I don't own Disney's The Owl House. I do, however own the OC known as Danielle Hopkins. Hope you all enjoy my story on this lovely show.

Chapter Twenty-Five

Morning had arrived. Danielle was stirring awake. Feeling a weight on her, Danielle sees that Luz had crawled onto the couch and fallen asleep during the night. Stretching, Danielle lightly shakes Luz.

"Alright kittycat," said Danielle, seeing Luz slightly stir. "Wake up, you're heavy."

"… …you're heavier than me," said Luz, yawning before being tossed off. "Wha-aah!"

"Wanna say that again," said Danielle, with a mischievous grin as she stared at Luz lying on the floor.

"No," said Luz, getting up and sitting on the couch. "Buenos días."

"Yeah, good morning," said Danielle, stretching before seeing Collector. "Morning Collector. How are you doing?"

"Fine," replied Collector, looking at Danielle and Luz. "King and Hooty are cooking breakfast though I have no idea what pancakes are."

"I think you'll like them when you're out," said Danielle, looking at Collector. "Pancakes lean on the sweeter sides of breakfast."

"The one good thing about the mortal realms," said Collector, drooling. "Sweets back home taste so bland."

"Can you eat in that form?" asked Luz, looking at Collector.

"Nope," replied Collector, before looking at Danielle. "Do you know who you are? More specifically, what you are? 'Cause that blast of magic yesterday says something else."

"Half human half witch," said Danielle, looking at Collector. "What else would I be? 'Cause I have no idea right now."

"Well anyway, let's eat," said Luz, picking up the tablet and heading towards the kitchen.

"Oh, you're awake already," said King, seeing Danielle and Luz in the hallway. "Come on, breakfast is ready."

"I'd rather save Eda right now," said Danielle, walking into the kitchen.

"Not on an empty stomach," said Hooty, with breakfast in his mouth. "Mama Bird is ready to feed."

"Hooty, don't you dare!" said Danielle and Luz, as Hooty coiled around them. "Aaah!"

"Got'cha," said King, as the tablet dropped out of Luz's hands and landed on his belly. "Close call."

"Phew, close call indeed," said Collector, looking at King. "Blasted parasyte made Luz drop it. But now you can let me out. It only works from the front, not the back."

"Yeah, not happening right now for good reasons," said King, laying the tablet on the floor.

"What?" said Collector, staring at King. "Why not?"

"Weh!" said King, running away as Hooty chased him.

"Oh… that," said Collector, as King ran out of the kitchen with Hooty in hot pursuit.

"I think I'm turned off pancakes for a while," said Danielle, throwing up in the trash bin.

"Me too," said Luz, spitting the remainder out in the trash bin. "You're lucky right now Collector."

"As much as I hate this place I'm sealed in," said Collector, seeing King run back in and throwing up in the trash bin. "I guess it does have its advantages."

"Num," said Hooty, swallowing the rest in his mouth. "Tasty."

"I'll make breakfast," said Luz, grabbing some griffin eggs from the fridge.

"And I'll… check the weapon room," said Danielle, about to walk out of the kitchen.

"Ooo, what do you specialize in?" asked Collector, floating in front of Danielle. "Before I got sealed, I was learning how to wield a staff… and maybe a short sword."

"I know how to wield a shinai from my self defense classes," replied Danielle, looking at Collector. "And also, a bō staff."

"What kind of eggs you want Danielle?" asked Luz, cracking an egg.

"Buttered eggs," replied Danielle, before sighing. "You know what, scratch the weapons. After breakfast, we're leaving to save Eda."

"In total agreement there," said Luz, cracking some more eggs.

"Hey, Luz, Danielle," said King, staring at Danielle and Luz. "Do you… think capturing Eda was part of his big plan?"

"King," said Danielle, seeing how worried King is.

"I don't care what Belos is up to... because today, we're saving Eda!" said Luz, putting the eggs into the frying pan.

"I am so game," said Danielle, going over to a cabinet and grabbing some mugs.

"Why put a stop to our game?" asked Collector, looking at everyone. "Everyone looks happy playing it."

"Huh, what are you talking about?" asked Danielle, looking at Collector.

"We've been playing it since the Deadwardian Era," replied Collector, looking at Danielle. "And it will end on the Day of Unity. I'm so excited! I'll be able to play something different after all these years."

"Deadwardian era?!" said Luz, shocked as she stopped stirring the eggs.

"But that would make Belos hundreds of years old," said Danielle, sitting down on one of the chairs.

"There's no way he can be that old," said King, looking at Collector. "Sure, there are some people that can reach a hundred but hundreds of years… he's definitely using magic of some kind to extend it."

"And not the good kind of magic," said Danielle, looking at King then Collector. "Which means the only ones that know the game are you and him, everyone else is oblivious of what's going on. What is this Day of Unity?"

"I don't know the whole specifics," replied Collector, looking at everyone. "But he needed magic and a certain spell to play so I taught him. Though there have been a lot of times when it got really boring playing the game, and I mean a lot."

"Everything you said so far pertaining to Belos, it just… it sounds like… I don't know, everything is getting complicated I can't keep up," said Danielle, deeply sighing. "There's got to be more to this Day of Unity."

"Mass genocide!"

"Danielle, you okay?" asked King, looking at Danielle. "You look awfully green."

"Hooo," said Hooty, seeing tears in the corners of Danielle's eyes. "Danielle?"

"Everyone is in danger," said Danielle, trying to hold back her tears. "What did we just walk into?"

"What the voices in your head say?" asked Luz, looking at Danielle as she plated the eggs. "It clearly upset you."

"Danielle, sweetie! Calm down… and repeat what I say so Aster understands it better."

"Okay," said Danielle, deeply sighing as she listened to her mom's voice. "Titans?! War?!"

"Ooo, this can't be good," said Luz, placing breakfast in front of Danielle.

"I don't understand," said Collector, looking at everyone. "What voices in your head?"

"There's a bunch of voices in Danielle's head and some she recognizes as our own," replied King, looking at Collector.

"That is actually not good," said Collector, looking at King before looking at Danielle. "But what they say?"

"First off, it's nice to officially meet you Aster," said Danielle, rubbing her forehead.

"… …" said Collector, stunned by what was said. "Those voices know my name?! How?"

"First off, it's my mom's voice I'm hearing now," replied Danielle, looking at Aster. "And she wants me to explain it in a certain way so you can understand."

"Okay, I'm listening," said Aster, looking at Danielle.

"First off we'll start with what happened before you were sealed," said Danielle, looking at Aster. "There was a war between your race, specifically ones with the title of Archivists and the Titans."

"… … " thought Aster, thinking. "Please no."

"The Titans were the only beings out there that could harm your race and the Archivists eliminated them with aid from some witches known as the Titan Trappers that worshipped one of your own back then," said Danielle, looking at Aster. "Besides one unhatched Titan, all the others were killed off hence the Titan/Archivist War. The last standing Titan which is the Boiling Isles we are standing on, hid their egg."

"Killed?" said Collector, looking at Danielle. "They just disappeared is all. I don't know where my siblings and the others hid them. Only thing I really remember is them sleeping and feeling their blood coating my hands when I tried waking them up but they wouldn't. They wouldn't wake up, no matter how hard I tried. Why wouldn't they wake up?"

"Oh my," thought Luz, covering her mouth. "Does he not know…"

"Not even my magic was working on them," said Aster, looking at Danielle. "Yeah, I know my magic won't work on Titans but I was trying to fix them."

"Aster, not everything can be fixed especially if the person has passed on," said Danielle, looking at Aster.

"Passed on?" said Aster, looking at Danielle, confused.

"I'll explain it to Aster when you decide on the mind dive, sweetie."

"You'll learn when I decide I have the mind dive which just confuses me right now," said Danielle, looking at Aster. "But anyway, the Draining Spell you gave Belos and the sigils that almost everyone on the isles have consigns everyone to death. It's no different to what the Archivists did to the Titans. No one will be waking up."

"I'll just fix them," said Aster, looking at Danielle. "Just cause my magic doesn't work on Titans doesn't mean it won't for the witches and demons. I'll fix them and then we can play."

"Aster," said Danielle, trying to place her hands on Aster's shoulders. "Death is permanent. It's scary yes but it's a part of life. Everyone goes eventually. Don't know when, don't know how but it eventually happens. The Titans are gone… and so will everyone on the isles should this Day of Unity go forth."

"But I… thought…" said Aster, choking up. "I thought… he wanted… to play. He wanted… to play… a game… and I… just gave him… the-the spell."

"Aster," said Danielle, as Luz, King and Hooty tried to hug Aster.

"I just wanted to play with the baby Titans cause they were so cute but my siblings and the others…" said Aster, as tears started flowing. "And now Belos… wants to… it was all just a lie, wasn't it?"

"Don't worry Aster," said King, looking at Aster. "I will let you out, I promise. But first, let's build up some trust first before that happens. Is that okay?"

"Yeah… I guess," replied Aster, looking at King then everyone else. "Please, don't let me go back there, please. He'll just put me in a drawer or just cover the tablet up."

"Don't worry, we won't," said Luz, trying to give Aster a head pat. "Why don't you stay with King and Hooty while me and Danielle go save Eda."

"Okay," said Aster, before holding out his pinky finger. "Promise?"

"Promise," said Luz, pinky swearing alongside Danielle.

"Same here," said Danielle, looking at Aster.

"I'm going too," said King, looking at Danielle and Luz.

"King..." said Luz, concerned.

"I'm drawing the line right there," said Danielle, looking at King. "You're staying here King."

"Look, me and Eda don't always see eye-to-eye, but I do consider her family," said King, looking at Danielle ad Luz. "I want her back as much as you do."

"Look, we lost Eda to Belos," said Danielle, looking at King. "We can't let that happen to you too."

"I'm not leaving my mom in that creep's hands!" said King, before covering his mouth. "Did-did I… just call Eda… mom?"

"You did," said Danielle and Luz, looking at King.

"I don't know why I just called Eda that but…" said King, taking a deep breath. "It feels right."

"If we agree to let you go, will you promise to listen to every word we say? Every word, even meaning if we tell you to run, you run," said Danielle, looking at King.

"I promise," said King, looking at Danielle.

"If you're not taking weapons, what will you fight with?" asked Aster, looking at Danielle and Luz. "I know Danielle has magic but it's… how should I say…"

"Wonky," said King and Luz, looking at Danielle.

"Hey," said Danielle, before crossing her arms over her chest. "I'm working on it."

"We both have glyphs," said Luz, pulling out her glyphs alongside Danielle.

"Holy Morning Star!" said Collector, staring at the glyphs. "The Titan really likes you two."

"We've been trying to be as creative as we can with the glyphs," said Danielle, before looking at Luz. "Looks like we'll have to be even more creative if we want to stop this Day of Unity."

"We'll pull out all the stuff," said Luz, grabbing her new witch's cloak and putting it on.

"Hooty, watch after Aster, protect him and keep him safe, okay," said Danielle, putting her sorcerer's cloak on. "Also, Aster, see if you can get Hooty to talk on where they hid the chess board."

"Don't!" said Luz and King, staring at Aster.

"Okay," said Aster, looking at Danielle.

"Nooo!" said Luz and King, whining.

"Don't worry, we'll be back," said Danielle, seeing King climb into Luz's hood.

"And with Eda," said Luz, as they left the Owl House.

"Please, come back," thought Aster, staring at the door then Hooty. "Okay, chess… wha-aah!"

Running as fast as they could towards Bonesborough, Danielle and Luz see a lot of people murmuring as they watch the news. Ones that truly remembered up to this point were glaring at the news and were prepared to help the girls.

"Please tell me that's not as bad as it sounds," said Luz, looking at the news.

"Petrification is only done to the worst criminals, and once the spell is complete, it can't be reversed," said King, looking at Luz.

"Lilith. She cursed Eda. She captured her own sister! She is the worst! If I…" said Luz, only to see Danielle breathing heavy and getting frantic. "Whoa, Danielle, calm…. aah!"

"Okay, Danielle's magic is getting stronger," said King, as the crystal balls were shattered in an instant by Danielle's magic.

"Danielle, this isn't gonna help," said Luz, grabbing hold of Danielle's shoulders.

"I know… I know…" said Danielle, trying to control herself. "I'm not paying for those."

"How are we going to get to the Conformatorium in time?" asked Luz, pulling Danielle away from the stores.

"We'll have to do something so diabolical, so criminally insane, that they'll have to send us to the Conformatorium," replied King, before spotting a sign. "Hey, Luz, Danielle, I have an idea."

"What are you two…" said Danielle, as Luz pulled her towards a patch of grass.

"Hey, Coven Guard," shouted Luz and King, gaining a Coven Guard's attention. "Whaaa?"

"Hey!" said Danielle, as she was grabbed and tossed into a paddy wagon alongside Luz and King. "I'm questioning…"

"This will get us to the Conformatorium quicker," said King, in a low voice as to not be heard by the Coven Guards.

"And a chance for you to calm down," said Luz, looking at Danielle.

"Fine," said Danielle, sitting down before grimacing in pain and clutching her chest. "Raz Dwa Trzy… Raz Dwa Trzy…"

"That's right," said Luz, counting on her fingers. "Uno, dos, tres… uno, dos, tres."

The whole ride to the Conformatorium was basically calming Danielle down. Going over the glyphs, Danielle and Luz settled on a few to take down any scouts and guards. Danielle hands were shaking as she and Luz saw witches and demons that were petrified when they got closer to their destination, Luz hold Danielle's hand to calm her down. As the paddy wagon pulled into the Conformatorium, Danielle and Luz had their glyphs at the ready. As the doors were open, Danielle and Luz sprung into action, setting off an Ice Glyph and Plant Glyph towards Warden Wrath who… had his arms spread?

"Oomph," said Warden Wrath, as he was bound by vines and ice.

"I wouldn't even…" said Danielle, her eyes glowing.

"Here," said Warden Wrath, holding out a map. "A map straight to Eda. Go… before it's too late."

"Huh…" said Luz, grabbing the map. "Why are you helping us?"

"Don't question. Just go," said Warden Wrath, looking at Danielle and Luz. "And if you see any scouts and guards admitting defeat, just tangle them up. We're on your side here."

"Weh?" said King, just as confused as the girls.

Running down the halls, Danielle and Luz were able to see which ones were on their side. Scouts and guards that had their arms spread in defeat were ones that were on their side while ones that attacked were definitely not. Either way, each one was dealt with. Whether by vines, frozen and the works. Coming upon a set of doors that indicated that Eda was kept at on the map, Danielle and Luz stare at the doors.

"King, watch the door," said Luz, setting King down.

"And have the glyphs at the ready," said Danielle, pushing the doors open alongside Luz.

"Weh!" said King, taking a guarding pose.

"We are definitely out of our comfort zones here," said Danielle, as she and Luz entered the room.

"Eda? Eda!" said Luz, spotting Eda and running over with Danielle. "Eda, wait! It's us! It's us."

"Eda," said Danielle, stroking a feather as Eda came to.

"Danielle? Luz? Oh no," said Eda, staring at the girls. "Oh no, no, no, no, no, wh-what are you two doing here?"

"It's okay Eda," said Luz, grabbing a fire glyph. "We're here to save you."

"What? The constant back and forth between fire and ice should be putting some wear on the metal… so why?" said Danielle, as she and Luz interchanged between the Fire Glyph and Ice Glyph on the chain.

"Your magic isn't strong enough for this," said Eda, placing a claw towards Danielle and Luz. "You need to leave! Now."

"Maybe not Glyph magic," said Danielle, grabbing the chain. "But maybe my own…"

"Danielle, stop!" said Eda, staring at Danielle.

"But, but I can't!" said Danielle, staring at Eda.

"It's our fault you needed to save us. It's our fault you got captured," said Luz, stilling trying to use the glyphs.

"No. Listen to me. I'm here because of my own actions. I went against Belos's law, and for a while I was able to get away with it. But," said Eda, sighing. "Well without magic, I can't do much. I don't regret anything. I lived freely and... I got to meet you two."

"Eda…" said Danielle and Luz, as tears were beginning to form.

"But if you stay here, I won't be able to protect you two," said Eda, placing her claw against Danielle's and Luz's face. "You need to leave. Now!"

"But who will protect you and the isles?" shouted Danielle, tears flowing down her cheeks.

"Wha…" said Eda, staring at Danielle.

"The Day of Unity is a mass genocide Eda," said Luz, staring at Eda. "If we leave, we'll be just consigning you guys to your death! We can't leave!"

"Whe-Where did you hear this?" asked Eda, staring at the girls. "Did-did the voices in Danielle's head…"

"Yes," said Danielle, leaning her head against Eda. "I'm tired of always being protected by my dad and the one time I'm trying to protect right now, you're telling us to leave. Your realm has already helped us in various ways already. You helped me find the weirdo inside me even if I have a hard time seeing it."

"Danielle…" said Eda, looking at Danielle.

"We're a family! Us weirdos have to stick together, remember?" said Luz, holding Eda's claw.

"Please… don't give up," said Danielle, holding Eda's claw as well. "It just won't be the same without you."

"You have a family already. Go back to them. And when you're home, use your fire magic to destroy the portal door," said Eda, touched by the girl's words before placing the portal key around Luz's neck. "I don't know why Belos wants it, but we can't take any chances."

"No no no-no-no," said Danielle, holding onto Eda. "Don't give up. Please!"

"I love you, Eda," said Luz, hugging Eda.

"I love you too, kiddos," said Eda, pushing the girls away as the siren went off. "Danielle, Luz, get away!"

"No!" said Luz, grabbing Eda's claw. "Not yet!"

"Please, don't!" said Danielle, as her hair shifted to silvery white and her eyes glowing. "Eda! Please, don't!"

"I'm sorry," said Eda, pushing Danielle and Luz off. "Goodbye, Danielle. Goodbye, Luz."

"Drat!" said Lilith, entering the room as she holds King by his scruff, Danielle going stiff as she hears her voice.

"Let me go!" shouted King, before seeing Danielle stare at Lilith with glowing eyes. "Not good."

"I'm too late, at least I found you…" said Lilith, staring at Danielle and Luz only to back up slightly as Danielle stares at her.

"You. You hurt Eda. You put her in chains. And now…" said Luz, holding some glyphs only to back away as Danielle held her hand out with a sphere of magic in her hands.

"Tell me, how do you want to die today?" asked Danielle, tilting her head to the side.

"Danielle!" said Luz, as Danielle blasted Lilith through the Portal Door. "A little too far Danielle."

"Not far enough," said Danielle, walking towards the Portal Door.

"King, are you alright?" asked Luz, checking on King.

"I'm fine," replied King, before staring at Danielle. "But Danielle's not."

"Danielle, wait!" shouted Luz, stopping Danielle from blasting Lilith again.

"She needs to…" said Danielle, staring at Luz.

"I'm just as upset as you. She deserves everything that's coming," said Luz, staring at Danielle. "But this won't help Eda. I don't want to see you become a murderer!"

"Luz…" said Danielle, calming down slightly as she stared at Luz.

"You're right," said Lilith, staring at Danielle and Luz. "I deserve to be in Edalyn's place."

"Why did you do all this?" asked Luz, staring at Lilith.

"I feel like I've already told you this but…" replied Lilith, before conjuring Owlbert and the staff forward. "We need to go save Edalyn. I believe this is a small step in trusting me."

"Owlbert," said Danielle and Luz, cuddling Owlbert close as he gave a warble. "You're okay."

"Thank you for trusting me," said Lilith, standing up and walking towards the Portal Door. "Now, lets head back."

"Dad…" said Danielle, looking in the direction of her house as well as Luz.

"Hey Luz, Danielle, you two... need a minute?" asked King, staring at Danielle and Luz.

"No. I'm coming," replied Luz, before walking through the Portal Door.

"I'll be fine," replied Danielle, as she walked through the Portal Door before clutching her chest.

"Danielle…" said Luz, steadying Danielle.

"I'll be fine," said Danielle, pushing off Luz and walking after Lilith. "I'll persevere."

Luz and King stare at each other, concerned for Danielle, before catching up to her and Lilith. Many passages are taken before entering a hall. Meaty tendrils lined around statues and the floors. Lilith guides the girls to a platform at the end of the hall.

"You can take this up to the stage where they're holding Edalyn," said Lilith, gesturing to a platform.

"Thank you, Lilith," said Luz, as Danielle stared around the hall. "What will you do now?"

"It's quiet," thought Danielle, staring around. "Too quiet."

"I will stay in the Emperor's coven, but I will make sure nothing like this ever happen again," replied Lilith, looking at Danielle and Luz.

"That's good to hear," said Luz, before looking around. "Wait, why are there no guards around?"

"I've been wondering that too," said Danielle, before a meaty tendril grabs Lilith and King. "King!"

"Lilith!" shouted Luz, trying to reach for them. "King!"

"Ah, Lilith," said Emperor Belos, sitting on a skull-like throne nearby. "You chose the wrong side."

"No!" said Luz, as meaty tendrils hold her and Danielle down.

"You…" said Danielle, angrily glaring at Emperor Belos with glowing eyes. "Release them!"

"Ah puh-puh," said Emperor Belos, staring at Danielle and Luz. "I'd actually like to have a word with you, human… and half witch."

"I have no words to say to you," said Danielle, pulling out a few glyphs.

"Let my friends go, or else!" said Luz, blasting the meaty tendrils away from them with Eda's staff.

"Okay," said Emperor Belos, staring at Danielle and Luz. "I'll play."

Belos sends the girls flying into different statues. Dodging attacks left and right from Belos, Luz grabs Danielle's hand before flying around in the hall. Grabbing a Light Glyph and Fire Glyph, Danielle and Luz send a fire cracking explosion towards Belos which he just dodges. During the whole exchange, Danielle's hair was changing to silvery white and her eyes halfway to being a light purplish pink. Landing, Danielle and Luz look around for any signs of Belos. Sensing an energy signature nearby, Danielle sends a blast of magic in the direction she sensed only for Belos to phase out immediately.

"What's wrong, human and half witch? I thought you wanted to fight," said Emperor Belos, making his voice vibrate throughout the hall before thinking. "The half witch is craftier than I thought. She'll have to be put down first."

"Sounds like Belos hates me," thought Danielle, hearing the tone that Belos used when referring to her.

"Huh? Ah!" said Luz, as meaty tendrils pull her and Danielle down.

"Had enough?" asked Emperor Belos, reappearing from the shadows.

"What do you think?" asked Danielle, shattering Belos's mask in half with an extended light sword. "No way… it can't…"

"Danielle…" said Luz, wondering what got Danielle into a panic.

"I like your spirit," said Emperor Belos, his mask falling to the ground and his face revealed. "But try that again and things won't end well for you two."

"Caleb Wittebane…" thought Danielle, seeing the uncanny resemblance to the statues back home. "But… how?"

"Now, I'm just a humble messenger for the Titan. In the grand scheme of things, the Owl Lady's life is inconsequential," said Emperor Belos, standing before Danielle and Luz. "But then you two showed up. If you two want to save your mentor, give me the portal to the human realm."

"But… our home… the story…not Philip…" thought Danielle, her mind a jumble as she clutches her chest. "Exploding… too much… exploding… exploding…"

"But... our home," said Luz, before hearing Eda shriek from above.

"You probably think we want to invade the human realm, but the Titan's will is not so boarish," said Emperor Belos, walking around Danielle and Luz. "You'll understand soon. Tick tock, human and half witch. The Owl Lady doesn't have much time left."

"No!" said Luz, still hearing Eda shriek. "Fine…"

"Just explode…" thought Danielle, letting the feeling over take her.

"Whoa!" said Luz, being blasted back some before staring at Danielle. "Danielle?"

"So, you finally show your true colors," said Emperor Belos, as a cut appears on his cheek.

Various elements float around Danielle. Various areas of her body were looking like the night sky as markings solidified in certain areas as well. Holding her hand, the elements fly towards Belos, relentlessly attacking him. Belos swats them away with little success. Teleporting in and out away from Danielle's various attacks, Belos glares at Danielle before teleporting behind her and striking her towards Luz. The key activates in battle when Luz accidently presses it and summons forth the Portal Door.

"The Titan will be pleased," said Belos, grabbing the Portal Door before kicking Danielle on the platform.

"Danielle!" shouted Luz, before Emperor Belos grabs her. "Let go!"

"I think you'll do better in my service," said Emperor Belos, before Luz blinds him with a Light Glyph. "Gaah!"

"Danielle," said Luz, running over to Danielle. "¿Estás bien?"

"That man is…" said Danielle, still lost to her own magic.

"Go on then. Go be a hero," said Belos, glaring at Danielle and Luz.

"My lose, your lose," said Danielle, eyeing the Portal Door and setting it aflame as it explodes. "You're not returning to Gravesfield Caleb."

"Wha…" said Luz, confused.

"What?" shouted Belos, eyeing Danielle as the platform reaches the top. "She knows more than she should."

"… … …" said Danielle, simply snapping her fingers and the statue petrifying Eda disintegrated to dust. "Now no one will ever be petrified again."

"Whoa," said Luz, before running over to Eda. "Eda!"

"Wh-what do we do?! I don't think any of my glyphs are that strong enough to help," said King, looking at Luz and Lilith as Danielle walks over.

"The spell wasn't completed! Maybe I can help her fight it!" said Lilith, only for Danielle to place her hands on Eda. "Danielle, wait."

"No! What is happening?" said Kikimora, before being blasted off the stage.

"I won't let Belos take her," said Danielle, pouring her magic into Eda hoping it would reverse the petrification.

"Danielle! Stop! You're going overboard!" said Luz, as blood was trickling out of Danielle's mouth. "Let Lilith do it!"

"Danielle, stop!" said Lilith, trying to pull Danielle away from Eda.

"Eda! Eda…" said Danielle, as the petrification on Eda went away.

"I got'cha," said Luz, catching Danielle as she stumbles. "Eda, are you okay?"

"As good as I'll ever be," replied Eda, before pushing everyone onto her. "Let's fly!"

"My liege!" said Kikimora, seeing Emperor Belos walking onto the stage with a brand new mask.

"Children of the Isles. The Titan has told me to spare the Owl Lady's life, but in return, her curse will strip away all her powers. Let her monstrous form be a lesson about the dangers of wild magic," said Emperor Belos, eyeing the crowd. "As for that actual half human half witch that you just saw, this is what happens when mingling with the human race. Her magic is too strong for her body resulting in a shorter lifespan. It's a miracle she's lived this long. The Titan has told me she has till the Day of Unity to live. Let this also be a lesson that being with a human is not ideal. As of now, I'm initiating a law forbidding any of our kind from getting together with the human race. Failure to follow through… well, you get what I mean."

As Eda flew through the night sky, everyone was holding on. Luz held Danielle close, seeing that she wasn't doing well. Seeing the Owl House in the distance, Eda flies a little faster before crashing landing just on the in skirts of the house.

"Don't worry, Eda. I'll run and get you some elixir and…" said Luz, holding Danielle as Lilith walks over.

"No, human. No amount of elixir can heal her now. Oh, sister. I should have done this a long time ago," said Lilith, as she cups Eda's face and placing their foreheads together. "With this spell declared, let the pain be shared."

"Eda!" said Luz, staring at Eda as Danielle clung to her. "Can you still do magic?"

"That's a no," replied Eda, seeing her spell circle disintegrate. "But I got those glyphs to fall back on now."

"I feel that I've been weakened as well," said Lilith, staring at her hand.

"Danielle!" said Luz, as Danielle slumped to the ground.

Breathing heavy, Danielle hacks up blood galore. There was no stopping it. And if that wasn't even worse, her markings were glowing brightly, tears streaming down her face. And the night sky parts spreading even more over her body, her eyes aglow throughout the whole ordeal. Luz, Eda, and King try to get close only to feel the area around Danielle to feel superheated.

"What's going on?" asked Luz, scared for Danielle. "Eda… is this… is Danielle even half witch?"

"I don't think she is Luz," replied Eda, trying to push through. "But whatever she is, she's still one of us. I'm not letting it hurt one of my owlets."

"One star baby coming through," said Hooty, regurgitating the tablet before Aster comes out in the open.

"Never leave me alone with that parasyte again," said Aster, curled up in a ball, rocking back and forth before seeing Danielle. "Oh my…"

"Help her!" shouted Hooty, staring at Aster.

"She needs to calm down," said Aster, staring at Hooty than Danielle.

"Would putting her to sleep work?" asked Luz, staring at Aster.

"Calm her down first than that," replied Aster, looking at Luz. "If you put her to sleep first…"

"I think I know where you're going with that," said Lilith, before looking at Eda. "Is there anything that calms her?"

"Her necklace," replied Eda, seeing Danielle grip her necklace. "It belonged to her mom. Whoa, King wait…"

"I think… King…" said Luz, seeing King bear with the heat and hugging Danielle before running in herself and joining.

Seeing that it was helping a little, Eda, Lilith, Hooty, and Aster join in on the hug. It had taken quite a while before Danielle calmed down but it worked. Hooty went back into the Owl House and grabbed a flower pot filled with sleeping nettles. Luz started drawing a Fire and Ice Combo she recently discovered on the ground. As Hooty placed the sleeping nettles in the center, Luz activated the Glyph Combo as the mist from the sleeping nettles was blown towards Danielle. Nodding off, Danielle falls asleep against Eda.

"Let's get Danielle inside," said Eda, staring at everyone. "Luz, King, grab everyone blanket, pillow and plush toy you can find. We're having a slumber party in the living room."

"Slumber party?" said Aster, confused.

"On it," said Luz and King, running inside the Owl House.

"Right, here we go," said Eda, picking Danielle up bridal style and walking towards the house. "Titan, she's burning up."

"Ascension," thought Aster, following after Eda and Lilith. "I didn't know it could be that painful. Is that why we don't get together with mortals? 'Cause ascension hurts the offspring. Which begs the question?"

"Hot hot hot-hot-hot," said Eda, placing Danielle down on the couch.

"Question… Eda, right?" said Aster, looking at Eda. "Where do babies come from?"

"Ask again in a hundred years," said Eda, blanching and avoiding the question.

It had taken quite a few runs to get everything in the living room. Blankets and pillows strewn about on the floor, looking like a giant messy nest. Plush toys scattered around for easy reach. Eda had placed Danielle in the pile before everyone just curled together, just staying in their dirty clothes, falling asleep, and hoping their dreams would banish whatever bad thoughts away.
