip could be taken another time.
"I think for this trip it would be better to drive." Cameron said. "It's just a day trip."
Young Allison looked at the construction of the 405 freeway going on in the cut next to Sepulveda Boulevard as they climbed up the hill. The tunnel was just up ahead. She looked up over the top of it where the 'Pink Lady' would appear overnight several years from then. There was nothing there but rock and scrub brush.
"Will we need to leave tonight?" Young Allison asked. "Do we need to go back and pack anything? Which vehicle are we going to take?"
Cameron knew if they left tonight, Young Allison would need a place to sleep. It would be possible for her to sleep in any of the vehicles. It wouldn't be comfortable. There would be more room in the back of the panel truck, but it still wouldn't be very comfortable.
"We don't need to go back unless you want to." Cameron said. "I already put a few things in the trunk before we left."
Young Allison remembered Cameron gave her a choice of vehicles before they left. She must have known she was going to pick the 427 over the 260. Then again, if Cameron actually packed something for them, mainly her, there was probably something in the trunk or the rear of all of the vehicles. She knew Cameron didn't sleep. She also knew Cameron didn't like to be idle. She figured Cameron already laid out some type of plan, even if she didn't. It was probably in her head somewhere.
"Are the clothes you're wearing appropriate for what you have in mind later on?" Young Allison asked.
Cameron glanced down at her short skirt. It had worked its way up while she was driving. Everything was clearly visible again. She glanced quickly at Young Allison. She pulled her skirt down a little bit.
"I have some more rugged gear in the back." Cameron said. "This outfit may come in handy at some point. You can see it's very distracting for those around me."
Young Allison was sure the main reason Cameron wore it was to keep everyone's eyes off of her and on Cameron. She appreciated what she actually tried to do. She understood it. She didn't want to discuss it.
"I'm good to go if you are." Young Allison said. "You can drive for now. I'm not sure if we'll take Sierra Highway or Soledad Canyon Road later on, but I'm pretty sure it will be Soledad Canyon Road. It parallels the railroad tracks."
Cameron thought there were several choices along the way where they could stop. She actually took Young Allison to all of them in their time period.
So far everything played out pretty much as she anticipated it would. She did want to find out if Young Allison wanted to stop anywhere along the way.
She wondered if maybe it would have been a better choice to take one of the canyon roads back into the valley. If she would have, she could have picked up Van Nuys Boulevard and followed it north. Once they reached Chandler Boulevard, it would be the alignment of where the Pacific Electric turned onto Van Nuys Boulevard from the east.
It didn't really matter at this point since the trackage was abandoned long ago. If they stayed on Sepulveda, they would pick up the segment where it turned off of Parthenia Street onto Sepulveda Boulevard and continued up to Brand Boulevard. The segment north of Chatsworth Street was only recently abandoned a few months ago. Most of the track would probably still be there.
She knew there were a couple of barbecue places along Sepulveda Boulevard which would be on their route if they stayed on it.
"We can always stop at the barbecue place from Tyler Texas." Cameron said. "We passed by it earlier."
Young Allison wasn't sure if she wanted to stop there. She ate there several times over the years. It was always the same. Maybe it was time to compare it a few decades earlier from what she knew. She had a distinct feeling it was going to be the same. She thought it was actually a good thing. If someone made something which people liked, there was no reason to stop making it.
"I think I'm good on food right now." Young Allison said. "As long as we have everything, I don't think we need to worry."
Young Allison wondered what exactly Cameron did have in the trunk of the Galaxie. It appeared to be a very large trunk.
Cameron passed through the tunnel at the top of Sepulveda Pass. The descent was much steeper on the north side. It wasn't uncommon for a car or truck to lose their brakes going down the hill. They would overheat and evaporate the brake fluid. Without brake fluid, there were no brakes.
Young Allison watched as Cameron downshifted into third. The high compression of the big FE engine immediately slowed the car down on the grade. Cameron 'double clutched' the engine into second gear. The downshift was smooth and the deceleration was very pronounced.
They made their way down the hill without incident. All of the other vehicles were continuously on their brakes going down the grade along with the curves.
"I didn't need to use my brakes once." Cameron said.
Young Allison noticed.
"Everything you do is perfect." Young Allison said. "I saw you actually needed to pull out the parking lights several times when people started to close up on you."
Cameron believed drivers in any time period needed to learn how to 'skill drive'.
"I didn't want them to go off the road when they realized they were coming up on me too fast. I needed to simulate a brake application." Cameron said. "They would try to swerve to avoid a collision. Their choice would be the oncoming lane, or the down the side of the canyon. I really don't like having to 'drive' for other people. If I can prevent an accident I will. Savannah taught me to always think of others."
Young Allison was glad to be on the flatland again. They traversed some of the same territory they passed earlier. They went by the Sepulveda Dam and flood control basin. They crossed over the Branch Line. They passed by the seedy motels. They went underneath the railroad tracks for the Coast Line. There was a train of flat cars with lumber and boxcars crossing over it headed towards the east. They didn't see the head end or the caboose.
She checked back every now and then and actually saw the bay window caboose as the train completed its crossing.
They passed by the barbecue joint from Tyler Texas and crossed over Roscoe Boulevard a minute later. They crossed over Chase Street and came up on Parthenia Street.
"The Pacific Electric tracks came in right on the other side of Parthenia. You'll see the big curve of the old right away. It's still there in our time period. Strangely enough, the right of way was turned into a flood control channel between Sepulveda Boulevard and Van Nuys Boulevard. The big curve is still there where the tracks turned onto Van Nuys Boulevard from Parthenia Street. They continued down Van Nuys Boulevard with the cutoff for the Canoga Park Branch at Sherman Way. They turned east right before they reached Chandler. When those tracks were laid in 1911, Van Nuys Boulevard was known as North Sherman Way."
It was clear to Young Allison whoever 'Sherman' was, they must have been influential at the time period since their name appeared on several major streets. He was most likely involved in the development of the land in the Valley.
Cameron continued northbound on Sepulveda Boulevard. She glanced over to where the curved street of Parthenia Place joined Sepulveda Boulevard. Sometimes she wondered how the city let a workable rail system for public transit get away from them.
She didn't want to dwell on the fact it was most likely because of the greed of a small group of individuals who saw an opportunity to make obscene profits by the replacement of a rail system with a bus system.
Your Future Starts Today
It never takes too long
Before things start to decay
Things start to unravel from the edges
The fabric of life begins to fray
Things will often worsen
Sometimes you just need to walk away
Sooner rather than later
Cheeks turn into a spillway
The events have already happened
They're useless to replay
Once the end has reared its head
It does little to delay
There is no sure way to know
If one will support or betray
The troubles begin to pile up
It does little good to pray
Take a good look around
It matters not what others say
Destiny and fate mean little
Your future starts today
