after 2 weeks Of Maos starting his life as student of beacon,the specials class given by Ozpin starts taking a severe toll on Maos's body, he fell asleep several times during the day,and seem constantly tired,and yet somehow he manage to still have pretty good grades,while he didn't know he is the top student of his class,he never asks and never care about his ranking in grade compare to other students.
one day,in the cafeteria
Coco,Yatsu and Maos are taking a small break,Velvet and fox were busy with an assignment
velvet was apparently bullied earlier,Coco beat the guys doing it,Maos and Yatsu had to force her away, they bought her to the cafeteria to calm herself
"Why doesn't she just say it to the teacher ?...i even saw another student get bullied..."Coco said
Maos stop drinking his coffee for a second
"when i think about it ? is there like a student that acts as a link between the student and teacher?" asks MAos "while the teacher will listen if a student complains about bullying...some students still have a hard time saying it,it is probably because of the different status between teacher and student"
"you mean like a student that represents the others ?"Yatsu asks "a student representative ?"ad Coco
Maos raise an eyebrow "yeah ? does is sound like a bad idea ?"
Yatsu and coco look at each other " i mean no..it a good idea...maybe you could actually talk to it to a teacher"
"but who ?" asks Yatsu "i guess the student can vote for a candidate ?, having like a small election" respond Maos
"like the council of vale is elected ?" asks Coco
Maos snap his finger" exactly!"
"i will talk to Ozpin about it"
"maybe not you..."said coco
"too late"
Maos jump on the table as he hears Glynda voice next to him
"you were here all along ?!"
"don't stand on the table please," said Glynda as he adjusts her glasses
"Sorry..."MAos goes back in his seat
"i think this is a good idea...I will talk to principal Ozpina and the teacher in the next meeting"said Glynda
"..." team CFVY and Maos stare at Glynda as she leaves
a day later, Glynda came to Maos, to say that the idea was rejected by the teaching team and Ozpin, apparently, giving a higher status to a student is a bad idea and could have a bad result on beacon values, Maos was a bit disappointed, but he just chooses to not stop coco anymore when she defends velvet and attack the bully
a week after ,during the night, Maos is going to his room, he was done with a special class,he was tired, hurt, bloody like Usual, and almost dead
[this old man must be trying to kill me,he must really i'm his last chance,he doesn't even hesitate to stab me,desperation can make someone harsh to other people]
despite his training and the class being every day,Maos was still getting beat by Ozpin, sure his progress was crazy,but not enough to actually stand his ground against Ozpin, especially given that the professor was holding less and less back,even worse most of the really heavy injuries comes from wild magic surge due to Maos not managing to stay calm in combat or going overboard.
Moas had taken a few strong painkillers,while it could reduce the pain a bit,he is basically high because of how strong the painkillers are
Maos is finally reaching his room,his vision being shaky and being unstable
he see Yatsu who wearing his pajamas waiting in front of the room
it is the first time a member of team CFVY see him in this states
"shit!" yatsuhashi run toward Maos,to help him walk,Maos is breathing so slowly and is covered of bruises
maos mostly sound like he was drunken,the injuries he has are pretty serious
"don't worry,i'm fiiine..i just need a good sleep..My aura..my energy will heal me during my..my...what's the word again ...sleep ! my sleep"said Maos
"..."yatsu didn't say a word and started to carry Maos "w-what no don't do that,i can walk"Maos was trying to fight back,but he had no energy left
"i'm not letting you walk in that condition"
"but you don't neeeeeed to"responded Maos barely even moving
"yes,i do...as a friend..."
YAtsu bring Maos to his room and put him on the bed
Maos suddenly his ring of clothing to change into his pajamas, which surprise Yatsu
"hehe...magic trick..."said maos while being almost high,while Yatsu look at Maos's injuries
[did he try to kill him or something]
"maaaaaaybe...at it feel like it...he gave me a bit of painkiller...but it's not enough...it huuuurt,i think i need a bit more...one or 2 pills" responded Maos
Yatsu sigh "i can't do much for you right now..i don't have some kind of healing semblance"
the big guy start leaving the room as he finish checking on Maos,yatsu did not show it but he was really worried, those injuries were insane
[how did he even survive that? more importantly..how can a teacher treat a student like that ?!]
"b...by the way...yaaaaastu"called Maos, right before Yatsu reached the door to leave, Maos was almost falling off the bed
"why were you waiting in the corridor like that... ?"
Yatsu didn't even turn around"I... was meditating, when I got disturbed by the noise of your staff,you can hear a lot of things in the dead silence of the night"
on that Yatsu left and closed the door behind
Maos smile a bit..."pff...liar...",Maos quickly fell asleep,his eyes fully closed as he start being healed by his magic,his healing magic is almost passive now
Yatsu went into his team room
he look at his roommate, they are all sleeping
he goes into his bed, his bed was in between be velvet and fox,Coco's bed was next to Velvet
he lean on his bed, and hear a voice "so..is he okay ?",it was velvet,she's not sleeping at all
"no...i'm worried...he's hurt everywhere..." admit Yatsu
"it's bad,i can tell...really bad...it always is"said fox
fox could feel the weak aura of Maos,so little energy left, only an almost dead man had this kind of energy
fox is the one who detects MAos's weak aura every night and warns his teammate about it
team CFVY was trusting the teacher of beacon of the academy,but the moment they saw the schedule of Maos, they realise he was a very special student..and that this schedule was inhuman and given the injuries of Maos, those special classes, were close to torture
the worst of it...they were given instructions about it
Yatsu and velvet actually went to glynda to talk about Maos, they didn't the answer they were hoping for, they shouldn't intervene with his special classes or they could have serious consequences on their training as Maos was a rare case, however, they could feel that even Glynda wasn't that sure about those special classes,she warns that regardless of hurt Maos came back to his room, they must not bring him to the infirmary
the whole team was actually awake,but in their bed not moving,Yatsu was the only to actually dared to stand and wait outside in the corridor and go against the order of the teachers
coco didn't dare to go against the order of goodwitch and Ozpin,she was even against Yatsu going outside which one of the reasons her and Yatsu are giving each other the cold shoulder
she's just curled in a ball, hiding her head,her team is eyeing her for a second, trying to see her reaction, however,her head is turned on the opposite side
so far,Beacon is exactly like she hope it was...however Maos was the things causing problems,of course, she didn't accuse him off anything,but he was a very special case, anyone with a brain and who spend more than a minute with him knew it
she was telling herself that this was a must, he required to go to those special classes, maybe for security reasons,she spend minutes and minutes thinking about it,but regardless,it still didn't feel right, there must be something wrong with headmaster Opzin, he is not a violent person.
coco can't believe she thought Ozpin reminded her of her younger brother,did she really misjudge him that much?
team CFVY fell asleep except Coco,the silence of the night was now here,she suddenly heard something falling,it was in the other room,her bed compare to the others was on the wall,there,she could hear things in Maos's room
[did he fell of his bed ?]
Coco hesitated for a second...but that hesitant didn't last for long,she does not have the right to intervene about Maos's special classes,but that doesn't mean she can at least make sure he survives the night..right ?
[fuck it,I Am coco Adel for the gods sake ! this isn't like me to just let people down!]
she gets up silently, she walks toward the door of the room,she goes into the corridor and in front of Maos's room, she opens the door,she sees Maos's on the ground,he did fell of his bed, however, he didn't wake up,he was so tired,she slowly goes to him..she carefully lift him up and put him back on his bed,she noticed,all the bruises on his body,it was healing quite fast
[he's on his bed now,no one will know i was even here]
she realize thereis still the other bed in his room,she sit on a bed next to the bed of Maos's and just watch for a few seconds,he was slowly healing
she watches him for a whole minute,he suddenly start moving a lot
[is he having a nightmare ?],the leader of Team didn't really what to do ,but she know how to deal with that situation she help her brother deal with the nightmare
Coco just grab his hand very gently a bit,he seem to calm down after that,she could feel how warm his hand is,in fact, she's almost sure she see his injuries healing faster,but the hand is still shaking,after a few seconds,Mao's hand was not shaking anymore,he seem to calm down and start sleeping normally,seem like the simple presence of someone is enough to calm him down when he's asleep
she look at him sleeping as she kinda forgot she was still holding his hand,
she even find herself finding him cute when sleeping,this guy is such a mystery to her, how come someone can be so strong? how does the semblance work exactly?how many semblances does he have ? even without his semblance his control over his own aura is insane according to Fox.
she then look at her hand and his..she realizes the situation,she immediately gets up and stop touching his hand as she felt a sudden warm around her cheeks,she start actually blushing a tiny bit
[ok let's stop now...i don't want him to think I am a creep because i watch him during his sleep...that would be horrible],Coco give a last look to Maos as she left [this year is going to be hard for you...i hope i can do a few things here and there to help you...]
she goes back to her room,she enters, everyone is still sleeping,she goes next to her bed and starts leaning on it,she try to get some sleep
she heard of velvet who had woken "where were you ?"the bunny fauns had hair all over the place,she uses the scroll to have some light
Coco turns to velvet while staying in bed "i was just...giving a bit of help..."
velvet just smile at coco,her expression change a bit after that ,on of her rabbit ear bowed a bit while the other stood straight" are you sick.. you cheeks are all red...are you blushing ?"
coco's eyes widened...she immediately turned her back to velvet,and just use her regular tone of voice "no, I'm not...it's just too dark for you to tell..."
"i have my scroll doing the light..."said velvet "well,the light is to bright! it alters you vision!" respond coco "bedtime now" as she hides under the cover
velvet had never such a girly side of coco,she found it cute, but sadly she knew she would very rarely see it
a week later,Maos specials were reduced a bit, apparently, Glynda and some other teacher spot him going back to his room all bloody and tired, also the lack of sleep starts to affect Maos's work,but what really mattered is that some students were starting to realize it, which was a problem for the school imageand despite Ozpin being against it,he accepted
now Maos didn't have class during the night anymore
the night is now heaven for him now
a month later
thanks to training given by Ozpin,Maos nwow got some skilled with a sword, he could bet some people (not easily), BUT with body-enhancing magic,he was a monster during a fight and could beat most people, he actually reach 3th level control of wild magic and 4th level of spell casting,he learns a lot of spell and rituals (i will detail things in the next chapter)
Maos still couldn't beat Ozpin,and he couldn't beat velvet yet either,at least not without using body-enhancing magic
in the morning during a special class
"Today,we going to make you a sword,can you remind me the ritual needed to turn Osiris's staff into a sword? i probably have most the ingredients already" said Ozpin
after a few weeks,Ozpin had reduced his general aggressivity toward Maos during the fights in special classes a bit, he seem nicer in general, evidently, Glynda manage to make the old wizard rethink the way he treated Maos, Ozpin actually apologizes to Maos for being so harsh with him in the beginning.
their relationship became less like Ozpin needs Maos for something and more like Ozpin teaching a young sorcerer magic
their relationship was still a pretty profession and despite being nice to each other
Maos still had the thought in the back of his mind, Ozpin is a manipulator and can't really be young sorcerer knows that Ozpin is still hiding a lot of things and is still using the student of beacon as a human shield for the relics
"yes...book of magic"said Maos, the book appearing in his hand "teach me the ritual to change the form of Osiris's staff"
and so the book did
the ritual was done by Maos, with the assistance of Ozpin to make sure everything goes like it should, in general, the creation of staff or magical weapon to wield magic require a magic user to be able to perform 5th-level magic, but this was mostly a custom thing, not an actual barrier
the ritual requires little to no ingredient apart from the staff,it does require a lot of grim tear, but thanks to Ozpin,Moas learn that dust is also a great replacement for it,as the grim tear is used as fuel for the ritual and dust is a good fuel too,it's magic energy in stone after all
in the arena in which they trained Maos to perform the ritual,he seat in a meditation position
he starts chanting the incantation for the ritual, those were long, really long
Ozpin watch the staff of Osiris floating in front of Maos as the magic energy was filling the room,a aura of multiple type of energy could be seen,like a stream of water in the air, generating warm light, some dark magic, some light magic, soul and mind magic,it was a beautiful sigh
for the first millennia, Ozpin witnessed a young man performing a ritual, this remind him of the four little girls that were his daughter,if Salem and him hadn't thought that day, they would have probably create a strong magical lineage
the ritual is supposed to take almost 2 hours to complete,it felt like an eternity to Maos,the concentration required it is insane, but finally the shape of the staff seem to change,then it suddenly looks a liquid, changing form over and over
after a few minutes, the "liquid" seem to absorb a lot of dust and magic from Maos,A LOT, the wall and the ground start shaking
Ozpin suddenly receive a call on his scroll,it was Glynda...with a picture of the sky above Beacon
a against storm could be seen
outside the basement,in the area of Beacon
the student had a small break between classes
"coco..." called velvet
"yes ?"
a student suddenly screams a few meters away from them "what is going on with the sky ?!"
coco looked at the sky,it looked a tornado was being formed on top of the Ozpin,it was a storm or anything like that, pure white clouds were changing shape,Coco took off her sunglass to make sure she wasn't dreaming
Yatsu look Fox, the blind boy's hands were shaking
"you're okay ?"
"that...that's Maos doing it,i feel his energy I can see this wind!"
"What ?!" the rest of the team could only be shocked
"where is he now ?" asks Coco "special classes
goodwitch came to them "do not move and do not intervene this is normal according to professor Ozpin, she had a scroll,she is on a call with Ozpin
"don't worry, everything should be fine, try to calm the student down,it should be over soon anyway,"said Ozpin on the phone
"How can you be so calm about this ?!"Glynda seems really disturbed"
suddenly all the energy gathered in one single point and went disappeared instantly in a big flash, blinding most people, beacon literally became a beacon for 1 full minute
in the basement,Maos is standing up, a sword floating in front of him, the sword seemed made of gold at least material that looks like it, filled with energy, rune appear all over it...most of them were not active meaning the sword still had some kind of power inside it
Maos grab it by the handle,a huge shockwave of magical energy is emitted again,the sky became a clear blue like no clouds were even there in the beginning
every student and teacher in beacon felt the wave of energy
Ozpin sigh,now he needed to find a cover for this mess outside
Maos just repeatedly swing the sword and create a wave of energy using his magic each time,it was exactly like a staff but in the shape of the sword
[this is amazing...however it feels dangerous, this is not just a sword that can channel magic there a few more things,?...i still need to discover it, those runes...i don't know them...they probably have meaning or a magical effect..I'll look into it later]
"I'm sorry maos,i have to leave for the moment please join the rest of the students"
"why ?"react Maos
Ozpin shows his scroll,a picture sent by Glynda "oh...i did that ?"
the professor start walking away"i will make sure to assemble all the students...I'll make something up, i will cut the connection of beacon to the outside world"
Ozpin simply pushes a few buttons on his scroll
"also...congratulation on getting your first magical item"said Ozpin with a tiny smile as he left
Maos look at the sword after Ozpin left the room
"my first magical item,made by me...not really but it's still counts!"
his eyes became like small stars for a second, he almost jump in the air "i have my own weapon !", quickly after Maos put his in a sword sheath,one that Ozpin gave him
On his way,Ozpin... immediately after going out of the elevator,he changes direction to the dust lab,he made a small plan in the elevator,he activates his scroll on speaker mode which allows him to give a message all around Beacon, he carefully avoids the students
"my scroll isn't working..." said a student
"mine too,it just shut down!"
every scroll in the area is jammed
meanwhile, Ozpin reach the dust lab,he enter using his special access,he went to a container of dust of different type,he ready his cane...and damage the container and activate a bit of dust...making in explode the roof and go in the sky,it looked the weather may have been to a huge amount of dust in the air, which is possible
he then speaks in his scroll
every student and teacher hear a speaker,it was Ozpin "please to all staff, teachers and students, do not panic,go inside the building and stay safe,the dust lab seems to have a leak, and we'll need everyone to stay calm"
surprisingly every student follow the instruction,the teachers are also here to make sure no students just leave like that
everyone is brought to the main hall
Ozpin made a made-up speech about the dust lab...made isn't really the right word in truth he actually went to the lab and intentionally broke a few things and did cause an actual leak of the dusf tanks
he's on stage,a staff member approaches him and whispers in his ears "professor Ozpin why did you break in the dust lab ?",the staff had seen Ozpin leaving the lab
Ozpin just took a sip of his hot chocolate and stare at the staff member with a warm smile "security check"
the staff and some teacher stare at Ozpin for a second,the headmaster ignore them and just start speaking to the student
"I see all of the students are here most people correctly follow the instruction...the teacher and staff as well,I said it before in the speaker that a dust leak as occurred and cause the weather to suddenly change"
"the dust lab actually had a leak ?..are the staff member okay ?" react a few students,"damn...I never had that type of thing before,"said another student
"it did look like dust,"said Velvet ", Coco shake her head a bit, and Yastu too "yeah it's must be it"
Fox on his side remains convinced, this wasn't dust,it was Maos's energy, compared to other people Fox can feel aura and measure it, for him,he knows how much energy Maos has...and knowing his semblance things was totally possible
Maos soon reach team CFVY in the crowd
"hey..what happened?" asks Maos
"you just miss something crazy," said Velvet "you mean the sky ?, I saw it too, dust can do things like that ?"
"yeah,it can if too many different types and big amount activate as the same time, it can cause a weather change, the first time I actually see it" said Coco
"oh.."react Maos,
[dust is magic...so the effect makes sense...]
soon after the speech,Fox came to Maos,he manage to get him alone, and they met in the corridor of the school
fox is walking next to Maos "are we going to talk about it ?"asks Fox,he seems impatient" about what ?"react Maos,Fox speed up his walk to be ahead of Maos"you know...the weather"
"so ? it was just dust,accident can happen"explain Maos
fox almost dashes and goes in front of Maos which stops the sorcerer in his walk
"i know it's you, the one who causes those weather changes,"said Fox
Maos stare at Fox,the magic user didn't like to lie to his friend,the young sorcerer sighed "...you're right...I'm the one who caused the dust leak...I was making myself a new weapon"
maos take out the sword of Osiris,Fox could instantly sense it "whoa...that's blinding..." for Fox, he only felt a strong and warm light
"Sorry..."Moas put the sword back into the sheath, the sword is filled of energy right now",you see when making it..i miscalculate a bit and my aura got out of control...and I think it somehow manages to reach the dust lab...creating the leak"
Fox hesitates a bit "...i know you are lying,if it was just your aura triggering the dust I would have noticed particularly given the tremendous amount of energy"
Maos's eyes widened a bit,
[oh, of course, fox can tell]
"Okay.. I'll admit it was my semblance it got out of control again"
fox clench his fist
"you're still lying, I seat next to you every day in class, I know your energy better than anyone else, this wasn't that,"said Fox,he was getting impatient
seem Maos actually hurt Fox's feeling by lying, the young sorcerer hesitate a bit, if he wants he could just use a spell to persuade Fox, it could be so easy, he has the ability too, but lying to Fox really felt wrong,Maos had been lying about his aura, semblance while he just stays vague about his past, most explanation about himself was either a lie or a half-truth
meanwhile, Fox is also thinking about the situation,Maos is still his friend,be angry at him is justified,but Maos must have his reasons
Fox get closer to Maos and said "I trust you as a friend, I know you probably have reason to hide several things from us...I know you're a good person...but remember... you may not have a team to rely on, but you have to team CFVY, we may not be your team, but we are definitely your friends"
it's really strange to hear Fox being so serious about something like this, given he's often the comic relic in this kind of tight situation
after a few second
"Fox...I -"start Maos but Fox cut him off
"how about I forget what happened today okay ?" said Fox as Maos stay silent "but promise me that one day you'll tell us your secret...at least to Coco..."
"why Coco in particular ?" react Maos,Fox just winks for a second "...just give it some time", fox advance toward Maos and walks next to him
Fox suddenly grabs the shoulder on his side,maos felt the grip of Fox on his shoulder," I am serious,Yatsu, Velvet,Coco and me, we trust you and you can trust us, don't you dare break that trust,if you hide something and someone of my team suffers from it in any way, I will never forgive you"
Maos felt shame, from most points of view, he truly is the bad guy here, but from his perspective, he's actually protecting the people around him,if Salem somehow learns he even exists, he and everybody that exists around him is in danger,he didn't know having to hide most of his past to his friend would be so hard on the emotional side,in Beacon, Maos had found something he never really found in the ancient world and the magic academy,a group of friends, people other than his teacher Osiris that he could truly trust,Maos fully realizes it the importance of those relation now.
Maos took a deep breath as Fox still had his hand on Maos's shoulder
"I promise,i won't break that trust,i swear I have good reasons...when I am ready I will tell you all everything I swear on my Name" said Maos, he was truly sincere and Fox could feel it
Fox smiled "thanks"
they both here a few footsteps coming toward them,it was Coco, and she appear out of the corner from the outside of the corridor
"hey ! you two! quit slopping around we have combat class next!"
"Coming!"said fox and Maos at the same time
on the way,Maos got curious about why Fox implied Coco in the talk earlier, he got unconsciously almost stared at her while walking, she noticed it and stop
"is something wrong ?...there is something on my face isn't it..." coco touches her face a bit but finds no imperfection
Maos kept staring, still pretty perplexed about the situation "hmm...nothing...just forget it",the young sorcerer start walking again,as Coco looked at Fox in confusion,but Fox just restrain a tiny laugh
the situation is mostly dealt with,Fox and Maos had no intention nor need to bring that up again,but none of them forget the promise,MAos certainly didn't
a months later
Maos is going to his dorm,he peacefully walks, and he is happy, he manages to learn a powerful spell this morning and almost land a hit on Ozpin, he struggle a bit with magic since months now,seem that despite learning a few 4th spells,the progress in getting stronger and stronger is getting slower and slower, according to Ozpin it's expected,the difference between 4th level and 5th is tremendous apparently, same for 5th to 6th and it goes on
Maos hope he could reach 5th level before the end of the year to at being at the same level of a maiden, according to Ozpin,a maiden is about 5th level wild magic when they are correctly trained, but they can't actually do spells which is strange, maiden seems to fully control on the elemental types of magic, the theory that Maos made is that,the maiden is unconsciously limiting themselves with their own knowledge as they only use magic to reproduce on a larger scale what can dust can do.
Maos is still a lot stronger than before, he now can physically match Coco in strength, he's faster than velvet and Fox combine and he can keep up,but he still needs a lot of effort to actually beat them, he beat almost every first-year student once, he did lose a lot in the beginning of the year, his progress is admired among student, sometimes he is compared to some kind of champion in Mistral name Pyrrha Nikos, he doesn't know who she is, but apparently she's pretty good.
Most are convinced that he would win against Pyrrha eventually, the sorcerer became superhuman even for huntsmen, faster, and stronger, than any student despite his lack of skill with his sword as most student of Beacon has training year to own their weapon, Sure Maos has been training like a mad man with his sword and got way better,but he won't match another student in skill yet .
Despite that,Maos is seen as one of the strongest students of Beacon and that only when you don't count his actual spells., still maintaining his grade at made him sound like a prodigy, which also brought certain separation from other students, but he had team CFVY to support him.
some people were wondering why did he constantly wear a necklace made of dust, but never use it...but given his semblance they didn't seriously question it either,Mostly thanks to the neckless actually a magical Item from the god of darkness that made people truly believe and not question Maos's abilties
on the side,Maos practiced every day with Ozpin,Magic, Swordsmanship, and even hand-to-hand combat,on skill alone, he wasn't on par with Ozpin ,Maos never won once against Ozpin,but now at least he could actually now land a few hit during the fight
with that in mind, he walks to his room, he sees that his room is open, and he raises an eyebrow and he put a hand on his golden sword of Osiris which he still hasn't unlocked any of its special abilities
he reaches the entrance of the room
he sees Coco seating on his bed,, her legs crossed, she seems impatient and staring at the entrance, and of course at Maos
Maos enter his own room like it was a death trap,Coco raises his arms then moves it to point toward the closet of the room "what is this ?"
the young sorcerer's silver eyes turn to the empty closet
"an empty closet ?"
Coco takes her sunglass off" remind me how long you've been in Beacon ?"
"3 months and 3 weeks"responded Maos
"do you remember what i told you back then ?"
"that i need to have more clothes than what I currently have ?" Maos slowly walk backward to leave,but Coco get up and walk toward him,she throws some kind of credit card
"the day has come that you will finally discover what fashion is, just follow my lead"she walks past by him,slap him on the ass and goes in the corridor
"huh ? now? but I have special classes right after this !" complain n Maos as he follows her in the corridor
coco turn her head and look back and make a huge grin at Maos as she put back her sunglass on
"it's actually a request from headmaster Ozpin to get you some better clothes, apparently you're going to go somewhere in a few days,i just saw an opportunity"
"heh ?"maos look at the credit card,it, there is a small note on it with Ozpin signature on it
/special classes are canceled for today, have fun in the city, also miss Adle has a list of clothes that you'll need in the next few days for a trip to Atlas,you need about a week worth of clothes,also this credit card is on limited time so you should hurry/

Coco just kept walking, she never seem to be so happy, she hopped her way to the end of the corridor"come on! the airship to vale will leave soon!"
Maos then quickly follow her, he was wearing his beacon outfit, but he quickly change to his old one using the ring of clothing, even if Coco kept her beacon outfit
soon after,Coco and Maos are sitting in the airship, they are sitting next to each other,Coco is humming small music,she seems fully relaxed,maos not so much,he is a bit cranky, he was going to Atlas and didn't want too,he really doesn't like a cold environment
Maos look at her "so the rest of team CFVY isn't coming with us ?"
"no, velvet is busy with her weapon,Yastu is helping her and Fox is probably just preparing a prank somewhere in Beacon"
"...you seem really happy about going shopping," remarked Maos, Coco just turns to him,"you bet,i haven't done shopping since the entrance exam, plus as a bonus, i can help fix your...outfit problem..."
Coco gives closer look at Maos's outfit, she even grabs Maos's sleeve "what is your outfit made of? I have never seen a texture like this...it's not silk?it looks it could endure cold weather...while the clothes don't look that good, its fabric quality is above average,i already look at it a few times, but i still don't understand,who made it and with what ?"
Maos slowly grab her hand and put it away "first of all, that is creepy, second, the guy who made it is now dead, and third, it chemical mix, between silk and hide, a special recipe only known to people from my village"
and a bit of grim skin and bones...but I'll leave that part out...Ozpin told me to avoid talking about magic alchemy around people
Coco's eyes widened a chemical mix ?!, you mean that your people have invented a synthetic type of fabric that efficient ?! how come I've never heard of it, the world show know about it !"
"secluded village, nobody alive knows how to do this fabric anymore so just forgot about it"Maos stares at Coco, he is strangely cold about it, and he quickly shows he didn't want to talk about it
Maos still really hadn't fully dealt with his loss of the ancient world, instinctively he works or reads constantly to avoid thinking about it.
while during the first days he woke in the world of remnant he was still slowly adapting to this world and was so absorbed and curious about it, he could almost ignore the past despite a few emotional crises here and there, it took a bit of time for him to fully realize the pain he actually feels because of it, he didn't have any moment like suddenly he could just break into tears or anything like that, but every time the past is brought up by other...he almost "shut down" now and try to either avoid the subject or simply avoid the whole conversation.
the nightmare is still waiting for him when he sleeps, he doesn't know if it's the trauma or just the god of darkness playing tricks on him...maybe both
Coco back down and realizes that her excitement is a bit misplaced, sometimes she almost forgot that the village of Maos was destroyed and erased from existence by Grim, at least that is what she believes, She and Maos never had a real talk about his past, she just deduces it by the fact that Maos never talk about his parent or people from his village in the present tense and the nightmare she know he has from time to time.
Team CFVY just avoids the subject now just like Maos does, even magical surge is rarely brought up anymore as Maos gained a way better control over his powers,Team CFVY doesn't know it, but he still has a few frequently while fighting Ozpin, as this one-way fight is always really frustrating for him and causes magical surge, not because of control magic but because of his emotion, even while he sleeps he still has a few magical surges when he nightmare, he still remembers the time when he went to bed and woke up on the roof of the tower of Ozpin, he probably teleported there during a magical surge while he slept
there a small silence as Coco is a bit nervous,Maos also realize this and try to change the subject
"when i think about it, it's the first I'm going to the city of vale, i got here from an airship from Mistral and landed directly in Beacon"
Coco bow forward a bit while remaining in her seat,a bit surprised "really? so you're going to discover the city today ?...i guess I'll give you a small tour then"
"you don't need to,we just to buy a few clothes for the cold environment and then go back to Beacon,i have a book to give back to the library"responded Maos
"That wasn't a suggestion, plus you could get a few new semblances by touching a few people in the street, plus come on, we have all day, it'll be fun and make you got out of your books,"said Coco
Maos raise an eyebrow for a second, "did you just pull the go-touch some grass thing on me ?"
[right...I told them that I can learn semblance by touching people...I guess i need to play long now]
Coco just smile at Coco "am I wrong ? when you have free you just read books..I never saw you play a game on your scroll, like do you even have any hobby other than books ?"
"engineering," said Maos as he look away a bit
Coco lowered her sunglass as she look at Maos with doubt
"it's true, since a few days I've been looking at a few books about engineering, weapon making, vehicle, engine and things like that,I think I will try to make a few things...once I have the money to buy the material"
Coco thinks for a second...she did see him reading a book about engines and generals' mechanics, she then has an idea
"oh...i see...didn't expect that... a good thing you widened your vision of things a bit...on the mechanic need any help? i know a thing or two...I mean you saw my weapon,i can even help you build a few things"
Maos smile a bit" sure,i could use some help...i need a bit of Money first...so i need a job,Beacon can only provide me with materials in for assignment links to classes,i have to buy the material myself for my training in mechanics,I now have the night full of free so maybe I can find a job at night"
"at night you sure ?...your funeral,at least it can't really get worst than your special classesl...anyway...you can look in vale !we have all day, plus the bullhead to get from beacon to vale and vale to beacon are free for students"
Maos think a bit "i guess your right..i wonder I can find something on the way"
Coco does a little push on Maos's shoulder" see, that's the spirit !"
later,they finally arrive in vales,
Coco stretches her arm as she go out of the airship"vale...coco Adel is back",she turns to Maos,"so what do we do first ?"
"i guess we could-" Maos was cut off by Coco
"shopping? yeah,i think we should start by that too, follow me"said Coco as she start walking with her usual confidence
Maos didn't even try to fight, [why did she even ask me again?]
and so he follows her, through the fantastic city of vale, he is really impressed by how the city look especially compared to Mistral
they both walk around the street of the city, and finally end up in a large public square
"see this road over there, i call it paradise on earth,"said coco as she show a road full of stores, clothing, make-up, hairdresser, everything to make someone who loves fashion happy
they then spend the next 2 hours going to every shop to try several outfits, well Coco,they did take a few clothes for Maos
they both tried suits,Maos noticed something about Coco and all the clothes and outfits she had been trying
"I just realise...we've been from store to store, we tried almost everything, from summer outfits to business suits...not even once you tried an actual dress"
Coco is wearing a brown sleeveless jacket too big for her so it would cover a bit of her thighs while the jacket is still fully open,it would show a tiny bit of cleavage and her arms,a green shirt which is actually some kind of slip and shows most of her legs, she put on a neckless with a green gem as a talisman, she also an argent bracelet on her left wrist and 2 of those on the right wrist, she also wears brown boots.
she is doing several poses in front of the mirror, she turns her head to Maos
"by the way,the black suit with a long coat does suits you well",Maos is currently wearing something Coco pick for him,he didn't really mind,he did look good
Coco strikes a pose again "how do I look? good i guess?"
it's not the first time Coco asks this in the last 2 hours,he could just say that she's beautiful and that she look good, but Coco made it clear she wanted an actual opinion and not just a nice compliment
Maos is seating on a chair in front of Coco,the changing is just composed of the small cabin,so Coco can just change and show it to Maos,just like,he can do it too
the young analyze Coco from head to toe, she's incredibly pretty that something anyone can see and her ability to wear clothes that suits her perfectly make it almost scary how attractive she could be if she was really aiming at that
Maos try to stay logical and judge her outfit despite really liking what he sees
"hmm...I think the jack is a bit too long, the green shirt is just fine,, the bracelets too...also I think you should add a bit more clothes, i think you're showing a bit too much skin,but I am used to seeing you almost fully covered in fighting gear so maybe it's just me"
Coco turns to the mirror, to check what Maos just said "hmm...you right...maybe I'm showing too much skin...I mean even if this outfit is not for combat...i do like the bracelets..."
"you didn't answer the question,"said Maos , Coco looked at him and lower her glasses a bit with one finger "which is ?"
"Why did you never try any dress despite the fact we've been in the street and shopped for 2 hours now"
"oh, I really don't like dresses or robes or things like that...it's just really not my style"

and so kept shopping,Maos didn't mind,Coco seem to really enjoy it
after the shopping was done,Coco now 6 bags full of clothes, 3 in each hand, Maos merely had 2 bags, one in each hand
"so now that's it done, what do we do ?" asks Maos, he looks around and see a library name Tukson's Book Trade
Coco see the star in Maos's eyes,he looks at her like a child wanting a candy

the moment Coco uttered the word "ok",Maos is already gone in the bookstore
inside the bookstore,they both are greeted by a Faunus
"Welcome to Tukson's bookstore home to every book under the sun"said the man,he wore a short-sleeved quarter-zip burgundy and black shirt with a visible white undershirt. His hair was cleanly cut, and he had noticeable sideburns, along with hairy, muscular arms.
"hi"said Maos and coco,the 2 students start looking around
"any comic book ?"asks coco,the named Tukson pointing toward a corner of the room
"Sure,on the corner over there,"said the man,Coco go straight to the comics section
Maos is really surprised by the number of books especially given this seems to be a small shop, he even found one or 2 books that weren't in the library of beacon, but he is here for a few book in particular that he was disappointed to weirdly not found in Beacon
he goes near the counter "do you have any books about the fairy tales? like a big book that has a lot of them ?"
the seller hesitates a bit "hmm...I think they are in the leftover there"
Maos first thanks the man and then went to the bookshelves
he see a very big book called "the fairy tales of remnants",he looks at the back page to see the list of tales on it

Maos turn to her and look at the book she's showing like a treasure "the silver's eyes warrior"
"i knew I heard an old tale about silver's eyes warrior,i search for it in the library at some point, since you having silver's eyes got my attention"
"and so ? anything special about it ?" asks Maos, he didn't like silver's eyes mostly because those were forced on him,but he know the power they could give him would probably very useful someday
Coco faulty read the book,she seems to already know the tale a bit
"according to legends, silver's eyes people are a very strong lineage,but also very rare, those people are apparently destined to be powerful warrior ...that suits you pretty well doesn't it"

Coco raises an eyebrow as Maos turn to another bookshelf with fairy tale,that book seems to mostly be about very old fairy tales that people don't often know about,he took a few of them and they caught his eyes pretty quickly

Tukson came back with the book,he had a lot of short books, less than 100 pages each,Maos just grabbed the pile and look at each book
"those books are pretty old, they are like fairy tales that aren't very known compared to the other fairy tales like the four maiden,"said the man

after that Coco and Maos walk around,it was mostly Coco showing Vale to Maos
"so about this job you searching for ?" asks coco
"yeah, I need something that allows me to work at night"answered Maos
Maos start looking around,he suddenly sees a poster /junior's,now hiring,/
"let's go there, maybe i can get a job"said Maos
and saw they both didi, they arrive in front of the nightclub,it's not currently open as a nightclub but seems open to receive people wanting a job
"it's a nightclub...i doubt it's the kind of place you should be working in"said Coco ,Maos look at her while raising an eyebrow " so ? it's open at night and it is relatively close to the bullhead station of Beacon and also a potential job, i won't miss the chance"
Coco pulls down her glass a bit and stares at Maos,he's not giving
"do you anything about nightclubs?" asks Coco
"no, I guess it's a like place where people party and drink a lot of alcohol, those place were pretty frequent where i came from"said Moas
"Really ?" react Coco,Maos just make a quick up and down with his head,Coco just sigh "do what you want...you have any experience in this ?if not he probably won't accept"

"you're going to use your semblance ?"asks Coco,Maos just smile abit at Coco "not the way you think,i won't use my semblance to manipulate him...but i will use it to convince him that no one is best suits than me to this job"

Junior is a busy man,he's a nightclub and illegal activities are to handle, now he lost in the last barman in a fight between gangs,his nightclub's reputation is slowly falling,he himself had to resort to the shame of putting up posters to advertise for a job in his nightclub
Maos see junior and prepare himself using magic, fundamentally buffing himself

suddenly he turn his head to the entrance to see a young boy arrive, probably 18-19 years old
"the fuck ? who let this kid in ?" react Juniors,Maos join Junior in front of the bar,Junios is seating in one of the chair in front of the counter
"we're close,no drink till 9pm"said, junior
"There's a misunderstanding,i'm not here to drink, I'm here to for the job...you know the poster in the city..."

junior sighed "listen, this is a nightclub, not a school or an orphanage, do you anything about this place ?"
"no,I just arrive from beacon"

another man suddenly reacts "jerry died? really ? no...i liked this guy, he was funny.."

Moas crosses his arms "you do realize you could have a huntsman in training, someone really hard to kill proposing to be a barman in a club that can get attacked at any moment,i don't care about the illegal gang you're running,i can just look away,plus i think i have a semblance that really benefit your nightclub"

Maos just made a small movement with his head and goes behind the counter of the bar,junior watch him with confusion,Maos goes to a one of the bullet holes
[mending],he use a simple level 0 spell,then he went to another hole and fix it
"what the-"react Junios,the Maos goes to a small bloodstain
[Prestidigitation],the blood just disappeared,Junior's jaw dropped
"and the cherry on top"said Maos with confidence of Coco,he grab a glass,fill it with water, and put it on front of Junior

Juniors is now alone at the bar,he look at the now fix and cleaned bar and the water that turn into beer and wine
"who the guy who had the idea of posters all around the city ?"asks Junior
a man raise his hand,he's on a higher level of the main of the club, like an inside balcony

"yeah!"react the guy
outside,Coco suddenly see Maos coming out
"so ?" asks Coco
Maos just smile at her,"yeah,i got the job,the guy seems nice"
"how did you convince him, you're not the ..kind of guy to be highly confident,"said Coco,Maos look at her and a standing position similar to her "i just learn from the best"
Coco grin at Maos and adjust her sunglass "you god damn right you did"
a week later,Maos is now in Atlas,Ozpin had to go for an important meeting,but he brought Maos along,to allow Maos to discover a bit more of the world and mostly to make Maos and Ironwood shortly meet winter Schnee,it was very brief, he barely learns her name, and then she left for training and he never saw her again
Maos was already shocked that the city could fly giving that a spell to do that existed in the past,but it's 12th level spell, meaning this was done with the help of a relics
General ironwood seemed like a good man,Maos don't really like the military aspect of Atlas and Iron, but he could respect the man who seem to have a strong will and really set objectives in life.
Maos quickly met Pietro Polendina, purely by accident, but it seems that Pietro is interested by Maos's aura and the huge amount of it. several scientists put Maos through several tests when he arrives at Atlas
Maos quickly guess that Ozpin just brought him along to have a more precise vision of Maos's progression
at some Maos's was about to ask Pietro about grim tears and different things about alchemy to see what this current humanity know about it,but Ozpin stepped in and stop him, seem like he really doesn't want people to know about rituals and things like that, a way for people without magic to use it
even if Maos is pretty sure that Glynda uses ritual when she fights, especially the glyph she seems to make when using dust,plus her semblance seems abnormally strong,he realizes that he only saw her do those glyphs, and he deduces knowing Ozpin, that the old wizard decides to only teach ritual, ones that are made to fight as they can be quickly achieved to people from his inside circle, and even more, Glynda's semblance probably has been boost by magic,Maos don't know how she could achieve such level of telekinesis without being boosted
Maos spend 3 days in Atlas,it was enough for him to get limited knowledge about it, mostly how it's government and law work and the disparity between rich people and poor people mostly Faunus,he didn't have the right to directly access the labs but he had one or two peek in it thanks to Pietro
and the most important thing that Maos saw,he got a peek at the vault of the staff of Creation,Ozpin and Ironwood were next to him
Ozpin suddenly "revealed",the existence of the relic to Maos in front of Ironwood,the general wasn't surprised,this whole seen is just a plan of Ozpin to make it so even people from his inner circle don't know that Maos is a sorcerer,a scene to convince Ironwood that Maos is just clueless prodigy,Ozpin was even careful to not mentioned Salem
suddenly time stops, Ozpin and Ironwood weren't moving
Maos look around,he hear a footstep next to him,he dash on his left to avoid the figure walking next to him
"so you found one of the relics,"said the god of Darkness,he laughed a bit "too bad you can't open the vault and get it"
"tch...god of darkness...such a pleasure...you shouldn't have come...really..."said Maos a bit angry
"calm down, it's just a friendly visit,"said darkness as he walk around Maos "I see you kept this neckless...of course, you still have the silvers eyes, you didn't even use it yet"
the god of dark suddenly grab Maos by the shoulder and seem to almost smell him
"hmm...you are getting stronger...really fast...Ozma is a good teacher...perhaps you are getting way too strong too fast..."
MAos couldn't move as the hand of the god of darkness reached toward his chest,the finger of the god suddenly pierce Maos skin "maybe taking one or two mana chambers will solve this inconvenience"
"DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT IT"screams Maos
the sword of Osiris suddenly appear in his hand and Maos could he immediately slash the god of darkness, cutting the arm of the god
the god back down in pain as the cut arm suddenly regenerates "the sword of Osiris ?! you manage to remake it ?!" ,the god is enraged
"yeah ! so what about it ?"said Maos with a grin,he could feel the power of the sword inside his own body
in one instance,the god calms down and stares at the young sorcerer"this sword may protect you from me in my current for now,but when my brother and I come back to this world,you sentence will be never-ending"
on that,the god disappeared and everything went back to normal,Maos wound had even disappeared
"are you listening to me ?" asks Ozpin
"huh ?"Maos seem confused as he went back to his original place and position,he turn to Ozpin and Ironwood "sorry...i just got lost in thought for a second"
Ozpin just readjust his glass as Ironwood just move his head a bit "i know all the information can be quite disturbing,the relics, the maidens,it can be overwhelming"
soon after,they left the vault and visit a few lab for Maos to do a few more test and the next day,Ozpin and Maos left for Vale
the rest of the year passed,Maos end up reaching 4th level wild magic and 5th level spell casting, it took him the whole year to reach it...meaning the next stage may take even more time to reach, his physic is now way better than before, his training with Ozpin has stopped as the teacher had nothing more to really teach to Maos, the young sorcerer mostly has to learn more spell and learn to control better his magic,it's mostly a matter of practice now.
he even trains his druidic power a bit,he has unlocked interesting new power,he can now freely turn into an animal,but turning into some kind of Crow is the easiest form for him,it's not surprising, most people in his family were just better at wild shaping into bird, his mother Noctua use to turn into an owl and his grant her father Aquila use to turn into a eagle,Maos actually theories that since his mother was able to see the future,she name him Corvidae on purpose because she knows he would love to turn into a black bird one day
Maos was sent on several missions, sometimes alone and occasionally with Team CFVY or even some other team, he is pretty much caught up on the cultural aspect of the world of remnant and got really used to this world.
Qrow even took Maos out to a few missions, apparently, the scythe user seem to really appreciate the sorcerer and has big hope for him.
he also manages to deal with his trauma,he asks for Ozpin to allow him to go to mistral from time to time,he goes to the giant cave in which the school of magic of Osiris remains,Moas made a monument in it,he takes care of the statue,he also made some kind of grave for Osiris,a statue shape in stone infuse with magic,he even hides the entrance using magic to make sure nobody destroy the place or try to rob thing in it.
It may not be much,but going there and meditating there allow him to get better, the nightmare he had at night stopped since.
also,Maos met a woman name amber, who's the current fall maiden, they trained together a bit, apparently,Amber just received her maiden power around the same time he join Beacon which was still 1 year ago,but the training of a maiden seems to be way slower than Maos as they need to learn all the basis of magic. Amber got along pretty well,it was fun for him to train with someone able of magic who is close to his age.
the closet in Maos's room did got full of clothes during the year, mostly thanks to Coco.
Overall,Maos's life became stable,he quit working for juniors after 3 months,now, he just sells alcohol to Juniors for a lower price than the market price,so he go there on Sunday and just transforms several barrels of water into the alcohol Juniors choose to quit when he had a few exams starting to make sure he had time to learn his lessons,but he kept content with Juniors to keep an income every month.
with the money he had,MAos start learning mechanics, with the help of Coco,they both build a few things, they even start a big project which is to build a full motorbike,it still not finished yet,but it's Coco and Maos's price Hobby after shopping and reading.
Maos and Team CFvy well known in Beacon academy and even by some other people who interested in becoming top students,Maos seem to stand on top of the school from a power and influence point of view, people were listening to him and respect him,he indirectly becomes the student representative,but without the actual title. he became aware of this status after Coco and even some teachers pointed it out to him
the student of Beacon and even from outside the school had heard a bit of him, he's now known as the champion of Beacon, for being according to many teachers and students,the strongest huntsman in training in generations,he didn't really like the fame he has now,he put him in danger,but he couldn't do anything about it
today,Maos is in front of Ozpin,in his Office,there is only both of them here (we are the day before team RWBY join beacon)
their relationship seems to have become a bit colder, almost like Maos is starting to disapprove of Ozpin more and more, this mostly starts happening after a few missions
most teachers think that Maos is just going through a rebellious phase toward Ozpin as they think MAos see Ozpin as father figure despite this idea being far from the truth
"wait...so i have to handle the first year ?...please explain," asks Maos
"it's simple really,you see, last year you propose an idea of a student representative since Tomorrow the next first year will arrive,you will be the one to welcome them to Beacon,by that I mean you will be on board of the airship bringing them and help the staff keep track of them and guide in the school,you also will be on overwatch during the exam,you won't have to do any speeches or things like that"
".i can probably do that..."Maos look at the desk of Ozpin,he sees a file of a student "any student i should be careful about ?"
Ozpin grab the file and give to Maos" this is ruby rose,she's one of Qrow's niece"
"Qrow told me about her..."Maos read the file" she seems...young...too young for Beacon in fact"
"her sister Yang Xiao Long and her will both join Beacon this year"said Ozpin
Maos just put the file down as he saw ruby's silver on her picture on file
"15 , silver eyes, don't think it's a bit too obvious? like really ?,i know you are always actively trying to manipulate me,but since it failed you just go to a younger silver's eyes warrior"
Opin stare at Maos," it's not like that, she has talent, her skill could be greatly refined in beacon"
"if this was really about refining her skill,you would just let her finish her combat school properly,you just want her young enough so that the ideal of Beacon have a bigger impact on her as she still growing up,i read every psychology book in the library remember ?"
"I did NOT manipulate you" said Ozpin as he sip a cup of hot Chocolate
"Like when you sent only Me on a crazy hard mission hopping I would awaken my silvers eyes to protect the people? or even just throwing me at hundred of Grimm after the whole population of the place was killed and barely a handful of survivors remain" asks Maos as he gets angry
Ozpin gets up "I promise, I did not know those missions would be so dangerous"
Maos just glare at Ozpin, he throws the file of ruby on the desk and turns back toward the elevation"1 mission is just bad luck,2 mission, really bad luck, from the third I start having some suspicions, after the fourth, and fifth mission i was sure,so don't waste your breath on those weak lies"
Maos push a button on the elevator panel on the side" i will do the welcoming thing"
Ozpin takes a sip of his cup "i will warn professor goodwitch"
Maos leave the office
Ozpin had manipulated him again and just succeeds in made Maos angry because he fell in the trap again,Ozpin know that Maos will try to protect ruby from the old wizard, which that he will protect her in general, meaning she will be a card that he can keep on the side since she's now safe under's Maos's protection,plus Ozpin hopes the contact of 2 silver warriors increase the chance of awakening the eyes which according to his experience in the past probably will work.
plus ruby being young means even if Maos tries to warn about Ozpin,the headmaster will still have the upper hand because Ruby met the headmaster first and not Maos,plus she's had a great respect toward the huntsmen like her mother did,Maos will graduate in 3 year, and Ozpin will still have a full year to make understand miss rose how the world works with his own explanation.
why train ruby to be a good huntress? simple Ozpin can not effort to lose Maos,so he needs to have a silver eyes warrior that he can use,Ozpin felt like a monster have planing out something that evil, however, given how long it's had been since he saw an actual glimpse of Hope to beat Salem and end his curse.

if he needs to manipulate children again and again for the sake of the world and his own, he will.
the next day,Maos is an airship station,he wears his Beacon outfit, there is a crowd of people in front of him, potential future students of Beacon,he use the spell[disguised] on himself so people wouldn't recognize him,he didn't attention mostly because it could cause a bit of chaos
the staff is slowly calling each candidate one by one,to make them enter the airship
Maos is actually in the ships waiting for people to come in,he mostly counts the number of students in the ships to be sure
he saw ruby rose and her sister go inside another airship,he only saw a girl with pink air who's almost literally jumping all around the airship,and a much more calm person next to her,a boy , who is meditating peacefully
[i wonder what kind of student will emerge this year]thought Maos
he smile a bit, but he felt a strange pressure when he thought about the future for this year, like an instinctive feeling telling him that something bad is going to happen.
author's note:so, it's finally happening, we're finally at the beginning of the show,next chapter,i will make a quick recap of MAos 's abilities in the beginning and then go on with the story, also i know my writing is far from perfect, I'm still trying to find something that suits me, it's normal the way the chapters are written can change,it's mostly just me trying a few things here and there,and hoping the changes are for the best of the story (also thanks to the people who sent me private message with writing advice,i'll try my best i promise)
