Chapter Six

It has been a full week since Danielle and Luz arrived on the isles. Since then, things has mostly settled within Danielle's mind with Danny and everyone else. Granted only Papa Titan and Bump were the only ones so far to have left.

"Ow," said Danny, rubbing her head. "I did not like that."

"Looks like everyone is coming to," said Luz, seeing certain people regain consciousness. "Well, almost everyone."

"Batata," said Amity, pulling Luz into a spinning hug.

"Hey, Amity," said Luz, placing a kiss on her cheek. "How is everything?"

"Well…" said Amity, only for Willow to place a hand on her shoulder.

"A lot has happened Luz," said Willow, looking at Luz.

"First off," said Eda, walking over. "That little time travel…"

"Yeah, I met Danielle," said Luz, remembering what happened. "In preventing myself from ever going, Danielle ended up being on the isles instead. And because of it, she did what I did and…"

"Whoa, wait, hold up," said a Woman, looking at Luz. "Time travel?"

"Oh, I like to introduce my mom," said Luz, looking at Eda. "Camila Noceda."

"A pleasure," said Camila, looking at Eda than her daughter. "Luz, what is this about time travel?"

"Well, there is this thing called a time pool," replied Luz, looking at her mom. "They allow for time travel and I… may have used it to go back into the past twice."

"Twice?" said Camila, looking at Luz. "Luz, I love you but messing with time… who knows what could have happened if you did something that could have caused…"

"If I didn't than Belos would have won," said Luz, looking at her mom. "The Demon Realm would have been destroyed and who knows what he would do back home. I had to."

"This is all getting confusing," said Camila, before looking at everyone. "So, what was going on with the rest of you?"

"I'd say us merging with our selves from that timeline to make it easier for when we go back to ourselves in this new timeline," said Lilith, looking at Camila than Danny. "Though I don't quite remember you."

"Same here," said Luz, looking at Danny.

"Yeah, I'm… Danielle's past life," said Danny, looking at Luz.

"Past life?" said Luz, looking at Danny. "As in…"

"Who Danielle was prior," said Danny, looking at Luz. "I guess think of it like the avatar line. Danielle is the current with me behind her and whoever I was before and so on."

"Oh, I think I get it," said Luz, before coming to a realization. "Aw man, I could have imitated some animes. I would have loved to do a dragon roar."

"Danielle has been inventive with the glyphs during her run," said Eda, looking at Luz. "Wonder how it will go with the both of you there this time?"

"You got two teenage girls under your roof," said Camila, looking at Eda. "What do you think?"

"… …" said Eda, as realization hit her. "Aw nuts."

"So, what do we do now?" asked Luz, looking at everyone. "Just sit here and wait till we can leave. The sooner we're back out there, the sooner we can stop Belos."

"What about releasing me?" asked Collector, looking at Luz while holding a Pikachu plush. "Won't you be releasing me?"

"Of course they will," said a Woman, walking forward. "Even if I have to threaten them."

"Lady Asteria!" said Collector, turning around and facing Asteria. "How-how are yo-you do-doing?"

"We'll talk later," said Asteria, looking at Collector as he whined.

"Wait, how are you here?" asked Luz, looking at Asteria.

"I saw what my daughter was about to do," replied Asteria, looking at Luz. "And took measures at that point. Quickly I might add."

"Do you know how much Danielle has missed you?" asked Eda, looking at Asteria. "There were times she had to cuddle King to calm herself down when she felt like she was not getting anywhere in finding you. What prevented you from going back to your family?"

"You don't know what was going through me when I had to leave after shoving you back to your realm," said Asteria, threateningly walking towards Eda. "Don't even think for a second that I never loved my husband and daughter. They mean the world to me."

"Then why didn't you return?" asked Eda, backed up against a wall.

"I will do everything to protect my husband and daughter," replied Asteria, glaring at Eda with glowing eyes. "Even from my own family."

"Oh right, you're a celestial from what Danielle told me," said Luz, looking at Asteria. "Does your parents…"

"Lady Asteria is basically a queen… empress in our realm," said Collector, playing with his sleeves. "She probably couldn't get away fast enough from those duties when she left the Demon Realm to travel back to your Earth."

"My Earth?" said Luz, confused.

"Oh, there are quite a few Earths out there," said Collector, looking at Luz.

"Let's get back on track," said Asteria, looking at everyone. "The moment you leave my daughter's mind, I'd start strategizing on taking down this Belos. He's already put my daughter through a lot of pain and I would rather not see my daughter go through it again."

"Speaking of Danielle, where is she?" asked King, looking around. "I don't see her. Didn't she come back as well?"

"She's here, just not here," replied Asteria, looking at everyone. "She's in her sector of the mind, where her memories reside."

"Then maybe you could…" said King, looking at Asteria.

"I don't think she's ready…." said Asteria, looking to the side. "More like I'm not ready. I know she's most likely angry with me for leaving."

"If we don't leave by a certain time, Danielle's celestial nature will be coming out," said Eda, looking at Asteria. "Who knows? It could start earlier this time around."

"It's very painful to watch when she…" said King, looking at Asteria.

"I know, I saw whenever I scried to check up on my husband and daughter," said Asteria, gripping her hands. "And it hurt every time whenever I couldn't be there to help. To be there when Danielle got her first bra. To help Danielle through her first menstrual cycle. To be there when Jacob had a meltdown. For everything."

"Well, will you be there when this is all over?" asked Luz, looking at Asteria.

"I don't know," said Asteria, staring up. "It seems like we can't leave till a certain point… like a veil is there. A veil that says when it's time."

"Meaning things could play out similarly like last time," said Raine, looking at everyone. "

"On another note," said Danny, before looking at Collector. "Ever heard of Bill Cipher or Mewni?"

"No," replied Collector, looking at Danny. "Why?"

"Yes!" said Danny, excited. "They don't exist here. Yes yes yes-yes-yes."

"Actually, I have," said Luz, seeing Danny groan. "They're tv shows on Disney."

"Oh, my goodness, what a relief," said Danny, sitting in the recliner. "I was afraid that trinity would be real."

"Trinity?" said Luz, confused.

"Supposedly, Gravity Falls, Amphibia and The Owl House had connections," said Danny, looking at Luz. "And then there was that entry that alluded to Star vs the Forces of Evil… yeah, I'm from a completely different Earth."

"Oh, wow," said Luz, shocked. "Wait, that means you have spoilers for shows that I could be watching. And upcoming games… what's after Paldea? Any new Splatoons?"

"Uh-oh, no way," said Danny, holding a pillow before turning on the tv. "Here, watch a playthrough of an old game."

"How old?" asked Luz, seeing the intro play. "Oooo, that old."

"Let us trust the young

"I love this game," said Danny, leaning back in the recliner.

"Now… Be what you always dreamed to be!

"Very old," said Luz, before a trailer came on. "Oh my, is that…"

"Shit shit shit!" thought Danny, trying to turn the tv off before Luz grabbed the remote.

"Aaw, yeah!" said Luz, watching the trailer. "A new Legends game… it's in Kalos. Pokémon Legends Z-A! Whoooo!"

"I'll leave you be. I have some talking to do with Aster," said Asteria, as Collector tried to tiptoe away. "Not so fast, young man."

"Wha- how'd you…" said Collector, as Asteria picked him up.

"Comes with being a mom," said Asteria, going into another room.

"Help me," said Collector, as the door closed. "No!"
