Maos and Yatsuhashi start walking around a bit
they go around and look through the first window

Yatsu and Maos were surprised by this man who didn't even hear coming, they turn and see a man with messy green hair, His attire is disheveled: his white shirt partially tucked into his dark-green pants and its collar raised, showing a slack yellow tie, along with mismatched brown and black shoes. He also has round glasses that appear to be opaque.
"i suggest you do not fight especially near the library"
"I am a doctor and professor Bartholomew Oobleck, If you two manage to pass the exam, I will be your history teacher"
"However,I won't be for long if you two are already fighting even before the academy, i suggest you avoid fighting"

Maos saw the rabbit and this Coco Adel he saw earlier,Yatsu went on the corner of the giant to sleep peacefully, he was only meditating at first,but Maos is pretty sure Yatsu is asleep right now
Maos went near one of the 4 wall of the room, sit on the ground while putting his back again the wall
everyone was busy doing their own stuff,he put his hand behind his back

[only 1 hour ?! why didn't you show it to me yesterday ?!] Maos start thinking a bit, he quickly realise his mistake from last time, then it directly what spell he could learn in 6h meaning the book only showed the spell that takes 6 hours to learn...[I guess I need to be careful with my request in the book, I always need to have a certain precision]

Maos just start walking around, and he starts using the spell on basically anything he finds, in less than an hour he would fully learn the spell
on the opposite wall of the room was Coco Adel, she sat on her "bed", she was just done making her bed and changing, she was thinking about what kind of clothes she would by next...she hope the uniform of beacon look good or is at least fashionable
she wasn't worried or anything about the clothes, anything looks good on her after all, she also realise a lot of boys and some girls were looking at her, but she choose to ignore them
she could Maos from where she was, he was reading a book
at some point she sees maos getting starting to touch different things in the room even things that really didn't belong to hi. he was walking around
Coco saw a strange guy who seem to avoid Maos at any cost, this guy had his bed and everything, then Maos show up to put his bed somewhat close to his(about 2 meters away which is given the number of people in the room is a long distance between beds) and the other guy packed everything and went to make his bed somewhere else.
the scary one is a teenage boy with dark skin and dark, messy copper hair that has a long fringe
as Maos start moving around, the blind guy boy actively moves around to avoid Maos
the blind end up near coco as he kept avoiding Maos
"is there a problem ?" asks coco to the blind boy
"you seem scared of something, you just been moving over and over"
"not scared...well a tiny bit, but mostly annoyed,"said the boy he turn to coco
"oh you're blind,"said Coco as she saw the eye of
the boy clapping his hands to his eyes. "Oh no!, I can't see, I can't see!"
the boy pretends to be in despair and confusion for a second, trying to be funny
Coco put a hand up "You are not what I expected. I like that. I'm Coco Adel.
"fox Alistar" the boy checks her hand
"so what with weirdo over there," asks coco
"this guy ?...he blinds me"
coco raises his eyebrow in confusion, fox noticed her confusion

never met anyone with that much aura before...he has so much aura that it's scary...and he has several colors, it disrupts my aura sensing and I can't properly detect my surroundings because of it"

"despite being blind...I can see the color of someone's else aura, everyone has only one color...and this guy has several colors.. 4 colors...it's probably linked to his semblance, seriously the color are constantly changing, when i turn my eyes toward him, I basically like someone was putting a flashlight right in front of my...and it's even rainbow color"

"I don't know, it never happened before," said Fox
"This guy has so much aura, you probably can feel it just by touching it"
"hmm.." coco suddenly gets up
"what are you doing ?" asks Fox
"you said we could probably feel his aura just touching him,so I'm gonna check it out myself"
Fox watches Coco getting up and walking toward Maos
Maos was just touching random stuff, he just finish mastering the spell actually

on her side coco was extremely surprised, she stay shocked, she could believe it, she could literally feel his aura pulsing,the longer she was holding his hand,the longer she could feel
this lasted for a few seconds, she look at Mao's,he had a confused look, she realise she was still holding his hand
she started to squeeze his hand to hide her embarrassment and make her action look like a test of strength, she suddenly had a grin as she activate her aura
"hey, you shake hands like a little girl"said coco
[this really hurt]thought Moas as he was struggling
"you don't want to play that game with me" said Maos [i can use wild magic to enhance my strength]
coco suddenly felt Maos's aura activating and right before Maos could use his strength
the two students were suddenly magically separated by some telekinetic force
"everyone it's time to go to sleep" said suddenly Glynda goodwitch as she enter the room, she directly went to Maos and coco seeing they look like they were about to start a fight
Coco looked at Glynda with great respect and admiration, Maos was surprised by Coco's eyes
"if any fight broke out tonight, the student involved will all refuse to enter the exam, is that clear ?"
"Mr Corvidae,I suggest you go to your bed and rest
Glynda look like she really wasn't messing around
"..."Maos simply follow her order and went toward his bed

after that coco went to her bed,Fox was still next to it

after a few minutes, everyone in the room fell asleep
in the morning around 6 to 7 am before everyone woke up, coco Adel suddenly woke up because of a strange noise, she get up and look, everyone was asleep
she looks at her scroll to look at the hours [almost 7 am...seriously...well, I already had a good sleep yesterday anyway], she gets up...the sun wasn't even up yet], she knew she had at least an hour before everyone else get up
she gets up and stretches a bit, she looks toward Maos...and realizes he wasn't there, she raises an eyebrow and starts looking around, she went in the corridor that leads to the outside, she realizes the door to the stairs that lead to the roof was open,Coco knew that because she went to roof yesterday to take a selfie with the sunset
she went up the stair and find herself on the roof, the roof mostly look like a giant balcony, and coco could Maos just seating on the railing on edge of the roof
she goes next to him,she could only see his back for now
as coco approached, she could hear him heavily breathing, she was next to him, she made sure to make enough noise while walking so he noticed her himself
he turns around and sees coco
"...it's you"said Maos

coco see his face and tired look [ouch..someone lacking sleep]
"having trouble sleeping ?"

coco sit next to him, his shirt was open,she could his skin and mostly a giant scar on his chest...she gave a closer look...several scars and burning mark had appeared on his body, she noticed his hand were shaking in pain

she gets up immediately and she grabs him his shoulder to force him to turn around
"you need to got the infirmary,"said coco
Maos grab coco's hand to try to push her away,but he couldn't

"My semblance...is volatile...and it links to my emotion...tonight I had the great idea of having a nightmare"

"...no..i doutb it's that...anyways my semblance got out of control...generally, I can control it or I can just slowly release it bit by bit...however it can do a lot of damage and a huge amount of energy makes it harder to control...you can call it an...aura surge..."
"you have so much aura you can't control it so you basically and literally blow up ?" react coco [that's insane..this guy is were most interesting than i thought he was]
"not really..it has a wide variety of effects..this time it was the big explosion...since in the room there was like ...you know full of our potential future classmate, I did my best to endure it since I lost control of it, thankfully there was no explosion...however the energy was redirected to my body..which is why...I'm like that"Maos show several of his wounds
"does it happen often ?" asks Coco,she a movement toward her eyes,it was reflex,she wasn't wearing her sunglass,but she made of movement as if she was readjusting it,she felt a bit stupid for half a second and move on
"to that extent no...so far in my life, it's happened like...3 times...4 times to that extend, now, on lesser extend it can happen whenever I use my semblance, however for it to happen i need to really lose control," said Maos
"Any idea what caused it? you know...I just want to know if you are going to literally blow up during the entrance exam"asks coco
"emotion in general overuse of my semblance...i can train to control more and more to avoid losing control, tonight is really a rare case"said Maos

Maos's wild magic was already healing him while it was slow because he could go to healing equal to a level 0 spell,he could still fully heal himself and have no scar later, but it would take a lot of time

Maos show a burn mark on his hand, he concentrate on it, the burn mark was slowly but surely disappearing
"you have so much aura that you can heal that much damage thanks to it...it's crazy," said coco
"I know..so I'm fine see ?"said Maos
"aren't you gonna deplete you aura?i mean i guess you do seem to not be agonizing, but we have Grimm to fight today" asks coco
"i should be fine, the exam is this afternoon right ?I have time to fully recharge,plus I still like 70% of my energy left"

"no..i think it's a good thing plus i don't really care about what other people are thinking about me"said Maos

"I don't care about what others think,i just want to kick ass and look awesome while doing it" said coco , she suddenly had a smile
"i think i did a pretty good job so far"
"i don't know about that yet,i haven't saw you fight yet,"said Maos
coco raise her arm"don't worry,you just to wait till the exam, while I fight,you will look at me and think, damn,this girl is awesome,"said coco as she made a movement with her arms like she was actually showing the scene to Maos

coco look at Maos's wounds, he was healing fast [it's amazing,i almost want him on my team..however, if I think about it in a logical way..I still don't know his semblance and i don't know what he can do...plus he can't control his semblance, his body is not that built, and he doesn't seem to have any physical training,he really looks weak in general]
Maos realise he didn't feel the pain anymore,he look at his wound,he was still wounded, but the pain was here anymore
"well...I think we should back inside,the sun is up...everyone will wake up soon"
coco stretched again as she gets up,Maos follow her mouvement
"yep..I..need a coffee..and a shower,i must really look bad with my bed hair right now, I can't believe I even resist this long"said coco
her hair were really messy,but it gave her a certain wild beauty, even without make-up or her stylish clothes, coco truly had a certain natural beauty and her confidence was proving her point,she look awesome and she knows it

after they both went back to to the room full of sleeping students and after a while, they fully change, Maos just use his ring of clothing (a magical item that he can use to change clothes rapidly) and cleaned himself with the spell [prestidigitation] which was more effective than any shower
however, coco and Maos were still the only ones up...which was strange

magic is not omnipotent, especially against humans, just because you use the spell [sleep] or a similar spell doesn't mean there's 100% chance of the spell working,some people with enough will or skill or even simple physical strength or constitution can resist the spell,it doesn't mean this person is immune to the spell, just that they resist it once,coco has a really good constitution,even greater than Yatsuhashi

Maos think a bit [Ozpin is probably going to try to use me in the end...but I don't really lose anything in this deal, plus having someone to practice with while help me learn magic way faster...so far he's mostly an ally]
maos took a pose, he put his close first on his chest and bow a bit , the custom a student in magic must follow to ask someone to be his teacher

Ozpin raises his left hand and open it and then closes it as he bows a bit too

Ozpin and Maos reach a building and went inside,it was an arena
"This place is where students can test their skill against other students or some grim,we manage to capture"

Maos obey and see an energy shield covering the arena

Ozpin start walking around the arena
"mana is like a river, when you try to control wild magic, your basically putting a dam to that river,and when you are actively controlling wild magic,you just allowing some water to go through however the current of the water is so strong that more water than expected is going through"
"However, you should not block that mana at all and let it flow instead,you see the flow of the water is never ending and when you block it too much,the water rises, either the direction of the river changes or the water just go above the dam"

Maos hesitate a bit ,he look at the book of magic

wild magic control: level 1 (meaning he can only control the equivalent of a level 1 spell in terms of power)
current spell casting level: 2 (meaning he can only cast spell up to level 2 for now)
"my spell casting level has gone up ?!" react maos
right after maos create a strong wind around him for a few second and violently realize it
"See ?"said Ozpin
"now you must not stop learning spells, not if you want to fully control your wild magic"
"you must learn the spell chaos bold for the exam, just in case,i won't allow you to intend the exam at all if you can't use it"
"but it's in 6 hours...the spell can only be learned in 8h ?!"said Maos
"then you better start now,"said Ozpin as he take sips of his hot chocolate
...on that Maos stay silence

MAos suddenly got all the information on the spell and immediately start practicing,at first the spell was simply a beam,it doing different effect like ice and fire at the same time, after 2 hours it finally became a bolt...and 2 more hours after that Maos finally to learn the spell
"congratulation,4 hours and 26 minutes, impressive," said Ozpin
[did he really watch during the whole process ?! I forgot he was even there]thought maos as he checks the book of magic,he did master the spell
Ozpin turns around as he deactivates the energy shield around the arena
"you have 2 hours to eat and rest"
Maos follow Ozpin outside
[this kid is a monster, nobody should be able to learn a spell like that in such a short time...Osiris...there's more to this kid than it seems...it's why you choose him as your student...]
Ozpin know that when Osiris was young he deeply envoy the sorcerer and hated them for a big period of his life because of how easy magic could come to them, Osiris got old and stop at least hating sorcerer, but he could now tolerate them...but Ozpin doubt that Osiris would simply take a sorcerer as his student
"you should rest, you will have a tough fight ahead of you"said Ozpin
"i won't go easy on you,also while you will be my student in magic...weither I am your teacher in beacon will depend on you"
"on my side, I will go to my office and prepare for the exam and also to make all the paper to create an ID, fro you,we will see each other in the main hall"
"by the way...why did you said to coco that you and I were basically brothers,now she must be confuse after what we explain ?...I get the idea..but I don't think it's a good one"

after that Ozpin left and Maos went to the cafeteria
he tried making a coffee like Coco did earlier,he eat a bit

Maos had trouble making the coffee,he imitate other students to make it...but he still had to use [identify] on each machine to use them, even the simplest one...
soon came 2 pm,Maos went to the main hall,he wasn't lost this time as he just had to follow the other students,Ozpin and Glynda explain the candidates had to go to the airships to go to a forest where the exam will take place.
and then Maos,Coco, Yatsuhashi and a certain bunny girl and all the other candidate were in a line waiting for Ozpin to explain the test,Glynda was by his side
there were 21 students in total
"Each of you will be given teammates. Today," Professor Ozpin had said.
"These teammates will be with you for the rest of your time at Beacon, so it is in your best interest to be paired with someone with whom you can work well. That said, the first person you make eye contact with after landing will be your partner for the next four years."
"What?" said a bunny Faunus
"you all while be launch in the air into this forest and use your own landing strategies, you have to find a temple, take one relics per duo and then bring it back here,on top of this cliff"
"of course, the forest is full of Grimm so be careful"
"However this year,there will a special relic...Maos please come next to me"
"There is ?"react Glynda she didn't know about this
Maos obey and stand next to Ozpin and Glynda and in front of every student
Ozpin take a stone tablet,in the shape of a playing card,it was a bit golden on the side and he gave to Maos, this card was the Joker
"keep it as long as you can"said Ozpin
[what are you doing Ozma ?!]thought Maos
"Whoever has this specific relic by the end of the exams will be automatically accepted into beacon regardless of their skill and performance during the exam"
several students started to complain
"That's really unfair," said a bunny girl,even fox, and Yatsuhashi were kinda angry because of it
"there's more to it isn't it?"said coco with a grin as the other student were starting to listen again
"Indeed,you see, for Maos this card automatically make him join beacon if he can keep it during the whole exam but there are no other benefits"
"while for the other student...anyone who can take this card from him and bring it back here will gain several advantages"
"whoever take these relics,will have the right to choose their teammates regardless of the group and pair created during the exam or even regardless if the people fail the exam or not, they have the right to be the leader of the team or not, they have to choose their room in the dorm , they will have an unlimited free drink at the cafeteria and several more advantages later in the year...a monthly lien allowance for example"
"of any of you encounter maos, ,you cannot be paired with him as a team,but you can ally with him or even attack and try to take his special relics,the course of action is your choice"
Ozpin turn to maos
"if you encounter other students you have the right to attack them...know that if you take one of the regular relics from the temple or from a group of students,you will gain the benefits adn join beacon like I told everyone earlier regardless of whether or not you have still have this special relic..however as you guess..the number of regulars relics is limited,...and some people can be greedy"
Ozpin turn to the other student again
"if Maos steal your relics,you have no right to take the relic of another group, you must take back your own relic, however, you can join forces with other groups of students to attack Maos and take back your relics...or even to take the golden joker"
after there was silence
coco had guessed the situation while she didn't agree to it [i know Ozpin doesn't want to give privileges to Maos..but that really strange...it's probably part of the test...because i see that a direct target on Maos's back.. other students will want to attack him now]
the bunny girl didn't agree with that idea either,but she knew if she encounter maos she would try peace first,she doesn't want to fight him
Fox didn't really mind, Yatsu was on the same page, they just have to ignore Moas,they only need they own relics to pass the entrance
and the rest of the students...they were all staring at maos, like he was a prey, they knew that if they take the golden joker, the advantage will be more than choosing the team,but their general statue would increase
[Ozma, you're fucking insane to put in the spotlight like that ?!]thought maos,he was really angry
Glynda was on the side and silent,but her eyes were saying everything,she was pissed at Ozpin...this clearly is something is made up in the morning...he had warned her he would change the exam a bit for maos but no like that

the bunny girl raise her hand
"why give him special relics?"
"simple, during your mission,you will face more than just Grim, sometime the enemy will be a human or a Faunus, when there's a conflict you rarely encounter only Grimm or only bandits,here whither there's a conflict is your choice,"said Ozpin
ozpin raises his voice and start walking along the line of student
"I want everyone to know that you have every right to attack maos and steal his relics,if you get the regulars relics and not have his relics, you will pass,if you got these special relics and not the regulars one, you will pass,but know that maos has the right to do it too"
"none of you will have any consequence in attacking him during the exam scoring...the only consequence of course him defend himself,but know that he every right to simply knock you out and steal your relics...and no relic mean failing the exam"
[Ozpin...are you actually trying to kill me ?some student will obviously attack I can tell by the way they are looking at me]thought Maos
a random student raises his hand
"is there something special about Maos...why him and not someone else?"
"i think coco adel should be the one with the relic she's the special one, she's been breaking records all over the place..we don't know him,i guess this relic was given to suppose the strongest student...but i doubt this guy can stand a chance again coco" said another student
"yeah you're right..."said another, some students start to agree and talk to each other
"how about you stop going against Headmaster Ozpin's decision? just because you don't know who Maos is doesn't mean he's weak or a bad fighter, some of you have never heard of me...doesn't that make me weak ?" asks Coco as she shows herself to the other students
"...i mean no..."said the first student"
"Exactly!" respond coco as she grins
" if you really want to know,just attack him during the exam and you will see whether or not he's worthy of a special relic...but be ready to face the consequences if you're wrong"
"sorry to interrupt you professor"
"no it is fine,Miss adel"
Ozpin had as a tiny smile after hearing coco...Glynda was smiling a bit too,but she quickly lost her smile
glynda was looking at her scroll to see the information on the forest [the grims are getting agitated...what are you thinking about Ozpin ?! if this keeps going I will cancel this exam myself!]
"as information,this was a random choice,it could have been anybody taking the exam,I literally a roll numerical dice"said Ozpin with a smile
all the students were really confused for a second [that's...reckless],Coco didn't believe a single second,maos knew this was clearly prepared,Glynda didn't buy it either,the others seem to fall in the lie
the headmaster of beacon was known to have strange methods after all
However, some student didn't stop their thinking there [this mean he may be very weak!the special relic is mine !]
some students attach the concept of being lucky to weakness,which will be their first mistake in life
"I think you should all be focused on not getting hurt, after all...Maos is a neutral force here,he can choose to help or attack you,the same goes for you all,you can choose to attack him or help him, your choice"said ozpin
Ozpin start walking next to each student and follow the line
"Grimm will be in great number in this forest,there a lot of different types,so be aware of your surround, death could await you in the forest"
every student has a chill down their spine even Maos,some in fear some in excitement

[i'm gonna get killed because of this old man,i promise myself i will punch you all man when all this is exam is over...no it's a bad idea...!]thought Maos,his silver eyes turn to a glowing red for a second
he realise Ozpin would put in the spotlight, however, Maos would need to hide from the world, not show himself like that
however it wasn't that bad...maos almost go seen as different from your regular student,but the lucky draw thing said by Ozpin made him less special..Just a random lucky guy
Ozpin definitely had more plan for Maos than just training him and He knew it
"now, no more questions...time to start the exam, remember, landing, temple, relics and then cliff,fight Grim to survive and special relics if you choose too"
"and also remember,a conflict between students will attract Grimm"
all the students get ready
"professor goodwitch, please activate the platform"
Glynda was silent for a second and glared at Ozpin.
Ozpin seem to insist with his look...eventually she did activate all the launcher
every student was then sent into the air
Maos was in the air, he realise he was really high in the sky

he active his wild magic and create a strong wind with him, it was making him slower and slower
at some point, he land on a branch of a tree, but his momentum was still too great to he had to jump from branch to branch and tree to tree with the magical wind helping him, he seem extremely agile and fast, it's a forest after all
Maos had druidic lineage from his mother,he always had a certain link with nature, while he was never taught how to be a druid nor had the power of a druid, he still sometimes has a strange instinct, especially in nature and in this cased a forest,this instinct is basically the only he got from his mother and of course ,her wooden staff which he use as his own,sadly the staff was not charged anymore and was useless till he fixes it,he didn't even really why he brought it with him to the exam..well it's not like he had a place to stock it as the locker for the weapon were only temporary
Maos did a last jump with the magical wind, he land on the ground and rolled as the magical wind stopped

maos felt stronger in general. he guesses that the breakthrough achieved by the magic surge..did not just unlock a higher level of wild magic or spell casting, but his body became stronger in general to endure it, he felt a tiny bit more muscular than before..he isn't muscular at all to begin with,but he does sense a physical difference,now that he actually did a physical effort with all those jumps.
he knew it was an actual effect as he read it in a book about someone getting extremely athletic after learning magic,to contain and control more powerful magic,the body becomes more resistant and stronger

maos remember what his mission was.
"Ozpin clearly wants to create conflict between students...but why ?"
maos start thinking a lot
[he probably wants to test the resolve of the student...their greedy ness]
[if they are ready to attack a potential ally to gain privileges...if I am ready to attack people to gain privileges]
[he made a third party..which is me...he want to show the student not everyone is your ally and not everyone is your enemy...and that even people on the same side can attack you for a selfish reason]
[our conflict will attract Grims...he hopes we join forces against Grims after we all fight each other ?]

Mao felt the magic surge coming, his eyes became to glow a blue color
[chaos bold]! a hissing, rippling mass of chaotic energy came out of Maos's hand and hit a tree, the whole tree suddenly turn into ice and then fall apart like glass
maos breathed slowly to calm himself
"calm down ...think logically Maos..."
[I will end up on other people on the way...some may attack me...some may be allies some enemies...wait...when i think about it...we're 23 candidate...but the team are made of only 4 people...]
[he said no one can be paired up with me..Like I can't get a team?I'll a one-man team ?...I hope...and it would make sense Ozpin doesn't seem like the kind to risk 3 random students to learn about magic as by simply living with them, they would be bound to discover the truth eventually..he intends to make me pass solo to keep magic a secret]
Maos stand tall and draw the staff of Osiris
[so in reality i just need to reach the cliff...that's it...i will help a few students on the way if I meet some..and if they attack...well they ask for it]

Maos point the top of his staff at a tree ,he start using wild magic,he creates a big ball of condensed wind the size of bowling ball and then launch it to a tree
it was more power than expect,as it completely destroy the tree trunk...and the tree after that...and the tree after..making fall 3 trees
[when using my staff as a catalyst..i can use level 2 wild magic,however...i didn't want to launch it that soon..nor was aiming at THAT tree,but the tree next to it...I can't control it's power either...I can just generate it without blowing up myself...but i can't use it as I please]
maos raise his empty hand toward the other side

Maos hurl a mote of fire at a tree...the projectile is the size of a tennis ball while it didn't destoy the whole trunk of the tree...it went through 4 trees
[i should try to not abuse my wild magic and use more spells..except for things that enhance my body...spells should allow to kill anything in this forest]
Maos look around....[now i should find the cliff..in which direction is it ?]
he suddenly had an idea, he enhance his body with level 1 wild magic and start jumping around
the tree were 30m high each,and Maos could jump now 10m high with ease
he jumps on the first branch,and then again to a higher branch.
he needed a last jump to reach the top of the tree
[this feels so different...and i can enhance my body even more!I don't the spell jump anymore !]
he jumps concentration due to excitement..he jump were too high and end 20 meter above the tree...at least now he could see everything..he could the cliff where ozpin and glynda were...his aim...he also saw that the temple was on his way in a straight line
"I didn't mean to jump that high,i didn't want to jump that high?!"
"oh hey i can see everything from up here"
"Ozpin you cunning fox..."said maos as he saw the temple
and then he start falling...thankfully he manages to land on a branch
"book of magic...I want to learn jump...."maos was very embarrassed and felt dumb, but he just got very information he needed to master the spell
[from what happened this morning..if i learn a spell without restriction..i can learn it faster...making i learn jump quickly]
then maos let himself jump from branch to branch with his magically enhanced body,he could easily endure a 10 meter even a 15-meter fall on his legs
"well now...let's go the to cliff...and temple i guess since it's on the way..."
