"Michelle!" Rob called shaking Michelle out of her trance as her eyes followed Gail round the corner, she snapped her head round to see Rob beckoning her with his hand to follow him.

"What's happened?" Michelle asked snapping out of her previous conversation and focusing on Rob.

"We can see her, she's gonna be fine, she's had a scan and everything's okay," Rob explained as Michelle sighed a breath of relief.

"Where is she?" Michelle asked.

"This way, come on," Rob signalled as he began to walk down the corridor.

The two of them walked down several hallways before reaching Carla's room, outside stood a police officer with a clipboard.

"We're hear to see Carla Connor," Michelle announced to the officer.

"Names?" The officer replied.

"Rob Donovan and Michelle Connor," Rob explained as the officer wrote the names down and nodded for them to enter the room.

"Awe babe," Michele gushed as she rushed to her friend's bedside and leaned over to hug her.

"Hey," Carla said as her voice broke, the sound of the handcuff keeping her chained to the bed clanged as she moved.

"Are you okay?" Rob asked taking a seat next to the his sister.

"Yeah, yeah the baby's fine, I'm fine," Carla reassured them as Michelle sat in the opposite seat to Rob.

"What happened?" Michelle asked.

"I was carrying something down the stairs and I just missed the step," Carla explained.

"But your okay, definitely?" Michelle assured.

"Yeah I promise, the bleedings stopped, I'm just a bit sore," Carla explained as Michelle and Rob nodded.

"Listen, I've just bumped into Gail," Michelle explained as both Rob and Carla snapped their head around to look at the women, "Tina's awake."

"What as in like fully conscious?" Carla asked.

"I don't know, Gail assumed that's why I was their and I already knew," Michelle continued, "After she said she was awake she just walked off, and then Rob called me."

"I mean that's positive if she's awake isn't it!" Carla exclaimed a hint of excitement in her voice, "She can prove my innocence."

"Possibly sweetheart," Michelle smiled slightly.

"Don't get your hopes too far up yet though sis, she might not remember, she's been in the coma for ages," Rob answered as Carla frowned at him.

"Why do not think she will like?" Carla asked.

"Not like that Car, I'm just saying we don't wanna get our hopes up for something and then be let down immediately," Rob tried to reason.

"Google it," Carla ordered, "Google how long it takes for memory to come back after a coma."

Rob nodded and began to oblige before the police officer who had been watching the trio in the room walked into the room.

"Phones are prohibited during visits," The officer explained.

"Chelle has Liz rang you?" Rob ignored the officer.

"I don't know," Michelle replied as she pulled her phone out of her jacket and checked it, "Yeah, 3 times."

"If you proceed to use phones, you will have to leave," The officer explained.

"Yeah right okay," Michelle nodded, "I'm gonna go ring her make sure nothings happened with the girls."

"The girls?" Carla questioned looking to Rob who was placing his phone in his pocket as Michelle left the room.

"Liz took Lia and Amy out for ice cream, I'm sure its nothing she's probably just saying they're back," Rob explained as Carla nodded.

"Liz?"

"Chelle, I heard about Carla, I'm round the corner-"

"Why are you round the-"

"Liz?" Michelle said looking at her phone as it beeped to an end, "Liz?"

"Michelle," Liz called from down the hallway.

"What you doing here?" Michelle asked.

"Have you heard Tina's awake?" Liz questioned as Michelle raised an eyebrow.

"Yeah, how'd you know?" Michelle answered.

"Norris," Liz explained, "Well and Mary … they were taking about it in the Rovers, apparently she woke up this morning."

"Do you think she's taking yet, I mean if she woke up this morning?" Michelle asked.

"I don't know love," Liz replied.

"Wait does Lia know?" Michelle fretted.

"No, no, we saw Maisie out in town, so Lia went to join her and Amy wanted to tag along so Lia said she'd look after her while they were in town," Liz explained.

"Right good," Michelle nodded.

"How's Carla?" Liz sighed sympathetically.

"She's okay, it was just a scare," Michelle smiled slightly, "The baby's fine, she'll be fine as well she's just sore."

"Right I'm gonna go and see if I can see Tina," Liz explained as Michelle nodded.

"Yeah I'm gonna go and check on Carla," Michelle nodded as they went to leave each other as 3 uniformed police officers and a detective came up the hallway and up to the police officer outside of Carla's room.

As the officers went to walk into Carla's room Michelle stepped in behind them, Liz standing closer to her daughter in law.

"Mr Donovan, can we have word please," The detective announced as Rob tilted his head in confusion.

"Why?" He questioned.

"Tina McIntyre has woke," The detective explained, "She has named her attacker."

"Well if she's said me, she's lying, I was know where near there," Rob protested.

"Mr Donovan, Tina has not named you, however she has named your fiancé, Tracy Barlow," The detective revealed, "We need to know her whereabouts."

"Tracy!" Michelle exclaimed.

"As in Tracy attacked Tina so like that proves I'm innocent," Carla sat up in her bed.

"We need to talk to Tracy, immediately," The detective ignored the women's question.

"I don't know where she is," Rob shrugged.

"We have contacted her father, Ken Barlow, he says you both went out for the day," The detective answered.

"Yeah well clearly I'm not with her," Rob sighed as Carla looked to him.

"Rob," Carla started.

"What do you want me to do, magic her up," Rob snapped.

"We'd appreciate if you could contact us if she gets in contact," The detective nodded before walking out of the room and whispering to the officer outside of Carla's room.

"Rob," Michelle began.

"No I don't wanna hear it," Rob shook his head.

"I know you don't wanna hear it but it could be true," Michelle suggested.

"Think about it," Carla chimed in.

"I've got to go," Rob shook his head and began to get up.

"Rob, don't do anything that's gonna mean you back inside," Carla warned as Rob looked at her for a moment before shaking his head and walked out of the room.

The car pulled to a holt as Rob sighed and placed his head on the steering wheel. His mind raced as he tried to think of what to do for the best. His head shot back up as a car behind him sounded their horn, he sighed and pulled into a car parking spot. He opened the door and got out, slamming the door behind him. The town was full to the brim with people, children running ahead of their parents, elderly couples walking to coffee shops. He walked throughout the town until he reached a coffee shop and pushed the door open, it was dead inside, probably the only place in the town that was quiet. The bell sounded announcing that the door had been opened and from across the room in the corner he saw Tracy nursing a coffee.

"Rob," She smiled getting up to see him, "I thought you were never coming back."

"Yeah sorry, there was traffic," Rob said in a trance like manner as he leaned into his fiancé's hug.

"Where did you go, you only went back for my purse," Tracy laughed slightly, "Speaking of, I need to pay the tab now your back with it."

"Carla had a fall in the prison, me and Michelle went to see her in the hospital," Rob explained.

"Oh, is she okay," Tracy asked as Rob nodded.

"Yeah she's fine, its just a shame she's in there when she's innocent," Rob sighed as Tracy nodded.

"Yeah well, they might find out who it is, you never know," Tracy shrugged.

"I'm starting think it might be Peter," Rob teased slightly, "I heard the police talking outside Carla's room as well, they were mentioning him."

"Well why would they think its Peter, its Carla," Tracy shook her head.

"Yeah well it's not been proven that it's Carla, and Peter's got just as good a motive as Carla would, more even," Rob protested.

"Yeah well Peter wouldn't do that, it was Carla that tore into Tina's flat like a maniac, and the way she came out of her flat she was-"

"I thought you said you didn't see Carla come out Tina's flat," Rob interrupted as Tracy laughed slightly.

"Yeah well I didn't," Tracy defended.

"So how do you know what she was like after she went into Tina's flat," Rob questioned, "In fact how do you know what Carla was like going into Tina's flat if you were at home, like you said."

"Yeah well I've just heard, haven't I," Tracy snapped back.

"Unless you haven't though," Rob raised his eyebrow leaning closer across the table to Tracy, "What about if you actually saw it."

"Rob what are you on about?" Tracy sighed.

"It wasn't Carla was it," Rob replied, "Or Peter."

"Rob-"

"It was you wasn't it," Rob revealed as Tracy scoffed.

"How could you even think that," Tracy demanded.

"See I've been thinking," Rob explained, "And when I asked you to give me an alibi, you had absolutely no issue with it. Now I thought that was just cause you believed I wouldn't hurt her and it was out of love. But what if it wasn't, what if it was because you weren't in the house in the first place, and by you giving me an alibi it gave you one too."

"Rob your talking shit," Tracy sighed going to get up.

"Where were you on the night Tina was attacked?" Rob asked grabbing onto her hand.

"Rob I'm bored I wanna go home," Tracy sighed looking down at him.

"Why we're only talking, unless I need to phone someone, like Ken or Peter, maybe they can help us get to the bottom of it," Rob tormented.

"Rob," Tracy huffed sitting down opposite him, "I was at home, you know this."

"No but I don't though do I, cause I left you at home, but then we didn't see each other until after Tina was found."

"Rob I'm sick of your games," Tracy sighed, "Just say what you wanna say."

"You attacked Tina didn't you?" Rob questioned.

"Rob-"

"Please Tracy, if you ever loved me as much as you claimed, be honest with me," Rob pleaded.

"I didn't touch her," Tracy assured him.

"Trace, I won't tell anyone, I promise, I just want you to be honest with me. If you've done something we can work through it together, but only if you tell me," Rob explained as Tracy sighed.

A few moments had passed of silence before Tracy replied, "I didn't know about the affair, but she knew I was getting dodgy gear from Tony for the shop. I went to have it out with her and that's when I saw Carla going into Tina's flat. I waited in the ginnel next to Roy's for Carla to come out, I thought I was more hidden but clearly she must of saw me. I went up to confront Tina and she was crying, she said she'd had enough arguing for one day but I was annoyed and I wanted her to know. She went out onto the balcony and I followed her, she started saying that she would tell you because you deserved better than me. I lost it, I slapped her, she slapped me back and then turned around saying she would shout it from the rooftops. I couldn't be dealing with the fallout if it was revealed I was getting knock off stuff for the shop, she'd end up involving the police and you might of been sent back to prison etc. I went quiet and by the time she turned back round to see what I was doing, I'd found a half a plank of wood on the floor, I hit her round the head with it. I must of hit her too hard though cause she fell off the balcony, I tried to catch her by her hand but I couldn't catch her … I went down to see if she was moving but she wasn't. I took her bracelet and cleaned it so it wouldn't have my fingerprints on. I hid the wood and the bracelet at the back of the shed, I figured cause it was just wood it would blend in."

Rob sat there in silence for few minutes as Tracy staring at him longingly, "Please Rob, say something."

"Did you put the bracelet in Carla's flat for the police to find?" Rob questioned.

"It wasn't like that, when they were talking to Peter and you'd been arrested I was just scared they were gonna search the house and find it, so I hid it at Carla's, I used your keys to get in," Tracy explained.

"No you did that on purpose didn't you, you made it look like Carla did this. The hiding of the bracelet, you suddenly 'forgetting' that you saw Carla," Rob raged, "You did it on purpose!"

"No Rob-"

Tracy was interrupted y the bell on the café door echoing through the café catching both Rob and Tracy attention to reveal a detective and two police officers in the doorway.

"Tracy Barlow," The detective announced as the officers stepped forward to meet the women who stepped up from behind the table, "I am arresting you on suspicion of attempted murder, you do not have to say anything but it may harm your defence if you do not mention when questioned something, which you may later rely on in court, or anything you do say may be given in evidence."

"Rob?" Tracy exclaimed as an officer continued to handcuff her wrists.

"I loved you Tracy," Rob started.

"Loved?" Tracy questioned.

"I loved you," Rob repeated, "But I cannot just sit there and pretend that I don't know what you did, not only did you do it but you then set Carla up for it!"

"Rob please," Tracy pleaded.

"Time to go Miss Barlow," The detective announced.

"She confessed to me," Rob revealed stopping them in their tracks as they turned to face him, "Just in case she tries to get out of it … I recorded it."

He slammed his phone down on the table to reveal the recording app that was playing on his phone as the detective looked between the phone and Tracy as her bottom lip began to quiver.
