for Maos,this would be a very boring class, he knew already all types of grim thanks to the library and documentation grim from the old world,Maos is highly knowledgable when it's come to grim
at some point they are given textbook for this class,maos start reading it and quickly realizes something as he read the book,he starts flipping the book very fast as he give quick look at each page

Maos loved this class, and Oobleck also realize it...in fact, everyone realize it,Most people thought he was dumb at first by the stupid he was asking throughout the class, common historical knowledge that he didn't know, however that didn't stop him,Maos seem really interested in history and despite his lack of knowledge,he was giving his 100% attention to this class
this thirst for knowledge was quickly admired by other students,Maos look like an idiot, but an idiot who was genuinely trying to get better,this was very motivating for people who were quiet and shy
coco and her team had kept the same placement as the previous class coco was looking at her sunglass, she had to take them off in classes
"he is quite..the special student,his knowledge in grim in above average,but his history knowledge..is...non-existent ?"

Maos look at the hour,it's 5pm,he had self-directed sparring right now [i think it's in the arena...with miss goodwicth]
he went,there,this time team CFVY hadn't wait for him,seem like coco was impatient for this class and quite literally drag the others to it
the class was mostly about sparing between students, each person was paired with someone to trained
however there is one rule for today,no aura,only skill,it's mostly to test student abilities in combat not their aura
MAos was paired with velvet,they had to point the flow of the others
maos look at velvet doing a different movement
[she's incredible...her semblance really makes her a scary opponent...]
"you are really impressive"
"thanks "the rabbit girl smiled a bit "you're not that bad either...",she seemed hesitant to say something

"i don't want to be mean...but your aura is the only reason you manage to survive this far...while you have a bit skill with staff and even hand to hand...it's really not...on the level a huntsmen should have...i don't think a staff is the right weapon for you either"
in truth,Maos was basically getting beat up by velvet, his magic to enhance his body, was the only thing allowing him to stand his ground against another student and Grim, against someone like velvet who could copy the fighting style of other people,he could barely do anything
in fact,he had bruises here and there, while Velvet was never even hit

velvet went and took on of the training weapon,she took 2 wooden swords, one for her, one for Maos
"you...want to give it a try ?this class is for this exact purpose,I've seem some other people took a different weapon the one they usually uses" asks velvet
"i get it...it's that my staff are made to help me channel my semblance and control it better,it because of the material use to make them...and a few other things"
"can't you just make a sword...but with those materials?...i mean i don't how those staffs of yours were made,but if you can make a new object like that..,a sword,i think it would be a pretty good weapon if you take your time making it"

he suddenly froze,he get back to reality by velvet gently poking him with a wooden sword " you're okay ?"

they both went in the elevator,he start going after Ozpin put a strange code in the elevator pad
they reach the first ground..but the elevator doesn't stop ,Ozpin look at Maos,the young man wasn't even surprised
"every high-level wizard has a secret facility,"said Maos "it's common knowledge"
"...i guess,i should have expected that reaction from you" Ozpin take a sip from his cup of hot chocolate
"we passed several underground floor..there's more than one room right? what are you hiding in there ?"
Maos start thinking a bitt,Ozpin raise an eyebrow at Maos
"perhaps a relic ?"Maos ask "it would totally make sense to hide one under a school of trained warrior.."
"while you are right about a relic being present under the school,we are not going to see it's vault"
the door opened to a big arena, several weapons were here and there
they both enter
"here,you'll learn to control your wild magic, learn spell,and of course, you'll also try to find your own fighting style or at least something more suited than a staff"
"am I going to learn a spell now ?"
"no,you will be training physically,put your 2 staffs on the table over there" and maos did just that
the moment the 2 staff were on the table,Maos barely had the time to blink that he was sent to the wall by a powerful hit,it hurt a lot
"for tonight,you have no right to use any spell, fist or any weapon you wish except staff,you have the right to use wild magic to boost yourself but no spell or elemental control",Ozpin starts spinning his cane
Maos get up in pain
"damn it...it hurt"

ozpin keep walking toward Maos
"while magic is a powerful weapon, you are supposed to be a huntsman,a man who fights monsters with a weapon,of course, you can use you magic against them,but it wouldn't be unnoticeable at all, especially with Salem around, which is why I intend to teach you how to properly fight"
Ozpin throws a sword at Maos,the student manages to catch it,it was sword,the nice of the can of Ozpin
"you understand I won't go easy on you,in fact, I won't pull any of my punches,"said Ozpin
Maos barely had the time to react,Ozpin was already in front of him, poking hundreds of times in a mere second and finishing with a punch that sent Maos all the back on the wall,, this time Maos is bleeding
MAos spit a bit of blood "you're using magic to boost yourself!"
"so ?Ozpin rushed at his student again as a green aura appear around him ,Maos enhance his body,get up and parry the hit by swing down his down,ozpin's cane follow the movement of the sword,but an instant of stopping,it change direction and hit the boy on the right side of the head at incredible speed
Ozpin made a few combos of several hit at Maos,the student could barely follow,that someone a tired Maos was in the of the arena,the hand wielding the sword was trembling,the few hits he had managed to counter were meant to be counter and use as trap,and the strength behind each hit even on the sword was colossal
[i'm surprised,he hasn't given up yet]thought Ozpin
"i don't understand...how it possible...you're using level 1 magic to boost yourself just like me..how come you are so much faster and stronger than me ?"asks Maos
"it's simple really,"said Ozpin as he dash at Maos,the boy parried the hit, forcing Ozpin to spin on himself and kicked Maos in the stomach
"it's called experience,and training,my body is trained to fight,you see when you say, enhancing body with wild magic,level 1,it's more like percentage boost"
"it's increasing my speed and strength by 100% it doubles it, however,my 100% is way stronger than yours"
Ozpin try several weak pokes at Maos,the student manages to block some of them,"you're lacking physique, while leveling up in magic upgrade your body,it's merely increasing your stamina and physical strength and a speed by pretty 5% to 10% maybe, while this boost is permanent,it's not much, you need to get physically stronger and also became more skillful...and i will fix that"
Ozpin did one last stronger poke at Maos, which the sorcerer fully stop by putting the sword like a shield in front of him
"i see...so my physic is the problem...i guess training can fix..however, i have another question",MAos's eyes start glowing a white color
Maos suddenly use level 2 wild magic to make a thrust wit his sword,like a very fast dash with an attack in the end toward Ozpin,the teacher suddenly put his cane in front of him and plant it in the ground,however, he didn't have time to use magic,he still blocks the thrust, regardless, the strength behind forced the headmaster to be push by several meters,the can make a mark on the ground as he use it to stay up
"why not using level 2 wild magic ?...in fact...I barely feel any magic coming from you..i can feel the level 1 magic...but that's all i feel"
Ozpin took another fight stance,he stand clear-headed and had his can point toward Maos "you see...it's a bit complicated,it implicates me losing most of my magic...permanently.."
"huh ?"
the young sorcerer didn't even have the time to react despite level 2 wild magic, he was suddenly punched straight the face by Ozpin and sent flying,the strenght behind that punch was definitely above level 1 or 2
"i can go up to level 3,but it' stop there"
Maos hit the wall and fall on the ground,his nose bleeding..probably broken,he touch his face "i think you broke my no- ARRGH ?!...this hurt..."
Maos get up
"how come you lost your magic, that's impossible...unless you use a ritual..I've heard of a ritual like that... the book of magic !..." a book appears near Maos
the book open at the right page,a certain ritual,Maos start reading the ritual OZpin look down as he let MAos read the book
the book gave a full page on the ritual of Euphrosyne
[i read a book about something like that that you could give someone more power by giving someone else one of their mana chambers, but like no magician nor sorcerer ever does it, because it's literally reduced their power temporarily and sometimes permanently if the ritual fails]
Maos read the book
/a natural-born magic user, each has 5 mana chambers (contain in their soul)which can be seen as batteries/generators for Magic/
/in order for a wizard to give someone else his power, he needs to sacrifice a mana chamber and give it to that person. however, even after losing a mana chamber, it's possible for the magician and sorcerers to create a new mana chamber to replace the one that is lost, nonetheless for that, one must still have at least have 3 mana chambers in his soul as the power required to create a new mana chamber is tremendous/
/if not the magician's power is permanently decreased unless someone gives him enough mana chamber to help recreate another mana chamber. this ritual and process of giving someone else mana is extremely difficult to achieve as the magician or sorcerer doing it receives an extreme amount of pain because he directly gives a piece of his soul and gives it to someone else, which is why according to the law of magic and it's application published by Osiris in XXXX, this ritual should never be performed by the magic user giving mana chamber and should be performed by a third party to make sure the ritual doesn't fail/
/this ritual required 8th level spell casting to be used/
/this ritual was declared illegal and classified as dark magic/
"you use the ritual of Euphrosyne...are you crazy ?!,and you used it 4 times ?"
"live for thousands of years, then you will tell me what is being crazy,i was getting desperate,i had lost my will to fight,so i decide to give my power to 4 innocent souls...i did the rituals,only once"
"you took away 4 of your mana chambers in one time ?!you do realize it could destroy your soul ?!"Maos get up and go toward Ozpin
Maos's face became a bit of more sad as he look at Ozpin's eyes "...unless that was what you wanted...you did that ritual for that reason...you were hoping to kill yourself,but still wanted to give a final gift to humanity"
"so...you're high-level magic is just gone? you're just Ozpin...a mere shadow of the battle-mage Ozma..."
"you're are right,i do not really qualify as Ozma anymore,I changed,my soul has changed...however my magic power remained..you see since my curse of immortality was put on my souls, therefore on my mana chamber...my power keeps reincarnating too, once the host dies the power leaves the body and goes to find a similar body...in this case,the bodies of young women..."
"your curse...it affects your overall magic ?...woah..."
"you gave your power to 4 young women..I'm really curious why ?"
Ozpin raises his can and stop Maos from talking
"4 maidens,they each have one mana chamber,i still kept one mana chamber so I could still use magic..also for the rest of the story..just open a fairy tail book"
Ozpin 's takes a fighting stance again" now, talking is over"

the headmaster suddenly attack Maos,they kept fighting for literally hours...well,not really fighting more like maos was getting beat up,Maos hardly knew how use his sword, however, during the night,he did get better, having a pro huntsman continuously attacking you..kinda forces you to get better to not die
however Ozpin also realise that Maos has a few emotional issues,in fact, MAos was losing control of his wild magic very fast when angry,the student was getting angry because he was so weak compared to Ozpin who barely had one mana chamber,even while enhancing his body with level 3 wild magic, which was hurting Maos ccould only keep up with Ozpin fro 2 or 3 second,he clearly got the lesson Ozpin meant to gave him
if he hadn't magic,the control of powerful force around him...and only his skilled and physical abilities...he would have died from the first beowolf he'd meet,and also that wild magic is not something he should play around with especially to make the flashy effects like fire or ice,he needs to learn to fight while only enhancing his body,if not for his safety,for the safety of others and also to stay hidden from Salem
"i will attack like I'm trying to kill,i want you to be fully aware of it,i won't hesitate to hurt you, even if you ask me to stop,i will only stop when the clock reaches 11,50pm,you better fight back as hard as you can"
,Maos quickly understood the situation,he was going to hate those special classes,at least this one,he was going to be put close to death every night,was Ozpin's aiming at something specific?Mas didn't know,he couldn't think about it,he was too busy fighting for his life,he didn't have a choice,he chose Ozpin as his teacher...a battle-mage...and now he was going through training even a regular huntsman wouldn't go through
the good old and very brutal training of a battle-mage,a magic user fully for war and being a hero...a training not many people survived,even Ozma didn't fully go through it as he was adopted by Osiris before finishing his training
MAos understood why he had this training,but he hated it,this probably could have been seen as abuse toward children, because it was,Ozpin's attacks Maos were too violent ,Ozpin had a plan for Maos,but he seem the only one to fully understand it...
if he did understand it himself
,it was now 12pm,the special class was over
however,this was way too hard for Maos,this truly was hellish training,he was covered of his own blood, thankfully his wild magic could slowly heal him,but he was almost dead and his clothes were still full of his blood; he look almost dead as he walk in the corridor of the academy,he encounters now one..for the first since a few days,he truly felt alone
[prestidigitation],Maos was cleaning his clothes and face from the blood as he arrive next to his room
he walk with pain, literally,he never felt so weak, clearly, if he was a regular person with a regular aura,Ozpin would have kill him with those attacked,the sorcerer felt bad and angry and weak and tired, thankfully he manage to calm down before arriving in front of his room,he was still hurt everywhere,he was forced to walk like an old man using his staff a support
Ozpin have given him painkillers...which weren't really enough
the sorcerer to his room, change to his pajamas with his rings and go in his bed,his magic was healing him, very slowly,still this healing was faster than before
Maos look at the sky from his window,he thought of everything that happened during these special classes
"Ozpin is not looking for a student,he's looking for a way to free himself,he's looking for a weapon against Salem...i'm the only thing he saw close to it at least in in a very long time,since I'm not immortal,and the chance of another sorcerer like me being in this world is very slime, he know I may be his last chance"
Maos give a look to the staff of Osiris,he thinks of a sword...[do i have the right to dismantle it to make a weapon...i need a sword that can channel my magic...the ritual to create such a weapon would need me to be 5th level casting to have the right to know the ritual,Ozpin probably know it...the book won't let me access to it as I am too low level now]
Maos still wondered one things
"why did Osiris gave me his staff...i already have mine..even if doesn't work at the moment"
suddenly the book of magic appears in front Maos, opening a page,it was a page about the staff of Osiris,it was a letter,on the page next to it was a drawing of his staff
/to whoever reads this,I am Osiris the inventor of this book,this page is about my staff,my most precious you can not use it then the staff has rejected you as it's master, long ago this use to be a sword and not staff,after fighting the gods, I decide to destroy my old sword and use it as materials to create this staff/
/this staff represents peace between me and the gods,a sword transformed in a mere staff,my own vow toward peace,however to whoever who bears the staff,if you are chosen by the staff or by me, you have every right to even destroy it if you wish,for me it had meaning,it meant a vow, for you,it's only an object,a tool remain a tool/
/if the staff has recognized you as it's master,i gladly allow you to change the staff back to his original form,a magnificent sword,the book can teach you the right ritual/
then a note was written in the bottom of the page,not by osirsi ,but by the book /reach a higher level of spell casting to unlock special information on the staff and its uses/
the page turn to reveal a ritual that could change the staff to a sword,that required 3rd level spell casting
Maos gasp "it use to be a sword ?!...I guess i have my weapon...i wonder...did the staff acknowledge me as it master ?i can use magic with it,so i guess it did...the sorcerer start moving a bit,he was curious to look at the staff to see any hint about the sword it use to be
[apparently, the staff has more uses...it is like the book of magic ? the staff/sword is a special object too ? , the sword was created by a 12th-level spell casting Osiris after all...it may have another usage than just channeling magic...but I'm not strong enough to know yet...]
as Maos move even a tiny bit,he immediately felt tremendous pains,his injuries weren't healed yet
"gh...ok...ok...not tonight...the ritual requires 3th level spell casting anyways..I'm barely 2th level spell casting"
"sleep it shall be..."
after that the book of magic close and Maos quickly fell asleep because of how tired he was,
he had a long day...and a short night
